Here you will see the reviews of real people who are buying the products of Winter Island/Waikiki Beach (Park) in Massachusetts.
To this day this firm receives a score of 4.6 stars out of 5 and the score has been based on 463 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings that it reaches is almost the top, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the evaluation is very reliable. If people have bothered to give their score when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to give reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Park is included in the category of Park.
This has been an awesome experience. If you love history and the ocean this is your spot. Don’t expect a traditional camping experience with lots of privacy but do expect a once in a lifetime experience. We are so happy we did this trip. We had site 13 at ocean front and it’s been an an amazing 5 days. So close to everything. The ferry to Boston was worth every penny and so close. Enjoy!
The natural beauty of this park takes your breath away. I sat by the lighthouse and watched the tide come in. It's a wonderful place to test out your photography skills. Just stunning!!!
We love the boat ramp here. The park is very nice too... Good for large gatherings, family picnics, etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
I never knew this place existed! This is a hit with the locals. There is lots of waterfront area for campers and tents as well as day trips. We saw tons of picnics and families set up to spend the day. Fort Pickering is also located here. It is a bit hidden and overgrown but you will find a few informational signs about its history.
Beatiful
Awesome
This is my happy place! Words cant really explain this place, its simply a must visit!!
Great place. To visit
Pre-season at Winter Island! Beauty abounds amidst the preparations for opening.
It was just fun
Best on the water campsites in Massachusetts! Tour trolleys loop through the campground and into downtown Salem all day long.
Can get crowded but a clean awesome beach
Rv park is what it is, a public park. Great location in Salem. Parked the motorhome outside the power plant and walked.
Great function hall enough room for 50 people inside and another 20 outside. Great views of the ocean and plenty of parking. There's a playground for the kids 5 minute walk up the grass
Beach, Rocks, bathroom, $10/car
A beautiful place for a picnic or party! I've gone back here every year with friends for the lively but relaxing atmosphere.
Lots of nooks and cranny's in different directions. A few beach(y) areas. Navy bunker. Lighthouse. Next to Salem Willows. Campers and tents for reasonable prices. $10 non resident.
Quiet and Clean, great place to relax, get some Sun
Absolutely gorgeous beautiful synonyms absolutely clean
Nice place
Beautiful relaxing and perfect for a full beach day!
Peaceful. Historic. I won't reveal the location, so, Ssshhhhh...
This place speaks for itself
Always a fun time! I enjoy camping at Winter island because the scenery is the best!
Hidden gem
Camping at one of the first ever naval bases in the country, boat launch, concessions , and one of the best places on the North shore for fireworks, great place!!! Close to the Salem willows!!! Winning¡!!!!!!!
Nice place to hang out and enjoy nature
Good beach, camping, and boating facilities. Not ever overcrowded.
I love this place a hidden gem so clean and relaxing
A great place to relax and unwind. =)
Nice scenic view. Place to stop relax and watch and smell the sea.
By far the best place to stay in Salem, especially if you're traveling on a tight budget.
A great time clean too beautiful ocean site for all relaxing and party needs
It is not a great beach. May be good for campers. But not for people visiting for a few hours. Has a small stretch of sand beach and a kids play area and lot of picnic tables. Parking was steep at $15.
It is a very nice place for keeping a boat and has a fair price too.
Really pretty beach with adjoining campground sites. We came around sunset, so it was free to come in. Equipped with showers, pretty views.
Great place to put your boat in take kayak out. Or camp motor home parking to or enjoy Sandy Beach I found it to be very nice .public bathroom and charged by vehicle.
Go there for the scenery
Rock hunters dream
Great little cove looking towards Salem Sound.
Nice, small beach. Little Rocky, so make sure your littles wear water shoes. I did find some broken glass the other day, so keep your eyes open.
Camping in RV here. No sewer hook-ups, water and electric. Has a beach area and picnic tables. Has one building with bathroom and shower. Two stalls for showers and toliets in women side for the whole park. Had a party on the pavilion today and we had a line for the bathroom 5 deep when I was there. Park should have separate bathroom facilities for campers. Was here on the weekend and had to wait till after 11 pm to take shower.
.nice and quiet over there good place to go and relax in the summertime hey sit down on you beach chair maybe you can take a dip
Great trails to walk on. Great beach for family's and they have camping
Loved this little hidden spot just outside the Salem Willows.. Hard to comment on the cleanliness because we went off peak season just after the snow thawed.. Looked like they've got a bathroom building that would be very convenient
Great place to dip your toes in the ocean.
Scenery, ocean are something to appreciate. Love this place forever. Will not go anywhere else.
Soooooo nice . Friendly staff . Very clean beach . One of the nicest beaches in the area .
We love Winter Island any time of year!! Taking advantage of a 50° day in January for a family bbq!
Great spot
So many crabs at low tide! There's also some great places above the beach for hammocks; 10/10, would spend Independence Day there again.
Beautiful views! Took the trolley tour of Salem. Loved it!
Because I enjoyed a lot
We love it here!
Been coming here for about 8 yrs. Nice playground, tenting areas, RV parking, boat ramp nice beach a 10 minute walk to Salem Willows Amusement Park. Great place to go camping. On the Trolley route to downtown Salem. Dont miss visiting here.
Nice place to take very quick hike.
The view here was absolutely gorgeous! There is old military ammunition bunkers located at the end of the park which make for gorgeous views and great walking trails!
Wonderful hidden gem. Crsip ocean
This is a very pretty park. It has a large pavillion and play ground for small children. Found a bit of dog poop around, which was unfortunate. Lots of lovely flora.
So much fun for kids and adults. Here for drive in movie. Great experience for whole family!!!
Small but great public beach with fantastic views!
We spent a few hours here during low tide and had fun looking at all the crabs and wildlife in the tide pools. Cute park - great for an afternoon picnic.
It feels like an island camping trip without a boat ride.
Beautiful spot with a lot of history, and plaques to tell the story. There are also bunkers left behind from the days of war, and you can feel the silent tension radiating from them.
Serene plot on the edge of winter Island. Nice to listen to the water hitting the
Small but beautiful beach.
Great place to bring kids. There's places to barbeque and swim. It's also a nice spot to have a picnic with the view of the ocean and lighthouse.
Great RV spot!
This is the best place around
It's like a hidden treasure in a great New England city.
Very beautiful
Coming from Michigan where our beaches are kept very highly during the season, it was a tad disappointing seeing the conditions here. Nothing to extraordinary about the location.
Very cool place to visit
Awesome private beach and a great place to go camping
So much to see and appreciate in a relatively small area. A great place to get a feel for the ocean without fighting traffic out to the beaches.
The sunrise from here is beautiful. You can either drive up and park, but I chose to run and it was a nice trail. The entire area has beautiful sunrises but this was my favorite and it seemed like there were a lot of people parking nearby.
Small beach, but nice at high tide. Very shallow and rocky at low tide. Beautiful views. Bring watershoes- lots of shells/rocks. Ruins of old fort interesting. A cool and very local place.
The beach is great for kids, wide and rocky. Interesting hiking paths that show off the natural and historical (old fort) splendor. Large, unique playground. Nice bathrooms, with spray shower and water available. I've never camped here, but it looks great. Parking is $15 in summer, which might last longer than you might think.
Great views cool camping grounds, exclusive
Basic lots, not very private, but the rest of winter island makes up for it, beautiful views and friendly staff.
The view is beautiful. The vegetation around is over grown and needs attention.Nice place for picnics.
Very scenic and peaceful spot!
Very friendly staff. It has the basics. Waterfront camping is a parking lot but there's plenty of camping spaces in the back on the grass. Beautiful beach and paths to walk.
Great park was at the hall for a party and had a great time
Be adventerous climb the rocks.
It’s very pretty & my kids loved it
Very nice campground, the staff was helpful and very nice. It has a nice view on the sea and for a fair rate it is fairly close to the city Would go back again
Amazing place to stay with an amazing view if the ocean. Gorgeous sun rise and sunsets.
This place could be much better than it is. The place is great but the City of Salem should invest to improve it a bit.
Grew up here... relatively quiet. Depends on amount of campers or summer camp field trips.
Nice area. Lighthouse was smaller than expected, but a good setup. Decent area to relax, camping nearby was surprising but good to know.
Great for kids
Very cool place to visit!
A lot of fun. Not too busy, really nice.
A rocky beach that is very interesting in itself. Filled with a lot of American history. You might be disappointed if you come here expecting a fresh Sandy Beach.
Clean, friendly. Helpful staff, walk to attractions in Salem.
Awesome afternoon, we have not seen any place at the Upper east Coast shoreline before. Loved the rocks, the lighthouse and all those boats out there. Great seafood shack with benches to sit outside, th kids climbed in a huge old tree, and the homemade ice cream was one of a kind. Despite coming on a Sunday we did not feel the peninsula was overcrowded! You can spend hours here, taking pictures, climbing rocks and just relaxing and keep your eyes out to the horizon above the dark blue sea.
It's a beautiful view but like most things, better from the water!
A wonderful and beautiful place is amazing because i can relax.
Lovely view, quiet, nice little beach. The spots close to the water are in a parking lot. Water and electric only, WiFi is good. They also have a nice Green space for camping too and the gate locks at night. There is very old public bathrooms, nothing fancy, no hooks to hang a towel or bathroom bag. Chilly as you get into the fall. A tour bus drives thru here often with tourists, and the park is busy with locals. At night it is dark. Very little lighting in the parking area.
It's nice going there. Perfect little place to walk around
A great place to camp walking trails history along the trail boating great place
Its clean and there is a lot to do over there.
If you're in Salem you need to stop by winter Island a great location for camping RV and of course enjoying the beautiful area beaches and campsites parking can sometimes be limited by the time of year and events going on a great place to put your kayak in the water or your boat as they have a great ramp a Harbor Master does a great job the staff they're very attentive picnic tables grills bathrooms enjoy your stay pick up after yourself and remember to say thank you
It's a beautiful park. Not a lot to do and they charge you $10 just to park. Luckily they told us we can go really quick to check it out and not pay.
Great camping
My family has come here my whole life, it is our absolute favorite vacation spot. It is so relaxing camping so close to the ocean. It has wonderful views of the ocean everywhere, nice trails, beautiful beach and light house. My favorite is watching and the boats and ships in the ocean. We just can't get enough of this place (plus Salem of course).
Beautiful Views
Great beach. If your a resident, get your beach pass and hang out!
Lots to see and explore.
that's awesome it's a great feeling for me
Went here to pass the time until the Salem Witch Museum opened. It was the first time my kids got to experience the ocean, they loved watching the boats. Enjoyed the tide pools with crabs, snails, clams. Even though the water was cold we even waded in the water. It was beautiful and stunning! I wanted to see a lighthouse and my husband found this one, so very glad he did, we have an amazing memory from there!
I loved it! It was beautiful!
Beautiful area
These places are feel comfortable
Great local park. Nice ocean views, and some light hiking.
Awesome campground and park. Right on the water, beautiful.
See above!
Beautiful view. Going to go back when the weather is warmer.
Not at all like the real Waikiki
Great for camping by the ocean. Nice place to take your family.
Probably one of the best spots to hang out in the North shore, highly recommend
Local campground.RV and tent setup some sites have power others do not .great front office.nice Playground for the kids ,offers grill on site ,clean beach excellent for collecting shells,24hr shower & bathroom.pets welcome on leash.local wildlife racoons and skunks so food goes back in car at night. Must bring in your own firewood and no ground fires permitted. Might see a wedding or two.had a wonderful time with a great group of people
Cool place to check out, not too crowded, interesting to learn about, great place for a picnic
Wonderful
I loved this place because you could do so much there was a camp sight and at the camp sight there was a playground!
Nice park
Finally a beach day. Small beach. Feels almost private. Facilities available. Even showers.
Beautiful Beaches and The Salem Lighthouse clean restroom great views from Fort Lee harbor walk and a fun camp out spot as well.
Great campground really close to the beach, only downside: the tent sites are right next to the road that leads to the boat ramp so lots of traffic.
A nice Sandy Beach on one side and just across the peninsula a small gravel and rock beach. Easy access, great views. A restroom with showers and changing area. Seems like a popular area. There is a $15 parking charge. More if you a launching a boat.
Great views and beach, very open camp ground.
Great view, expensive to park for a short time.
Camping super close to downtown Salem. Would have been 5 star but there is no dump station here and the one they send you to is horrible! The receptacle is so far off the ground you can only get part of your tank emptied. The power also went out for 2 days while I was here, but I will give them a break on that since the winds were crazy!
Nice little beach. Not very busy with people.
Beautiful views from the top of the island great place to have a picnic relax with the family play with the kids and walk the trails
Lots of fun, beautiful views
Beautiful beach nice and quiet
Relaxing and beautiful
Fantastic views of the harbor and a really nice place to watch the sunrise.
Pretty park and quiet.
Great old 1600 hill fort.
Very enjoyable, uncrowded, camp, Rv-ing options. Small beach on site, with bathrooms near by, large park to walk about, water access and views. Would definetaly park my RV here and drop my boat in for the weekend. But also great just for site seeing and a stroll or a beach day!
The place is different from 20yrs ago. However we enjoyed ourselves, exactly the way we wanted too.
Small but pleasant. Bathrooms. Quiet during week. Can get crowded with the visitor camping. Need a sticker or pay to park
Beautiful beach
A sad park with great potential. The state has a poorly run point that is very scenic. The buildings that are neglected, are just that. There is so much that could be done with this location. Just need some of this...$$$ There is a camp ground here and it's quite expensive to just investigate the park without planning to sit on the beach. It was $10 during the week/ 15 on weekends. Plan to bring lunch and it's a great place to bring kids who want to explore the old ammunition bunkers
Great place to visit but during summer get ready to pay to get in and its even more expensive when you are not from town. Great views around the Salem Harbor.
Such a beautiful place and so clean! Got to live by the dock life and get a good look at some neat boats! It was so relaxing to sleep so close to the water. Day or night is so scenic and my dog and I explored the trails every morning and night! The beached area was the cherry on top. Had a great time exploring the island and getting to explore salem. It was also convenient access for us to enjoy boston but still come back to some electric hookups! 20 minute train ride and 15 minute bike ride to station. Very quiet, friendly place for us while we were on the road. The staff is super respectful and hardworking as well. They were so helpful with everything when we wanted to stay another night for Boston. I would definitely come back if I had the chance!
Great place to go for a walk. Weather was great. For a winter weather this was enough hike for me.
We had a great stay at Winter Island. Although it’s not a traditional style campground; more of a parking lot for RV’s with strategically placed tent sites in amongst the trees/shrubs. The only down side was that they charged us a $20 refundable deposit for a pass key to open the gate after 10pm. That wouldn’t have been a problem had the gate actually been closed between 10pm-8am. Unfortunately, the gate was never closed the 3 nights we were there, and cars entering and leaving between 11:30pm and 3:30 am. We found this a bit unnerving and disruptive to our sleep and sense of security.
Beautiful views
Such a beautiful place!!
Great for climbing rocks and photo ops
Positively the best! Don't miss this place!!
I love this place
Beautiful venue for a festival in Salem. Panoramic water view. Lots of parking. Nice park for the kids and a covered patio for functions.
Beautiful but you definitely need water shoes beach is rocky
