It was a fun family get away. Most everyone that worked there was nice and friendly. We went on a weekday so it was fast getting in rides which is always good. We came from out of state and bought a package that parking was to be included both days. However it wasn't and we had to pay each day for parking because it shares a lot with the convention center.

Joshua Coolidge

Good place to go with Friends and family. The rides are good. Overall the park is pretty clean. And depending on when you go, the lines are really not that bad. The staff are friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend it visiting if you have the time. I would definitely get a season pass if you live in the area.

Ciana Lee

I cant be the only one who watched her child cry because someone of the same height or smaller was able to ride a ride and she couldnt.. last ride her and the girl in front of us were the same height.. they told the girl she could ride but my daughter could not.. disappoint.. first and last time coming.. drove 3 hours for no reason..

I buy season passes every year. It pays for itself if you go twice a season, parking is free with a pass ($10 savings each time) . My kids have gone several times already just to use the water park. With pass, drink $1, and discounts on food too. They have free sunscreen stations! Each year I notice new rides added and the effort they put in the scenery plants is amazing. Worth it!

FYI: If you get on a ride at Kentucky Kingdom and are holding your phone in your hand to secure it, not to take pictures, but to secure it, the workers won’t say a word, but instead call the police and have you escorted from the park. No one ever checked to see if my 3yr old met the height limit, but they sure had many security officers and police escort us over holding a phone because it’s a “safety violation”. My 3yr old was right barely at the line, but never mind checking to see if he met there 40in height requirement for their new Flyer ride. Never mind saying would you please put your phone away and let that be that. Way to Ruin a family get together to celebrate a 6yr & 8yr olds Birthday at Kentucky Kingdom!!!

This is a fine entertainment park, especially the water slides and wave pool are so much fun. It is well maintained and feels safe. However my only gripe is that two water slides that are more enjoyable are closed since a very long time.

George Moore

I have been coming for years, the roller coasters here are just fantastic. The staff is friendly and the park is clean. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

Shane

Best place to have everything you need for the summer. Wet or dry, The Kingdom is the place to be. Go at opening and you usually avoid most of the heavy lines which start to get long (not too long) after 1:30.

Riley Burke

I came last year and this year. I love it great rides and it has nice staff. 2 things that could improve on. The 5D movie ride they tell you to give thumbs up, I almost didn't get buckled so maybe go through the row and make sure everyone is good. And the 3 slides right next to the lazy river, I wish you could go down just with your body not with a tube.

Daniel Hauger

Oh lordy...this is one of our top vacation spots now love the rides and the lay out of the park it's definitely a must-do if you like roller coasters and theme parks

Ashley Holt

We had so much fun! Everything was very clean and the staff were always visible. The rides and pools were awesome! The only thing I would add would be a couple of healthier eats options.

David Jennings

Ok so I bought season tickets for my family we go to the park the kids have a ball. The wife and I try to ride the new roller coasters but we are to big. I guess I would like to know if all the new rides will have lap bars that won't fit around bigger people (discrimination) so that way I will know to get Holiday World next year. Where I live either park makes sense but I've been going to Kentucky Kingdom since the park opened so I go there but I will change if we can't ride.

Heather Hale

Love it, what an affordable way to have family fun. Small enough that you can easily get around the whole park in a day, big enough that there is something for everyone. Courteous staff, clean, and tons of fun!! This is an annual family event!

Travis George

Very awesome place. Me and my son Diego went for his 14th birthday. Had a blast

Tonya Nye

We have not visited here since the reopening a few years back. We got tickets from a friend who was not able to go.Otherwise we would have demanded a refund. Me and the person I was with both wear glasses. Mine are looser and I always take them off for any kind of fast ride. His are all but attached to his head. Literally, he has ridden the coasters at Cedar Point with them on. So , we decide to go on the boat ride first. We're both told to take off and I do, but we told the lady his wouldn't be a problem. Didn't matter, she wouldn't start the ride without them off. He is blind pretty much blind without them ,so how do you enjoy a ride if you can't see? Begrudgingly he took them off and put in his pocket. Next ride, Lightning Run, same exact issue, so he just got off and even though I asked to get off, they started it and I was stuck. It wouldn't have been such a big deal but they have it posted before every ride that they aren't,responsible for loose articles that fall or get lost while riding. No other amusement park we have ever visited including Cedar Point which also have these signs posted, demands you take your eyeglasses off. It's the responsibility of the rider to decide if they chance it. The staff was also not friendly or helpful by any means. I understand that we have gone at the end of the season, but that doesn't mean you should treat your customers rudely because you don't want to be there . I bought a souvenir cup first, thing before, any ride. The cashier didn't tell me anything , literally not even the simple "What can I get you" and I wasn't sure about tax so handing him the exact money for the cup he just stared at me. So, I asked if,he needed more and he finally said yea . Then, upon getting my refill at the same spot the lady hollered at me like I was just gonna get my refill and not pay the dollar for it. I had the dollar in my hand and just felt it was ok to fill first and pay second. So, we left after that .That's our trip and we will not be going back.

Samuel Pressley

Great family place. We have the season passes to take the kiddos as often as possible. Good water park

LaToya Jackson

First time there! It was great! As long as the kids enjoyed, nothing else matters. The only thing I took off for was never having ice in the drink machines and running out of margaritas.

Hannah Byrd Little

We enjoyed visiting Kentucky Kingdom as a family. The park has both an amusement park ride part and then a waterpark that are intertwined so that mom and dad can lounge next to the pools while the older kids run around to all the thrill rides. There is a bar and take out restaurants If you purchase a souvenir cup you can get refills for just a dollar.

Regina Horton

Almost every ride was down, due to graduation. Not to mention no one said anything until I went to guest services, I stay 3 hrs away and the only thing he could was give me single day tickets! I brought my grandkids to have fun, they were ready to go:(! Indiana don’t show no love

Steel Tornatore

I love this park! Prices on food and drink are a bit steep, but at least water is free! Favorite ride is storm chaser. Check it out if you go there. #bring back crispy m&m

Teresa g. Ford

Nice , only thing disliked. When laying on the lounge at the little bay enjoying the sun. Someone directly behind you is having a fit with some problem using every other word that starts with the letter F....

Piper's Playhouse

No mega coasters, but a great place to take younger kids. Water park is included and has pretty good rides. $10 to park and $11 to rent a locker for the day. Overall, a great time for families.

Michelle Heidelberg Bauer

We had an awesome time all 6 of us. It was worth the drive

Lopaste

If you're ever thinking of going here, you should! This place is amazing. They have rides for the kids and the thrill seekers, and they are all amazing! The coasters here are some of the best in world! Not to mention the out of state deal which allows you to go to the park for 2 days. I can't wait to come back!

kathelene robertson

Absolutely fantastic!!! Never saw an inspection score under 100! Every so often, they have "sun block stations". They have 5-6 gallon bottles of sun block with pumps, to use as often as u need. So if u forget yours! Don't worry! THEY GOT YA COVERED!

Chad Wheeler

Great park, but I feel that they probably lose lots of money and business because they close so early in comparison to some of the other parks like Cedar Point. Those few hours make a big difference to lots of people when they look at the money they've spent all together on family, snacks and games but not having the time to enjoy all the rides.

Ellaya Woodard

Wonderful place. Very family friendly amusement park for a great price. Me and my family enjoyed ourselves the two days we visited. Free drinks, longs weren’t extremely long and employee staff was very nice.

Kylie Beard

Lots of fun, we picked a great day to go- there were hardly any lines. If you're not going for the water park, there are limited things to do, but still very fun!

Junk food Skyler

Fun. Very busy and over priced. If they lowered the prices they would sell a ton more. Make the place bigger. Bring more attractions. I wish they could do more interactive movie rides like universal.

Lacy Wathen

Good times! Water park is great, and rides are fun. Be prepared to spend some money but overall experience is worth it.

Maribeth Campbell

You have a wide variety of products available, which is great. However, you do not back them. I spoke with a supervisor named CJ at the trading company in hurricane bay. We bought one of your H2Odyssey waterproof holders. There was a hole in product. I simply asked for a refund or another product. I was told to call the number on the back of the package. Another customer at the same time had one with a broken clip that was able to get a replacement. Supposedly because the sales representative admitted to thinking they broke it. Then why would the rep let them leave with the product? Why would you think the rep could slam one in the drawer and not the other?

Amanda West

We we're thrown out because I was wearing my phone and money in a waterproof pouch that they sell. I had it connected to my necklace and was NEVER asked to remove it (I would have taken it off had I been asked). On other rides they just suggested tucking it in my shirt. I wear two shirts daily because I feel more comfortable that way, well on a roller coaster my tank top fell down there for making my case fall from my shirt and when I got off the ride with my daughter they had a safety officer three wire is up, tell me criminal charges could be brought against me and kick us out. No warnings. Nothing. The day before my sister in law and mother on law got mouthy with staff over a clothing rule, safety officers were called after the ride and they were given a warning and allowed to stay. There were a couple of details there I will leave out, but let's just say I was discriminated against. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, the park and will be contacting am attorney since they are free through my job. We will NEVER return here, the customer service is HORRIBLE. I do not like confrontation, never have, and had I been asked I would have removed it, but it was not a loose article.

Aaron Hoff

Took our 2 and 4 year old grandkids. They loved it. Rode every ride they could and was asleep before we left the parking lot. Win win!

Shelby Osborne

It's not bad for a small amusement park. I believe it should be cheaper for how small it is. They need to improve on the waterpark and add more small vendors. To me it was a one time place. Overall it wasn't a bad, just small.

Mary Radcliffe

Appreciate Ky Kingdom for our annual Pride Day this past Sunday. Weather was great so it was packed. Spent most of the day in Lazy River because lines for other water park attractions were too long.

Luis Oms

For a local amusement park, it's great. The water park is really good. Rides are fun. The staff can is nice.

Calvin Shelby

Kentucky Kingdom is amazing park. The rides are fun and thrilling. The park is clean and the staff is nice and friendly. Most the bad reviews are pointless because they don’t get their way there at the park and they want to write a bad review. The rides are safe and no they are not broken. Don’t make no sense why people will say that. This place added major new rides every year and they are not done yet. Kentucky Kingdom is the most best independent park around and they sure will make your experience great. Don’t listen to the bad reviews! Go and check out the park yourself and see what Kentucky Kingdom has to offer for Louisville!

Jody Horn

It was fun. I find it better than Kings Island because the kids didn't have to wait for hours to ride a ride. They might not have as much but they definitely make up for it with wait times. The only reason for the 4 star is because in the Hurricane Bay area, they had several little eateries closed.

John Osborne

A fun family place. Well kept and clean. Really good coaster rides. We'll be back!!

AClayton

Great amusement park. Out of state guest get a 2 day pass and unlimited drinks for 39.99 great deal. Lots of drink refill stations everywhere. Water park and rides. Food choices limited no healthy options really but a few places u can eat inside where there is AC Sea lion show very short 15 minutes then it's over and u can wait on a line to get ur picture. 5d show was fun.

Phalinda Sykes

This amusement park is so big, glad I get to go the next day free. Hurricane bay wave pool is very powerful, lost my glasses

Bianca Salvatore

I wish that you did not have to walk around just to get ice cream when you're clear across the park and every other place is closed. Make sure if you ever go there if you want ice cream that you ask what place is open we went to four different places and only one was open and that was the one at the entrance gate. Just bothers me it happened two years in a row now!

Yvonne Lender

This park was excellent! They really care about their guest by offering free sunscreen stations and drink stations throughout the park. First Class Park! Thank you for your hospitality!

Zachary Stone

Kentucky Kingdom is a great, family friendly amusement part that doesn't have all the bells and whistles. Would I like more from an amusement park? Sure. But the great thing about Kentucky Kingdom is they know how to balance cost/value. The cost of entry is amazing, and being so close to the park, buying a season pass makes it easy to come and go without having to spend a whole day to get your monies worth. The kids area is great, many little rides you can take your little ones on. Even your smallest kids that get in for free, can ride a good amount of rides with a parent present. The water park is great on a hot day, the food, although pricey is good. I took one star off because there is a few things that can be improved on. A lot of the staff don't smile/talk to you/acknowledge you exist. And then those who are kind, are working alone and in a panic because they haven't been trained properly. All that aside, it's a great value if you get a season pass and are able to visit more than 2-3 times a year.

Gordon Geise

A terrific park. Storm Chaser is an absolutely wonderful coaster. Lightning Run is also quite good. The new Kentucky Flyer is small (like just this side of kiddie-coaster) but still fun.

Richie Gillum

Very fun. Employees nice and helpful and park overall clean and safe. Some of the other guests were rude from time to time throughout the day but I suppose you will see that with any large gathering of people.

Eric J

Something for everyone and everyone had a great time. Free drinks and free sunscreen are nice perks, and appreciated, but the sunscreen stations run out very fast and the soda fountains are too often mislabeled (i.e. orange Gatorade actually comes out as red or sierra mist comes out as fruit punch etc.). The only other gripe I have is the inflated prices for food. $10 for an overcooked hamburger, that kind of thing. If you don't allow outside food, the food prices should at least be reasonable. Other than that, everything else was fine. It's a pretty well oiled machine compared to equivalent parks.

DREAMER CREATIONS

I had a good time in general. The only thing that made my day worse is (and i rarely ever give less than 5 stars if its just minor) i went on a rollercoaster i believe is called T3. sat in the front seat and was enjoying the ride, but when i got off, i was combing my fingers through my hair to untangle some knots, and in my hair, is the most OILY STICKY MESS ive ever seen. Its some kind of thick brown grease. I wish they had wiped it off after they used it

Don Cheek

Thrill rides that make you so happy to touch ground again. It was extremely hot and very little bit of area to get under a shade. But always have a great time, the lines can be very long at times.

Barbara Shireman

Always so clean, friendly, and so much fun! Jefferson is such an amazing employee, he had a lovely chat with us on his break. It's the little things that make it such a wonderful place to spend time making memories!!!!

Lucky In Kentucky

If you are thinking about visiting Kentucky Kingdom, do it! It's a great amusement park. Very clean and well landscaped. The employees are very nice. Although the park isn't huge it has a great coaster lineup (Lighting Run and Storm Chaser are amazing), fun thrill rides, plentiful children's/family rides and a great water park. The new coaster put in this year, Kentucky Flyer is a real winner. It was my 4 year olds first big coaster and he loved it! The ride is very fun. My son has been begging me to go back. My only complaint/suggestion is I wish there were more family attractions in the area around Storm Chaser and Eye of The Storm. As a family with a small child its hard to enjoy those attractions as things currently are laid out. Throw in a Scrambler and/or Tilt-a-Whirl over there and it would be great.

Carlos Wicks

Kentucky Kingdom is an okay Park with an okay lineup of roller coasters the flat rides are very exciting. The park is very clean and the landscape is very appealing. The dispatch on the rides are very slow but when the park is not crowded it kind of makes up for it. The food was very tasty and very well priced the price of admission was well worth it.

Renee Collins

Fun for all ages. Enjoyed the sea lion show and hurricane bay was a good time on a hot day. Long lines for the rides but that's typical of any amusement park I have been to. Really appreciated the free sun screen and adult beverages, although they were pricey, were actually worth the price.

Andretta Owens

The pricing wasn't bad for 2 days, parking was cheap and you get free drinks all day. We absolutely loved the water park, what fun! The rides were cool we really enjoyed it.

Victoria Shoulders

Annual family trip to KY Kingdom was a hit! Staff everywhere is such a bonus when you have a question. Open-close 2 straight days and didn’t have one problem. Kids ranged from 3–16 and everyone including the adults had a blast!

Jake Spencer

It's a fun place for kids of all ages. It's an amusement park. Nothing out of this world or groundbreaking by any means. But it's still a good time on a summer Saturday. I have to say though I really wish they would've leaned into the Kentucky theme a bit more. I would've liked to see a Mammoth cave themed ride at the very least.

Abby C.

Very fun amusement park! We got a season pass this year and have been very happy. Staff is kind and the rides are fun. The waterpark has plenty of ride for young kids. The food is good for a theme park. Will definitely visit again.

Ben Kelley

Easy parking and lines were lengthy but moving. Variety of activities and easy highway access to the theme park. A good day of fun and play.

Danny Vaughn jr

It's been 21 years sense I was here last. And besides a few ride name changes. It's just as much fun as it was then.

sandra rice

My granddaughter and I have so much fun at Kentucky Kingdom. We are season pass holders. You can't beat the price for a season pass. There is so much to do at Kentucky Kingdom. They have fun, safe rides, snd the water park has lots of choices too. It is a clean, family-friendly park. The staff are so nice, polite, and helpful. They check on customers to see if they are O.K. I know because they have asked me before when I was so hot. I was so touched that they even noticed. I am thankful we have such a nice amusement park in town to take the children and grandchildren. I just wish I was off work in the summer, so I could take my granddaughter more often, but I am thankful to have a job. We go on the weekends and have so much fun! Thank you Kentucky Kingdom!

Joe Cheeks

Love the water park. But. If they are going to let one parent go down the baby water slides together with his or her child. They should let the next.

Rebecca Scott

Didnt have a lot for a 2 year old to do, but there were a few rides she could ride. It was pretty clean and everyone was really helpful and nice. It was a great day and plan on going again.

Jessica Boze

Only gave 1 star cause you have too. NOT WORTH IT!!! If you are not under a certain weight or height you can NOT ride anything and do NOT go by what they say. Had a 16 year old not be able to ride ANYTHING because she was too tall and another not be able to ride any coasters but 1 because she didn't fit. Will NEVER go back!!! CEDAR POINT or Kings island is worth every extra dollar!!!!

Kimberly Campbell

Very nice park! Out of state visitor tickets made it a cheap little getaway. Free drinks paid for themselves quickly especially in the 95 degree weather! Some of the employees were a little rude, seemed like they didn't want to be there but then others were very friendly and helpful! Bathrooms were always clean!

Cutlass Supreme

No one who works here acts like they know what's going on. No one in any restaurant or food stand want to wait on you, and are often just plain rude. Might be one of the worst run amusement parks in the country. Management needs to institute a crash course in customer service and train some of the employees in basic courtesy. when you have 20 people working in a restaurant and not ONE person can take your order or act like they have any sense, there are problems. Hope the ride inspectors are doing their job because nobody else is, including whoever is supposed to be in charge.

Jack McReynolds

Ok so I’m 13 but who cares. A friend invited me to Kentucky kingdoms Halloween thing where there open from 6-12 midnight and we drove 4 hours for it. So we get there and waited for one main roller coaster called thunder run and had a blast then we went to one of the zombie haunted houses also was a blast but then it was probably 9:50 pm and went to ride more roller coasters keep in mind the park would be open till 12:00 midnight. We get to the next ride and a guy said it was closed and so we’re all the other rides and then all 5 of us were kinda mad that there were signs that said open till midnight but the rides close at 10:00 pm. All we did was do one ride and a haunted house. There were five us and each ticket cost 30$ so that was 150$ Before tax. Then a hotel for the night for around a hundred and gas so In total around $300. So that’s like throwing all that money in pit fire pit and not being able to get it back. On the website to buy tickets it NEVER said anything about the rides closing at 10:00. Overall it was a waste but the haunted house and the one ride were really fun.

smokeout captain

It's a fun place but there glasses policy is bogus for people that are legally blind and need their glasses to see I understand their policy that you can't ride the rides with them and that they are being safe but it's not safe when the legally blind can't see on a ride either they have straps that cost money but don't know how much but they should make the straps free for those that have to wear prescription classes it would make more sense and charge those that wear sunglasses for straps and that wanna wear their sunglasses on the rides please fix this policy and I will change my rating and will give you more stars it's just not right. No more free drinks either they are a $1.00 now smh so try not to faint or pass out from the heat.

Hakan Dilsiz

It is a very nice family park. There may not be as many rides and attractions as some if the competition but what they have is a lot of fun for the whole family. They have a dedicated section for toddler rides. Adult rides are a bit aged but still give the thrills. My only concern is the food selection. All they have is fried food and pizza type of carnival food. Not much alternatives. It is well maintained and clean.

Tressie Derossett

Our experience was good except for one thing that we think they need to change. The water slide with tubes needs the scale at the bottom of the ride. My kids waited in line for 30 to 45 minutes to get to the top to find out they were to heavy to ride then to get back down they had to walk past all the other people in line..

Kevin Katerberg

Has a great time in the park over the past 2 days. Dry area rides send to have fairly short waits, water park though had much longer wait times, though much shorter than we have had at Holiday World. It seems slides could be released a but quicker than they are without compromising safety. Loved how big of waves there was in the wave pool much better than I recall from other parks. Loved the coasters road all but the wooden one (they tend to hear me around too much). Especially loved storm chaser. My main issue rollercoaster seats are too small, not sure if it would be possible to have one seat in one row designed to accommodate the 95+percentile. Without fail the operator had to push the bar down 2 additional times to get it to the computer system approved limit. It seemed most of the issue fitting was due to my height not my weight. The other was many of the operators of the 5 person large disk water slide would intentionally splash guests when getting raft into water. It was a relatively cold day so none of us appreciated it, my daughter in particular was shivering. Some seemed to do it as a joke while others because they where frustrated/mad. Suggest that a splash guard could easily be installed with a small deck drain to eliminate this issue. I saw it was clearly on purpose because other operators did it with little to no splash while using the same or less effort to get raft in place.

Laura Delaquis

We want to love Kentucky Kingdom, but each time we go there always seems to be some kind of issue with rides that we want to ride not working, food facilities being closed, and while I totally get that you can't please everyone, the poor attitudes of a lot of the workers in the kids area is always very disappointing. I know it's hot, they deal with people all day long, etc but we've got little kids who love to ride the rides in the kid area, it would be great if the staff was kid friendly:) There is so much potential Ky Kingdom, we won't give up yet, we love having season passes.

Christopher Wright

Season pass holder. Free parking, $1 drinks, discount on everything. Free sunscreen. The rides are great and the staff is friendly.

Doug Stern

Fun, reasonably clean. Good rides (from the perspective of two 13-year-old boys). However, the facilities are really showing their age.

Terry Bruner

I love this place! Best place to bring kids of all ages! More variety of rides and great water park! 2 days with free drinks $40.00.

Rebecca

Been a couple of times, really fun, free sunscreen, eat before you go so you don't spend alot & grab a map

Denise Thom

The park is great but I don’t like the fact that I paid for a season pass and it states online that the park closes Mon-Thurs at 7 pm so even if I choose to enter the park at 6 I expect to be able to enter the park! I come at 6pm on a Thursday and you gone tell me I can’t come in because you close at 7 but it’s 6 O'clock! Don’t make sense

Kaelin Pierce

Was rather disappointing. Service was rather mediocre. Most shops & places serving food were below average on cleanliness. Id rather make a trip to Holiday World or Kings Island.

Eric Gresham

Very over priced. Ok I understand that you don't allow any outside food or beverages. But the prices should be more reasonable for just that reason. You want people to stay in the park but in order not to go broke you have to leave the park to eat. An kids eat all the time.

Leo Reichstetter

One of the best parks I've been to. The PR staff is great, customer service is great, the park is clean, and the rides don't have very long lines!

Melissa Stevens

What a disappointment. This place is ran down extremely bad. Nothing has been updated ever. I figured after re opening a few years ago they would have updated and cleaned up. Looks like they just opened right up. Everything is faded, wooden board rotten etc. We went to the water park it was ran down too. To look at the rest of the park I’m sure they skimmed on chlorine too. Never any smell of it. Which scared me, this is one place that needs a lot of it. And the amount of filthy people was unreal. I was concerned to even let my kids in the water. They went to change in the changing area and it smelled like weed something horrible. So we had to find else where to go. People walking around with adult drinks. This place is out of control and not family oriented at all! We left without riding one ride. I don’t trust this park at all. Save your self time and money and go else where

regina maynard

Very nice place. good ride nice people only thing is high on drinks. $3.00 for water. 10 for a cake but its all good.

Wes Harris

The water park has a great wave pool and lazy river. They have several decent roller coasters. The bbq nachos and pineapple sole whip waffle cones are awesome. The free fall was our favorite ride.

Melinda Dye

Spent most of last Saturday in Hurricane Bay, and I cannot say enough about Jefferson, who was manning Adventure River most of the day! He was so enthusiastic, so cheerful! He really made our day there so much brighter! Thanks Jefferson for being so awesome!!

Andrew Smith

We had been here before last year and had a blast but yesterday was amazing! The parking was a bit of an issue last year especially during the fair. Nothing was really marked or made clear where or how to park if we were just going to the amusement park. Yesterday there was a large car show going on at the expo center and parking was a breeze. There were clearly marked signs for Kentucky Kingdom and it was very easy to get in! We had an absolute blast! The lines were short and the park was very clean and maintained! The Kentucky Flyer is a really fun family coaster and we rode it 3 times in a row without having to get off! We enjoyed the water park and got to do everything we wanted. It's very easy to transition to the water park and dry park which I love. We were able to leave and watch the sea lion show and then get back to the wave pool with next to no hassle! We ended the night in the kids area and my daughter rode everything multiple times with no wait. They also have nice benches and shade for the adults while the kids do their thing. I also love the landscaping and greenery around the park. They really do a good job of making it look nice. Highly recommend Kentucky Kingdom!

Sandra Hernandez

Had a great time at Kentucky kingdom, we have season passes which make it great because we can choose to stay for the whole day or just go for a couple of hours and come back later. Lots of exciting rides for everyone in the family.

Misty Williams

Huge park full of enjoyable rides for all ages, amazing clean water park my children loved! Only issues were the high cost of food and short staff creating long lines at times. The staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful, however upon my inquisition I was disappointed to hear the staff members are not treated better. They are paid $8 an hr with no discounts on food, admission or memberships. Personally, I feel if the staff were offered some sort of benefit even on their meals for lunch this would provide them with an incentive to want to return the following season to work again.

christina smentkowski

Fantastic place to go! Took my 10 year old for her birthday on a Tuesday in July. No lines at the rides! Water park was fantastic! Free sunscreen is for real! Only free parking and drinks for season ticket holders. Food was expensive and generic. The park is set up awesome with waterpark in the middle and everything else surrounding it. She had a great time and so did we!

Jeff Totten

Me and family had a blast!! Was literally no wait to get on any ride besides maybe 10 minutes. Food options not so great tho but overall was worth it and fun

tada502

Great fun place. Been going here ever since I was a little kid. So happy that they are bring back hallo scream. The new rides are also fun. The water part is also great. Some of the food and games are a bit pricey.

Courtney Swisher

Park is clean, lots fun for our family, but please do not book your trip on the site !!! The company that handles these bookings, ARES Hotels and Tickets, located in San Diego is nearly impossible to contact they. They do not respond to emails, and the 800 number goes to a voicemail , but trust me your voicemail even if you leave 7 of them will not be answered and certainly not returned !! Not to mention the "deal" is really not much of a deal at all !! Once I finally reached someone it was to late to make the changes I needed to my tickets and hotel reservation, and there was no manager or supervisor available to help address my concerns and I was told I could not leave a message or number because the manager nor supervisor does call backs. I will have to call back on my own , though I do not have high hopes for any help or assistance .

Old Bear

We had a really great time at Kentucky Kingdom, they have a roller coaster for everyone! We went mid September and didn't have to wait in any crazy long lines. The waterpark has lots to do, the whole park was clean and the staff were super friendly!. They have free soda, water, sports drinks and sunscreen. It's not quite as good as Holiday World yet but it's getting there! We loved the whole place, thank you for a very affordable way to spend the day

Callean Ilonka

I was surprised at all the attendants and how clean the park was. I went 2 days in a row and had a blast with my family. Plenty of sunscreen and free drinks. Food is a little pricey I definitely recommend bringing a cooler and leaving it in the car, and parking if you don’t have a pass is $10 each day. Great place and great for young children. Love this place and the lines never be too long. If you haven’t been one need to go you won’t be disappointed.

Shelby Marshall

Today was our first time visiting the park. IT WAS FABULOUS. The facility, the rides, and all the staff were so great! We will he returning, no doubt!

Rk Ramsay

Went on a Monday and the crowds were not bad at all. The wait for rides was very brief and lots of fun. T3 was one of my favorite. Thunder Run is a wooden coaster that really should be called whiplash run. The whole park was awesome. I really had a great time.

The Guywhoisalivingmeme

The rides are super fun, the staff is super friendly, I go here alot and it never gets old. Recommend to anyone who likes family time and a good thrill!!

Kenneth Rimmer

The fair was good as usual. Lots of food, just pick the right vendor. Don't get the meatball sub. It's just 3 meatballs in a soggy hot dog bun. Definitely not worth $9. Lots of rides for the kids. All kinds of cool things to see and do.

Ruby A

This place has one of the best service there is. They take the best procedures when evacuating because while the airport beside it had alarms going off for a tornado warning, all of the visitors and employees had to go. Those with without a ride had to go to another buildings to keep them safe. I had took my bike slippers (because I went swimming that day) and booked it to my car while another visitor told her friend to come on before she gets swooped.

Kimberly K.

Water park was great..even for us older people. My only concern was that young teens were checking bags. Really? They would not know how to deal with a true danger if they cane across weapons or a major situation. Can't take water in..but easily ..if we wanted..we could have gotten our concealed weaposn in to do some protecting that those teens sure wouldn't have been able to do. Places need to start allowing personal protection..and seriously.. sealed drink containers. People do have medical issues...and not $5 for drinks constantly. . Just voicing opinions.. But again..water park was great. Thank you!

brandon dempsey

Our backpack was stolen by a employee. He was a lifeguard. Luckily a nice police officer was able to track my IPhone with the app. It was located in the employee locker room. They found the employee with my phone in his hand going through the bag. Along with other stolen items in the bag. The items in the bag had a value of over $1000. The park and the employees did little to nothing to help besides take a lost and found form. Thankful for the officers who help recover my belonging. Had gotten season passes for me and my family every year since they reopened. I will not be spending anymore money here!

Carrie Skaggs

$40 for out of state guests for 2 consecutive days. Ticket price included all day drinks and sunscreen. My son and his friends had a blast. Lines weren't long, employees were friendly.

April Colling

This is a wonderful amusement park. Several roller coasters, great water park with a large wave pool. Friendly staff. Food prices are reasonable for an amusement park. Restrooms could be better stocked and maintained.

Terrance Graham

This is a great place to bring family of all ages. They have larger thrill rides and water attractions and mini versions for the kids. They have a 5D family movie experience that is enjoyable for everybody. The only tick is the prices of the food and drink, which is kind of expensive. But overall a great park.

Tammy Widener

The families first time visiting this amusement park and we had a blast! Beautiful place with friendly staff. Something for everyone to do. We will most definitely be going back in the near future!

Adam Large

Great amusement park. Several great roller coasters. Nice water park good value. Food was ok. Very minimal wait for all the attractions. Fun rides for the little ones. Will definitely come back

S. Collins

I really enjoy the water park the best, but the rollercoaster are a blast too! You can't beat the free parking with a Kentucky Kingdom pass. The passes are huge bargain when they first go on-sale for that year. Fun, fun, fun for the whole family!

Robin Proffitt

Had an amazing time taking my daughters for their first time! I wish their drinks were free like Holiday world. Regardless they had a great time just hot!

Amanda Carter

It was very clean and ride wait times were pretty quick. Good variety of rides for children of all sizes. We go mostly just for the water park.

Vincent Grays Jr.

Loved my time here at the Kingdom it was so fun My wife and son had the best time of their life we will definitely come back

Sean Bennett

Really cool, interesting park. Makes a great day or two of fun. I wouldn't say that you could easily spend more than two days here, but it is a blast while you're there. Lines move quickly and park staff are friendly.

Rob Dark

Only went to Hurricane Bay because I love water parks. Definitely going again! Had a blast!

Noobula

Good price. Slow on mondays n Tuesdays to visit, which is good. Soft drinks cost $, parking costs $. Only water n sun block is free. Smaller park than thought but nice to visit.

Alejandro Antia

We took the two days pass. It was amazing.the whole family had fun, sure we will go again. 100% recomended.

June Hallowel

Great price, very clean, great rides. We have been to several midwest theme and water parks and like this one best for sure. We will be back!

Lesha Clark

Loved the very resonable price. Two days, 2 parks. Unlimited drinks, tubes and sunscreen all day. Practically no lines or wait for any ride. Either day. The only problem that I really did notice was the water park. People who cannot climb all the stairs for their disability cannot enjoy the water slides.

Kaesey Malone

Visited for the first time with my husband & 2 kids from Indiana last week and we had a great time and will definitely be back! The 2-day pass is definitely worth it! It was so hot that we should have spent both days at Hurricane Bay, but we also wanted to do coasters. As someone who's a little bigger, I appreciated that a lot of the coasters had an option before getting in line to "test your fit" on one of the cars. It definitely helps save from being embarrassed about not fitting in one of the seats with dozens of people staring at you. Hurricane Bay was a big hit for our 8yr old, especially the Big Kahuna and Lazy River. Although, in regards to the Lazy River, there was a set of teenagers who insisted on taking at least 20-30 of the noodles to build a makeshift "raft" and went around multiple times, picking up spare noodles floating by. Also, the Lazy River with the inner-tubes had so many empty tubes floating down it that it was hard to get through without moving one every few feet (it would make sense for the guards standing along the sides to simply grab an empty tube when it floats by, if they can reach it). I love the sunscreen stations, however there should be more throughout the actual amusement park, not just Hurricane Bay (I only saw one behind the small swings). All of the employees were encountered were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

Johnathan Stewart

This place has a amazing fun for all ages. Great price for out of state visitors for 2 days. Also has two parks. One water park and one amusement park. It is a challenge to find water park rides for anyone 36-42 inches. Unlimited drinks and sunscreen. Sunscreen is SPF 50 and it is a lotion. The Unlimited drinks came as a package with out of state ticket price.

Tomas Breitinger

Really good for the price! Especially recommend the out of state deal, way worth it. Kept us plenty busy for both days for only $40 a person! Rides and water park were both entertaining and pretty good

Teresa Campbell

Such a nice place, can enjoy the rides and do the water park at same location and same price. Remember to bring your flip-flops for hurricane bay as it gets hot on little feet. No wait at lines on Friday and the weather was perfect. 5 year old had to see the movie ride twice. The water lion and seal show was worth seeing, wish it was a little longer. The hamburger and chicken fingers were unexpectedly good. They provide sunscreen at several locations if you forget to bring your own. You can refill water through out park. Overall great experience.

Karen DenDulk

Plenty of rides for the big and little kids. Loved the Sea Lion show! Plenty of benches to sit and rest. Food choices were good.

Emma Douglas

My husband and i had a great time today. Parking was easy. Lines were pretty short. Recommend going on the thunder run! The two young men running that ride were awesome!! Had all of us singing the sponge bob theme song before we we went on it.

Kay Sue

We took advantage of the out of state 2 days for the price of 1 deal. Today was our first day and I can't think of any complaints. We did the Kentucky Kingdom side today and are saving the water park side for tomorrow (will update). We ordered tickets online and all I had to do was pull it up on my phone and they could scan them at the entrance. We then went through bag check, then an additional snack check for my toddlers snacks, but Cheerios and applesauce pouches seemed to pass the test and were allowed. We received armbands that give you access to free Pepsi products throughout the park. Be warned ahead of time, they're cups without lids or straws so if you're pushing a stroller, it gets messy. The park is sort of organized in a way that the age group rides are near one another, making it convenient to do all the little kid things without extra walking. We also were able to catch the free sea lion show and it was probably the highlight of my day. They were adorable and I recommend checking it out. There are areas with fans to help cool off, was a little disappointed they didn't have the cooling mist machines, though, but the fans definitely helped. Overall everything was conveniently located and its a nice little family getaway.

MAMA WRIGHT

What a lovely amusement park! We had so much fun here! Lots of rides and water parks! Free drink refills all day, no long lines, nice gift shops! Staff was friendly and helpful. What an awesome time we had at Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay!

Nathan Hurt

I grew up with Kentucky Kingdom when it was six flags. After reopening, it has come pretty far. Rebuilt many rides and added others. Single tickets usually run expensive, but the season passes are a good value. I have not ridden all the rides yet, but many of the classics are still there as well as some cool new ones. This park is good for all ages. They have something for everyone. There is a kids area with nothing but rides for little one's. Then you have some pretty intense roller coasters. When you add the water park, you have a fun filled day for the family. The food is decent, but expect to pay too much for it. Sunscreen is free and they have soft drink stations that are cheap. I've been to Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane bay many times and it is still a great place to visit.

Chris Johnston

I'm local to Kentucky Kingdom and have loved this place for years, everytime I come and ride I have an absolute blast with friends and family of any age. Season passes run a good deal when they're offered and even better getting an early bird special price. I also like how they do events as a holiday special too. They have a craft beer garden and beach bar but the prices are high, so is food and drink. Overall I meet good people and have a blast each time I go (still have to ride all the rides)

Chris Aviles

Not as big as some other theme parks like Cedar Point, but for the price it's a much better value. Especially if you're from out of state. If so they have a current special of 2 days at the park to include the waterpark with unlimited free soft drinks for $40. There may not be as many rides as some of the bigger parks but there is still a good amount and they are good quality.

Joshua Patton

My family had a great time. Just wish the drinks where free. Did save on out of state price but I wish they had drinks like they do holiday world. 4 bucks is high with 8 of us.. But other than that we loved it ..

Chris Foster

Great place, lots of fun. Season pass is worth it even if you only go twice or even once really. We got one of the private awnings in the water park area with a mini fridge, table and chairs. Money super well spent. Their people are good about checking to make sure only people who should be in there go and security is good but they still give you your own safe there in your section as well to keep your stuff in. If you're spending the day there and you have the extra money it's completely worth it.

Jerriishant Johnson

Great guest service. Claire was very helpful, nice, respectful, and knowledgeable. It was my first time there. I'm definitely going back.

Jo Davidson

We had a great time other than the food an drink prices. Those were outrageous. My family from now on will take our food and drinks with us.

A Mazloum

Beautiful place for kids.. had too much fun with the family and I would recommend it to locals and out if town as well.

Kenneth Clayton

Great place for the rides and attractions. I would have given 5 stars, but the service and wait at the restaurants was way too long for the crowds. The crowds were light but I had to walk away from one of the restaurants after 20 minutes of waiting. The server saw me and acknowledged me being next. She then went on to serve everyone else, even though I was obviously ahead of them in line. My kids however had a great time. So, 4 stars.

Lynne Huff

Had such a great time with my children and grandchildren !! Much needed !! We loved it here. It was quite hot .. But the water rides were perfect !!

Kelli Santana

Enjoyable and fun. The staff was very nice and helpful. Fun for the whole family.

Thomas Glotfelty

Fantastic park, nice and clean. Very well run. Would recommend to everybody.

Brian Perkins

This is an outstanding amusement park. The rides, food and facilities are top notch. I was impressed by the service and quality we received at such a great price. I highly recommend this park to families and groups of all sizes. You will not be disappointed.

Christin Carter

My husband and I took our kids for a weekend and we had an amazing time. It's not very expensive plus you can go 2 days if you are from out of town. I recommend going. Lots of fun.

Ted Hettel

Hurricane Bay was great! Very clean restrooms and changing rooms. Plenty of lockers available. Concessions are very close to waterpark and even had a bar area for the adults.

Erica Gowin

Visiting from Tennessee. Haven't been here since about 2003. Finally got to bring my kids. We all had a blast. The out of state deal is killer! We got to go 2 days in a row and got free drinks and sunscreen. We also rented a cabana which was nice. I just wished they stayed open a little longer. Closing at 7pm on weekdays and 8pm on weekends seems too early.

Marshall Young

Bought season passes for a family of 4 we went once because even though we liked the park itself the lines were long ans the park closes way too early it needs to be open till 9 pm!! And the MAIN ISSUE WAS THE AMOUNT OF FILTHY PEOPLE IN THAT WATER ONE GUY HAD ON MECHANICS CLOTHING WHICH SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED GROSS AND THE WATER REEKED OF PISS SO WE DIDN'T GO BACK THEY NEED MORE CHLORINE IN THEIR WATER ESPECIALLY THE LAZY RIVER!!!

Patricia Atkisson

It was a great place to spend some fun time with 3 of my sister's. My only complaint (no fault of the park) was it was too hot of a day, and no we didn't visit the water park and it looked like a very good time there.

D. Ferguson

Had a great time at Kentucky Kingdom only 39.99 and get 2nd day free. There was no long lines and the weather was perfect. Not everything was open as far as food places and few extra attractions but otherwise was great time. Loved the Storm Chaser roller coaster, not the biggest or fastest bit one the funniest I ever rode. Plan to go back at least one time before season is over. Park offers free sun screen and drinks too.

jonathon segraves

This place has it all! From 8$ beers to 1$ ring toss. Hurricane bay is a great place to cool of in between thrill seeking on the many roller coasters. Its best to come on the weekdays as the price is substantially cheaper.

Thomas Finch

Ky kingdom was great. The water park is awesome. The rides are really cool. The staff were very friendly and the park is very clean. We enjoyed it.

Missy Calhoun

Great deals for amusement park and water park free soft drinks what more could you ask for.. great time with family

sno baby101

It wasn't bad for a small park. I don't like that your not allowed to bring snacks or at least water in. I had fun there, but quickly ran out of things to do within a few hours. You don't need all day to explore. Really needs to expand and gets more thrilling rides. The price was pretty good. Hours are a little short. 11 AM to 7 PM weekdays. If it was upgraded and hours extended this would be an idea place to spend a summer.

Donna DuBois

This was one AWESOME park!!!!! I was visiting the Midwest and was surprised by being taken there, only to have the time of my life!!! Plus, I was lucky enough to get the 2 day pass! Even with that I still didn't really make a dent in the cool rides and slides! I just hope to be able to make it back there one day. Because this place now holds a very special place in my heart! Oh, and did I mention that the staff there is a wonderful group of very caring individuals! I talked to the sweetest security guard ever there, too! His name is Brendon. Ask him if he remembers a lady from Washington State who wanted to get him a cold drink. And I showed him a picture of Mt Rainier. And the lifeguard that tried so hard to help me find some lost sunglasses. And the workers at the fee drink stands, especially the one that I saw crying. Someone had been really rude to her. The workers there are very special people and definitely earn their money. But if you want to go to the coolest place on earth in the hot summer, then I guarantee you that the Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay will totally make your summer!!!

Mrs Melanie Odom

It is nice but when you have a 1yr old not a lot to do. But I did enjoy the rides that she could get on with me. A lot of them a 1 yr old can't get on even in the kid section. Which I think isn't fair. Now a $1 for a 12 once cup every time you get thirsty is a much as well. Even water you have to pay a dollar for and baby's can't even get a free drink is a bit much as well and no ramp for strollers when wanting to watch a show is a bit much to only handicap people have a gate only open to them but a stroller ramp would be nice.

Cami Coke

King Louis area was great for the smaller kids. Lines for rides were great. Parking was well managed considering there was also a festival & a concert going on.

Becky Buchanan

This was a awesome place!! I road rides I've never road. My family and I had a outstanding time. This is a great place to visit.

Michele Radcliff

What ever you do, don’t go into the wave pool- which for most is a given, but some don’t know..... if was very nasty- riddled with feces and a completely used female sanitary pad! Be aware!

David Sadler

Rides are pretty good. Lines for food and drinks are always slow and it seems like it's due to the workers or processes. They run out of some drinks and ice all the time, and don't expect them to refill it quickly. It's better just to go find a different drink station. Food and drink is also expensive even for a theme park, most other theme parks are more reasonable.

TK Ent.

Fun place to go for kids and adults alike. Wait times depend on the rides of course. The employees were happy to assist me and my group and we were met with smiling faces.

Chris Arnold

A great place to take the kids, especially if you go when it's not quite so busy! Plenty of rides and a great water park.

Rich Stew

We visited here for the kids "before back to school" trip. We had a two day pass, so we rode some rides the first day and then we did the water park the next day. The weather was great for riding the rides. It was sunny, in the low 80's with a little breeze. The adults thought it was a little cool for the water park, but the kids didn't (go figure). The lines were not that long for some rides, and other rides barely a line. Snacks and food were a little pricey, but that is expected. The park was pretty clean and friendly. I would recommend going during the week, less of a crowd. Wonderful time had by all. Will come again.

David Sluka

Absolutely love it. Family friendly, out of state price is 40 dollars for two days plus fee drinks. Can't beat the value and my family loved it! Definitely coming back.

Jaelynne Nichols

Love this place. We go here every year and the roller coasters are amazing, the staff is excellent, and it's just incredible.

Ariana Lovings

The cutest little amusement park I have ever visited! And the ticket price was quite reasonable. I think it’s best to go for the summer because the water park is open. If you go when the water park is closed... well there is only 6 rollercoasters I believe, so for me this is a summertime place to visit.

Sara Haynie

Nice amusement park it to small and not to big. We had lots of fun. Things for all ages to do. Like how all the water stuff was mixed in with the rides and not separate.

Laura McEachern

There is a second wave pool that is smaller that was great for our seven year old. There are lots of rides and water activities for a variety of ages and abilities. The downsides were the cost of the food (pricey) and the entrance and exit for parking were odd and somewhat challenging to navigate.

Christy Farris

It was fun!! The roller coasters were freakin awesome!!! I don't like the fact that there is alcohol sold in places like this. There could've been more smoking areas. The food wasn't the greatest. Needs paved parking lot. I rode rides I said I wouldn't. It was a great gift to share with my family of sisters! I love them all! This is probably the last major event with the group, it was bitter sweet. You all be sweet to each other....Love Heals

J. P.

A fantastic place to bring your whole family! We had a great time. Even though you are not permitted to bring in food, we packed ours and enjoyed it in our car before going in. Our daughter had a blast and we discovered more places to enjoy while riding the big wheel!

Ryan Harris

The rides were fun. But as far as staff goes, there were only a select few that were friendly. A lot of them it was apparent that they didn't want to be there. I think when looking at such a "family friendly" place such as an amusement park that does not look all that good on the company.

Many Me

Park employees are friendly! Love how if there's nobody next in line for a coaster you can re ride! Unlike the other park next door (sad!). Great waterpark and very clean. Recommend to visit here!

Kelly Baugh

Very nice amusement park. Although the bathrooms in the water park need more constant attention every one seemed to filthy. Overall my family and I enjoyed our trip.
