Very simple place, mosquitos about carried us off here though while swimming. Saw few snakes while swimming and the water is super cold !! But you can rent kayaks too, they bring them to the boat ramp and you can enjoy the water.

Canoes and kayaks are great. The first 3 hours of the river was shaded and had a mild current. Hours 4-6 had more direct sunlight and areas with little to no current. Also sells live bait and minor fishing tackle.

Nice swimming area, but the areas under the pavilions need to be thoroughly cleaned, especially when you're paying the $30 just to use it for a little bit.

Adorable Park! Lots of Christmas decorations up and lots of green space and ponds. We just overnighted. Casual and friendly staff. There is a train track close but we just heard it once or twice otherwise quite and very peaceful. Will stop by again when traveling this way!!

Love going to D'Lo to swim in the river. The area is beautiful and clean, has picnic tables over looking the water, and entrance is free. Have brought many friends and family there to share a day in the water.

I see a lot about the tree's and trash, well 1st they can't help what Mother Nature does with having tree's falling in the water, and such. 2nd... the trash and debris is not the fault if the park management and personal, as they do not, I'm sure, tell people to throw that in the water. In fact, I know, they offer bags to each kayaker , canoer, tuber, etc.. to throw their trash in,so that when they meet you at the pick up point, it can be discarded in to the proper waste bins. If each person would care enough to do their part, to help keep it clean, by not being trashy not caring and just stop tossing trash beer cans bottles etc over the sides of the watercraft, and take a moment to clean up after themselves when they have stopped at the sand bars, this would help a lot with the debris in the water. I've been down the river, it is a beautiful and peaceful trip. It was so wonderful! The staff are all so nice and helpful. I was told they do have a cleaning crew that goes in once a month to do cleaning, and someone, in their spare time, does volunteer to go in cut the trees and clean them up. One person can't do it alone, so if you go to the park and take a trip, just relax and enjoy yourself. Stop and picnic, go fishing, just have a good time.

Love this place because of its history. This is where a portion of O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU was filmed. The portion of the movie where George Clooney and Delmar wake up on the riverbank and the 3 women are there doing their laundry singing GO TO SLEEP LITTLE BABY was shot there on the river rocks.

This is a nice place to visit for a little while. Dogs are allowed but are required to be on a short leash. There is a place for campers and there are cabins for rent. The Strong River is a nice place to wade or swim. This river was named by the indians for the strong taste of the water, the current is gentle. Canoes are available here.

The river trip was a rip off. Lots of trees, rocks and other debris making much of their recommended 3 hour float more like 5 and then the pick up took over an hour plus the dumb lady dragged my daughter behind the van. Never even had the courtesy to get out and apologize

Great place to relax. Took our cub scouts here to camp. Beautiful river to look at. Same river in the movie O brother were art thow. You can set up camp here with hammocks and watch the river. You can fish or play frisbee golf. They have a bait and tackle shop. Play ground for the kids. Pavilions you can rent. Full bathrooms and showers. You can go kayaking. Lots of great activities for the family.

Much better than expected. Price is right. Water park is actually a creek. Park had decent amenities and grounds were maintained. Natural scenery is beautiful. 4th of July weekend crowd was well behaved. Fun experience and venue, would go back and recommend to others.

This is a great campground to go to. I really loved it here. This place was well kept up and well secured. I didn’t see no trash or criminal activity involved here. I loved the river and the overall beauty of this place. I recommend coming here in late July or early August. That is when the water and weather is not to hot nor cold. The prices are pretty good if your just camping out. You can also canoe here as well but I would advise asking a staff member first.

So We went tubing and it was horrible it was slow as all get out. So less than half way we got Agravated and started swimming. There were lots and lots of trees in te water which was not fun. At first the lady told us it was 5 to 7 hours long it ended up being like 8 and a half hours long. Let's just say tht when we were done tuning we were so ready to be home

Nice staff and a great experience. Was on the water for about 4 hours. Reasonable prices and quick pick up. Would recommend if you like hitting the water. Check the water level first. It was a little low when I went so somewhat frustrating. Beautiful scenery but some trash here or there.

I loved it. I went there for "spring break" vacations and i loved it. I'll be coming to this place sometime in the future. The scenery is outstanding from the entrance leading to the strong river path.

Terrible experience! Went canoeing the river only to find trash and broken glass. People have really destroyed this beautiful place. Once we reached the pickup area it was almost impossible to get out. The river is full of rebar, and a large mud slide have to climb up. Would not recommend to anyone except a clean-up crew.
