You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is really positive, and it is founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the assessment is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are pleased with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Park is classified in the category of Zoo.
My family and I had a great time here. My kids absolutely loved it and we will definitely return! All the staff we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great day!
Cute little zoo! The tigers & giraffe were so pretty, the peacocks & chickens running around made it feel quaint & relaxed. Love that most of the animals are rescues.
Nice place for the toddlers, lots of interaction with the smaller animals. Some of the animals are in enclosures that are fall too small, hopefully they can address that.
Great place to take your kids without all the crowds of the larger zoos. The only thing I didnt like was how some of the larger animals like the tigers and bears were in small enclosures. So I'm hoping they will working on larger enclosures for those guys! If it wasn't for that I would give it 5 stars!
Great Zoo. Not to small, Not to big. Lots of shade. They have feeding for the goats and donkeys, which was great. It was a nice walk around to look at the animals. I would totally do this zoo again if i was in the area. Everything was reasonably priced. My toddler loved it!
Nice smaller zoo. It has a wide variety of animals. I go there at least three times a year. I prefer it to the city zoos.
This place is a hidden gem. For being local, they are cheap and provide a neat activity for families and friends. I like how they use proceeds to improve the lives of their animals. I support this local zoo and suggest giving it a try.
This is a smaller zoo, but still has a good amount to see. It's a reasonable price as well. They only here one area located at the entrance to get food and drinks. So make sure you get them before going around.
Awesome zoo. Can't beat the price for all the different animals you can see. Don't need to drive to Philly.
We loved it! Small but lots to see
A great college tion of animals And ;reptiles and birds. A great introduction for young people. They can even get a little up close with some of them Pure fun.
There aren't very many animals. Took about an hour to walk through whole zoo while stopping at each enclosure for a few minutes. Very few reptiles also.
This zoo is a hidden gem! Although it is smaller than a national or city zoo, it is way more personal. There are petting areas with llamas, goats, sheep, donkeys, etc. and you can get up close and personal with many of the animals. They also do daily giraffe feedings which you can hand feed giraffes. During the week there aren't any crowds and it's a great experience. Would very highly recommend going here!
This zoo is a bargain for the price. Our guides were very good during the hour tour. Its not a huge zoo and there obvious cosmetic issues but they do great job on a small budget.
Daughter loves giraffes so of course we took her to feed them. Wasn't crazy about how a few of the cats (Serval?) were housed. Granted, I don't know the whole story, but the thing was pacing the length of the fence back and forth over and over. Just seemed like a really small space for it.
Nice small zoo setting. perfect for younger kids and parents who like a small crowd.
Such a fun little zoo! Big enough space to enjoy all of the animals without weaving through crowds of people, small enough to see all of your favorite exhibits without your kids burning out. Feeding & petting some of the animals was a highlight for us!
Perfect little zoo for young kids! We love it!
Always love to bring kiddos here.
Wonderful place to go with the little guys. Great for a half day trip. Little pricey for what it is, but I’m sure the money is used well fir the animals.
I have been visiting this zoo since I can remember. It has come a very long way! I have always loved that it is like walking around someone's back yard full of wild animals. It's not a big zoo but it's never over crowded and it has huge portions of shade. The best part is how close you can get to some of these animals without getting hurt. And my personal favorite is always feeding Jimmy the giraffe!
Nice for little kids. We come every year. BUT they seem to have exchanged the monkeys (what granddaughter loves most) with rabbits. What a disappointment. B&E Clayton, De
Such a fun place to go. This time I went on a Wednesday afternoon and it felt like I had the whole zoo to myself. The animals are very nice. They have some cool animals for such a small zoo.
We went for my sons birthday! He had a great time and we fed the giraffe's . The park is kept clean and its alot of fun feeding the animals
Very nice place with a good variety of animals. Most exhibits you are about 5 feet away from the cage by a secondary fence so you are able to see most animals close up. Was not crowded, so parking was easy as well being able to see the exhibits.
Great zoo small perfect for families with little ones.
Nice small zoo to take the kids to for a few hours.
A cute little zoo! Perfect for a short day out. Plenty of parking, easy enough for kids to walk, and you can feed the animals! Love this zoo.
Nice small zoo. Animals well taken care of .
Awesome atmosphere cool animals and you can feed lots of them this is an awesome place to take the kids on a bored day!
Staff is super friendly and the zoo is just amazing! Went for zombie paintball and the different Halloween activities which help raise money to feed the animals during the winter. It was hands down the most fun and most scared I have been in a while. They had over 100 volunteers and the props were fantastic. Definitely recommend going next Halloween both for a good cause and for a pee-your-pants scare! Will be visiting soon
Always a nice way to spend an afternoon. Close to home and without the hassle and traffic of getting to the bigger zoos.
Cute zoo and able to feed most pets. Priced just right.
Brought my family here. It really is a wonderful little Zoo. It's especially good to know that they rescue animals that have been abused by other agencies or people. It could use a little cleanup of sorts. The men's room was not the greatest. It's kind of like a mom and pop Zoo. A person in our party commented that it was a little pricey but it is good to remember that this place rescues rare animals and the admission price goes to help pay for their care and upkeep.
We love the Plumpton Zoo. It's great for kids, especially young ones. My daughter was two the first time that we visited, and she loved feeding many of the animals. We bought a membership on our next trip because it's cost effective if you're going more than three times in a year. Feeding the giraffes was $5 for non-member and $3 for members. Definitely go in the morning when many of the animals are getting fed - that is when they are the most active.
Great family zoo! All the staff were very nice and friendly. You can feed some of the animals so the kids loved that. It was bigger then I thought and had lots of great animals to see that were all rescued. It was just all around a great experience we will be back soon
LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Took my wife there for her birthday and we got to see Frankie and Ringo-love those big boys! We met them when they were just cubs, and now are all grown up. Also got to meet Penny and Potter which was a huge treat for us. I wish they all had more room to run, but completely understand the economics involved. They do a great job with what they have. Heart felt thanks to the staff for taking such wonderful care of everyone!
My experience here was really cool. I took my nephew here to see all the animals. They had someone doing face painting for kids. Everything seemed good, until we started seeing a lot of the animals pacing back and forth especially the bears and the foxes. They seemed stressed out and it was very hot outside. Some of their enclosures were way too small, but I guess that’s most zoo’s you go to anyways. I just noticed small things like the alligator was in a shack/small building type of place with barely any water and Capuchin monkey had fur missing above his tail and on his tail. I still enjoyed the zoo, I just hate to see some of the animals stressed.
This was a nice smaller zoo. Not overly crowded or overly priced to get in. The animals were well taken care. My son definitely enjoyed feeding the alpacas, donkeys, llamas, basically any animal that he could. The map out lines which animals can be fed. The animal food can be purchased at the entrance and it wasn't a bad price. We got the large cups which lasted us 4 hours and they were $5 a piece. One bit of info that I think they should have available on the website and Facebook page is that the giraffe feeding is cash only and they only have one feeding a day. We stood in line to feed the giraffes but they weren't hungry and we didn't want to force them to eat for our pleasure. The teenagers running the entrance and concession stand were average teenagers. You could tell they didn't really want to be there and we half pleasant while interacting with us. I like that most of the animals are rescued. You get what you pay for and in this case you get a decent day out with the family for a good price. We'll definitely be visiting again.
This was such an amazing experience. You have the opportunity to get up close to these animals and even get to feed them for a nominal fee! We will definitely be going back.
A great place to bring kids to see animals!
I don't like the fact that the animals never have clean water!!! Overall it's a smaller zoo but still a nice place to visit.
Took my 9 year old daughter and we had a nice time. It's not the biggest zoo or the fanciest but it is fun and they have a decent selection of animals to see.
It was okay, a bit pricey for the hour my kids could get out of it.
My six year old liked it and enjoy it as well. It was good. The only thing is it is a very small zoo and needs some updating, no restaurants are there, only a small gift shop and a small snack store. They do have a picnic area. Good for a quick visit with younger children.
I give this a strong 4, but it was cold (not your fault) and the animals were kinda scary.. Oh well, strong 4.
Love this zoo, I have been coming here since I was a kid. Cant beat the price
I have been coming to Plumpton Park Zoo for many years I have watch this place come from nothing to an amazing zoo it's a small Zoo but at the same time you can always tell that these people take care of these animals. There are alot of animals you can pet and feed. It's a great place to come of any age. Plus they have a picnic area and playground if you want to bring your lunch or buy lunch there. Before you leave don't forget to check out the gift shop really cool items inside.
Small zoo very nice .you can tell they are working hard to make the place better
Really nice but will go back when its cooler and hope the animals are more active.
Our son always loves visiting Plumpton Park Zoo and feeding the animals. It usually takes us an hour or two to get through it all.
Big enough and small enough...nice zoo.
A welcoming and enviting place to meet some true wild-life. Location is a short distance off I-95 in the countryside. Zoo has a local farm feel with interesting collection of animals to include a giraffe exhibit bears to mention the highlights of our visit. Some animals (donkeys, alpacas, etc... ) were available to be fed with food available at the entrance allowing for interaction with those animals. The zoo as a whole seems to be in a state of growth/development which does give a small sense of incompleteness. At the same time the quality of improvement shows you that the is a drive by the owners/operators to improve the experience. Definitely a recommended short day outage from he sorounding area.
It was great I've never been so close to bears in my life until today it was a great experience
Great time. Animals are a joy to visit. Nice variety at PP Zoo. Must see Jimmy the Giraffe.
They are working on making the exhibits better for the animals. They are moving in the right direction.
Nice zoo, animals too small of an enclosure
The best zoo I've been to in years! The staff are warm and welcoming! I recieved the most humbling and enriching tour, that I greatly appreciated and will treasure forever! Sheryl a staff member from the zoo was so knowledgeable about each animal, as she gave their back story, I fell in love. She has a special connection with each animal and her love and genuine concern for each animal was showed as we walked through the zoo. I highly recommend you make a visit to Plumpton Park Zoo. You truly are in for a treat
What small, precious gem this place is! Yes, it could use a bit more maintenance and design prowess, but hey, the animals were out and about...and the admission wasn't much. Parking was plentiful and there were no crowds on this sunny early spring weekend. You can buy a cup of feed and go around the zoo feeding some of the more domesticated animals, so for that part alone they'll score points with the kids. No worries, sanitation stations are densely distributed around the park, too. We'll definitely be back soon!
It's a great little zoo. You can feed and pet some of the animals and there are peacocks roaming around. It's a nice place for families with younger kids who can't do long day trips to places.
Pleasingly surprised at how many different animals they have. All healthy too!
Too many exhibits closed. Same admission price.
After seeing the response from the place, and researching it....I retract my original review. I apologize for not thinking before I speak.
Great place! Very family friendly. Get the feel of a mom and pop shop but a zoo.
Love taking the grandkids there to feed the animals
Nice private zoo. Not expensive and my kids loved it. Its enough to spend a few hours walking around and looking at the animals. You can also feed some of them and my kids love that.
The Place very cool ! just dont like Zoo :)
This zoo is doing a fantastic job for the animals! All are happy, healthy and beautiful!
While smaller than the Philly Zoo, I was very impressed at the variety of animals at Plumpton Park. Exhibits were well signed with many interesting facts. The paths were clean and nicely shaded. I think one of the biggest stand-outs to me was that all of the animals seemed to be happy and didn't look like they were bored or anxious. Many of them even came right up to the fence for a closer look!
Took my grandson here. We were very surprised at the huge size of this close zoo! All the animals were well cared for and visible. Also has a small gift shop and serves food
A great place to take kids. Lots of diversity and information on the animals. Reptile house is really neat as well. Bring your boots if its wet out because it's an outdoor facility and it can be a little muddy. We'll be back with more visitors.
Overall the zoo was amazing, but the two Burmese pythons SHOULD NOT be kept with the boa constrictor
Great place I bought a season pass
Great for little ones, things are set up at eye level for little children, easy access, allows children to pet a lot of animals. Hi eat variety of animals. Also like that they provided a home for rescued animals.
A nice little zoo. But 14 per adult seems a little to pricey. But still a nice zoo.
Loved Plumpton Park Zoo! It was a perfect day trip with our daughter. Not too big not too crowded, and an amazing variety of animals!
Wasn't very enthusiastic being as though I had just left Brandywine Zoo which was a huge disappointment... but it really was a nice "farm-like" place that had a variety of animals.
Very cute local zoo. Some of the animals have small spaces which is sad. Me and a friend went in winter so there was literally no one there besides us and the keepers. One of the only attractions in our little area, would be great family time.
Very intimate Zoo. Easy to get close to the animals
I think this zoo was amazing. Most of the animals are rescues which to me is huge. You can pet some (horses, goats llamas) also huge plus for me. Very kid friendly small so it's easy to walk the whole thing for someone who might have problems at a bigger zoo
We love this zoo. Peacocks and chickens wander everywhere. The donkeys yell at you for attention. The Alpacas silently judge you as you walk past. The bears play with rocks in their pool. We really liked it.
Nice up in coming zoo
The zoo is so much fun. It is very well maintained, and the animals appear healthy. Wear comfy shoes, and don't forget the sunscreen. I encourage everyone to buy food to feed the animals. It is such fun! Be prepared for a mixture of food dust and animal spit on your hands. A good wash with soap and water will fix that. It is well worth it to have the great memories!
What a great experience!! Our whole family went and were blown away by the place. My daughter even got to feed the giraffes! We will be back often! The staff were all wonderful as well!
This is a reply to your recent post your bears were pacing back and forth your tigers are in a small encasment and you have a huge aligator in what looks like a 1 car garage with a glass window to look thru I think I know stress and depressed when I see it I've worked with animals for years now I wasn't trying to knock you place of business just stating the facts and what I and others on here have observed. I'm sorry I upset you or shamed you on any way but those animals deserve better. And we donated to your tiger box so you can help them with a bigger home. Your welcome
Small, family friendly, good staff and easy to find. Kids love the interaction with some animals.
This has got to be the most depressing zoo I've ever been to. I have no idea why people are giving it good ratings. The enclosures are ridiculously small for a lot of animals and the entire place smelled terrible. There would be large enclosures for animals like goats, but other animals that need more space had smaller enclosures. The main culprits here were the camels, prairie dogs, and bears - but the others weren't much better. There were turtles living in kiddie pools. Please, please don't give this place your money. I feel terrible that I did. There are plenty of smaller zoos that manage to take care of their animals and not be disgusting. This place needs to be shut down.
Yes, this is a small zoo that takes pride and care to their animals. Noticed a reviewer gave a low score because of not having restaurant and shops? Go to North East if you want to eat and shop. This is a place where all ages can come and visit the lovely animals. Check their website or FB page for special events. They have them so often and love to support them!
A excellent zoo to take the kids to .. it's a lil pricy but well worth it ..
Very nice had a great time it was clean animals had water and food that looked healthy. The animals look healthy also .Park staff were very nice and all had smiles and kind words when working with the animals or answering questions for the visitors . I cant wate to go again. Thank you to every one at plumpton park for all your love care and dedication to these wonderfull animals .
Nice smaller zoo. My young grandkids like to go.
Quaint little zoo. You get to see the animals up close.
It is a small zoo. Inexpensive and you are able to feed the animals.
An excellent small zoo without the crowds.
Perfect place for a family with Babies or Toddlers. Never knew this place existed until 3 weeks ago. I will be going back every year for the Christmas tradition of walking around in the dark with Christmas lights. We absolutely loved it!!!
OVERALL, WE ENJOYED THE DAY I WOULD RETURN. COME SUPPORT OR DONATE. The staff wasn't the friendliest; matter of fact, some were just rude EXCEPT the young lady who paints faces. Along with the other guests, she was engaging, inviting & informative. 4 people (two adults/two children) cost almost $50. I was shocked but didnt mind. It's been over 6years since I've been to a zoo. I got tired of supporting the abuse of animals for human entertainment. UNTIL, I came to this zoo. The animals are free & able to walk around. You can purchase food to feed SPECIFIC animals; so; read the signs. The hand out maps are outdated & they would benefit in having better signage throughout the zoo. The Reptile & Bird Center, in my opinion, needs expanding & separation. That part of the zoo is a little depressing. Maybe seperate the birds from the reptiles. It was so dark & gloomy. Make sure you go & see the cockatoo. Sign says it bites but it just wanted company & loving touches. The staff may not be friendly but I can tell they are loving & compassionate to the animals.
Cant get any better than Plumpton. Staff is great and working hard. The animals are well cared for, up close, and love being fed. Make sure to catch the feeding of Jimmie and his new lady friend. Fantastic!
Fare entry price..no.of animals to see...kids love it!!Had a great time!!
Zoo Lights! Christmas lights all around the zoo... an awesome musical light show outside Jimmy's house... lots of fun for the whole family... worth the visit for sure! (photo of bears not taken during zoo lights visit)
It's a great Zoo to take small children without all the traffic.
Nice little zoo to take the kids to. Has quite a few animals that you can feed and touch like donkeys and goats. The Tiger's are hard to see due to the way the containment is set up. It is a small zoo, and you can get through it fairly quickly, even if you're taking your time. Even though it's small, they have some cool animals like bears, bison, camels, tigers, and so on. It makes for a fun couple hours of family time.
My son loved it. It was for a field trip when school was in. It was rainy that day. Only thing I wasn't impressed with was some of the areas really needed a cleaning. His favorite was the relaxing bear in the tub. And the wolves getting fed. The kids got pellets to feed some of the animals. The giraffe's observation area was closed. The peacock's were loose which my son loved. He got to touch his feathers in passing. Try explaining to your son why the brightly colored (male) peacock was chasing a hen around...haha. We missed the gift shop because it's kinda hidden. Other than that it was a great little zoo.
This is the perfect place to spend time with your family. especially if you have toddlers and younger.
Try to go on a nice dry day as walkways can get a bit messy. I was impressed with the number of animals that they had on display...wasn't expecting such a wonderful assortment. Worth a look!
A great place for young kids learn about animals. The zoo offers different kinds of goats and llamas, giraffes, Bison, and a rare Siberian Tiger. Peacocks roam around the grounds revealing their masterful tail feather display. They also gave a a massive python in the reptile hut. Little ones can feed the goats, llamas, and little deer. I think it is great learning experience for little kids and adults too.
Nice had to wait for the raven to stop before we go out of our cars. The boys loved it.
Relatives moved into the Rising Sun area, so we immediately made a trip to the zoo in 2014; we LOVED it--kind of a meandering feel to the place, lots of places to stroll and sit and enjoy the scenery and animals. Even a bald cypress tree to see. Only drawback was handicapped accessibility; when we mentioned it, we were assured the owners were working on making it more handicapped friendly. Fast forward four years. Didn't see the watusi bull. No apparent paths to walk; lots of fences and gates instead. Many more animals, but no improvement in the enclosures. Instead of climbing up to meet Jimmy face to face, as used to be the option, those wanting to visit the giraffes can't get near them, unless it's feeding time (and you have to pay $5 to feed them--WAY overpriced). And the paths were gravel covered, muddy and virtually impassable to anyone in a wheelchair. I had talked up the zoo to all the family and took relatives with me this time around; we won't return. The price was outrageous (especially for seniors) for the size of the zoo, as well.
Love this place! They have a wide variety of animals that are all in excellent health and very clean and upkept cages.
We have loved this zoo for more than 30 years. Now I get to take my Grandchildren.
Small but fun zoo,excellent staff
Great country zoo. Been going for years and boys love it. Has been slowly getting bigger with more displays.
Good day. Close to home.
I visited this zoo many years ago. I found it had a good number of animals but not overwhelming.
Was fun clean staff was very nice
Best zoo in the whole area not usually to crowded so ur not rushed with the animals. Animals seem to be taken care of well would reccomend this place to anybody definitely the best zoo not in a major city
Very small and intimate, not commercialized. They had animals from lions, giraffes, goats to turtles.. something for everybody. We loved it! Pack a lunch, they just have a small snack bar.
Just renewed my membership here. My daughter and I love spending time here.
Went August 3rd to this depressing zoo, almost feel guilty for paying 15 dollars to get in. A lot of the animals had to small enclosures for them. Poor bear kept pacing back and forth, birds in too small cages, turtle in a kiddy pool who couldn't get out of a rock he was hiding under. These poor animals look like they are starving and begging for someone's attention. The poor alligator on the outside had a tiny pool and they had one on the inside as well who was basically in a shed sized enclosure. The sickening thing to me is there was signs that would say rescue, there not rescued... your making there lives worse. Also saying signs that say will bite, I would bite you too if you put me in a small cage like that. Please for the love of god shut down and give these animals to far better homes, you guys are unstable to take care of these beautiful animals. Time to shut down! They even put in one of there responses to there negative reviews about pacing is stress related, yea your poor bear and bobcat are very stressed and it makes me sick. Hope your shut down for good
Great zoo!! Big enough to make it worth the trip but small enough where you cam take little kids and still have fun. And it's not too expensive!
Affordable and fun zoo experience. Great and affordable food available on site with seating for convenient lunch. Great variety of animals, all of which seemed relatively comfortable in their enclosures, even on the hot day we visited. Enclosures for large mammals like tigers and bears were sort of small but well maintained. Most animals were rescues and many animals could be fed by hand by patrons. My three year old loved it. We'll definitely be back. Try the hotdogs!
Great staff and there is plenty to do and see and the animals are adorable. Me and my kids loved feeding the animals and seeing the peacocks roam freely.
Feels like you walked right into "We Bought A Zoo" A lot of the animals are rescued which always makes one feel better about seeing animals caged for entertainment.
My son really enjoy the zoo at a safe distance.going to be a memory 5hat last a life time
Super fun little zoo, great for younger kids
Great place. The animals are well taken care. My family and I had a wonderful time. The white bangle tiger is absolutely beautiful. They also have a wide variety of animals and it's a very down to earth kind of place. It's comfortable and you get a more personal experience at PPZ. Will be visiting again and again.
Great destination with the kids that has a pretty good diversity of animals!
Great place to take kids when you don't want to head to Philly and spend a ton of money. Kids are able to pet some of the animals and can even feed them food pellets purchased at the ticket window. Inexpensive for adults. But still fun to walk about. Our toddler had a great time seeing all the animals and petting the goats.
Some of the animals' water was old or real low and it was 90+ degrees. O e if the alpaccas was very obviously I'll and just laying out in the open
My little grandson had a wonderful time! Love my Boo Boo!!!
It was nice for us but the animals look so sad and depressed
Very nice, small zoo!!
Nice cute little zoo. Not expensive and close to home. Great way to spend an afternoon.
Granddaughter had a great time. The animals were very active. The people were pleasant as well
This zoo is the best short day out with our grandkids in the area!! It’s clean, staff is so friendly and unbelievably easy to park. Small enough to walk the whole zoo but variety of beautiful animals keeps it interesting!!
Perfect day trip for toddlers and pre schoolers Just enough walking for their age. Brings those picture book animals to life.!
They have brought back their Zoo Lights experience in 2018 which was pretty cool. It was an opportunity to see the animals at night. Many of the animals are mobile at night rather than laying in a corner of their cage. They feed the tigers in front of you at this specific event which is cool but the highlight was the giraffe house. They had cookies and hot chocolate available there along with zoo keepers and volunteers to answer questions about the animals. My only complaint is, I wish they had more lights in some areas so we could see better.
This zoo was perfect for my 7 month old daughter! She loved it. There was just enough to look at and do for her attention span. Very pleased that it was stroller friendly as well. Animals for the most part seemed happy though some I noticed were limping and had minor cuts. Absolutely loved feeding the animals and experiencing the free roam roosters and peacocks!! The reasons why I only have this a four star and not five are: 1. The parking is limited...get there early!!! 2. There is a rabbit exhibit that needs attention (not one of the giant rabbits, but the smaller brown and black one). The fencing around this rabbit's hutch is about 3 feet high. Please make this fence higher, as a rabbit can easily jump three feet! I dont want this poor thing to escape and get hurt. Also...rabbits should have a bowl to drink from, not a bottle.
Cool zoo. Some animals could use more room though.
Had fun here as a chaperone for my sons school. My son loved it.
Very neat and different animals. Very small habitats though which made me sad. Otherwise very cool. Perfect for kids and family.
Very ran down over priced "Zoo". My toddler enjoyed it but we finished in about 30 minutes and saw all there was to see. Several of the same animals. Goats we're very aggressive. There is NO petting zoo and you can't really see alot of the animals. The giraffe feeding section was also closed. And the little bit of things they have as keepsakes we're insanely overpriced. Just don't go expecting much .. my toddler was happy so I gave it two stars.
Nice local Zoo, I have been here a few times and will be back again.
I like the zoo, it's a good place to walk and relax seeing the animal.
While not the same caliber of experience as, say, the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, this zoo is definitely worth a visit. In many ways, it's more of a petting zoo and lacks a great deal of exotic animals, but you can get closer to most of the animals and younger kids will certainly enjoy it. There is a more intimate feel and a lot of shade from trees. I often describe it to friends as a nice park that happens to also have animals. As long as your expectations are reasonable, you'll have a good time. Peacocks roam the park freely and provide some additional fun.
Not crowded. Nice selection of animals.
My favorite zoo in the world, I love the animal they are so adorable and also super friendly.
Small enclosures for large animals. No staff interaction. No information on the rescued animals. Very run down.
This zoo has lots of shade. It isn’t big so it is great for young families and grandparents. You can get close to the animals and watch them. It’s not crowded. Lots of interesting domesticated animals like Scottish cows. Great parrots!
Variety of animals with some barnyard animals you can pet and feed. Wonderful place to bring kids for a relaxing fun-filled day without having to deal with all the stress and traffic that comes with visiting the city zoo!
It's small and doable in one day, especially with little ones.
Great place to take the kids on a beautiful day..
Great small zoo without all the crowds and plenty to see and do. Absolutely great place to take the family.
What a nicely hidden little gem. My daughter and I loved it and got to see bears wrestling and a baby llama being born right in front of us. Hope to come back next time we're down that way.
For a small rural zoo, this place impressed us with exotic animals (2 beautiful, active, and easily viewed tigers, jackals, cougar, bears) and interesting ones we could touch (alpacas, sheep, goats). The free-roaming peafowl are fun to watch and follow around. An excellent place to spend a couple hours.
Adorable little zoo.
Great time here it's never crowded and plenty of animals. Love coming back on nice days.
Cute and local zoo that is doing good things. You can feed a lot of the animals which is always fun, including the giraffes! Good price for tickets and feed. You see where your money is going.
Its an ok small zoo to takes little ones to. Has animals to feed like goats and alpacas.
