The grounds were clean but the Ranger and the guy that helps her were not very knowledgeable or very helpful. We just needed a spot to pitch a tent in a primitive camping area but they didn't seem to understand that. They kept offering a paved parking space for an RV with running water and electricity. Once we got camp set up in the area they told us was designed for tent camping they came and told us that we could not park at our campsite and that we would have to park way out on the road by the pavilion. I have never heard of not being able to park at your campsite. My husband talked them into letting us keep our trucks at our site which was good since I was getting upset about having to park my truck were there was going to be A LOT of traffic. That's another thing! The pavilion we were fairly close-ish to was rented out for a large gathering (we were told 50 people or more) the next day but they didn't think that was an important thing for us to know BEFORE we set up camp. The next day we had to listen to LOUD music and LOUD people from 11AM to 6PM. The bugs were terrible! And they didn't tell us there was a shower house with hot water across the way until it was almost time for us to leave! Ice cold showers are not fun or enjoyable. From here on out we're driving to Soso to camp at Big Creek (Big 10)!!

We love this place if you want a clean and quiet peaceful place this is your place it has great walking trails beautiful views and the staff are so helpful and nice they make you feel at home and with just two of them keeping everything nice and clean it is amazing how clean and well kept this place is we have found our new home away from home place love it so much the lake is great to .I wanted to add to my post omg the park ranger mrs.mary is the hardest working person she is not only running the office she is out cleaning and picking up she works harder than anyone I have seen at a campground to make she everything is well kept and safe and clean for her campers .this lady was a life saver for us we lost our little puppy on july 4th at the best fireworks show ever and Mrs. Mary and half of the campers helped us find her. this campground has the best campers around and Mrs. Mary bless her heart worked so hard to make the 4th of july fireworks show so family friendly no one was arguing no drinking this was the most family friendly event I have ever been to if you want a family friendly place and a nice and clean place to camp you need to come here you will be so pleased with Mrs. Mary and this park I can't wait for next 4th of July we had a blast already making sure we have a spot for Thanksgiving. I wish we could be here every week end .Thank you Mrs. Mary for giving us a place so nice and clean to come to and enjoy our down time .

We had a great stay. The facilities show how much work the couple that runs the park have put into it. They were truly outstanding people. We had starter trouble on our RV and Terry helped get us going and saved my children's vacation. we will definitely be back.

The new management out at this campground is drastically improving it. This was a great place to stay with clean bathhouses, well maintained vegetation, and quiet people. Camp sites are spread out nicely and not on top of each other. The lake is calm and has a great pavilion. The sand volleyball pit and the beach that are in construction will be great additions to a beautiful campground. Five stars!

It is a,beautiful park but the park ranger almost hit me while I was walking because she was driving to fast. I also almost got bit by a dog of one of the campers because it wasn't on a leash.

We love this place. Quiet and restful, you can spend your time fishing, swimming, watching wild life, or picnicing and camping. Our stay there is never long enougj.

I almost don't want to right a review for this place, because I want to keep it as a secret for myself. I've camped here twice over the last couple of years and it's by far one of my favorite campsites in Mississippi. It's never over crowded and the beach area and is nice for laying out. Plus it's super clean. Although, the reason why I love this campground the best is because of the hospitality of the Rangers and staff! Ranger Terry and Judy are by far the epitome of southern hospitality.

Donald Wells

Very clean, and well taken care of.

Nice campground - under new management. The bathhouse was clean and in good repair, lots of open grass areas that were recently mowed. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. There is a lake there and we saw people fishing in it. When we stayed there there were no pull throughs, but they said they are working on constructing some. Cell phone reception is spotty, depending on your carrier and which spot you are camped in. Bring cash or check because they don't take credit cards at this time. We would camp there again.
