Calm easy going early in the morning you can see geese looking for food on the bank and on the roads the deer like to go through the cabin area grazing

What a great surprise! We picked this park based on location and we think we found our new favorite camping spot! Relaxing, clean and beautiful - and waterfront! The staff was very kind and accommodating to our request to stay another night. All of our neighbors were so friendly, too.

Great state park. Decent bath house. Decent camp spots. Bring a large bag of corn from Walmart or TSC to feed the deer. Bring everything you think you might need. The closest Walmart is about 30 miles away in Batesville. There is a Dollar General about 5 miles away and it has the average dollar store items. There is also fuel stations around the same area.

Could be a great place if the State would spend a little money on cleaning up and repairing things such as the road to boat ramp had pot holes and road around ramp was about to fall in lake.Tree trimming would help on spaces as couldn't get awning out due to overgrown trees.

Camp sites are ok, sewage pipes stick up 8-10” above ground making it difficult to dump. Play grounds are for really small children (5 and under). Bought wood from state and got pine (7.50 a bundle), how am I to use this for s’mores or anything other than just burning. It is a quiet place, but one would think the State could do a little better.

Weekend with the family (5 kids). Peaceful almost the whole time (5 kids) - fire pit and sun set was the best. Problem with the first cabin, staff took care of us right away.

Just stayed overnight in one of their duplex cabins. Very nice. Great view of the lake. Perfectly shaded cabin area. Updated. Very hot water! Just need to replace screens on the screen doors but everything else was awesome!

Little tight for a large 5th wheel. Lake was too high to be able to use sewer hookup. Beautiful park.

It was beautiful and peaceful. While I did have a moment where I was trapped in the bathroom by a wolf spider, over all a great detour.

We loved this park so much we stayed here twice! Once on the way to Mardi Gras and second on the way back to Iowa. All the spots are nicely spaced, flat for the campers, and beautiful surroundings. The bathroom and shower facilities are top notch! We will be back.

Staying at cabin 1 here at Cossar Park for 3 notes. The lake is way down so quite a walk to the water, the cabin it self is nice,good view, but lacks kitchen equipment. There are 3 forks, 3 butter knives, 4 teaspoons,and 1 soup spoon

$14 full hook up sites, very shady, Frisbee golf course, swimming pool, not crowded when we were there.

This is our family favorite camping spot. Relaxation, wildlife, peaceful, helpful staff. Frisbee golf, putt-putt golf, fishing. Full hook-ups with shade included. What more can you ask for in a quick weekend get-away.

Awesome! Quite! Deer everywhere! Our family loves it here. Nice size lake took 3 hours to cover the edges around it via pontoon. Yocona Ridge campground is our favorite. Nice bathhouse facilities.

Very basic cabin, but nice for 2 guys fishing. Cabin was clean and AC was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place for fishers if you're not expecting anything fancy.

Brian and his crew have done a great job at Jones Creek campground. Yocona ridge campground is closed due to high water. Very relaxing weekend.

Awesome place to visit! Deer running free all over Campground and park in general. Putt Putt golf course has been recently renovated and it's tons of fun. Staff are extremely friendly!

Good quiet place for families. The staff is friendly. Facilities are on par with the other state parks I've visited in Mississippi. Fishing is good, and we enjoyed kayaking on the lake. Swimming is available at the U.S. park down the road, but they won't stop you from swimming here.

We reserved a two bedroom cabin months in advance, and confirmed before arriving. We were given a one bedroom cabin with two small beds. Nobody cared, not even Jennifer Head, the Director of MS State Parks!! They apparently think that a two bed-room cabin means one bedroom with two small beds.

Nice state park and bathhouse, but all of the campsites are clearly designed for RVs. We had a nice spot reserved overlooking the water, but no where to put the tent unless we either wanted to sleep on the asphalt of the parking strip or on a narrow edge of a steep drop off.

This is a very nice State Park to visit. I checked in after hours and had no problems finding a site. The shower house is nice and well kept, the park is full of deer as seen in the pictures, and the camp sites are nice using a tent or travel trailer. I have both and love both. I would stop and stay longer if planning a trip to the lake. This was just an over night, my alternative to a hotel.

Our family reunions is held there every two years and we always have a great time there even though the water was high because of the flooding it was still a great time only problem was the issue with the reservations of the dining hall or Pavilion whatever its called we had some issues there but otherwise all around a good time every year
