Here you will see all the feddbacks of real people like you who bought the products and services of Acadia National Park (Park) in Maine.
Currently this business has a score of 4.9 stars over 5 and the score was based on 10852 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is virtually the highest, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the assessment is quite reliable. If people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Park is classified in the category of National park.
A National Park treasure, leaves starting to turn 5 or 6 points of interest along the way. Breathtaking photo opportunities:)
Gorgeous area. Easily accessible. You can hike as gently or as vigorously as you want. Many people visiting, but no where near the sense of rush and crowd pressure of Yellowstone! We stayed at motel 15 minutes away.
So many great hikes and beautiful views! Do Precipice! It’s scary but worth it!
Beautiful place. We really enjoyed the scenery. Trees were just beginning to change.
My favorite national park. Stayed at the blackwoods campground for a few nights. Accessed many challenging and exciting hikes from the park road, but there are trails for all levels. Gorgeous views every direction you look. Clean park. Dogs allowed on leash.
Just beautiful! I drove 8 hours there and it was definitely worth it! If you love mountain and ocean it’s definitely the place to go. Sand beech, Jordan pond and Cadillac mountain are the must go places in my opinion.
Gotta come back and hike! Oh my goodness, so much to see and explore!! Beautiful scenery and landscapes!
Couldn't be happier with Acadia Nat'l Park! First time there and all I can say is it was absolutely beautiful! What an experience!!! October was gorgeous for the weather and scenery!
Cant wait to go back. Amazing place to visit. Very well run Park.
Great. Lots to see. Can drive to Cadillac mt. Clean. Saw deer and turkeys. Should be able to walk but lots of people are semi disabled and seem to make it. Go to jordan pond for muffins and ...
Just gorgeous. Beehive trail was challenging and a bit nerve racking with a 5 yo kiddo, but so worth it, and she loved it!
Beautiful park. Tons of trails for all levels of hiking ability. Hiked Beehive and Cadillac. Great views from both. Beehive shorter but more challenging. Swimming in ocean was freezing, but Echo Lake was perfect. Carriage Roads also nice for walking and biking. Bar Harbor is close for all your needs. Nice restaurants and downtown area.
Beautiful Beautiful place to visit. The drive up to Cadillac Mountain was nice. Lots of beautiful views.
Peaceful and quiet. The trail has a very natural and untouched feeling to it. Weather in May is a bit cold once the sun goes down, but with the view and fresh popovers in the end. Everything was worth the visit!
So many beautiful views. I wish you actually weren't able to drive up Cadillac Mountain. It gathers way too many tourists and sightly tarnishes the view for those who actually took the time to hike. It is still breathtaking, though. You can visit again and again and never see everything!
This place is great. Ocean and lakes. Rocky coast with meadows and forests. Dramatic scenery. Great hiking trails. Carriage trails for biking. Plenty of places to stay and many local restaurants with all different price ranges.
Overall good national park with ocean views, greenery and clean beach. Stunning views for sunrise and sunset. Giving it 4 stars as I have seen Yosemite and Yellowstone staying for 4 years at East coast. I found this national park has a little less in comparison with other 2 national parks.
Wonderful place to hike and reconnect with nature. Absolutely stunning views from surrounding mountaintops and ocean views. Park rangers great at impromptu teaching. Well marked trails and well kept park. I don't think we saw any litter in the entire park!
Been 9 times in the USA and visited many national parks (Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Everglades,...). Acadia was really beautiful. If I had to choose to only visit one US national park it would be Acadia.
Acadia is a simply beautiful, beautiful National Park. There are "per car" entry fees, but are well worth the cost. We camped at a local campground and rode the free buses into Acadia. This gets you into the park for free. If you want to go up to Cadillac Mountain you'll need to drive in, as the buses don't go up Cadillac Mountain.
A United States treasure. Beautiful vista's of ocean and mountains. Easy to difficult hiking trails. Trails are way too get to and clearly marked. A beautiful one way road goes through the park. This makes it easier to share the road with other cars, hikers, and cyclists. Truly a great park.
Love love love my national parks. Latest stop is Acadia. This has not disappointed one iota. Get up here and check it out.
Oh Acadia! There is nothing I could write that hasn't been written before. This place IS amazing. Gorgeous scenery! Pro tip: get there early. This place is so busy in the summer you'll be packed like smelly sardines on the buses in and out.
We have about 10 more national parks to cross off our list before we've done them all and this quickly fell into our top 5. I could spent all day trying to write about the experience. You just NEED TO GO HERE.
This place is just flat out awesome. Come see for yourself you won't be disappointed!
Amazing trek. The precipice trek was amazing. Campaign sites were great. Adventure...great food... beach.. Star gazing... Camp fire.. friends.. music and horror stories
We only had time for a drive on the loop and the sights were stunning. Even from a limited road. The parks were well maintained. The view was stunning, absolutely breath taking.
Excellent place. I enjoy hiking and biking quite a lot, and there were tons of challenging roads and trails to have fun on. The views on the mountains are exceptional and the park is very clean. The rangers in the Visitor's Center were very nice and helpful. They can help you find the trail that is right for you. I recommend attending this glorious park!
Very nice! Worth the visit while in Maine. A bit expensive the entrance but worth it. $30 per car or $15 per person... not student discount
It’s a beautiful national park, I highly recommend. The trails are easy, pet friendly & family friendly. Look out for the Loons, you can hear them calling out for each other. (Go to thunder hole during high tide)
This park is for pure nature lovers. You won't find here much nature wonders like in west US coast national parks, but you will find here peace and relaxing place to stay for more than a day as we did. It is definitely worth visiting if being in Maine!
Beautiful national park. We never run out of things to do and see here. Perfect for all ages and multi generation families. Make sure to check in at the visitors center to find out what's going on during your stay.
Great views. Bring good shoes and give yourself plenty of daylight.
Have been going there for 40 years.. great hiking, swimming etc and you must have “ popovers “ at Jordan Pond House...slathered with butter and strawberry jam!
Top 3 national parks I have been to. Every hiking trail is incredible and the people are so nice! It’s a good thing it’s out of the way for most people to visit or else there would be too many people to enjoy it.
Having been to other great national parks in the US, Acadia is good but certainly not one of the best. The best place to visit here is caddilac mountain at sunset. All the spots can be easily covered in 1.5 days. Drive from NYC was exhausting.
One of God's beautiful creations... Hit the 10 highlights on your trip. Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and Otter Cliffs are all right together...
Beautiful sights to see every angle of this island. Highlights to not miss include: Cadillac and Acadia mountain, Jordan Pond, and Bar Island. Acadia mountain was a bit of a strenuous hike when doing the full loop or starting from the wrong parking lot.
One of the most beautiful national parks in this nation! You can do the easy drive, or the moderate or intense hike. All within minutes of the wonderful town of Bar Harbor.
Nice cool places to see. The Thunder Hole is ten busiest spot in the entire island in my experience in late September. The Precipice Trail is extreme and fun but its not for a person who hates heights or the person who is big and overweight....
Ha! Like anything in nature is less than 5 stars. But for pure beauty, great hiking, amazing vistas and fabulous food and good times, you can't beat a trip to Acadia.
We had a wonderful vacation in this seaside paradise. Clean fresh air, great trails gorgeous climbs, and nice campgrounds...just be prepared to find a store with coin operated showers:). The campgrounds only have toilets, not bath houses:(
My favorite national park, also on a clear night you can see the Milky Way and it is so so stunning. absolutely beautiful, a great place to get lost
Love it a lot. We come here every year in September or October. The house we regularly rent in Southwest Harbor is excellent, very clean and well appointed.
Amazing views. Always a great time. Beautiful trails to hike. Can not wait to coke back !!
An amazing place and still room to be alone. Put on hiking boots and get out of your car, there is more to see then Thunderhole, Jordan Pond, Sand beach, and Cadillac. We have been more then a dozen times since coming to Maine four years ago, and still find new things every single trip.
Acadia is always an awesome place to visit - bike the Carriage Roads, see Thunder Hole, do some hikes, enjoy the day, and in the fall...enjoy the fall color!
Lots to see and do. Nice bus rides to where you want to go. Had a great day in the park.
I can't even describe how beautiful everything is on the trails throughout the park. Lots of options: easy flat hikes, moderate rocky hikes, long steep hikes that requires ladders... There's an experience for everyone, and the views are spectacular.
Loved it. Beautiful scenery and well kept trails and facilities. Some wheelchair accessible trails.
Gorgeous! Amazing views, and the park was very clean. There are restrooms and a gift shop close by. Very much enjoyed the view, would absolutely come back. Highlight of the trip.
Very popular and parking can be frustrating, but the park is beautiful. Plenty of scenery and places to relax or hike, just plan to arrive early if you want to visit the more popular spots, like Jordan Pond, Sand Beach, Thunder Hole.
Cadillac Mountain reveals a breath-taking view of the rocky shoreline and sunrise. You will want to spend time sitting on the rocks and enjoying the view.
Loved it. Even nice in the rain. But don't bother with sunrise on Cadillac Mountain this time of year (October). It was 32 degrees f. With a 25 knot wind, burrrrrr. Sand Beech and all the rest is Wonderful!. And best of all Bar Harbor is right there.
I love everything about Acadia National Park except how crowded it gets in the summer. Get there early if you want to find parking. Amazing trails, mountains, beaches, it has it all for nature lovers. Great history too. My mom and I volunteered for trail maintenance one day this summer and had a great time. It's a wonderful thing to do if you want to give something back to the park.
One of the top parks in the country. Time your visit to thunder hole. Pay attention to the tide tables. Get to Cadillac mountain early for parking before sunrise and sunsets. They are spectacular!
Most beautiful place. Mesmerizing sunrise from Cadillac mountain. Entire family enjoyed the vacation.
Beautiful park. Trails for all levels. We loved hiking as well as riding bike on the carriage roads.
The park is not only fun and beautiful but the unique views and places to see are outstanding! The island is full of things to do for hikers, bikers, and car sightseeing. It's a lot bigger than it looks on a map.
We are lucky enough to love close to Acadia and visit year round. Even during the busiest times there is a trail to beat the swarms of people.
Beautiful national Park! Great hiking and great views! Would recommend to anyone that loves nature, hiking and beautiful scenery!
Beautiful scenery!! Trails available for hiking plus horse back riding. I also seen some rock climbers. Whether you drive slowly through the park or stop, you'll love this place!!!
We love Acadia for the hiking, biking, and just plain scenic beauty. The park loop road is a great ride and there are miles and miles of hard packet fine gravel carriage roads to bike with never a car in sight. Cadillac mt sunset is a must see, and Jordan Pond House is the place for tea. And popovers with Maine strawberry preserves.
You gotta go here. Great park, so much to see and do. From a beautiful beach to the top of a mountain with a great view to cliffs to a scenic pond and more. We loved it and will go back to see what we missed. Buses are great, can get you to Bar Harbor and many places on Desert Island for free. Whale and wildlife watching, lobster trapping, boat rides and more.
We went every day we were. The stars were breathtaking, the nature was soul inspiring, and the water was soothing. Part of what made it amazing was no cell service, allowing the mind to just wonder and relax, being surrounded by the beauty of nature and sounds. I will come back again.
Bike trails around Eagle Lake and Witch Hole Pond were in excellent shape. Early Fall foliage was beautiful.
Breathtakingly beautiful. Worth every penny of the park admission pass. An experience I will treasure.
Visiting Acadia National Park was an unforgettable experience, which I would highly recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors. The park is scenic and truly offers something for everyone, the campsites are well maintained, the trail system offers a variety of hikes for all abilities and even the drives within the park are scenic and filled with lots of stops along the way for pictures!
Fantastic national park. Truly enjoyed our day here and wish we had more time! Looking forward to visiting again in the future. The walk around Jordan's Pond was fantastic although the rocks made the "peaceful walk" a little challenging
Coming from bar harbor . turned into park first stop visitor center...had to climb stairs to get there 50+ steps I believe....not add a handicap....leaving we find another route to top. Not clearly indicated at entrance....beware!!! They need better signage
It's amazing despite of so much traffic always the park loop road is really well maintained. But the parking always seems to be kind of a hustle here during weekends. Love the sand beach, really beautiful and blue waters.
There is so much to see and do that you could never see it all. So many different levels of trails, views and experiences. Take the time to plan out your day, there are great places to park and many interconnected trails. September was perfect for parking and avoiding crowds but the shuttle would be helpful as well.
Acadia National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Maine. A lot of the low ratings/bad reviews are all because of parking problems. I will admit, there are a lot of tourists and it is crowded during peak seasons. However, I have also been in late fall/early spring and did not encounter traffic or overcrowding.
Stunning views. Cadillac Mtn. had amazing views of the bay. Landscape of glacial rocks was fascinating. Well worth a visit.
An exceptional National Park. Countless breathtaking views, excellent trails varying from casual to intense, free shuttles that take you (almost) everywhere. Truly a wonderful experience. Parking can be a pain during peak season, but go during the Spring or Fall and it's a snap. My biggest complaint would be the free shuttles do not run to the top of Cadillac Mountain - assuredly so paid tour companies can advertise that as a feature. You'll see lots of buses heading up there. It is a spot most people want to see, for good reason, so I think this is a bit of a shame. I can't recommend Acadia enough. If you're looking for a casual hike with a spectacular pay-off, I'd suggest the North Ridge Trail. If you want something a bit more unique and difficult, The Beehive. If you're feeling adventurous, The Precipice, which requires the use of iron rungs and ladders embedded in the mountainside you'll need to climb straight up roughly 1,000 feet to get to the peak. An absolute blast.
The best in the East, Everything you want in a National Park . The Ocean, mountains, lakes, camping, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking. Awesome views in a picturesque setting. Historic background adds flavor to this must see destination. All levels of access, with handicapped respect throughout. The Cart trail is designed to make everyone happy. Dog friendly with leash.
One of my favorite places in the US. Majestic, serene & beautiful. You can drive up & take a short walk or hike (my suggestion).
Plenty of trails and hikes to undertake here. The 'Eastern' island/section of the park is busier than the 'Western' part (the area by the Seawall Ranger station). Certainly has something worthwhile for every person whether it's a long hike or a drive to Cadillac mountain.
Simply stunning part of the world. Enjoyed a lovey hike up Beech Mountain and back down. Easy climb for a novice and breathtaking views.
More than we could take in in a day, we did a fee short hikes, drove up Cadillac mountain and saw the thunder hole. Definitely a must see if you make it up this way.
We started visiting Acadia 20 years ago and have loved it so deeply and have come back so often that we decided to move to Maine. We now live less than an hour from the park and it's our year round playground. Most beautiful place I've ever been!
Oh, my heart! I love Acadia NP so much! Tips for visitors: Get to the main attractions early in order to snag a parking spot. Please, please, please keep your pets leashed. While everyone else is bagging the peaks, check out some trails that might be overlooked. My suggestion is Asticou from Jordan Pond to Seal Harbor. Absolutely ethereal. I'm certain that fairies live there. Breathe in the fresh air and be kind to everyone. Enjoy!
Absolutely gorgeous. My mission team and I went here on our off day and the pastor of the church we stayed at took us on beehive trail and Jordan pond trail. It was amazing. I highly recommend going here if you are in Maine. Also, the couple beaches they have are gorgeous too. The Atlantic is just gorgeous
This is truly our happy place. There's always something new to discover / learn, a different trail to try, and abundant wildlife to see.
I would recommend this place to everyone! Outstanding! One of the most beautiful places I have been to. Need to spend a few days here exploring all the trails.
Beautiful place! Can get busy during holiday but not overcrowded. Choose less popular hikes to enjoy the peace and the stunning nature!
The hikes on the west side of the park farthest from bar harbor were the least crowded. Beautiful place but like everywhere, overcrowding ruins the experience. Arrive early to find parking or go deep in the off season.
This park is absolutely stunning. From sunrise on Cadillac Mountain (highly recommend) to a beautiful hike around Jordan Pond that culminates with delicious popovers at Jordan Pond House, Acadia is a must see. It is truly an incredible experience. In addition to Cadillac Mountain and Jordan Pond, the Ocean Path Trail and Thunder Hole are great places to see while you are there. Bar Harbor is also a bustling little town with so much to eat and do at the end of a day of hiking. Your visits to the park can be as family friendly as you want depending on which trails and sights you decide on seeing. I would highly recommend seeing Acadia at some point in your life as it is a truly profound experience.
Such a beautiful park. Mountains, water, and forest, along with quaint villages, all make for a great day of being in nature. There are so many hikers and bikers that the Park Service needs to create more parking lots. Apparently LOTS of nature lovers have discovered Acadia National Park.
We did a tour bus and horse drawn carriage ride. Great experience, but I could tell most parking lots were over crowded with cars. Lots of visitors. Not as quiet as you would hope for. Last year 6 million people visited this park
Great hiking area. Rocky, rugged, and ocean views. What more could you want?
Absolutely loved visiting Acadia. Highly recommend hiking around Thunder Hole, Otter Creek and Jordan Pond. We drove to the top of Cadillac Mountain, and while the view was great it gets very crowded in the summer. Spread out around the park and check out the other views!
Postcard worthy vistas...Mountains, beaches, oceans... This park sparked my interest in National Parks in general. I highly doubt anywhere near where I live in Ohio will be able to live up to these views.
Absolutely gorgeous views everywhere. The view from Cadillac Mountain is worth it! Tons of hiking trails for every skill level. The cairns are great. The ring road is a lovely drive. Two days was certainly two weeks too little! Can't wait to return next year.
This is a beautiful National park. Take the time to walk the trails instead of just driving through. There is so much more to see when you take the little trails that aren't marked as well.
Acadia was seriously a magical place. The water was so blue and clean and the sights were amazing to see. The sunset from Cadillac mountain (which is better driving down the road, not from the top of the mountain) was amazing.
Awesome experience. Best place for hikers,bikers...worth visiting
Something for all ages! Nature, sight seeing, new and old experiences. Nature, shopping, quiet, busy! It's the place for all. Love it here! Great place to discover yourself. What Maine is all about.
More beautiful that I imagined. I wish I could harvest the smell of the pine trees and the ocean. I couldn’t get enough. The stars at night were like a movie scene it was so hard to believe how brilliant they were it actually made me cry!!
There is WAY too much to explore in the Park & Islands in just 4 days when I was there. I'll definitely have to come back! The Mountain Loop hike was great off of Carriage Rd.
We had such an amazing experience at the park! Come with a planned out itinerary and you can make the most out of your experiences at the park :)
Acadia was an amazing experience! I only went for two days, but I could stay a week and not see everything.
This is one of the most breathtaking place I have been to in the north east. Definitely a must see. Many trails and stuff to explore.
Awesome place to visit. Lots of great trails, especially up the mountains. Looking forward to coming back some day.
Nothing short of amazing - great trails, beautiful beaches and shorelines, the park loop road is a great drive and there are gift shops for rainy days and food locations. It's nice that bar harbor is so close for a visit too. Visit on a weekday for lower crowd levels!
Acadia is one of the best National Parks we have. It gets thousands of visitors every year, but the staff works hard to care for the land and the facilities. This park has a special feel to it. Spend some time in silence. Let the sounds of the wind in pines and the waves rolling onto the rocks calm your soul.
Cant even begin to do this place justice in writing. If you have the chance you have to spend a few days checking out the park. A week would be even better!
I honestly don’t know how someone would rate this less than 5 ⭐️. Gorgeous, easy accessible, yet large enough to accommodate the massive throngs of humans that descend onto the island annually. Go.
I loved this spot. We look Olis Trolley up to the peak as we didn't have heaps of time. A beautiful place. Would have been nice to walk up there. A must do when in the area.
So awesome. We were here the last day of the season and it was 73 and sunny. Lots of nice hikes and accommodation nearby.
No words can describe this place. Amazing, gorgeous views. If you have never been then make plans to go. A moose walked across the path just a few yards in front of me.
One of nature's most beautiful wonders is this place. Never ending exploration and scenaries. Parking is bit difficult so better go by bus.
Fantastic views from the top of Cadillac mountain. The trees are just turning color early October. Beautiful scenery at every turn
Awesome park with so many fun trails to hike at varying degrees of difficulty. Everything truly is beautiful, from the rocky coast to the dense forest all on one island. It's a must visit for any family or individual, there's something for everyone.
A beautiful place. Unfortunately the very first vista point we came to offered an outstanding view of three cruise ships. Being the cynic I am, a lot of palms were greased with a lot of MONEY to allow that. That reeks.
This is on the carriage road. I go there almost every year with my horse. I also hike and love the trails and views
Park is beautiful. Fall colors just starting to pop. From what I saw if you are an avid hiker you will love this place. Don't come in spring as our tour guide describes it as over run with insects as well as being a sea of mud.
What an amazing surprise this park. I wasn't even aware of its existence until three weeks ago, when my wife decided to come here. If you love nature, great views as hiking, you can't miss Acadia National Park. There are dozens of options from beginners to experts. But all of them with great scenery. Highly recommended
No words or pics from cellphones, do this place any justice. So much beauty here. From the different overlook points around the park, to stargazing on Cadillac Mountain, and camping. Highly recommended. Here are some pictures
Beautiful scenery. Fairly easy access. Great views.
We had a great time in Acadia National Park. There are some great things to see. Someone in our group recently had foot surgery, but that didn't prevent us from seeing most of the main attractions: Otter Cliffs, Park Loop Road (ONE-WAY @ TIMES), Thunder Hole, the top of Cadillac Mountain, Sand Beach, Ocean and Shore Path, etc. Beautiful.
Beautiful park that requires some planning and early rise due to limited parking. The shuttle system is efficient enough to avoid most parking issues. Strongly recommend the walk to Bar Island at low tide
Great fall hiking. Carriage trails are great for leisurely strolls with dogs. Some of the other trails have steeper grades, wooden planks, or rock traverses which can be tougher with dogs or kids
One of my top 5 favorite national parks (and I have been to the majority of them). Amazing vistas, hikes, and coastline. The Park is an aggregate of park land and some private properties spread over several peninsulas/islands. Some of the vertical hiking on Beehive, Precipice, Jordan’s Pond, etc. is incredible for numerous reasons but are not for everyone. You need relatively good physical fitness to make these trails safely. Many non challenging trails as well. Some of the associated towns like Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor etc are a pleasure to visit. Although and unfortunately Bar Harbor has become quite the junk shop Mecca. But still worth the visit. Can be difficult to find parking at attractions when busy. However, the entire Park is covered with transit bus routes that are free due to corporate sponsors. Recommend that you consider parking at one of the bus lots and using hop on/hop off service.
Beautiful park one of my new favorite places. What a great place to hike and enjoy nature. You can catch the shuttle to everywhere. There is so much to see it's incredible.
Mount desert island has been great so far considering how foggy it is, the people over at bar harbor have barricaded themselves into the edge of the dock for some reason, and I came across some people in some sort of navy armor that told me “Embrace Atoms division” what a strange experience! Nice place overall, just watch out for the 14 foot tall shrimp and that giant crab in the van near the cinema
Great national park with good scenery and lots of family friendly trails. We were lucky enough to catch it with some very good fall colors.
Been coming here since 78. Still a beautiful place to visit with the exception of cruise ships in Frenchman's Bay. Just doesn't jive with me.
I lived in Blue Hill, Maine a few miles outside of Acadia National Park for 10 years and had the privilege of having access to this beautiful place both in the warmer season but also in the quieter, less traveled time. Such a special place.
Mother Nature at her best! Colors are starting to change and the air is filled with the scent of pine trees. Road to Cadillac Mountain are perfect.
We love Acadia so much we come every year. Great viewals, great hikes, near Bar Harbor. Place is perfect.
Acadia is a very nice national park. It has many trails and good driving access with vistas of Maine and of the ocean and inshore islands, There are several lakes and plenty of things to do. We were not scheduled to be in the area long so we decided to take an early morning drive on the loop road around the park. The visitor's center was not open yet so we just started our drive. We did not realize that we needed a pass from the visitor's center just to be able to drive that road. I never saw any signs about that until we got to the Cadillac Mountain Peak. At that point, we finished our drive just like we would have anyway but we were supposed to get a pass. We were there during the off season. If we had been there during busy season, it would have been a bigger problem. Also, if you drive the Loop Road, it is important to drive in a clockwise direction around the look. That road becomes one-way and you cannot complete a loop driving counter clockwise. A stop at the visitor's center would have been very helpful to us but we just didn't have time.
I love Acadia National Park. There are so many nice places to hike, it has gorgeous scenery, and nice places to swim. Tourist season can be super busy, late Fall is the best time to come (imo).
I only had a brief visit as I was in the area for work. We went to the top of Cadillac Mountain and it was just breath taking. I would live to come back and see more of the park one day
Cadillac mountain and sand beach are a must! Parking is a huge issue at this national park so plan accordingly! Bar Harbor is close and has multiple good but expensive food options! We liked theAtlantic Brewery! Overall, worth visiting one time, especially in fall!
Absolutely love this park. The carriage roads are amazing for cycling and the scenery is lovely. We went in September and had great weather for cycling around and around in different directions and on different paths.
Acadia is special in the wide variety of terrains it provides, as well as the incredible network of carriage roads (now biking trails). This park is best explored off-road, so plan on securing bikes or bringing a solid pair of shoes. You will see things you cannot see from the relatively crowded roads and parking lots.
Acadia is honestly one of the wonders of this world. If you're a nature person and have actually spent your time in Acadia, you know what I mean. This place is absolutely breathtaking. Not only is most of the national park entirely free to enter, it is MASSIVE. You could spend a month here and not even do half of what this park has to offer. Acadia's trails range from even lower than beginner to extreme. There's something for everything here. From a nice Sandy stroll on the beach to climbing up rocks a couple thousand feet in the air, you cannot get bored. Beaches , lakes, mountain tops, and cliffs, this place has it all. A final note. If you want a truly mind opening and amazing view that calms your mind. Watch a sunset from the top of Cadillac mountain. You'll never see anywhere more beautiful.
Very nice park. Kids had a blast with all the trails and hiking.. Beautiful deep blue sea and rock formations.
Great time here! Rode rented Pedego bikes 23 miles in Acadia National Park. Great spot to rent e-bikes right near harbor. Highly recommend them!
Great place to site see and hike. Lots of trails leading to points of interest. Roads provide close parking to popular areas.
It's a great place. Everyone should go. Lots if hiking, lots overlooks, a few places to camp, a few little towns to visit as well. Cadillac Mountain can be pretty windy so be prepared for temperature drop.
Beautiful Park with plenty to see and do. Most admission lasts a week, giving you plenty of time to see a lot of the island. There are free buses that take you to a good amount of the important places to stop. There are paid tours as well that may take you to areas the free buses do not
Absolutely stunning geography and charming harbor towns, as well as exceptional seafood and hiking. Not as well known as other national parks, don't cross this one off your list. A must see and the first place in the United States to see the sunrise.
Wow. I was excited to visit this park, but it exceeded my expectations. The combination of the Fall color and the ocean shores was amazing. The loop road is two lanes, but one way. This allows lots of rubber-necking and even parking in the right lane without stopping traffic. Brilliant. I will be back even though I am from the West Coast!
Great scenic views all around, definitely use the shuttles if you plan on going to Jordan's pond house. The parking fills up quick. The visitor center have some of the best jams made here that are made in Jordan pond house!
Nowhere but the coast of Maine does the granite create such lovely coastal views. Very glad of the foresight of special people who have preserved such beauty and created an amazing national park we can all enjoy!
I love Acadia National Park! It's so beautiful and the hiking is top-notch. If you're a photo buff you can get some awesome pics.
One among many national Park in USA in Maine. Lovely boat cruise . Spotted bald eagles, porpoise, sea full etc. Great walk along Jordan pond. Family enjoying space. A must go place
This is an incredible place with amazing ocean and mountain vistas. If you are a national park fanatic, this is a must see park. Dont miss Sand Beach and Jordan Pond.
Very crowded, but gorgeous views. Easily accessible through most modes of transportation. They offer a free shutter bus with individual passes.
I live just an hour away from this place. So u have been here so many times. Love this place. Its got an very positive vibe and i think that is the main reason people keep returning to this place. My favorite spot is Cadillac mountains. I love hiking to there. Its a really great place to visit especially in fall. I would totally recommend this place to anyone. If you visit this place, it’s gonna be worth it.
Don't miss Bass Harbor Lighthouse, Jordan Pond, and Ship Harbor trail. If you eat at Jordan Pond House: the popovers are a must. If you have time, take Bubble Rock trail. It's only 1/2 mile one way, but it takes a half hour to get up there.
Acadia National Park is a treasure in Maine! It is a must visit. It is so well marked that you get to enjoy every aspect it offers from mountains, an underwater cave, pond, beach, and so on.
This is by far one of the best places I have been to. The oceans, hikes, forests, beach, mountains, sunrise, and the list goes on and on. You need at least a two day to visit all of the main attraction points. The more you stay, the more you explore. Even the free shuttle services are great and you can get rid of the hassle of finding parking in popular places if it's a busy season. Reserve the campground in advance, there are plenty of options available.
We spent 3 nights in Bar Harbor and a good portion of it in Acadia. Amazing sights and see! Don't take my word for it, check out my pics.
The junior Ranger program at Acadia is by far the best we have ever been to. The park is full of beautiful things to do and see.
The park rangers were extremely helpful answering all of our questions about the park. The actual park was extremely clean and a lovely scenic drive
Great park. Favorite park is carriage roads. It is one of the unique aspects of Acadia that no other park has to offer. Thanks Mr. Rockefeller.
Pretty nice beach a little small. And we were in Maine the hottest day of the year. Odd thing was the water at best was 45-50° doesn't sound bad until you get in. It's not pleasant at all.
A beautiful wonder if nature! Carriage trails, mountains to hike, bodies of water next to cliffs and mountains; everything that pleases the eye and soothes the soul!
Loved Acadia. Watched the Sunrise on Cadillac Mountain. Breathtaking views. Hiked Great head trail and around Jordan pond.
We absolutely love it here. So many trails and things to do. Great place to camp and make family memories.
Although we came during the high point of tourist season we were able to avoid most of the traffic and craziness by getting in the park very early. The views and experiences are beyond memorable and I understand why it's such a busy park.
