You know that we don't usually stop to place tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Park is included in the category of State park.
We have friends visiting from new Jersey and were touring around the seacoast. Saw some seals playing on the rocks it was a perfect day for the beach. Headed north to Rye and lunch at Ray's seafood. perfect day.
This is my new favorite beach. Mainly go to the cape for beaches but not anymore! Huge parking lots, beautiful white sand, NO rocks or seaweed at the water's edge. Warm water. Perfect surf for boogie boarding.
It's a state park. The people in nice there it's a family-oriented place so it's not real noisy Ian it's peaceful. and the water's clean and everything. Down the street and there are some nice restaurants that you can go to either the Hungry Traveler or you can go down to the boardwalk and get pizza and fried dough and hot dogs and all that kind of food. Where the Hungry Traveler is more of a old style restaurant with seafood and more healthy food like homemade meatloaf and like a old-school Diner but really really good food. And they have a bar if that's an interest to some people
Great price to camp. Only issue was new bathroom showers breaking down. Perfect location to launch boat or kayak, right at the mouth of the Merrimack River. Sunrises and sunsets!
Love this place! The water is great! No seaweed like other places we have been to.
Normally it's ultra crowded and people are sitting practically on top of each other, but the last time I went this wasn't the case. We parked in the last lot which is closer to the beach and seems to be less busy. We didn't have to wait in line as we have a pass from the library which made it free to enter the beach.the one thing that is a little hard to stomach is the bathrooms as it's some sort of environmental situation so that's a little gross.also it's surprising the lack of food available at the beach but as long as you know that ahead of time you can be prepared. It was a great day!
Great spot! Can't wait to come back. Bars closed early like before 11 but maybe because it's a Wednesday? Beach was clean and they had a band playing. Hope to come back soon!
Right on the ocean. This time of year it's quiet as the kiddos ste back in school
Camp site is clean and well maintenanced. Having water and electricity hook up is a plus. Not much trees at the site so setting up tarp sheet is a challenge. Would recommend a canopy tent or screen tent instead. Short walk (couple minutes) to beach no matter which site you stay and the sands are fine. Lots of waves if you like surfboarding. Shower house/restroom on X road is quiet new and clean but two out of five toilette stalls were out of order when I were there last week. Only two shower stalls at the X road shower house so expect long wait. Shower house near road A has more shower stalls but sites nearby don't have as good scenery.
There was trash in our camp sight from the people befor us. The cooking grill had a hole in it,other than that it is a good place.
Clean, great for walking the beach, and bike riding. Close to town. Unfortunately this year the closed down most of the campground early, so very hard to get a spot.
Memorial Day weekend - they were not ready. The grill at my site was unusable due to a large hole in the bottom I asked for a replacement as I couldn't cook and it was replaced with a rusty one I still couldn't cook on The sites were not weed whacked. The bathrooms close to me had 3 toilets out of order, both family bathrooms out of order and a sink out of order Power was out for quite a while- not their fault but it was not handled well. Bathrooms near me totally closed Doors locked with no signs posted Many unhappy campers on Holiday weekend
Clean, family oriented beach. Outdoor showers and a small concession stand in one of the lots. Lifeguards.
Fireworks and live bands every Saturday night all summer. Restaurants, fried dough at Ozzie's, arcades, bars - Lots of fun
Need more public bathroom locations and closer to the beach.
It was awesome as usual the place was clean and well kept. The people were nice and the beach pizza was delicious!
Nice clean beach and parking if you get here before 10 am. Otherwise could be full. Can walk from one end of beach onto 3 different jettis and to the mouth of river. Great fishing in rivers side with beaches that are very quiet. Downside is $14 for parking should be a way to pay by the hour.
Been going here for 30 years, Host campers need to know how to clean bathrooms Wiping down toilets with just water is not good enough and driving down bike path in the middle of the campground like they own the place. They should fallow rules like everyone else. Also would be nice if there was sewer on the sites. Despite all of my little complaints it's a great place to go to with the family.
My favorite place to go . Just watch the sea gulls they steal you're food. Ya open chip bag and don't put in cooler when u go swimming ya come back to no chips and there droppings on you're blanket. Ya can't make this up it happens all the time. Watch out the renovation of the birds. Just saying. But I do love them guess they need to eat tooooo!
We were told my locals to avoid Hampton Beach and go here, the water was nice and it wasn't too busy. I'll be back for sure, avoid the $30-$50 parking lots by going close the pier, it's $6 for 2-3 hours and then you can always add time.
Made reservations and check in was simple. Over charge for guests visiting $14.00. And up to 4 dogs allowed per site. Outrageous since 1 to 2 dogs seems the norm at many campgrounds.
I've been going to Salisbury since I was a baby, I love it. Pizza and ice cream stands, nice restaurants as well, little shops, live music on Fridays too the sand and beach is great...
Selling point of this beach is they have a small area near the campground that allows dogs on the beach year round. That area of beach could use a little clean up. The main reservation beach area is well kept. Although the campsites are very close together the beach is very close so it makes it worth it. They have pay showers and flush toilets and a small camp store.
WHAT A PLACE CLEAN AS CAN BE.MY WHOLE FAMILY HAD A BALL. ON ONE SIDE U HAVE A BEAUTIFUL BEACH ON ANOTHER SIDE UR ON A BEACH ON THE NORTH BANK AT THE MOUTH OF THE MIGHTY MERRIMACK RIVER. STRIPERS THERE ALL YEAR MAKES FOR EXCITING FISHING FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS. CAMPING, RV, ETC. GOIN BACK REAL SOON. HAPPY SUMMER 2019
Best kept secret in Massachusetts!! Great beach walking especially off season all year long. Beautiful marsh vista along with ocean surf.
I loved how clean the area we were in was, the lifeguard patrolled the area frequently and the rest rooms were clean! We went on the last Wednesday of August so not a lot of people in our area, it was a gorgeous, picture perfect day in the 70s and a fun time was had by all. We grabbed ice cream, on the board walk, from Willey's which was ok, nothing spectacular and my jimmies on my flavorless vanilla soft serve were sorta stale, and a few doors down, I forget the name of the place, had no fried clams!!!! I was bummed and we chose to wait to eat until we returned to Somerville!!! A beach food place must have clams and other seafood at all times when you are the best according to locals, you advertise your seafood and it wasn't a busy day to run out by 2:30! Overall, Salisbury Beach is a great place to have a relaxing day at the beach!
The beach is beautiful and it's free but there is no indoor showers only outdoor ones. I personally don't like to ride around with sandy cheeks but maybe some do. If they added some showers it would be 5 stars.
Since 1989 I have been camping at Salisbury Beach Reservation and they have done some great upgrades. It's a second to the beach, it's a nice walk to some entertainment and fast food. Family oriented and it adult oriented depends on the lane you select. Life is great at the beach!
A quiet day at the beach. Thankful to live near the Ocean.
Always enjoy Salisbury Beach. Pizza fried clams fried dough ice cream. Whats not to love? Well the diet doesn't like it.
Great space, outdoor with some coverings at the pavillion. Playground and out door bbqs. Nice beach and river front. Make sure not to park on sides they will ticket you!
I personally love this beach. Parking is affordable. Even on busy, hot summer days there’s always a place to park. There’s bathrooms and they are clean. Only thing I’ve noticed is this beach attracts some gross people who don’t act proper in public but other than the people, the beach itself is clean and beautiful. My go to beach
Nice clean beach for hangout and spend quality time with friends and family. Entire area is beautiful and nicely maintained. Bird lovers will like the other side of the beach where you can see lots of birds.
Everything is nice and clean who doesn't like the beach
Love this beach. Always clean and well-kept, convenient parking. This time we met relatives from out of town who were staying in the adjacent camp ground. They allow dogs out-of-season as long as they're leashed. Ours loved it.
It is a beach compete with an old fashioned arcade. It is worth a visit if you are interested in the ocean. Be wary of the cold water though, it presents a skin numbing good time. What else can you say about a beach? The sand is clean and discreet.
We had a great time with our friends at Salisbury Beach!! The weather was beautiful and the water was awesome once you get over the atlantic cold! I love it!
The beach itself is nice, but the other people there are rude and as soon as it gets dark the gnats come out and they are EVERYWHERE.... Can't get back to the parking lot without them trying to fly down my throat
Best beach North of Boston. Surfs up !
Awesome beach. But parking was limited top only 3Hrs for a vehicle. This was disappointing. Charge a little more but why limit for just 3hrs?? Doesn't make sense.
It has clean restrooms with changing tables for babies. There is campground so you can bring a tent or camper. Campground store on site. The park is near downtown Salisbury so you can enjoy the night life. There is a play ground at the beach on the far end of the park. Plenty of areas to picnic. Life guards on duty beginning at 10 when in season. Slightly less crowded than other area beaches.
A lot attraction for kids. Ocean bring strong emotion. Feel the energy of ocean!
Awesome stretch and good facility. 14 dollars of days parking. Good experience!
Beautiful and peaceful area with access to beach. They have public bathrooms and positive environment. Prices are decent.
Love it but the waves are not that good for small children. But when its low tide it is great.
Salisbury has really come a long way. The boardwalk they added to walk along is nice. You don't have to drag your belongings to far into the sand. It was not crowded beautiful weather. They also added a new parking area. I have always liked this beach ,now they really cleaned up the area around it. Because for a while it went downhill.
Great beach to do all kinds of things. Very clean and not rocky in the least. It was fun to just sit on the beach, take a walk down to the arcade center and get an ice cream or just stroll northward and take in the waves.
Clean and amazing facilities, with full/private showers!! This is the state park, not to be confused with the strip at Salisbury Beach.
Lots of waves..sunset was gorgeous and we even had a rainbow over the beach..long beach for walking.soft sandy beach..no rocks.. there is a town lot for parking. $13 for ther day pay by license plate..bring cash as sometimes the credit cards don't go thru and some places on the beach only take cash.. some go karts and small arcade for kids. Bar with live music overlooking the beach.. waves are strong
Great off season beach for long walks with or without dogs.
Love that I can camp using a tent or camper and also enjoy the beach.
Beachin!! Nice beach, good waves, not too crowded, we love the beach pizza!
Had to stop driving, got too tired... The RV. was too much to handle in the rain. SBSP had an opening for a sleep overnight. It was raining & the wind was howling, however the photography of the waves & ocean was worth the waking hours. Even Drove to Plum Island lighthouse for a photo-op. Salisbury was a quaint seaside area.
Lots of parking and a playground for the children. The restrooms were"natural composting" or something of the sort and definitely didn't smell great. The beach was very empty while we were there. Also noticed a camping/rv area.
Host campers do a terrible job cleaning the bathrooms and showers. Barely do any campsite keep up. They should end the host camper program and hire people to do the job competently.
A stop at Tripoli pizza is a must! Love the places to sit and eat and the large flower beds. Adds a lot to the area!
Gorgeous beach, beautiful coastal town. Everyone was so friendly and kind and the water itself was refreshing. Definitely worth the drive if coming from a bigger city farther south.
Our first time visiting this beautiful quiet beach. Close enough to take a quick drive to activities and great food
This beach is great! Lots of parking and MUCH cheaper than most.
Definitely a must go in MA! Huge multiple parking lot, amazing soft beach, sturdy solid rock path along beach, public restrooms, BBQ and picnic tables, and even a playground and bicycle lane! They have all I imagined for a Atlantic beach, and even more! Plus, this area is very clean. Will try camping here later.
I used to come here as a child. Still a child if you ask my intimacy challenged wife, but this time i can buy beer. There are plenty of trash recepticals to hide a blossoming alcoholism disease, and plenty of places to take her on a "romantic walk" to shut her up. Beautiful dunes transition to the mouth of the mighty merrimac river with relatively easy digging... Walmart in seabrook sells shovels zipties and bags of lime to make this process as easy as 1,2,3. Ample parking ensures no time loss between parkinglot and beachside!!! Great palce to bring the kids or a mouthy wife. My only wish is i had come sooner!!! Vending machines for your convienience now accept credit cards!!!
my mother lost her keys once in the sand and we got them back 5 stars
Great Campground big sites but needs a lot of updating.
We love the reservation ocean and river side. We come here with family and friends to relax. The reservation continues to be a favorite destination.
Beautiful place to camp or just visit for the day. Amazing sunrises and sunsets!
I love Salisbury Beach I grew up here so it is sentimental. You have to have some tripoli's Pizza and Christie's Pizza. They have the very best. they have a nice boardwalk at this beach lot to different places to eat arcades ice cream candy. A beautiful place in my mind and heart.
What a lovely state park and the beach was clean. I enjoyed a relaxing day reading my book while the kids explored.
My favorite beach. I probably wont ever go anywhere else. Last time i went to RI there were tiny bugs and red seaweed everywhere. Cape cod and NH are freezing cold. Salisbury is my fav.
Lots of shops on the boardwalk and plenty of options for foid ranging from hit dogs and pizza to lobster rolls swordfish. Bands play live music throughout the summer and never disappoint. Parking is close and cheap.
They do not honor Massachusetts law of parking fee waived for disabled veterans, they kinda chuckled and told me no. Beach is clean though. Just the fact they have streets named after dead US Army soldiers in their honor, and then turn around and do that with our benefits to going to state parks.... Come on Massachusetts
Liked Hampton Beach better, just across the bridge. Salisbury beach geared more for kids during the day because of carnival type activities. Smaller beach area, mostly used by people renting along good part of beach on family vacation. Night time more for adults looking for 3 star bars.
Love the waves! The beach is clean. My only pet peeve and I find it at every beach is smoking! Come on....I want to smell the Coppertone, the salt and the sand...not your butt!
Easy to get to, fair parking cost, right on beach, and fantastic crew and auditorium. Great acoustics, modern facility, great seating. Would recommend anyone going to a concert to check out this theatre... great atmosphere. Great seating and huge stage.
Love this state reservation, very clean and quiet. Beach, river playground and camping all in one location. Every site has a grill fire pit with electric and water. Clean showers and bathrooms.
Salisbury beach is amazing. The overall feel of it is insanely amazing. So much food, many activities, a very clean and amazing beach, oh my god. If I could give this one thousand stars I would. I had a great time there. Definitely go.
I love this place. Cheap and it has everything you need for a great camping experience while having 24/7 access to the ocean.
The new boardwalk is so beautiful! I hadn't seen it yet!
The seashore is quaint and picturesque, but be aware of an eager parking police crew & tricky to navigate parking meters. The food was excellent, but we won't be back.
This beach has changed so much to the positive. The band stand, the central updates for kids and family is awesome . It was very clean, my son had a blast. The walk along the beach was new, clean, and very nice. I wish it had a rinse station like Hampton, but other then that it was much better. My son loved the carousel too.
Cool place to experience the beach and fun of what's expected of s beach, just on a smaller scale; very nice.
Best beach in all of New England! Lots of free parking and paid ones. Variety of dining choices and desserts as well as gift shops. Restrooms are maintained all day long and police station is nearby for safety. Beach is so huge, there's lots of space to spread out so you don't feel too close to the next person. Water is so clear with no seaweed like most and all sand no pebbles or shells and you can walk out pretty far before it gets deeper. Love this location and surrounding town of Salisbury!
Best place around top notch service.
We go every year. Great places for family's. Clean beaches, campground and playgrounds. Great attractions to see.
Great environment, very clean campground and we will be back next year
Well maintained, beautiful beach, and a lot to do! Good for kids
Beautiful spot despite the rain still had a wonderful time
We only went to take pictures of the big chair by the parking area. Although it has changed and they are making it to attract more visitors, we still prefer Hampton Beach over Salisbury.
Not a bad place, ample space per lot, good price. Bathrooms are clean, showers, while clean, need a redesign. Cant keep your stuff dry when the water sprays into the little changing area. But it's a nice idea.
Decent boat ramp with plenty of parking. Bathrooms are down the road a few minutes. Easy access from the ramp back into Newburyport or out the channel to the ocean. The channel can get quite rough for sure so be ready as soon as you turn the corner and head out.
Great place to go for the beach. Toilets etc. Unless it's green head season. :oO
Beach was clean, lifeguard on duty very good. Need more parking designated for bathrooms.
My first time at the state park, and won’t be my last. The beach was very clean and all the facilities well taken care of.
I love fishing and swimming here parking could be better as way to many spots are saved for trailer users
I go every year faithfully with family and friends! Fantastic place that accommodates all age brackets
Beauty place, nice and more quiet then other beach. A little bit small sand beach. Easy to access to beach, also, driving is not traffic.
Great atmosphere awesome strip. Fun time
Fun, lots to do. Love the arcades and concession stands. Highly recommend for the weekends! If its warm out you definitely want to bring bug spray!!!
Presently surprised at the layout and space provided. Clean facilities and grounds. The beaches had plenty of space and this time in the season. Definitely going to make it a yearly event!!!
Super clean beach some year round residents not so nice
I can't believe I've never been here! Only 35 minutes from Revere, 45 from Boston. Close enough to go for the day. Surfside was fun with live reggae music and views. So much to do, eat and just relax.
Awesome!! In state plate 14 bucks. Out of state 20. Clean Attended restrooms. Nice spot lots to see!! Wonderful clean water.
You go for the beach. The campground has over 500 sites, close together, with minimal amenities. But you can walk to the beach. Which makes it all worth it.
It's the ocean, an fried Oreos on vanilla ice cream. Enough said
Bathrooms were clean. Nice beach. Great place to watch boats going in and out. No concession.
Best place.. The water is very shallow near the beach.. It's fun to submerge your legs and walk around!
I love going here the fishing is ok but it is very relaxing
Love this campsite. We'll comeback for sure
$20 to park cash or credit card accepted. get in at dawn enjoy the view, get good choice of parking, by 9 it is crowded parking will be further from beach, it is mostly adults with some kids. water is cold. on sun July 28th. bathrooms and showers available in parking lots.
Clean, watched over by great state workers, friendly beach goers, bathrooms & rinse off showers in season
Nice and clean beach. Went on a free parking day which made it even better. Water was still freezing so none of that for me. The grandkids were in it though. Love exploring through the rocks for shells.
Absolutely wonderful campground. Dogs are allowed and this was a must for us on this trip! Bathroom was adequate, the staff friendly, and the spots are really nice. Beach and small beach next to river are in walking distance, and there's a decent bit to do around here. Great stop on our trip, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
Clean and easy to use. Free street parking always available around the public access to the beach. We love!
Nice beach pretty waves, reminded me of OOB not in a good way. Go carts were to be the highlight until the extremely unpleasant man told my son who made the height and age requirement that he couldn't ride because and I quote 'what are you 7?' Technically 10 and 54inches
There was music, lots if people, good food, lots if fun games, and fireworks. What a great night!
A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work..... Lol. Beaches are clean, public restrooms clean. Beach goers are always friendly.
I have alot of memories going to this place all my life!! Theres many trails to walk and they have a board walk with arcades and many places to get fried dough, fried clams, homade fudge all reasonable prices
Came here camping. Great time with the family. Half of the staff is very friendly and the other half rude as can be.
Cool place just watch out for the skunk's at night....
This place has been cleaned up quite a bit. Started vacationing here 9 years ago, and have seen some major improvements. Fun activities for the kids, places to eat, live music, and lawn games. Cool way to hang out, for the while family.
Great beach on the north shore for boogie boarding and a nice long beach walk. Plenty of parking, but get there early on Sundays.
Salisbury Beach State Reservation has everything you need and great eateries especially 12 Ocean Grill.
A great place for camping. Private access to the beach (river side) and only 2 miles from the center strip of Salisbury beach (ocean side). The restrooms were very clean, both the old bathhouse and the new. Great for kids and pet friendly. They have tent sites and RV sites, all having water and electricity. Area is open but each site has a decent amount of space.
Good clear beach. Many businesses around for the all family fun. Cheap parking, close to this place.
28' class a This campsite is busy with kids and families but was surprisingly quiet. The campers are packed in, if you want solitude look elsewhere. Water, electric and a level concrete pad added up to a pleasant stay. We'll be back again :)
Beautiful sun rises and sun sets. Beach cleaned nightly. HOWEVER, wish I could say the same things about the rv/tent sights. They are unkept; cig buts, scraps of paper and all around dirty. The hosts tell me they are not responsible for the up keep of the sights. I guess we are used to the beautifully kept Florida state parks (with alot few hosts)! Also the new bath house, expensive, has 2 showers for each side (men/women). The other two, bigger, bathrooms/ showers, need a total face lift; but they are very clean!
Salisbury state reservation is many folks favorite beach in Massachusetts. Less crowded than others and not as commercial.
Havnt been there in about 7 years. When we did go there which was quite alot every year we did enjoy the beach area. Bathrooms were not the cleanest and the walk from parking to the beach was very long which to myself with a child was a big inconvenience. The amount to pay to get in was reasonable. Did like the outside rinse off showers outside near the bathrooms.
It's a nice place but be choosy about your spot. Some of the sites the water and electric are a distance from your site so you'll have to have long cords.. clean and friendly
Been going to Salisbury for 63 years. CHRISTYS PIZZA IS STILL THE BEST BEACH PIZZA. While there visit the store next door. Great deals. Locally owned by the people helping you. Them them I Rainbow t Macaw sent you.
Camping space is pretty roomy. You aren't right on top of each other. But more trees between the rows would be nice. Campground was quiet, and the beach is fantastic since it is not developed. My only complaint is that the water hookups can be very far away. Bring 100' of hose.
Bluer water, cleaner sand, really liked this beach.
I was at Hampton Beach Seafood Fest! Just fantastic! Been going since 911!
This is a clean beach with great life guards and plenty of space for a long and enjoyable day atbthe beach. There are multiple bathrooms and shower stations throughout the park and ample parking. It's a 14 dollar fee for Massachusetts residents or you can buy an annual permit good for other state beaches. It's our family's favorite beach due to its great vistas, space, and ease of use.
The waves were rough but overall had a blast
I went here with my girlfriend on a weekday night. Some of the streets were pretty dirty. There is definitely room for improvement. It was fairly easy to get in and park. There was plenty of parking. It looks like they have built some new buildings and a new boardwalk which is nice. We stopped to use the restroom on a street behind the boardwalk in an old arcade. All of the games and prizes were old or older and a few of the games didn't work. I felt kind of bad for the guy. Overall Hampton is alot better. However the beach is very nice and the view was great.
Went to see Iron Butterfly at the blue ocean. Great venue. Wife loved it and would defiantly go back. Right on the inner cape. To cold at the time for the bustling summer with all shops open.
This is a very fun and enjoyable space for family! It's manageable and has a level of fun to it that you won't see elsewhere. It's like a training beach, but there's enough to do if you're here for a little bit and it's fun when you've got a little bit of time after you go to the beach early in the day!
Our go to place. Can be kinda hard to find parking close, but there are always spaces. Might just have to walk a bit.
It was 90° and for once I was at a beach that wasn't packed! It was clean, the water wasn't freezing and there are life guards till 5. I'll definitely be going here again.
Nice beach but $20 dollars a day in the off season is too much
We stayed here for 4 nights in mid-June. The site was satisfactory in size and hook-ups. The proximity to the beach and boat launch is also great!
Very nice campgrounds. Clean and quiet. The only drawback was we had a group site and it was the only one that did not have electric or water..and the website said all sites had it..
Beautiful beach. Rest rooms, showers and camping available. Easy walk down the beach to restaurants. Fills up on weekends when you will sit in traffic when leaving. Basically only 1 access road through Salisbury.
Sand, sun and waves....what could be better
Great place. Clean, great staff and nice beachgoers. Nice for a day at the beach or camping.
Nice family beaches with surrounding hotels and lots of activities going on around the beach
The beach, food, and music is what makes Salisbury the best. The weather is soo nice, you get a breeze. If there are any questions, I am the right person to talk to.
Really pretty beach that doesn't get the crazy traffic
Beautiful scenery very clean beach and good for finding shells and sandollars
Great place. Getting into the parking was a bit hard.
Salisbury Beach is beautiful, with expansive tidal flats at low tide that make it a perfect beach for little kids to play on. I've also found parking here is a bit easier then at other comprable local ocean beaches, although wait times to get in and out in the summer can be tough if you don't time it correctly.
Enjoyed a nice weekday afternoon running a Losi Super Baja Ray 1/6th scale short course RC truck in the dirt parking lots, and across some of the shallow sand dunes. The park staff informed me of where to avoid a few known wildlife habitats and breading areas, and were really cool about me running the truck through 4 or 5 battery packs.
We always come to Salisbury Beach and rent the same third floor rental for a month sometimes all winter long. So beautiful, so calm..
Convinient Parking. Clean Water/Sands and High tides. Perfect Beach Experience. Shower/Restrooms Facility available as well.
Great beach to spend time. Lot of fun stuff around. Definitely a good place to visit.
We were expecting a less than pleasant stay here since on the campground map it looks like a huge parking lot. It is but the sites are paved and level and proximity to the beautiful beach make it just right. Almost every site of 484 is occupied with happy campers. Families enjoying themselves but not noisy. Our site #31 had a nice little side yard with Staghorn Sumac and Wild Roses blooming along the path to the beach. This one is also close to the shared water hook up. Some sites actually need 100ft of hose! The sites along A street closest to the Atlantic seem to be the best. Bathouse is large, clean and plenty of hot water. Grounds are clean and well maintained. Great experience though a bit pricey at $50.
The Salisbury Beach State Reservation RV park was the first ever RV park my family stayed at. It was the second stop on our trip across the country. We were very excited to see the ocean and didn't know what to expect from an RV park. We are currently traveling shore to shore, from the Atlantic to the Pacific. And we were so relieved to find this park clean and well-kept. There were beautiful monarch butterflies everywhere. We arrived mid September and the beach was practically empty. It felt like we had the place to ourselves :) The early morning sunrise on the shore was breath-taking! And our dog son Barry Gizmo got to feel the sand under his paws for the first time and he seemed so happy running on the beach all day! We stayed two nights, enjoyed fires at the provided fire ring, and meals at the provided picnic table. The park was packed with other campers, but it was very quiet and peaceful. We greatly enjoyed our stay! I LOVE THE OCEAN! p.s. if you want a really good burrito, we really enjoyed our lunch from Dos Amigos Burritos in the nearby town, Newburyport.
Clean, safe, open beach. Great for kids!
