Oceans of Fun was fun but in the adult pool the drinks are watered down and you can only get one at a time. Security followed us around even though we rented a cabana. We had several black men with us, I guess that made them suspicious and warranted us being followed around the park.

It's fun, a great place to hang out. I have a gold pass and food pass, and it definitely pays for itself quickly. It's cheaper than buying food before hand, or even at the park.

Kinda wish they would get more water type rides to make it feel more like a water park rather then a pool but other than that it was absolutely amazing! Dont worry about not haveing a locker just put your stuff by someone an its kinda just a general thing to look out for one another great vibe great atmosphere.

I am a season pass holder and my perspective comes from there. The park is clean and generally well maintained, and most slides and rides function pretty well, though breakdowns do happen. The concrete becomes very hot on summer days and WOF (Worlds of Fun) should do more to cool them, visitors should expect to wear footwear everywhere they travel in the park. The staff is well trained, respectful and generally friendly. The life guards are top notch and do not hesitate to take action if necessary. Guests should listen and obey their instructions. Food is well prepared and generally fairly priced typical to any amusement park, though outside food is allowed in the park. We find the drink plans and meal plans to be a good value and recommend them to those that plan to visit frequently. The adult only area (21& up) needs some attention from WOF, as people FREQUENTLY duck under the ropes (no signage to prevent it). WOF should institute a method that all tube riders must leave their tubes outside the ride BEFORE exiting the ride to allow others to ride. Frequently poorly mannered guests leave the ride with their tube, walk by guests that have been waiting for a tube, and get back in line to ride again. Oceans of Fun does get very crowded on weekends, but otherwise is a good place to go to cool off on a hot summer day.

Tons of fun. Predator plunge was the most thrilling thing I've done in a very long time. The fact that you can take in water bottles is awesome. That being said everything inside the park is so pricey, that's why they only get 4 stars.

My family and I have been going here every summer for the past five years. It's always a blast. My wife is not into thrill rides but I am so this place is perfect for us. There's a relaxing lazy pool and at least two large areas dedicated to toddlers. There's several large slides for thrill seekers and a Cabana that serves alcohol for the adults (fun times ☺). This place is a definite must visit. Bring sunblock and get ready to have a great time

I am giving them a 4 star for the fact the staff that works the store, food & drink station needs improvement on customer friendliness. I understand a few bad apples but after a dozen it needs looked at. If you ask them a question you can tell the HATE their job & rather not be there. My child was bleeding & we went into the gift store to ask where 1st aide is (cause it’s not marked well around there) we saw one clerk acting like he was busy lol we said sorry to bother you now (mind by now the blood is running down & is noticeably by now.) Where is the 1st aide located... With a very putout event they told us. Then they told us, with a sad attitude they said “you know where that is” when realistically no I didn’t hadn’t been there in 4 yrs but believe me I wasn’t going to put them out anymore. Now I do want to give kudos to the life guards all I can say is WOW... they are amazing. We have been to so many water parks around the world & Ocean of Fun are amazing. Every single water area had the same response WOW AMAZING. They took their jobs seriously & I am very thankful for them. We saw a person almost drowned & they were all over it. In fact in my review for water parks lifeguards I will be using Ocean of Fun as a role model. Thank you for keeping us safe. All in all this was a nice park yes would I recommend you going yes. I am hoping with my suggestions I will be able to use Ocean of Fun staff as a role model in the near future ❤️

Enjoyed the water in the tide pool, that's our kids favorite. Disappointed that there are not more floats, and that people carry them around the park and do not share/take turns. The park needs more floats. Food is great! Need more supervisors, or more people to be able to enter codes into cash register if issues, as you have to wait for a supervisor to walk across the whole park. Lifeguards are great, already have seen two of them jump into the wave pool, to help kids.

Its really fun. I suggest t ok go in the morning when they open but if you don't have a season pass they won't let you in, you would have to wait until 11. But other than that it's a very fun place.

The water park is nice, but I only go on specific days to avoid massive crowds on the weekends which make it unbearable. Food is good, but most of the restaurants have crummy service and can be a bit messy to downright filthy.

Great place to go with a family! Try to leave unnecessary items in the car because it was $15 to rent out a locker. We went on a Monday so our wait time for rides was between 0-5 minutes. However, later in the day it was around 30 minutes for the more popular rides. At the end of the day would definitely go back again because it was a lot of fun!

Very fun and clean and nice staff. They need to update there water slides though they are a little behind the great water park's slides. But great family fun. I only thing I didn't like was that once we got into the park we had to wait in line at the rental place to get our cups, fast past, dining wristbands. This line is directly in the sun with no shade and only had one girl working. We were dripping sweat which wasn't fun. I'd recommend providing some shade for this line. I wouldn't want my guest frustrated 15 seconds after walking into my park. Other than that great time.

Great family fun, definitely need 2 days just to experience park itself. Recommend buying the pass that let's u go to front of the line or you will spend all day waiting. Could have better signs indicating where things are, also with unlimited meal plan needs more options and vendors.

It could be better if the life guards would stop blowing their whistles at us for no apparent reasons. The life guards here are just bored of their jobs and make up reasons to get on to people for no reason. With all do respect i absoulutly love this park but dang we need better life guards that do their job properly. If your reading this thank you and i hope for a better experience for my next stay. Keep it up making this park a better environment for everyone.

Place is fun, their card system is horrible. I have 4 season passes. If you have a food plan on a kids card and that child doesn't come their card doesn't get scanned, right? Well even though you have a food plan as a family you can't use the card unless it's scanned. No alternative offered like new cards or anything, apparently no way around it. So, if you put food on your kids card like we do for the time she goes with her friends, make sure those are the cards that are scanned upon entering. Overall, the kids enjoy the park, and I enjoy the sun.

Pretty busy for a Wednesday. There were lots of people and still plenty of inner tubes. Even with all the people we were able to leave our stuff on the lounge chairs and no one bothered it. Way to go KC. Water was very clean in all attractions. Sadly food is way over priced and underrated, which makes it harder for the average person to spend more than a few hours there.

It's a must go when in Kansas City especially now that Schlitterbahn is shut down. It was a heat index of over 100 the day we went. Kids had a full day of fun here.

Big change from 30 years ago, but the wave pool was divide off and to get into adult pool you needed your identification. Why the heck don't you ask at the entrance and then put a wrist band in there? Poor management!

Oceans of Fun today was really a four-star day but I have to give it 3 for the following reasons; handicapped parking was both inadequate and full before noon. I expected food to be overpriced but 24.99 for a footling from SUBWAY. GET REAL!Also very few guards watching way too many people. the facilities are nice and it was a lovely day. There seem to be enough chairs and enough tubes on the lazy river... all good things but the aforementioned items kind of put a damper on the day.

Great place to take the kids or grandchildren. Wave pool, lazy river, kids area with pirate ship, paddleboats and kayaks; Life Guards everywhere. Plenty of security because it can get very crowded. The earlier you get there, the better spot you can get for either shade or sun.

Was a little disappointed at the refreshment stations. Lots were down, and they weren't prepared for non-souvineur cup purchasers at all. Frustrating on such a hot day. Lifeguards were good though for a very crowded day.

Adding in lodging that is inside the complex means out crew can get one price for everything, set up, and just walk everywhere!!! Top notch staff, top notch attractions, and room to spread out. Refused to let 2 year old slide with my sister and decided to send him down after. He got stuck in a corner and they didnt alert anyone, then yelled as my brother-in-law in military panic ran up to look for his kid, when questioning the lifeguard where his son was she couldn't be bothered to take her whistle out or even give him an answer or turn to look for him, instead rolling her eyes at him. Luckily, my nephew knew to sit up and butt-scoot down, but if he hadn't he could have drowned and none of the life guards would have cared. NOT a good sign for a WATER PARK.

It seemed like no one knew what they were doing from rides to food. We spent 2hrs in the food court because they kept telling us to go to different places for gluten free options. The one place that was supposed to have those options was open and hour, no sign on the door or anything, had no food because their steamer broke. No one bothered to tell me this as I hobbled in my medical boot up a flight of stairs. The girls behind the counter kept smiling awkwardly and then piece by piece finally told us what was going on. Throughout the park we would ask directions or where to recharge the cart at and no one knew much of anything. It was disappointing to say the least. I wanted to like it there but felt very let down.

Great fun! Lots of life guards, clean water, clean outside, good police presence. Lots of activities, decorated very pretty, and right next to World's of Fun. Only complaint is bathroom/shower/changing room. It's old, wet, dirty, and needs remodelling and better drainage!! Worst part is, much of the ugliness comes from dozens and dozens of hygiene protectors from swim suits stuck on the walls, floors, benches... Time to have a little class ladies! Mother's need to teach their daughters not to be trashy slobs please. Other than that, I think it's a great place!

Oceans of Fun was a great way to cool down in the afternoons. We had fun as a family and as adults we enjoyed alone time in the adult pool while the kids enjoyed the water slides.The water park is smaller than I expected and remembered. We went on Monday and Tuesday, the crowds were thin and able to get on slides quickly.

Just because the website says they are open, and the "FAQs" section of their website states that unless it is severe weather they will remain open, it's still a good idea to call them before driving 75 miles one way to find out they are really closed. What a waste of time and gas. Very disappointed.

This Review is mainly for the Adult Pool. Tip; The early birds get the best loungers and location. There are a lot of shaded areas in the adult area so if sun is your desire and you want a lounger in the sun..Come Early. Next. The drink prices are crazy high. Beer $10. They most likely do this to detour people from drinking so much. Bring your drivers license to get in the adult area. Pass alone wont cut it. They need ID. When you enter the park your bag is going to get searched. This is for safety people. If your not sure what you can bring, visit the website. It explains everything. There is a designated smoking area inside the adult village. You can bring your food from the park restaurants inside the adult village. There are a few umbrella tables to eat at but that’s also the smoking area. If your drinking at the pool bar in the water, do not pee in the pool. Your urine will turn the water red and everyone will know you peed in the pool. Lol I could be telling the truth.... See you there, stay thirsty my friends!

I had a great time with some girl friends, first stop- new KC flip-flops, then caught a few waves. Pretzel and cheese snack hit the spot. Ended the day with swim/walk race in the Cove pool. And of course I enjoyed an alcohol free fruit drink poolside.

Expensive for what it offers, but if you plan right, enjoyable. Buy the season pass. Get either the meal pass, or the daily meal pass and use it. Bring your own water. They don't always have everything open during non-peak so be aware. If you vape or smoke be prepared to only do so in designated areas

Water in lazy river was full of debris (leaves and twigs) like it hadn't been skimmed in quite awhile and we could only find 1 drink station that had ice!! For the amount paid to park, get in and use a locker, I expected a cleaner environment!

Expensive. But you get your money's worth. The oceans of fun is very excellent for hot weather. Worlds of fun itself is also pretty exciting, try something a bit smaller such as spinning dragons and build your courage up then go to something larger. Be warned the Timber Wolf is fun but oh boy I think the ride kicked my butt. The mamba is a very cool roller coaster too. The build-up of this ride can really give suspense to the big drop. The really high swings give a nice view and are probably my personal favorite. I didn't really get scared on that, but was in awe.

There are many attractions that offer plenty of fun for a full day of good swimming. A good length lazy river along with multiple slides. There is plenty of play area for children and still an adult exclusive pool area for drinking and relaxing.

My kids and I love Oceans of Fun! Make sure you purchase any tickets or passes online, because they are cheaper. The food is actually pretty good too. I do wish they had more slides with a lower height restriction.

Excellent family destination for wet, wild rides and relaxation! Enjoy times in the sun with several slides and play areas for all ages. Also available are private cabanas and fast track to avoid long lines, for an extra fee.

It was a weekend, so was a little crowded. The more popular slides had longer lines, but seem to move pretty quickly. We brought our own picnic lunch and went out of the park to eat in the shade. Food and drinks are way overpriced! You can re-enter the park. I also brought bottled water, and could refill from fountains.

Not to mention you can experience the thrill of a slide or the chill of relaxing as an adult. Customer service.....this park caters giving you the total vacay experience. Prices for food/drink are similar to all parks, so take advantage of drink/dine plans OR bring a cooler with your favorites.

Although the website states that you accommodate those with disabilities, when we called they were not accommodating at all. My daughter has multiple food allergies, one that isn't just "gluten free" as my son is. That will be ok, however she requires medical food and liquid diet and unfortunately they are unwilling to help or accommodate us bringing in her food. When asked about the service dog, they were unknowledgeable about the ADA laws. VERY VERY unfortunate and this will prevent her from going. She and I will enjoy a shopping trip instead.

Family always enjoys going. We tend to spend most of our time at the wave pool and lazy River, but also enjoy the other attractions. Highly recommend going through the middle of the week to avoid the huge crowd in weekends. Places could use a touch of paint and updates.

We always enjoy OOF. If you plan on going more than a few times a year, the season pass is definitely the way to go. There is a large variety of slides, pools, and park areas. With the food and drink passes, a visit to OOF is a lot easier and done more often. You get unlimited drinks and two meals a day. Love it.

Oceans of Fun has tons of cool rides, but the wait time in line almost makes it not worth going. Be prepared to wait in a long line to go to the bathroom at the Ladies rooms. Each ride took at least 20 minutes in line. If you want to go on the big rides, you can bank on spending at least 45 minutes in line. Guess you can splurge and buy the fast pass for additional $53+ bucks but at $46 bucks for general admission ticket, the line wait makes it hard to talk myself into going back.

It's fine as far as water parks go, but it's fairly expensive. Definitely buy your tickets online, they are outrageously priced at the gate. The rides are fine, there are several areas suited for smaller children.

I took my Son & 4 of his best friends during the week before school started. We got a great parking spot, the lines were almost non-existent. Although some of them did venture into Worlds of Fun the bulk of the time was spent in the water. They had a great time , wore themselves out & fell asleep early. When teenagers go to bed by 8:00 PM you know they must be exhausted.

Yes. It was SUPER FUN!!! The eats and drings are VERY expensive but we made due. The park is great and the li es weren't terribly lobg compared to what I'm used. All in all, a nice park and I plan to get season passes next year.

Lines are terrible and I don't much care for rubbing elbows with strangers in a pool which was full every single time we went no matter what day or time it was. They really should limit how many people they allow in at one time as it's a total waste of money to go and I say that even though we bought the season passport for Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. Definitely did not get my money's worth and had to contend with a lot of people who don't know how to dress themselves

We went there on the 5th of July. It was cloudy and no lines!! It was an amazing day!! Bathrooms were always spotless! The workers seem extremely unengaged and very unmotivated on the worlds of fun side then we went to the oceans of fun side and I was so impressed with the employees!! Highly engaged and very kind! Prices are extremely high for food and drinks as always.

Very fun and busy. It's gotten very very big but in comparison to a thrill. The slides/rides aren't as much of a thrill. So the lines aren't worth it but they have plenty of places to lounge and hang. Biggest attraction is the wave pool is very great.

First time here. Nice park but probably won't stop again. The water park was geared more toward little kiddos. Expensive parking added on made it not worth the money spent.

My daughter and I went several times this summer and even took friends on discount days. The water slides were fun and we even had some cooler days where we did roller coaster first and then water slides.

Went on a Saturday afternoon so it was packed but we still found a spot in the wave pool. Towards the evening the the adult pool thinned out a bit so that was nice. The lockers are easy to rent (if a bit expensive.) If you plan to go more than once I'd definitely do the season pass.

Some shade areas,semi-friendly staff were focused on their jobs-a plus in children swim areas,very crowded the day we chose to go due to Worlds of Fun(adjacent) having difficulties. The little kids enjoyed it a lot,but the teenagers did not at all...the big kid activities had enormous lines on tall towers...not worth the wait.

The wife and I go because our 2 little boys love it. But it's always SO overcrowded. They seriously need to expand that park. You are literally shoulder to shoulder with everyone. The wife and I had shirts made that say, "I'm a pool pee'er, give me 10'ft". I'm honestly not a water park person anyways. You're swimming in everybody's filth, sweat, pee & butt crack water. Imagine sharing a bath with everybody in Kansas City. Because that's precisely what you are doing.

Great place, I much prefer to go on weekdays over weekends, they are just so busy on Saturdays and Sunday, I don't know why they don't have a max capacity but 2 hour waits for rides is crazy... Go on weekdays much more enjoyable... Also food and drinks are very expensive, so be prepared...

Relaitivy fun water park. Easy to navigate and a good amount of slides. 6/10 for attractions 7/10 overall. Is now connected to worlds of fun so you can ride the mamba, 2 minutes walking distance away before you get wet.

Adult pool and bar has really went down hill needs updated.Drink quality is poor for the price Margarita machine usualy broken. Music is boring. Buy a couple passes every year w ill not be renewing next year if there is no improvement. Bartenders are nice.

Oceans of fun was great! It's not just water rides and slides, it had a wave pool who's waves go REALLY hight and it was so fun! And it also has a huge swimming pool and the pool has an obstacle course on WATER! It has slides to!
