Love this "pocket park" because of the marina. Not the fanciest but way less snotty than others. Not busy, but genuine "boat people" come here who seem to enjoy every human being they encounter.

If you are looking for a park that gets you completely away from the bustle of the city this is it. Great for getting little ones to play outside, skip rocks on the river or run the trails. Trails are well maintained and easy to follow. Quick hikes are plentiful although just like anywhere when it rains the mud is too. Add in the colonial history farm and you have a great way to spend a day outside for free.

Good fishing. There ìs a pipe or something that will catch your hook about 50 feet out. Reel in fast to avoid losing your hook.

This park is completely filled with trash, there is not a part of in which you can walk along and not see trash. It was very upsetting to see. Never come here after it rains because the each trail turns into puddles that you can not get around. My opinion is that this place really is not worth the time to visit.

Great place to take a family with young kids for an easy outing. Great scenery, view, botany, wildlife, hiking, fishing, colonial farm and heritage breed livestock. Pack a picnic, wear good shoes, and it's a perfect day.

I love this place it’s almost magical, the last time is went was during the summer 2017 I believe or maybe was 2018 anyways it was very peaceful and it wasn’t super packed in terms of ppl... there’s this really cool tunnel which gets completely dark the further you go into it which was both eerie and yet exciting all and all this is a great place to take the family or even go by yourself or with some friends if you like going for walks

Farmington landing is covered in trash and filth, there are WSSC warnings of dumping and not to enter the water. The colonial farm spot was a nice walk and park, but the fishing pier was surrounded by underwater debris and snags.

I love this park. It has a lot of history and I love that they have a village set up with farm animals, and the caretakers live on site. One of the hiking trail takes you along the Potomac River with a view of George Washington's Mount Vernon. It is definitely a place to visit and experience.

Great place to walk around the park with the family. It'd be really hard to get lost there so that makes it quite the family-friendly environment. There are a few farm animals to see while on the premises. I loved the rural feel the park has to it. The couple employees that we came across were very welcoming.

simple fun. free to enter. they have people in the farm that are in character from the late 1700's. these actors are knowledgeable and friendly. there's simple hiking paths and good water views. there's animals like bunnies, chickens, pigs, cows, and horses. don't touch the fences, they're electrified to discourage the animals from escaping. the roads leading to the farm aren't well kept.

Hidden gem in the DMV area. The view of the Potomac and Mt Vernon is lovely! Such a peaceful park ~45 minutes from the city. It is free and plenty of parking, picnic areas, and various trails to the right and left of the parking lot. The trails aren’t long, but if you like to get away from the city, I guarantee that you’ll want to spend the rest of your day here! I didn’t visit the Visitors Center or know if they do formal tours. The farm is open to just walk around on via the various trails. The farm area is not shaded, but some of the trails are. The paths are all gravel, and not the most accessible area. While there is a large picnic area by the parking lot, there are plenty of tables scattered around the farm and trails.

A good place to observe homestead life. There is a nice view by the river. Some short trails, but don't go for the trails! This is a good trip to pair with Fort Washington Park, which is nearby.

I brought my dog along and went straight to the water. Its a nice place in the summer. A lot of wind if you want to do windsurfing (don't know if you can launch from there). Smells salty like the ocean. A lot of trees so you can hang a hammock. My dog loved it. Going back in the winter for a different perspective

Easy trails all around, but lots to see. There are a lot of effort to preserve nature here and there's a lot of events in the park perfect for the family and getting away from fast paced city life. The trails lead you to farms, barns, domesticated livestock, the Potomac river, and wetlands. A small part of the trail also feature laminated info graphics perfect for nurturing a love of learning and nature in kids.

Pretty nice park never crowded.I don't know why seeing where it's located I guess people would rather be inside on the computer or something but that's ok.Nice board walk over a swamp about atleas a 1/4 mile long open fields and woods to. very peaceful place.Being so close to D.C. I'm surprised it's not a big cruising spot but its not.If you like peaceful places I would recommend it especially if you only have one day to get away.It is connected to other parks in southern PG county so you could spend a day just hiking in the woods or bird watching.Its right on the Potomac River.

Hidden gem on the Potomac! Nice federal park, lots of wild life like bald eagles, storks, other water birds, turtles, and beavers, and snakes (non venomous). Also a couple nice areas to cast a line and fish. Boat dock at the far left end of the park.

This was an interesting adventure! A great place to take the kids ... definitely a family place. Well marked paths will take you on small journeys around the land .. some close to the water, some inland .. around a small pond ... a working farm ... plenty of places to take shade or have a picnic. I enjoyed watching the animals and seeing all the different flowers, trees, and sites .. Oh, and you can see Mt. Vernon from the boat dock!

WuZ a great Hike that my Girlfriend & I took on Easter Sunday..Nice walk on a peir like foot bridge that goes for a Quarter mile & when you get off on a trail for at least a mile or So.. Fishing area's through out..Been Coming too this Park for over 25yrs & it's still and Adventure Everytime I go.. Recommend for all for a walk in the park..G

Great place to experience nature with views of the Potomac. So glad this area was preserved. Great ecological benefits. I give four stars oppose to 5 since the path I walked right by the Potomac unfortunately had a LOT of litter; perhaps washing ashore from the river oppose to park visitors, but nonetheless, it needs cleaned up.

Piscataway Park offers a number of very different experiences. It's in a natural setting, there are historical insights into how the early settlers of the area lived and you can go fishing off the pier. They also have various events for kids. It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth it.
