We've got all the reviews of real people who purchased the services of Brown County State Park (Park) in the area close to Indiana.
At present this firm gets a score of 4.8 stars over 5 and that score was based on 3113 reviews.
As you can see it reaches an opinions average is practically the best one, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the valuation is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to value when they are satisfied, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to set opinions when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Park is classified in the category of State park.
The park is beautiful as always. The pavement is better than any of the local roads. The amount of picnic tables, bbqs, and parking is plenty and varied. The forest itself is the real star. The trails and every other feature are well marked.
Nice for a quiet drive. Recommend during the week so there is less traffic.
This place shows a completely different side of Indiana. (as someone from northern Indiana) it's a great place with many things to do, many trails to hike, and great views.
It is a beautiful place and has good staff throughout the park. It seems to be well kept and clean. I went biking on the MTB trails and thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish I lived closer.
What a neat place! Trails galore. Had been there before. Just needs a little TLC. Unfortunately, that's the way it is with most state parks. Need more volunteers to help the DNR staff. Will definitely return.
This State Park is one of our favorite campgrounds. The bath houses are immaculate and bright. It doesn't have full hookups but the grounds are beautiful and spacious. A 5 mile drive and your in Nashville IN. A small town with very nice shopping and dinning.
My parents spent there honey moon there. Been coming here my whole life. My parents love it ,so do I.
Lots to do. Friendy helpful rangers. Scenic views. Huge park
Great environment. Lots of trees and hills. Scenic lookouts and trails to hike. Great pool and mountain bike trails. Had a great time.
Great place,been going since I was a kid....still going.Lots to do,beautiful scenery...Recommended highly.
Love going at night while looking at the stars and listening to the sounds of nature. Very relaxing
wish I could live here it's beautiful and we saw many cute animals
Very good place for Hiking , horse riding, Kids Friendly, pet friendly and good place viewing sunrise and sunset. If You have $7 and time go there
Had a wonderful day with the love of my life, thank you for our cookout very enjoyable and relaxing I love you beautiful FOREVER. Can't wait until we can get back to camping.
Nice state park with a huge mountain bike trail system
Beautiful Park lots of trails for hiking mountain bike riding or horseback
Beautiful views and friendly Hoosiers abound. Small towns with historic character and charm await all who visit. Highly recommended. :)
Amazing scenery. They also have cabins available for rent for a nice little getaway. Little Nashville is a short distance away
Endless green spaces, abundant wildlife, so many trails to walk, tons of camping areas and picnic spots, and it is all settled in one of the best places in the state of Indiana. Little Nashville right down the road is probably one of the nicest, cleanest, most amazing little towns you will ever find in America. This is a must do multi-day road trip with your family and friends. One that is repeatable because there is too much to see in one day.
Great family setting tons to do clean quiet couldn't ask for more..
Beautiful state park. Trails for all kinds of levels. If you enjoy nature and being outdoors a great place to visit in Indiana.
Great place to go if you just need away from the real world HAPPY that we chose this for our family vacation spent a week in the campground and the DNR are so nice and friendly we will be coming back again and again and again
One stop location for amazing views, camping, hiking trails and picnic.
Could have spent lots more time here. Enjoyed seeing the old fire watch towers.
Very large state park, with many hilly and wavy roads. beautiful views in the park. Many if nature/hiking trails.
This is the best park in my home state of beloved Indiana.
Very nice and pleasant place to go on weekends. It was my first time that I go there and I have an excellent experience. The park was really beautiful and you never get bored there. The only thing about it which was not good is its restrooms which were in terrible condition. I did not expect to see such dirty restrooms in a lovely place!!!!!
Love this park. The campsites are fantastic and there are so many trails to experience nature. Nashville is a great town that you just have to go wander and shop in.
This park is Huge. Plenty of picnicking spots, they have a huge Camp ground. Lots of Biking, fishing, hiking. You can't go wrong. Also close by is the town of Nashville what a way to spend the day.
What a great place. We did a 6 mile hike to Ogle Lake, biked the campground, showers were clean and warm. Really like this place.
Easy drive from Indy's Southside So much to enjoy from swimming to horseback riding. Camping or Abe Martin Lodge. Camp store and hayrides. Hiking and fishing! Just driving through the park and getting back to nature and taking in the breathtaking views!
Our extended family enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday here. We had a wonderful time being together hiking and enjoying the indoor water experience. However, our family has a number of dietary needs (that are not extraordinary)the state parks make no effort to accommodate. We had to import all our own food. It should not be hard to at least offer gluten free menu items.
I have been coming to Brown County State Park for over 60 years. I am currently a DNR volunteer at the park and come a few times a week helping with hikes and other activities. I am also a member of a group called "Friends of Brown County" and we help raise money to improve the park. Brown County State Park is the largest state park in Indiana and it has wonderful hiking trail that I love to hike as often as possible. It is a huge hardwood forest that is teaming with many birds and wildlife. In the spring you can view many wildflowers that are unique to the area. The nature center building in the park offers a great collection of displays including some venomous snakes and turtles. There are many activities to do at the nature center that can be viewed online by googling Brown County State Park. Finally the Abe Martin Lodge, in the park, offers great meals and lodging that makes the park a full service outdoor adventure center. I love everything about Brown County State Park and will continue to be involved as long as I am able.
Great camping experience. The best batch house i have ever been to.
This is Indiana's biggest and in my opinion their best park. Most campsites are well shaded. Lots of shops in Nashville.
WONDERFUL, SIMPLY WONDERFUL!!! In the woods. Sweet sounds of nature. Bathrooms are clean but wear flip flops for showers. This is a must go to. Also Nashville, IN....kinda tourist trap shopping. But a good diversion for a day. They use to have more artists.
Awesome,
Beautiful .A great place to catch the sunset in the early months. So much nature to be seen, great trails. So go take in some fresh air and Natures Beauty and peacefulness.
Loved this park and the camping atomsphere. Had a really nice time.
I hadn't been to the park for many years and it's just as beautiful as it ever was very clean and the scenery is just beautiful
Olympic sized outdoor swimming pool was wonderful. It was challenging to find our campsite--especially after dark :( Visited 2 lakes inside park which were lovely. One had a small waterfall. We love visiting the town of Nashville, IN and Brown County State Park is convenient place to stay near town.
Beautiful views! Great park for driving, hiking, picnicking... Family members have rented cabins there over the years. They still aren't as updated as I think they should be but still nice and cozy.
Need to get out of the city go to the little smokeys. made the same way the smokey mountains in Tennessee. This place is a great way to let loose and see the world in a good way. If just a day fishing taking a Walk in the woods fresh clean air the fall is beautiful you half too see it for yourself.
This park is massive. My friends and I went down there for the weekend with the though of exploring the park. We only got through about a quarter of the whole area and we loved what we saw. The views are spectacular and the perfect place to eat lunch outside. Going here during the spring or fall when the colors of nature stand out the most is recommend. I definitely anticipate going back in the future.
Wonderful horse trails, park amenities are great, Nashville has many things to see such as wineries and artisans. The park is also exceptionally clean.
Beautiful views of Brown County. Camping area was very clean and family friendly.
Mouse poop in our cabin got us our first nights stay free. The lodge is nice but when we moved out to our family cabin we only stayed there one afternoon because the park was closed due to lack of water. Not recommended unless you are very flexible with your accomodations.
Park is very nice except the campsites are very unkept looking. They need to be mowed desperately. The rest of the park is mowed and looks very pretty. Wish the campsites did!
Wonderful park with hiking trails and nature center. Great for kids of all ages!
Always a great time with new things to see with every visit. You may think, "I've been there and saw everything" but the shops are always updating and evolving.
Great place to visit, we had a picnic in the park with an awesome scenic view. I would definitely recommend you check this place out.
This park is popular for a reason, it's beautiful, well kempt, and there are many things to do. I visited after a brief rain and understand why they call it the mini smokies. There are quite a few well maintained viewing spots to view the wooded hills throughout the park.
Places awesome Abe Martin Lodge awesome food was fantastic the cabins are great trials everything I can find nothing bad about it at all
Another beautiful park but just a reminder west gate is the only gate for trucks with trailer
Go!!! We loved it. The perfect balance between slowing life down, yet having places to explore.
Very nice place to camp. We had a great time.
Lots of great mountain biking trails and separate hiking trails for those who find mountain bikes passing unnerving. The nature preserve trails 5, 4, & 7 made for a nice peaceful hike. Abe Martin Lodge for breakfast afterwards was a nice finish.
We think it's a pretty cool place.
Beatiful place. Lots to do including hiking, camping, horseback trails, fishing, and a nice nature center. The hike we tried to go on was harder than advertised but if you're in great shape i wouldn't worry.
Great place to explore. We stayed on the camp grounds and they were nice and clean
Great hiking. We stayed in one of the rustic cabins....boy was it! The lodge pool was super fun! Will go back, but either stay in the lodge or a nicer cabin.
Great day. Nature center was awesome, hiking trails well kept and informative. Massive pool and pretty much everything you would need.
Beautiful views, very relaxing and horse back ridding is a must!! Great place for a minni getaway
Nice place! Beautiful little lake with a nice, not too long walk all the way around it, with charming boardwalk steps
This is place I would love to come to in the summer or fall. It was so beautiful to see the view. The bridge is how you enter and exit the park. We took pictures of top looking down the Hill and picture of us the top of the hill. Then there is picnic log cabin area. ❤
Great for family vacation or a cheap adult getaway. If you haven't been plenty of camp sites a massive pool and a cute town down the road(Nashville). Driving to the campsite takes a while.
It was beautiful down there the weather was perfect for my granddaughter's wedding
It was a very nice view point. Casual time to spend with friends and family .
Beautiful park. But campsites are tiny. Almost impossible for class a motor homes.
I have been going to Brown County State Park all of my life and i never get tired of seeing the natural beauty. Me and my family go hiking there atleast 2 or 3 times a month. I would recommend that anyone thinking about going should definitely go.
Went horse back riding with my girls and had a blast. I'm very familiar with the park and live close by. It's beautiful.
Beautiful park. Quiet and serene. I did visit when the park wasn't very busy, so I don't know what it's like then, but I loved the peace and quiet we had for our visit. There are spots with fantastic views on the way into the park, and I understand why the park is as popular as it is for a fall destination when the leaves change.
I love Brown county State Park. It never gets old and you can always count on having a good time and seeing some breathtaking views.
We love the park. We visit regularly. The issue I have is how dirty the park has become. Trash on the trails...trash in the lakes. Horrible. We went to relax and have fun....and we did....but I also spent a lot of time cleaning up trash and fishing supplies. It makes us sad when the park is trashed.
Best time is to go in the fall to see al the leaves change
Fantastic park to go to in the fall! Will definitely be going back soon!
Amazing Vista's and tons to do. Autumn is always best but always a blast for the family
It is so beautiful and full of nature at the park. There are horse trails that are peaceful and relaxing as well. Abe Martin Lodge has an inside waterpark that is nice and there is an outdoor pool in the park for when the weather is nice.
My favorite park since I was a kid. The Friends Trail is perfect for my son who is in a wheelchair. A huge thank you to those who made that dream come true!
We loved visiting this state park. It is beautiful and we where there to celebrate our 22 wedding anniversary and we will be back. We loved the way you could go and walk anywhere and enjoy the views.
This gem of a state park is worth a stop and has tons to offer to its guests...great sweeping views from many different vantage points, great trails for all type of hikers, a huge swimming pool, a clean and well maintained campground, and so much more.
State of the art, beautiful, spacious cabins with all the amenities you could need for a family vacation getaway. Close walk or drive to the Abe Martin Lodge that has a game area, gift shop, free coffee, great trails for hiking. Awesome family getaway
Great park for outdoor walking. For kids, visit the lodge water park. We rented a cabin away from the lodge but a short walk or drive to the lodge.
Great trails for hiking camping off the chart and dang I can't eat to take my boys back
A great place to camp n stay at the Inn n cabins
Beautiful! Hiking trails for ever skill and ability level, educational activities for the kids, awesome place to visit.
Just a beautiful peaceful place to visit. I felt like I was in the mountains! Very large park with lots of things to see and do!
Nice park. Been around for years. We had a nice picnic and went to one of the lakes for pictures. Had a nice Saturday. In the fall, the leaves turn an amazing rainbow of colors that people from all over the country come to see.
Trails need to be remarked to make it easier to follow. Loved the trails though. Love coming every memorial weekend to a church gathering.
Everything here. Love the running and riding trails.
Great hiking and camping huge park.. Beautiful views
Cabins and aquatic center are great. Lodge has good food but service was horrible. Went 3 times, different servers all bad. Still give the park 5 stars, Lodge restaurant 1 star.
Beautiful state park. Very clean! Many choices for hiking
I loved this place! It's so beautiful! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is because I didn't get to see it all. It's huge! My husband and I even bought a year long pass so we could come back! We will be going back soon!
The campground was great. Our site was a little un-even. But we had a great time. We will return.
Fantastic place for enjoying holidays with family.lakes..tall trees..cozy rooms ..cottages ..fantastic food and excellent services.
Very nice. Great facilities. Awesome views. Huge park.
A very awesome place to camp clean friendly close to lots of activity love it and when the colors change so Beautiful I Will be back . thank you Brown County!!!!!!!!
We found this park after staying in plain hotels. So much nicer. We stay in the family cabins. Tbis year we didn't eat at tbe lodge. But the food has always been wonderful.
Great place to see nature. Was able to get a map, find restrooms and playground easily. Best part was enjoying the cool forest breeze on a muggy day!
Awesome state park. Called the "little smokies" so if you're looking to do some hiking but don't want the drive check this park out. Look into the Indiana state park pass if you're going to visit this and other state parks frequently.
Always love camping at this campground. Enjoy the wooded sites.
One of my favorite places. We even got married at the Nature Center Overlook. Lot of great memories there.
Great place to spend the day. , a week would be better.
Good stay on a rainy weekend. I only had one pillow. When I asked the girl at the desk she said there was nothing she could do. Then I asked a guy who started the fire pit. He brought me two fresh pillows to my room when we cooked hot dogs in the fire pit. He made my day and I slept like a brick.. . Greatful for his kindness
Beautiful park with incredible views. This park has very very good mountain biking trails that can be quite difficult. If you want a technical challenge check out walnut which is quite difficult even though it’s only 2 miles.
We really enjoy this park! We had a great time at the outdoor pool!
Brown county is so beautiful. I would say that it is probably one of the most scenic areas in Indiana. You can find good food, local shops, and lots to do out doors such as hiking, fishing, and boating.
Beautiful views. Lots of natural hiking. Not road bike friendly. Huge pool. The nature center is definitely worth a visit.
Beautiful drive. Park is VERY WELL KEPT! Nature center is wonderful. Just a great place of fun.
Always great to hike the trails. Camped at a new site and managed to set my hammock up and enjoy and nice evening. Myself and my dogs had a wonderful time.
Love this place, location is great camping and shopping plus great food can't beat that
Beautiful park. Very scenic! Hiking was so much fun!
It's an amazing park! Beautiful grounds and helpful staff.
This was the first time we went and visited. It was a beautiful area, and the park is really maintained well. The North gate is currently closed because they're fixing the bridge. I'm from out of state and it was definitely worth the $9. We hiked and hung out for hours. It's nice you can leave and come back (just show the receipt). We went over to Nashville for lunch and came back for another short hike. I'd definitely recommend bringing family and friends here for a day. Today was absolutely beautiful.
The mtb trails are awesome. If you want to see what they look like check out White Creek Outdoors on YouTube.
It was the best place I have ever been, it was raining gently. Adding a atmosphere that provided more to the experience. I would definitely recommend coming here. Some of the clouds even reached down to the trees.
Beautiful park best camping is the fully wooded electric they are worth the extra money
We did a reconnoiter tour of the park on our way to Kentucky and spent about an hour looking at various sections. We were very impressed and would like to come back. We were surprised by the hilliness of the place and how forested it was. It turned out the hills were moraine left over from the last ice age. There were many trails we could have gone on. The forest was just beautiful. The mature center was excellent.
Beautiful park. Very clean restrooms and nice camp grounds. Enjoyed the nature center as well as the auto tour. Awesome trails for hiking and biking. Horseback riding was great as well. You could tell the horses were well cared for here. Already planning a return visit.
Went here with our club members and had a great picnic. Beautiful scenery and views. Get back to nature here. Log cabins available for rent and camping available too. Even has a restaurant and mini mart to get what you forgot.
I love state parks. Been to brown county many times. Trail around ogle lake is one of our favorites. It can get a little muddy on the far end. But the trail itself is pretty easy, some stairs. Lots of birds around the lake. There is also a playground at the other end of the parking lot.
What a great park. It was 100 degrees while we were there but we still enjoyed some of the great trails and the scenic drive.
Great place to camp, ride bike, walk & hike. Staff was extremely nice!
Praise and Glory to GOD for his creation, JESUS said you must be born again to enter the Kingdom of GOD, are you born again, JESUS really loves you. Praise GOD for his beauty, really nice cabins and awesome trails to hike, All Praise and Glory to my Heavenly Father.
Do it . . . great family day or just a nature moment
Lovely park. Very hot today though which isnt the parks fault. Upjept and fun trails
We loved our stay at Brown County State Park! The views are incredible, and the mountain bike trails are super fun. The bathrooms are even nice!
I love thus state park we always walk down and see the horse barns it's a beautiful country getaway
There's a good variety of trails and a good variety of cabins as well as the lodge. Love the fireplaces. The lodge offers dining with a nice salad bar and Buffet most days. They also now serve wine and beer. Get out there and hike!
Nice large state park, plenty of things to do!
Amazing views and a lot of different things to do. Prepare to be here all day!
Great stay, semi clean bathrooms (needed to change out stinky trash bag or at least empty it). Misinformed about pool hours by pool staff. Hot would have loved to know it was open. All in all great camping.
Wonderful selection of trails, beautiful and clean facilities with lots of opportunities to learn. This sprawling park offers so many awesome features. I would highly recommend that you go for an extended weekend if you truly want to enjoy all the features that the park has to offer.
Beautiful!! Great park. Great place to stay. Will definitely be back.
The park is very well maintained and has some great trails.
Perfect - beautiful- good internet connects great camping
I wish I took pictures but didn't want to bring it on my hikes. This place is breathtaking to the T. Well kept and so many memories can be made there. Well done BCSP! My camera is coming out next time.
My favorite park! Lots of trails for every skill level, bike paths, pet friendly, etc. I train myself and my dogs here. There are ponds to fish in, a stable with riding, parks for kids, and awesome camping areas from fields to heavy woods. I will forever compare every other park to this one
Super spacious party, plenty of room to roam even on holidays. Great hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, nature park, picnic areas, playgrounds. Had a blast!!
Trails, lakes, playgrounds, very clean restrooms and showers, awesome nature center. Great camping experience.
I didn't get to explore all of it while we were there. The park is very big. It was very clean and there are great places to take photos.
Great place, riding trails offer such variety. Quiet Glen's, ridgetop views, brushey new growth. Some trails need maintenance, but this place is a gem.
Great Park to visit people from outside the area leave a lot of trash please ask him to stop it
There are plenty of beautiful views, trails (hiking, bike, and horse), activities, and restrooms. There is also a tower to climb, swimming pool (with concession stand), playground, and a nature center. This is a great place to take your family (including pets) for a weekend (campgrounds) or a day. There is a lot to experience withing their 15,800+ acres!
Always love camping and riding the mountain bike trails.
Love Brown County State Park. Beautiful views in a well maintained clean park. Tons of well maintained trails with easy to read park provided maps. This park is a must for all families with or with out children.
Beautiful park! There is so much to see and do here, walking and biking trails, pool, and horse riding! The views are breath taking to boot. There is also ton of information sprinkled throughout the park about its history and the native species. Also, if you are a Pokémon Go fan there are tons of stops and gyms!
Great place for miles of hiking. They have trails for every level of hiker and it's very well maintained. By far my favorite Park in Indiana.
This park is an Indiana Treasure! 17,000 acres of hilly forest. Hiking, biking , camping, rustic lodge and cabins, waterpark, horseback riding and wildlife. The nearby town of Nashville is fun too!
We rented a near by B&B for a family vacation and went there to swim. The park was clean and well maintained. The life guards were very attentive. They do need to add grip tape to the diving board it's very slippery and multiple people fell off the end while we were there.
Fantastic State Park with tons of campsites, miles of trails to hike or bike, and an awesome crew of Rangers. Many campsites are secluded and very quiet. We will be returning!
Beautiful Park. Well kept up and clean. The park is huge and has many trails to go hiking and exploring on. Thebold radio tower is something awesome to climb up in and look put. The park has a few old log cabins from early settlers for you to explore in. Great place to take your kids, they also have several play grounds to which you can choose from.
It's has beautiful views, nice roads, and clean facilities. If you like to camp in style, there is a nice lodge
Pool is warm! Fun! Staff ok. Cabins have had flying roaches the last two times we have gone. If you're looking for a place to take a large family this is a no-brainer.
Nice massive state park. Still off season, barely, so camp store was closed. Most campsites weren't a great size, but we had our pick because it was empty. Beautiful area. Great hiking and views.
Always love coming here, especially in Autumn. Facilities are super clean, and you get just enough privacy during your hike. In state resident parking is only $7, however you can use your state park pass if you have one to get in no-fare. This park has campgrounds, a restaurant, a pool, etc. Can rent facilities for weddings, too. Has various lengths of trails for your expertise, as well as trails for mountain biking. If you get a chance, pull over at Hesitation Point and take it in. Took my three year old son and he walked the entirety of Hesitation Point Trail no problem. Close to Nashville, but if you need a place to stay overnight, they have the Abe Martin Lodge located within the park grounds.
Best park in Indiana. Check it out. Food could be better at the lodge. Awesome cabin rental. Amazing views.
