Here you will be able to see all the feddbacks of real people who purchased the services of Indiana Beach Camp Grounds (Park) near Indiana.
Right now this firm gets a score of 3.9 stars over 5 and this rating has been based on 335 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an opinions average is quite positive, and it is based on a large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the score is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to write evaluations when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Park belongs to the category of Amusement center.
The campground is nice, nice cabins and nice lots for camping. The splash pad is fun. Staff is hit and miss.. some nice, some not. Bathrooms need to be cleaned more often and for the love of St. Peter, please turn down the one temperature offered in the showers. It is SCALDING hot. Some positives: it appears that safety is a priority on rides across the street at the park. They have mechanics check the rides daily. Also, lots of things to do for the size of the park. Some negatives: loud obnoxious music from other patrons is not controlled and can continue for hours due to lack of enforcement by management. 11 pm is supposedly quiet time but again, no enforcement leads to loud music, large groups of obnoxious patrons and drunk people throwing up in the street. Nothing wholesome about this place. Loud cursing, by other guests, is prevalent everywhere and it's just as noisy as daytime. We will NOT be staying here again. Don't come here for tranquillity. . It does not have it. If you want loud, ridiculousness while camping, stay here! I do want to thank the people who were friendly and nice. The trolley driver comes to mind. Older man, floppy hat.. he is kind and informative. Older white hair woman in the main office is also very kind and informative.
Perhaps this place was awesome in it's day, but not during my visit. The one amenity that I looked forward to was horrible. The bathrooms were from another era and needed not only an upgrade but a complete remodel. I did not expect anything close to luxury but I felt a little skeevy both nights showering and dreaded going in. The grounds are clean but that would be all I could say. It felt like the owners and management just didn't/don't care about this place enough to make it more presentable. I'll just stop there.
Great place to camp
Stayed in the "Meadows" section for $40 a night. No fire pit and no other campers near us. I could have slept in my backyard for free and my family would have had more fun And the coffee shop had no croissants no juice and only 2 types of donuts to choose from neither my 2 kids liked so I couldn't even get my kids breakfast or juice. For the price we paid to stay here my kids should have been able to eat or drink whatever is offered but I guess hungry kids don't bother the staff at this campground. Never will return. Wish I could have got my money back
Loved it
Needs a lot of work its in bad shape.
It is very nice
I've been going here for 20+ years and now my grandson can continue the family tradition.
Had great time yesterday with family . park was clean an not crowded at all so we were able to ride instead of standing in lines half the time.
Clean, nice accommodations, and 50% off your passes for indiana beach.
Big sites, very clean. Tons of stuff to do close by
Awesome place,love it!
Nice campsites, trolleys are great
Great place for the family.
Nice and relaxing, clean bathrooms
Place is very neglected. There are several abandoned campers. Water had a very strong metal smell and doesn't come out clear is a brownish color. Bathrooms are old, dirty and falling apart. Very hard to take a shower when you gave to hold the button with one hand all the time so water would cone out. Didn't see any security while we were there. People were very loud even after quiet time. 3am and you could still cars and golf carts driving by making a lot of noise and with loud music.
Luv bn Here Weather is perfect
Great family oriented place! Lots for kids to do and the staff is very nice and helpful
They seem to be loosing they're help a lot earlier they didn't have enough to keep all the rides going. at the same time.
Has splash pad or mini waterpark for all campers included w lot rental and inground swimming pool for adults. Excellent idea for stuff to do. Ice and firewood avlble to purchase at general store near main office walking distance.
Fun camping and Great People to be around
This place is really ran down! Would not recommend going back again. Mold in showers, filthy restrooms. Not a friendly host. I should have taken pictures to post online. Just take my word for it. Not worth your time or money.
Very very expensive for just tent camping the only up side is all the amenities right there but they pack you in there like sardines and charge $60 a night for a 15x30 spot
Very nice campground with helpful staff.
There is a super strong sense of community in the area of the seasonal campers, it's nice to see people helping each other out just for the sake of it. Obviously the location to the lake and the amusement park is prime. They would get 5 stars if they did some updating.
Dont waste your time..
Great site! Starting to see more unruly adults staying and causing problems. Stay at home if you don't know how to act. This is a family resort
We rented 3 cabins, everything seemed good, old school camping up until the night. BED BUGS all over our cabin. Very disappointed! Definitely our families last time coming here.
This is the only place at Indiana Beach where you get exactly what you pay for. The staff here was lovely and helpful. Nothing like at the "resort" or the "park accomodations"
Great place to bring the kids OR to be a kid :D
The place looked amazing and all the rides were running. We had a great day trip and can't wait to again!!
great place the only the only t Thing that I did not like you was the water It was cannot tap water you smell too much
Clean place....Halloween time is the best!!! And cheap!!!
Wonderful place to have spring summer And fall fun use Water for washing only Bring own cooking and drinking water
Decent campsites. Close to Indiana beach. Trolly and ferry rides to the park and splash pad and mini golf out front.
My family and I had a great time while staying at this campground. It was nice and quiet. We had access to the swimming pool as well as a very nice spot to park the camper. My kids especially enjoyed being able to ride their bikes around the park safely.
Muddy
Pet friendly, the camp store is well stocked and staffed, the pools are perfect. This is not a campground for just camping it's for people who want to go to the park the sites are small but serve their purpose well.
Awesome! Not too crowded, went the first of the season. June.. Pool was sweet
It was a great experience for everyone including kids. It's a well managed camp ground with decent bathrooms and other facilities like an electric outlet. It's a great place to start as a first time camper so you get quite a good experience of camping and you don't get intimidated at the same time. Dogs are allowed here. It's like a gated campground and each camp site is nicely paced with others.
Place is awful!! Long termers out until 4am screaming and playing loud music. Called 'security" 5x and they never came down. It took me to walk over to them and say something. Bathrooms are disgusting! I would rather jumped in the lake with body wash and shampoo then to ever use those again! The pool/splash pad was only open after the "waterpark" at indiana beach closed. This will be put on my list of places to never camp at again!
Getting very pricey an run down we won't go back
Very noisy til midnight. If loud music is your thing, you'll love this place.
I loved camping there
Wish the showers could have better water pressure and be repaired. It's nice that they have a dj in the pavilion next to the camp store for a fun time on Friday and Saturday night
Loud campground-no quite time enforcement. Very Nasty restrooms. Employees were oblivious to issues and were poorly trained.
It's a very nice place for camping with family and friends.
Place was horrible when I first got there I had to remove tree branches that the place that works behind the campsite I was at known as the go-kart place was throwing tree branches in our site so I had to move them then wait at night loud people drunk running around making noise and people shine in Flash nights all night kept my kids and myself up
We went tent camping for the first time here, and overall, I was happy. The campsite was clean & well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. The ladies portion of bath house 2 was clean enough and didn't smell, but after I saw the rusty water in the toilets, I chose not to was my hair. Like any campi g experience, make sure you have shower shoes. My husband & son reported the men's side was disgusting, with black mold/mildew on the shower walls, and that it smelled awful. We would return, but we'd probably try to make accommodations at the KOA site first.
2 night stay Friday and Saturday. If you are looking to bring your family to this place for quiet and peaceful camping than this place is NOT for you. If you don’t have any respect for other people and want to be around unsavory people and you are looking for your hood away from The hood than this place is for you. Let’s start with cons. EXTREMELY Loud uncensored rap music played 6 am until 3 am. and I like Rap music but at respectful volume. Your kids will get an education in foul language. Too many golf carts with drunk kids behind the wheel driving around making it unsafe. Disrespectful adults and kids just walking through your campsite looking into your tent/ campers/ cars. Disrespectful kids everywhere saying N*** this and F*** this and more. What parent or human being allows that. Moving on... bath houses are old and nasty. Water looks and smells like it’s pumped straight from the sewer. Quiet hours start at 11:00 but not enforced. Security was there and driving around but that’s it. The ferry to the boardwalk was never available. The trolley was old and rickety. The onsite store way over priced. Walmart 10 minutes away FYI. Splash pad was actually closed one day. Let’s move to the Pros. Staff was friendly. Discounted tickets to the amusement park. Walking distance to amusement park. Yup that’s it for the pros. Happy camping.
Great place to visit and camp
Not much has changed since it was a Nascar campground. Sites are still muddy and you have to pay for the wifi. Expensive as well at over $50/night for full hook up. They do have a trolly that runs you to the gate, and a short ferry ride that takes you to the back entrance if you already have your tickets. New for 2017- buy your wristbands at the campground for $20 instead of paying full price at the gate.
Very expensive, half the bathrooms were broke, and to many golf carts.
Great family vacation place
Not bad, just loud like other people have reviewed. Blaring rap music while camping, not my idea of camping. Restrooms were nice for a campground.
I would rather go to the KOA next door. Usually we have gone here every year, but the ammeneties are lacking. The KOA next door will continue to add things, but I am not sure about this place. It's nice a quite for family camping, but that is about it. They have a small mini golf area and a spot for kids to run around and water slides. Most of this seems to be getting better, but there used to be times where everything was shutdown.
Random charges on credit card. Credit card stolen by campground
Cabins kinda suck, really close to everyone else. Beds suck.
The showers are push button, which can be frustrating, and the sinks barely run at the main bath house, which makes it difficult to wash hands and brush teeth.
Well it's 2am....2 calls to security for noise during "quiet hours" and the movie in the tent across is still going strong and across from us Is a full blown party. Nice campground site, but the quiet hours are a joke. Never been to a campsite that can't control noise better!!!!
Boring
Great place if you want to have a lot of neighbors also swimming pool.
many memories brought back, place on the rise
We stayed here one night, but I doubt I will do so again until there is significant work done to improve it. The office staff was pleasant and helpful. The site was a good size and flat and grassy, although some muddy holes need new soil and grass replaced. The trees provide good shade from the sun if you choose your site carefully, but there is no privacy shrubbery between adjacent sites. The electric outlets were in good working condition, with 4 20-amp slots so we could easily charge our electronic devices. One of the biggest problems was the water at the site was a pale brown color, and this was the case at all nearby sites and in the bathroom, so we had to buy bottled water for our needs. Another big issue was that the mini-golf course was completely closed, which we did not find out until we arrived. We had planned on using it, so we ended up spending another $25 at another place in town. Another issue was that the large trash bins were overflowing with garbage the entire time we were there, which was disgusting. The coffee shop that is also part of the site was also completely closed, which again we did not know until we arrived. Given the amount of poor upkeep and repair, I do not feel that this was worth the $40 spent, and I would not recommend this place until things are put again into good working order.
Great camping ground, tons of stuff to do, plus beach right there. People were phenomenal
A Safe & Greattttt Place To Camp Out With Family and friends
So nice clean place friendly workers
Plenty of trees for shade, power site is great with water and good facilities
Very nice and Clean!!!
Decent place
The water test like metal.
This place is really nice. The ladies in the office are extremely helpful and nice. Campground is clean and well maintained. Quiet hours are enforced. Bath house is very clean and everything works. Will come back.
Took son for 11 birthday. We love camping and he really enjoyed swimming every day.
Love this place, nice and family oriented
Didn't stay there, but drove through. Looks like lots of fun and cool sub cultures
In Florida came out Florida it was gear in Indiana and loved it ever since
the water smells and taste horrible, even if you shower..and i think they close in winters..
Great place our family had a blast at the amusement park, the food was good but kind of pricey. We stayed at the campground which was clean and very friendly staff. Whole time was very memorable
Everything is dirty. Roads are filled with potholes and puddles. Rv sites are muddy and have really long grass. Bathrooms are unbearable. Over 1000 sites and only 2 parks and 1 pool.
Nice campground. Full hook ups available.
Very disappointing the pictures on the website are much nicer than the actual Campground and Park the bathrooms are filthy the water is rust stained the pool was dirty the rides are old and some appear unsafe it is not a beach the Water of Lake Shafer is absolutely dirty the trolleys are old and smell of cigarette smoke the staff is unfriendly and unprofessional both campgrounds need many upgrades it's clear that they were probably nice at one time don't waste your time or money go somewhere else also the food at the amusement park is way overpriced we paid $9 for two churros soda is at least $4 a personal 5 inch pizza was $12 FYI
Horrible, noisy, uncontrollably loud, quiet time is supposed to be at 11pm and the party goes on and nobody does anything. It is golf cart galore, where the loudest, and fastest seemed to be the parade theme here. Highly disappointed and overpriced for such old and not well maintained facility.
We stayed 2 extra days had a blast can't wait to go back.
Always a great time!
Meh.
Started the IB experience around '93 and continued every year through the glory days until 2005ish Let's reflect... Clean bathhouse. (Toilets and showers) Regularly maintained Facilities and Mechanicals. Grass on campsites, Adequate paths, roadways, and signage. Superb outdoor activities as in lake life, fishing, kayaks, pickup football or volleyball games, bike rides, endless friendly adventures never permitted the phrase, "I'm bored". The park never had "downed attractions", or dirty rides, restaurants, water, etc.. From water thrill shows, to teen dancing, and boardwalk shenanigans, things were fun, safe, and most of all Entertaining for families of all walks of life. To shorten this saga...The facilities and grounds were cared for and improved feverishly to provide Family fun. Families planned, booked, packed, loved everything IB had to offer, and continued this year after year. I'll never forget helping parents plan meals and lists for the trips months in advance. Always looked forward to it. I've since had children, starting in '08. My wife (Same Tradition and memories throughout the years) and I along with other family decide we would carry this Annual tradition on for the next generation. Took us 3 years (skipping a yr. Or 2) after repeated miserable failed experiences year after year to decide we will never waste our time again. This is hard to Type as I reflect on Innocence, Puberty, Adolescence and the beyond to all the memories and life experiences that were made while adventuring on our IB Vacations. I truly want to believe something will change and avoid the reality that presents the hard truth year after failing year that Nobody with any real monetary interest, values, traditions, or Decision making authority will actually take any initiative to return this former Gold Mine memory maker back to its glory. How many Millions of dollars do you have to willfully deceive out of people's hard earned money to invoke investments proactively back into a family friendly fun place that generations paid for times over. The Framework, Infrastructure, clientele, memories, and Loyalty still encircle what we all remembered. Close this place down for a season or 2 and reestablish IB to the place in Indiana that people from across the country would travel to calendar after changing calendar because a few simple manageable principles used to exist in a business operations plan. I challenge current Owners to look, listen, and ask tough questions about the memories of what once was and the potential of what could be. Indiana is spending Alot of tax dollars to reimagine and reinvest into communities and businesses just like what IB offers Monticello, Lake Shafer, and other surrounding communities to flourish. People are busy, Families are struggling, Traditions are dying, Memories seldom made, and Summer after summer children are seemingly losing touch with what it truly means to "Go play" " Have Fun" " Be a kid" "Get Lost" "Be careful" "Check in" "Blow some stink off" "Dance in the Rain" and most important of All " Be Innovative" " Be a Problem Solver" "Figure it Out" "Be Observant" "Be Compassionate" "Be Friendly" "Be Unique" IB REBIRTH EST. 2023
We had a wonderful time! Plan on going back next week!!!
Camp sites acceptable, bathrooms and shower facilities aged, but clean. Friendly staff, but prices are ridiculous, if you plan on having a second tent, plan on spending an extra $15 per night for it. Anything from the camp store is going to be like $9 minimum as well.
Nice down to earth people. They give u plenty of room if they have it. Help with anything you ask. Very nice park. Had a great time.
Traditional small family amusement park fun!
Enjoyed our Memorial Day stay, except for being put in a sister site with people we didn't know. Got scared of bad weather and went home early. Got hit by the tornado, 2 hours after getting home.
Excellent Place To Go Camping And BBQ
Allways great times with the family im 53 and my parents started a annual camping trip so ive gone for most of them years
Run down, campground that don't enforce there rules.. campsites are so small and cramped in. There was a group across from me that had 28 people on 6 sites together all cramped up and playing there radio all night and day non stop .. Notice the pitcure i posted., My tent is right near the grill it barely fits..Go cart track across from my site was open till midnight, bright light shining in my tent.. Rude staff dont know what they're doing .. shower didnt work, no out of order sign..Picnic tables in bad shape ... Campers rude and disrespectful, being loud all night, golf carts going down the street all hours of the night, people cutting through my site, people wouldn't move out of the road while i was driving.. will never go back there again. . If you dont need to sleep then this is the place for you.
Peaceful. And people all around were friendly. And the kids had fun.
Quiet AF around fall, only lifers are present. Sad to see camping isn't what it was when I was younger, but it's still here.
would be a great place for the whole family
It was crowded but definitely worth it!
Great place.
Do NOT stay at the Summer Haven, definable Not a haven. No towels whatsoever, no shampoo, no necessities, and 1 sm USED bar of soap!!
Needs to be updated badly. Friendly staff but under manned. Free ride to amusement park and ferry ride also. Store is very expensive on site but Wal-Mart is 10 minutes away. Abes pizza is awesome in town. Highly recommended.
After Labor day so it was quiet . most things were shut down for the season.
Stayed this past weekend (8-5 thru 8-7-16), had site D42, full hook up with a travel trailer, ( I was honest about how many people I had staying with me and did pay the extra charges they assess such a tent on site fee, extra vehicle, and late check out but it was well worth it to me) was pleased with the location (very close to bath house) and had nice shade, also had some really great neighbors too directly across, other side neighbors were seasonal or permanent? They had a nice set up, but no complaints with them either. The bath house could have been better, (only real complaint) water in shower did not stay on very long at all and could have been cleaned a bit more but it was usable, also laundry facility available. There were a lot of tent campers there also but no complaints with any of them either as well as many permanent sites though out, we visited the boardwalk both days and were very happy with their improvements made at the park, now we were able to buy our ride bracelets through the campground office for a discounted rate of $18.99 each, I am guessing this is the cost most of the time but not sure on the holiday weekends? But this is a great savings to the $35.00 at the gate also can get free spectator bracelet through the campground office too as long as your staying there. Town of Moniticello is a short drive from campsite with full grocery store or Walmart and many other places to eat or shop, everyone in town I came in contact with were very pleasant and polite. No complaints about the staff there they were very nice as well. We did rent a jet ski and pontoon boat from the Lake Shafer boat rental, a bit pricey with charges for everything from lake enhancement fee to $26.00 for 3 hour rental of a inner tube..so do your research. It seems they have a lot of permanent campers there so it has to be an ok place to stay or so many would not stay there... Would go back and it was nice to revisit a place I had went to over 20 years ago and come back with more great memories. :)
Well, according to Kathy the worker we have to go to bed at midnight. This campground SUCKS!!!
Highly recommend this Campground have fun definitely will visit every summer
An Audi did I do at least twice a year I enjoy myself take hundreds of people with me I must do
Nice place to camp but don't expect your neighborhood of campers to go to sleep at 10pm the entire campground like to party till 2 or 4 am!
Great, but the rain is to much.
Great place to camp with kids. Its Hard to run out of things to do. Staff is friendly . we have came 10 times this year and will come back.
Bath house wasn't as clean as usual, no soap and Hand dryer didn't work. When we told someone they told us to use a different one that they had more than one. Other than that campsite was great!
Wonderful experience! And u don't have to be a camper! They have cottages and hotels.
Cleaned regularly, plenty of things to do, lot of different site types. If tents or trailers aren't your thing, they have cabins to rent as well. Depending on which campground you stay at, there are camp stores, playgrounds, a pool, a splash pad, miniature golf, a basketball court, arcade games, and for those looking for a little more thrills - the amusement park is a free trolley ride across the street from the campground (check the IB site for amusement park pricing). A couple of the activities aren't free, and a slight bit pricey for campgrounds, but there is plenty to do for a week and definitely for a weekend. Plenty of local things to do as well. Boat and jet ski rentals, drive-in with 2 screens (double features on both screens), bowling, a couple major retailers nearby to help you out with goods the camp stores may not have, and with a short drive, horseback riding.
Nice facility however the pool was down for most of the visit. Also the line in the amusement park for funnel cakes was long and lengthy due to being understaffed.
Nice and clean and people r very polite
Very nice love coming here all the time I'm going to get season pass
Big spaces. Friendly staff.
We were expecting to swim in pool or swim in filtered water area, but that didn't happen . It costs $28. a person to go over to the beach/amusement area.We don't do rides so didn't pay for that. CAMPING was so hot & no way to cool down. Dissapointed there was NO pool.
It's a nice place with kind people. Definitely would recommend.
A bit crowded at times but a very nice relaxing place to camp and very close to the amusement park with convenient travel systems.
We got to our site to find out there was not a 110 hook up for normal power. Maintenance was supposed to come check it out within 30 minutes. We went back and they offered a converter instead. Maintenance showed up and hour and a half after that and reminded us to be sure to keep our music at a level not to disturb others just as a courtesy. We followed these rules with no issue and now we sit here listening to a completely disruptive group of people yelling and cursing with nobody around to keep their levels down. I'm very displeased with what me and my family have to deal with to get a good nights sleep. Not the experience I expected or paid for.
Nice and clean
This was my kids 1st camp trip so we stayed in a cabin. It was a perfect size for my family and the restrooms we 're reAlly clean. I know that's a huge concern with my daughter's and wife
I came here back in the mid 80’s thru the mid 90’s and not much has changed. That would be a good thing considering I loved the 80’s, but I mean things really haven’t changed—as in they haven’t been kept up, updated, or maintained. That goes for the park and the campground. The campground: The golf course is worn down from the years of neglect and the surrounding pond is nasty looking with some sort of algae floating on top. The signage is the same. Most of it can’t be read because of the lack of maintenance. The park itself is a very pretty setting. You can not put up a clothesline per the rules of the campground, but it seems like they let the seasonal tenants do as they wish; building elaborate porches, erecting garden sheds, graveling their own lots, etc. The campsites are mostly dirt as the gravel has been worn down over the years. I paid for a deluxe site and it is a quagmire (minus the giggity) of mud and debris. Everything seems to be muddy or covered in dirt. The picnic tables are weathered and covered in moss. The bathrooms are disgusting. Walking by the row of toilets, each looks like they’ve been peed in and not flushed. Why? Because they use antiquated yellow fluorescent lights. The hand dryers in the bathhouse I used didn’t work. Literally the most modern thing I have seen is the automatic toilet flushers. The shower stalls are nothing short of disgusting. The bottom of the shower stalls are again showing more than their age. Missing tiles, tiny stalls, lack of hooks, and no heat or air conditioning. The worst part? A push button that provides you with 2 seconds of water to shower with. Some shower stalls have been rigged with zip ties to keep the water on for you, but is this really necessary? The water temp is set at a decent temperature for me, but that may not be everyone’s cup of tea. There is no adjustment. Quiet hours begin at 10...unless you’re a seasonal tenant. It seems they are free to do as they wish regarding the sites and the rules of the park do not pertain to them. Look at their website and see what they say about noise. Monday thru Thursday they have a roving patrol...our last night there was a Friday night and the noise level was worse than I have ever seen at any campground. Drunks, blaring music, yelling back and forth over corn hole game, rambunctious kids allowed to run amuck, etc etc. This, ladies and gentlemen, went on until about 5:30 am. Never once did I see the “security officer” make a round. Apparently he only works those aforementioned days. The amusement park: Same as above for condition. The rides are good, and in the off season we were able to walk right into every single ride we wanted to go on. A few were closed, but plenty were open. We bought season tickets and planned to come back for Halloween because we always take a trip for some epic Halloween adventure, but when we leave this time, I’ll likely say goodbye to Indiana Beach forever. We drove 700 miles from Tulsa to come here as I sang IB’s praises to my wife only to come away with a mediocre experience at best. The upstairs lounge was severely dated as the restaurant looks like a retired 70’s disco/strip club. The carpet was disgusting in the dining room. The bathrooms...I can’t even describe the odor in there but it must be from some sort of bacteria that has been allowed to run rampant. The food and service was good and moderately priced though. I am nothing if not intellectually honest. Summary Indiana Beach is a far cry from what it used to be and who knows if it will ever be restored back to its former glory. The years of use and neglect have taken their toll and it may just cost too much to repair what damage has been done to the parks and their reputation. For my money, next time I’ll try Holiday World. Just like there’s more than corn in Indiana, there’s also more than one campground/park.
Busy place. Grandkids had a ball
Love to camp,my visit there was great.
Great service, good donuts.
After going there for upteen years I can safely say this was my last year. The new owners have updated the rides yes but it's at the cost of those of us that don't ride any of the rides. You see if I have to pay full price for the day whether I'm riding the rides than I might as well go to a bigger park its only a few dollars more. They are not handicapped acceptable. My mother who can't walk will never be able to go there anymore, you see the gate you enter in at has such steep ramps it's almost impossible to go up and down them with wheelchairs/scooters. We won't be back.
Extremely awesome, great for the family.
Overall the stay was pleasant and we made great memories with our grandchildren. If reserving your own spots DO NOT ask for or select D020 or D021. We got a 20 minute rain while camping and we had a river running through our campsite that took a day and 1/2 to dry up. Our mats were floating in 8" of water. There was a higher spot of our site that we moved our chairs too which was good. We did have mature trees and good shade. If we camped in Montincello again we'd go to IB Crow next door. Much newer and nicer and had a very nice pool. We could use that pool for free cause our campground pool was shutdown. Camp store was very nice with a lovely worker there, Betty.
Super inexpensive and clean
It's definitely changed over the years a used to be better since all the trails have been closed things are hidden hot water than a shower sucks they overprice everything
Probably would have loved this campground but when we were there, some of the campsites were so close that anything but the outside spot was extremely crowded. There also happened to be a family reunion in the convention center area near the restrooms that the front of the campground (which we happened to be right next to), while the reunion was going on the family began to fight to the point where you could hear the f-word being thrown around at least 20+ times which could be heard across the whole campground... and yet even though this went on for more than 20-30 minutes no security showed up and nobody bothered to try to stop it. Thr bathroom stalls are also way too high so if someone goes to check under the stall to see if there is anyone in it they immediately see someone butt. The only thing we liked was that the lady at the minigolf station was pretty friendly and that it was close the amusement park.
Other than people not following the quite hour rules and speed limit it's a great place. The showers are hot but you have to continue to hold a button to keep water on which is very aggravating. The campsite numbers are hard to see in the dark.
Campground at ib crow was clean with nice shade. Had a trolley to take to Indiana Beach. But had absolutely no control over the people in the campground. Was no quiet hours and security didn't roam this campground to help enforce any rules. First night of camping couldn't get ahold of security. The second night did get ahold of them but the enforcement was a joke. There was so much fighting, drunk people and total lack of respect for others. Literally got only a few hours sleep total for the two nights we were there. After reading other reviews, realize now this is a common thing. So if you want a peaceful night I would strongly recommend not staying here. I definitely won't be going back again.
Surprise NO BEACH! It's a descent trip, anyway
Was ok not very private. The campground was nice and clean.
To high price now
Went on labor day weekend. Campground did not seem to be prepared for the amount of people. Bathrooms by front gate were disgusting. Quite hours are supposed to start at midnight but people are so rude and inconsiderate with the amount of noise. Golf carts, cars, and motorcycles driving all through the night. Campground officials made little effort to enforce quite hours. To come to think about it, I would give this campground five stars of it weren't for the disrespectful people they let in.
When a person spends 59$ a nite to camp they expect some peaceful and relaxing times...but there were about 25 ppl from Ohio that would not keep there music down until the curfew was on.. really disrespectful... almost started fights between campers.. should of left and demanded my money back..but then I would of been called a racist...
My kids had a blast...just wish the bathrooms would get cleaned more often
Camping was fun, we rented a cabin and had a great time
Camp grounds nice lil. Get away Bathrooms need to be kept up for sure especially bathrooms by game room . Very dirty . No toilet paper and bathroom toilet wasnt flushing..camp store very expensive 2.19 a bottle for 16 oz pepsi. Small bag of ice 3.00 Walmart not to far away so that's good. Charge you 5.00 for extra car an 9.00 per adultjust to visit . All in all camp ground was nice no sewer bring your own in some areas for your camper .
Have tried for the past 3 weeks to cancel my reservation. Between an email and multiple phone calls, lost paperwork, and assurance my refund would be completed within 24 hours, I still have not received it. Communication and efficacy has been very disappointing. Multiple phone calls between operators and managers have drawn the process out. The overall shadiness of the business has made me happy and relieved we were unable to stay, and sad for others who might fall victim.
It was cool
Staff were friendly. Besides the dirty showers and potholes everywhere, we had a good 5 days. Camped in back close to the seasonal rv's so it was pretty quiet.
We drove on the property security looked at us, and walked away from us... instead of welcoming us or asking us if we need anything.....!!!!!!
Great place
Fun and excitement for the entire family
