This Park is classified in the category of Water park.
Worst water park I’ve been to. Starting with having to empty all my kids water bottles on the way in (and I didn’t see the available water they promised in the park), to the filthy bathrooms and uptight lifeguards it was not worth the admission price. The overall grounds were dirty, the pool was very slippery and we enjoyed a visit from the police who had to escort a woman out who exposed herself to children. I gave it two stars because my younger kids had a decent time.
The Waterpark is good it's that most little kids tend to pee in the pool which is why it smells weird but the drinks and food price is reasonable and taste good
Lots of fun for the family. They have a nice range of water amusements for different ages, including both small/tame water slides and huge ones for older kids (48" or taller).
Price is right, once in the gates if you leave you have to pay to get back in. The lifeguards are great with the children. The food is good. Reasonable prices. I would have given them 5 stars, however the bathrooms can stand a cleaning. Trash on wet floors. Smells Horrible!!! Didn't want use, had no choice.
Nice water playground area for toddler types, big pool area for adults and older kids, 2 slides for older kids and adults were closed due to leaks, smaller slides were open though. Not too crowded and some shady areas available. Can't bring in any bottles/containers with liquids though. Can bring in empty ones and fill once you're inside. Very diverse group of people and ages. Good fun for a hot day.
More of swimming pool with slides than water park...
Love the new slides!
Awesome water park. Plus the boardwalk burgers and fires are priced at affordably. The two large water slides are great for anyone over the age of 10.
Nice clean place, but a bit pricey for out of county customers. $21 for admission is a bit much for a swimming pool. I paid $63 for myself and 2 12 years olds.
Just went there for the first time with my family and i loved it! The atmosphere was awesome they have amazing lifeguards who are always on point. The food was good as well had my very first ever funnel cake here...lol...My only issue was the crowd there should really be another pool area for the like 8-16 age range...Cant wait to go back
Nice outing for the kids, with slides and a kiddy pool. Decent food, cool to have mini golf on prem as well. Only issue was can get very crowded, no chairs unless you get there early. But was fun for the kids.
All of our liquids had to be poured out. These were waterdrinks for our toddlers. My four year old had to pay FULL price. I’ll never understand this. He was too little to enjoy all of the rides. So why did he have to pay full price. I’m still angry about this. I am deaf and it appeared like the life guard blew the whistle on us all the time to watch our kids. We were watching our kids. The older kids were very rough with the log toys and jumping and diving h everywhere. This left little place for my four year old to be at ease. He paid full price. For what? Whistles were not called on them. Again my little one could not enjoy this ride, too. He could have if everyone in the log was gentle but it seemed like the older kids had full run of the place. Refs looked the other way constantly. My family used to enjoy going to this place but didn’t enjoy it at all today. Thank you Debby Elliott
Well maintained, perfectly monitored guard n unlimited free water rides
Lots of fun things to do for the kids
Amazing food, large pool, and a couple great slides. Good for kids. Has no lap lanes.
The water park is a nice place to spend time with the family
Played a fun round of mini golf.
Too much fun
Visited here with my sister while on vacation. It was so fun. Great for my little toddlers and for hers who are 10 years older.
Very clean park and pool, great family spot. Lifeguards are so attentive!
Long lines and overcrowded. Not worth the money unless you live within gaithersburg city limits. You are not allowed to take a water bottle or a Gatorade, which I think is ridiculous
Very clean and friendly environment.
Very reasonably priced. My daughter played for hours and hours. Perfecr for a 4 year old. Not too big and overwhelming. She felt so lucky to be able to use one of the bigger slides because it landed in shallow water, so she didn't need to know how to swim in deep water. Life guards at all times managing the flow of children. Adequate snack bar though more healthy options would be appreciated. We ordered a saltless baked pretzel. Great activity pad for the smallest children - plenty to see and do. There were some things that my child could not take advantage of because she was either too small or can't swim with confidence yet. But it didn't matter. She was totally content. Bring sunscreen. I can tell that when she gets older she'll still have what to do and enjoy because there really was something there for everyone. Loved this place. If it had been bigger like a major water park it might have been too overwhelming and not as nice. This felt perfect. One of the best days of summer.
We drove a hour and 15 minutes just to be told that the park was only open to their community due to over capacitation. They were still admitting people within their community. I think that was unfair to visitors outside of Montgomery County. I would advise the park to find means of notifying the public in advance for instance posting on the website or voice recording that space is limited. Last visit was 7 years ago and we enjoyed our time there my rating from my initial visit is 4 stars unfortunately this rating isn't a past rating. Better luck next time if it be a next time. We drove back home towards Cockeysville and enjoyed Beaver Dam.
The have a toddler/baby area that is fenced in. They are really strict about outside beverages for fear that people are sneaking in alcohol...but if you have a toddler its slightly annoying. Overall good experience and we may go back before the summers over. Fyi almost all of the foos offered is fried :(
This place is good for the family it has a baby pool and a main pool. The part that I guess deep is not deep at all and litterly everyone can walk there, if you like deep pools this might not be the place for you but thankfully they have slides that they only let people without a shirt on go on it bummer for us shirt people. Fun and nice baby pool is freezing cold but my sisters loved it for some reason. Thats all I can say only you can go early if you live in Gaithersburg and show them your ID they don't let you bring food in but some people bring loads of food in and the food they sell is half bad but to expensive and the sad part is you can't bring water.
Beautiful place, friendly staff. I really enjoyed time I've been there.
Enjoyed it so much. My family and I spent a lot of time here. Not a bad experience. Thank you
Excellent place for families to gather!
Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and there are no exceptions to the rules.. kudos to the city of Gaithersburg and a staff employee Imani Pearson, looking forward to a safe and enjoyable summer.
Fun and safe
This was great fun. Gets a little crowded when summer camp kids are there , limited seating. Get there early to get good seats.
Had an amazing time, will definitely be back
An excellent place to unwind
Great place
Really fun place water slides awsome
Great place. Beside the water park, you have the skate park, the golf and the community center providing some activities. In the water park, it is not allowed to come and go. If you want multiple entries, you have to pay an additionnal fee. So be sure to have all you need with you when entering. Your bags will be checked at the entrance. You can buy a locker to secure your personnal items for 7usd and you'll keep it when toi leave. Free lounge seats available and tables also around the pool. You can bring all you need to have a picnic there or buy food and drinks at the facility available. A pool for the toddlers available. Safeguards are there.
A bit crowded but I enjoyed it
MiniGolf was fun, the pool is really nice, and the whole facility of the activity center is really fantastic.
Always has been the best water park in the county.
My daughter loves it. Clean, the staff is very attentive. The only drawback is that the food court is close weekdays. :-( other than that everything was perfect
A young man was doing the slides and he was amazing with my son!
There are a couple of slides (i think only 2) but the slides are very fun! Only thing... expect a 15-30 minute queue.
Fun place for the family
Great fun at the water park. There is lots of space and lots to do. It gets crowded as the day goes on so get there early!
Rude staff :(
Awesome slides, great family fun!
Very nice place for kids
Very nice pool and sitting area. Can bring your own food and drinks.
I love this place. I never found any sorts of trash inside of the water and the big water slides are really fun but the big dark green one is so fast that at the end you kind of bump your head but its ok.
Really beautiful city worth the
Great for kids of all ages
Nice enjoyable fun u can have parties here but food and snacks at the food stand plenty of seating and alot of fun things to do
Nice place!
Too crowded. Small water park for the price they charge if not a resident of the County.
This water park is great there's something for everyone. Kids can't get enough. The place is clean life guards do a good job by making sure that everyone follows the rules. The food is good .
Great experience. Clean well environment, attentive and friendly staff and life gaurds. I highly recommend for you and your family.
It very good..
I am amazed with the staff of this water park!!! I'm a Mom of 4, and decided to go down the faster slide today. As I got to the bottom, I opened my arms and hit my left hand on the edge of the bottom of the slide. That hit knocked my diamond out of my engagement ring ! I immediately knew what happened... Devastated & almost in tears! The lifeguards stopped everything! They asked if I was hurt. I told them what happened. They turned the water off to the two big slides. People surrounded the pool, everyone concerned. The lifeguards were on their walkie talkies with each other, and one jumped in with goggles. This all seemed to me to be an hour process, but it was probably only 10 minutes. I thought for sure my diamond was GONE! THE LIFEGUARD WITH THE GOGGLES POPPED UP WITH MY DIAMOND IN HIS HAND!!! I burst in tears and hugged him several times! I wish I would have got his name, but I was still in shock! We will be back every summer!!! Thank you so much to every staff member there and every adult & child that watched, just hoping we would find it!!!
I think it's kind of ridiculous if you have to leave to get something from your car like extra baby water for your child you have to pay $21 again and the website says $10. Update your website people are coming then leave because they didn't bring enough.
This is a great place to enjoy and for me and my girlfriend Angela love this so much and it is really awesome and beautiful here at Gaithersburg Water Park in the town of Gaithersburg Md .
This place has so much potential -- it's a beautiful facility with lots to offer. However, my experience was downright terrible. We left after being there for 30 minutes. The entrance was unorganized. The chairs were broken. The water was dirty. The place was awfully crowded, and the kids just seem to be running around aimlessly without control. The kids pool was certainly not a kids pool. I felt unsafe for my daughter (she was bumped into several times) and did not feel comfortable leaving my belongings. Someone just needs to step in and manage this place, other than a bunch of kids.
It's a nice place. A lot of space and it can go places if they add a few more recreational activities.
Nice place for kids and families. Missing some healthy options and fruit on the menu of food being sold.
I love this place for adults and kids and you can bring anything you would like to eat and they have a lot of lifeguards to help us
This park is smaller that i thought it would be. The staff at the ticket counter are excellent. The lifeguards are not the friendliest people and the training is not consistent. My daughter was tall enough to ride the water slide and received a green wristband. When the lifeguards switched station, the new guard tried to take her wristband.
Beautiful city! Could work on the friendliness of the business owners.
I am not going to recommend this place to anyone. The staff is really rude and unhelpful. They didnt let me to go outside to pick up my friend's kids right from the front of the gate because they have no re-entry policy...we had a worst experience here and will never come back here and recommend this place to anyone....waste of money and waste of time...I would give zero rating to this place...
Big park with lots of fun activities. The water park is home to two really good water slides and a pretty good snack bar with a large selection. I believe the entry price is only five dollars per person, making this water park - by far - one of the best budget attractions in the area during the summer.
Clean pool and grounds, staff very nice.
Bring empty bottles only. Some reviewers mention you aren't allowed to bring in bottled water. That's true, but empty bottles are OK and there's free iced water inside. And in case you're tempted to hide your Dasani in your stuff, keep in mind they check every bag. Pool is cleans with great slides but long lines to enter and slide.
It's flat, But fun. Especially the water slides
Small but well maintained water park which is on the doorstep for City of Gaithersburg residents. Rides are fun and lifeguards closely monitor people specially kids.
Excellent place to take the kids and have a ball. The crowd was enjoyable and the staff were great. The water rides and miniature golf was awesome. I would definitely recommend this water park
Full price for my 7 year old even though he couldn’t ride many of the slides! Bag checker forced us to dump a water bottle for baby’s formula because water wasn’t permitted! Was not allowed to leave to get bag with baby’s diapers from car parked DIRECTLY in front of the entrance gate unless I paid $16 for re-entry. Is this really for the community or just a way to gouge every last dollar from the citizens. Will NOT be back.
Nice
Had a ball
Their website says Aug 18th open to residents only 5-8. I get here at 5:00 and it is packed (obviously not residents only). After a couple minutes i ask is it residents only...no that was yesterday. So your nit open til 8? No. Really??? Update your website, I wouldn't have come here.
My kids ages 2 and 6 loved this place. It was our first time there. Very kid friendly. We went on a Friday at the end of August and it wasn't too crowded. Looking forward to going back next summer.
It was fun, there is no real deep end i belivebthe deepest end was 4 foot but the water slides were a hoot, the neon green one goes super fast while the other one does not go that fast and i have no idea how muc food is.
This park is such a wonderful asset to our community. The city keeps it up and the crowds love it.
Very nice for the price of $5 admission. Tall and short water slides for the different age groups and a pool where you can do your laps. Concessions stand was closed when we were there.
Big slide and kid section door are broken. They should have checked them before opening. NOT just good at collecting money.
Can't smoke, not even on the parking lot
This place displays endless 0ptions Multiple pools areas golf area, dining area
So fun
This pool is way over priced and this pool gave my Kids lice .. The bathrooms was disgusting and the staff was very disrespectful Please DONT go to this Pool because it’s unsanitary
Loved it. Lifeguards were on point. Very affordable. Fast foods,drinks....prices were reasonable. Will return again
The place was packed.
Pricy
Great place to take the kids.
Kids love this water park and I also do as well. I like the is local and convenience when is summer time. Not need to drive too far. The size and/capacity of park is moderate. It make it easy to keep an eye on the kids. Also price are great. Thanks!
Warm and inviting atmosphere
Super fun and nearby water park if you live in the DC area. There are dedicated pools to little children and have big water slides that are always fun to ride. As a child, I would come here every month during the summer because of how fun it was. I would highly recommend bringing your little children to this water park because of how fun it is!
This is a great place to bring the kids. My little ones can run around in the (fenced!) kids area, and there's a small playground when they need a break from the water. You can bring your own food, just not bottled drinks-- although you can bring empty bottles to fill there. My oldest (7) loves going down the waterslides, and can go by herself! For those worried about the price, we bought a family membership for the season ($250) and it's a great value. We've been going on Sunday afternoons around 4 pm, and it's not crowded at all by that time of day.
phenomenal.
Great place to take the family
Awesome pool for every age
This is a awesome water park. I loved it.
My family and i came to this establishment a week ago and was charged the community price since we live down the street and had a great time despite the pool getting closed for an hour due to sanitary reasons. Today is a completely different story. We're being told that we aren't apart of the community and were charge a ridiculous amount, on top of that the staff was rather rude and disrespectful towards us and other guests. Not a friendly place to say the least. The slides are fun but dosent make up for bad experiences.
Great
Wow. I used to love to take my kids here during the summer but today’s experience changed that and we will not be back. We arrived at 5:30. Had to wait at least 10 minutes to pay for admission because the person working the admission booth was on the phone and the three people working in the same area wearing white shirts and checking guests in after they paid were incapable of taking over the register while the ticket girl was on the phone. When it was finally my turn to pay, I was told it was $42 for one adult and 2 kids for an hour and a half. It’s $15 per person to get in. No adult price and no kid price. $15 per person any age. You get $1 off per ticket if you get there after 5 since it closes at 7. What a bargain!! So I paid $42 to get in. Immediately after paying for the tickets, a kid with a yellow highlighter demanded my ticket so he could make three lines on it and then yelled at me that I could not bring a bottle of water inside. They won’t let you in with any food or drinks. They want you to spend money at the concession stand. I left my bottle of water that I had just wanted to drink after driving in my hot car, it’s 90 today, at the counter and they threw it out. It’s a bottle I use for the gym. After I got my kids settled, I went to the bathroom. It was disgusting and filthy. Pee all over the floor. Barely any stall had toilet paper. And when I walked back outside, there are all the kids that work there standing around doing nothing. Same as the life guards not actually sitting in chairs. If you are going to go here, arrive when it opens so you get your money worth. And pack your food and drinks at the bottom of your bag to smuggle them in. Then just pray you don’t catch a disease in the bathroom. Happy Swimming!!
Lots of fun with the family and a nice and clean place to go for a outing.
Great water park for all ages!
A great family water park. Not too much not too little
The first time i went there it was so good
nice clean only thing they don't let you bring water or drink in the park.
I want to love this place. It's about 20 minutes from us, and my son loved playing there. Our recent trip leaves me wondering if we will return though. The facility itself is pretty nice. It features a few different pool areas. There is a splash pad area combined with a shallow pool (labeled 10", but I would estimate 14") for toddlers. It features several small water slides, water sprayers, geysers, and more. This small area is fenced in to keep little ones from wandering. It is a good thing, because parents didn't seem to be paying much attention to their children. We saw one boy pull his swimsuit completely down and urinate into the water. Another man, referring to a child as his grandson, was encouraging the child to pee in the pool. Fortunately, the child seemed to know better and refused, making his mother take him to the restroom a mere 20 feet away. All of the pool areas had no chairs available. The park was very crowded. The guests were generally rude and would bump you, run into you, or just cut you off without a word. The larger pool areas were full of people, and the children's play area in another (featuring an alligator and a log) were completely overrun. The lines for the water slides didn't look bad. The facility features lockers for your valuables and clothing. There are signs everywhere indicating they will sell you a lock for $7, but when I inquired, they were out. We did find small lockers for valuables, that were a quarter with a removable key. The bathrooms were disgusting, every toilet in the men's room was covered with urine or worse (several looked to have feces smeared all over them). The locker room side, was okay, but my wife reported that the woman's locker room floor was covered in brown water. All in all, this place has potential, but for $12 per person, I expected more.
The price isn’t worth what they have to offer. The park is really small. I also was caught off guard by not being able to take my baby bottles in and if you leave to go back to the car to feed your child you would have to repay to get in. It’s kind of stupid that you can take a whole cooler in the park but not baby bottles. The reason behind it is people putting alcohol in baby bottles. You can clearly see I have a infant. They need to change the rules because my visit here today I witness a cooler full of alcohol that a family brought in. I will not be returning
Great family place. Affordable.
Great place for the kids to swim, a birthday party, or just to hang with your friends or family. Fun to play mini golf too!
Was an unusually quiet day there and the family get together we had there was a nice time for the kids & the adults.
Really nice facility - wish there were a little more parking on hot summer days
Lot's of fun for all ages
Ive gone many times as a city of Gaithersburg resident and have always been charged that price. Today they decided to charge me out of the norm and when i asked for an explanation she told me im just outside their line. Ummm but all the other plenty of time I've gone and shown my same address and ID there was never an issue, same cashiers too. I live right across the st. SMH anyways not the best pool out here. Over priced for the size of the pool and over crowded. Their funnel cakes are rubbery. Whats cool is they have "boardwalk fries" nothing like OC boardwall fries though. Heads up if you plan to take water, freeze it. They dont allow water but will if it's frozen for some reason. Won't be going back here at all as they dont know how to properly provide customer service.
This water park has everything you could want and something for all ages, even little babies. It is not so big that you would lose your older kid though. Decent prices too.
No plastic bottle allowed. Bring can sodas if you're packing beverages.
Fun I was able to bring my service dog though she was not aloud in, the people are very nice service and food was good but a tad bit expensive very proud pretty pool and nice size but the floor was a little dirty
I was impressed! Very clean and nice staff, a great fun place to spend your day!
It was fun and clean park. The online pictures left me the impression the park was bigger with more to offer. I guess my response has more to do with expectations than actual experience. I wouldn't dissuaded someone from going. Just have the right expectations.
The big and shallow pools are perfect for small children. The small pool with playground is on the other side for the toddlers. I got $12 per person from Groupon. Under 12 are free. Small store sells beach balls, goggles, and other things.
The price paid was a bit much. My boyfriend and his son and myself $48. Not what I expected after reading $10 online per person. That's if your local, if we weren't local it would've been $15 more. The food wasn't that bad for the cost. We bought two cheeseburgers and a chicken fingers tray, medium fry and 3 large drinks was about $37. The water park was decent for being a local park. But the price for what it was, not worth it. I read online no food allowed in because they have a food atand. Yet on arrival, I see people with coolers and food and drinks. Information should be updated and correct to set people's expectation levels.
Great time with the kids!! And Family as a unit! There are bees! And the will sting you and there are ants so dont try to save all the fries they give you in the combo lol... but fun time overall
The park itself has nice water long, slides and a play area for both the big and little kids. My daughter stayed in the water for hours on end. She would have went with a City of Gaithersburg program she is enrolled in, but I had to drop her off since she was in another program which overlapped with the field trip. FYI- No water bottles allowed
Lot of summer fun. Slides, pools, restaurant. Nice place for a hot day. Only negative thing it gets way too crowded
This is a wonderful and clean place to spend the day.
It's good for adults but for kids has limited options.
“The forest within the city (Seattle, WA)” While visiting friends living in the university district of Seattle we ventured into Ravenna Park for an afternoon walk with our kids. This large outdoor natural park had well maintained paths and was beautiful.
I love this pool. I really do. But....... They jacked up the prices for non Gaithersburg residents. Also the water was really cold. But other than that I had a lot of fun.
The slides are fun and there is also a skate park and a golf course.
It's a awesome place to bring your family. 5$ Gaithersburg 10$ everyone else.
Absolutely amazing water park open to the public! So clean and the staff is very attentive and makes sure patrons are following the pool rules. Really cool water slides/chutes suitable for kids & adults! Very fun place. Some days they are only open to people with memberships & Gaithersburg City residents, so double check before visiting.
Great place to spend time with the family. Make sure you let them know if you LIVE in Gaithersburg.....cuts the cost a bit. Enjoy and make sure you take a plunge on the water slide (the green tube is faster). Happy splash!!!!!!!
I took my children here and it was a pleasure to see them having so much fun........ I will be back this summer and do it all over again ✌️
Loved it, had a great time. Don't care too much for the pricing policy. Gaithersburg residents & City of Gaithersburg residents are not the same
Great pool with 2 amazing watersides and mini golf course but it can be very packed at times
Early admission as a city resident is a nice bonus since it gets really crowded later in the day. The pool/mini golf combo ticket is a pretty good deal. You can bring in food and juice boxes, but not water bottles. They have a snack bar and lots of water fountains.
Really great fun for a great price. We went on a slightly rainy day so there was no crowd and the kids got to go on the water slides over and over without much wait time
We had a birthday party at this park. Though the location itself was great, the experience of dealing with the staff and preparing for the party was not great; in fact, it was outright hostile. This park is rule heavy - no balloons, no candles, no re-entry - among many others. So we had to figure out how to set up for our party and deal with the unfriendly staff while doing so. It wasn’t until the very end that we were informed about the option of buying a bracelet so we could bypass the “no re-entry” rule. Further, the admission cost per person ($16 pp) is hefty for a larger party; no discounts were offered. And, to further enhance our experience, there was an incident at the pool (someone decided to go #2 in it) - which led to a full hour pool cleaning session, during which our guests weren’t allowed in the pool. No apologies or discounts were offered for this either. Lastly, pool staff decided to close up our pavilions before our reservation time expired. Overall, this is not a party friendly place. We will never host another party here again and discourage others from doing so.
Pool, playground and putput all in the same general area. Best place to make all of the kids happy.
Very nice
Very nice waterpark. Water slides for adults and small children. Large main pool has beach style entrance, which is perfect for little children. Sprinklers and an island built into the main pool, plus a Boardwalk Burgers and Fries on location. All very nice and convenient. The point deduction of course comes from service. On my first visit there, I went with my two daughters. At the check in counter, I am told the non county resident price is $21 for adults per visit, a bit higher than I expected but whatever, as both my toddler daughters were free admission. The attendant then tells me after 5pm its discounted. Nearing 6pm, I say okay what's the price. She was quite pleased to tell me I only have to pay $20. With my huge savings in hand, I'm abruptly told I need to empty my ice water bottle and use their water cooler. And then I'm told if I have to run back to the car for anything there is no reentry without paying again. Really?? With two kids? Trying to put that ridiculousness behind me, after we find some recliners under some shade, we head to the pool. Not 5 mins later, thunder is heard and everyone has to exit the pool. 5 mins after that, the ordered the park closed at 6pm, an hour before normal close. Very frustrated, I told them I arrived not even 20 mins prior, and after some hesitation they offered me a day pass. Bottom line - the place is very nice, but the silly discount, and the no reentry rules need some reconsideration. Sorry for the book...
Went here on Tuesday with my boyfriend and 8 month old son and had a lot of fun. It's something fun and affordable to do with the family. We plan to go back with the family soon and maybe even play some mini golf
Very clean, friendly, and relaxed environment.
Was good for my kids had a blast
Nice water park for the family
My boys enjoyed it; since they were satisfied I was as well.
Good place to take the family to swim.
It’s so awesome and fun it’s the best
Tons of fun at this water park
I grew up at this pool! I loved the water slides and it is a wonderful place to swim and make friends. There is a great kiddie pool. There's also a frog that squirts water and some mushrooms that are like waterfalls. The white slide takes about 14 secs to go down and 5-7 secs on the blue/green slide. It gets really crowded in the summer from about 11-4 from summer programs, but a wonderful time will be had by all. I even met people who came all the way from Silver Spring to this pool because it was better than the one by them. I haven't lived in the area for 5 years, but I don't think it's changed much. Enjoy the water!
Kids love it. $16 out of residents. Love that you can bring your own food. Just disappointed that you can't bring your own bottled drinks. Food prices are typical (med high). It's best to go during the week or as soon as they open. Around 3-4PM, the water park becomes ridiculously crowded which causes swimming to be unpleasant. Staff are friendly I never had a issue with them. I saw a review where someone said they were treated poorly because they were 'colored'. I never had a issue. Staff have also been very nice and pleasant. They should have a max limit on the guests entering the park.
I'm only giving it 3 stars because of the price, and the bag search before we could enter. If you live in the city of g'burg, it's 5$ everyday. If you don't live in gaithersburg, but are a moco resident, age 3 and up,it's 10$ mon-thurs,and 16$ fri-sat! Per person. If you don't live in moco, add 5$ more, making it 15$ and 21$. They search your bag before you go in. Drinks in cans and juice boxes are allowed. Full plastic bottles are not allowed,or you can empty the bottle, and pay to refill it inside. No senior discounts either. It was a nice pool, with small slides in the wading area, and fountains, and buckets dumping water. There's 2 small islands/sitting area in the wading area, which is 3ft at its deepest. They have 2 giant 6 story high water slides. 1is open, the other enclosed. I drug my old butt up 6 stories and went down the open one. It was worth the climb. The splash pool for the under 5 set was pretty nice too. All kinds of fountains shooting water, little water slides, and it was 10in at it's deepest. I went with my daughter and 21 month old granddaughter. The baby had a ball, and was a nice afternoon at the pool. They do have a snack bar that was surprisingly affordable. You could get cheeseburgers, steak and cheese, hot dogs, corn dogs, chicken tenders, Thrashers fries, and funnel cake. They have salads and cold drinks too. They had plenty of lifeguards too. We had fun,and enjoyed ourselves, but I did not appreciate having my belongings searched, and 16$ is a bit much for a public pool.
Spendy for a single entry. $10 for nonresidents during the week, $16 on weekends. But there's a reason for the price. This is a wonderful pool. Waterslides are great, splash pool is elaborate and fun. Kids love this place. Food at boardwalk fries is really tasty, and runs about $10 for a meal, 3-6 for a snack.
AwesomeSauce...
I am here very often we love to came here on Sundays for 3 o 4 hours but today we pay $23. Full day and they an ounce the pool closed at 6pm when the webside said 7pm I was upset because I pay and we were only here for 1 hour and the Web side is not updated.
The place is nice, but the price is crazy honestly seems like they like taking advantage and the workers from there are so rude! I laugh when I see their lifeguards because 1) they’re not wearing the appropriate baiting suits one lifeguard was wearing sweatpants and the other girl was wrapped with her towel like it was a blanket 2) their lifeguards don’t even pay attention a girl was checking her nails, looking at her feet and playing with her hair, and the other one was falling asleep 3) sadly a little girl was drowning and the the lifeguard jumper (in an unprofessional way that lifeguards should) and made it worse. Crazy prices for the food and the people that take the order are SO RUDE!!! And what pushed my buttons to the limit is that IT WAS CLOSED ALREADY!! And after we changed and we were heading to the car my little girl was thirsty I wanted to go get a water they told me I would had to pay the entrance fee again..? Like whatt??? Why!??? It was already closed and I just needed a water bottle...they steal your money do not go there and they don’t even let you bring water in made me pour out all the water
This is a fun place for children of all ages to go. I read the reviews and regulations before coming so I would not be surprised. It's on their website. I'd say only 1 lifeguard was a bit overzealous yelling at the children but everyone else was very pleasant. One lifeguard had to jump in to save a younger child during our stay. He was super fast and on top of his job. The only gripe I have about this place is the lawn chairs. Now, how can you upgrade the Waterpark and not the chairs. They are old, raggedy and need a permanent visit the trash! If you can bring your own beach chairs, I would advise this. Just call first to see if it's ok. Otherwise, this place is great. Can't wait to come back!
