Here you have all the opinions of real people who purchased the products and services of Hopkinton State Park (Park) around Massachusetts area.
Right now the firm has a score of 4.6 out of 5 and that rating was based on 1170 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is nearly the best one, and it is founded on a very high number of opinions, so we can conclude that the valuation is very accurate. If many people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Park is included in the category of State park.
One of the nicer lakes in mass. Very family friendly which makes it very busy. You can grill, swim, and enjoy few more water activities. Has different sections and each has it's own feel. But all in all my family loves to go there ( also it's a state park so the yearly pass gets u in)
The boating here is awesome. I'm a big dude and despite that, this was an awesome experience.
Beautiful, clean and easily accessible park. Nice kayaks available for rent. Not too crowded. Really liked the view it offers. Excellent rating
Nice place to go hiking and more
I love this place good for swimming and kayaking only downside is the people how play music very loud..
It's a nice park with a few short trails and a beach area. The trails are well marked. Dogs are supposed to be on-leash but people don't follow that rule and it doesn't seem to be enforced (at least out of season)
Awesome park.. there are beach, big garden, walking path, bike path and boating too.. if there are lots of crowds than we have to pay $8 per vehicle otherwise it is free..beautiful place. Kids friendly.
Beautiful state park. Decent prices for kayak rentals. It was pretty busy on the day we went but the boat rentals process was pretty streamlined so the wait to get into a kayak wasn't too bad. Overall we had a lot of fun!
I've only been there once, but it was a good experience overall. There are some grill and picnic sites, there is a beach with boat rentals, and there are several hikeable and bikeable trails. I've heard there is fishing, and that they stock it with trout, but I haven't cast any lines out here. There are multiple parking sites in the park to use. You do have to pay to get in by car, but I don't remember the costs off the top of my head. It is a state park though, so if you look in the Massachusetts state parks website you might find out about those fees.
Just another over polluted MA pond-lake if you must. Connecting clearly to inner city with commuter rail and such has turned this into an absolute dive. There is trash EVERYWHERE. There should be citation fines or what not for people dumping all this trash right outside their cars. Recommend using tubes, kayak, or paddle boards to swim far out or to the other side of the shore as everywhere else is disgusting.
Wonderful place to spend a day. Lots of well maintained trails, small beaches, lake, kayaking, boating etc.
Couldn't swim because of the bacteria in the water.
It does need more parking spaces
Beautiful scenarios & huge space
Love this state park for all kind picnic with family and friends
Nice place for picnic and have a lake where you can rent kayaks
Beautiful Clean State parks. We did a small hike to the river?! Across from the swimming area. Nice day for a hike too . Place was so much fun
Awesome fun on the boats!
Beautiful, serene and very quite. Ideal place for outing with family or friends. Boating options are also available for sail, peddle, row or kayak. A little costly and needs some upkeeping.
It was nice place, beautiful. People could fishing, swimming, cooking barbecues.
Great for corporate outings
Wonderful place to bring family or group to play relax and enjoy
Nice place for a walk with the dogs or a kid. Plenty of parking. Also has boat and kayak rentals
Great family retreat. Love the trails and beaches. Can get quite busy though.
The trails I explored were fairly limited but the area to explore is very beautiful. The trip is definitely worth the visit, and there are affordable boat rentals to take onto the lake.
Heavily crowded but scenic.
Went here to go Kayaking with my sister & boyfriend. $8 to park a MA car, and a double kayak was ~$22/hr and a single is ~$16/hr which is pretty reasonable. The lake is gorgeous and the staff is young but kind. You do have to make sure 1 person from each group brings their ID up to the desk though. Also, they provide life jackets and have lockers that you can rent. They allowed us to bring a cooler which is awesome. We pulled onto a little cove & hung out.
Beautiful place to swim cookout and enjoy serenity.
Quiet and clean. Lots of family gatherings.
Very nice place to go but the beach needs work there's way too many rocks can not enjoy the beach, I was also very surprised that there is no lifeguard on duty while people are in the water
Visited late September 2019. The swimming area was dried up and looked like it had been for some time. I saw one drinking fountain clogged with leaves and full of stagnant water, and there were few trash cans near the picnic areas. I wouldn't say it was worth the $8 entrance fee.
Beautiful place, dog friendly, if you want to make a barbecue make sure to arrive early to find good places.
Once they close the gate, they don't reopen, like they claim. In order to get in you have to practically sleep there. People end up leaving early because the green area close to the water is too small; people are practically sitting on top of each other so you end up setting up your picnic area so far that the amount of walking is exhausting to get to the water. Also once you are in you can't leave, there is no re-entry, no matter what. Would not recommend...
Well marked trails. Beautiful waterfront and very helpful staff. A great place for picnics, walking and boating.
Park is well maintained with a lifeguarded swimming area, boat and kayak rental, and a multiple picnic areas. We enjoyed walking around the lakes and picnicing in the forest. There's a small, reasonable entry fee: $8 for an MA plate and $15 for out of state. We went on a nice Sunday afternoon (June 10th) and it was packed. Given it's a very popular destination if you want a quieter experience plan for a weekday or try parks that are farther out.
I loved it . Nice place to take family with kids . Make bbq , fishing, swimming, walk and hike . Dogs are allowed . Cleaned bathroom . $8 Dollars parking to state(ma) license. Friendly place .
Expansive and beautiful State Park with well laid out hiking, biking trails. Ample clean water access with small children swim area to SUP, kayak, canoe rental. Good fishing or swimming throughout. The lower area offers gentle sloping shallow water swimming and charcoal grill areas for cooking. Good clean restrooms located several spots. The entry fee is $8.00 worth every penny for an area you can enjoy all day. Plenty of parking , easy to find at 164 Cedar St.
Great little State Park. Never enough parking keeps the place less crowded on holidays. Just rode by the park in Independence Day and there were three (3!) Hopkinton police officers doing their best to keep people from driving or walking into the at-capacity park.
Awesome lake for kayaking, small sailboats, and relaxing. Usually busy on nice days but there's enough area. Little islands are fun to hangout at and have beachy areas.
In a fast pace world, it is nice to have a place like this park nearby to rejuvenate. I go there often to escape. The park can be very busy during the summer weekends, although, you can enjoy it with more tranquility on the weekdays. I simply wish it were better managed.
Great place for my agency's day away!
Clean, lots of fun to be had. Rent kayaks double or single, paddle boats and lessons right on water. Sailboats...
Beautiful park & beach. They have grills to have bbq's, bathrooms, kayak rentals, and walking trails.
Nice place. Small sandy beach. Picnic tables. Walking paths. Dog friendly.
We enjoyed this park, the picnic pavilion was perfect for a group picnic. Parking fee was $8 for MA licensed vehicles.
Peaceful. A good place to breathe.
Other than no soccer nets anymore
great public beach, trails, picnic spots, scenic walk along the reservoir dam, paddle boarding
Beautiful place.. I like so much
Nice family friendly place with options of kayaking. Best part is its very close to population.
Superb place for outing. It was very windy when we were there, but still was good day. My 3 year old son did not stop running around. Will go again
Love the new look.easy walking But the bathroom was not clean or maybe people are in clean
Neat boating club. Nice park. Unfortunately too refularly crowded with people enjoying south american pop music at high volume without respect for the environment or others.
Wonderful place to be blended in nature. They have multiple trail paths and few small beaches. Good for grill parties. Not so crowded generally
Excellent getaway for a summer evening. The kayak is cheap with single @ 25 and double @ 22.50
I love to come here for quite and spacious clean place
Always a good time. Attracts large crowds on the hot summer days. Get there early if you want to find a spot with a grill and tables.
Water was unswimable due to high levels of bacteria. Bummer!
Bathrooms could have been cleaner but beach was clean and had a fun family day
Great time fishing with the kids
Beautiful location; a real hidden gem. Surprisingly diverse group of people who utilize the park. You can use their grills, swim in the lake, and even go kayaking. Feel free to bring your dog for a long walk here too
It was a great place to spend some time
One of the most beautiful lakes/reservoirs in the state. Boat rental with a summer camp for kids who enjoy learning to sail
Amazing place for some adventures with your four-legged friend
Awesome park, clean, well kept, with scenery, birds, picnic spots, boat launches and much more!
Lovely place.. Fishing, hiking, boats bbq beach.. everything for family
It's a beautiful place for a picnic with family. There are lot of grills and benches around. There are beaches to enjoy. I really enjoyed the boating in the lake, it was very refreshing. The kids loved it.
The place is perfect to spend a day with family and friends. There is a sandy beach and serene waters. There are multiple trails for hiking/walking around the place. The place is clean and well maintained. The Hopkinton State Park charges 8 dollars per vehicle. I loved the walking trails. There are picnic tables set up at various points. You can have a lot of fun barbecuing at this place. There are coal grills set up at this place. We had lots of fun playing cricket and soccer. Looking forward to visit this place again.
Really fun place to have a bbq and theres an ice cream truck!
A little pool fit for roasted ducks. They like to burn some potato salad. ALso is is nearby a sleazy dollar store which plays despacito
Beautiful and scenic park with a lot of activities to do!!
Best area lake for smaller sailboats and watercraft, with 6 boat ramps and plenty of parking. Also a popular spot for bringing dogs for a swim. 2 beaches, picnic areas with grills, and dirt trails for hiking.
Great place for family picnic, hiking, swimming and many many more entertaining things.
Beautiful park. Free access off season.
Beautiful place and peaceful to be with your familia and friend's
I loved exploring the little islands while kayaking
Very good boating experience. They have Kayaks, Canoes and Paddle boats. We have to reach there before 6 pm
Excellent place to enjoy with trails , cycling and kayaking
One of the best state parks in the state. Perfect for group or family get together/picnic. There are a lot of picnic areas. Overall park is always clean and well maintained. Bathrooms available in all picnic areas.
It’s really nice walking there! I went with my dog and he loved it too! It’s a nice place to immerse yourself in nature, hike or simply relax by the lake, there are a lot of different areas you can explore and it’s definitely a great place to spend a nice and warm day! There are also a few covered areas in case you are unlucky enough to be surprised by the rain. The only downside is that dog must be leashed at all times, which can be kind of annoying.
Very good park for the family gatherings, clean , cold water, life guards on duty.
Man went here for the first time and then the 4th of July at that and it was rough man. Line was about 2 miles long. Took me an hour to get in and some change to find parking and because there was no more parking at the beach we had to park uphill from the beach which added 20 more minutes because the beach was about a mile down the hill from the parking. Walking a mile down a hill with food and drinks ain’t easy. People fighting for tables and grills it was just crazy. Kids had they’re fun but I was so irritated by all the craziness I left early. Place was beautiful and maybe next time I’ll just go on an off day for the trails and hiking.
Great beach, usually pretty quiet
Stay away!! People's who work for the park are very unprofessional, rude no education at all, u try to ask them a simple question, they ignored u!!!They need to be trained how to deal with peoples be more professional!! Not act like animals..very disappointed will not come back at all..!!!
Clean, great for families!
So many spaces for BBQ.. beautiful too
My family and I buy the state park pass because of this gem! It does tend to get busy on the weekends, but that is expected!
Super cute place to take the kids swimming. It was clean. Life guards could have been paying more attention to the water and not each other. Fishing was fun also. Kids did some catching.
Very Serene and relaxing
Amazing park, very easy to get to. Clean and has great picnic amenities.
Simple, clean, good fun. Fun place to chill
Take you family here.. You will have a good time
It is good place for swimming, grilling and fishing.
Amazing facility. Clean and well maintained man-made beach. Awesome ambience for kids and families. Absolutely a beachy feeling with lots of green space and shade to sit. Huge picnic areas with hundreds of benches. Definitely visit. Massachusetts cars are charged $8 and other states cars are charged $15. That's all. Rest everything is free.
Perfect place to visit with the family
Beautiful state park with 2 fresh water beaches staffed with lifeguards. Kayak, canoe and paddle board rentals are available. Reasonable admission for MA residents. Clean and fun place for the family. Built in charcoal grills available on the beach.
Is and ok place to have I good day but the lake is dirty
Beautiful park. Massachusetts residents $8 to enter. $15 for out of state. Nice Beach, great picnic areas and kayak and paddle boats rental.
Nice place for kids and grown ups!
Good for hiking, kayaking and lake beach for kids
Great little lake to hangout and swim. Noticed an increase in theft the past few times I've been unfortunately. Definitely keep an eye on any valuables.
Cute park. Visited for spectating a tri and the water was freezing early May.
Beautiful park with plenty to do.
Nice place to have a picnic.
Great hiking trails the lake beach is ok if u rent a boat but there is geese poop all over the beach
Went on a winter's day. So beautiful and peaceful. Definitely a place to visit and explore
Nice area to go with the family for cookout or swim
I love walking my dogs here on the off season. The water is clean. Lots.of space for them to run.
Beautiful place full of activities to do!
Beautiful place to spend quality time with your family. There is plenty of room, well maintained and the park rangers (i belive that is what they are called) are consistent, periodically scopping the area. Great grilling, swimming and fishing areas. I will go back every year.
Had a blast kayaking with my friends.
Great spot. Loved the no swimming sign. Looking forward to going back in summer.
I really like the kayaking. It's a very peaceful place!
Good thing
Good place to get close to the nature
Love this state park. Tons of trails, waterfront runs through a large portion of the property with a swimming area in the summer. You can walk along the dam, plenty of parking lots throughout, bathrooms, and recreation areas.
Today we had a bad experience. It was too noisy from neighbor. They were playing music so loud that the whole park can hear it. Also park authorities could not control the alcohol and cigarettes.
I love this place is very good to share a good moment with family and friends
Amazing lake and great place to have a cookout
Good place to hang out with friends and family. Good place for BBQ / cookout. Tends to get crowded quickly, so make sure you get there early if you want to get a decent area for your entire group. My kids love the main Beach area. It's kinda small, but is perfect if you don't want to drive far and want to stay in the neighborhood.
Amazing place. You can rent boats, go for hiking, photoshoots, morning runs or just chilling and BBQ.
The best place, lake for family
Kayaking here is so fun! The water just looks a little funny in some spots...
Great spot for kayaking
Very difficult to find parking that is near by beach. 15$ for non MA resident to enter park which is lil high for the park.
Beautiful park, best to explore by boat (single kajak for 16$/hr) with several tiny islands to go to. The water was really warm and refreshing.
One of my favorite memories was celebrating the last day of school with my kids by going to swim together at the beach at Hopkinton State Park. Now, as the Leasing Consultant at Woodview at Legacy Farms, I have the pleasure of recommending this local hot spot to all of our new residents and I get to brag that we are less than five miles from this lovely park!
Awesome well maintained trail. One has to be relatively quiet, since it abuts residential properties. Very relaxing to walk under the shade of trees.
Been coming here since I was five years old , still enjoy coming here! Great for non motorized boating, biking, swimming and fishing.
Nice outdoor area.
Great place to have a picnic
It would be great if owner will keep their dogs on leash. A lot of dogs of leash, even tho the signs are saying is not allowed. Otherwise great park!
Nice area to swim, picnic tables, walking and bike paths, sail boat, kayak and paddle boat rentals.
State park with lots of possibilities... Swimming, boating, paddle boarding, fishing not to mention hiking, mountain biking and 'picnicking'. Gets very busy on hot summer weekends so come early!
There are many paths to choose from. In spring, expect bugs, like mosquito and Nats if you walk through woods. Not unbearable. May want to wear bug repellant.
I strongly suggest people visit there!!! It is a great place for kayaking (single $16/hr), hiking and camping!!
Really lovely place. There were many people there, but it didn't feel crowded at all. There are many picnic tables, grills and trees to hang hammocks (good shaded areas). I would definitely bring table cloths, something to clean the grill and beach chairs to sit by the lake specially if you have kids.
Grear place for a relaxing day of kayaking and swimming.
Good place to go to cook out
It is a very nice place to have a bbq and relax with family
Great place for GenX distance runners to train! Got myself a $60 All-Mas-Parks pass, based on my experience at this Mass-park.
It was amazing but I did get a lot of mini cuts from the rocks in the water but it was really good I went today with my church and friends and it was fantastic.August 4 2018
Water is contaminated with some weird disease; beach closed to swimming
Great place to trail run!
Nice place to relax
Good picturesque place for bbq or trail walk. You can do kayaking boating or canoeing as well. Enough parking place and many grills are available.
Great summer times here. Boating camp is great!!
I liked it . The nature was good, very life like, a fun 3d experience . There were some flies near the sitting benches so I am giving it 4 stars . Also no bathrooms so finish your nature's call before entering into this nature , cause nothing makes a person sadder than a full bladder
Nice green area close to Hopkinton. It includes a large pond split into two by a dam. It's got beaches to swim or paddle and even sail.
Great place to relax and unwind. Excellent
There were a lot of things to do a nice canopy and little lake. It was open yet had a lot of trees, beautiful.
I love this place! they just added a covered picnic area right near the bath house. Great trails and boating/canoeing, kayaking!
Great family fun
Lake Beach, Walking trail and picnic spots. Would be perfect place to have family time and summer Outing.
I was absolutely disgusted walking onto the beach on Saturday. Woman with almost no clothing covering private areas. Loud obnoxious music. Adults throwing balls in the water actual hit a small child in the head with a ball. Drinking on the beach n illegal substance being used on the beach. It was like I walked into someone's private block party in their backyard n not a public swimming area. No life guard n the bathrooms were in desperate need of a cleaning. With the $$$they collect at the gate one would think the property its self would be in much much better condition. Its so sad that the town of Hopkinton has let this beauitful gem of a place turn into such a awful mess. Absolutely not kid/family friendly!!!! Time to find a much more respectable swimming area for my children after going here for over 10 yrs.
My dog and I really love this park. It’s well kept and everyone is pretty friendly here. We probably spend a few days a week here all year round. The one complaint I have is regarding irresponsible dog owners. This park doesn’t enforce the leash laws so u need to be careful especially when u walk your own dog. I’ve had about 3 almost attack’s on my dog and luckily I am always alert when another dog approaches mine. Luckily nothing has happened but I have been very close within seconds away from an attack. I beg all of you dog owners to please be responsible and if your dog isn’t 100% on his commands keep it on a leash! Next dog that approaches us I will react in an aggressive manner to the dog and the owner(s) This is the only reason I give this park a 2 star review.
Nice park. Open year round. Great for hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, street walking, pick-nicking, BBQing, swimming, and fishing. No motorized boats are allowed.
Great place for hiking, beach, and boats!
