We enjoyed Mackinac Island very much. I recommend taking a carriage tour of the island. The drivers are so personable and have lots of interesting information to share. Be sure to try some of the fudge and ice cream while you are there. Bring your credit cards though. There are many, many interesting shops on the island and the prices are about what you would expect at a tourist destination.

You have to keep in mind that this is a state park and there is an additional fee upon arriving to the island. You can do a combination Ferry and State Park ticket which would save you money. It is well worth the value

Perfect for family vacations and quality time. I recommend taking a tour so you can get the history behind the Island. It's the nations first national park and most don't experience it.

We had a great time on the Mackinaw Island. Their are so many things to see and do when you are there. Workers were all very helpful and friendly. I recommend it to everyone. It's a must see place.

This has been on my bucket list for years. Somewhat touristy, no.... very touristy but if you can visit it you must, it is quite the experience. I found out later there are many Airbnb options on the island and St. Ignace which makes a whole lot more sense if you are visiting the UP as well as Mackinac.

Unfortunately, only spent one night there, but the beautiful view of the lake and the Mackinac Bridge from the waterside sites was enough to make us want to return. It is also in close proximity of the ferry service to Mackinac Island and offers shuttle service to the ferry.

Absolutely worth the trip! 3 hitch team through the park and then the 2 hitch team dropped us off at the Grand Hotel for the Grand Luncheon Buffet! Gorgeous views and friendly and knowledgeable staff everywhere we went. Would highly recommend this for anyone to visit!

A great place to visit, but be prepared for crowds in the summer. Bring a bike for some beautiful views around the island. Carriage tour is very informative.

A beautiful island located in Lake Huron. It has motorless highway. Lots of beautiful historical sites. Accessible by foot, bikes and horses. We took a sightseeing carriage which brought us to historical locations, and breathtaking views and beautiful rock formations. Don't forget to buy their different flavored yummy fudge to take home with you.

Beautiful sights on a lovely island. The picture perfect view however has a hard time being appreciated over the smell. Don't get me wrong I love horses but in August in 90 degree heat and no rain in weeks it was overwhelming and permeated everywhere inside and out.

What a great way to spend the day. Do yourself a favor, rent a bike and take a lap around the island. I also recommend walking to the arch before your bike ride so your don't have to worry about your bike.

Gorgeous scenery! Walk, ride a bike. You can even take a horse drawn carriage. Rent a horse by the hour and tour the park in groups or by yourself. You will definitely visit again! Great for family outings!

I asked my wife to marry me on the island 12 years ago and we did not have time to explore much. This time we wanted to walk around with our dogs and see more of the sites. We really enjoyed walking the island and enjoyed the beautiful views. I highly recommend either walking, renting a bike or even some horses and exploring the state park. Well worth the time.
