We usually try to visit every summer and have had good experiences. This summer we bought our tickets and parking all online and appreciated the discount. It was super easy to get in for parking and the park with tickets on the phone. The locker fee is quite high (we did the ones in the water park since we knew we would be doing that as well). There is quite a variety of rides and things to do for all ages.

First experience was amazing and unforgettable!! Kids loved it, even the kiddie rides were enjoyable and exciting. The big rides phenomenal!!! Love the water park, you dont have to leave this place for anything once you enter! Fun, food, drinks, entertainment, music, rides, shows, water and sun! Perfect day with the family! Highly recommend fast pass and meal plan! Will definitely return and recommend!

Mike Raml

Fairly quick lines, friendly staff. Watched an employee at the Subway sandwich shop in the park eating while he was taking bread out of oven pans in front of customers. Not cool!

I legitimately enjoy Valleyfair every time I visit, but the costs add up fast. On my most recent visit, parking was nearly $20 and the locker rental at the water park $15. These steep fees for seemingly basic amenities are bit hard to swallow considering their apparent abundance in availability for both.

Anna Lotzer

We love to visit Valley Fair! The 4yo and 9yo love the wave pool. The 4yo loves the kiddie rides which are very similar to the MOA's Nickelodean Universe but Valley Fair's is Snoopy themed! It's like the new Camp Snoopy but outside!

Heidi Conroy

Drove 2 hours to enjoy the roller coasters. Guess what. They were closed. Closed to the public. They are only open on the weekends during next 2 month's. What the heck. Post it on Google when you are gonna be closed for the whole weekend. Out gas money and wages. Boo. On you

A spectacular day for the whole family. The rides are fantastic and the lines on weekdays move quickly. Bring a change of clothes if you plan on doing any water rides. You will get wet! The water park is a nice touch for hot days. I wish there were some more healthy options for food.

It's not really like a fair it's more like an amusement park. Invest in getting the fast passes only $50 each if you buy them online. We went on everything 2 or 3 times amazing place

Natalie Acheson

A fun place to visit if you live in and around the area! We have enjoyed our gold passes this year. The rides are exciting, the water park is a blast and the food is overpriced but fun theme park fare. There are some gluten free options but most are not Celiac friendly. Usually pretty busy on the weekends but during the week most ride wait times are less than 10 minutes.

Oz Correa

I dont know how someone put free parking for this place. It’s $17. Very clean park. Decent rides. Could use more bigger coasters so the park could be more recognizable. The water park was pretty good too with fun water rides. Lines for the rides were the best. I was able to get on Wild Thing 2 times back to back due to the short line. Also has Caribou Coffee, which was discontinued in Chicago.

Stella Cervinski

One of my favorite places, now I get to see how great it is for my young daughter. Everyone can have a great day here

Brandon Schrank

Valley fair is awesome my 4 year old son had a blast hes 50 inches tall so he could go on all the rides with the exception of steel venom but he spent most of his time down in the "peanuts" area with the kid rides but he did some coasters and thunder canyon and loved every minute of it. My advice is to get your tickets online you can get steep discounts like 40 percent plus in some cases get the drink pass if it's hot you will use it for sure

Andrew Graski

Valley fair is a blast!!!!! Fits and drink have come down dramatically in price, I suggest purchasing one or more lol (my wife and I shared one) but one cup and free refills all day. The lines for rides move quickly. The staff were VERY energetic and made the experience even better

Beni Kemp

Some decent rides. Had some fun there with my friends. Would recommend if you're in the area and you like amusement parks. However, if you're expecting Six Flags or King's Island, this is not that. Valley Fair is pretty small, aside from the Wild Thing, which is a decently sized coaster. The worst thing about the park is that for the bumper cars they make you take off your glasses. For safety reasons I guess? And I'm not talking sunglasses. I'm talking prescription glasses. You'd think that it would be more dangerous for a person to have blurry vision on bumper cars than for them to have glasses on.

Andrew Parrill

It's always a blast at Valley Fair. The rides are great, and the water park is one of the better ones in Minnesota. It is a little pricey so if you plan on visiting more than once, it is smart to just go with the gold pass and meal plan. It's a really good deal. Plus, that gives you the option to go at any time you want without spending money on parking, admission, or food. Bring a water bottle. You're going to need to stay hydrated.

K K

We had fun, lost our season passes in the water park and they charged $5 per to replace them. Noticed the lockers are $15 to $20 to rent. I remember when they were $5... kinda greedy

Imani Cornelius

It's a great park and a great place to bring kids. Do not go thinking your not going to be waiting in lines. They aren't typically long lines for rides and certain food places but there are definitely lines to wait in. The prices are high at the park so prep ahead of time. Bring water bottles for water. If your not going to want something in a week or even a month don't buy it.

Tristian Wunschel

Tickets are pretty high priced but they aren't so bad you couldn't afford it. Food around the place isn't so badly priced. Lots of choices to eat and rides are fun. Lines aren't too terrible. Water park is lots of fun. Mostly a lot of rollar coasters and a water park.

jenny Oelkers

I love this place! Season passes were the smartest thing to get for the summer. The only complaint I have is rude kids that run through the park or run up the entrance ramp to get to the ride. Super annoying. Other than that it's great

Kelly Masche

Great experience, not very busy during the week (we went on a beautiful Thursday during the day). Extreme Swing is my favorite ride. Power Tower was only being run by one person so it was pretty slow and inefficient. Not many people with fast passes, i could see how that could get annoying if there are many people with fast passes constantly getting in line.

Daniel Everson

It's a great place to go with as many or as few friends as you want. Definitely more on the side of thrill seeking rides and a little less nice to those who are lacking in adventurousness. Has a great water park with wave pool and a bunch of person, and tube slides. Would recommend

Rachel Sims

Perfect place to get a season pass with littles! Free passes for kindergarten and under and a great family center to get out of the sump and relax for a little bit when needed!

Matt Skahen

Great place. Price is fair. Lots of great rides and the water park is fun too.

Frank Fang

Spent a whole day and I mean, WHOLE day here. The rides are fun, the water cool, the crowds are crowds. I'd recommend getting the Fast Lane. It made the lines much more tolerable when we had to get in them knowing that the next ride would be a quick walk through. The staff are mostly teenagers with their attitudes to match but we had some exceptional service too. I'd send a shout out to Mary Jane who helped run the Ferris Wheel. Our family's tradition was to ride the ferris wheel last and we were on there at the very end of the night. Mary Jane was chipper and gave my 6 year old thumbs ups every pass (which made his day) even though it was late and almost past closing. It sure made an impression on us! Thanks Mary Jane.

A. Farbs

Great place to take kids during summer and through fall! With the dining plan, you can't beat it living close. No more packed coolers and breaks to the car for lunch. It pays for itself in no time.

Frans Elliott

It's THE thing to do in Shakopee! Lots of great rides. Check it out in October for valley scare. It's something every native born Minnesotan needs to do at least once.

Anna Zakem

Some of the best rides for toddlers! Planet Snoopy has lots of thrill rides (most for kids 36" and up) that parents can also go on and enjoy. There are plenty for younger ones too, including a giant indoor (air-conditioned) play area that's safe and fun! Adults will have plenty of fun with more than a handful of "scare you senseless" rides, including the Xtreme Swing. There is a Midway with carnival games, a dinosaur experience, even a water park INSIDE the main park! There is alcohol ($9-10 for standard size beer, but they serve some Surly) and there are even a handful of designated smoking areas. You rarely if ever need pay full price for tickets, as most grocery stores and some banks offer discount coupons, as well as online deals. Do NOT go for the meal add-ons unless you're in the park for more than two meals, as the food is pretty reasonably priced for a theme park and sometimes you may lose money adding this option. For the best quality food, hit the taco stand or the depot, which features local restaurants throughout the season. The rest of the food, with a few particular exceptions, is not very good (taste or quality) and often you may be better off packing a cooler and heading to the parking lot for a meal. We love this place, with kids and without, and will continue returning. The only reason I didn't give a fifth star is that they tend to not add much for rides/experiences. Even though we have fun every time we go, there's a want for new and exciting adventures to add to their map!

Maria Groth

I love valleyfair. My recommendation, if you are planning on going more than once you'd better get the gold pass. Seems expensive at first but you get free parking and admission all season. It even gets you discounted food and drinks!

Britni Fossum

Loves bringing my 5 and 6 year old! Lots of fun stuff even for their age!

josh bublitz

Its a great way to spend a day in the summer. The water park is great and the rides are fun. It probably not comparable to a six flags but we still have a great time and you can't really fit everything in to one day so your gonna come back which is going to be true for me. Head nodding like the workers ooh yea

Ashley Beckman

I gave 5 stars cuz it's 1 of the few places I can go from morning till they close and kids be happy not including technology wise. Cost can get up there, but so does any fair. Soak city has something for everyone. Wait time this year has seemed very quick compared to other years.

Ben Schinke

Great place to drop a paycheck lol. Very fun and family friendly. Bring a cooler with food and drinks and eat in the parking lot. A regular soda is over $5

Seth Robinson

The wait on some rides isn't terrible, on others it's really long. Not the worst, the cost of a 16 ounce beer (domestic) is 10 dollars, its 55 a person without fastpass, visited a bathroom to find 2 out of 4 stalls clogged 1 that can't latch and a single hand dryer for 5 sinks.

Kale

Fun quality time. Clean park and a various amount of rides as well as activities. Downfall would be good and drink prices, which comes with any amusement park. Would suggest eating something light before going. Water fountains available at a couple locations which was a plus. Overall a good time!

Craig White

We had a fun time at Valley fair two weeks ago. The rides were great and the atmosphere was unique. I’ve been to quite a few amusement parks and this is definitely an amusement you should visit if you get the chance. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars is because the lines for food and drinks were super long and I go to parks knowing this may be the case but the team members didn’t seem like they cared as much as they could about being efficient and speeding up the lines. The food is a little pricey as well but that’s understandable for any amusement park.

Tina Xinastle

My two oldest boys had fun at Valleyfair. There are a limited amount of rides and activities for children under 48"tall. I recommend waiting until your child is at that required height to go. One of the favorite rides of the day was the Wave. The Wild Thing, the North Star and the Corkscrew are also really fun.

Meg

What can I say, best that is a summer MUST. I have been going to Valleyfair for 30 plus years. It never gets old or less exciting. I have found the best deal is the all day drink cup. That is a must if you do not want to carry water bottles through the park. The 4 stars come from the pricing of the food and the extremely overpriced lockers at the water park. Be prepared!! $15.00 for a locker that barely fits one regular size backpack. My family of 4, that packed very light, needed 2 lockers at a cost of $30.00. Not OK. Otherwise I do wish the park would stay open later. A 9pm closing time on a weekday just seems too early. You can not possibly enjoy the attractions, entertainment, and water park in less than 12 hours.

aparna sharma

For those living in America it might one of the other amusement parks, but it is the first park I visited on my short trip to America, I didn't spend much time in water park but the dry rides were all too good.. There is guidance on thrill level and everyone can choose accordingly... Steel venom and wild roller coaster were best ones with 5 thrill rating

Andrew Nehlich

Lots of fun rides. Went on a monday very few lines. The dog show was pretty fun even tho it was more for kids a very good way to beat the heat. Also love the giant swing

Rob Rogholt

Grown up going to Valleyfair. Always had a blast since I wad a kid and now get to too while taking my kids! Lots of variety in rides for b all tastes.

Courtney Trebesch

This was probably a better experience with Valleyfair, but only because my best friend bought a season gold pass. Most folks were at the state fair and its a weekday so the place was pretty dead, making it nice with short lines. Most employees didn't know much about the season pass cards and that was frustrating. If you have any questions about your pass, just go to guest services right away because employees are useless on that front. The rides have changed. I don't mean new rides built or old ones removed, I mean the way they operate. They didn't play any music like they used to for rides. And one ride in particular used to make several rounds around the track forward and several rounds backwards. Instead we went around the track in one direction and it was disappointing. It would be comparative to riding the power tower but they only have the power tower that only goes up instead of having one that drops you and rockets you into the air. It was a great day to go and I had a lot of fun. I just believe that employees should know about season packages revolving around the place they work at. The job isn't just about pushing buttons and making sure you did your safety checks. It's about how you interact with the guests. Believe it or not an employee can make a break a good time with the bored, sarcastic attitudes. I do want to remark about the gentlemen behind the photo counter at the wild thing. He was amazing and he should have had backup because he was clearly overwhelmed. Don't be one of those places that treats their employees like sh

Emily Peters

Great rides, but never go on the weekend. You will be waiting hours for each ride. Also buy your tickets online for a discount, it's worth it!

Brad Peterson

Best value for the most rides. Food and beverage prices are where they make their money, but the rides and experiences are totally worth the entry fee. If you live close by, season passes make it extremely affordable.

Hunter Noah

Amazing time. The rides are great and I personally recommend the fast lane passes. So many more rides wide direct access to the front of each line. Friendly staff and good food choices. Kids had a good time.

Deanna Leimbach

Wasn't very busy and kids didn't have to wait long for rides. This is smaller than six flags but had enough to keep our group entertained for a whole day. The water park was their favorite part.

Krystle Wallace

Best place to spend the summer with family or friends. The water park is so much fun. Rides are awesome. Games are a blast. Lots of food choices. We love our season passes!

Jeremy John

Good for youth that like roller coasters, etc. Not many sedate rides for adults. Food was bad as well as grossly overpriced. Admission price not bad, especially with coupon you can get at visitors area in park next to theme park. Take your kids for thrill rides, but if you don't like bumpy rides, don't go.

David Poynter

Valleyfair is fantastic! Its got plenty to keep your busy for the day and coming back again. It's always clean, and they have rides for everyone. Planet Snoopy is especially good for young children, or those that just want to remenice about "Camp Snoopy" (previously in the Mall of America)

Ryan Larson

It has been awhile since I was here, but nothing seems to have changed much. Maybe a couple more smaller rides. Had my first experience on Renegade and that's an amazing coaster! Had a really good bucket of fries at the sports bar too. $25 for a huge bucket that fed my family of five went over really well. The Park itself is pretty clean and well maintained. Some of the staff seemed lackadaisical but that's what you get when you hire young adults I guess. Also parking costs extra at $17 so beware!

Jenny lovan

Small but fun!! The only issue is there is not enough seating in Soak City and you can't really relax in the lazy river. I love Snoopy and Charlie Brown brings back memories I enjoyed watching Charlie Brown Hoe Down along with a group of teenagers performing at Superior Stage. The roller coasters are fun and the lines went fast!! The park was clean. Great time

April Fischer

Great place for fun. My kids enjoy almost all the rides. Will be going again

aparna sharma

For those living in America it might one of the other amusement parks, but it is the first park I visited on my short trip to America, I didn't spend much time in water park but the dry rides were all too good.. There is guidance on thrill level and everyone can choose accordingly... Steel venom and wild roller coaster were best ones with 5 thrill rating

Syed Sajjad Husain

This place was a lot of fun although we had only and hour and 45 minutes to cover as much as we could. We were able to get on 7 rides, luckily the lines were short. 3 were roller coasters, one was the electric pendulum swing(which all of us agreed was the most thrilling) and 3 more fun rides. The rides are close to each other which is a bonus. There's bumping cars for kids. We all loved the place and would definitely go there again.

K F

This is a fun and relatively inexpensive place for a nice summer day! If you're going to attend more than once a year I recommend the gold pass. The water park is a tad underwhelming but still enjoyable.

Joe Basala

Smaller, but nice amusement park. It was a beautiful day. Not too hot. Not too crowded. 1st time visiting. The layout was a little tricky to navigate, but tolerable. I would go back....

lil ma

been going since I could remember. awesome place to go! tons of fun!

Gerri Poling

For the age of the park it is clean and well cared for. The water park is on the small side but satisfying after a hot day on the coasters. There are 5 must ride coasters.

Mike B

Wish we would have done some more research, next trip to Minneapolis we won't forget our swimsuits when we head out to Valleyfair. What a great day. Exhausting, but great. Awesome for little kids, my 6 year old is not the bravest but was able to move up through the rides until she reached her limit. My 11 year old had a blast on the corkscrew and log ride among others.

Aaron Jaehnert

All the rides except for High Roller felt safe and secure. Food prices are high but it's a big fair so I didn't expect them to be priced fairly. Costly to get in especially with Fast pass but a good experience.

Salith Chuop-Vanthavong

Would not pay more than $25 for tickets. Kids liked the dinosaur alive area ( most did not move). Soak city was great!! All the staffs were friendly. I feel bad for the park employees who have to pick up after all the lazy idiots who dumps all their trash in the parking lot.

Ryan Benedict

Fun for kids and adults. Biggest amusement park in the area. Fun for a whole day. Rides are big and exciting. Food is expensive, but quality is getting better, but still has a way to go. Getting food out is still slow and being served by kids that don't care. At $14 for a brisket sandwich I would expect a little more than a #2 scoop of meat, which tasted good, but dropped in the middle of bread and smashed together. But they are trying to step it up with some pickled onions and other finishing touches to the food. And I wish there were better ways the park could protect patrons from direct sun while standing in long lines waiting for rides. Bring bug spray if you plan to stay after sunset.

Miranda Kuschel

Just Valleyfair in general is fun. I like how the staff, albeit young are not like some kids maybe at their jobs and looking at their phones constantly. They work hard and are attentive, which thank God! No one really crabby or acting annoyed with doing the same thing over and over all day long. I would say that if you are using the friend and family ticket day, do not make the friend or family member be forced to wait outside the location until they arrive to the park. I had everything I needed from my friends ID pass and she was 10 minutes out, daughter had to use the bathroom and she was forced to wait until the season pass holder arrived ti go in.

Kathy Mareck

One of the best theme parks I have ever been too. So clean and not sprawled out like others. Rides for all ages and well managed. Mama Chetta's Pizza was tasty serving up big slices. Restrooms so clean and loved walking on paver bricks instead of blacktop. I give this place all the thumbs up I can

Torleiv Flatebo

I had a lot more fun at Valley Fair than I thought I would. Have not been in about 20 years. The water park is a great addition and the waterslides were super fun. The lines are pretty long on the rides so the extra cost for the rapid pass is worth it IMO. Food also better than I remember and the availability of a draft beer is welcome. So far our favorite ride was the Maverick roller coaster that goes 55 mph around a short track.

Jake Bleyenberg

Valleyfair is honestly one of the most fun and exciting places I have been in a long time! For a very reasonable price, there are water rides, roller coasters and games! There are many places to dine, relax and just have fun! Even though I have a fear of heights, there are many rides that are still super enjoyable and fun despite my fear! I will definitely be coming back in the near future!

Omini

I love this place even if I'm starting to get too fat to go on the rides. This is no one's fault but my own but I am making no changes to my life you can't make me

tj brook

Always have fun when we go here. We are season pass holders which has definitely been worth purchasing

Rebecca Schmidt

We had the best time at Valleyfair yesterday. Probably my first time there in 20 years. All eight kids loved it! Also loved the All Day Meal Pass and All Day Drink pass. So worth it to buy those and the tickets, ahead of time. First time at the water park too. We'll be back soon, hopefully for Valleyscare!

Keren S

Valley Fair just doesn't dissapoint! We take our kids there every year and they love it. I love how the one set of bathrooms (near the food on a stick) always has the latest and greatest sinks and drying equipment and are air conditioned! We have been going to Valley Fair for 15 years and every year has been great! There are so many rides to choose from and the park feels safe and clean.

danielle heikkila

I'm incredibly disappointed! We paid $200 (not including drinks and food) just to get in. First, we paid for our 3 year old to come in, and she was too short for every single kids ride. Almost none of the staff could answer questions or knew where things were. The pop machines had tons of Hornets swarms and going inside the dispensers and half of the pop machines were just carbonated water, no syrup, yet there were no signs saying so. We waited a full hour to go on one of the rides, only to see the ride operators filling many of the cars with only one rider which slowed the line down a lot. Overall, a very disappointing trip.

Phoenix Goodboy

I've come here as a kid and now with my own kids. Always a fun experience. Good to get out and explore. Cool rides fun and friendly. They have a water park as well. They got Pre-k Season pass for kids! Pure awesomeness!

,,

A decent selection of both large scale amusement park rides and small town fair rides. Parking is a bit expensive but they have a fantastic selection of rides. I have not tried the water park yet.

megan gold

The best place to get an adrenaline rush! I love steel venom and the wild thing. valley fair is a great place for kids and teens. I love coming back every year

Isaac Schulte

Went there on a Wednesday afternoon, rode the high roller, the corkscrew, the ferris wheel and the wild thing. All the lines moved pretty quickly. The dinosaur park attraction was not included with park admission, very disappointing. Food at the coaster drive in restaurant was overpriced and under quality, but that's what you get with an enclosed park. TL:DR - rides were fun, food overpriced, separate admission for dinosaur park

Heather Marie

The park was shut down for the weekend by my sister in law's employer. It was really nice and convenient as the lines for rides weren't long at all. The only thing was that a lot of the food stands weren't open, not sure if it was due to lower amount of people attending that day or what. Also, they need more stands that offer cheese on a stick! I spent all day searching for it only to find out they sell it at one stand, near the Wild Thing. There were a TON of bees! They need to reevaluate their pop dispensers as it's not safe for someone allergic like myself.

Andrew Blakeborough

Hope you have the best day ever! It's fun but catering to mainly season pass holders has definitely changed the place since I was a kid. Just doesn't feel as great as it used to. Caricature artists out there are fantastic though ;)

Megan Casper

Our youth group had a fantastic time at VF! The staff are fun, helpful and work so hard to make each trip special. The park is large enough we never get bored and small enough we can see it all in a day. It's a great spot to have fun.

Teri Olson

Pretty disappointed in their accessibility for the handicap. My Uncle has downs and loves all the rides but has a hard time standing for long periods. Their accommodations are to put your name on a waiting list and to come back in a time period frame. So he missed out on many rides. Walt Disney, Disneyland and Sandusky park are by far more sensitive to those with needs

Nacho Freynd

Don't get the meal ticket. It doesn't really pay out as well. Plus you don't get alot of options. Also, VIP/Speedpass is a must otherwise your waiting in line for awhile. The rides were great. The drink wristband was a huge bonus. My family had a great time.

Deanna Thielbar

Well, its been 20 years since I have been to Valley Fair and I was dissatisfied with the parking fee, and the fact that after traveling for 2 hours we were informed that on this Friday you were closing at 5 for a private party. Since this was my daughter birthday party it really put a damper on things. We should not have been charged full price for day when we could not even stay for 5 hours.

Frank Roche

The roller coasters and rides were great. This place is owned by Cedar Point so its top notch.

Cory Vance

This is such a great place. I bring large groups here three times every summer. The staff is super helpful in making sure we have all we need so we can have a great experience. I will definitely continue to bring groups here.

Lacey Solbro

Our kids loved Valley Fair! I highly recommend the daily food pass for $35.99 and the drink cup for $11.99. Very clean and lots of fun!

Vince P

It was super fun. I am "technically" not a ride person; it's a love hate thing. I must say I loved them. The 1 ride I had my heart set on, broke after waiting in line & finally being seated in the ride.

Candice English

Best place for family fun. Awesome rides. Great employees. Wonderful food and you get a good amount for the prices they have. Funnel cakes are bigger here than I've seen at any park!

Becca Freeman

I have been coming to Valleyfair ever since I was a kid, so I love this place as it holds many special memories for me. I love coming here with my sisters each summer. It's a bit pricey, but I was able to get a Groupon which was well worth it. Also, carpooling is a must as you pay separately for parking. Buy all tickets online! But a fun way to spend a summer day in my opinion!

J Yang

Sucked that we had to leave early for an event. I should’ve checked the website. A few rides were closed. Still had fun ...

Brian Juve

I always have a fun time here. It's busy, but lines tend to move quickly in comparison to other parks I've been too. Just try to look for deals on tickets or food/drink wristband packages ahead of time so that way you don't spend a fortune in the park.

Peter's small engine sales and service

Not happy with the customer service. 2 times ago the parking lady offered me great parking for 8 bucks extra for the whole year season. Well she lied it was only for that day not the whole season. Then the next time I won buy one get one on food and I waited in line for 20 minutes and they were out of that item really. I told customer service and they really didn't care didn't offer me anything to make it right or nothing. Even though it was nothing that I did on my end.

sam petersen

Just went for the first time in years! Had a blast with some family, only complaint besides food pricing, turn down the music! In line waiting for a ride and I can't hear the person next to me, it was seriously extremely loud. Maybe because it was the last day of the year but man, it was super annoying. Everything else was absolutely great.

Ashley King

Such a fun place to go to! Everyone has something to do. Best option is to buy the tickets with the refresh option. Saved so much money with not having to buy drinks for everyone.

Devin Danielson

It was overcast and there was a light drizzle for about 5 min with a little thunder in the distance but no lightning and they decided to shut down all the rides down for over an hour. Definitely won't going there again if there is a cloud in sight. I can understand the importance of safety, but come on... Felt like they were just trying to get everybody into the food stands/shops to spend more money on a slow day... (late evening, early in the summer)

Andrew Blakeborough

Hope you have the best day ever! It's fun but catering to mainly season pass holders has definitely changed the place since I was a kid. Just doesn't feel as great as it used to. Caricature artists out there are fantastic though ;)

Manuel Guajardo

The rides were great but for a cheeseburger and fries no drink is $20. So for a family of 4 that's beyond ridiculous to eat there. You can bring your own food and eat in the parking lot so try your best to park close to the park. Also bring your own towels for the water park and bug spray for after dark. The less you bring in to the park the easier to get on the rides and also through security. They do have lockers but who wants to pay $25 just to use?

Shaun Axdal

10 hours of non stop fun! Very clean and friendly staff. The wave pool is heated and the water slides are great fun for the kids (and adults). Last week of August is a great time to visit as the park is not very busy.

Trent Wagner

Great place to visit. Have gotten a gold pass (season pass) for the past three years there. Wish they had more steel coasters since they only have two (steel venom doesn’t count). But otherwise great place to hangout for a few days out of the summer. Would definitely recommend for anyone out of town or even in town.

Lili J

Never disappointed. I love coming here every year for my sons birthday. The staff is always amazing

Jon Ort

It was cleaner this year than it was on my previous visit three years ago. At that time it was disappointing and I wasn't sure if I would go back. This time was much better. There are a few new rides. They pretty much have something for everyone, coasters, spinning rides, water park area, etc. I have one son that likes mellow rides and the other likes to be thrilled. They both stay entertained. Like all these parks the food, drinks, etc are very expensive. If you check their web site you can almost always get a pretty good discount over the door prices. There are drink and food packages available. If you plan on going even twice in a season then the season pass is your best deal, especially if purchased in the Spring before prime Summer season. Overall it is a nice regional amusement park experience.

Heidi Cronick

I love having a season pass. I love about an hour away and I'll come every week if not more. It's great exercise. I have never been disappointed worth the restrooms. They are clean for as many people are there in a day.

Katie Ruud

Always full of fun! The only thing I would change would be more shade options while waiting in line for the rides, since there are quite a few directly in the hot sun.

Melissa Blietz

We visited for ValleyScare last weekend and it was more than I expected. I thought it might be a little hokey and cheesy but it was awesome! Definitely worth it. I will definitely go again. Have visited during regular season as well and is a great time for all!

Spartan Ventures

Clean. Plenty of rides. Well organized and helpful staff. Food is not the greatest but for adequate for amusement park. Can be expensive and gets very crowded with some long wait times but everyone was calm, orderly and well behaved. Also has a nice outdoor water park (something that is rare in Minnesota). This is a perfect spot to take kids, teens and 20yr olds for a fun day in the summer.

Jayke Peters

Steel venom baby! Great amusement park and with season pass it is definitely worth it if you’re going to visit more than twice. Also get fast lane...

Abdul Haseeb

We had a great time there. A lot of rides, so you never get bored. We went on the weekend, even after being crowded, the lines were not that bad and the staff amazingly handled the crowd. Random shows around the park were interesting to watch. Although the food is expensive, the funnel cake is a much try at the park!

Christian Nelson

Small amusement park but well run with good variety of food, games and rides. Admission includes access to small watermark as well. Theming is based around local artist who penned Peanuts among other local Minnesotan lore. Good stopping point for locals or day stop from cross country road trip after crossing great plains.

Drizyk

Save Valleyfair in your vocabulary as a place of great amusement!! PS: you won't regret it ;-)

Melissa Lee

1) My son got stung by a bee. With all the Soda fountains, ice cream, mini donuts...bees are everywhere!! Every trash receptacle had bees swarming in them. 2) Food and beverage was expensive for the mediocre quality. French fries from the place where the turkey legs are were cold and stale. Glad it was a free corn day, I survived on that and just had to worry about my son to feed. 3) Fast Pass is the worst idea ever!!

Kris Johnson

Awesome experience with the kids. Bought our tickets online and saved. Paid the extra 3 bucks to drink pop all day so worth it.

Samantha Holthaus

Good place for KIDS! The grounds are clean, rides are fun, staff is friendly & the water park is a hit! I love that they have adult beverages ;)

Chuezeng Vang

Awesome place. Lots of good foods including Turkey legs! And wanna ride roller costers?, Go to this fun Valley Fair. Lots of parking spots.

cannon 0357

Lots of fun things to do here if you are a teen/ young adult. My bones hurt for 3 days after but had a great time.

Angie Weber

Always a fun filled day! We enjoy our season passes every year. Pro tip: buy the all season drink bottle. If you go more than one time it pays for itself.

Mikekobe

We took a family vacation to Minneapolis Minnesota. We went to the valley fair the second day of the trip. Our kids loved all the rides and fair type games they had there. There's so many rides for smaller aged children, can definitely spend a whole day there. I definently recommend visiting the Valley fair when visiting Minneapolis. You won't be disappointed. A must see attraction.

Noah G

Not my kind of place, but for people who love amusement parks it's a wonderful place. Super clean park, excellent landscaping, rides are typically in working order, and soak city is a great place to have to cool off. I would also recommend the daily or yearly souvenir cup, free unlimited (every 15 minutes) refills on the day or season depending on whichever you get.

Joel Makem

Thrilling rides, good food. Valley fair has it all. Amazing place to go with friends or family gathering. They have some really fun rides but the lines are normally really long. Also, some really good food options from subway to panda express and many more.

Katie Cummings

The park was a blast with two small kid's! The Halloween event was awesome as well. My young girls (8 & 3) loved the haunts and all the ghouls running around the park at night! Also we enjoyed all the places we ate at. We'll definitely be back.

Extr3m3ways

Valleyfair as an adult is a different experience. You're not wrapped up so much in the excitement of the rides but the people you go with and the people you meet along the way. Valleyfair is still one of those places where you make your own story and make your own level of excitement. You can hop from ride to ride or just walk around touring and grazing through the food stands. Your results with Valleyfair are directly related to how far you're willing to step out of your comfort zone, if you don't engage in small talk and never try new rides Valleyfair won't hold it's luster. For those that seek to be outside their comfort zone, that's where the real magic and fun happens.

This is a nice amusement park/water park. Lots of fun rides, nice water slides, and usually the lines don’t last longer than 20 minutes. The only problem I have is that once you do the 6ish big coasters or other thrill rides there isn’t much else to do other than go on the big rides again.

Teagan Franz

Seriously amazing! So fun for all ages and comfort levels with rides! My kids were just over 1 when we started going and there are rides for them to enjoy with us! Rollercoasters, tons of parking, cotton candy, fast lanes for certain rides, and a great meal plan with season passes! The Planet Snoopy area even has a family area with a nursing area in the AC during the hot summer, changing pads and a little tv to hang while you're feeding a kiddo or taking a break from the heat. LOVE VALLEYFAIR. :)

Tosha Scheel

My family has 6 season passes and will no be renewing. We go a few times a year to the theme park but we enjoy ValleyScare the most. We always get the fast/fright lane. This year was our last year. Very unimpressed. With that fright lane purchase you don’t get the skeleton key, doesn’t unlock special rooms, no chateau shot glass... so what am I paying for? I would wait in line instead of paying extra. We pay for those to get the specials that come with it. Now to talk about the scare zones, boring. The monsters weren’t scary. Out of the whole park I only saw two that were scary. Previous years were great. This is by far the worst year yet. Not to mention the ghetto level in there. Police every where last night. I had to make a statement them. Not how I wanted to spend my night. Will not be returning.

Alex Aronson

I've gone many times and Each time is a better then the last, having someone with who can help you get on all your favorite rides, knowing where the best places to eat are, and helpful can make a huge difference. It can be quite easy to spend the whole day walking from one end of the park to the other. But as long as you do some mild planning, you can do everything.

Best place in MN to take the kids. I honestly think it was such nice people and I would want to go back

Christina Lopez-Jensen

So clean and well maintained. There's a good variety of rides to keep everyone entertained. The water park was nice on the hot day we went. The lines were very reasonable on a Sunday morning/afternoon. The food is a little pricey but I definitely recommend springing for one of the refillable cups. They are well worth it!

Kris Brouwer

Travelled here to ride my first roller coasters, and I loved it! Beautiful park with a Charlie Brown theme. I will definitely be back.

Dolores Olson

GREAT park. Love the water park. If you live near the season passes are well worth it. Especially if you have little ones.

Joel Makem

Arturo fierros

My family and I go once or twice a year. We always have a great time, there's something for everyone to enjoy. We enjoy eating in the park it might be a little bit expensive, but once or twice year is not so bad for us. Everyone else can bring their own food and exit the park to eat. I would recommend valleyfair to people.

Jason Gansen

Lots of fun. Can get really hot while standing in lines (which can be very long). I think it's ridiculous to spend the kind of money we do on tickets and parking is expensive. In my opinion parking should be free or lower ticket prices. Otherwise, great atmosphere, kids always have fun, great place.

Tina Prescher

Love that have rides for ALL ages! Need to update the app more with ride times and ride closers! Like that you can always find discount tickets! Water park is the best and so convenient to cool off quick.

Jenn Bleything

We go on weekdays and it's not too crowded. It's a great family place. They have ample places to sit. I was worried that Soak City would be overcrowded, but I haven't experienced that yet. Avoiding weekends might help with all of that. It has taken a while to get food though. I haven't experienced amazing food service yet.

Noah Patterson

My brothers and I have season passes and come some evenings after work/school. It’s a great way to have some fun together after a long day. Lines aren’t too long and the staff is generally friendly.

Kira Mandl

Valleyfair is a lovely theme park in Shakopee, Minnesota. We have been going on a tour of Cedar Fair parks this summer and Valleyfair is an excellent portion of that group of parks. Wild Thing is definitely the best roller coaster there. Only gave it four stars instead of five because we felt the variety of food options was lacking. Most Cedar fair parks have healthy options and it seemed like Valleyfair had none. Other than that, this was a great park.

Jay Oblne

My home away from home. I have the gold card that they offer for season pass and it is worth every penny. Parking is covered, entry takes no time and a couple other nice perks. This is one of my favorite places to wander.

Leaf Fael

Considering it's smaller size the amusement park has a little of everything to offer! Clean grounds and restrooms. Short lines on a Sunday morning. Honest folks as I left my credit card and they kept it safe. Lots of seating around rides. Gorgeous grounds with snoopy theme and tons of flowers!

Rodison Dela Raga

It was great. They have a new attractions and they give free sweet corns for everybody. Its yummy!

chad wojahn

Always a fun time, gold season passes allow us to visit multiple times per month, avoiding the busy days and that means less waiting in line, however it's a great opportunity to chit chat with my son while enjoying the day together. No phones, no distractions, just good conversation and thrilling rides!

Nicole Fraifogl

2 great coasters and several good thrill rides compared to Cedar Point. Food listed in the app does not match what is at some sites. Nice way to spend an afternoon if you're in the area.

Shace Zigler

I would have given 5 stars because I freakin love amusement parks however, they could use a few more thrill rides and I get that safety is important but there's literally no sense of urgency with their ride operators. I mean, NONE. It took over 30 min to load/unload their version of the Octopus.

Christopher Korzenowski

This is hands down the best amusement park in the state of Minnesota! Soak city is a decent waterpark that's included in the admission price. There are 6 new water slides that will for sure fulfill your adrenaline itch; including a pair (Breakers Plunge) that drop you 90ft and four others (Breakers Pipeline) where you begin your decent after the floor drops out from underneath you.

Steve Powell

Looked quickly at online ticket prices before my daughter left to visit the park with friends. Saw $38, she had $80 of her own hard earned money with her. She just texted me and said it was $56 at the gate!! Looked online again and the $38 is online pricing? Sorry but that's just wrong, I'm livid, I'm also 45 minutes from the park so driving down to try and correct this isn't a practical option.

Brian McGee

Note to everyone, go on a Monday after a holiday. There were absolutely no lines all day long. We rode the rides and slides for nine hours and never waited in line for anything. The longest line was actually for food at the chicken stand(and the fingers were pretty great too.) Renegade is definitely the best coaster in the park, with a couple others that are decent as well. The biggest gripe is the locker placement. They need more and at better areas of the park. Also, they need some newer rides. It seems like years since they have added a wow worthy ride.

Katie Cummings

The park was a blast with two small kid's! The Halloween event was awesome as well. My young girls (8 & 3) loved the haunts and all the ghouls running around the park at night! Also we enjoyed all the places we ate at. We'll definitely be back.

Marc Dockter

Super fun for the whole family! This amusement park does a great job of continually adding new attractions and updating the old rides.

April J.

Great place to go, Went during the First Responders' week! Not so much of a discount for the family/friend. Total rip off if you ask me. Only 2 bucks off the total price if you print off the paper for this amazing discount you think you're getting. WRONG you pay for full price. Not a good look. As a First Responder myself, family/friends should get a better discount! We often don't see the outcome of most things... I could go on.

Yin- Yang

Valley Scare is a blast for kids and grown ups alike. We all dressed up and got scared! Not terribly scary, just right amount of scary for kids to come along. And they always have "no boo" necklaces for purchase if you don't want to get scared. Honestly I got scared more than my kids!

Kim Bennett

Great amusement park. Good size and a decent variety of rides. Usually has coupons available for admission. Has a fast pass option for rides which isn't cheap at $50.00 or more but it's worth it when the park is busy. Food and drink are readily available and about as expensive as expected. Parking will add an extra expense of $17 to your day. The parking lot is why I don't give 5 stars. No lane markers so no way to easily remember where you parked. It shouldn't be too hard to at least paint row numbers at the end of the aisles to help people get back to their cars.

Emily Dimond

Wanted to bring my 4 kids to Valleyfair, since some are old enough now to ride most of the rides. One is an infant and so I would have been taking care of my infant the entire time, not going on any rides. They still want to charge me full admission, just for watching my kids. I could see if there was another adult along to switch watching between the two of us, but I was going to be the only adult. This is a terrible business practice by Valleyfair. I highly suggest they look into changing this policy by incorporating something that can indicate someone is there to watch their kids and not to go on rides. Just a recommendation...maybe a red wristband as an indicator that someone is a chaperone and not a rider? I guess we will be going to Nickelodeon Universe instead and my kids were so looking forward to going to Valleyfair. Very disappointed.

Maila Yang

Had a wonderful time. Go early so you don't have to wait in lines for rides. I suggest you buy your parking tickets and a souvenir cup to get free refills all day online, its cheaper. The waterpark is awesome. I suggest to get a cabana if you're staying all day. Plenty of rides for adults and kids. Food was good, you get a variety of selections. Typical prices on food and souvenirs at amusement parks.

ImagineJace

There's a ton to do at Valley Fair, including amusement park rides, a water park, places to eat, and carnival games! There's also live bands that premier at Soak City, the water park. It's a great place for families and friends and I would definitely recommend going here!

Eli Anderson

Valleyfair is always a wonderful place to go especially with family. There are many great rides across the park and convenient amenities. The season passes offer incredible value. They always seem to have a new ride every year as well. Some cons are that they took out the Imax theater and they only have of first aid station near the back of the park (it's very surprising that they don't have anything in the front). Overall fantastic experience though!

Danielle DeFoe

This place is super amazing. A great place for the entire family to enjoy. If someone isn't much of a thrill seeker then the water park is also available. My 7 year old son was able to go one almost every ride available besides 3 of them. Being able to save money purchasing your admission online is also a great advantage. The only thing on the down side is the dining establishments are very expensive.

Dustin Hansen

Great amusement park. We were worried there wouldn't be many rides for our 5 and 3 year old boys, but we were pleasantly surprised. The lines were pretty long for the main thrill rides, but that is to be expected on a Sunday. Having to pay almost $20 for parking is a joke though.
