I used to enjoy this park, but the last few times I had to leave due to the insufferable noise of Bagpipes. No concert notice, no warnings via event boards. Any other noise of that volume would be met with police, but this fool is aloud to roam around and annoy every corner of the park, making me and my family very uncomfortable so we are routinely forced to leave.

Daniel Elkins

Lovely area to walk with your dog.

I love taking my dog here to hike. The trails aren't too tough, but strenuous enough to tire out the pup. The trails are well marked with maps along the way. Only issue I ran into was having to cross through/jump over a steam to continue on a trail. It looked like after a huge wind storm there were trees knocked down that caused this issue. I'm sure they'll get them cleared up though. In summary, it's a quick trip out of the city for some fresh air.

David Pittman

Beautiful little park with a very healthy ecosystem. Many amazing plant and animal species can be found here. It is a great place for couples, families, or outdoor enthusiasts.

Flat areas for strollers and folks who enjoy easier walks. Folk walking their dogs and bird watchers abound. Mown field trails. Wooded trails. Plenty of birds from wrens to herons, rabbits, groundhogs, deer, foxes, box turtles, and snakes. Two frog ponds. Plenty of space for picnics. A small stream runs through the park. There are some picnic tables and benches scattered around the park. Visit the historic kiln in the park that has been restored--beautiful workmanship.

Our new favorite place to go. I think this park definitely has the friendliest staff and visitors in the state of Maryland. The staff here is so willing to help and give advice. Our first visit to the park, I happen to take a break beside one of the landmarks when a staff member strolled over and gave me a 20 minute lesson behind the landmark. ( lime Kiln) . I am use to people really not saying much to me due my appearance but visitors are always so polite..... there is creek or lake that everyone loves to go down to either sit and chat by, skip rocks or just splash in. We haven't walked the entire trail yet. The nature center has a few animals and a chicken or hen house in the front. My children love to sit in front of the hen house. I can't give this park enough praise. I doubt anyone would go and not find this park a beautiful place to visit. It has become a regular place for us now.

Love this park! Lot's to see and do. Very nice hiking trails. I was here for the first time last year, 2017 for a field trip driving my school bus. I have another field here coming up. Glad to revisit!

Kim Bronakoski

This is one of our favorite parks to go hiking with our golden retriever. There are so many different trails to choose from depending on how strenuous a workout you want and event though we've been coming here for several years now there are still trails we have yet to discover including a couple that lead to the Loch Raven Resevoir. They recently rehabbed the Line Kiln and the historical house beside it but I was actually hoping the house would be open to the public to see all the details inside. There is a nature center complete with chickens and roosters and also 2 little ponds that the frogs hatch in each year. The stream that runs through the park is accessible in several areas but there is a large stretch that is fenced off because it belongs to the property on the other side which is unfortunate because it was one of our dog's favorite places to play. Awesome park for adults and kids alike, lots of bird watching and lots of deer to see each evening and the park is free to the public.

Mike Krystkiewicz

I wad able to enjoy a nice walk on a cool, beautiful afternoon. A little muddy in spots. Many connecting trails that are not very long, a moderate hike if you choose different connections that will take you more up the hills. Less rugged that some of the Gunpowder Falls hikes I do most of the time. This is closer to my house and good for stretching the legs, as they say.

Claire Runquist

What a gem! Such a fun mix of nature and history. I instantly fell in love with this park and can't wait to explore more of it!

T Clark

Well marked trails. Good parking and port-o-pottie

ChubzWubz

Its a very nice park, everything is well maintained. All the trails are very scenic.

Brian McLane

Mix of fields and shorter wooded trails.

Bob Bobertson

Stunningly beautiful. The fields are huge, the woods are even bigger. Everything looks like a place from a fantasy story. The forest is full of secrets, like abandoned cars, an old quarry, and a mysterious structure connected to the Loch Raven water main. If you wander off the trail, you'll never see another soul. This is my favorite park I've ever been to.

Subash Pokhrel

Very good place for the family and kids

Very nice park. Lots of easy parking and than you can disappear into the forest. On a nice day I have spent hours walking the trails with my dog. Leashes are required here. Many people ignore this law. I carry a potent pepper spray. My advice is to spray first, ask questions later. Better to avert a heart breaking tragedy. There are many beautiful vistas, historical artifacts and wildlife along the trails to enjoy. Benches and picnic tables dot the trails. It's nice to take a break, have a snack and just takes things in. They do have porta pottys and I sure do appreciate that.

Mark Branon

Colleen Kreft

Great for dogs, people, and wildlife. I always had fun on school field trips there. Now that I'm older, the artisan festivals and other events are even more fun. I love the environment of Cromwell Valley and I like the people who spend part of their lives making sure the park is healthy.
