It's totally worth the climb down.

William Taylor

It's actually in the middle of nowhere , it does have a small waterfall flowing beside a old Mill. All of the wooden floors are old, cracked and scary to walk on Looks like it needs a lot of repair. Not much else to see. Don't really think it's worth the admission price.

Sandra Garthus

The water wheel hasn't worked in 5 years

I have been coming here since I was 5. It has gone downhill a lot. It is still nice to walk down the stairs to the Chunky River and see the waterfall, only if it has been raining otherwise hardly a waterfall and river is too low and rocky to swim. Just be safe and don't put your life on the line.

Beth Salter

Extremely disappointing! I can't believe they charged admission. Don't waste your time or money. And don't risk your safety.

Tammy Ingram

A nice place to swim.

Cody Lyle

Gorgeous waterfall with an old historical mill here at the top. Loved it here.

Connie FRAZIER

Very nice place

We stayed in the cabin and it was beautiful. The manager or who watches it was nice as ever. She always asked us if there is anything we needed and helped us find last mintue kayaks down the river. We will definitely come back one day! I don't know why people disagree. It was nice to get away.

Mendy Starnes

It was gem for that area of Mississippi, the staff was nice and the walk down stairs was worth doing!!!

Robert Gravois

Enjoyed our visit we love waterfalls

brittney stewart

I absolutely loved this place we stayed in the cabin which was perfect and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. The water fall was beautiful and we will most definitely be back.

Driving through we discovered this very unique and off the beaten path destination. A few miles off the interstate you arrive to what looks unassuming and desolate. We were greeted by an employee that was very friendly and she explained it’d be three dollars and a quarter for each to enter, thought it was a little funny about the quarter but I guess it all adds up. At first we thought this was going to be a 10 minute look around but we were pleasantly surprised there was much more. From the mill to the waterfalls to the surrounding walking paths there’s plenty to venture for a few hours. I’d recommend stopping by if you’re in the area for a quick visit.

Danielle Rudd

Beautiful place!! Nice hiking spot!

Robbin Steen

Mario Hernandez

Great memories here. It is a unique experience to climb up the falls. Easier than they make it sound but maybe not for grandma or anyone who can be seriously injured by a small fall. Great experience

PAULA BEALER

This is a great place to get away for a day, take a long walk, and have a picnic.

Leahcim Sunkuy

Peaceful, quiet, you can explore on your own, better swimming up river slightly where the boy scouts camp $3.75 entry price is not bad either

Jonathan Greer

We had a blast. Great shady hiking trails. We like to hammock in our Eno hammocks and there were plenty of places on the river to hang. The waterfall is beautiful and fun. There are trails for the adventurous to climb up to the upper levels of the falls.

Jesse Davis

Great place to go wash your feet, not a place to swim.

Susan Cole

Megan Dloniak

It's a cool place to visit for an hour and then have a picnic, but there isn't much to do. Admission for people over 12 is $3.25 and under 12 is $2.25. I definitely think it's worth the price to check it out.

devin herrin

Cool little place. Spent an hour or so while passing through.

Adam Koster

A nice pit stop and a walk down to the falls. Shame it doesn't have a bit more information about the history of the area, the tools, or the animals in the area.

Larry Christy

Love this place easy access great picnicking hiking swimming and a great Falls and grist mill

1. Nothing to see 2. All run down 3. "Smoking ladies" in the office had no southern hospitality. Don't waste your time.

Annemarie Holland

Such a BEAUTIFUL, fun, place. Can't wait too go back

Admission is about $3 for adults. Nice waterfall with hiking trails. I wish the river was a bit clearer and they had kayak or bike rentals. The staff was friendly though. Would return in the future.

amber king

Definitely something you’ll want to spend a day checking out. Super neat learning the history behind the mill and seeing it first hand! Waterfall was not only beautiful but a great place to cool off and relax. The trails are super pretty and plenty of places to fish. Would definitely recommend bringing a picnic to enjoy while there. :)

D K

Pretty .

Debisree Ray

Good place for a day out

Jenni Chauvin

pretty place to visit, but honestly not worth the admission price. It's a man made waterfallish. Nothing spectacular. Cool building to walk through, eh. Nice little walking trail, can walk down to creek/ river. Great place for pics. But more of, ok... I've been here. Next. I doubt I'd take anyone here, but was neat to see.

Terry Day

The waterfall is just amazing and beautiful

Honestly Nate

Not a place to swim. Very disappointed. The sign says swim play grill. Swim if you ant your kids swept away down the chunky river, play if you can fix the swings that are all broken. Grill if you can dodge the fire ants. The sign is more of a challenge than an offer of things available

it looks nice and peaceful. but why arent there any rivers or waterparks close by were you can actually swim in and have fun without the water being dirty or low. it sucks. just a waterfall and a gated area. please not worth my time bad review. do not go.

Jody Keaghey

Wish there was more to do here....but we love this place! Drive 3 hours just to chill an hour and drive home!

Tony Garcia

Looking to do something off the beaten path?! This park might just be for you! It's a great location to go enjoy this historic mill and the beautiful flora and fauna that surrounds this beautiful location. Simply put, its peacefully isolated. It has an accessible mill house to explore the manner these mills were laid out. its built on a beautiful ledge next to the falls where you get to see the cascading waterfall empty into the Chunky River. You'll know your in the wild by simply listening to the sounds of birds and rustling trees above. The park some short nature trails that are long enough to wind through the woods where its home to birds of the region, including wild turkey, squirrels, and deer. You're more likely to run into these jittery critters here than the parks closer to the city because if it weren't for this mill, there would be nothing but nature and a beautiful clear river running through this area. You can swim, fish, and even canoe in this stretch of river. Up on the edge there's some picnic tables and grills for having a beautiful family outing. It is certainly quiet out here and for those that truly want to get away!

Dustin Ezell

Overall I loved it. The scenery is fantastic. A few years back I did however have an awkward experience where the park manager told me we were welcome to stay a long as we liked. (They closed in the early afternoon). One of the local kids next door came into the park after hours, and I suppose she alerted her grandmother that someone else was in *her* park, because one of the bitchiest old ladies I've ever had the displeasure of coming in contact with showed up and called the local authorities. I suppose the hours of operation applied to everyone but her people.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a water park. It's an old Gris Mill that is still standing and flows into the river. Since having the mill it created one of the prettiest waterfalls I've seen. Especially for Mississippi, actually it's pretty awesome to see a waterfall in Mississippi. There's really no where to swim I guess if you wanna swim in the river you can, but that being said it's really awesome that you can climb up the Waterfall giving you a very unique experience. Also I if I can get into a Waterfall you best bet that I'm gonna get in one. We drove from Mobile, Alabama to see this and it was definitely worth it. Also has some hiking trails which will be fun next time we come. Truly a unique experience.

What a joke. No fishing, no swimming, no saddlebags. The website is entirely misleading regarding the activities that are available. It probably has not been updated in years. My wife and I were totally disappointed with the experience. The person who took our funds did not seem to care about our visit. Do not waste your money or your time with this "landmark".

JoHanna Ellerbe

The falls were beautiful. We got to see quite a few crawfish under the falls. Well worth it. Park was very clean and the lady at the front was so sweet and informative about the falls

KASANDRA REYNOLDS

Spent time with my family here before it became a public place. It is beautiful. A pleasure to visit. Well worth the time to drive for a visit.

Elizabeth Fitzgerald

Apart of our history you must see. Yes needs improvements, our history needs to be preserved. Take time to visit, you will love the beauty and history. Staff is wonderful they go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

harley Brownlee

Great place I love going there during the summer and camping there with my family this is a need to see place very beautiful

Faye Pate

We had a great time, it was very beautiful. River is all rocks so make sure to bring water shoes!

(Translated by Google) Shameful. 13 dollars to see a small waterfall. Of the flight. Not even the semblance of a visit (Original) Honteux. 13 dollars pour voir une petite cascade. Du vol. Même pas le semblant d une visite

The waterfall area is great! There are plenty of trails to explore for the adventurous as well as a large open area at the main landing of the waterfall that we felt comfortable with our 3 yo exploring.
