I really enjoyed this lake. Nice clear water good fishing. The lake is a destination on the Louisiana bass trail. The state park has one boat ramp with limited parking, a restroom, splash pad for the kids, and swimming area. It has numerous RV spots and a fishing pier. It cost 3 dollars to enter for persons over 3 and under 65 years of age. all in all a nice place to go to relax with the fam.

Excellent state park campground. Beautiful out of the way spot. Only about 1/4 full midweek. Lakefront with no neighbors on either adjacent site. Bathhouse is clean and well air conditioned.

Love this place! Friendly staff. Make reservation if you want a waterfront spot. They have a water/splash area that is great to cool down and looks like fun for the kids. Swimming area for the lake is perfect for the hot weather. Nice cool and clean. The handicap bathroom and showers are huge!

We had nice day at the lake! The beach was small but shady and the kids seemed to be having a blast on the splash pad. Some areas of the park were a little rundown looking but overall it was a nice little get away spot.

I went there as a little girl, it was my most favorite place to go in the world. Hadn't been in years up until recently, a couple weekends ago. Place hadn't been mowed but a lot has changed since then I can honestly say I had the perfect time with my friends and family.

Our campground was muddy the nine days were there. Campground are very close to gether. Out of nine days the splash pad was working one day. We will not back.

We loved the cabin. Fully stocked. Just a few small issues were that bed is cheap & creaks every time you move. Needs a light over kitchen sink. Dead bugs on floor in bathroom. But other than that you have beautiful sunsets, a grill, nice deck to enjoy, and spacious enough for 2 people. We will definitely come back.

I really enjoyed this surprising gold mine in the midst of the bayous of Louisiana. I came to the park for other reasons but found myself just enjoying the park itself. I used the park as a location finder for my civil war research but wound up staying in the park for a few hours enjoying the Spectacular views. You get a great sense of the peace and serenity of the area in this park and it is wonderful venue for the creative spirit. Fishing is good. The people are very friendly and you can boat, picnic or frolic here. Definitely a well kept secret.

Lake is beautiful but campground is run down. Bathrooms are clean. Beach was terrible, dirty and overgrown with weeds. Grass needs to be cut. Slash pad did not work at all. Electricity kept going out, we had to call the office multiple times. At one point half the campgrounds electricity went out. Needs some TLC! Not worth the trip.

I've camped here many times over the years, and have always enjoyed my stay. Went today my boat just to fish. I did notice campsites are very wet. Pads are high and dry, but when you get off your better have boots. This is due mostly to the Mississippi river being well above flood stage. They have had a fair amount of rain locally too.

I'd give it no stars if I could. This place is false advertising. It's basically a trailer park. Drove 3 hours to get there to not be able to camp. They also would not give us our money back which was over priced. We wouldn't of been able to cook anything because the grill was soaken wet, like flooded. No privacy at all. No woods either just a lake. We had to pass through what looked like a post apocalyptic town(several of them) its pretty depressing. But it was a trailer park. Only good for fishing for the locals. Not worth driving there. It needs to stay undiscovered.
