Small and nice place to take your little ones and you can enjoy with them! They have little fun pools of different kinds and staff is vigilant for any issues
If your looking for a fun calm and exciting place for kids and adults alike this is it. Secluded and just a wonderful hidden gem! Kids were safe and lifeguards are amazingly observant. Its a great place!
Closed 2 hours before closing stating over capacity because of birthday parties. That should have been stated on the website "closed for private event" The manager stated they knew they would be at capacity based on the rsvp for the parties before today. Poor business practice
Just ok
We used to enjoy this water park couple years ago but on our last visit (last week) although the park was not that busy, the changing room and bathrooms were disgusting.
EVERYTHING THERE SO AMAZING AND THE FOOD THERE, SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO GOOD!!!
(Translated by Google) I love the only bad thing is that they don't let food in (Original) Me encanta lo Único malo es que no dejan entrar comida
Not really a waterpark; its just a few pools with a few slides. Food was pricy and wasnt very clean.
We got all the way here and it was "closed for mechanical issues." Would've been great if they could've said that on the website so we didn't have to drive all the way here just to turn around and go home, and now it's too late to drive to one of the other water parks.
My family & I had so much fun must visit again!!
Prices is reasonable, location is perfect ,life guards on point, love this place!
Best place every come hear all the time shout out to maniger
My kids n i had lots of fun.not too crowded n reasonable price.
Normally i enjoy it here amd i still love this place, however today... i was off work today so i thought i wud spend this hot day at the pool. Looked at the hours on google amd it said compared to the weekend that tuesdays are rather dead... but today apparently it was camp day meaning that all throughout the day at different hours the ymca camps and stuff were bringing in troops of obnoxious, manner lacking kids that would jump over ur head to jump in the pool as they did to me several times, and all but sit on top of you in the pool even after u tell them to back up some. I think when camps decide to do this, maybe they should close the pool to the public that day and post something online about it as well... it was rather hard to enjoy myself today. It still helped beat the heat today tho, and the overcast help cool things down a bit as well. Now yea today was not the best day there for me but i still enjoy goin to the pool and i reccomend it to others.
LOVED IT<3<3
Low cost entry fee for hours of fun. 7 year old twins had a great time. Plenty of lifeguards on duty who kept close attention as well.
So much fun! If you plan on coming throughout the summer, I definitely recommend the annual pass. You will end up saving a ton of money. My 3 year old has a blast here every time we come. Very rarely are there lines or anything. And so many families and kids, it's a really nice atmosphere.
Nice water park
Water park is nice, but we went to the miniature golf course this trip. The course is very poorly maintained, but seems like it could be nice if the greens were replaced/repaired and the water features actually working.
My kids enjoy it Everytime
Good so far
Is just a copy of Aquatica
Plenty of different water slides and areas for kids to indulge in for a good 4-5 hours. The pool areas are well maintained and sufficient life guards around.
Loved it. Going back next summer.
Great place for kids. Make sure you get there early cause it does get crowded.
Admittedly, this was my first time visiting a waterpark aside from those attached to big places like Hershey's Park or Kings Dominion. Nevertheless, this place was just what I needed. You get what you pay for and more. My son really enjoyed himself. The lifeguards are plentiful and were attentive, and the outside area was pretty much clean. The only thing I would change is (1) one or two more canopies to put chairs under (2) public restrooms need to be monitored and cleaned more religiously because it was definitely lacking. Outside of that - I had a great time and would definitely go back.
it is a very fun place and i like how there are two separate pools one for the smaller kids and one for every one else the food is pricey but its good to have it there also it is right next to the river and it has a lot of picnic places. One of the flaws is that the pools are not to clean one time that I was there with my family we found a booger in my cousins hair and we had to get it out with our fingers cuz what else would we use? And the showers aren't clean but other than cleanliness its a great water park that some times gets crowded but its a great park and i recommend it.
We love this place
the nastiest, dirtiest water park i have ever been to. Very low hygiene standards.
Niece's birthday party. Ok. I guess good for kids parties.
Cute little park good enough for the kids to swim and get wet for a day out. Very fair entrance fee. Could be renovated and made a little bigger to accommodate the growing population in this area.
Very fun
It was a great sunny day for memorial day alot of people showed up by 2 pm even there was not enough chairs available to seat some were standing or grabbing one fron another. The restaurant did not have nacho with chesse on cirst day of opening. The volcano burgers with french fries is $ 7.50 and one Pepsi in 16 OZ cup is $2.50 very expensive and quality not that great.
This waterpark was great! My whole family had a blast. Their different pools and activities were great for all ages. The lifeguards seemed very well trained and attentive to their work. The food was good as long as it came fresh. We ordered some food at different times and it varied. The staff seemed a little lazy about cleaning and helping. The management was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Nice park great for kids
Great place to bring kids and enjoy the waterslides. Nice environment and relaxed atmosphere.
I was here around 3 years ago and I realize I thought this waterpark was gonna be really big but it was way 2 small Need to be a lot more water slides and it's not big enough to make it worth of 45 minute drive if they could make it bigger like the Volcano bay(which i havent been to yet) orlando then it Would-be a lot better And there wasn't even a lot of theming anyway
We were looking for a water park to enjoy on labor day. The one we first went to was at capacity so we came here instead. There are 2 big water slides, a fun water play park with a huge splash bucket, a splash park and a nice sized swim area. Our kids had a lot of fun (1st and 7th grade) there was enough to keep them happy for 3 or 4 hours. We had some lunch there which was satisfactory, not too much ice cream choices though (maybe being the end of the season). Pricing was very reasonable and all in all a fun day out
The place was great, but the girls at the entrance, they must hate their jobs. They just can't smile.
The kids loved the different slides and play area with the water bucket dump. Was super clean and not too crowded on a Tuesday afternoon
Great Waterpark for children 12 and under. Bathroom floors were disgusting, and I did not see anyone clean the floors while I was there. I did see an attendant squeegee the excess water into the drains, but no actual sanitizing was done. The service was terrible at the eatery. There were 8 people ahead of me and all were waiting for fries. I ordered food thinking that they would start making bigger batches of fries, since everyone was waiting for them. I waited 30 minutes for fries and that is not an exaggeration. I also paid $8 for a paradise burger that was advertised with cheese, lettuce, and tomato. My burger came with a patty and bun, that's it! I asked the supervisor about it and she said they didn't have any of the other ingredients. So I paid premium prices for a basic product and half of my order was cold by the time I recieved the other half. In addition, the fries were over salted. They used salt and old Bay to season the fries. I like food well seasoned, but these were really salty. Lastly, in the 30 minutes that I waited for fries, not one of the cooks changed their gloves. One of the guys wiped his gloves on his shirt. I informed the cashier of this and he said he would address it. He did not. They continued using their soiled gloves while touching various things and cooked food. My observation is that there are mostly teenagers running this park, which is fine, but there should be better training on service and sanitation.
Is nice
Easy access... open atmosphere overall fun for all ages
Fun and nice
There is no volcano, so I don't know what that's all about. The kids seem to love it, and the staff are attentive. I docked it a start because the locker room is not useful. Lockers require coins, and are too small for what you would bring to a place like this. Also, too few shaded areas.
Good
I love this waterpark! There is so many chairs and the showers are a bit dirty, but i can deal with it. The paying though is to much. My dad had to waste like 100$, but this waterpark on the other hand is amazing!
This place was SUPER FUN! We went the weekend before Labor Day AND Labor Day weekend when Lake Fairfax's The Water Mine was full to capacity! The Water Mine looked WAY to packed to be fun, so Volcano Island wasn't too far from there and seemed fun. We had SOOO much fun in the pools with my five-year old nephew, and they even have life jackets for the little ones. And while it was VERY busy, it wasn't slam packed so there was room to play and swim! In the pool for small children, he really enjoyed the huge bucket that would fill with water and then dump down all over everyone. The water pressure from that bucket pouring down was kind of hard, so I wouldn't recommend anyone younger than him because of their soft heads. But there was a LOT more things for small children, and grown-ups, to enjoy. In the bigger, deeper pool I went down one of the two big slides they had, the open one, as opposed to the other enclosed one, and MAN did it zip me around and down! Super fun! They also let us throw our nerf football around in the deeper pool. We also played golf, and while the course left much to be desired, it was still fun. The staff was SUPER friendly and there were plenty of lifeguards around. The cafe is a little bit hidden in the back, but once you know it's there, you can get the usual junk food. You can also bring your own food and eat outside on the picnic tables they have, and we even saw three friendly deer over there. They played good music ranging from Jimmy Buffet to Soldiers of Jah Army (SOJA), and much more. Overall we had a GREAT visit and will be returning next year for sure! I would recommend it to anyone with kids, or who is a kid at heart.
Wonderful, neighborhood water park! Kids Love it!
Very nice, the only bad thing is the hamburger food only with the meat. They don't tell you that you should add very salty vegetables and chips on your own.
Staff on point
Great for kids young and old
Could have better food tho....
The best place for kids my kids want to stay there for hours
Good place for little ones
Had a good time!! Visited paradise cafe for some food!!
Nice place for kids and family
Awesome Waterpark
I have yet to visit but yesterday o brought my granddaughter because acording to ur website you were opened and u weren't. Now your website is updated wow how nice. Maybe you should have been more efficent.
Amazing place for adults and kids!
Fun place to take the kids. We really enjoy Algonkian Park.
My 8 yr old and his friend had a blast for hours. Not a lot of umbrella coverage for adults. Cafe sucks.
(Translated by Google) It is a good place to take the children to have fun as well as close at 7:00 p.m. (Original) Es un buen lugar para llevar a los niños para que se diviertan además de que cierran a las 7:00 pm
Even though the park looks amazing, the system they have for the rides is a waist of time. You can only play one ride at a time with the watch that they provide. And guess how many minutes you have to wait.....hours. So it took us to play 3 rides from arriving at 9am till 4pm. And the finally was when the rain arrived the system closed down. Once we were leaving the area, our slippers got stolen. So watch out! There are better places for me to waist my time and money than here.
So crowded with babies!!!!
i went there with kids and with a friend too i really loved the volcano island water park it’s a very good place for kids and adults too
Nice and cheap water park
My grandangels are 10 and 13 and would enjoy the park immensely. I, on the other hand, am old and broken. I would like to bring the kids and would sit in the shade and drink something cool, watching them play. But I object to being required to paying full fare if I don't partake of the water facilities. Is any relief available?
(Translated by Google) It's fun to spend with your family (Original) Está divertido para pasarla én familia
Limited parking for water park... water doesn't look so clean. Need more slides on kid's pool side.
There is a mini golf there as well.
Had alot of fun at the water park. It has plenty of options for kids of all ages.
Our children loved it. The discount after 4.00pm is well worth it.
Great park for kids to play during the warm months. It gets crowded at times. Staff are helpful. Had a great experience and will come back. There is a gated area for small children. It’s perfect for the kids who don’t know how to swim yet but still want to enjoy the water. Would be great if they use saltwater and reduce the chlorine level.
It's ok , we rather enjoy the park vs water park.
They wanted to search my bag for food on the entrance. All in all this place is old, dirty and horrible
It's a nice little water park. Not a lot of rides. Price is reasonable. My daughter had great time here.
Was a very nice place. Clean. Friendly employees. The only complaint I have is communication about the weather and when they are going to close, reopen etc. They made no announcements about this. It's not like they could not walk out and just let everyone waiting know what was going on. Give updates.
Amazing absolutely amazing
This place is just ok. The water park in Reston is much nicer! It's about $2. more but well worth it! The big pool was closed last week and they forgot to mention that when we were taking our entire summer camp there (30 kids)! The place is not that clean so bring flip flops to walk in the showers with. It's ok for the really little kids but I would go to Reston
Wonderful
Allways fun for my little kids
It is a really nice place to cool off and get some sun
Friendly staff ,fun for kids and adults alike
It is a very fun Waterpark I loved the bucket and the food was really good we all had so much fun
Campy
We went for the 1st time today and my kids loved it, they are 1, 9 and 11. I wish we could bring our own food in, it took over an hour to get some snacks from the concession stand, and they were sold out of a few things by 3 p.m. We will go back in the future, it wasna shirt drive from our house, clean and affordable.
Our campers love this place! We will definitely come back for business with them! Go Kim’s and Volcano!!
Very good for family and they take big pride on safety
It is one of the nice park... Lot of trees and shadow
Love good for kids
Very good water park. Kids have lot of happy and fun time. Must visit place.
Beautiful water park for a family to spend the day in, only problem is your forced to pay for rediculously priced food at the concession stand, there was barely anything on the menu left to purchase and what was left was poorly cooked , no flavor to the Burgers then they still wanted to charge the full $8.50 to get it with no fries. The three young boys running it had awful attitudes, I caught two of them giving some of the customers dirty looks while they waited on their food, and it was messy and dirty. When ordering my Soda the boy who got it was shoving it at me with an attitude. People in charge need to train these kids in good customer service, for all of that I should have been allowed to bring in my sandwich and chips.
Enjoyed thoroughly. Lots of different activities.
Awesome waterpark for family!!
Awosome!, you dont have to wait in line that much. It only takes 4 or 5 min to get on the big slides!
This is a very affordable water park that is both entertaining and very accommodating. The lifeguards are very attentive and helpful.
Clean well maintained
Nice water park
The concessions supervisor is such a charming young man.
Kids had a great time
Very nice place but small
(Translated by Google) In order. The music is much too loud and completely overcrowded on days. (Original) In Ordnung. Die Musik viel zu laut und an machen Tagen völlig überlaufen.
(Translated by Google) Good place to enjoy a little, good service saves lives the only bad thing just because your put a cloud closed early and I was arriving. (Original) Buen lugar para disfrutar un poco , buen servicio de salva vidas lo único malo que solo porque su puso una nube cerraron temprano y yo llegando estaba .
Very nice water park. The kids very much enjoy the zero entry pool & huge bucket that's always dumping gallons of water on you. The bathrooms could stand to be cleaned more often though.
bring your own lunch the food isn't that good but otherwise what an amazing water park!
Great place to take the kids. Inexpensive fun for an afternoon.
I love it as so the kids
We always have great fun when we go to Volcano Island. Make sure to buy a reusable cup to save a lot on refills as they are only $1.50.
This is a fun place in the summer for kids about 4 to 7 years old.
We go here every year. Not expensive, not crowded, and clean (for the most part). The rest rooms are pretty unkept so we tell the kids to 'go before we go'. Other than that bring some pest repellant as the shaded areas are full of mosquitos. The kids section is great with the giant bucket. Even my older kids like getting dunked. They also love the slides, both the small one for the smaller kids and the large one for the teenagers. The lifeguards appear to be attentive. I have not seen them texting or talking on the phone while on duty so that is a plus. They also have a first-aid station which came in handy when my little on cut her foot on the bottom of the pool (don't know how but kids get hurt no matter where you take them). So far this is the best and most fun pool area in our area so definitely would recommend.
Excellent water park
Great place to take a family with kids of all ages & a nice sunny day!
(Translated by Google) Nice place, a lot of security I liked (Original) Lindo lugar, mucha seguridad me gusto
Really nice
Lot of fun today
They have so many odd rules here. Like no toys. No kick boards. No floaties. Our children could not wear goggles on their slides. You can't bring your own snacks, food or drinks in. The bathrooms were very disgusting stagnant water everywhere. We ordered 2 burgers and a funnel cake and 20 minutes later they had still not started cooking any of our order. You would think they were busy but there was only one person ahead of us who only ordered nuggets and a small fry. The place is nice but we think they are insane about the rules and service was poor.
Its Small and very good water park, Especially the safety is the top priority in this water park. Lifeguards everywhere in the water park and they do amazing job. Kids will have fun.
Kids just loved it. 48" for all the big slides, but plenty for little kids. And parking free and concessions reasonable for waterpark!
Its fun they don't complain that often
Loved playing mini golf here. Great course, fun putts.
I liked the distribution of the pool and the play areas, we had fun but unfortunately due to weather conditions the park had to close early. The price is affordable and they have a good number of life guards in place that are really looking closely to every person in the pool to keep the order and stay alert in case of any accident, so this is great. We'll be definitely be returning to this park throughout the summer!
My kids loved it!! The water was clean and the staff was very friendly. It didn't feel crowded at all.
Pools, slides, big bucket.. Awesome!
Lots of fun with kids even though it is small park. Prices are really good. Beat the heat..
Was fun, but very crowded.
Great place great fun no complaints at all
Great we all had fun
fun
The park itself is nice and has a lot of entertainment for little kids who are non-swimmers. The reason for only two starts is that they don’t allow outside food and the selection they have in the “Cafe” is virtually laughable. Sodas, water, chips, Doritos, ice cream, and Papa John’s pizza that sold out by 1pm on July Saturday. The Cafe itself smells funny and is not very clean. So my question is - why am I forced to buy junk food (which is not even available at the time when it can be expected that people will want to have lunch) while I pay the entrance fee and can’t even bring any healthy snacks for my 4yo daughter? Either allow outside food or offer more reasonable selection on site! I’ll be happy to pay for it!
Great place for the family
The park was okay, regular sized. But there's a pest and sanitation problem. There were small dead frogs near the seating area, and large roaches floating in the water. The restrooms were filty. The floors felt like they were covered in slime. They need to have someone clean the bathrooms daily. After I saw these conditions, there was no way I was trying the food. Fam, I'm not coming back.
I will say this park is ok. We wanted to go to splashdown, but they do not open until Friday. We found this place instead. There is not much for older kids and adults to do, so I think it’s best for younger kids or if you have absolutely nowhere else to swim. The only saving grace is the two small water slides. I am glad we came after 4 pm because I really wouldn’t want to pay more the the discounted $5 we paid per person. I’d give a higher review if there were a lazy river like at some other parks. I took a whole star off just for the food. For chicken nuggets, fries and a drink it was $10. Let me tell you it was TERRIBLE. Target, McDonald’s dollar menu and literally anywhere else has better food. I stomached it down only because I was starving when we got here and it’s convenient. The prices are good but the quality is awful, even for the low price. My fries and chicken nuggets were not heated up fresh and were stale-clearly having been sitting in that warmer for hours.
Awesome fun
The kids loved it. They always want to go back everytime we went there.
Aaaaaaaaa
This is a great place! We spend most of our time in the kiddie section, but I love that if our 7 year old is in the big pool -even though shes a great swimmer- we can glance over and see her! They also have a great lifeguard team.wesaw a kid get disoriented in the water and they rushed to his side!
Great place for my very short, four-year-old daughter to enjoy swimming and playing in the water where she knows she can touch the bottom.
It was nice but the kiddy pool was DISGUSTING I saw a nasty bandaid and other stuff floating in the water. I told 2 of the guards about it and they just looked at it and did nothing about it. It looked like a blood clot to me. I took my granddaughter out... really gross forgot to mention I didnt see anyone testing the water. Trust and believe we are NOT going back there.
Place was great for my 3 & 7 yr olds. Older kids were a little bored since the 2 big water slides weren't working. If they had been open and the snack bar had been open, it would of been 5 stars
Good place for the kids . Pool is a decent size. However get there when they open. They run out of seats fast. 3 stars because they dont allow ANY outside food or drinks. And they do "random" bag checks. Also if your hungry order from the papa John's yourself. Or pay 8 dollars a slice. You have to eat it outside.
Love it perfect for the whole family
The staff are supper nice the bathrooms are always slippery so be careful
My family and I love this place!! It's really clean and not expensive!!!I recommend this place!!
There are 2 pools here. One has 2 big slides and some smaller slides for the little ones and a large are to just swim and free play. The other pool has a huge playground type thing the kids and climb the stairs on and get up to 2 tube slides. There is a large bucket on the top of the play ground thing that dumps water on everyone. Lots of other stuff too. Kids love.
Great place
Went with 2 and 4y kids. Fun was had by all- including adults.
Great family place! #waterpark #accessible #funnelcake
Came here for a bachelor party. Definitely not the type of venue for that. Great for kids though. They have a couple cool water slides.
The thing to keep in mind with this place is that most the employees there are volunteers. This means that the safety and Equipment are all up to date but some of the other services like the cleaning in the changing room / bathroom area needs Improvement. They also do not let outside food and drinks in other than water bottles and the food that they have in their little restaurant is a bit of a rip off. The Arizona teas that you can buy it the 7-Eleven up the road for $0.99 are $2.75 in the Cafe. So either pack your lunch and leave it in a cooler out in your car or bite the bullet and expect a very marked up price for simple canned sodas, burgers and fries. Be sure to keep your receipt safe and dry this is what lets you re-enter the park if you have to go out for some reason.
I have been trying to make reservations for summer for just about 3 months now. I have sent many emails and left several voicemails to multiple numbers and emails and have yet to even have one response back. Even now on days the park is open, no one seems to be able to help me. I have been able to make reservations for other water parks with NOVA so not sure what the issue is with Volcano Islands specifically. VERY FRUSTRATING CUSTOMER SERVICE RIGHT NOW!
The park got really crowded and almost no room to move in the pool. I think they let way too many people in! If you are lucky enough to get a spot under an umbrella, don't spread out too much. People just come and cram into the shade! They move all of the chairs and everything so they can fit 1 more in. I'd rather just sit in the sun!
We love it! Super affordable, clean, and in a safe area! The hour ride is well worth it!
it was so much fun their
The water jet is awsome
It's so fun and cool and asome verry fun but! When you enter the bathroom you need to we're flep flops because I don't know how much derdyer it's in the pools?
Very fun for most ages, just wish it was a bit bigger
Volcano Island is a great outdoor water park inside Algonkian Regional Park. There is a kids area with a dump bucket and small slides, a splash pad for smaller children, large swimming pool with medium size slides and plenty of seating. There is also mini-golf available for an additional fee and locker rooms for washing and changing. A small concessions area is available as well and plenty of parking.
