REVIEWS OF Raging Waves Waterpark IN Illinois

Decker Woods

Got the season passes on sale for 60$ and had an amazing time! Wave pools! Huge water slides! My only issue was my fear of heights while climbing the stairs to the top of the slide.

Nick Smith

Fun place, not too expensive. Bring your own food and picnic at the car.

Amanda Napierala

I have never seen such attentive lifeguards, not one just sat or worked nonchalantly, each one was actively walking, scanning, and searching. The wave pool had extra lifeguards on duty when the waves were on. We went on a hot day and the lines were long and the place was packed but there were plenty of staff/lifeguards and everyone working was friendly and helpful.

Rosie Jacobson

We took our 4 year old and 3 month old and they had a blast. Rented a cabana(alittle pricey but was nice to have chairs and shade) but it did take almost 30 minutes for us to get shown to the cabana by an employee. But the water was clean, grounds were very clean. Will definalty be going back there again.

You don't pay for parking knuckle head!!!! This park is awesome, I have a season pass and always love coming here!!! The only complaint is sometimes it's too busy...hence the awesomeness!!!

Jeffrey Peters

Nice family owned park that still caters to families! Great selection of slides and a state-of-the-art wave Pool.

Patrick Hargarten

Pretty nice place, but way too crowded. We drove over an hour and a half to go there, and didn't get there until 3 - thinking four hours would be plenty of time to hit all the slides a few times. That was our mistake. We purchased the family pack thinking we could just walk right in when we got there (why else would they charge a convenience fee for paying online?), but of course it couldn't be that easy. We had to wait in line for an hour in the hot sun just to get up to guest services and give them our printout for some tickets and wristbands. We have a two year old daughter and since we didn't anticipate waiting this long my group held our spot in line while I went back to the car to get water for everyone. When we asked for a locker we were told they were all sold out. So then we had to go back to our cars to put away our stuff. By the time we got into the park, it was about 20 minutes before they told everyone to get out of the water because there were some clouds above us. No rain, no lightning, just a little bit of wind and a temperature drop. We decided to go use our meal voucher that came with our family package, but after waiting in line at the Raging Dog, we discovered that they didn't have any fries there and we were supposed to redeem our voucher at the Shark Bite restaurant if we wanted our "Bucket O' Fries". At this point they resumed operations and we then proceeded to wait in another long line for food. By the time we got our food it was already 6 (they close at 7) and I had about 15 minutes of time in the water. We ate our food and then only had enough time to go in the lazy river before we had to leave. I had a feeling this place was going to be crowded on a day like this with 94 degree weather, but the lines were ridiculous and management did nothing to make them go faster. My advice to management: get some covering for people who have to wait in line before getting inside, give people a heads up (maybe printed on the voucher) that they should go to the Shark Bite restaurant to redeem the meal voucher if they want fries, and get some more lockers. If you ever decide to go there definitely get there early and try to go on a weekday when there aren't a bajillion people. Only thing I can say is at least they have good fries.

Today there was a severe thunderstorm. Lots of women and kids were waiting in the gift shop building for the heavy rain and lighting to get smaller. One female staff came and shouted:" everyone get out of here". She successfully drove everyone out to the pouring rain and astonishing thunderstorms. So everyone were wet and gathering again at the entrance to avoid the rain and thunder. Another female staff keep shouting "get out of here everyone". It was terrible experience. Those staff didn't show any care or sympathy to their customers in the instance of this heavy thunderstorm. I was so shocked by their rude behaviors. There were so many kids even babies crying in the thunderstorm.

Regular Owl

I had a nice time however the lazy river was crowded and some other people were splashing and not on a raft on the lazy river. The water in the wave area had hair, bugs and a band aid in it. The tube slides were fun, but the stairs were made out of wood and some parts of it bended when me and my family walked on it, making us antsy as we got further up. Finally the staff will only blow a whistle when seeing someone breaking their rules and made no effort to stop the rule breaker from breaking the rules.

Brian Kehl

Great family experience! Prices are a little high, but it's pretty easy to find coupons. Get there early!

Elizabeth Anthony Gronert

Fun family day, Very clean and employees are super kind and helpful. If you have food allergies may want to pack a cooler for the car. Cannot bring food in but can come out to car for picnic.

latasha38r

We had a great time we had this water park was amazing and the kids enjoyed themselves can't wait to visit again

Kayla Wagner

Wonderful place to take kids! So many different slides for little ones under 48 inches!

Rick Higgins

Nice big clean park. Lots of different slides for kids of different ages.

Nicklas Stefanik

This water park is cool, but the lines are usually pretty long. The best slide is PJs Plummet, and that line is pretty short, so that’s good. When in line for one of the tube slides though, it took an extra 30 minutes in line for the to get a bird out of the pool that flew in. The concessions are kind of expensive, but they are very good. The lifeguards are pretty nice too, better than other lifeguards. I don’t like the fact that you can rent a tube in the wave pool though, because while in there I almost got crushed by someone in one. Overall, pretty good water park, would recommend checking it out.

Lily Rodriguez

Raging Waves was quite the entertaining experience. Although, a bit of the workers were not very friendly or welcoming. On the other hand, the slides were worth the wait. The water was very chilly, but it wasn't the warmest or the sunniest day to attend. I suggest Raging Waves on a warm day with the family!

Kieran Durkan

Very good park but the 'q' for food took way too long

askirt heflin

Good fun. Roomy and clean.

Junito Martinez

Found a great deal on groupon and we weren’t let down. First time going and this park is soo big! Lines moved fairly quick on the Tuesday that we were there. Great place to take the family!

Prerak Patel

It's a very great water park! It is Illinois 's largest water park too! You can bring your friends & family to enjoy your day! It's really fun! They got great rides!!

Tabitha Washick

This place is THE BEST I'VE BEEN HERE ITS THE BEST it's a safe place they have great respect and food and it's not a lot of money and have great water slides I love raging waves a lot and it's kinda like a beach because they have sand and if you have tickets then you have it for FREE! They have a lot of seats and they are cumfey I love raging waves a lot.

Brigida Catlin

Water parks are always a good time. Park was clean. Suggest you purchase your tickets before you go because it gets packed with people fast. Definitely recommend a cabana it comes with water, fruit and snacks. Your own chairs and loungers. Wave pool is amazing. Long lines for the water slides. Suggest you ride those first thing when you arrive.

Brian Huonker

Fun place, family friendly. Lots of stuff for kids of all ages. Bring your wallets though for food.

Miguel Garcia

awesome place but very, very busy long wait, and awesome 1/4 of a mile lazy river

Jordan Snow

Been going to this place for a long tine now, and it's still realy fun.

Manda Blackwell

Well it's Illinois largest water park!! We loved it.. Son was if'y bout the big slides, broke that with the cyclone.. Then he was all about the big slides!! We will be going back before we move!!

Juanita Kurth

I liked the lazy river, unfortunately some people don’t grasp the concept. I wish they would only allow people floating in inner tubes on it. No swimmers or walkers! Everything else was fine.

Joyce Kanadet

This place is Awesome!! Soo Much to like!! Got Groupon soo that was Great! ~Staff was Awesome! Always a +!!-People u waited in line with were very Nice!- Christian music playing all around!

Tuma Muusa

This place is the best place to be with children, they have a lot of activities for the kids and adults too.

Budget Productions

I have been there a few times, and it's really fun and clean as well. The reason I give 3 stars is because of the staff and their policies. The staff can be very rude, and always shouting at people. I understand ir can be a hard job but you should at least be kind to people. The other reason is their food policy. Let me say it nice and clear, DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM HERE!! Food is VERY overpriced and not clean. They also won't let you bring food in, so you have to either sneak it in or you have to walk ALL the way back to your car to eat. They should really change this policy. Besides that, grear experience and would recommend going.

Jessica Reed

The lines were long and of course waiting for the tubes took even longer. Its a water park, i get it. The biggest issue i had was with the lifeguards. Multiple lifeguards yelled at groups of people multiple different times for not standing behind the yellow line on the stairs to wait for a tube. Most people had no clue that is what you were suppose to do! And there was no sign telling you to do it! They could have politely asked everyone to move back but instead they were yelling at us. Finally a group of people let her know how rude she was to everyone and she said no i am not and he told her we didnt know thats what we were suppose to do! The lifeguards were more concerned about whether or not people had a green band for the blue tubes and yelling at you than anything else. It kind of put a damper on the fun time with my kids. I understand they may have to put up with rude people but they shouldnt treat everyone like that. Sad part is it was mainly the female lifeguards that were rude! At the end of the platypus one time i was trying to get out of the tube and the lifeguard just continuously kept screaming at me. Maybe instead of screaming at me to get out she could have walked a foot and helped me, instead my daughter helped me while saying to me, she is yelling at you mom. Knowing that this lifeguard determined when the next person went down the slide. It would have took 1 minute of her time to help. If i would have been a smaller kid would she have helped or would she have screamed at the kid like she did me? That to me is just pathetically sad. The lifeguards need a serious pep talk and maybe tell them not to treat people like garbage as well.

We haven’t been to raging waves for a few years and probably won’t be going back for awhile. We went on a Monday thinking it wouldn’t be that crowded but I don’t think that the park expected the crowds. They were completely unprepared. We waited in line for food for almost 30-45 mins with only 3 windows open. When I asked questions about the wait the staff member sarcastically stated that this wasn’t crowded at all. I would hate to see what the busy wait would be. Every line was insane from the ticket/bag line to every ride line. Nothing was being cycled correctly and it seemed like they were just not prepared. We got there at 10:3am and left at 4 and was only able to ride 3 slides, eat and spend some brief time in the wave pool and lazy river. Definitely didn’t get my money’s worth. It’s a shame because my first trip there many years ago was great.

Ashley

Great time, yummy food, long water slide lines

George Pacius

It was okay . Long lines for the rides but I guess that's to be expected on a hot day. Long lines for food though which was not expected. Waited 20 minutes for some microwaved pizza. Some of the patron's are at fault . How can you wait in line 20 mins yet not know what you want when you get to the window? Still they have to expand serving stations or something. Parking was easy , location was easy , staff were friendly.

Jacob Bielanski

Met the owners one time. What nice people! Park is great.

Deena Mora

I like this waterpark. Staff does a great job. My only suggestion is if kids and teens are going to be in the lazy river, they HAVE to have a tube and they NEED to float and be lazy. There is a spot for swimming and plenty of slides. There is no reason anyone should be in a LAZY river unless they want to just relax and float.

Benita Vasquez

We always go here every year great for a family outing

Berthalla Stokes

It's a nice place to go when you want the whole water park experience. Parking is free (well I had a handicap placard.) The food wasn't all that. We had nachos in a bag nd they gave us shredded cheese not the nacho cheese that you would normally get. You can bring your own food but you have to go back to your car to eat it. They would have gotten 5 stars had the food been better.

Sarah Griner

No shade for small children. Parks too spread out to keep track of more than 2 children. Food prices acceptable. Very clean but overall not impresssed.

Krystal Norman

We enjoyed until it started raining but they gave us half a day passes back. Can you say Win!!!

Jody Haley

This place is amazing we couldnt ask for a better day with our familys, place was clean and the atmosphere was delightful, we go every year and will continue to go as long as they are open.thanx for a great day .

Jodi Harrington

Super clean waterpark. We go every single year. Highly recommend getting there early due to crazy lines.

W. Sam Donnell

We had a blast. Tons of slides and fun things for the kids to do. Was really crowded though and the lines were pretty long. But the day we went was busier than normal. Also it seems that they short the amount of innertubes for the slides and lazy river to make you feel like you have to pay to rent a tube. Dumb. Going to be back. Probably getting a season pass next year.

Jon Lebleu

Would give a 5 star to the the amazing water park. But unfortunately their service for food is very slow like noone cares about us (as customers) waited about 90 mins in line at the croc just to order. Then I order food for family they charged me for a souvenir cup, then say just realized we are completely out. Rudely told me I would be refunded back to my card 24-72 hours and denied me a receipt when I asked. Other then that very clean and fun.

Sofia Illiana

Pricey but there is so much to do so I think it's worth it as long as you plan to spend your whole day there! I love the seperate kid area. Lifeguards are very attentive and staff are always walking around seeing if anyone needs anything. When we went it wasn't a super hot day so we didn't have to wait in line long to ride anything. I heard people say it gets packed and you wait in line for an hour but that wasn't our experience

KELLY DWEZ

This place is awesome! My kids love it.

Fernando Gomez

great water park but what I don't understand is I got the summer pass for me and my boys and my wife and it was $100 per person so around $500 I don't remember paying that last year I think I paid less than that so and my opinion it's not worth $500 to go at most three times since we live in the city. So just pay the regular entrance from Groupon and you'll save money and the food's not too expensive either

Amy Mitchell-Flejzor

Well in 3 hours my son went down 3 slides...it was all time waiting in lines for him....I'm not sure if that is the norm since I've only been here twice. My hubs and I had a great time playing with our 2 yr old in the toddler area. Great slides and sprinkler fountains

Amelia Benson

I love this water park, I've been here twice and both times I had a blast. The wait isn't terribly long, and the food is great, the slides are so much fun. It's a great family place to take your kids, and there is something for kids and adults of all ages to enjoy.

Kevin Muller

Had a blast super short lines today it was the best day to be at this water park. The rides are great was not disappointed my nephew of 8 got on the rides more than 6 times in each. He was having so much fun.

nicole mattingly

The worst experience I have ever had. The pavement will burn, blister and tear open your feet. The “lazy river” is more of a walking river or running in some cases. There was no relaxing to it. You are better off going to six flags or Wisconsin Dells. There were so many people there that they were parking in the field across the street. Save your money don’t ever go.

MARIANN VALLE

Waited in line for a hour for 50.00 lunch. Hot dog was not even cooked. Cant bring food in so they comfiscated it and said we coulg get on way out. Staff was eating it and told me it was given to a pantry.

Ruth Koziol

Nice place had alot of fun. But cabanas dont have locking safes to lock up valuables. Farthest restaurant by the farthest cabana closed 3.5 hours before closing and closed bathrooms 2 hours before closing had to go to the other side of the park. Which for little children can be hard to do!!

Melissa Corcoran

Super fun. Huge waterpark. Tons of stuff to do

Adam Gordon

There were a great amount of rides available from baby to adult. Friendly and informative staff. Great pleasure visiting here and will be back again

Chrystal Ryan

Needs gluten free food options especially since you can't bring any food in.Who wants to walk all the way out to your car for a snack because you don't offer anything I can eat.

Maria Carlton

So much to do for babies and toddlers! Their toddler area was wonderful! Our bigger kids loved the slides! We went early to avoid huge crowds and it worked out perfectly!

Pandaneshia Morgan

My favorite part of the water park was the lazy pool. For a person like myself that doesn't swim much it was perfect for me. I let so much time pass by that I was in the pool for over 2 hrs Lol I didn't get a chance to get on the popular rides because the lines were so long, but I enjoyed myself there 100%.

Kasia Danek

Great day. Kid friendly, low key, Reasonably priced.

TiffaniRai

Wait for the slides at the back is horrible!! Waste of time. Cool park. Definitely not worth $33 per person. Go after 3pm pay $22 and don't feel robbed

Mykey Sandoval

Came from chicago with my girlfriend took 2 cta trains a Metra then a uber to get here then wait in line for 20min then find out there sold out of lockers where am I spouse to put my money phone clothes? They said on a bench with a full house of people...we had to go back home I never been here before and wanted to for the longest...raging waves let me down and wasted my whole day getting there and getting back home...not even a apology..

『Strxwbrii』

The reason why I rate this 3 stars is because the STAFF and the long lines, first of all the staff was very Let's just say different from other places I have experienced honestly, when we went to rageing waves and to the lazy river the lifeguards there would YELL except for some this one lifeguard in particular, was yelling at people for no reason I was just trying to grab a floaty and my adult had a wrist band I was grabbing a floaty for me and then the lifeguard yelled at me out of nowhere my adult showed the lifeguard the wirst band she did not even say sorry. Then she was being really annoying. But otherwise it was amazing there were amazing rides my favorite was the wave pool. Although the waves took to long to start up the food wad good to I suggest the bucket 'o fries. I really had fun I highly recommend to go there, it's a really fun place besides the staff and the long lines.

Brian Gleich

Fun water park. Very clean. Looks brand new.

UnShell Felder

Kid friendly environment with alot of rides

Young Koda Bear

Just amazing I would recommend to rent a Cabana very energetic and just all around fun

Maria Bejar

I went super earley for my friends son bday bash it was so much fun i highly recommend earley arrival parking is a little nuts but worth it

Angelina Prince

Great food clean i have a great time every time i go. Worth the drive

Veronica Hernandez

All the rides were fun, and the lines were not bad for a busy day. They serve the Dole whip. I got the twist, which includes pineapple and strawberry, and it was really good.

Jen Jump

Fun place to visit! Cabanas are a must as the other seating arrangements are inadequate. Slide lines are unbearable.

Sarah Bulvan

Great place to go on a hot day for family fun! They have everything for a family fun day. My kids loved the waterslides, wave pool, and even the kiddie area. I loved the lazy river!!

Samya Sibtain

Place was so good Mixture of Wisconsin Dells water parks , We really enjoyed the Day but that would be more wonderful if they offer Muslim and Kosher Meals inside or May be becAuse of Religious diet they should allow families to bring their own food may be with extra charge but they should OR may be they should have some Zabihah Halal options inside so all kind of families would enjoy parks with option of their Food otherwise overall very Nice Place , Very Clean Family Place and nice Staff .

Amelia Benson

I love this water park, I've been here twice and both times I had a blast. The wait isn't terribly long, and the food is great, the slides are so much fun. It's a great family place to take your kids, and there is something for kids and adults of all ages to enjoy.

Lindsey KB

Very clean. A really nice waterpark. Parking lot isn't always to exit, especially during weather closures. Overall, it's probably one of the best places to be during the summer!

Mars R

Awesome fun place!! Food lines too long but other than that awesome family spent day!!

KS M

A good waterpark to come to since there aren't many times choose from in Illinois however I'm from SC and have been to better. There are some slides that were slow and not much to hype about. The food are expensive as you expect. But the people are kind and parking was abundant maybe since we came during the 4th July week. But we used free parking section and were able to bring our own water bottles. They did screen the bags before coming in. The lines were very short and easy to go on rides multiple times! Love this since we rarely get this chance at home! Ice cream was good here too!

Leesa Schroeder

Wow, nice park! We had a blast. Thank you for lockers! Clean place to change too. Had a great day.

sandra colwell

Awesome park but our experience was terrible. They allow you to walk/run on the lazy river, no tube needed. There's nothing lazy about it, kids are playing tag, grown folks cutting lines to steal tubes. Waiting in line for pizza was horrendous, a family of 5 in front of us turned into 20+ people allowing their family members to cut.

Markita Redwell

Definetely not the biggest waterpark in IL. Most of the times overcrowded so you have to wait 30 min in lines to attraction or to get food. No fast lane option. Not sure if I will be back.

Genie Bautista

Good variety of slides for children and adults. Clean and well maintained

Michael Lim ITPT, CPT, MAPsy

Great water park. Would be coming back for more and learned that coming early would be better for parking. Most important of all, my kids had fun which was the main purpose of the visit.

Katherine Gill

Yesterday was a great day overall at Raging waves we have been there 3 times before, but never experienced something like today. We had chosen to go down the pink slide my daughter went before uson the pink one by herself. And her cousin went down the blue one before us. When going down then pink slide my aunt and I were thrown off the raft at the bottom of the slide. The gentlemen at the bottom was more worried were the raft was instead of my aunt or myself, we were uner water i was uner for longer for longer than my aunt. My daughter almost came in after me. It scared her and her cousin who was whith us. ..The guy at the bottom didn't even bother to ask if we were ok.

Darin Fentress

Fun waterpark, friendly employees, and the lines weren't too long. The wave pool is one of the best I've experienced. Nice variety of water slides too!

Shanique Aikens

So many things to do it was so exciting. It's also a great place if you have children they have areas just for kids as well. It's a great place to visit on vacation as well. The best part about it is that it's cost efficient.

Olivia

There is a lot of fun intense rides! Groupon deals are easy to redeem at the entry point! Come early because the parking lot fills VERY fast. To save money, I recommend eating before hand because the food can be a bit pricey.

Kim Fogel

What an awesome water park! There is so much to do. Great rides and not horribly long waits. (But we were there on a Monday, so that may have played a part.) The grounds are clean and well maintained the the staff is SO friendly. I have to say that the very friendly staff really stood out. Every ride worker made sure to greet us. The people working there really looked like they enjoyed what they were doing. My only criticism would be the lack of hooks, shelves, and soap in the shower area (both men's and women's). It's very difficult to shower there without dumping your items onto the wet floor. (Can't imagine doing that well with small kids.) Otherwise, Raging Waves is a fantastic place to spend a hot summer day with your family.

Jamie Rudder

Was fun! Few tips, they let many people in with food, at the security area, even though it says none allowed. You can rent your own tube to bring into wave pool after 3pm. They have more then enough coast gaurd approved life jackets for everyone. Food was good and easy on the pocket book.

Shanique Aikens

Sarah Evans

A nice local place to bring the kids. Overcrowded at times understandably so....but they can really buy more tubes! LOL!

Michael Lesniewicz

Awesomely Great!!! Love all the options for slides!!! Love how they keep the place so clean!!! The staff does a great job!!! They are friendly and helpful!!!

Gina Gentilini

Convenient location for me. The waterpark is very clean and runs smoothly. We love the lazy river and wave pool. There are plenty of seats. We bought passes for remainder of 2019 and 2020!

eva vasquez

Best water park ever we go there every year

Cameron& RoryVs lily

This place is amazing so many fun rides however you have to wait in long lines for some of them the is a wave pool and a kiddy pool and their is a good price fun for everyone

cooper l

Super clean, everybody there was very nice. I know it's Illinois largest Waterpark but it seems like everything was a little spread out and there is a lot of walking from one ride to the other. The only thing I was not a fan of is the drink options are strictly Pepsi very few if any choices for healthy beverage options.

marcov981

Nice rides. Not much variety but the rides are cool. Lines can be long so be ready

joe krebasch

Fun clean troop 65 scouts had as great time

Piper Fortner

unfortunately only one free-swim pool and it gave out a 5-minute sequence of waves every ten minutes. the rest is boring waterslides. Also, the lazy river was running but closed. the staff in the restaraunts were messy and unorganized. Two of the rides with the best feedback were closed. The lifeguards don't pay attention. I saw a little boy almost drown in the wavepool, until he called for help multiple times and his mother made it over to him. the only thing the lifeguards pay attention to is people roughhousing. also there is a solid 2 hours where you can't use inner tubes in the wave pool. the whole place is inconsiderate to customers. the concrete is scorching hot, and there aren't any water fountains. so if you're thirsty, you can either drink chlorinated water that's most likely 30% urine, or you can buy an overpriced water bottle. they try to get you to spend as much money as possible. you have to pay money to rent an inner tube unless you have a blue bracelet. the lack of water fountains is just plain evil. what if someone didnt bring a wallet or can't afford a $5-$10 water bottle? what if they got dehydrated and passed out? especially in the wave pool. you could drown in that. above all this, though, i had a great time with my family. i am happy we went here. with all it's imperfections, i know that they're trying. my favorite part: the fact that safety is their top priority. of you come here, though, bring extra cash for water and food. Thank you, Raging Waves, for giving us the high note to end our family vacation.

Brianna Dracousis

Great place for 8 yrs old or older to be on their own while parents sit back. Tailgate for eating under out of the park shade trees. $$value is great for all day fun.

Teresa Jaquez

We love this waterpark! The kids look forward to it every summer. It's so close to home.

Olivia

Adan Flores

The waterpark is so amazing they have a bunch of rides some fast and other's slow they also have so many unique foods.

Jacob NegRay

Long lines, even bought my tickets online and still had to wait in a long line. The food court has 6 windows and only 3 open that took 30/40 minutes alone. They left the bathroom door locked up open so everyone could stand and watch you use the facility. Mind you one toilet and urinal in the bathroom. Horribly long lines on the slides total mismanagement of how to run them productively. The lifeguard manager lady was more worried about if a person was standing on the other side of the rope out of peoples way looking for a kid that got separated in the river.... no big deal I'll just stand out of the way and wait out of peoples way tried to explain the situation and would not talk about it till I went back on the other side of the rope because that is what was important at the time. Not worth the time or money

Ryan Trausch

Best waterpark in Illinois. Slides and places to have fun all over the park for everyone.

M Pointer

Fun place. Come there when it just opens and were sun screen.

Shanyce Henley

It's as fun as a waterpark can be but don't forget anything because the prices are outrageous. So bring towels, flip flops, and one of those water proof cases for phones you can find them on Amazon for $8 for two. They are $20 here. Also the lockers fill up fast so make sure you get one quickly.

Sujay Patel

Just had a wonderful time at this water park! Buy your tickets on Groupon to save $5 plus tax per ticket. I would recommend going to this water park on Sundays as it’s way less crowded than Saturdays. Way better than Six Flags if you are looking for just water park experience. Will visit again!

It is very fun and a great set. The lines can get long some days, but overall great memories.

David Tapia

Love it wish i had money to take my little tike again. Oh well maybe next year

This is a great place to take the family. It's family owned, operated and oriented. There are many water slides, for all ages along with a lazy river and wave pool for those that just want to chill out. Military and retired military get in for free with your ID card, so don't forget it. They have cabanas and "nests" for rent, which allows you some shade and a place to leave your stuff. They do not allow outside food and drink, so you will either have to go to your car to eat or buy lunch inside the park. We got discount tickets at Costco, which also saved some money. Our "all in" cost, including a nest, lunch, treats, etc. was about $400 for ten of us, which by park standards, is a good deal.

Eric Nelson

Great, Clean, Huge water park with enough to keep busy all day,... Only downside lines can get long but everyone had freay time Well worth it!!!

Christopher M.C.

Fun, fun, fun! Great time with the family. Staff was helpful and very friendly. Prefect day. Awesome weather. Can't wait for next year.

I was very upset, this was my first time visiting and I drove over an hour to get there. Upon arrival I found out that a handful of water slides were closed, as well as the LAZY RIVER!!! The best part of any water park, and to top it off, we had two restaurants to choose from to eat because the rest of them were also... CLOSED. I know it's late in the summer (we visited on 8/16) but wow that's just unnecessary. I believe summer goes till at least labor day. When I asked why everything was closed I was informed that there wasn't enough staff since the kids went back to college. Something tells me this isn't the first time this has happened. Wouldn't you plan accordingly?! I feel that for the amount of money I paid I really got ripped off not being able to experience the whole park. It's just sad because I was really excited to go since they advertise it as Illinois largest water park.

Francesc Borrull

Very clean, not too overcrowded. Kids pools are excellent. Some rides have very long lines, others don't. Food is very expensive and junk. They don't let you bring your so be prepared. Overall 5 stars. At least come once a year!

Dave Benton

There is a ton to do here. The two big downsides though is that there is a lot of walking on hot concrete (bring water shoes). Second there are a lot of people and the lines for some of the rides can take a very long time. Unfortunately some of the shorter lines such as the Plunge share stairs with Cyclone and it takes forever to get people to realize there are two lines even though it keeps saying it over the speaker.

I have come for the last 3 years. This year was the only year I have had a bad experience. We went down the pink slide and my niece and I went together and when we got to the bottom we were thrown off the tube. We went under water and was there for a couple minutes. I got up and the guy that was there was more worried about the tube than us. When I got up I had to pull my niece up out of the water. S but e had to sit on the side of the pool side for a couple minutes. The guy didn't even ask if we were ok. My great nieces were with us and they went down before us and was ready to get back in the water to help us. It was around 12:30 that we were on that slide. It made us not really want to go down that one again.

Amy Gomes

Always something for every age group. Visited with 2 yr old niece, 12 yr old daughter, and 16 yr old son. Plenty of areas for the young ones and many waterslides to choose from. Dole Whip pineapple strawberry cone is refreshing! Food is reasonably priced considering it is a tourist attraction.

Marianela Torres

Kid's and myself enjoyed ourselves very much fun place for family and kid's

Alejandro Ruiz

Nice place to enjoy the day with the family. My kids loved it.

Thepowerthatcreatesworlds Vibrating Being

Great all day place pack a lunch you can reenter the park at will..

Andy Barford

Finally its warming up,love this place ,need to go with at least 2 people and 1 ride required 3 for balance. Or ask a group to adopt you and enjoy the plunge!!!

It was a great outing for the family. We choose this over our usual Main Waters trip since Six Flags purchased them (way too expensive now). The lazy River was great (about a 10-12 minute trip around). The sand area was a surprise & we camped out there, under the sun sail. Foods prices are what you'd expect; a little pricey for the quality, but several choices for the family. However, I'd like to see some vegan options. The only complaint for the day was the food lines. Many of them moved really slowly. But overall, a great trip for the day. We'll be back next season.

Ronald Soria

Took my nephew and the family there for his birthday and he loved it! Large water park with everything from cool slides, a wave pool, and plenty of kids water attractions. Those Doritos taco bowls are GOOD

Dan Thiel

The park is incredibly clean and there is so much for everyone to do. The parking is free or only $10 for preferred right up front. The food is the cheapest I’ve ever seen at an amusement park. The landscaping and everything is very nice and clean. We highly recommend Raging Waves for a fun family day!

Susan Finley

Beautiful water park! Good food, friendly staff. A great family friendly place for all ages.

Tiffany Cox

Big park with plenty to do! They keep it clean and are friendly. They played Christian music while we were there and I loved that!

Scott Fogel

Nice, clean, and well kept. All the employees we encountered were smiling and everyone greeted us and asked if we were having a good time or said, "have fun". The food WASN'T outrageously expensive and the tickets and lockers were a decent value. Both allowing you to go in and out as needed. I really liked the wrist bands for locker access. My main complaint is that the locker rooms and showers were mostly useless. They were clean and we'll kept, but there was no soap for the showers or anywhere to put your stuff while you showered. No hooks, benches, or shelves.

Cedric Johnson

Great water park many of choices food prices very reasonable really enjoyed it will come again make sure you bring no outside food it will be donated drinks as well only downfall are the lines are long so make sure you come early also limited picnic tables bit you can eat in the parking lot bring a blanket and some chairs

Mary Ann Winters

Really a great waterpark, clean, friendly & helpful staff. There are loads of slides, shoots, fantastic wave pool & a really long lazy river. I am sure I missed somethings there is just so much! Arrived with grandchildren before noon & left at 5:30. Time flew, good value & the food was reasonable.

Loved it. They have group pricing! Hey the more the better

Enoon Enoon

Fun way to spend a full day. Can get deal on groupon for $26 during summer or $15 not on their busy days. If it rains you get another ticket for another day for free. Actually worth the money of you spend full day here even at full price. The ride attendants tend to do opposite of what you tell them. If for example you say you dont want your back towards slide they will say ok but twist tube to scare you...guess it makes the ride more memorable. You can finish all rides in 1 day.

David Griffith

Love to go with the kids to have fun in the sun. Not to long of a wait to go on water slides ect.worrh the price and then sum

Jesse Fugitt

Slides and wave pool are great. End of year season passes are a good deal. Beware of Bubba the alligator!

EM M

Other than the confusing Australian theme, the water park was clean, fun, well staffed, and very kid friendly. The only downside was the food, which is overpriced and unhealthy. The cabana did come with some fruit, which was great. If water parks are your thing, or you want a fun activity for a large group, this is a good option.

Stanko Aglikin

Took the whole family for 4th of July there. Nice and clean water park. Staff are friendly.

Mandy KidsTv

Clean, nice and huge place. Raging wave water park is the best! Great for family fun day.

Coach T

Fun place, lot to do. Wave pool can become a little tedious (like most) and the locker situation is a little annoying. Don't understand the point of spending money for the blue tubes when you have to hunt for them just like the clear ones. But overall it is a great place to cool off on a hot day.

Taylor Childers

This place is expensive but very fun. Lots of options for three year olds and adults. We also got complimentary tickets for another day after they had to shut down mid day due to thunderstorms. However their parking lot has only one exit so it took over an hour to leave since everyone left at once. Not to mention there was so much rain that the exit drive was under a foot and a half of water.

Emily Sierra

My three friends and I were able to ride on the boomerang together, however, we were told to split up on the crocodile mile... a little upsetting, cause we were under the weight limit. Also, lifeguard Nick at the Wonambi ride was a little.. weird. He tried to be funny when these kids couldn't get down the ride, but he was like "And that's my problem..? Get unstuck." Oof

Scott A Lagger

Very pleasantly surprised how much fun this place is. Kids loved it. Especially the wave pool.

Colin Sauer

Excellent spot for all ages. Reasonable food prices, good lifeguards and clean areas.

Jawad Shahid

Very Nice Place in Illinois. Kids love to stay longer and enjoy alot

Rick Carlson

For what it is and is busy as it was we had a good time but as far as I'm concerned nothing beats my boat and a lake to swim and fish

Thomas Sedlacek

Has many water rides, a wave pool and sun bathing areas. Suggest bring water shoes as concrete is both hot and rough.

This was a great day trip for the kids. Was unfortunate they made us get out of the water due to wind with only an hour and a half left til close so we were only able to ride one slide each and use the wave pool which was super crowded but expected for a Saturday. Lines were starting to clear up about 430 but as we were going to the next slide they called us out because they thought a storm was coming in. No lightning just cloudy with a strong breeze. Kids said theyd go back, I think next time it'll be during the week.

Juan A Gonzalez

Always great to visit and friendly staff. Great lifeguard personnel and take thier duties very seriously.

Owww Mike Hunt

Hello, I had recently gone to your establishment to enjoy my day off from my father's funeral the day prior. I was happy to finally get some form of happiness but was greatly disappointed. I had gone to ride the sisters and while trying to exit the ride I was stuck in the tube and was constantly told to exit the tube but I honestly couldn't. I had my dear son try to help me out of the tube but still couldn't, it wasn't until the lifeguard had to deflate the tube that I could finally exit the pool. I believe the park should fit the tube to everyone's personal body type. I wish I could say this was the end of the bad service but sadly I can't. While walking to purchase some food I saw a woman walking with her bosoms out. It was a surprise but a welcomed one, and got immediately erect and was on the brink of climaxing. After I got a little excited a trail of kids came by and laughed at me for my little stump. Lastly I thought the food was magnificent it was on par with taco bell, however when trying to consume the godlike quality of the cuisine I had fowl bowel movements and was scowled at by multiple parents for the Hiroshima that was my farts and was promptly asked to leave. However I did clog the toilet and wasn't kicked out five stars.

Jessica V Cortes

Friendly staff and super clean facilities. Our family loves coming here!

Yundee Yngson

All i can say is its clean..... Very clean! Great family place! Worth the drive!

Dan Duffey

The water park is amazing! I have gone there multiple times this summer, and never have had more fun! This water park features great staff, watchful lifeguards, awesome slides, and good food. My only warning is: when it is packed, you can expect long food lines, long slide lines, and very crowded seating areas. It is to be expected from such a popular place. An amazing experience!

Peggy Jenner

Clean, very well run!! The staff was friendly and courteous. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Sherry Jeffers

My son and I visited this waterpark for the first time today. What a great place to go for some water fun! Pros: Free parking, if you don't mind a slight walk. Absolutely fun waterslides! (Although, just like amusement parks...your child/ren has/have to be greater than 42-48 inches tall to be allowed to go on the slides). The place is landscaped beautifully, and well-kept cleanliness-wise. Big, well-watched by the guards wave pool (a young lassie in the shallower section swallowed some water, and they were in the water in an instant making sure she was ok). And, the food (what little we had), was good. Cons: today is August 16th. From my calculations, there are still at least 18 days left before most pools/waterparks close, and not all kids are back to school yet.It was decently busy for a Friday in the 'back to school' season. I was surprised (and rather disappointed) that the lazy river was closed, due to 'understaffing issues' because the college kids on staff were heading back to school. My son (he's 15) and I both felt, that it would've been nice to be able to float around on that for a while in between all of the walking from the slides to the wave pool to take a break, but still enjoy the water. Also, the 3 body waterslides were closed, and looked as though they hadn't been operated in months, if not years. I don't know about other budget-conscious parents, but if I'm going to spend money on something...I'd like to be able to get the full experience. The least the park could do is offer a slight discount to patrons if they know in advance that parts of it aren't going to be operational due to lack of staff. Or, plan ahead, since folks are paying a pretty decent price per head to visit, and make sure that they have coverage for the times when they know that some of their own staff are going back to school, yet they still won't be closing for a few more weeks. Or, post updates on their website, or SOMETHING. In my eyes...that's just business practice that's not up to par.

Steve Leve

A lot of slides, prices are very reasonable. Park is very clean. We went on a weekday and the lines were really short, got to ride a lot of slides. Weekends are quite a bit busier.

Nadia Wilkins

Great family place for all ages! Large parking lot. No outside food allowed. They do have small lockers for $10.00, Large ones for $15.00. Plenty of seating!

Eric Da Garzster

What a truly wonderful place for waterpark enjoyment. Don't quite understand about the whole inflatable tube thing. Kinda dumb to think about it. But people still go and it was nice.

Gretchen Peters

Beautiful, clean, and fun water park!! Cannot say enough about the staff. Whether it was the lifeguards at the rides or guarding the lazy River, to a person they were friendly, engaging and professional. Becky in particular made our day with her attitude and friendly style with our family. More places should hire and train in the manner of Raging Waves. We rented a Cabana on the lazy River the service was excellent and fast, I only wish the service went beyond 3 pm. The rides are great fun and wide variety for all ages! Highly recommend this for a family event!! Tip : the cement can get hot so bring water shoes or cheap flip flops to wear when walking around.

Susan Medina

This is the best waterpark I've been to. It has everything you want in a waterpark without being overwhelming. It is easy to get to and parking is never a problem. They offer VIP parking for a small fee or plenty of free spaces. They have all age groups covered with two kiddie areas, a wave pool, lazy river and 11 water slides. You can rent your own raft for the day as well as a cabana for privacy and shade. There are plenty of food spots and snack shacks. I purchase a Groupon every year at a reasonable price. This park is well worth your time and money!

Mr. Spraggs

I will never come to this park again. I don't like how the staff run things, when it is crowded. People that already paid and wanted to re-enter the park was stalled re-entry. Lines for the water slides were slow. To get inside the park took too long and it was HOT! The price to enter the park is too much. The price don't add up to the fun. There are smaller water parks that are priced cheaper and more fun.

TLP

It's fine. Don't order food from the food courts. It's packed with loads of salt.

Ingrid Durham

Raging Waves is clean, well organized, and fun. There is something for everyone.

Stephanie Hogan

It's so crowded! It's also really fun! Lots to do! Different spots to hang out. I'd bring food in a cooler tho, the lines get ridiculous and there are not a lot of spots to eat.

Jennifer Botica

Our family had a terrific time and the staff was very nice and accommodating. Ours sons have Autism and both had a great time! We will definitely be coming back!

EliteNerd

Easily the best watermark in Illinois, very friendly staff and clean as well

Lori Weakley

Has a great time with the grandkids. Was a little bit shocked on the admission, but to have the time and see the happiness it gives to my grandchildren, I would pay it again.
