REVIEWS OF Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest IN Minnesota

Rick Clarizio

Lots of scenery and things to see

Yvonne Price

Breathtakingly beautiful natural setting. So many thinks to see and do to reconnect with Mother Nature. Hiking, abundant wildlife to see, numerous lakes, camping.

Brittany Milanowski

I just love the woods.

rich sigmund

Great place to take the family for a scenic drive.

Joshua Scribner

Wish we had more land like this!

David George

The federal government has done a horrible job of managing this wonderful resource. Timber is way too mature. Hopefully Mother Nature will do a better job of thinning our forest!

Steve Musser

A beautiful place

Fuzz 12/17/16

Beautiful... great fishing... friendly people....

henry bauer

Beautiful! In 3 days there we saw eagles, deer, beavers, turkeys, loose women, grouse and osprey. There are tons of ATV trails and lakes everywhere. The foliage in October is worth the trip.

Mike Schultz

I came to see the forest, but all the trees were in the way.

Lana Froemming

Great place to escape too anytime of the year but especially in the spring & fall. Tip: there is no wifi in the forest and expect gravel roads.

Rita Sullivan

Great trails! Very buggy right now. Don't start the trail without lots of applied bug spray. May need to re-apply.

Robin Netzel

Great place to get away.

Jazz InTheGarden

Went to rainbow gathering ♥️ beautiful forest and wonderful people!

Holly Lundquist

loni sheldon

Trails were pretty good, one more good snow fall and trails will be much smoother. Can't wait to go again! We saw deer and a pileated woodpecker on our 32 miles of snowmobiling!

Derrick Koehn

I threw a hammer at a mosquito but it threw it back.

John Vanden Heuvel

I only saw a small piece of it. Went on a hike with some friends. The trail we went on was unimproved but mostly cleared. We had to climb over a few trees and around others but we were kind of expecting that. The trails are very well marked. We had a very nice time. It is a beautiful place.

Wood Guy

Wild - like I like it.

April Anderson

I've been coming here every year for the pass 43 years. It is a great family place. Good fishing.

Randy Raprager

The scenery is exceptional

Greg Hinze

Great time lots of bugs though

Dan Bolton

Snowmobile trails were in Good to Better condition, but could use a bit more snow in places.

Derek Bickford

Lots of opportunities for recreation swimming kayaking biking mountain biking trail riding hiking hunting if you're into that and lots of camping opportunities. No sights in a national forest have anything but rustic facilities. That means pit toilets and hand pump for water self service camping fees and park pass.

Justin Harrer

Great scenery. Easy hikes.

John Manno

Too many rich people's huge summer houses, not enough hiking trails.

Gary Weber

Nice campsite, quiet, plenty of room between sites. Access to lake. No particular pest roaming the area. All round good place to camp.

ARLYN POSEKANY

I live near the Forest and have to drive through parts of it from point A to point B. There seems to be a lot of tourists that enjoy it if they live in a big old city. There's lots of trees and lakes and wild animals, especially deer that chew our flower beds down to nothing. Experts have determined that there are more deer in the US than there were in the time of Columbus. Please grab your gun and head north during deer season.

Rob Cook

If your a mountain biker you need to get here, some of the best trails in the Midwest.

Joe Olson

This is home drive this beautiful road all the time it's even prettier now with colors

Brian Adamski

David Binette

Green, beautiful, CAMBAS bike trails, forest ecology, love it, pack out your trash.

Kelly Jones

The best well maintained and groomed roads in all the lands. The hunting sucks worse than an underpowered vacuum. But them perfectly landscaped roads are a sight unseen. I'm currently trying to shoot all the birds that are stealing the gravel.

beast boy

Love the out doors in fall i love seen the Leaves change color it's one amazing thing along with this Albino deer

Liv3 Kind

We visited the Great Divide western section this time. Close to CAMBA bike trails, ear enough to drive in for ice as needed. Trails were awesome!! Beautiful area. Stayed at Beaver Lake to stay a bit farther out than the masses. Both nights we had loud trucks come tearing through the loud campsite after midnight but other than that it was very quiet. Absolutely planning a return trip!

Nathan Schutte

so peaceful

Ann Hartmànn

Beautiful, but the snowmobile trails up by Drummond area are awful! Don't believe they are being groomed.

David Carr

Matt Sonnentag

Great 4 wheelin

The roads, scenery, logging scenes and beautiful trees make this worth the trip. Camp at Birch Grove campground with reservations and end up north near an abandoned fire tower and the Lakeshore.

Anne Marie Dando

Pure beauty... God's work?!

Jim Blomberg

Holy cross trails north of Phillips wi. Great trails but for some reason haven't been maintained this year. Trail markers down all over

Beth Johnson

We went snow shoeing on the hiking club trail. Good signage, and far enough from the highway that all we could hear was the wind high up in the trees. Great time!

Tracy Andrewson

Beautiful rustic campgrounds

Larry Sawallish

This place defines the word wilderness.

Ken Weigand

I rode two days about 100 miles and noticed the trail maintenance has increased alot. It is refreshing to see the resource being taken care of . Ive ridden the hatfield Mcoy system twice and they seem more friendly to offroading out there. I love the Wisconsin terrain tho.

Tim Davison

What a good place to go. ENJOYED

Larry Heschke

Had a great time bear hunting

Shaun Kaiser

It was so quiet and peaceful at Two Lakes campground. Our site was right on the water for a beautiful morning sunrise. We went fishing in Bass lake right there and you can catch any size fish in that lake for any age range. My kids enjoyed catching the small blue gills and sunfish as I reeled in some nice size Bass.

Derek Dreke

ant fields

Very scenic and a great place to find peace and tranquility. An awesome and fun fishing spot with plentiful bass at Canthook Lake. Made lots of new friends and repaired part of my soul.

Bruce J

The forest is great. USFS needs to maintain the road system better and have better open communication with the townships that assist USFS with the maintenance.

Andrew Fox

I biked through the forest north of Ino on route 236. It was gorgeous! Additionally route 236 is fully paved and very smooth for biking. My wife and I have also visited the Moquah barrens late at night to watch a meteor shower. It was amazing! So many more stars can be seen out there than can be seen in the nearby cities/towns.

Gilbert Daniel

The great north woods of Wisconsin

Holly Henney

We never got any drinks. The food is good but the service usually is not! They need more employees.

Joe Lipinski

Best dispersed camping in Northern Wisconsin!!

Michel leana

So accidently ran into this State Park there was a rainbow gathering the people were nice and it's a good park to go for a hike, don't forget bug spray and always check for ticks before you get back into your car. It is kind of hidden but if you live the outdoors you must explore this park
