This Park is classified in the category of Park.
Great park!! Very clean, wonderful playground, many covered picnic areas. Bike trails, walking trails and a creek to stomp in.
Quiet park, several shelters available to rent. Several first come first serve. Restrooms scattered throughout. Walking/biking trails, running too if you're that energetic.
Absolutely beautiful place! Tons of great things to do! We had family pics here and then there were 2 playgrounds for the kids to go play on. One for the bigger kids and one for the youngest one. The park was well maintained. There were tons of picnic tables around and pavilions to rent. And then plenty of seating around the playgrounds.
Beautiful, uncrowded park with nice playgrounds and trails. Bug Fest is fun, too!
They have walking trails, bike trails, a nature center parks for little kids it's a big park
It a nice place to take the family. Nature trails wind though the woods back to the river. Easy hike
Beautiful, peaceful park with so much to do...playgrounds, hiking trails, bike/walk path, and lovely picnic areas.
This is one of the most wonderful Parks outside the city.
Great place to go for a hike
I love this park. Lots of room for the kids to run...a big and little playground...and it sets back far enough you dont have a lot of traffic to worry about. Paved and unpaved wooded trails. Great place for the family.
Peaceful. Well kept grounds. Enough bathrooms where if I had a small bladder and had to urinate often, I would not have to go into the woods and find a tree.
I love this place every time I go...and so does my dog and the kids.
Best playground in the area. Well maintained and easy hiking paths for families with kids.
It's nice and big
Love taking my dogs for a walk here. Clean and paved walkways!
A great place for bike riding, a cookout, hiking or walking. There are a lot of other recreational things to do as well. Highly recommended!
Beautiful huge park!
Great walking trails but they need a bit of trimming up. Southeastway Park has a nice and large playground for your children to play at.
Bugfest was great!
Be careful of cars or trucks parked backwards there, guys looking for other guys. My wife and I had asked the park rangers why there's always guys sitting in there cars backwards and was told the horrible truth, really be careful with your kids at this park. Just an FYI..
Always fast service.
Shelters available for events. Very nice playground
This is a beautiful place for outdoor activities and picnic !
Always a great park for bikes, kids blowing off steam at playgrounds, picnics, family get togethers. Nature center is small but nice
Love this park. Loads of space. Plenty of parking. Choice to walk a paved path or go off into the woods. Park itself is a decent size. Kids love it. Wish they had an ice cream shop though
Park was beautiful as always awesome playgrounds to take your kids.
A bit too busy on the good weekends.
The most relaxing place to go for a walk or just some peace and quiet! Plenty of shelters if you want to schedule a family picnic, birthday or any other kind of celebration!
Amazing place amazing park and amazing location lots of little things to do and the playgrounds for the little ones enjoy every single second, definitely recommend this park to have picnics and birthday parties...
Best place to just smoke weed and blaze up
Beautiful park, lots of open fields and nice play areas.
Such a beautiful day at Southeastway Park.
Love this park! Excellent paved bike/ walking paths!! Lots of grills and picnic tables!
I like this park very much. It is very neat and clean and the paved pathway is pretty awesome. Plenty of port a johns around and I didn't go into the building with the restrooms but I assume they were open. Pretty quiet weekdays from what I can tell. Lots of paths into the woods and by the river too, they were pretty nice but too many mosquitos when I was there. There are several different parking locations and a lot of picnic tables around and a couple of playgrounds for the kids. Nice place
This a beautiful jewel of a park in Indy! It's always clean, well maintained but somehow still has a wild feel to it.
Beautiful Park great trails fun for the whole family
Great clean park, walking trails and play ground for the kids. Lots of picnic tables and several shelter areas.
Very nice place to get outside and not too crowded.
Nice place to hike
Nice, small park with good picnic areas. Great playground area and trails well maintained.
This park has been a big part of my adult life. I need to get out of the city and "ground myself" I suppose, is a popular thing to say. The mosquitoes were really bad today ... but I don't care. Mature trees!
Very nice with a really good hay ride! All the park personnel do a fantastic job of making the park a first choice to come for any outing!
Very nice park, good size, lots of things going on here!
We LOVE taking trips with our fur baby’s here! The trails are so beautiful an peaceful. We recommend taking a day to explore an have fun!
Nice park with great woods trails and black top paths. It has slides, swings, climbing nets and covered shelters. Great and safe place to explore.
Very lovely park
Love this park it is clean and has both paved and unpaved trails, plenty of access to the creek, lots to do!
Love the country setting
This park is great to walk your dogs at, take your kids to, jog, or just go for a stroll. Really pretty, especially in the fall. Lots of trails. It's also got pretty good upkeep I hardly ever see trash here.
Great place for kids and adults alike
Beautiful park with lots of play area for kids. Lots of walking available and several covered picnic areas.
Great park. Nice and big and clean
Great park to walk the trail see tbe river /creek and take your pets. We went after it rained and it was muddy with trees blocking some of the trail....
Great and peaceful is how I was feeling
One of my favorite parks. Love taking my daughter here and walking the trails. It is always a fun time
Great trails! I love that there are two different playgrounds. One is for the bigger kids and the other for the toddlers.
Was there with my girlfriend .the restroom there that was for handicapped was flooded with water .She has cerebral palsy .It smelled nasty and no paper towels .We had to leave an go home
One of the best public parks around Indianapolis. Also they have hiking trails and one of the coolest playsets for children I've ever seen.
Great places to walk the river, trails or let the kids play!
Great park very pretty views and great walk ways
Great park. Lots of shade, trails and shelters
Beautiful, quiet, clean & well kept. Nice place for families with kids (&/or dogs) of all ages to bicycle, hike the wooded trails or on the paved walkways, or play at playground. Handicap accessible porta-pottys. Parking areas, LOTS of shaded areas. Plenty of benches & tables located around the park. About 30 min drive from downtown. Far enough to be out of the city & away from interstates, close enough to get away for even just a couple of hours (or MORE). The outside paved walking path was 2.5 miles I was told, (if you are looking for a measured distance), with some criss crossing shorter internal paths as well. Yes! We will be back! Intend to bring a picnic lunch next time & make a day of it!
Great park!
Such nice place to bring kids to get there energy out. Only thing I have to complain about is the restrooms.
Nice ,clean Great for entire family!!
Very nice park! Picnic areas, playgrounds, hiking trails. Recommended!
Walking trails. A lot of,shelter houses for family get togethers, church picnics and the like.
Great park! Many trails to hike on through the woods and along the creek. Has several playground areas with lots of things to play on. Also has several sites with lots of picnic tables and seating areas. Bikes arent allowed on the trails, but leased dogs are permitted! Had a great time.
The Asphalt pathway that encircles the park is 2 miles in distance, and provides a wonderful area to walk! The Playgrounds-2, are so much loved by the children! For me, when it snows, oh how I love to go down the Sledding hill! Cowabunga! The trees are plentiful, and there is a pathway that goes through the woods, near the Stream. Shelters to rent, and awesome people that work there at the Park! Do make a visit there! }} Scooby-Doo {{ :)
Great park,. Lots of places to picnic, playgrounds for the kids and shelters for family events.
Beautiful park, nice place to walk or picnic.
It's a great parj.
Family get together!
Great place to walk.
Beautiful & clean. Excellent park for running, biking, trails or picnic & fun with the family
This park is one of my favorites of all the Indy Parks. It is very hard to find even with GPS but well worth visiting when you get there as it has great trails, a great Nature Center, fun gym toys for kids to play on, lots of picnic areas to choose from & a huge park to wonder around in but I like the trails best, as you wander trails through well kept woods full of of indigenous plants, animals & a natural environment with a river running tbrough it.
Very clean friendly people the walking trails have beaitiful veiws only thing i suggest is after all this rain wear junky shoes and clothes but i love it the kids love it so its perfect
What a beautiful park lots space to bring big family's and friends
Beautiful park
but those mosquitos..
Awesome trails and kids play areas
One of the best parks in the city!
Best kept secret on thecsoutheast side its a park with shelters and different walking trails
Probably the nicest park on the Southeast side. Nice walking trails and a big playground and picnic area.
Great park, trails, Education center!
Wish they had better bathrooms. Less like and outhouse would be nice. Even my small town has better park restrooms.
It's a great place for the following: picnicking, walking, jogging, strolling, meandering, meditating, pet playing, celebrating, and relaxing. It's far enough away from the major highways and interstates that taking care of kids here is far safer than some other parks. I've been coming to this park since 2011, and my favorite time to visit is when the leaves start to turn in September or October when there are still enough leaves on the trees to color the whole place orange. But y'all should check it out for yourselves! Let me know what you think!
Beautiful park. We had a picnic in one of the shelters and it was right between the 2 playgrounds. My children loved the playgrounds! The bathrooms left a bit to be desired and were a bit of a walk across the road, but at least they were available.
This review will be changed to 5 stars if the mosquito issue at Southeastway Park gets taken care of. My family and I love this park. It's great to take the kids and our dog on a walk because its so spacious and has plenty of areas to walk. However, the past two times we have went, mosquitos have cut our trip short. After our last visit (which may turn into our last visit ever), my daughter has about 10 mosquito bites down the side of her face. The mosquitos were literally swarming us as we were walking on the path by the tree line. Towards the inside of the park was much better, but the concrete path around the park is unusable at the moment. I hope something is done to remedy the mosquito issue because we would love to go to the park over and over again, but we will not until something is done.
So peaceful. Great place to ride bikes.
This is a really great park. There are plenty of places to picnic, trails to walk and bike, and even a playground. But thats not all you can do. But im not going to tell you everything. Check it out for yourself!
Great park to run and play. Good for kids two and up!
Great park.
Very nice and clean large park. I've been here dozens of times and it's always clean and seems well taken care of year-round.
Great experience...don't know if it was the rain all day yesterday but a little overly muddy and puddly in the playground area.
Their prices and every time I go there they are always there to help.
Awesome place for family, by urself, or church gathering like we just had Saturday, September 15th with #church52 on Brookville rd.
Beautifully maintained! There is a paved trail that loops around the park that is great for riding your bike. There is also a large playground if you have kids.
Always have a great time exploring at this park!
Very nice park, but floods a lot.
The park was so beautiful
Pickneck areas throughout the park rentable shelter areas 6 available spots with covers each shelter can accommodate 150 people, kids playing areas, bike trails, walking trails, club house "rentable", flushing bathrooms "seasonal during summer time", grounds are well kept and maintain. 6 non-rentable pickneck areas anytime use " first come first serve ", very enjoyable area to have lunch or family reunions.
Nice park great walking trails.
This park is big, has trails, shelters, and play ground area, great for the whole family
Nice path for running. Many bbq spots and many kids areas
great park for everyone!
Visited Southeastway Park last week and had the pleasure of helping collect sap cook it in preparation for making syrup (had to leave before we got to the fun part). The staff was incredibly friendly and informative. Definitely suggest having a group come out for some of their activities.
Beautiful with alot of grills and picnic tables.
Southeastway Park is one of the best parks in Indianapolis. It is quiet and great for a good stroll in the woods. I had a great afternoon of relaxing here. Looks like there are activities for kids as well, a playground and education center.
Definitely the best city park in Indy.
It is a great place to visit and have a picnic.- Robert Mills
Beautifully landscaped. Great walking paths.
Great park. The trails are pretty flat, but one of the nicest parks in indy
Great walking trails, paved and dirt trails through the woods. Good for seeing animals, birds and bugs for you nature lovers. Great place to take kids, girlfriend/boyfriend, dogs or just yourself.
Clean and spacious. Lots of open space as well as quiet forest paths. This is a great place to enjoy time with family or some alone time with nature.
Great. It would be nice to remark/repaint the mileage distance. Also to have paper towels in restroom. Everyone shakes the hands dry and the floor is a mess and slick. We always enjoy our time spent at the park.
Great day. Clean place ! I love this park !
The trail was full of interesting critters that were fun to discover. Definitely wear bug repellent! It was easy for the kids to walk too. There are many picnic tables to use and the reserved table areas are clearly marked. The park is huge so it was nice to walk around and explore even after we were finished with the trail and making our way to the playground.
Wonderful paved paths to walk or run, also trails through the woods and that run by a creek. Great place for picnics, they have shelters for big gatherings, playgrounds and bathrooms.
This park is a very nice park for people who like to walk and enjoy the scenery. There are multiple shelter houses trails better in the woods and with in the park for people to jog and walk. I highly recommend it.
Huge park with lots to do an experience
The only thing that would make this a better park is swimming pool.
Nice park. Shelters in good condition.
Best sledding on the south side! Get there early for the best snow.
Amazing park! This is our family spot! Great trails, fun playground, and plenty of fresh air!
Always a great, safe time. Love this park. Super close to home for quick hike or picnic. Lots of space for or kids and pups.
Seriously one of my favorite state parks ever. Never overly crowded and beautiful trails. If youre adventurous, a photographer, or are just trying to get out in nature a little more, this is the place for you!
Hello everybody I am reviewing southeastway Park. It is a park where they have things like playground equipment and open spaces and a wooded area with a few trails. It would not be a good place for a week-long backpacking trip but it's a great place to spend an afternoon. You can even picnic there because they provide tables for you 2 sit at. You can reserve a shelter if you want or take a chance that it won't be reserved so you can be in it for free. The choice is up to you but be sure you Choose Wisely
This is a beautiful and serene park. Dog friendly and safe.
Family friendly
A perfect park with picnic areas, walking trails, and playgrounds. Quiet, but an easy place to adventure!
We love this park. Beautiful location and plenty of trails to both hike on and bike on.
Awesome park! Have visited many times recently as it is a great place for graduation parties! We rented 2 shelters near the playground, it was perfect
Beautiful park! Trails, biking/walking paths, plenty of shade, kids playgrounds, picnic shelters, family/senior pictures...hidden gem for our area.
Went to maple syrup harvest. Excellent presentation for the homeschool kids and adults.
Love it getting married here in the summer..2019
Nice trails through old growth trees. Maple syrup was delicious!
Very nice park. Two different playgrounds. An older and younger one. Lots of shelters for picnics and/or gatherings.

Park is a nice nature hike that's not a very far drive from indy,,,
Great place paved trails and dirt trails to river
Always a clean park with tons of trail area. Bugfest is our favorite.
It's an amazing place. There are a lot of benches and it is a great place to have Easter.
Playgrounds need attention wet and muddy bugs deep holes to fall into. Not enough play equipment for small children. Need updates.
This park was fun we went on a hay ride

We love going to Southeastway Park!
Good playgrounds for different ages. Easy hiking trails and lots of room to just play. Love sledding there in the winter
