This Park is classified in the category of Park.
Not bad for a state park. Kids had fun in the water and the trails are nice for hiking and biking. Especially for $3 a car...
It was good
It is a very interesting place and a wealth of knowledge is there for many neighborhoods. I will be sure to spread the word about this wonderful museum. A site to remember, a site to learn local history, and a site to feel like family. All neighborhoods please share your history. Reach out and support their efforts and let your neighborhood shine. See you there, Dietra Wynn
Great pier nice little beach
Great location to take friends and family. Beautiful scenery to look at while walking along the beach front. Seems to be a popular location for fishing. Multiples of people were enjoying the day fishing, and several caught fish during the fifteen min I was sitting in a chair enjoying the view. I was there for a wedding. The beach front area had a large, covered area for hosting big events. It was perfect for the hundred and fifty plus people that attended. Near by the main beach front area, there is a place to quickly wash off outside, and about one hundred yards away, there is a larger restroom and clothes changing facility for public use. The wedding was on a Saturday, and the entrance fee for the park was three dollars. Not too bad considering the wonderful view and clean park and trails and beach front that is provided to the public. There was plenty of parking available for cars, trucks, and recreational vehicles. There was a slight bit of road construction near the main parking lot, but it did not impede the flow of traffic. It's just a sign that the park is reinvesting the donations given to them back into the park. Overall I enjoyed my time at North Point State Park. I will return before the season is out. Thank you.
I went to the dog beach today with my 2 children and dog . It was wonderful. The staff was very helpful when I called. They also gave us a map and clear directions when we arrived. The picnic area was clean and shady. ( no trash cans you have to clean up after yourselves ) There was lots of washed up natural debris from recent storms. ( some trash too). The trails were clearly marked and easy to navigate. We saw beautiful butterflies, frogs, heron and other wildlife. The beach was peaceful and we had the area to ourselves. It was a great place to spend an afternoon. The price tag of 3$/ car was a further incentive.
Love love that you can bring your pets
A great time for the family.
This place was clean has lots of pinic tables and grills.. Wasn't too crowded ..and enough beach to enjoy the water and sun
So beautiful and really nice relaxing walks . Wonderful place for a visit by yourself or with family
I love this place. It reminds me of my late wife. You can swim, ride a bike, walk the many trails. Or have a cook out under the pavilion. You could just chill on the beach, or do a little fishing. Its a very nice relaxing park. Its also pretty big. And it is also very clean. You can tell how much people care because its kept so clean. Im so glad tgis park is so close to my home.
Pristine water (nil bacteria counts) swimming, fishing, picnic tables w/ grills (go early).
I love but... the water was really dirty.. but after all it was nice..
THE PARK IS GREAT, THE STAFF IS AWESOME. IT'S EASILY BECOME ONE OF MY FAVORITE" CHILL SPOTS ". I'LL RETURN AGAIN AND AGAIN.
Great place to visit, walk, observe nature and wildlife, photograph and family oriented fun. Go, get out of the car, find a trail and see where it leads...
Had mad fun didnt catch any fish but gotta go again
Fishing is great clean park restrooms available swimming area
Visited in off season. Very pretty and quiet though
Lovely beach . But water did not seem clean.
Water was dirty and Bathroom wast very dirty too
My first time there it was nice
Love the Black Marsh trail!!! I almost hate telling people about it.. amazing birds, snapping turtles, snakes, tons of frogs, beavers, heron, deer, wild edibles, hiking, abonded graffitied buildings, beach shore with amazing water views.. totally flat so bring the kids but wear boots as its always muddy in certain areas. Hidden gem in Baltimore for sure.. oh and pay the entrance fee even if no one is at the booth.. don't be "that guy" ... its $3 before Memorial day and $4 after.. i have filled my envelope with quarters before so no excuses Support these parks people!
Beautiful view. Family friendly. My children didn't want to leave.
Haven't been here for years and finally went for a walk... I was a little disappointed that the Visitors Center was closed. Also, there are not any trash cans around the park. Other than that, it is still a great place to spend time outdoors.
I love to go down there and lay out it's nice it's nice and clean the Sandy Beach
Very beautiful place, it is one of my favorite state parks! Very clean and ample amount of benches and barbecue grills available for public use. Good spot for fishing and peaceful trials.
Very nice park! Lots of grills to cook on. It's also has a small beach and a great fishing area.
Very high phrag, thick transition zone. Reccomend you stay ON the trail.
I hike & bike this park a few times a year. Great trails and all flat. Earthen trails in woods and a paved park road too. Good place to how to mountain bike.
Beautiful well marked trails. Historic landmarks. Water views and a long jetti and fishing pier!
This is one of my happy places. The park is beautiful. Right on the bay. Me and my husband use to walk there. New fishing pier and a beach area. Great for picnics and family get togethers.
Nice park, plenty of shade, picnic tables and bbq grills, there is a beach for swimming
Nice public swimming beach on the Chesapeake Bay. Picnic tables, grills and a covered pavilion. Recommend visiting on a weekday as the weekends can get crowded.
Very nice I Love sitting near the bay listening to the waves come in
Has a small beach, picnic and grilling areas, a large pier, and miles of hiking through forest and marshland. Loved the combination of a beach day with a hike!
Always a nice time here. Meet in mind the Black Marsh trail is flooding a lot this season.
Nice beach, not a lot of people. The water is a little dark in color though. Great for small kids because t&e water isn't that deep unless you go far out.
Love the park, I'll just leave it at that.
Very relaxing. By the water. Can see the Bay Bridge from there. A lot of history. Visitors center. You can have cookout picnics.
Very natural. Restful
Wonderful site for birding.
Is a nice place to have a good time
Gunpowder state park hosted a group night hike. It was great
Great cheap place to just relax and enjoy nature and the beach. Go swimming, go on one of their many nature trails and check their Museum witch by the way, most people didn't even know that had a museum! Love looking threw the pictures from the past 200 years! Just all around great place!
Great place to fish...
It used to be nice when you could get in. Now it's 99% illegal Mexicans in there and you can't get in
Great Veiw of the Bay
It was good like allways
A nice place to let the kids run as well as a beautiful fishing pier.grills and tables to cook.lots of trails to explore.
Historical photos show that this was once a beautiful park. However, today it is poorly maintained and much of it is in need of repair. The water looked clean and the beach could be nice but there was crud on the beach. The picnic tables were in terrible condition and so were the grills. The old trolley building is covered with mold and mildew. The pier was in relatively good condition....it was the only thing that appeared in good condition.
North Point Park or as my Mom calls it Black marsh holds very special place in my heart and hundreds of child hood memories.
This park has lots of history and is beautiful. Great for the whole family. There is a fishing Pier that was just remodeled and is beautiful. They have a beach for the children to play and swim. There are 2 gazebos 1 big and 1 small, there are grills all though the park for grilling, and picnic tables everywhere. The price to get in is $4 a car. You do need to bring your own trash bags, you do not have to take the bays they will dispose of the trash. The park is open till 8 p.m. North Point Park is a great place for parties weddings or just a visit to a park.
I've been going here since the early 90s, back when I was a little kid. One of my favorite places to go to to unwind. Quiet, easy trails, nice land pier. And wild animal. If you're lucky you'll spot the bald eagle family that lives there.
From the little time I spent there, it is worth going to. There are at least two piers, one wooden and one concrete with a brick path. The latter was more like a peninsula as it was so long. There is a very large pavilion for events, a lot of parking. Places for fishing. The water views are amazing and there is a small beach area. There were no swimmers in the water while I was there so I have no comment on that. I would return under different circumstances with more time to explore.
A great secret place it seems. Once you get there you'll see its a good place to have a cookout with the grilles they have there along the waterfront. Fantastic biking and hiking trails, all flat terrain. Welcome Center has info with Park Rangers on duty. Clean restrooms too!
I love all the trails. The bathrooms are kept clean. The original
Awesome place! This is the 2nd season that myself & family have been going. Clean for the most part. Occasionally find trash on the sand, grass, or in the water. Otherwise, well kept. The water is usually warm! The rocks & seaweed at the shoreline are obnoxious & the rocks will hurt your feet. Started going the end of May this season & the water has been so warm. I can go far out into the water & STILL be only up to my waist. I am 5'3". My niece, nephews & grandson absolutely love it there. Park rangers are always around & will get you out of the water if the weather looks ominous.
Not expensive and the kids love to swim and food on the grill
I see a needle laying around everytime I go. I wouldn't swim in the water PERIOD. not only does it look disgusting but there are so many needles around do NOT let your kids swim there. Talk about infections and the possibility of contracting something. Sad it could be a really nice park. Also they have a fountain that's never working and attracts so many mosquitos.
Visited on the best day of the year so far....it was gorgeous!!
Water was dirty, beach full of sticks and trash, guy fishing in the swimming area, people were rude. Won't be going back.
This visit had a few off leash dogs although the beach area is dog restricted (mine is a service dog). Didn't see one trash can either. The scenery and the fountain is nice.
It's ok just bring mosquito repellent during the summer
Nice family-friendly park
Interesting beach and trails to spend a few hours. Beach was easy to get to but no lifeguards and water was shallow but murky. Nice jetty for walking out far or fishing. Several Porta-potties but no restrooms. Lots of DNR police patrolling the beach. Space for large families who were grilling and picnicking.
Let me start off by saying I do love this place. After the incident yesterday, I would never take an eye off of my child there. There was an older man there that would not stay away from everyone's children. When he was asked if any of the kids were his he said no...I'm just tryi g to wear these little sexy monkeys out!! He was there alone, changed his clothes 3 times, and when it was brought to the rangers attention they did nothing! What if this guy was a registered sex offender? Everyone needs to speak up about things like this. There are so many children there that were at risk and if we just turn our head for one minute someone like that could take or touch a child!! The situation should've been taken care of by the rangers. I was told that I couldn't even write an incident report. How is anyone going to be able to put a stop to things like this if we cant report it? I'm very disappointed about this and people need to speak up to keep our children safe at a fun place for the summer.
Nice place to go fishing at good people be around atmospheres excellent
Expansive state park with multiple trails to walk, in my humble opinion, ranging from easy/quick to medium level. Picnic and beach areas with plenty of tables under a decent sized pavilion as well as out in the open. The water is accessible to waders and swimmers (with NO LIFEGUARD on duty at the park, so swim at your own risk). Nice gazebo space that requires a reservation for private functions. LONG 1,000 foot pier (Crystal Pier) that stretches into the bay with a great view. You'll find an old trolley station (transformed into the aforementioned pavilion), a large fountain/water feature, and a Visitor's Center. Away from the beach there is a swimmer's shower where you can rinse off, which is VERY appreciated! My family and I truly enjoy our time whenever we visit North Point State Park, whether in the spring before the "season" begins, the summer at the height of activity, or the fall when everything is cooling down.
This park is amazing, beautiful and clean. The porta pots were disgusting, but is humans for you. They might want to clean them sooner than once a week or however many times they do clean then. Great walking trails.
It was a beautiful day and beautiful experience with friendly people everywhere I loved it
Beautiful park with alot history
Great family place swimming picnic fishing and walking trails we we're so busy we forgot to take pictures. All this for 4 bucks only down fall we're so.e of the trashy like guests most were polite and respectful but there were a good hadful who were not and left trash everywhere
Great place to take the kids
It was beautiful by the water. Space to sit down and eat Information center.
dont wear a light colored bathing suit. muddy water!
Quiet on an October Friday. Lovely pier, people fishing. Ample parking.
I am so in love with the view, this place is so chills and relaxing.
A nice park. It has forest, it has old ruins, it has a beach. Good family park with something for everyone. Plus unlike other staye parks they charge per car not person.
Needs concrete maintenence so park goers don't trip and fall. The fountain is beautiful but I'm not sure why it is full of algae. It'd be a perfect shady photo spot if not for the lack of fountain maintenence. Your visitor center employees need to smile and be welcoming. I can't step into a visitors center in Pennsylvania without an eager and energetic employee saying hello and offering any kind of help or information about the park or its history. Otherwise, this park definitely has natural beauty if you are one to appreciate that kind of thing.
This park is awesome. It's got so much! There's a beach, a 1,000 foot pier, boat slips, peaceful, well maintained walking trails, wildlife, plant life, plenty of picnic tables and grills, and even a museum that contains the entire history of the park and the area, all the way back before the revolutionary war. Definitely will come back. I love that I live near here!
Very nice place to enjoy
Always a pleasent experience!
It was chill. We bring food and used the provided grills, and stayed all day. Also it's free for military personnel.
Love it here been goin here for over 20 yrs now always have a great time tables water sand... Awesome days!!!
I live between north point state park and the dungeons, I love it here, real ppl,and water surrounded by woods, what's not to like.
Very peaceful here.
I had a good time with the kids
Very good fishing , caught 2 Catfish
Clean, peaceful, nice beach to enjoy the day.
Water was a bit slimy. overcrowded in the Beach area but overall a nice good scenery relaxing place
My son and I loved the park and had one of the best fishing experiences ever and today is my birthday too!
In my opinion my family and I love this park the water isn't to deep [at the shore] the park is clean, only thing is that you have to take your trash and dump it somewhere else..other than that it's great for BBQ and enjoying a great time.
We have visited the park several times this summer. You swim at your own risk there are plenty of tables and grills to cook on. It is a long walk from the parking lot to the beach though. The beach is never crowded and is clean relaxing
Nice place for picnic and water’s view. Saw few people fishing there. Did not know such a nice place existed so close to Baltimore. Good rest room facilities near the historic fountains.
Being from New York and now whether in Maryland this is absolutely of gorgest state park
Best time is early when Park open for meditation and quietness.
Excellent bay views with 2 large recreational piers.
Nice park. Well marked trails. Good parking and bathrooms
Loved taking nature walks there
Pretty decent. Its open from 8am or 9am til sunset. It only cost $4 per car load for Md residents. And $6 a car loan for non Md residents. The park and trails are gorgeous for where it's located. The beach is decent, no lifeguard on duty tho. You can grill out for free at the random picnic tables spread along the beach. They also have pavilions you can rent with a lot of space and picnic tables. There are no trash cans so you must bring trash bags with you if you bring stuff. All in all its a pretty decent place to go to with the kids or friends and chill for a day in the water, cooking out, fishing or hiking.
Beautiful place..awesome egg hunt..nicest volunteers!!
I really enjoyed myself
The view was beautiful.
We love going to the beach there
Love this place!!... Its so peacefull and serene :)
Love the trails, love the waterfront, love the walk out on the pier, love the birding, love the swamp. State park fees though. No resident break.
HAD AN AWESOME TIME CELEBRATING MY GRANDDAUGHTER'S 13 th BIRTHDAY. CLEAN PLACE A LOT OF BENCHES AND COOK OUT GRILLS. LITTLE SWIMMING AREA ON THE BEACH. GREAT FISHING KIDS 16 AND UNDER FREE TO FISH OFF THE PIER.
A treasure tucked away in SE Baltimore county.
Beautiful hiking trails and lots of historical sites. Great for a date.
Environmental protected marshland. Beautiful any time of the yr. Beavers & their dams, herons, frogs, turtles, & many other animals. Park is a historical site too. An amusement park was there 100 yrs ago. The pavilion is still there where the trolley would pick up passengers. In the visitor center there are pictures of the rides, restaurant, & dance hall that used to be there.
A lot of fun. Great place for the family, grilling, and fun. 3 dollars per car on weekdays and 4 dollars on weekend.
Nice place to go relax. They also fixed up the jetty with a nice sidewalk and benches. They also have a fishing pier and a beach for swimming. Take a fishing pole and a child and go fishing.
This is a great park! Peaceful and a great find.
Two different parks. One beach, picnic area, etc. One nature park. Sometimes the nature park has everything (particularly little blue herons), sometimes nothing, and often in between. I go there every year to take pictures, so I must like it.
Shouldn't charge to see GODS Wonder
Fun park for the whole family. Beach was nice plenty of space for grilling and tables, right on the water.
Super chill park, especially nice if you're just looking for an easy, unpretentious stroll in some beautiful scenery. it used to be a garden amusement park, so u can see the ruins from that.
