We have all the opinions of people who are purchasing the products of Indianapolis Canal Walk (Park) near to the state of Indiana.
At the present this firm gets a score of 4.7 stars over 5 and that score has been based on 1349 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings is virtually the highest, and it is founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the rating is quite credible. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Park belongs to the category of Athletic park.
Bit expensive. Oyher types of boats seemed more reasonable. Was really cool. Went with my girl. Only place to do this down a canal in the middle of the city. I'd go again you should too
They've done so much to make this much more appealing for exercising but the park they've put in is amazing
I love the Indianapolis Canal Walk! We go often to bond as a family, walk around the canal, enjoyed paddle boats one evening, and I’ve even done a few family photo sessions here. It’s definitely a beautiful part of our city and while walking the lower level, closer to the actual canal you can almost forget that you are in the city. Paddle Boat renting was easy and didn’t hurt the pocketbook! It was definitely an affordable memory to make with my kiddos. - even with having a tight budget I didn’t feel like this was something I had to say no to and my kiddos really seemed to enjoy it. You definitely see all walks of life while visiting here and the people are always friendly! It has always been very clean, every time I have gone to visit, with ample amounts of parking near by. Definitely a great place to visit when you’re low on funds but feeling the need to get out and do something. I love all the art on the bridges and the all the different places to roam and sit. Will definitely continue to utilize this destination for years to come!
Beautiful scenery, wonderful walk, however a little dangerous
This is one of those “must-sees” when you visit downtown Indianapolis. You can rent paddle boats, eat at a restaurant on the canal, or walk around and take in the views of downtown.
Always great to walk down here. So relaxing
Marvelous .. like all other places, protect yourself people .. nothing to be TOO alarmed about because security is pretty spot ON ... be safe and enjoy the experience.. Ps.... good place to propose
It's such a nice walk , love going every chance I get
Really enjoy taking the family and walking. However found no bathrooms and the restraunts wont let the kids go potty because its for customers only. Sucks running to the nearest hotel to go potty.
Great place to spend a nice day, plenty to see and do. Located in downtown Indianapolis several museums to check out, restaurants to grab a drink or a bite to eat. Memorials are located along the canal as well. If you want to enjoy a full day out of the house, this is the place. You can even walk to the zoo or botanical gardens on the westside of the White River.
I love it here. So beautiful in the heart of town.
Nice walk if you don't mind the crowds
It is a Nice place to walk and have a good time
Loved seeing this walk tour with ma. Also went by the zoo, and to eagle creek that day if I remember right. Passed by Notre Dame on the highway I think which was my Step Dad's favorite team. Later went by AA meeting with them where I played UNO.
It is a canal in the heart of Indianapolis. You can walk, rent a bike, paddle boat, kayak, or take a gondola ride down the canal. Along the way there are various museums and restaurants you can stop at along the way. If you are into street art there are several murals located under the bridges in the canals. Also there is a rather large playground as well a a 911 memorial and USS Indianapolis memorial. Definitely a must see when in Indianapolis.
I love walking the canal. I bring my kids there all the time. Just gotta pay attention to the people around you as I've heard about people getting robbed and attacked! I personally have not experienced this though!
The scenic canal of the city offers the nuance of downtown experience and urban living. Great for running around or taking a walk with that special someone. If you like the water, you're in luck. In the summertime, they have a gondola service as Indy attempts to bring a piece of Venice to the city.
A calm pleasant place to walk ride or boat away from the stress of traffic. Lots of families and all kinds of people.
Nice walk but it could be further developed to make it a other better. There's no restroom for visitors to access on the canal. There could be more restaurants/activities planned out to make the place more engaging. There's only two restaurants at the moment along the entire stretch of the canal. More that stay open till later could add charm to Indy's night life
A nice place to take a peaceful safe walk. I really enjoy walking my dogs in the evening and they love going to walk here also
This is the place to go for a walk. Lots to see and do. I play Pokemon go and play down there. Lots of people usually unless you go mid week. Then there's not a while lot. Done both. Water feature the "whole" way. People live here too. So if you got enough scratch. You can be on it all the time. Take your dog. Take your family. Maybe your mistress....just kidding. Anywho, come down and enjoy a nice day down at the canal!
A small outdoor pleasure downtown. Check out the new Colts playground. Wow. It is the new best destination at any hour for those of any age wanting to pay or hang out.
Great area for a run or walk. Great for family outings as well!
Good place to walk and exercise in Indy not too much crowded but always there are people walking. Free place with nice views with water, gondolas and ducks. You can even ride kayak or paddle boats for higher prices. Also start and end of the canal is worth seeing. Well maintained and have quick access to main roads from the canal walk. Love this place as it’s replication of a little Venice Italy.
We went to the colts play scape and walked around. the sun set and even in the dark the canal was very nice.
Pretty cool space in the middle of the city. Architecture is interesting as well
Peaceful walk, we didn't take advantage of the paddle board or the gondolas but had a nice walk☺️
Great place to just relax.
My most favorable part of Indy!
Beautiful and I love this place so much
Water could be cleaner. Overall nice place to go for a short walk.
This is a great place to just spend from a couple of hours. To an entire day if you choose. There are different museums, the zoo is accessible from the canal walk. As well as the white river state park. Great place to just come and spend a day!
We went for a nice lazy stroll and this place was perfect with the kid. And boating just made more enjoyable.
The Canal Walk is beautiful. Great place to see part of the city and even get some exercise.
Beautiful walk, semi liberal, nice restaurants. Missing guides for orientation
Had a blast hanging out with my sister in Indianapolis for her birthday. Will visit area again when in Indianapolis.
It is so pretty and calming! Such a wide variety of people and events, and it's a but cooler than up at the normal level!! The fountains are great, as are the murals. Such a lovely part of Indy, definitely check it out!
Love the environment and scenery!!! Great talks and vibes.
It was a peaceful place to walk and tons of great scenery and stops to make along the way
Such a nice walk!, enjoy the ducks and gooses. You can rent kayaks, waterbikes, or get a gondolier to push you around and sing for you. I think this would be a great place for a getaway weekend. Downtown is pretty close and you can find many places close by to eat.
Great place to take a walk around the canal. Very romantic. Strong sewer smell made the walk less than appealing though.
It was just okay. I was hoping there would be shops and restaurants along the canal, but there wasn't much. The gondola ride was neat but at $30/person quite expensive for a family. Neat place to just walk for a bit. Not super friendly for parents with little ones.
Great place for tourists and natives. It is definitely has gotten A lot better since the clean up of the canal. However crime hasn't been good on the canal recently and many people have been getting robbed so i wouldn't recommend going at night.
Best place to take a stroll during the beautiful weather in the spring or summers. Felt it was a great idea to build a canal and a walk path alongside especially in the middle of the city. Everyone I saw there looked like they were having a great time. There were people running, walking, riding on scooters, just sitting and enjoying the warmth of the sun. Had been here with my friends and every one of them had a great time though we didn't expect much. I would recommend this to everyone who is visiting Indy for the first time and it's a feel good place to spend your summer evenings!
Very peaceful and beautiful place to walk
On a 92 degree day there are plenty of spots to stop and cool off at. We walked the whole canal and lived it
Excellent place to take a walk or jog. Except for a small group of dope heads smoking out in public. They shoukd stay home to this kind of thing.
This place is awesome, beautiful and so much to enjoy and do! I love it!! What a great mini vaca!! Can't wait to go back!!!
We rode longboards here and it was awesome! Great atmosphere. A perfect escape within the city
Wouldn’t walk alone here at night unless you can defend yourself but overall a nice place to walk.
Love this place didn't want to leave. Walked it during the evening till 10:30 pm beautiful. When I go back to Indy I hope to see it during the day. And to do the water boats.
Boating on the canal is really joyful ~
Very nice and well maintained Canal walkway. It is very scenic and lot of activities are carried out in and around canal. Must visiting place with friends and family.
When I went to walk the canal it was cold out and they had freshly dyed the water green for Saint's Patrick's Day. This was my first time I'd ever been. There were very few people there and it was quite. It was clean and I saw quite a few ducks. It was pretty and a lot better than I expected it to be
Love this walk and lunch at Indiana StAte Museum!
Paddle boat the canal was great. Each paddle boat fits up to 4 people for $38 an hour. The people were super helpful and Friendly. Definitely worth it, and it was okay if you went a bit over the hour. ❤
Best place to relax and watch different Events and activities around it.
Great walk. This ended up being one of our highlights of our trip to Indy. Lots of fun people watching. Fun graffiti art. Highly recommend!
Nice time with family and fun options. Paddle boats, canoes, gondolas, and a park for the kids. Easy to access and reasonable prices
The canal is beautiful, it attracts a lot of people, it's a wonderful place to exercise walk and spend quality time.
I liked it. Very pretty. However I feel the rental prices are overpriced
One of my favorite places in Indy, the canal is so beautiful. Great for evening or morning walks in the summer. And they just added an amazing playground area!
This place is a feast for the senses... museum quality art painted outdoors, paddle board, canoes, sumptuous floral displays, relaxing sounds of water, and access to cafes. The shaded seating areas make this a great spot to go on a date. Bravo Indy!
Good place to go for a walk. It's below street level so you don't have to deal with any traffic and it's decently quiet too.
Serene lovely place to have a romantic walk ..and with the playground it's a great place to take the kiddos during the day...lots of benches and restaurants with outdoor seating makes it a great place for convos...also makes for a fun scooter or bike ride with a scenic view!
The canal is so beautiful the walk is wonderful from start of the canal on 10th street to the finish on West Washington Street by the zoo and White River parkway
Great place to unwind with your kids. Great place to walk dogs if you have any. Very beautiful. More than enough to do to keep you busy, as well as relaxed.
So beautiful and fun to walk even in the rain
A nice place to walk, jog, or just chill. You can rent paddle boats, kayaks, and bikes. The downside is there are not enough well kept public restrooms. Would like to see vending to feed the ducks and geese. Overall a nice place!
What a wonderful asset for Indy! The Canal Walk provides miles of well-maintained recreation space right at the heart of downtown, with colorful murals, historic markers and art installations that all complement the canal. It’s a destination unto itself and also offers easy, protected pedestrian access to museums, restaurants and cafes.
Beautiful didn't see fish like I use to 15years ago but slit has changed lots of people live there beautiful homes
The canal is amazing!(During the day, scary at night) lol
Loved it all!! Beautiful scenery!! Has shops, cafes and restaurants along the way. You can also rent paddle boats or different kinds of boats. Will reccomend this place to everyone, from those who like to excercize, go alone, go as couples or as a family.
The Canal Walk is a beautiful place. Great place for a date or just to hang out with friends. If there were more restaurants and cafes I would give it 5 stars.
Beautiful and great for active people.
Nice walking area. Three mile long. This is similar to the one in Edina, Minnesota. Canal Walk is part of White River State Park.
My kids and I go here sometimes to relax and have a walk, eat and do more.
So fun! Rented a Paddle boat. Awesome tunnels to Paddle through on the boats. Bring 4 people and it's less than $10 each. Lovely murals and the water is a lovely blue.
Great location to take the family or a date. Be on the look out for bikes and bird scooters but it's very secenic and serene nice get away tucked away in downtown.
Great place to just walk rather it's for exercise or to just get out the house. Kid friendly
Just calm and peaceful. Better during afternoon when sun has come down.
A pleasant walk for families and people who want a safe place to exercise.
Very pretty and well maintained area to walk around and relax. Nice tribute to the USS Indianapolis as well. Only complaint would be the bicycles (both the multi-pedal rentals, and normal bicycles) pushing pedestrians to the extreme edges of the sidewalk.
Talking about feeling some peace and Serenity, take a midday stroll for yourself.
The canal is beautiful! My family and I love to go and enjoy a relaxing evening walking and viewing the scenery.
I really don't like the term (my boss) so I'll say my supervisor. An I enjoyed the excise.
Absolutely Fantastic nothing in this
The Colts playground is amazing! It is definitely designed for bigger kids, but even my 2 year old had fun climbing and playing (with constant supervision from me). She can't wait until she's big enough to climb up to the large slide. The soft rubber ground helps to prevent injuries from small spills.
Nice View.. Peaceful... Kids
It is absolutely hands down the most beautiful place in the state. The view of downtown Indy is spectacular. It mirrors downtown in that almost anything you need is walking distance from work or home, including fine restaurants and museums, and the canal also provides for outdoor entertainment. Spectacular.
It was really beautiful and the monuments, art and gondolas were gorgeous
Amazingly clean wonderful to walk along peaceful quiet relaxing.
Beautiful! So many things to do!
Very beautiful, has some well shaded spots, water activities, hiking, open park, and more. Truly enjoyable place to visit.
Beautiful seenre, do recommend
If you go to the paddle boats make sure get there a hour before they close. They will not rent them after, unless you want a 5 dollar discount for your next visit.
Great place to walk/run/cycle in Indy. A few restaurants and lovely landscaping along the way, as well as a playground. Also, if you play Pokèmon GO, there are lots of stops, gyms, and spawns all along the canal.
Pretty cool place. Made me feel like i am in venice or something, with all the paddle boating and kayaking.
Lovely walk. Wish there were more shops. Worth the exploration.
Eh. No shopping; 1 restaurant. Just a walk. Some geese and boat rentals. It’s cute but most places like this have more businesses or restaurants.
Awesome place to take your dog, walk, run or bike. You can even stop at a few restaurants without leaving the canal.
So much fun. Authentic Venetian gondola ride with a beautiful Italian serenade.
Its clean and safe and there is a place to rent kayaks or paddle board to get out on the water
The Canal Walk is probably the best part of downtown Indy. It's great for going on a walk/run but I would avoid biking it in the afternoon as it gets too crowded.
Always great experiences on the canal! And playing Pokemon Go, you get to see or meet a bunch of people.
Great place for walkers, joggers, thinkers etc. You definitely need to go around the entire canal from the zoo area to 11th st. There are paddle boats, bicycles, gondolas and scooters (they aren't really permitted on the canal but that doesn't stop people from riding them). You can catch some live music by the Historical Society on Thursdays. Sunset Cinena on the canal is family friendly as well. After the sun has set you will definitely find some couples taking a stroll around the canal as well. Indy's hidden gem right on the west edge of Downtown.
My daughter loves to take walks
Always love going to the canal I recommend going at night as opposed to the daytime as there is less people and it's more beautiful in my opinion. Also I totally recommend gondola rides if you go during the day. They sing to you
Definitely a hidden gem of Indy. About a mile or 2 of uninterrupted walking and biking trail through the heart of Indy. It's very quiet with a couple of nice houses and bridges along the way. It's no Riverwalk like San Antonio because of the limited amount of restaurants and attractions on the Canal Walk, but still very nice!
i loved it.so peaceful its like you enter a new demotion in time I wish there were more SAFE PLACES like this had a blast walked with my besty
Beautiful. Visiting from louisville for work. Absolutley loved the canals.
Had a great night at canal with family. So beautiful and peaceful
I went with my family, love the kid’s park. The only reason I don’t give it a 5 is because the only restroom thy had was locked. But besides that is was a nice promenade with my family.
Good place to walk when your downtown and looking for something to do on a nice day.
Cool and serene place to walk or run through. Also a nice place to just sit and read a book. Walk through it everyday to and from work and it's lovely.
A great short trail. I enjoyed the color of the water a lot
Amazing place for morning and evening walk. There are few good restaurants are available near this canal. You can rent a boat here. Water is crystal clear. I love this place. One of the most beautiful places in Indianapolis. Bicycles are also available for rent.
Very calming to walk the canal at night its so quiet and peaceful
Peaceful! Love the atmosphere. Canal had perfect pathway to run, walk, ride bicycles. Nice benches along the way for picnics, and hammocks to relax. Theirs an awesome playground, by the School of radiology.
The view is so peaceful and spectacular! We ate at a restaurant along the walk, and stopped at the park. The elevator took us a minute to find, but thankfully it is wheelchair/stroller accessible
Great pathway for all kinds of activity - walking, running, cycling, paddle boating, etc. There are also gondola rides. We walked, played Pokémon Go, and had a great time!
Well maintained beautiful place for a serene and peaceful stroll, or even for chilling with a book in a quiet shades spot by the canal. You can even take a gondola and go down the canal with a gondolier singing Venetian songs.
Great place to play with our children
Nice quiet and can be very romantic. Lay out a blanket in the grass and have a nice quiet moment with my girl relaxing and watching others walk by.
Fun place! Lots of joggers n bikers though doing the exercise thing so keep your head up while walking.
Nice play are for kids! Glad the canal added this for kids! It was a long time since this space was not utilized!
Always beautiful here. Only dislike would be people constantly smoking marijuana to where it is an overwhelming smell. But I would highly recommend to go here during sunset. It is truly a magical view
Great place to relax or walk or even run. Reminded me of Venice
The canal walk is one of the best public spaces that Indy has to offer. One end of it connects to White River State Park which is very beautiful in the evenings. Canal walk has one of three Gondolas that can rented in the US during the summer. You can also bike, walk, rent electric scooters, paddle boats and family cycles. It's always lively during the evenings and the weekends. They have movies that they play during the summers and also have live concerts. Whether you are visiting or live in Indy, the Canal Walk is a must in the Things to Do list.
It was a beautiful day and I couldn't get over how stunning the waterways were. No idea that Indianapolis had this. Highly recommend taking a bike or scooter and making your way through it all!
Love the canel pretty to walk and explore
Fun place
The canal is by far the best place to go in Indianapolis when you just want to walk and get to fill the city and know how the city life is and get to know the people everyone's friendly everyone speaks to you they don't treat you like you're invisible nice little vintage they're selling food for the children just a lovely place to go and meet the people in friends
Very beautiful and clean park.
I love to walk on the canal its safe and beautiful
We walked around the beautiful Indianapolis Canal Walk "Route", which is up one side of the canal, and down the other, with your path crossing a beautiful man-made waterfall in the middle(at one end) there are canoes and paddle boats and sometimes, they have 2 big "gondola" type oversized canoes that you and whoever you are with can rent rides on. Places to eat and free access to playground equipment for the kids! Enjoy, I know I did!!!!
Late night canal walk in the pouring rain with the love of my life. Was amazing.
So beautiful and peaceful. Very quiet and serene, despite being in the heart of the city, with lots to do and see along the walk.
Our family had a great time walking on the canal.
Nice walking area during the day. Great place to step away from work and breathe with the smells of food in the air.
I wish parking was closer and clearer other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.
Very nice place to visit in Indy. Google maps took me around in circles though
Beautiful place to walk and enjoy your day stress free environment. No one bothers to when you're walking. It's safe to bring your family here during daytime and evening during the night I'm not sure cause I have never done it.
Nice walk, good to see people out enjoying the public spaces!
This was my first time trying the paddle boats and it was very hot, but definitely relaxing.
Pleasant walking area I'm the middle of the city. During the summer you can rent boats
Very nice place to take a walk downtown
This is to anybody that would ever come to Indianapolis Indiana you must really go to the canal TV either walk through it look at the sites if you go on a Thursday in the summer usually they have live music about Midway in the canal it is very special for a couple I think anybody and everybody that has done that down there walk the canal or even ride their bikes through the canal enjoyed it very very much because I know I do
The Canal is the best place to relax, take a short walk, or walk the whole thing. You can even rent a paddle-boat if you wanted, or a bike to ride around the Canal in. There are many side walks that connect to the Canal that lead a short ways to many different sources. Restaurants, museum's, parks and much more. If your a Pokemon player this is a great spot to interact. There are drinking stations along the way for water and restrooms
Very pretty downtown and lots to do! Find some shaded area and enjoy the day.
I run the canal quite often. The scenery is great and always well maintained!
Very nice for afternoon walk. Only complaint was a lady going after my family and I for talking to the ducks, and taking pictures on a bench!
Walked my so dog Sophie on the canal today now she's warn out. Good exercise for me and her... She is such a good girl
Wonderful place for Pokemon Go Community Days!!
Very calming area to enjoy a walk
I love that have a park for the kids at the canal now
Equipment the playgroud of 5 to 12 years old. Great and comfortable black top with a great Colts design. My daughter loves the slides.
Nice place for summer activities including kayaking or running. There are bike rentals at one end and boat rental towards the middle! Make sure to stop by Fresco and get some Italian ice!
