We offer you the feddbacks of people who purchased the products and services of Central Park (Park) near Indiana.
Currently the firm receives a score of 4.6 over 5 and that score has been calculated on 447 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is basically the top, and it's founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the evaluation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set reviews when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Park is classified in the category of Community center.
Took my autistic non verbal kid the water park yesterday, during the 15 minutes break, my son was at the slide when they announced that everyone should be out of the pool. Guard yield at him and let him get down, had trouble to follow direction as normal kid , he started to be aggressive toward the guard. Kept explaining that he has Autism and he needs more time to comply with the instruction but he did not understand. Brought a team lead an explain that he did not know that my son has autism. people with disabilities live among the community and guard/ staff need to be aware of that and be trained on how to treat them with respect.
Carmel has a great community center. Lap pool for the adults, a big pool for kids with a beach like entry; even two water slides. Basketball, racquetball, jogging track, exercise equipment/weights. Nothing is left out. Outside they have a really good playground, and impressive splash park to cool off in the summer. Lots of classes and group activities. Really a great facility to take advantage of. It's extra nice since the renovations are complete.
It is fun but the people aren't
Great Gym and facilities, great outdoor pool, BUT... Getting more and more overcrowded year after year to the extent you can’t enjoy these things. Please expand or open additional locations. Nice job not escalating prices to address overcrowding though!
If you're a runner, you MUST log a few miles in Central Park. On my most recent visit, I visited many spots in the park while logging 11 miles. Alice in Wonderland and the Ramble were my favorites. Put on your sneakers and try very little to follow a map. Just enjoy getting lost in the park.
Central Park is all it looks like. It is September, so the trees are still green. I love how quiet it is inside the walls. We went to the children's play area. Here is a photo of the fountain inside.
The Great New York Escape! Amazing place in the heart of New York. We rented bikes and took a leisurely 2 hours to explore this gem. There is something for everyone in this park
A huge, gorgeous park, and we probably saw less than 1% of it. If it hadn't been so hot, we would have had more spirit to walk around ;) We did hang out by Turtle Pond though and it was well worth it! So adorable! And what a peaceful, calming spot that was. Definitely recommend checking it out :)
This is one of my favorite places in New York! My children and I often spend time in the Central Park. This place is so beautiful and peaceful! I can relax from city life and enjoy being there. My daughters love to play here. We always to walk and to have a picnic here. Central Park is great place to spend time with family.
How can you rate Central Park anything less than 5 Stars?! Always wanted to see the place after the sitcom “Friends”. First time I saw a squirrel in my life, and had a hot pretzel in the park with some mustard from a local stand. Bike / drive tour probably not the best way to see it...but got sucked in as a bit of a tourist first time going there. All part of the experience.
Awesome desk staff!
I want to rate it less stars so maybe the gym wouldn't be so busy but this place is great! The park = awesome. The childcare facility = awesome. The lessons my kids have taken = great for young kids starting out without making a huge commitment. The gym and classes = great!
Central Park is amazing! I got to watch a scene from an episode of Madam Secretary being filmed. I also watched as a movie was being made...i just don't know what the move is called
Great community center!!! Nice facility, friendly staff.
Just gotta say, one of the most biggest and best known parks of all. If you haven’t been here yet, I the park lives up to the expectations. It’s a great park to bike, hang out, play around, and spend time with family. It may be hard to park because it is NYC, but with the BEST luck, you may have a great time at the central of NYC!
Excellent place to exercise and unwind. It is very family oriented and the kids enjoy going.
Very nice facilities, excellent staff
It used be a great Aqua park, (2015) but this season is crowded and full with mostly non local residents, predominately African- Americans. I have concerns about the park crowds and in the future I won't be visiting.
Good place to walk and bike. Good resutrant around this place.
Central park offers so many things to do. You can ride bike, run or just walk around or do boat riding. Literary walk is so fun and full of liveliness. People dancing, music and few shop s too.terrace Bethesda is nice to walk around.
This place is so peaceful and joyful. One can just relax here and forget about the tensions of the world. Nice landscapes to walk and sit down to have a picnic. This place is a must if you are coming to New York. Will treasure good memories here. Few places to receive 5 star rating from me
A great place to hang out in, exercise or go for a walk. Much safer than it's reputation by do remain alert and aware of your surrender.
There is so much to do there I don't know where to start. Very quiet place, however busy with lots of people jogging. It has some hidden spots and gems. Highly recommended
My favorite place to workout first rate equipment and the staff is the same
best amenities and top notch swimming program
Absolutely best community center. Great gyms, awesome water park, and outdoor park. Best part though is their staff. The staff is really friendly and helpful.
Always a great spot to visit when in NYC. Plenty of greenery and nature. Good for individuals, groups, couples and families. Enough stimulation and also peace within the city. Running trail by the river.
One of the biggest selling points for Carmel! It has something for everyone. The place is very well kept and very accessible. The classes for kids as great and very affordable. If you live in Carmel you need a membership here.
My kids love this place and the staff is great!
It's central park, do you really need a description? It's a park to experience for yourself not read about. There is a pittke of everything and everyone at central park. You'll come across a variety of people there. You can ride bikes through central park, exercise there and even have a picnic. If you're in a date then a romantic ride in a horse carriage will definitely score you some points, you'll thank me later. Like I said a little of everything...
Always busy with cars ,bikes , carriages depending where you are but welcome relief from sun and streets. Ponds , boat hire and statues and pathways. Pleasant route through to galleries or hire a bike and cycle round . It is a fair size so checkout rest rooms, eateries etc before you set off. A fabulous big city amenity.
Great for birthdays
Great place to workout.
What I saw of Central Park was surprisingly beautiful, definitely not what I expected I would see. I thought it would be dank and dirty, but it was actually well kept area with flowering gardens and beautiful architecture, granted it did rain the day we went, but it was still beautiful. It had numerous play/park areas for the children. Fountains, paved walkways, various statues and public bathrooms. I would definitely recommend visiting Central Park.
It was the best community center I've ever been
We spent half a day in the park, mostly just walking around through the points of interest but also sampling some food and just sitting down randomly for a chat. We also took a short horse carriage ride, which too was quite interesting. The place was not crowded when we were there and it felt nice to have the calm and quiet.
Quality is going downhill, especially in fitness center. Already the most useful entrances are blocked, requiring users to move from any point to a single entrance. Recently, one of the staff members was very incompetent. A cranky old man was already harassing the gym-goers, and complained I was hogging the assisted dips/pull-ups machine. I was on a finishing set after doing 3 before of a simple leg exercise, shown to me by a trainer. I walked away after each set, allowing others to take a set of their own if desired. The staff member proceeded to tell me I was not allowed to do that, for whatever reason. The cranky old man then took the machine and I was left flabbergasted that a employee of a fitness center would not allow me to complete my exercises and had no knowledge of this exercise.
If you are in New York for any reason and have some time, you should definitely come to Central Park if the weather is nice enough to enjoy it. We walked all the way through the park and saw pretty much all of what it has to offer - such an incredible space in the centre of such a city. There are other parks in other cities, but none so impressive as this (that I have seen anyway!)
LOVE THIS PLACE! THANK YOU CARMEL!
What a beautiful park. This was my first time here and I loved it. There's just so much to do and see. I'll definitely be returning when I come back to New York.
Workout here everyday. Love the track and weight room
The flowers garden in Central park is my favorite. Every year I try to go when the flowers are blooming. What a work of art. May God be blessed in His creation and also in all who used their talent to make that place so attractive and beautiful. Thank you all.
Central Park is a luxurious green island in the middle of a big city. Sometimes I come here to relax. This place is popular and there are always a lot of people here. But there is enough space for everyone. Great park.
I mean come ON gorgeous!! We took a picnic, found and bench, and enjoyed the shade for a couple hours. Walking trails were clean and well kept. Even met a volunteer that showed us the whisper bench so that was cool. Getting to see all the famous movie locations was great but also finding little walking trails and hearing live violin while chilling was even better. I could have stayed all day and explored.
Can't believe they raise the price of membership again to pay for all these unneeded useless unimprovements. The only people who benefit from this are the contractors and perhaps the managers got their cut too.
Really nice park, many interesting features and great for all ages. Particularly liked the squirrels and birds. Spent about 3 hours there but would need at least a whole day to get round everything. Highly recommended for a visit.
Great workout facility located right on the Monon Trail
Kinda pricey, and the parking is all FAR from the entrance, but the facility is lovely
Love it here! The group classes are my favorite.
Wow this is the place which makes up for all tree less area in whole of new york..you have to go there to believe and walk around or jog or cycle. There are cycle rentals everywhere, probably better to use them if you are interested in completing the park. You can walk as well but it will easily take 4-5hours in leisurely walk. Don't miss out the boating in one of the lake, and the turtle pond. Very well maintained by authorities, you have separate cycling and jogging tracks. There are couple of museums around the corners those needs a full day as well
Beautiful nature in this he heart of big city and lovely atmosphere. Over there you feel so calm and stopped hustling. People usually running jogging an just resting here
Very nice facility.
I work here. It's pretty nice
Monon trail is great to ride my bike when going to the mormon temple.
Very nice facilities with indoor/outdoor pools, lots of exercise equipment, classes, basketball ball courts and more. My particular favorite is the indoor running track. It's so much nicer in bad weather than a treadmill. However, there are a decent number of people who don't follow the track rules and that can be frustrating at times. That's mostly not a ding on the facility, but they could have staff periodically check and educate errant individuals. Also, as a non Carmel resident (Westfield), I was sad to see the indoor track is no longer free for everyone (as of 1/1/2018), but I understand the crowds have risen significantly and the track is still worth paying a reasonable membership fee.
Best gym in Carmel affordable clean and Great waterpark.
We bought a day pass here has we were staying in a nearby hotel and my son wanted to play in the water. It was a great time however he was too short to go down the slides. If we lived closer we would buy season passes.
Love this place my daughter goes to their ballerina program. It’s next to Monon trail that you can walk in minutes. Also their second floor have a walking path open to the public. Their swimming pool is very nice, lanes area pretty cold but where the slides and kids section pretty warm. Summer time their outdoor splash park is very jammed it has infinity surf area. Definitely our kids love to visit this place.
When you start to think you’ve seen all of Central Park, more seems to pop up. You can go to parts where it’s completely silent and others where you feel integrated with the city. One of my all time favorites!
Nice clean rec center. Great size. Has everything you want.
Amazing place. Love everything about this 2.5 mi long, 0.5 mile wide park in the middle of New York City. Something for most. Enjoy biking, hiking, jogging, riding in a horse drawn carriage or sitting on a bench. Enjoy shows, the castle and turtles sunning on the rocks.
Fantastic facility and indoor walking/running track
Peace amongst the chaos of NYC. A peaceful stroll in the park is absolutely refreshing. I took so many pictures in the park. Plenty of refreshments around, park is very maintained, very clean and serene.
many interesting features and great for all ages. Particularly liked the squirrels and birds. Spent about 3 hours there but would need at least a whole day to get round everything. Highly recommended for a visit.
Great place to people watch. There is always something going on in different areas of the park--street dancers, musicians, painters, etc. , a side front the normal park stuff. There is something for everyone. There is even a children's zoo. You can take a horse and buggy ride if you are feeling romantic. Must visit Bethesta Fountain. It's a favorite photo stop. Take a stroll or run around the lake, or just sit on a bench and relax in this peaceful setting. Have a picnic or enjoy a lovely lunch at the Famous Tavern on the Green. Overall a great place to spend a day outdoors.
The East Meadow, near the E. 96th St. entrance, is a mellow, lovely picnic spot. It has the openness of the Sheep Meadow or the Great Lawn without the hoards of people. Just right for a late summer afternoon.
Amazing and clean park! We are visiting from Sweden and had a picnic at Sheep Meadows. The park was crowded with friendly people with the same idea. No visit to NYC is complete without a picnic in Central Park. Such a wonderful experience! Thank you New Yorkers for being so friendly and open to foreigners!
Very nice. Upscale exercise/community center, with meeting rooms, a pool, an indoor track, indoor gyms, outdoor pool, nature areas, outdoor skateboard area, etc.
Just lovable.
This place is amazingly beautiful! I understand why it's in so many movies. The background is so pretty. Love the weather as well. I come from a place where it's so hot you can't stay outside unless you're in water for very long. I will come back a definitely come back here.
Who doesn’t love a park? Growing up in Spanish Harlem this was my back yard. The pool the ice rink the cool hill on 103 that turned a thrilling death defying sled run. The fields the fountain the zoo the bordering museums the surrounding architecture. Took my son to do the 5 boro bike tour he said the park was one of his highlights
A comprehensive community center with workout, physical training facilities , pool and water park, classes.
One of the spots in our world that every real estate sharks would be happy to get a piece of. But they wont make it. It is the heart of NYC, and I cant even imagine NYC without it. SO many things to do here. You can easily spend a day here. There is also a small zoo that kind of cool. Any season has its on magic and central park is a great place to see it.
ABSOLUTELY amazing! Soooooooo much nicer than I expected. Had a great time riding in a bike carriage. It's worth the money because it is a huge Park!
I really enjoy working out here, and can always find something to do - even if it is crowded. I am very happy with the new fitness class schedule for this season, as it has more class options in the evenings! Really excited about there being multiple barre classes now! One down side is that when it is crowded, there isn't much space to do free weights or any routine you may want to do. It would be great if you could access the classrooms that aren't being used at that time, if you like to create your own workouts that might require a little more space.
A must do when in Manhattan! We strolled through the park on our way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Then, returned again to enjoy some park musicians and artists. There are so many things to do. You can just walk as we did, you can eat at the park restaurant, you can rent a remote driven sailboat or row a real live boat in the lake. We enjoyed the park statues and sculptures. It was summer, so it got a bit hot during the mid day. My recommendation is that you visit in the early morning or early evening in the summertime. I have also been to Central Park in the fall. This is my favorite season to visit. The trees are so beautiful. It is hard to believe that you are in the middle of a city! I would not recommend going to the park at night since it is not safe then. During the day, I felt very safe.
Went to have a picnic in Central Park NYC. It was a friend's bucket list item. We live in NJ about 1 hour from the city limits. It took over 1 1/2 hours for us to get from the tunnel to Central Park! Once we parked in a garage ( $65.00 ) we walked to the park which was only 1 block away. It was of course crowded but, right when we entered we could see all the life activities going on. We spread our blanket under a tree near a Jazz group playing great music. We could hear other music playing throughout the park. Our little spot actually felt private. We had an amazing picnic. We finished the picnic and walked through the park some. So many activities and mini parks within the park. The park was clean and extremely enjoyable. You will always see and find something interesting in Central Park...... definitely worth the trip and expense.
If you haven’t been here yet, I the park lives up to the expectations. It’s a great park to bike, hang out, play around, and spend time with family. It may be hard to park because it is NYC, but with the BEST luck, you may have a great time at the central of NYC!
What a wonderful place! Wish we had time to see more of it. Cool vendor areas, everything so well maintained, so many people out with pets, nice areas to stretch out, areas for a leisurely stroll, and others could still do real exercise. It was even just great people watching.
A national treasure. This place has it all for the entire family. Tranquil walking and biking trails for Mom and Dad. Petting zoos and amusement parks for the kids. Climbing and skateboarding for the young folks. Benches and ponds for the not so young people. So if you are not doing nothing and are in the area, come by and sit a spell. You won't regret it!
One of the most iconic parks in the world. It is incredible! Where tourist and local collide. It is absolutely huge with nooks and crannies for a variety of outdoor activities. It was designed by Frederick Olmsted and it still holds the history from much of it's original design. There are lakes, paths, bridges, knolls, rocks, fountains, trees, flowers, statues, memorials, and bike routes. Those are just the permanent fixtures. On any given day they have events and stages and people performing or selling things. The park has many hidden gems and it would take days to explore the whole thing. There are playgrounds for kids and boats to rent. There are soccer fields and baseball diamonds and ice skating rinks in season. So many movies have been filmed in the park which have turned certain bridges and fountains in to monuments of cinematic history as well.
Amazing place everyone should visit at least once in lifetime! Although there are so many unique areas in the park you'd never see in one visit. It is meticulously maintained and the spring flower plantings are beautiful. Also a great place to sled in winter! Fishing, birding, biking Central Park has it all!
Great place. We go a lot. Water park is very nice but lots of people come in from all over, which can crowd the park quite a bit at times. Indoor facility is excellent. Weight room is good but only two free weight bench presses that seem to …
Yoga classes are good. Smaller weight room than I would like though. Overall very nice.
Love this place. The rental facilities are affordable and it is the absolute best place to have a low maintenance birthday party. Almost every child loves water! They have age appropriate water activities from 4 months to 99 years.
Walking through Central Park is literally a breath of fresh air in the city. If it's your first time I would trimmed walking as opposed to riding a bike that way you'll be able go everywhere with much less hassle and at your own leisure.
Water park is way over crowded but inside facilities are great
This is a very nice gym! Great facilities and staff.
People living in a city like NYC need this. A green lung. Rent a bike, walk or if you have to; rent a carriage with a horse. But if in NYC you should really spend a few hours in Central Park. It's good for your mental health. And your kids and/or spouse can run around freely.
Central Park is huge and a lovely retreat in the city. I think it would benefit if they would clearly mark the trails so you can find things easier. I suppose after awhile the locals learn it, but for visitors it can be a bit confusing.
I grew up in NYC and always loved the park. As a teenager I went to concerts of Motown bands, the Zoo, paddle boats on the lakes or just picnic on the Great lawn. So much to do there. Never boring!! And so beautiful.
Gr8 place for friends and family fun day out. .. sun bath. Play date, picnic, bike walk run .. 1 of the best picnic spot
Great place to go with a well rounded selection of activities and workout equipment. The lap pool is great. The indoor track is fantastic for the winter. I would give it 5 stars if they upgraded their spin bikes. They are very outdated and don't work properly so it makes it difficult to train on them. Plus there are only 4.
BEST PLACE EVER!!! Everyone is super nice and it is an inviting place to work out!
Wow did not realise how massive Central Park is! We bought fries and ice cream and walked around, exploring as much of Central Park as one could in a day. Lovely experience! Great if you wish to connect with nature in this concrete jungle.
Good indoor track and water park. Really good place to go to have fun or if you just want to get a really good workout also has good summer things
We enjoyed our morning jogs while we were here. As well as the stroll with the dogs. But why do I get the feeling that someone is going to come running outta the bushes wielding a machete. It amazes me at the amount of people that come here to either see the birds, jog, or just take photos.
Very friendly employees they nake my day everytime i go air conditioning is great its kinda small but a perfect size
Great place to exercise and build community.
I'm from California, so seeing NY's Central Park for the first time felt surreal. I didn't realize how big it was. I was only able to walk around for about an hour or less, so you can imagine how how little of the park I was able to see. It was fairly busy when I went, but that was expected. I can't wait to go to NY again and see more of Central Park and the rest of that amazing city.
Best lap swimming environment on the north side of Indianapolis, Hamilton County & Zionsville. Great for walkers on 1/8 mile indoor rubber track. Two indoor basketball gyms. Not to mention an Olympic size out door pool during the summer. It one of the finest utilities for just about any activity that requires running, walking or lifting for weight workouts. I doubt there is any other facility like it in the state. Very well managed. Clean showers as well.
If you've never been to Central Park, then you have something to strive for. Everyone should experience the park at least once in their lifetime. For the rest of us fortunate visitors, we know that it's truly an amazing place. It's just flat out filled with interesting things to see and experience. I guarantee you will remember your first trip there forever, but you'll love and enjoy every trip that follows equally well. Enjoy this fabulous piece of Americana...
Friendly for the most part. Great price for all amenities.
Awesome People along with Awesome Facility
Great park and gym!
Great place and amazing views! Love the flora and fauna of this park. Plenty of space for everybody even on the most crowded days. A must visit.
How beautiful and serene, even on a rainy afternoon. We enjoyed our walk through areas of the park...viewing large rocks, a lake, the closed carousel on Labor day, which was a disappointment. We will return another time.
What a wonderful community center. There are always classes going on or different things to do. It has a great workout gym and some really nice pools.
Great place to walk round in the sun, on a trip to NYC. It's a large park. There's a zoo, a lake and lovely lawns and trees. Memorial to John Lennon, pictured below. Lots of people about. You can just sit on the benches and people watch.
One of the best of New York. We had a great weather so we enjoyed the sunny day. We chose to walk so we experienced just the southern part of the park. If you choose to rent a bike, don't forget to ask for discount. Google maps works great inside the park.
This place is pretty awesome. They have all of the amenities that you would need. Basketball courts, a large weight room, a track, many cardio machines, classes offered all the time, two water parks, child care, a pool and they even have plenty of events to go to, and much more. The place is kept up very well and is very clean. Good value for your money.
It is a grate place it is cheep to get in I love to go work out see friends and play basketball it is also a grate place to chill meat up with people I presently got a monthly pass and I will be going there often
The best place on earth. Good people, food, animals and events every day. And beautiful, like the country smack in the city. And my Mama was born not far from here.
Peaceful, pleasant and relaxing, take a stroll, sit on a bench and watch people. Loved it. Take a side trip to the zoo, especially if you have kiddies, they'll love it.
Nice water park, stopped for a few hours on a road trip with the the kids. Very clean, very busy but very enjoyable. And at about 10 dollars a person, it was well worth it.
Not optimal for weight training. Space is tight and equipment is limited and somewhat dated. Many novices with no sense of gym etiquette or basic knowledge--rife for injuries. Equipment frequently not replaced. Administrative staff virtually non-reponsive to customer issues.
Fabulous park but it's huge! Highly recommend hiring bikes so you can see the full park, on hot days you would need at least three hours to get around so you have plenty of time for water breaks. Nice boating lake and if your a movie buff there's plenty of spots to try recognize movies from.
Absolutely loved it. Perfect park. Great place to make great memories. Its a must go to places in NY.
Absolutely stunning place. For a foreigner from the English countryside to see it, it's weird an amazing to see skyscrapers towering above you. Loads of locals use the park as a gym for running. Police also patrol the park in cars. It appears that on most weekends there's an event taking place in the park. During the day it's always full of life.
Great facility to help one to enjoy good health.
I was recently visiting Indianapolis for a meeting and was looking for a place to play Pickle-ball. I found the Monon Community Center via Google search and I have to say it was a great experience. The Monon center is amazing and the Pickle-ball players were very welcoming and helpful. They have a $5 drop-in and play fee which was very reasonable for a day of Pickle-ball. This was by far the nicest Community Center I have ever seen and would highly recommend it if you are in Carmel, Indiana.
No need for a detailed review. The park is beautiful as was the weather when we visited. Wonder why other US cities could not include a park like this in order to give people a respite from the concrete jungle.
Top class park to go to! It's very fun to go to especially if you're off for the Weekend. The zoo may be a little whack but overall, it's great for workouts, running or sports in the Meadow of the West side of Central Park! And it makes you feel more adventurous as well! :)
It's a park. While it's a nice break from the steel and cement of the city, it's very crowded. There's a number of very good buskers as well as some not so good. There's a lot to see around the park. For tourists, I recommend a half hour or so stroll in the park and see some of the sites ringing the park. If you live there, well, you probably aren't reading this anyway.
Really fun! They constantly have swim lessons during open swim which is frustrating. It's okay though. Also always crowded
Great workout and more but has always just a step away from the 5 star facility it could be. - Upgrades at the Monon! Getting better every day.
The jewel of NYC. A wonderful reprieve from the busy city that lays just beyond the walls. Great playgrounds, lakes, even boats to rent. So many events and things to see any day of the year. And best of all is that it's free and always open and TREMENDOUS in size. Go explore and find a NYC you didn't know existed!
It's really huge. Obviously. I went there last night for a Musical concert. Real fun. Made some new friends.
For the entire family membership is money well spent. Contributing to the local community is important to us as well
This is one of the greatest places in Manhattan I love just going in and getting lost within the massive park although I do find it a bit annoying that now everything about the park is now taken over by bicycles and people exercising making it difficult for someone to just go and take pictures but if you can avoid and ignore them you'll be fine.
It's an amazing place. In every season of the year it offers different but equally beautiful scenarios. It's a very big park to explore. It has a lot of touristic points inside it, like the F.R.I.E.N.D.S fountain, a lot of spots from the show Gossip Girl, etc. I recommend to visit with time so you don't have to rush and will be able to appreciate the park properly.
Beautiful place to visit. So much nature in the middle of the city. Everything is very clean and neat. At some places in the park you can't see the city at all. Very nice, highly recommended!
Great place, but very busy after 5:00pm.
Great place to walk around and take an adventure. Tons of places and things to see. Lots of movies have filmed inside the park including Home Alone 2, When Harry Met Sally, and John Wick. Do yourself a favor and check it out while visiting New York. Plus, vehicles are usually not allowed in so walking or biking in the park is great.
Cool park full of green landscapes in the summer time. Easy to get lost on the many paths. Many nice things to see and lots of places to rest in the shade.
In the heart of Manhattan, it is considered the lung of the city. and is a important part of the New Yorker's life, they have several institutions where citizens participate in the care of the park. The best way to know it, if you do not reside in the city, is by renting a bicycle. We recommend a ride of at least 4 hours to discover part of its lakes, fountains, amphitheaters, swimming pools, zoo and especially its beautiful vegetation. In this place, many series and movies have been filmed park. A most see in NYC.
A big big park. Doesn't really look much like in the movies. If you walk around a bit on Saturday, you will definitely see some people proposing to each other and other people cheering with balloons and stuff. Bizarre.
Central park is an amazing place, very green and atmospheric. I like this place because you may escape from NYC hectic life and spend some time on nature. It is nice that you can rent a bike here and have a ride. You will enjoy the time spent in this place❤
I simply love going on walks around Central Park every time I visit NYC. I like that there are plenty of trails and that there is always something going on in the park. Despite this, it is SUPER easy to get lost in the park even with google maps turned on so I feel signage could definitely be improved on, especially if you are heading towards the John Lennon memorial or the Central Park Zoo.
What can you say... It's one of the iconic places in New York and when you stroll around, you get why. The park is huge, very clean, full of trees and wildlife like squirrels and ducks and birds. The central reservoir is small lake-size and is wonderful to look at with the tall skyscrapers in the background (looking east, west or south towards central Manhattan). Most pleasant and soothing!
Lot of amenities, everything is well maintained. Very friendly staff and a lot of reward for your membership fees. Highly recommended!
What's not to love? A great way to spend the day with your family and friends.
I really liked walking around on the different paths
Best basketball courts in the area. Nice facility.
Love the pool, track and many amazing classes.
A lot of fun!!!
Okay swimming space today12/03/17, but watch for these black ladies with tons of kids, they steal towels. The only ones to leave and now my towels missing. My poor baby and I had no towels
Maybe the most beautiful park in the world. It is amazing and you need many hours to explore the basic sights. Kids will definitely love it. There is a big artificial lake, a castle and numerous paths to go bike ridding or jogging. They organize many events and of course you can go for a picnic. Top attraction of NYC.
Great gym and lifestyle center for families. Reasonable membership fees and no long term contracts.
This is a beautiful place! It is so different than what I expected. The paths are well maintained as are the grassy are. You could wander thru the park all day and there would probably be some areas you didn't see. It is one of those places where you will see something new every time you go! There are wooded areas, large boulders (some are very large) and many other beautiful places in the park.
My favorite thing is the flowrider this summer will be my 3rd year and I can't wait
I've been here many times. The staff is super friendly, especially when we've had a problem with a specific game. The game selection is quite large and the food is a higher level of bar food and other options. We feel like we get a fair amount of tickets to get a prize that is actually worth it. We stopped doing to Chucky Cheese due to bad game selection and terrible prizes. They now have a Jurassic Park VR that is a lot of fun. It takes a special ticket though that costs $5. It's worth it.
I always love visiting Central Park. It's beautiful at every time of time year and is so big you can lose yourself there and forget the city. It also has many different areas so you can always find a quiet spot.
It’s iconic sure, but the amount of people and the disruptive street performances really detract from its beauty, not add to it. The northern end of the park is less crowded and more enjoyable in my opinion.
Whoreable place to vizit
Great place to relax in the middle of Manhattan. One can spend an entire day here. It is lively with multiple performances and activities. The boating is simply superb. Perfect place to have a photoshoot during sunset time.
Great place!
This place has essentially every type of exercising available except for some water sports, though it still has a pool. The membership is necessary for recurrent trips. Inside there's an entire room of treadmills, ellipticals, cycling, …
We have been twice and so far recommend a weekday visit. The seconds part around the large lake in the middle was nice and was a much nicer walk with less tourist's. If, like us, you are not into crowds then don't go on a weekend, go during the week.
Laid on the great lawn in front of the castle. Had a nice blanket, and book. Nice tunes, and a pipe with some cool blue dreams...i have in heaven for about 3 hours. Most best time! Love central park!
One of the most beautiful parks I've ever been to. The meandering paths and fields and playgrounds were lovely. Loved seeing all the people enjoying themselves and relaxing. Enough restrooms for this pregnant lady, too.
Busy lately, but best option around. Although some treadmills and equipment is broken and needs repairs. Still the best option even with its issues.
Great place to workout. The only issue I have is the fitness center is a bit crammed. But everyone seems to work around each other.
Beautiful in all seasons. The nicest green space in the world with many interesting plaques to read and things to see. I'm glad I got to go there a few times in my life.
Highly recommend renting a bike and biking through Central Park. It's about 8 miles and you have a few hills but it is well worth it. There is so much to see and you definitely can see it all on a bike.
Great place to get excercise, take a class, meet people and just have fun. The employees are wonderful and the center offers an incredible diversity within their membership base
Only got to see a small section near Strawberry Fields. Looking forward to seeing more on my next trip to NYC. Watch out for the scamming monks near bow bridge. I though he was really just wishing me peace and love, but he was trying to scam me out of money!
I have been to Central Park many times but often just end up wandering aimlessly. This time I really wanted to see all of it and decided to rent a bike. Then I saw a blogger on Pinterest who reviewed and recommended a bike tour through Unlimited Biking. I thought that would be the most productive way of renting a bike. It was a great decision. Having a bike and riding with a group and a guide was awesome. My guide was Dan and he was fun, informative and personable. He did his best to include and connect with every one in our group. I would definitely recommend a bike tour with Unlimited Biking and Dan to anyone wanting to see Central Park.
I miss it here! I used to come almost every day to use the fitness center. It is a clean, well maintained and inviting facility. My son always looked forward to visiting the Kid Zone and the nice ladies in there seem to genuinely care about the children being engaged, staying safe, and feeling welcome. Sue and Ebony were always quick to greet him by name and make him feel at home. My only gripe is with the hours of the Kid Zone (being closed between 1 and 4). My schedule has changed and I can no longer come in the mornings- I have to work out in the afternoon. If they ever decide to extend the childcare hours, I'll be back!
What a beautiful park in the middle of the city! If you're a nature person and find yourself in NYC, this is the place to go. I enjoyed several leisurely walks, spotting lots of different birds and plants each time. My favorite spot was probably Turtle Pond, is was great being so close to so many turtles!
So many great aspects of Central Park. It deserves it's own day in your itinerary. If you don't have time, use it to go one side of the city to the other. In other words, find a reason to go for a walk in the park.
The outdoor pool area is nice but my 4 yr old daughter put her foot in a jet of water on the kids slide area. Some of the water splashed the life guard at the kids slide. Then she yelled at my daughter and brought her to tears. When I confronted the life guard she yelled at me and was extremely rude all because she got water on her in the kids area. When I asked to speak with a manager I was told she was probably just being grouchy because the water is cold. Nothing was done and I will never go back to that pool again. Why are you a lifeguard if getting wet makes you scream at little kids? There are other pools with nicer staff.
Modern and clean facilities for swimming or exercise. It's set up very well for families and offers activities for all ages at a reasonable price.
What a beautiful space to be able to enjoy nature. It is one of the "uost see" spots in NYC. If you have time limitations sign up for a walking or bike tour so that a knowledgeable guide can show you the most beautiful and notable spots in the park.
Clean, friendly staff but parking is tricky.
Central Park is beautiful! A must see if you're visiting NYC. I do recommend doing some research ahead of time to figure out what you might like to see. The park is huge, so you can't count on naturally coming across everything.
The beautiful Monon Trail is a great way to experience the gorgeous outdoors at the Community Center. The Center also has a bike rental system available for public use with a fee.
You should definitely visit the north side of the park if you’d like a tourist free more in nature area! Had a great time over the weekend
A beautiful oasis located in the middle of hustle and bustle of New York. We enjoyed a full day riding bikes through out and simply enjoying it for what it is. Lunch at the boat house was great also!
Very fun park. We took a carriage tour, well worth it. Driver gave us info on movie landmarks and let us stop for photos. Lots to explore.
Absolutely breathtaking landscapes. One of the best tourist stops in the world In my opinion. I highly recommend this place if you decide to tour the city. You can easily spend three hours here.
Came here during Christmas time. Beautiful park! We wanted to ice skate at the Rockefeller center but so did everyone else so we why to Central Park to ice skate and the line was much shorter and the cost was a lot let for more time to skate. Awesome memories!
The nature walks are great!! And the amount of classes and things to do at the Monon Center is astounding. Plus all the wildlife there keeps the walks interesting.
Nice people, clean building. Great experience.
The water park here is phenomenal. Great place to hang out with family and friends.
Central Park is an amazing Park in an amazing city. It is a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. It contrasts with this urban city with a nice serene and calm feeling. I went to the Pond and loved it.
Lines were too long. Food from concessions was gross.
Great deal if you live close for the family!
Central Park is incredible for New York! It’s one of the iconic parks of the city, you’ll truly enjoy visiting the sites that you’ll see from in the park and out of it! It’s a must go when you travel to New York, so many places to be and things to do in it, tons of food around it. It even has a pool and ice skating rink!
There is something to do in central park for everyone, whether you are a resident of New York or just visiting. People of all ages can enjoy this marvel if they chose to spend an hour or the whole day. Last time I was there we had a picnic on one of the fields that does not allow dog walking with my wife and 2 year old daughter. We all had a blast enjoying nature and running around. This is a must visit for anyone in New York.
Incredible park! The best part about it is that it's a relaxed place right around one of the most packed areas in the entire world. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting New York to stop by here. Especially after walking around Times Square this is the perfect place to take a little break.
The Monon Center is a bit more family geared than what I am looking for. I suppose that isn't really a fault with the center, but hear me out. The aquatic center looked quite nice. I don't swim much though, and the lap pool was pretty small and taken up by people doing classes. There is a very nice trio of basketball courts and an elevated indoor track. I have been trying to find a place to do some strength training, and unfortunately the weight here are lacking. There are only two regular benches and three racks for squatting. There were no plates for the benches which I found really strange. I ended up borrowing a few from the racks. The weights were disorganized and missing. Lots of space is taken up by cycles, ellipticals, and other machines. The freeweights just feel neglected. Everything else about the facility is nice and well kept. Rates are pretty reasonable too. I got a $10 day pass to check it out, though I probably should have asked if they had any free trials. $40/ month normal membership with no sign-on fees and can be canceled any time. Again, this is a nice facility. If they expanded the free weights area I would love to come back.
Good place to spend time with the family and friends.
Awesome place, clean friendly.
Central park has been on my bucket list for a very long time I was finally able to go today, the park is fabulous the one problem I did have which is why I can't give the 5 star rating is because mostly all the areas that you walk on the path smell like piss which should be handled better just for children.
Very cool pace to visit. We wanted to ride bikes thru the park but ran out of time. It was very nice lush green grass. Definitely a breath of fresh air so to speak in amount a huge city.
I’m so glad I joined the Monon Community Center. I love the campus and the included classes.
Alot of fun, lots and lots of activities for the kids and adults.
What a fantastic place to be! We loved it so much. The kids liked the huge rocks in the park, where they climbed tirelessly. Finally a relaxed break for the adults.
No matter how many times I come here with my family I can never ever get enough of this beautiful entertaining park. So much to do you Can't cover everything in one day that's why if you are here for a few days, make a list what places to see and where to enter the park so that you don't waste your time. A must visit for everyone.
Nice park!
What to say? The greatest park on earth! It's humongous, but there are many places to chill out. There is a nice baseball field where you can watch them playing baseball, there are also two lakes, the big one in the center of the park and the small one further south, where I rented a canoe for 1 hour. There are also many talented street musicians and festivals in the park. It's a great feeling to be in this park.
I loved taking a nap out on the grass. Spent a lot of time at Bethesda Fountain. A fun thing to do is renting a rowboat although the line can be long
I arrived at the weightlifting center, eager to experience a stimulating workout to help germinate rippling musculature but made a mistake by going into the men's locker room. As I approached, I didn't think much, assuming it was like a normal locker room, a place to change, shower, and release human waste. I opened the door and was met with a man, about 60 years old who was fully naked and standing in the open, staring at me with a diabolical stare emerging from his dilated pupils. I attempted to ignore him, looking down but he called for me, telling me that he was locked out of his own locker and was unable to retrieve his clothes. He wanted me to get a monon worker to unlock the locker for him. I complied, walking to the weightlifting desk where I expected an employee to be. To my amazement, nobody was there so I had to walk to another desk, which took about another minute. I told one of the workers, who seemed to suffer from social anxiety as he didn't seem to maintain eye contact with me and also had poor posture, possible rupturing his spine and damaging his thoracolumbar fascia if he were to maintain that posture chronically. I lead the man up the stairs to the gym, feeling awkward on the way up as he made no effort to initiate any conversation and walked very slowly. I lead him to the scene of the accident which luckily he was able to solve quite easily so I went on with the rest of my day and headed to the sinks. I arrived at the sinks as a horrendous stench began to permeate my nostrils, which smelled like a mixture of rotten rectal discharge mixed with severe body odor. I started to feel a bit dizzy, but pushed through it as I headed to the urinal. I wait to use a urinal as a fully naked man begins to start shaking frantically at the urinal, moving his hand quickly back and forth. I'm not sure if he was attempted to pleasure himself or dry himself but I decided to go use the stall instead. I entered the stall and the protruding smell starts to get worse, and I shift my view to the toilet where a heaping pile of feces sat, half of which was not even in the toilet and was piling over the edges. At this point I was not very surprised but was immensely disgusted and dissatisfied with my experience so far. I found one of the janitors who luckily said he would clean it up but felt sorry for him as that would be very difficult to clean up. As for the man who made the mess, hopefully he would see a gastroenterologist . I left the locker room, happy to be able to get out of that place. I entered the weightlifting area, which was very crowded but was luckily able to get on the leg press machine. Two forty five pound plates were already present on both sides but I needed more so I grabbed one and put it on one side but as I went to grab another one a teenage girl grabs the forty five on the leg press and takes it to deadlift. I approached her, already in a poor mood, and told her that I was using that. She acted surprised and sassy and even made me take the weight back from her. She seemed to assume I wouldn't be strong enough to lift the weight I put on. While I leg pressed she kept staring at me, but tried to hide it and she did not do that too well. After I finished leg press, I went to squat and after I warmed up I loaded three 300 total on the bar. The whole gym seemed to stare at me, like I was some kind of celebrity. I was not sure if they had never seen someone squat 300 pounds or if they were just obsessed with my physique. Either way, it was a bit distracting but fortunately didn't harm my workout. I finished squat and arrived at the hamstring curl machine. While curling, I was unwillingly forced to listen to a conversation between a seventy year old man and a twenty year old man discuss their sexual desires with women. The old man was obsessed with fat women, and even discussed the aftermath, such as rectal seepage which didn't sound too pleasant. I finished my workout and left, feeling dissatisfied but also entertained. I will contemplate whether buying a membership or not in the future.
Love this facility. The monon center is a great thing to have here in Carmel.
One of the most beautiful parks I've ever been to. It absolutely lives up to the reputation placed upon it for decades. You could easily spend an entire day here. And you probably should.
One of the crown jewels of Carmel. Affordable, great fitness for indoor winter months, water park, great community resource.
Tranquil and serene , busy and exciting , Central Park offers a little bit of everything for all! It is my favorite place to go , I usually walk to 84th street , the metropolitan museum and explore freely. Once in the park I go graze grass at the sheep meadow, check on the monkeys in the garden and rent a boat for an hour of rowing routine in the lake . Summers are wild and winters quiet , so Central Park is always a win! Be aware of runners , they are unforgiving
Amazing facility! Great variety of classes. Inspired instructors.
Love Central Park. So much happening, lots to see. Even when it's busy you can find a quiet spot. Picturesque. Perfect place for people watching. My favourite place in New York! Love the squirrels and wildlife. Watched the terrapins in the lake. A must see whilst in the big Apple!!
Always clean. The staff is always friendly. I love going here for a workout.
Great place for kids to hang out if you have plenty of time.. If you are Touring NYC on a time crunch, you just want to make one stop and spend an hour or so walking around and then move on.
Its litterally the best workout place ive been to. Its top notch in machines that work every part of your body. Its sooooo clean, and thats a huge quality gyms dont have but this 1 kills that stereotype bc its so clean. It has litterally everything from 3 gyms, top notch work out facility, waterparks, skating park, and clean locker rooms with a sauna. Its Awesome!!!!!
Amazing beautiful place in every season. There are many playgrounds for kids, sports activities, theater, concerts and much more. You definitely not be disappointed to spend time there.
Like the place. It is really big and you can spend a day just exploring. It has a pond with the boat sailing. Big rocks, a lot of grass to sit on. During the winter it has an ice rink, where you can rent equipment if you don't have it with you. If you are first time in New York I would advise you to try hot dogs over there =)
Great place for a workout, play some basketball or swim. Was a member for two years and enjoyed the place and the people who work there.
I've been visiting the Community Center about twice a month for the past year. The clean facilities, cordial staff, and adequate equipment/amenities creates a pretty welcoming environment. They host a wide array of activities and classes for those interested. The open gym and friendly atmosphere keep me coming back!
A big breath of fresh air in NYC among the jungle of buildings and chaos. Central Park is a massive beautiful park always filled with energy and positive vibes. Whether you’re just visiting or taking a stroll through the park, the experience and amazing maintenance of the park are unbelievable.
The community center is a great value. Large variety of classes, free weights, machines, track, pools, pretty much everything you'd want to do. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. Oh and there's an outdoor water park! All this for a very reasonable price.
Great place to visit
Everyone I’ve encountered who works here is always friendly and helpful! Love that there are so many classes included with your membership.
Great facility.
Better than most places.
Great place
By far the best part if New York. Streets around the city are dirty, diesel engines are pumping out fumes all day and night for food stalls. In central part you get none of that. Fresh air and amazing walks.
Always a pleasure to visit. Can easily spend half a day at least walking around. Gets too crowded during weekends especially holiday weekends. Try to avoid such peaks
It was MUCH bigger than I expected it to be. You could spend hours walking around in there. It was hot when we were there but the trees provided some shade. There were a number of vendors around the edge of the park selling refreshments and that was nice too.
Beautiful acres of trees and park right in the middle of a huge city. They have bike rentals food vendors, a petting zoo, you can even rent a small remote control sailboat. So pretty
Great place to take the kids swimming
Great price for a great work out center. It almost seems too good to be true. The pool is fantastic, good variety on work out equipment. Haven't tried the basketball courts or the classes but they look fantastic as well.
Central Park is definitely a must see. In a city of millions that such a green space exists is amazing. The best part is how people enjoy it. We certainly did. There are so many venues within the park. Of course, we enjoyed a beverage at the Tavern on the Green.
Nice place to relax. Admire surroundings green clothes of the park. Many chairs to sit and have a conversation with your beloved ones.
The best place to hang out. Go here and enjoy the ambience. DON'T pay the touts at the entrance who will tell you you need a guide to get the full experience, just go in, buy an OFFICIAL map if you need to, from the information kiosks INSIDE the park, or just wander around. You will be pleasantly surprised at all of the variety. Take your time. I've been here 6 times over the years, and I still haven't seen it all.
Amazing greens right in the heart (may be lungs) of NYC! Surrounded by modern world from all 4 sides...this place will take you away from all the hectic city life! Just relax and enjoy the time in woods or in open park or around lake side. Must visit place in NYC trip!
Nice
Carmel can really be proud of this recreational facility plus the surrounding park. How many rec centers have exercise equipment, swimming, basketball courts, dance classes, and great trails to walk surrounded by nature. You can go fishing also! Plus lots more.
Carmel has done what many other small cities outside of Indy haven’t been able to do. They’ve built a community center that is practical and BONUS inclusive of those who are different abled.
Had a wonderful time at the Monon pools area. There are slides, rock climbing, lots of little children areas, and a lazy river! The staff is very kind and upholds safety seriously. They have discount prices after 5pm on certain days which are a great deal!
I've been enjoying the Monon Community Center and bringing my kids here for over 5 years and I'm always pleasantly surprised
Awesome Facility with Exceptionally Happy People
The best place for learning swimming
Beautiful state-of-the-art center & outdoor waterpark. And the grounds are amazing. Driving in from the east entrance is reminicent of driving into the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore beaches!
I would actually say this is four and a half Stars. we go here regularly for classes for the children. It is a great way for them to try out different sports and activities without a long commitment, very important for five and eight year olds. I have not use the gym but it looks very well kept and there is a children's area where your kids can play while you work out. It is always clean and well-staffed. The indoor pool has several water slides and play areas in addition to a lap pool. We have been to the outdoor Waterpark as well. I'm not as big of a fan of that. It is very crowded with long waits for many of the activities. There is a nice snack bar with delicious soft serve ice cream. The people that come up to the pool in the summer sometimes seemed a bit sketchy. They also run the summer camps throughout Carmel as well as the after-school programs at the schools. Signing up for classes is easy and can be done online after creating an account. It would be cool if they sent a reminder e-mail out before your class session started.
Super fun to explore. Bring your own food from the local grocer and it’s pretty easy to sneak in wine in a bag. Boyfriend took me for a romantic picnic. We had a lovely time snacking, sipping and watching the sun go down. ❤️
Never buy the membership. They will take advantage of you and bill you every month without telling you.
First time here. Purchased a lock from here that jammed up and couldnt get to my items. Park closed early due to severe weather and couldn't get someone to cut the lock off! Stood there until all of the staff was leaving. Spent my day at park by the lockers. No refund offered either. Wont come back.
It is a nice facility but their personal trainers aren't the best and the KidZone hours completely black out afternoon workouts or group classes/events. Staff is hit and miss. Some are helpful and others are either clueless or to busy to answer questions.
Very beautiful and scenic albeit crowded at certain times of the day at certain locations within the park. Beware of individuals who try to ‘sell’ you something or solicit you to ‘donate’ they can be a tad aggressive. Running into a few of these individuals definitely had a negative impact on my experience. However, riding a pedicab with a knowledgeable individual about the park and its surroundings was definitely worth the money!
Great place to take kids. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields and a swimming pool. Great place to go bike ridding and jogging. The kids absolutely love Central Park. They really enjoy the zoo as well. There is so much to do there. Nice place to picnic as well.
Great classes for Homeschoolers! We love the teachers.
This is a beautiful park in Manhattan. It is great place to spend time with family and friends. You can relax from city life while still being in Manhattan. It's also great to get active in a wonderful place with the trees and bushes. I love to be in central park, I can clear my mind and enjoy being there.
Love this park, only complaint is that they turn the water off early at the splash pad! Many kids disappointed.
Loved how you can walk freely without cars. Thanks to the many activists and loving people who put in the work to make that happen!
Excellent park with preserved natural surroundings ,ample of space to play around, for jogging, running, cycling even Boating Etc. Specially recommended for families and kids picnic. One can enjoy horse cart ride also. I really loved Central Park in the heart of Manhattan, NY.
As a Nanny I love taking my kids here. It's expansive, free. No matter what age they are, there is always an age appropriate park for them.
Can't wait to go back with the kids when I have more time.
Great place to work out. Better place to be employed.
We took a rickshaw ride through the park. I would highly recommend it. It was only $25. They showed us key places in the park and took pictures for us. So much fun.
My friends and i were kicked out for flipping, and other dumb things kids do. Very mean and horrible staff. Horrible wait to get in and very harsh rules. I recommend a different place to swim, play basketball, workout etc. HORRIBLE. DO NOT RECCOMD
Fitness classes are very good.
My go to trail after a long and stressful work week. Quiet in the morning.
Great water park!
One big green area in the middle of the most bustling city in the world... Nice to see many people everywhere in the park... You can also relax and enjoy the peace and quiet in the sprawling greens...
I wish I had another day in New York City to explore the whole park. The row boats were amazing. Best value for some beautiful views. $15.00 HR cash only. Plus a $20.00 refundable deposit when you return the boat within the first hour.
Nice, clean facility. Price is very reasonable for what you get. Indoor pool is very nice in the winter for kids. The outdoor pool does get busy in the summer on weekends.
Central Park is a beautiful respite from the big city while keeping you close to the activity. Rent a bike and cruise around peacefully or speed along at a faster pace. Either way you can stop here and there to see the various landmarks or pull up to the great lawn and lounge for a bit. This is definitely a place that both tourists and residents enjoy and a great place for exercise
Brilliant park. Zoo great. Too many people pushing for taking you for a ride round the park. When they get you interested then the layout changes. Would be easier if honest up front. Overall great place to go
The most beautiful park, it's so big, its like a completely separate world in the heart of New York. It really is a breathtakingly beautiful. I would highly recommend everyone to visit this place at least once. Just make sure your shoes are good for walking because there is alot to walk there.
Me and my family remember the pools to packed in the summertime people from the city and everywhere come the gym cool steam room
This park has so much to offer. We loved the bike trails. I would recommend renting bike from the city bike rental kiosks around the park. They are cheap and very convenient.
Super cool. This was my first time in the city and central park was amazing and did not feel like being in the middle of NYC at all. Saw some cool performances, statues and wildlife. The bike lane is amazing and there are actually some good downhill sections of the bike track. This place was amazing and just what I was looking for to get a break from the hustle of the big city.
Great value for money, excellent facilities, good place to park and jump on to Monon rail trail , have to wait to get a slot during weekend peak hours for parking
Very nice community park and recreation center in carmel
Do u even lift
Great place to visit if you want to experience nature in NY. We rented a bike to ride around and it can be completed in a decent amount of time. There are some hills that could be challenging though if you're not in shape.
Incredible value. Excellent focus on clean. Great fitness center and awesome summer pool activities like the lazy river and surfing area. Just want to add a little thing that says a lot about the place ... the crew that maintains the windows, keeps them clean, does an A+ job. I hope someone there shared this add to my prior post.
This park is booming with activities! We had time to walk around most of the park, saw musical talents, even got our caricature completed. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a good burn from biking/hiking or just to relax.
An amazing tranquil place in the midst of one the most densely populated areas in the world. Be sure to spend time around The Lake and check out the Bow Bridge. It is safe during the day and despite what people say it is also safe during the night with local Police always nearby. But make sure you comply with Park regulations on times and where you are allowed to venture.
It is do do don’t go swear to good
The best place to walk in the greatest walking city in the world. If you love to walk or ride a bike, this is a must do. I was there during some beautiful fall days and it was amazing.
Central park is a gorgeous escape from the streets of New York, but at the same time a reminder of why NYC is so amazing. Where can you see a gorgeous bed of flowers overlooking a baseball field at the bottom of the hill. Great for family time, romantic walks and a great taste of nature
Amazing! This park is completely man-made but looks so natural. I highly highly recommend having a leisurely walk through here if you are spending any time New York. There is a zoo, but I did not visit it. However, I did had feed the squirrels, and fed the birds as they have become accustomed to humans
Magical place in the center of the business of the city. Great place to take a stroll in the morning with a cup of coffee and check out the sights. They have some wonderful street performers near Bethesda fountain. There's almost always some sort of event going on in the park. You can rent small canoes, bikes, rickshaws or you can walk through the park.
Beautiful and impressive park. We toured it with John in a NYC Park Tours pedicab. It was wonderful. When we return we will be certain to visit again. Recommend that everyone visit this beautiful landmark.
Very nice facility, but we took our 18 month old to swim inside and the water was cold. We didn't stay long because he was shivering. We were very surprised considering it was indoors.
This park is incredible, there is nothing else like it in the world. I didn't feel the need to walk the whole park, but we did visit a few primary locations. Don't be taken in by those trying to sell rides! If you want to move faster than feet, hire your own bike and look up the free walking audio tours.
Can't really see much when you're a morning run. Also it can get pretty confusing if you're following the jogging trails, ended up going in a circle. I started at 5:30 hoping to follow some jogging trails and do the whole park, ended up having to find my way back to road to get my sense of direction. I also couldn't find any place with pull up bars/outdoor gym areas to work out between my jog. When the sun came up at 6:40 I could see the sky scrappers and followed the trails a little bit easier.
What a lovely place. When I met my first date and we enjoyed to take a walk around and it was nice place. Perfect weather and park.
Great place to work out and also take a class and learn something new.
What a wonderful facility! Great kids zone. Love the exercise options.
This park is beautiful in the spring. I love how there's cherry blossoms everywhere. It's refreshing to walk around, and getting those steps in. Also a great place for photography, and nature sighting.
Central Park is a great place to send the day with friends, family or your boyfriend/girlfriend. You are able to ride a boat, have a picnic, play music, walk around, ride a bike, dance. It's a looong list about activities that you can done over there. The bad part about the place it's that are many rats around, and most of the people don't feel comfortable with.
Iconic. Not much more to say. Nice place to get away from the city for a bit but still stay in the city. All the waterfront places are nice. Close to a lot of museums and food.
Went to an event for adults and was not happy with not being able to use the lazy River because people ran and took all the float tubes
The park was beautiful, clean and what I always thought it would look like. The biggest issue I had was the guys selling rides on the rickshaw and horse carriage. They were everywhere and some were very aggressive. Most were only at park entrance but getting past them was crazy. They really need to think about setting up ticket booths so people can buy tickets as desired
Love this place. My favorite free thing to do in NYC. Beautiful views, bike paths, easy access to food all around and great photo ops. I'd take half a day to explore everything it has to offer as there is even a zoo in there. On the other hand you could do morning runs in different parts of the park for a less overwhelming experience.
Fantastic center great for entire family
One of the best parks in the United States. It's so big that you can still breath the fresh air even on the weekend.
Great work out facilities, great pool, great gymnasium. Check it out if you haven't been yet. You'll love it.
Complete exercise area with a variety of cross training machines, weight machines for complete body work out, and free weights, trainers, indoor track, 3 basketball gyms, private and group aerobics classes, and large indoor olympic lap pool, outdoor swim park with surf wave, slides, float circuit, and multi mile loop track through prairie and woods. Rates vary depending on residency and membership.
Nice place. Good programs, dance for kids and swimming for toddlers and youth are the ones I have done. Relatively affordable and good instructors.
I work here but besides that I love it! Loads of fun programming for all people all the time. Come us in fitness soon!
Nice facility, great staff, awesome water park.
It's an amazing park, especially during late summer. You can bike through the park with virtually no cars about. The Bethesda fountain and the water behind it is great for taking pictures at on a sunny day!
Loved this place. So restful. Watched a friendly baseball game between Attending Physicians and Residents from a local hospital (I guess). Beautiful old trees
I can't speak to much else aside from the water park, but this is one of our favorite summer activities. We typically go after 4 when the entrance rates are discounted and it's a bit less crowded. The lazy river wasn't open on our last visit due to upgrades and repairs being made This place is always very clean and the staff is always super friendly. I appreciate that we are allowed a cooler with drinks and snacks, but their concessions area has decent options at great prices as well! The new playground and splash pad on the west side of the grounds is pretty stellar as well. The layout of the play area is different and interesting and encourages inclusive and imaginative play.
Great equipment, well maintained and clean.
I want to get a job here
Cool water park for kids.
Thanks for building a skatepark now I can workout and skate right after!
Their water park is great for kids in the summer. Great gym, sauna, and indoor track. Modern facilities and easy access to the Monon trail!
No need for a detailed review. The park is beautiful as was the weather when we visited. Wonder why other US cities could not include a park like this in order to give people a respite from the concrete jungle.
What a great place! I admire that NYC has a a green recreational space able for running? Taking pets for a walk or even go to have some rest. Every single city should have something like this! Well done!!!
I've been to hosted events at the center and it was clean and well run. Today I took the kids to the new park at the west entrance. It is a very modern climbing park with lots of levels and activities for all age groups. One of the best parks in the area.
Cool place to hang out, work out, swim, and do many other fun activities. Classes and summer day camps are available at a reasonable price.
I visit every once in a while to take the kiddo swimming. They changed the prices and now charge each parent to watch your child swim. 30 dollars to have your child swim for an hour or two is a bit pricey. They pride themselves in community but it's apparent they only cater to one demographic.
