REVIEWS OF Tishomingo State Park IN Mississippi

Amanda Herzberg

The trail following the (swinging?) bridge was amazing. Frequent changes of landscape and lots of streams and small water falls to cool off in.

Robert Little

We were here 10 years ago. Love the Natchez Trace Parkway and Tishomingo State Park is right on the Trace. From our spot (#14) you can forget satellite TV and radio. There's a heavily wooded hill to the south. Good Verizon wireless coverage though. With water and electric on site, I walked a short distance to the bath house and enjoyed a long hot shower. The facility is clean and we'll maintained. We will be back!

Had a great time, beautiful place

Laura Z

Beautiful hiking trails with tons of boulders the size of houses. Campground was a little cramped and not many sites could accommodate a 40 ft. 5th wheel. Many of them had steep drop offs on one or both sides of the parking pad.

Ally P.

Love going here! Great for a day out in nature.

Tim Ashcraft

Great State Park. Nice place decent sites some can be kind of tough but if you plan ahead you can get a great spot. Has a super nice super clean bath house. Not too far away from a major highway and Walmart and grocery stores. Within walking distance of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Plenty to do and plenty to see. Yes the lake stays low but it's not because of a "hole in the dam", it's because of a geological change that has happened to the area over time since the lake was built. The front office has a letter that explains this in great detail.

Renee Back

This was a beautiful park! Loved the bridge. Not sure I would have felt safe with more than two of us on it, but it does give a weight limit. We played half a round of disc golf. The course could use a little work. We didn’t always know where the basket was and the pictures were gone off a lot of the tees. But we enjoyed ourselves.

Jeremy Varney

Great park, facilities are well kept, tent campsites are nice an far apart, trails are a definite moderate difficulty. Just wish there were more trails.

Chris Hughes

Nice size pool, we've been to the park about a dozen times this summer. If we're still here next summer we'll be visiting again!

Mary Yancy

Our Youth had a blast. Enjoyed site seeing and the beautiful weather.

Jason Ohler

Great place to visit. My daughters and I had a great hike. Easy trials and some a little more challenging.

Anthony Smith

I enjoy going there just to be in, I guess you could call, a semi controlled, outdoor environment.

Stacey Posey

The prettiest, most relaxing place in the state

Willie Huey

We raised our kids up here love every thing about ot

Donna Reed

Great park! Many activities!

Jim Savey

Very beautiful park. Can't wait to return and adventure more of it

Fred Becker

Nice sites, both 30 and 50 amp, tables and fire rings. Worked great for us, but I'm guessing if you had a long rv rig, might be tough fitting inside the parking area

Brian G

Great place for trail walking, seeing the waterfalls and swinging bridge

Joshua Grigsby

This is one of the best State Parks I've been to. It is a very beautiful park, with great camping and fishing options. It also has nice playgrounds for the kids and an awesome swinging Bridge that crosses a creek.

Derek Wong

This park is got a really great view for camping ($12 and up ) and day use. ($4). The waterfall is not amazing but it's worth hiking there to get soaked in a hot summer day, you also have to pass the swing bridge. The lake is beautiful and there's definitely opportunity for fishing there. The swimming pool area is clean but seems to be closed. (I believe it's $4 for swimming pass)

Debbie Stephenson

It's affordable and a great place for adventure and family fun, I love tishamingo state park

Shevon Walden

Beautiful and lots of different activities to do!

Peter Pazucha

While driving the Natchez Trace Parkway we stopped off to see this Mississippi State Park. It's a very nice state park, with nice campgrounds. Water and electric to the sites -- no full hookups but a dump station within the park. I didn't measure the sites but our 32' RV with Toad might not fit in very many of the sites. Nice area with trails. Nice lake. We'll be back!

romain lemaitre

Nice place to see

Elizabeth Mangum

The staff is very rude! The lady at the front desk let my family go through without paying and when the park ranger asked us where the tag was we told him what the lady said and then he came back and told us that she dis not say that that we needed to come back and pay. So we headed up there and paid but the lady still was saying we didnt and called us LIARS i havent ever seen anything like it! But with all that being said the view was amazing and so very beautiful!!

James Bell

Wow, it sure take you back in time! Please support this park!!

Michael Brown

Great scenery. Not many good sites for rving but tent camping is good. Lots of trails to explore with incredible landscapes. Facilities are dated but functional. Small lake that's shallow but has good kayak fishing. Park offers canoe rentals. Several group cabins to rent. Worth a visit.

Kristy Olson

Great family trails. Cheap entry.

Triple K's

Great place for the family to spend the day walking trails. Watching the birds. So much to do and see. We enjoyed it very much..

Jessica Wambles

Beautiful park! Only downfall is charging guests to enter park when attending a wedding. Nobody wants to ask their guests to pay to come to their wedding.

Ashley

We really enjoyed our family time at the park. There is plenty to do for kids of all ages!

Timothy Kuykendall

Lake was really bad low. The camping pads need to be 12ft wide and trees cut back from the pads to allow some sites to accommodate slides and awnings. The scenery is beautiful and worth going to see. Park rangers were super nice and helpful.

Branan Mercer

Contrary to the website there was no pool...in the middle of summer. It was closed because of lack of lifeguards. Also our cabin’s air conditioner broke on the day we were traveling to the camp ground. They put in a window unit and called to tell us while we were on the way. Said we could cancel if we wanted too. We decided to keep traveling to see how bad the cabin would be without air. Well, they only put a window unit in the bedroom so only half the cabin was comfortable enough to be in. We decided to cancel and find another place to stay but they would not refund our money at that point because “we called and told you about the problem before you arrived”. Apparently when the called that was the only time we were allowed to cancel... I understand these kind of things happen, but at the end of our trip we paid full price to stay at a park that falsely advertised a pool and an air conditioned cabin. They would not even give us a discount because the state would not approve it. I’m not unreasonable. I know it was a state park and we should be prepared for anything. But we had our 3 yr old with us. In the middle of summer. We received no service other than a window unit (which I was grateful for). And one free water bottle. This is probably more of a story of how these parks are severely underfunded rather than poor customer service. Unfortunately, I really believe the staff was doing the best they were allowed to. A nice park, just make sure you call and ask questions about EVERYTHING. They do not willingly provide this info if you don’t.

Michael Strickland

Very beautiful park.

Robin Svab

$4 per car .Had no trouble finding picnic table with grill. Many trails, swinging bridge, frisbee golf They have a pool for a few dollars more per swimmer but it is for swimmers only its 6 feet in the shallow end and no kiddie pool.Place to rock climb, canoe, fish. Great and helpful staff

Julie Conwill

This park joins our farm and it's such a beautiful place to spend the day hiking and picnicking or camping with the family and pets are always welcome! Haines Lake has crappie and bass fish and the shower/bathroom areas are really nice! Definitely a must visit!

Christy Milbourne

If I could give six stars, I would. This is the most beautiful place I've ever been to in Mississippi. I wish we could have stayed longer, and we definitely intend to go back. A+, and highly recommend the Outcroppings Trail.

Bruce King

Beautiful old state park! Loved the hiking trails and the laid back, quiet atmosphere! Plenty of campsites for RVs and cabins, a lake, showers for campers and just off the gorgeous Natchez Trace Parkway!

Nathaniel Scott

Nice camp ground (for Mississippi). Primitive sites are more like hike-in. It's only a hundred feet up hill, but you sure can't park next to your primitive site. Makes the $16.05 / night feel as steep as the hill.

Lynnie Kaye

Lovely reminder of the original Mississippi landscape. So thankful for this vestige of forested tranquility and rocky bluffs.

l m

One of Mississippi's best parks

John Mercier

Wonderful hiking, rock climbing, canoeing and kayaking, a beautiful swinging bridge, and lots of other fun things to do.

Armando Porter

It was an awesome day.

David Rakestraw

There are great hiking trails and fun disc golf courses throughout the park. There is also a very nice pool to swim in if you need to rest after all the acivities in the woods. The stone cabins are great and have almost all you need. Really great place!

Megan Fortune

Beautiful state park. Highlights include the suspended Bridge and lovely hiking trails, the mill, and the canoe trip. I was in the group camp for a week. Some of the cabins need some TLC, but they are comfortable enough. The campfire area is on the small side. There is plenty of room for indoor activities and with the use of public areas there is space to spread out outdoors. The staff is wonderful and attentive. You can tell that they care about the park and the visitors in their actions. There is so much to explore at the park. I intend to keep going back every summer!

Adrienne Taylor

What a great little park, full of activities and nature. You can canoe/kayak, hike, rock climb, disc golf and camp all in one park. If you're in Memphis, this is the closest "nice" state park you'll find. Usually not over ran with people either. Our favorite quick weekend outdoors getaway.

Benjamin Rossetti

One of the very few rocky parks in Mississippi. Beautiful nature. Facilities and man made structures need lots of improvement.

Howard Thomas

Outcroping trail was awesome so was the pioneer cabin area.

Mary Tipton

Hiking trails looks awesome. Will come back later to camp.

Debra Janosko

I have traveled all over the USA and this little piece of heaven is my little hole. 15 miles of trails to hike and enjoy. Great campground & cabins open year round.

Karen Alexander

Fun in the rain that day!

madeline cuevas

Breathtaking. Fantastic hiking. Big rocks, waterfall, swinging bridge, natural springs. No other place like it in Mississippi.

Teresa Wilbourn

My Dad helped build this park as a member of the CCC's and I've been coming here all my life,I have so many memories of my Dad and my childhood here! This place is full of history and craftsmanship and that makes it priceless! The staff is nice and the park is clean and beautiful and u can't beat the rental rates, it's well worth what u pay! I have recommended this place to everyone I can think of and always will!

Gary Angle

Peaceful quite relaxing.

Jill Lowther

Old and unkept. The campground is one of the worst state parks Ive seen. Most of the sites have an erosion problem with the pad dropping off severely. Dumpsters had trash strewn all over the ground and were placed on the dirt. We were there in the rain so mud everywhere. In between sites was covered in poison ivy. Will not be back.

T. Rick

fer de swingin' bridge o'er de gorge & de 6 mile float trip down river from April-October

Susan Ezzell

Love the swinging bridge.

J Burbank

A fun getaway! Quiet and peaceful cabins.

Alan Prentiss

Place is run down. Needs mowing, the aircondition is out in the bath house and was told by staff that the government is not funding the parks. One of the bath house has had the same sign up for 3 years saying closed for the season. I remember years ago when this park was top notch. Really sad now. The pool was not open after being told it was going to be filled Thursday. Staff states "we are running behind " But hey, we have the hiking trails.

K Cook

NO CAMP HOST. The sites are not maintained. The shower is dirty. It's open 24 hours but no gate guard after hours, so people roll in and party, then leave. So if you like to be loud, drink and party, this is a five star campsite.

Carol Owens

Lots to do with great hiking trails although the maps are a little hard to follow. Interesting geology, topography and history. I enjoyed searching for spring flowers. The disc golf is AMAZING.

Kealee _bts_tk!

It really helped me and the family relax and have fun

chuck cofield

The place is more calmer and relaxing and beautiful at night while fishing

Scoutsout85

Beautiful scenery. Nice walking trails. Took the outer trails and the old camp site trails with kids and they enjoyed it. Great place to spend a day of free time with friends or family. Very pretty scenery.

Deb Willis

This was our first visit and this park is absolutely beautiful!!! So much to see and trails to explore everywhere. The pad for our camper was concrete and almost level and we saw that most of the pads were in very good shape. Water and electric available and all with a view of the lake, which was up quite well when we went! Our only complaint is that of the three bathhouses, only one was in service and one that was partially in service. The one closest to our site was out of service. I understand problems arise, but it appeared this one had been out of service for some time. It would have been nice to have been notified by the host when we came in and to have seen on the website that not all bathhouses were usable. Thankfully we were prepared, but not all who camp, especially tent campers, have that option.

Mike Gras

Five Stars of you love both comfort and rustic. Beautiful park. Might we'll be the most beautiful in Mississippi.

Haley Herfurth

We had such a nice time at Tishomingo! We did the standard camping, so we set up a tent but were able to have a nice spot to park a car and access to electrical outlets and a water spigot. The bath houses were conveniently located and very clean. There is lots of hiking around and a a gas station / grocery store in nearby Tishomingo if you need necessities. We'll be going back!

Maigen Patterson

Great place to spend the day with the extended family. Plenty of shade to have a picnic and the trail is shaded, too.

Kelly M

Very beautiful here. Loved hiking the trails and taking photos. Will visit many more times.

Crystal Madru

One of the best places to take pictures of the family. Took my daughters senior pics there and everyone is raving over the scenry.

Christy Thompson

Loved this place Cabins we're awesome!

Janey Browning

If you love the outdoors you must visit tishomingo state park. Very beautiful.

Kaela Inman

5 stars for the clean + gorgeous campground :)

Donna Coffin

Great hiking! Several different trails, however although the trails are easily marked with red paint dots on trees the trails are not labeled and you don't know where one ends and another begins. Ended up hiking an additional 5 miles to get back to our vehicle.

Liz Davidson

Bathrooms need LOTS of attention.

leslie grantham

Great place for nature lovers. Love the swinging bridge and trails

D Naq

Cool place to explore for the casual adventurer. The pool is closed for the season, but it should look closed. It looks like it's just catching leaves and making algae, and the fact that the spouts are still on indicates that it has been well neglected as the seasons shift and the weather cools down. The volleyball net needs to be updated, as well as the entire restroom facility near the pool/playground area. The trails are pleasant and peaceful with lots of human contact. The old house is cool too. It's a neat place to go for people who are looking for an enjoyable afternoon or perhaps weekend but not a place to really rough it or hardcore adventure. In conclusion: beautifully enjoyable place to go for a short period of time.

Debbie Guidi

One of the most beautiful parks we have yet to enter...along with 3 disc golf courses, all in the trees, fallen leaves, a true fall...gorgeous! While staying at the Tiffin Campground we made this trip at least 6 times...loved every moment... great walking trails on the other side of the swinging bridge...bring your camera and keep it out!

Pat Buegeler

Very nice. Great view of Lake. Clean restrooms. Beautiful. Lots to do.

Stsphen Bond

This used to be the best park in the south I've been going here for 25 years we hand cut and made the disc golf courses for them we did the maintenance on the courses and they wold put us up the old staff was like family to us,now new staff is rude and the new rangers are verry rude and disrespectful they haven't kept the park up, thanks for ruining the best place around I don't even feel welcome here now

Jennifer Lewellen

Beautiful park with so much to explore and do!

Aaron Kelley

The park was nice. Really cool "rope" suspension bridge over Bear Creek. The trails were good and can pose a fairly good view at sunset if you can get to a high enough point.

Stacy Grisham

Secluded fairly well maintained state park with friendly staff. Great for bird watching and hiking! Pet friendly except buildings. Pool is only open Thursday through Sunday seasonally. Overall pleasant inexpensive stay!

Lori Corbin

One of our absolute favorite places to visit!! The beauty and peace there just seeps into your spirit and allows you to just "reset" yourself both mentally and physically. The hiking can be either easy or hard, biking is good, and I always enjoy the resident flock of Canadian geese on the pond by the campsites. Good clean bath houses also. Great all around park experience.

Ben Hunter

It is a very nice park other than it being stuck in the past with amenities and upkeep. It is nice to update a welcome center but dont leave out the rest of the park. Ample space in the campgrounds, nice hiking trails, clean bathrooms.

Drew Funderburk

My family has visited here annually for the past 10+ years. The hiking trails are gorgeous and vary in levels of difficulty. There are plenty of areas to go biking as well. Depending on the season and years weather, the creek is typically high enough that we've gone canoeing (either renting or bringing our own). The 2-2 1/2 hour canoe trip is calming (there are a few "rapids") and scenic. The entire park is peaceful and a great place for rest. Due to a hole in the lake, the water levels vary from year to year. This year, the lake had been repaired so water levels were higher. Situated to the far end of the lake, there are a few docks to go fishing from. There is a playground near the swinging bridge, as well as a sand volleyball court next to the pool, which is open seasonally Thursday-Saturday. The times we've stopped to play volleyball or swim there, everything was in order and clean, despite being an older facility. There's also a field a few feet away from the pool that's large enough for playing sport (e.g. football, soccer, ultimate, etc.). We've camped here in a pop up, a tent, and now in the cabins, as our family has continued to expand. Campsites and cabins are well kept and clean, despite being older. In the main camping area, there are two restroom and shower buildings, one newer and one much older. The two "issues" that come to mind are as follows: the park is underfunded, and as a result, understaffed, which causes inconsistent upkeep in certain areas; and the grey water station is located right beside the chapel pavilion. Despite these two items, I still highly recommend Tishomingo State Park for all ages and physical capabilities, as there is something available for everyone.

Ginette and Ron Green

Great hiking and nice camping. Each site has waterfront.

Koreen Briggs

Great hiking trails. Always enjoy it there

C. Bullard

I've always enjoyed this park. The only thing that is disappointing in recent years is that some disrepectful people find it necessary to deface the natural stone with graffiti: spray paint, markers, etc. This was not the case as little as 5 years ago. Good hikes and fun for active kids and families. Swinging bridge, playground, camping.

Onyx Xteriors

When I drove up for the first time in over 20 years of being here, I was not happy it was after 5 PM and they still charged me $4 to get in just for a couple of hours. The first stop I made was at the old cabin which was still in great shape and the waterfall behind it was still there. This was a short but very peaceful stop. My knees give me problems so I was not there for an extensive hike. Next I stopped at the swinging bridge. I did notice it was soon to be in need of some repairs. Once across the bridge, I had a choice of left or right. I remember the path makes a huge circle. So I chose left. Climbed the first steps. Then crossed a wood bridge. Then another small set of steps....and saw step after step after step. Ok time to turn around and try the right side. It went on a low slope and gentle walking path by the water. After about 15 minutes I found a nice area I could listen to the Rapids and even let my dog play in the water. I wanted the rest of the time till dark just relaxing. My initial thoughts of complaining about the amount were wrong. I would have played twice as much. Thank you to the park. I will return to enjoy this again.

Jennifer Buckley

Fantastic location for solo campers such as myself, family & recreational use! Trails on site and surrounding area is serene with wildlife and great staff. Also very convenient access off the Natchez Trace. I'm hooked and will return.

Aimee Schumacher

Each visit just gets better

Alias Watkins

Love the campground. We had a blast. Lots of hiking trails and places to explore. Frisbee golf is really neat it is very challenging. The lake is on the small side not much to catch in it.

Chancellor Paden

Always the best place to get aways

Jackie Sherwood

We enjoyed it so much! They have beautiful hiking trails and gorgeous sites!

Embril Williams

Great staff, and beautiful scenery.

George Shaw

Tishomingo State Park is a wonderful place to take your family! If you haven't been, your missing out!

connie jones

My favorite "happy place" on earth! So beautiful and restful! This beautiful park is in significant need of funding/help to preserve!

Nancy Currie

Interesting park, could use some love and work in the campground love the bridge!

Joshua Poss

I tried calling well before closing and the staff kept picking up the phone and hanging up. After 10 of these calls, they started laying the phone on the counter and were talking and laughing about other customers. I thought when they finished gabbing, someone would pick up but no, they just hung up on me again. This park has to be losing a ton of money because the staff is too lazy to answer the phone.

Salty McQueen

The scenery was amazing and the cabin was in perfect condition. Absolutely loved spending time with family: swimming, grilling, and canoeing

Big Al Bowling

Good for the ones who like hiking and climbing. Especially the High Spots of Rock Overhangs.

Heathren

A beautiful state park with a huge swinging bridge, waterfalls, boat ramp, hiking trails, picinic areas, and more. Allow several camping options from waterfront tent sites, RV pads, cabins, and a group camping area with cabins. Each option is beautifully nooked within the trees and lake.

Jody Wilson

Beautiful place in MS. Reminds me of the mountains. It just hills but gives you the feel of being in the Smokies at times.

Sue Parker

This is a great little place to spend some quiet time. Cabins are adequate. Although they need dusting and a lot of tlc, bedding, towels, bathroom and kitchen were clean. Beds were comfortable. Be forwarned there is no television and internet is sketchy. Very hot in summer and few activities rather than hiking. There is air conditioning. If you plan to use the pool it's not open until Thursday. Wednesday night it had lots of algae so we didn't try to use. They do have playgrounds that are fun.Fall would be a great time to visit, hike and just have some down time in front of the cabin fireplace. Don't forget your matches, books, and something to play music.

Danny B.

Very nice park, we will have to go camping there sometime.

Shawn Edwards

Come here every year. Absolutely love it

TheHikingnut

Great day trip Or weekend cabin getaway. Has pool in summer also frisbee golf. 4 dollars a car to enter

Derrick Kelley

Great park

Jerrod Border

Amazing park great scenic RV site on the lake 4$ per car entrance fee $20 for RV site. If you arrive after hours drop the money in the box (honor system in effect) best hiking trails in Mississippi.

Cody Jordan

How could you not like this place? One of the most unique areas in Mississippi. The cabin was reasonably priced and clean. Could've done without the deer head on the wall, but other than that no complaints. The huge screened in porch would be awesome in the spring and fall. Another great thing is that this park is only 2 miles off the Natchez Trace.

Debbi Walling

Very nice park. Hiking trails, picnic areas, employees are helpful. Trails and campground need some work. Trail clearing is needed and the campground sites need improvement t, they are narrow for RV’s and the slabs drop precariously. This is a great place for a hike or picnic and dogs are welcome. Loys of Halloween decorations.

Darrell Barnes

Beautiful Mississippi!

Christie Renea

Love the trails and camping here. If you want to rent a cabin I recommend making it in advanced they get full fast. There is a fee to just enter the park as well.

Daneita Hargett-Hayes

Great place to spend the day outside with the people you love.

duck Christensen

Views are gorgeous, and you also can canoe down the river, for a fee of course, hiking trail is also great and the kids love it! And afterwards depends on when it opens, they also have a pool and playground, with a disc golf course!! Have been several times and would recommend to anyone!!

Fabian Ihrke

My favoret place in Mississippi. It is the most beautiful place in Mississippi. A must visit when in Mississippi.

Heather Couture

Loved my trip to Tishomingo State Park. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and camped for the night. Took a kayak trip down Bear Creek this morning. The scenery is spectacular. Cant wait to come back.

Maria Gahlinger

Lovely State Park along the Natchez Trace Parkway. Great sites with cement pads and water/ electric for RVs. Good, well marked hiking trails. Close to town of Tishomingo.

Jordan Kimmel

So beautiful

Deanna Diede

Beautiful park with penty of trails to keep you entertained; I think there is 10 miles worth. I went camping there in October and the campground was still pretty crowded. I don't think I would camp there in the summer though because the campsites and very close together. I prefer more room between my tent and the next guy. Also the supporting facilites (restrooms and etc) were not well maintained. All of them had atleast one, if not more, over flown/broken toilet. On a positive note the park itself was pretty clean. I rarely seen any trash on the ground. It does cost to enter the park. I think it was 4 dollars a car or 22 bucks a night to camp.

Jaime M

Great walk. And we saw a gator.

Sarah ellzey

My family and I had a great visit despite the fact that it rained the whole time. The trails are well maintained and are very easy going. Such a beautiful place and we can't wait to go back. We did primitive camping and it was so nice that the sites have ample space so that your not on top of each other. Lots of beautiful country.

Breanna Willock

Honestly, I love this place. It's so amazing, it's breathtaking and so relaxing.

Robert&Marie Edwards

Love it here. We come every year and will continue to come back...

Jesse D

Absolutely stunning park. Many RV pads with water and electricity around the lake and most of them are level. Nice little cabins for rent, tons of camp sites, a few pavilions you can rent and a nice playground and swimming pool for the kids. They even have an 18 hole disc golf course. There are signs indicating that there is top rope climbing and bouldering in multiple locations at the park but it was a little wet to venture out and see them. Definitely worth the stop!

Devlyn Young

Great place for a family reunion!

Amy Beene

This park has held some of the best memories for me and my family! We've been multiple times and still have not explored the whole place. the camping is great... you can be in a little area without being right next to another tent. We took our dogs and they loved it. there are some great rocks and bouldering that you can climb and mess around with. My favorite is the canoeing. Its gorgeous and breathtaking! The water is smooth and can be fast and fun if the water level is high. I've been when the water level is low and when its high. both times were fun but when its low its a little safer. We've found some great bugs and wildlife. There are some great historic things to visit and explore. I highly recommend this as a day trip or weekend camping. We will definitely go again.

Jeff Blanton

Love this place. It's great to carry your family and enjoy the outdoors.

Eric Price

Nice park, pretty scenery. The park has several hiking trails, disc golf course and a lake (Which was low on our trip) also has cabins(including group cabins) has a old cabin just for looks and a swinging bridge and a pool. Some of the sites are better that others if you have a larger travel trailer.

MariMichael Hill

Staff was not friendly and acting as if we were an inconvenience to them.

Larry Brown

Beautiful nature area, kayak/canoe down the creek, walk the many trails including the swinging bridge. Fun adventure.

Brian Rodgers

Beautiful campsite along a picturesque lake. Great hiking trails! One caution: lots of poison ivy. Comfort Stations include heated showers and were very clean. Bring your own firewood or find downed limbs- none sold at welcome station. Forget something? Well equipped Dollar General not far down the road.

Richard Slone

Beautiful park!

George Richards

I loved this place open space around the campsites and on a lake

Sheena Sutton

Had a great first Easter egg hunt wit my 9 mo old she picked up six eggs

Ashley Harris

Suitor Suitor

I can't find the dicgolf baskets

Valerie Scuorzo

Not kept up very well.

kerri crabb

Love our park

Lara Watkins

Campsites 1-13 have steep elevation no so suitable for tent camping if you prefer flat ground. Sites 14+ are better for tent camping.

Susan Roach

Great hiking trails, lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery!

Jen-fur

Simply put ~ I would live here if I could.✌

Victorian Lover

We camped one night because we had all our work completed at Tiffin (or so we thought) and once you pay your bill at Tiffin you must leave. Anyway about the park. The park is beautiful. It is not well maintained. The bathrooms were sandy and wet. I get it, it's a park with kids and water but the rules say "no swimming or wading except in a certain area" and no one seemed to care. I went to a bathroom kind of near the 1800s cabin and it looked as if it was built in the 1950s. And speaking of the beautiful 1800s cabin, the roof has holes in it and it needs repairs now!! Water damage will destroy that wonderful structure. I love nature as much as the next person, but either kill the poison ivy along the trails or put up signs to warn people about it. It was all over. Also, occasionally there were 4x4 posts in the ground near a rock formation but nothing written on it, nor was anything on the maps to indicate anything of importance. I noticed what I believe to be lots of wild Hydrangeas and interesting roots like what you see in the mangroves, but nothing written about it. We have a class A RV, Many of the sites were small and uneven and appear to be washing away from erosion along the sides of the concrete. We eventually found a spot but we had to cut back several low branches so we wouldn't damage the rig. With work and money it could be a really great park.

Jr Binkard

This is a beautiful park with many things to keep you entertained or relaxed. The natural beauty is awesome. They have used on site rocks to build so much here. This is a must see.

Susan Thornton

Peaceful quiet and relaxing. Staff is awesome. Camping was a great experience. The canoe trip was a wonderful way to just relax and have fun. Hiking is great. Good place for families.

Awesome place! Friendly staff! Excellent hiking! Bathhouses are nice. Campsite is dark and needs some upgrades, but it truly is a worthy place to stop for a night or two!
