Here you will be able to see the information of real people like you who consumed the products of North Arundel Aquatic Center (Park) in the area close to the state of Maryland.
Nowadays this business has a rating of 3.6 stars over 5 and that score was based on 169 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is quite positive, and it's founded on a very large number of opinions, so we may be pretty sure that the rating is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are satisfied with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place evaluations when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Park belongs to the category of Aquatic centre.
1 stars just for great location other then that not great. First and last time here. There is no fans in the pool area so if ur not in the pool then u will feel like ur in the hell. There is no exhaust system to take the bleach smell out of the building. Service dog or not if there are kids playing there should be no dogs allowed but in this facility they allowed dogs in the pool area. 150 people at one time in the small pool area is crazy.
People at the front desk are not polite. I understand that an aquatic center serving the public must be WELCOMING at all times.
Had my daughter's birthday party here. Staff were extremely rude. Manager was unpleasant. No customer service experience whatsoever. Overall bad experience for such a special occasion.
It’s very enjoyable for kids and they also have birthday parties there
Customer sucks!!!! Showed pure racism and discrimination
A lifeguard asked me If I paid to do laps.
Had a great time!! The lifeguards are very attentive. The staff is friendly. Most importantly this place is spotless. The price is also fair.
Overpriced and crowded. When I went there the line for the waterslide took me 17 minutes. (I know cause I had a swim watch.) The whirlpool was so crowded that everyone was bumping into each other. There was so many people you couldn't even swim without bumpibumping into people. Also staff was very VERY rude.
Not worth the money. Glenn Dale Splash Park in PG county is the same price for a FULL day of swimming and fun, not a pathetic two hours.
This place is a blast for kids! They love the big twisty waterslide, and the wading pool with its small slide keeps the tots occupied. Our kids have benefited from the fun summer camp program as well as their swimming lessons.
I hate it. It was very unprofessional. The chlorine smell burned my eyes.
Loved this place...i will be going more often
Nice place for a family fun day; water is pleasant year-round.
The staff sucks and to work there is terrible I wouldn't advise to go this pool ever. The head manager is very unprofessional. The pools in PG County are alot better.
Fun to swim but NO GYMS
I give it a five because it was so much fun and it was a lot of stuff to do and my favorite thing there is the orange slide.
The facility is clean. I can usually get a lane., And I have found the staff to be polite and friendly. The only thing I don't like is having to pay fifty cents each time I opt to secure a locker. I've noticed that most people take a chance and don't even bother. It would be a lot more convenient and customer friendly to make it possible for everyone to bring their own lock.
Great place for water aerobics.
$20 for our family for only 2 hrs? I understand why they do this since it’s not very big and can get crowded but that $20 is WITH discounts. I’d happily pay $20 for more time. I was planning on swimming laps while my older kids played. Turns out you have to pay for THAT pool separately. That’s where they lost me. Oh and don’t forget $ to use the lockers too!
Its really fun to play in the water and splash around but there isn't enough space for me to swim in. It is very crowded and can use some space. Swimming in the lanes are fine but maybe swishing around the place would be better.
Employees fail to tell me that my son was too young to get into the pool after I paid and its plenty of other younger children in the pool but they only said something to me. I think is very unprofessional and I would not recommend this pool to anyone
I haven't gone there Yet
I was thinking about bringing my kids here but since my son who wears swim diapers can't get in I will not that's discrimination ... and from reading other reviews about the rudeness I will take my money else where
Crappy place only allowed to use one of the pool would not recommend for people over 8 years or below 60.
Its so safe and amazing and opens 1 to 4:15
The staff at front desk extremely impolite.
This is a great place to swim & take kids but the front desk staff are rude when you have questions.
Had a great day with out kids staff and lifeguards were on the job! HAPPY
It's small but ok. The pool is in door and is relatively clean. Large parking space and lot. A lot of indoor and out door seating. Warm water is actually warm. Friendly staff.
This center is too strict. I completely understand having rules in place to make sure everyone stay safe. But one rule I don't understand is why you must stay on one side of the center the whole time during your visit. So for anyone that decide to come here please be mindful that you have to choose between being in the lap pool or the family center side the whole time. They will expect you to stay on that side the whole time. So no you will not be able to check up on any family members or friends if they are on the family center side. If you do they will tell you to go on that side for the rest of the time you're there. I will not be coming back because of this stupid rule.
Really nice indoor facility with reasonable prices even if you do not belong to the association. The water park area is big enough that the smaller children won't get bored. There are lanes marked off just for swimming. There are showers and a locker room to hold your things. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are different lessons being given and it is nice to see how engaged the instructors are with the children.
Bad I pay 2 hours they give one bud services really
Rudeness, lack of respect and being inconsiderate of customers is the rule when customers don't have any choice.
I like the lap lanes during the winter months. It is nice to have a hot tub to relax my muscles after my 40-45 minute lap swim. I do find the staff to be very rude. The locker rooms are usually unclean, but manageable with a pair of flip flops. It used to be nicer the first few years it was open, but I found once people from outside AA Co came more often it became harder to swim laps without leisure swimmers getting in the way. The last two times I went I found it to be better because they charge extra for those from outside AA Co. The water temperature is usually perfect for both lap and leisure pools. However, I will not shower or use the bathrooms because of the cleanliness factor. Again, that has been more in the last three years than prior. Later in the day is perfect if you are a lap swimmer.
Its fun for kids and has an average price. I love that grown ups can swim in lanes but the children can't. It could use some space because it gets very, very crouded!
Don't like that there's a age range for the pool. Most people have kids who are if age to go in and another child who's not.. Can't expect a parent to live there child with someone or leave a child alone in the water cause the other child can't get it... There needs to be a change, open up a kiddie pool area for the little ones.
It was very stinky. My children’s eyes were hurting afterwards and the staff was VERY RUDE!!
This place is a very friendly place for family friends and more,it is set up perfectly for kids and the swirling pool is fun
Love it
The lifeguards don’t watch people and pay attention to people. When I was there people almost drowned
Great place for kids and parents! Pool was clean, and kids had a blast!
Water park is great. Just need to uphold the no wet bodies in the main hallway rule
Great place for swimming don't listen to the Google how busy is it chart it is always more crowded
I was pretty much scammed at this location. There is a family pass that costs about $70.00 for 20 times. This is a one adult and one child only pass.....so heres the problem, when my son and I went to the pool, they punched twice on the twenty slots! I complained at the front desk and even to the managers and they rudely stated that I needed to properly read the policy on the site in regards to the family pass. The employees stated that it was a 20 times pass, online states that it is a 20 times pass, and on the card it states it is a 20 times pass. But we can only go 10 times! I asked for a refund for being tricked but the manager stated that it was my fault for not reading properly and refused to give a refund. Although the pools are great, because of the terrible management and customer service, it is a one star.
Water park here is great for kids 3+. No kids allowed that are not potty trained. 10-12 lanes for swimming plus the water slide and Park area. Lessons for young and old here.
I really like the facilities. I wish the desk staff didn't appear to be confused about how to collect payment almost every time I go though...
I give the place a bad review because they do not allow kids under 3years old to swim which I find stupid because it’s for kids to have fun so I don’t not recommend this places if you have children under 3 years old ...
My son is here today and love the indoor swim park
I give the indoor waterpark 5 stars because when I went there it wasn't loud it was calm unlike how other people say it was loud for there experience but for me it was calm and. I loved the whirlpool spot in the pool it was so much fun but it was a struggle to get out of the whirlpool. Also the water slide there was HUGE but sadly I didn't get to go on it because I had to go home and also IF YOU WANT TO GO ON THE WATER SLIDE IT OPENS AT 5:00 P.M. your welcome.Anyways other then that it was AMAZING AND FUN
This is a superior facility. It is kept very clean. The life guards and fitness instructors are great and very non-judgmental, in fact, encouraging, about each patron's level of fitness. But there are multiple facilities used in multiple ways and different ways to pay for the facilities, so it can be very confusing at first. For instance, there is the water park which is open for very specific 2-hour sessions; you can't just go in any time. There are fitness classes, and swimming classes which are at specific times. Lap swimming is usually available anytime although sometimes less lanes are available due to a class at one end of the pool AND no lanes are available when the swim teams have practice. But all the information is available if you look at every page, including PDF's, on the website. I have used it for the water fitness classes and for lap swimming. I also have occasionally taken my niece and nephew to a water park session, and always have a good experience. Hours can change monthly, so check the website before you come. Small lockers are one quarter, large are two quarters.
My kids and I first experience here was wonderful. The staff was wonderful and helpful, pool area is clean and lifeguards are on point with keeping everyone safe. I actually felt a good vibe here and I'm not a people person I felt welcome and peace
The lap pool itself is good but the attention to service is about what one would expect with a county pool. Prices are not bad expecially since there is NO fee to join, only when you want to come in. They have decent plans for multiple visits to save money. They also have a play area for the younger kids and offer party services for groups. Like every public service they are most crowded first thing in the morning and right after work. Midday is the time to go swim, especially if you want a lane to yourself for turning laps in the lap pool. Check the schedule for when classes are running and check for the local school swim team practice times because that will take the lap lanes down to less than half which means crowded conditions. They are good answering the phone and letting you know when the lanes are jammed or if there is a little space.
My daughter enjoyed herself here I wish they had a little more things for the kids thou
I love this place but the vending area is a rip off.
It's a bit warm inside, but the staff is helpful and the place is well-maintained.
Two words...racial profiling..end of story
The staff is very rude at this place. Lifeguards were constantly rolling their eyes and other motions that indicated their displeasure. They were very unprofessional and were downright mean to some children. Rules were arbitrarily enforced and it was confusing to the kids. My daughter was required to keep her hand on the side of the whirlpool at all times when walking (no other child was required to do this, my daughter is not small, and was not disobeying any other rules). Very disappointed in the staff at this establishment! This could be a fun place to visit, but the lifeguards don't make it an enjoyable environment. I understand the need for rules, but it's excessive and changes with each lifeguard who monitors the area. Please note that children are not allowed to use the swim lanes unless they are with a swim team.
Nice Safe Family Fun!
Does this place stay open all year long? Most pools close after labor day.
افضل مكان لخروج مع الاطفال
I personally do not recommend anyone to go this place, because of the front desk who are non-professional.
Enjoyed ourselves a whole lot
The manger need fired
I really like being able to swim laps in a pool where lap lane rules are enforced. Children have a great pool area of their own. The staff is friendly. Negative comments about staff seem to result from people being asked to follow the rules for the safety of all. Lefeguards are vigilant, getting into the chidrens ' pool to observe when the pool is crowded. I do wish people would be made to follow the rule about not wearing their street shoes in the pool area. It is gross. Also wish parents would support the lifeguards who are trying to keep every kid safe and make their kids listen to the guards.
Front desk people are so rude and disrespectful. I wish they train them some customer service.
Very professional and courteous staff, very clean, 8 lap lanes which are very nice. My only quibble is it could use some more ventilation as it can smell pretty strongly like chlorine but it’s a clean, convenient, nice place with friendly lifeguards and staff.
rude snappy people who dont understand. nice pool broken slide still...
I use it for swimming laps, usually in the evening. The water is always very clean. The evenings are chaotic, and the staff doesn't know what's going on from day to day. Swim teams and water aerobics take lanes without any schedule. I've never been shut out, there's always a place to swim, and usually a lane to myself. The indoor water-park is loud, which might annoy some people. The locker rooms are very simple. No frills. Bring a quarter for the locker.
First of all the life guards are completely rude .. I think the life guards need to learn how to talk and treat people with respect as they are nothing but kids ..other than the ignorant life guards the place is OK. .
Was really excited to go this place with hot tub, but we got all the way here they said the baby under 3 is not allowed.....what a weird place?!?! We are going to watch the baby all the time is not like we will just let him play by himself... feel no words
OK for the price they charge you. It is smaller than I expected, and some people here are very rude, but it is was OK. I am not sure if I will come back here.
I dislike how you have to pick a swim session and also the slides are set up wrong they will put your little child on a big slide where they can easily go under water
I visit the lap pool and hottub pretty often in the summer due to my bad knees. I remember working in a similar setting when I was a teenager, and was even a pool operator. I have read a lot of reviews and witnessed a lot of things at this pool. Here are some clarifications on things that often anger people: 1. The reason (which should be fairly obvious) your diaper-wearing 2-year-old child cannot go in the pool is because they are not potty trained. If someone poops in the pool, at best, they have to close it for 30 minutes and at worst the pool is closed for 24 hours. So don't ruin it for yourself and other patrons. And yes, poop incidents are very common in the summertime. Stop being selfish. Also, anyone under 3 should not be in the pool, even if they are potty trained. If your child can barely walk and cannot go down the little slide by themselves they are way too susceptible to injury and should not be in the pool. I have watched the pool get closed for a whole day and the staff has to deal with sessions worth of people asking for refunds, looks like an awful ordeal. And no, you will not get away with sneaking in your 2-year-old. Whether the staff can apprehend you or not, they know. 2. The reason your eyes burn so badly from the chlorine is because almost 90% of the patrons decided not to shower before entering the pool. The bathrooms advise you to shower before getting into the pool. The reason your eyes burn is because the chlorine in the water is reacting with dirt/grease/sweat/pee etc. So, take a shower, you're gonna get wet anyways. 3. The fact your child is too short for the slide is not the lifeguard's problem. In fact, it is nobody's problem. Not a big deal. Go down the smaller side. Your child will get over it. And no, the kids you are watching go down the slide are not all shorter than your kid, those are anger-induced-hallucinations.
Note: Closed until June 16 for maintenance (I suggested updated hours to Google for this timeframe)
This place is amazing and great for kids and adults, yea the life guards can be a bit rude at times but the place very fun and keeps kids occupied.
every time I have gone there they have been awesome. it is a great way to spend a day inside when it is terrible outside. we had a birthday party there last year and it was awesome too I just saw the negative reviews and wanted to counter with something positive. this place to me is great!
Clean and nice
Just today a wonderful lifeguard opened up the water feature for me and my kids on their snow day. Thank you so much!
Very nice family place, there is something there for the whole family to enjoy! Very inexpensive
The facility itself isn't bad at all. What I did not like is the website advertises the hours that they are open. I went there with my family expecting to go in right away. When we got there, we were told that we would have to wait until the next "session" which was more than an hour wait. When you pay for entrance, you are paying for a 2 hour period as opposed to enjoying the facility until you want to leave. They do not explain this on the website, and it is a little misleading. Other than that, we had a decent time.
Nice Place. It helps to understand a few things, though 1) Admission covers a 2-hour session. This is spelled out on the website and in the publications, but people still whine about it. You pay for 2 hours, leave the pool at the end of the session, and pay for another session if you want to stay longer. If it's too crowded, they won''t let you in until the next session. That seems reasonable, since it might help prevent a drowning. Still, some people cry about it. I had no trouble getting the staff to explain the details of the admission and pass system to me, No one was rude to me. 2) Admission is $4 for kids, $6 for adults, $4 for seniors if you live in AA County. Add $2 if you are from out of the county. So it's not cheap, but not horribly expensive either. 3) Discount books bring the prices down, especially for Adult + Children combos. Your ticket gets punched once for each adult, once for each kid. I can't see why anyone would expect anything else. 4) The lap pool is for swimmers. You don't need to be a racer, but it's not set up for lounging around in the shallow end, either. A lot of seniors use it for workouts, as do many young adults. The kiddie pool is for kids. What else? It's nice, with water depths from 1 half foot to 4.5 feet. It has a pair of slides and some fountains, but if you want Six Flags you'll be disappointed. All in all, I liked it.
Seperate pool for adult exercise and a hot tube. Segrigated from children, it makes for a much better experience. Wish the out of country price was not so high.
My kid and significant other n his kids are crazy y for this place. It's close fun n easy way to have a blast on the water slide
Ignore the bad reviews the staff does a GREAT JOB considering in the summer, pool only holds so many kids and they try to accommodate and rotate as many as possible.Overall place is VERY CLEAN I've watched them constantly taking pool samples make sure of the chlorine levels. Always have been polite to me. ALWAYS 2 Life guards watching ALL pools.1 on each side. They may have lap pool going, aerobics and Kidde pool at same time, GIVE THEM A BREAK.
Love it
Way to strict for older children Don't waste your time
I think they only deserve to get only two stars because they won't let baby's with swim diapers on WHAT !?! That's rediclus I think they should let people with children that are in swim diapers in there pool they will never see me here again But if u do have a fam that is potty trained it is a good place for u to swim at
I honestly love this facility but the staff at the front desk are VERY RUDE!!! I almost wanted to take m7y family home, but the kids were so excited to swim.
Reasonable price. Water park was big enough that two hours was just right but small enough that it's easy to track your kids.
This is a great place to go if you are a slow fitness swimmer, there are floats and pull buoys and you don't get swamped and humiliated by people that swim like Michael Phelps. The place is clean and there are generally open lanes. It is a great value especially with a FUP pass. However, the situation is a little more chaotic if you are there for the kiddie water park. They only allow a limited number of kids into the park at a time, they give you a two hour swim time (I bet your kids are tired after 2 hours!) , they do not allow kids that are too small to get in the pool (Thanks!) and if you don't know the rules, you may be disappointed. So, read the rules, reserve a time to swim, and be pleasant to the staff, they will respond kindly and are doing the best that they can.
Nice my daughter loves it. Its a great place for kids to play. The only thing I dislike is the strong chlorine smell its burns my
I came all the way from Baltimore City to find out that my fully potty trained 2 year old can't swim.
It was JUST ok. The people at the desk wasn't to polite when I asked about the times. On the site it said from 8am-8pm. I got there a little before 12pm and was told I was only going be able to swim until 1 because the group that was in now were from 11-1. No where did I see that on their website and she acted irritated when I was confused about the time. Was not friendly or polite. The kiddie pool weren't big at all. It was crowded. The slide was the only decent part. Not enough seating either. The seating is awful. There are only benches. Two very long benches like at a school gym where you sitting with other people and their junk leaving not much space to put your shoes or towels on. Items can easily get misplaced or mixed up with someone else stuff. Didn't feel very comfortable leaving my purse around a bunch of strangers even with it on my shoulders. They are some benches here and there but of course they were already occupied. To much chemicals in the pool. My husband and my children were complaining about our eyes burning after going in the water and we smelled like straight up bleach when leaving. . It was my first time going and more than likely will be my last.I will try Bohrer Water Park next
Horrible Place. I don't even know where to begin. The life guards and overall staff are very rude. If you ask them a question they throw you this look of "why are you bothering me?". The facility is okay but far from amazing. The life guards are very selective when enforcing the rules making the overall experience very unenjoyable. After our first day swimming my kids didn't want to ever go back. That should say enough right there.
Not toddler friendly. Told me I can bring her but she can't get in the water. I want them to explain that to a toddler.
Horrible experience!!! After my kids and I waited for 1 hour, paid our money, changed and got dressed...one of the staff members ask if my granddaughter was 3 and potty trained...I explained that she’s potty trained and will be 3 on Sunday. We were turned away and showed no empathy. My kids were all changed and ready to go and to be told that we can’t enter after all we went throug was so disheartening. I will never come back again.
When me and my mother came here we had friends and we n the second time they didnt let me go down the slide near He front! Story mnumber two:the aquatic centre has too much chlorine and its hurting my eyes hope they can fix 1 those life guards and 2 that chlorine problem there is too much
