My daughter wanted to do an escape room on her birthday. We had a really exciting gift to give her and I had been trying to think of a creative way to present it. I had thought about incorporating it into the escape room I called Breakout expecting to get a NO, but received the complete opposite response. Teddy the manager was very helpful. He ensured me that not only could we do it, but would make sure we made it to the end of the game so she would get her gift. Her gift was concert tickets, so I just created a letter for her to find. Teddy was nice enough to print it for me and laminate it. The game went great and she was so excited to find her letter. Thank you Teddy and Breakout for helping make my daughter's day so special.

Played the kidnapping room with game master teddy - even with just 4 people we had a great time and finished without needing any clues! The puzzles were interesting and at a couple points where we had the right method/code but something just didn’t work right on the first try teddy made sure to tell us to try it again. Great room overall but I think that particular one would feel crowded with more than 5 people, unless you really like them! ;) will definitely be back for another room soon!

They really have vamped up the clues and prompts from when I first tried this 5 years ago. (Of course that’s hopeful and expected, i get it). But definitely makes you want to do another one

We had a blast, Was in island room. A couple of things need to be fixed to help you along your way. Lights not used on map should be blackened or taped over. Switches in ship cabin needs instructions. We would have solved the clues and gotten out if these items were in correct working order.

Very well done escape room. Gamemaster was helpful without giving much away. A couple little things were off(if you want to be picky) but overall excellent experience. We did the Haunted Mansion room. Not overly difficult. Thematically very engaging.

The staff on 6/15 was rude and very uninviting. I took 7 girls for a fun time. The young lady working the front counter that day was rude, didnt want to answer any questions, barely smiled and was very nasty to the girls from beginning to end. The gentleman that helped us, sort of hurried us along and we paid for our time like everyone else. Just not an overall great experience and wouldnt recommend it to any of my friends and I will not be back.

My family had an awful experience at Breakout Games. We were told not to search in an essential part of the breakout room, where a essential clue was hidden. The person who told us this in question was a lady with pink hair if you want to know. This was the worst BREAKOUT ESTABLISHMENT EVER! PINK HAIRED LADY SUCCCCCKS!!!!

My fiance and I did the Submarine Room and it was certainly the most technologically advanced escape room I have ever done! It was very well decorated too, it looked like we were in a submarine. The staff there were very friendly as well. We had a blast!

Themes and puzzles had potential to be a great room. I have done several rooms around the country, but sadly this was a disappointment. We did the island breakout. One of the clues didn’t work and our game master had to bring in the clue and another they forgot to set up. I recommend going to the downtown Indy escape room, but this was not worth the money.

I can't tell you how much fun we had. We went as a work team builder and you really do have to work as a team in order to get out. We did the Island room. When we arrived we were greeted and made to feel welcome. When we were getting frustrated in the room the same guy would come over the loud speaker and give little hints to help us along the way..never told us what it was but gave us little clues to help us figure it out on our own. It was really an amazing time and I will definitely be going back.

We showed up to Breakout games with a couple hours to kill before our flight. Teddy let us know they were very booked up but he would try to see what he could do. After a short wait he let us know he had one escape room he could set up and run for us in the time we had. It was our first escape room experience and we had a really good time. He helped us along and even though we didnt completely finish in time he gave us an opportunity to try to see a bit more of the room before we had to leave. Overall it was a great experience and will definitely put Breakout games on our list of things to do when we come back to town!

This was an absolute blast!!! Our first time doing an escape room and we were not disappointed. It was much harder than we expected so bring your thinking caps! We booked 2 rooms back to back which I think is a good starting point. One is not enough. Our level of success was not great but we were stubborn and refused clues almost all the way through. Ditch your pride and take a few clues! We will definitely be doing this again!

This was my first experience with an escape room. This was for a 16th birthday and we chose the kidnapping room. It was way more for fun and challenging than I had anticipated. We arrived at 11:15 a.m. (per the instructions) for our 11:30 a.m. game, and no one was there. We watched the employee arrive shortly after . We waited in the lobby for about 20 minutes before he came out. Shortly after, he informed us that our game master didn't show up, so the manager, Teddy, was going to come in. He arrived in another 20 minutes, apologized profusely and was a wonderful game master.

Even though we didn’t get out of either room, we had a blast trying. Also loved the creativity involved in the designs.

My friends and I have been coming here at any chance we get! It's super fun and challenging, and the staffs are awesome! Every room is well thought out and the equipments are up to date. There's a twist and story to every room. Will definitely recommend this place if you wanna have a great time!

Update: After reading the review I posted below, I was contacted by the manager of Breakout Rooms, Indy North. He immediately tried to fix the situation offering my boyfriend and I to come in for another breakout experience that was sure to be better. It was! My boyfriend and I brought two friends to attempt Runaway Train, one of their newer rooms. It was so much fun! There were challenges, hidden clues and everything worked the way it was supposed to. Sofie, our game master, was great too! I am very glad we gave Breakout another go! Big thanks to Teddy Hall for making our Breakout experience better! When I came here for my first escape room ever in 2016, it was awesome! I had so much fun! The next 3 times I went weren't so successful. The second time. It was super easy and there really weren't any surprises. I thought this was because I had gotten really good at escape rooms. The very next day my boyfriend and I decided to attempt another room that we had hoped would be harder. Unfortunately we were disappointed and escaped in 25 minutes. It was revealed that our game master had set the game up incorrectly and we skipped an entire section of the room. No refunds or amends were made. The 4th room I attempted there occured last week. With this room, the game master left out multiple pieces of important information and a lock wouldn't open and they had to just us what was inside. Overall, it's just not worth the money when there are other places that cost $3 more and provide better experiences.

There were lots of codes to open! We did use clues and we just kept trying things and ideas. We will definitely be back!

We did the Mystery Mansion room and it was a lot of fun! Great service, friendly and helpful staff. Our only complaint was that we had some trouble finding the place. We were not familiar with the area and there is no signage on the road you come in on or the back side of the building. We thought the GPS had taken us to the wrong place.

I’ve done a couple of escape rooms before but this one was really fun! The staff is great and are having fun right along side you. We went for a friends birthday and they gave us a little special surprise for her birthday within the room! The price was great too. And I really enjoyed that the rooms are private and you aren’t in there with strangers. There are lots of rooms to choose from. We will be going back.

Have you ever wished you could be kidnapped but only for an hour? This might very well be the place for you. It is a tremendous amount of fun. You would be wise to bring friends who are different from you so you can each bring a different skill set to the table. This is really good practice in case you ever do get kidnapped buy a psychopath who puts together puzzles and riddles and gives you the ability to earn your freedom. Good luck

We love breakout games Indy. They've grown quite a bit from when they first started with more locations and more games. The rooms are always interesting with great props and challenging, yet solvable puzzles/riddles (you may need a clue once in a while if you get stuck). Their rooms are also always private so you don't have to interact with strangers if you don't want to (this changed from when they first started).

I love visiting and playing at Breakout on the north side! I've enjoyed every game I've played and the puzzles can be challenging but are always fun. They're newest game, Runaway Train is high tech compared some of their others and is simply amazing. Mystery Mansion remains a personal favorite because of the theme and how the puzzles require a bit different thinking.

We went to Breakout Games with a group of family (6 of us total) and had a blast! It was challenging and so frustrating at times. They allow hints, but not so much that it takes away from how challenging the game is. Our hints tended to me more of a redirection rather than a hint. We broke out with less than 2 minutes to spare! At first, the price seemed a little steep, but I would definitely come back and do all the rooms they had to offer!
