REVIEWS OF Magic Waters IN Illinois

Jessica Cartwright

Accessible water park! We were thrilled to use the waterproof and floating wheelchairs during our visit this last week. If you know someone with mobility needs in the area, this is the park for them! My son with physical disabilities loved being about to play with his siblings and participate in everything. Our family had a blast together. We will come more next summer!

Samantha Embrey

We have season passes to both 6 flags and magic waters. It has been completely worth it. The kids have a great time we spent most of our summer here. The dining pass is the best deal! Pays for itself in only a couple visits. The best days to go are when the weather is looking a little iffy. A slight rain clears the park out and is a perfect time to stop and eat. I can't wait to see what six flags does in with the park in the up coming years. Hopefully they add more food options like six flags has. Wouldn't mind seeing a water coaster brought back.

Douglas Vaughan

Solid way to blow $300.00. Ticket prices advertised $19.00 when booked in advance with the smaller "starting at" up there in the corner. So for a Thursday at the end of July the savings amount to $3.00 a ticket. Fine, oh by there's a $9.00 per order "processing" fee. BRILLIANT. Spent the $$ for a cabana which was convenient and comfortable once they bothered to power the fan. Food and drink are stupid expensive. Overall it's a small park pricing itself as a major attraction. Maybe Six Flags will expand the park to fit the asking price. We went because we were in the area for another reason. This is NOT a destination on its own.

Jim Anderson

Magic waters is a great water park, my only complaint is that since Six Flags has taken over, everything has gone up in price especially admission and now they even charge for parking!!

Piper Lindhe

This place could be awesome. The rides are good, the lines are usually pretty short. The issue I have is it has been dirty every single time i've gone. In the past it was cleaner. I don't want to swim where there is floating wrappers, flip flops, etc. Edited to add: we went for the first time since Six Flags took over and I can definitely tell a difference! Park is much cleaner, love the "help yourself" soda station so you don't have to wait in line. They really need to add a few more snack/food stations though to accommodate the meal plan.

Vanessa Cruz

So much fun!! If you have a bottle from Great America bring it with you fet free refills here too!!!

Kristina Castillo

Same place. Different name. Higher prices

Steve Jergensen

This place needs some love. Not what I remember when we went there 4 years ago before six flags owned it. The wave pool was not working and was freezing. The bottom of the lazy river was dirty and clearly needs refinished. We tented a Cabana and the cable box is not activated. Could not even use TV , and they changed their policy on brining in food into the Cabana. We bought subway ahead of time, and they made us bring it back to car. Good memory with kids, but probably will not be going back unless we here of major overhauls.

Shari Loyd

Nice Water park. The food and drink prices are over priced. A bottle of water over $5.00. Liked it much better when Rockford Park District owned it.

Why Doyou

Not sure what kind of crack Six Flags is on with jacking the prices up on a place that isn't surrounded by alot of money. Takes 45+ min to get food, pricing is a rip off, and nothing new to show for it.

Richard & Letty Pry

Season pass your best bang for the buck. I'm only visiting so I spent for the day passes for family but was thanked afterward by all of them

Andrew Cuming

It's a decent water park. Small but lines aren't too bad. I wouldn't plan to come too often but still nice.

PH HACKER

It’s fun and all but I hate the Food because it’s overprice and also the swimming water is so dirty.

Erin Vingers

Don’t waste your money (which it will cost a family of 4 $170.00 for parking and basic admission). It’s such a joke of a Waterpark. Spend the extra time in the car and go to Wisconsin Dells; it will cost a small fraction of the price and any park will be better than this over priced cesspool with slides. If I could have given it less than 1 star I would have! I will never waste my time and money at this place EVER AGAIN! I’m also going to make sure everyone in Janesville, Wisconsin and everyone else I know or meet that they should do the same.

Nakita Benjamin

Fun way to cool down. Season passes are worth it. Six flags has plans to do much needed improvements, so next season will be even better!

Joaquin Love

I recall they had a location back then when I was a little child so yeah rest in peace the original Magic Waters Place you'll be missed

gamer casey 123

This was our first experience at Magic Waters. Granted we had a terrific time. One thing that really needs to be improved is the wait time at the food line. They were terribly understaffed, so it took about half an hour to get served. The food prices are very high so it's best if you get a food pass. I would recommend getting a season pass so you can enjoy this facility and Great America.

Abbigail Rogers

Awful prices! Awful spacing! There were way to many people there! The only time we wanted to try to go down a water slide - we saw 30 people budging. They got up the whole line with out anyone saying anything until they got by us, we weren't letting them pass with out a fast pass!

Nicholas Hinderliter

$39.99 for anyone 2 years and older. Outrageously overpriced. Six Flags is a blight on that park. They should be ashamed of their greed. Shame on Rockford for allowing this to happen.

K. M. Campbell

We were here years ago, and had recently hoped the merger with 6 Flags would've helped fund an upgrade to the facilities within the park. Nope. Just another cash-grab by 6 Flags. Take the money and run, is the order of the day, it seems. Here's a cost-comparison regarding the food prices: a good-quality meal of burger, fries and a coke cost about $14.00 in downtown Chicago, at an upscale gastropub. Now, here comes the horror....just one cheeseburger (minus fries and Coke) ran us $15.50 at the food court. Wow! Listen up 6 Flags, there is definitely something wrong when your single burger in a mid-size city costs more than an upscale meal in downtown Chicago. We won't be back here. Much better to support our local community, and buy food here than at your overpriced, under-cooked mediocre attraction that you bought out, and refuse to modernize.

Lehia Johnson

I'm a little disappointed that the cost went up seeing nothing major changed. Overall my children were happy

Fabiola Garcia

Tickets are over price rather dive 2.5 hr to go to Wisconsin Dells and only pay $20 and they have more attraction to enjoy.

Maria Mineau

Since it has been taken over by six flags it’s you pay more for less. The customer service is ridiculous. They have kids manning it who have no clue what to do and they have to bring in a supervisor which you have to wait for additional 20 minutes for and they still don’t have any actual answers for you. I waited in line to get a snack and was there approximately 25 minutes and when I got to the front of the line the kid tells me that he has to close the window and I need to go to the other line which had another long wait. This place is not what it used to be. Don’t waste your $$ or your time.

Anna and Emily Mennella and Kinney

Staff and lifeguard s are really nice and great water slides and last it has great drink snacks and food

No whites

It's fun but the bathroom is nasty has pee on the floor and really small stalls

Joe Thomas

I was having quite the woopseepop until a gent by the name of Nico said, “How may I help you.” I was flabbergasted. I mean what was that shampoo scent. It obviously had a hint of shay butter and canola oil, but was it lavender or lemongrass?

Amanda Jennings

Staff was friendly and fun all day. The amazing first aide guys helped me find one of the boys who had run off to go on a slide. I was panicking, but they did an awesome job and we found him in 10 minutes although it seemed like two hours! Thank you!

Bella Quinlan

They seem like they still have a lot to work out. We were told to go 4 different places to get our gold pass cup before finally being directed to the right place. On the second visit my son waited 30 minutes for nachos because they had to "warm up the cheese". The food is better but takes a long time to get anything. The water isn't as clean as it used to be in previous years. I'm still giving 4 stars to be lient of the transition to new ownership.

Maria Ramirez

GREAT PLACE TO SWIM

TheRandomOnes 23

Our last experience was fantastic. The weather was nice and the waterpark was lots of fun

Luis Serna

Great place to come with your family with, and pls make sure you try their avocado cheeseburger its very good.

Lamar Baker

Small park but actual is decent.

Ethan Underwood

As long as you don't sit in the sun too long. Super fun for the family

Chara Gamer Butterfly

Too expensive I dont like that they linked with 6 flags but besides that love it

Citras Flava

price is steep but worth it if you return. Food is around 10 bucks a piece or you get some kind of 30+ dollar food pass. Does not open at 9 like google says it opens at 10:30

Zandra Schultz

Very dirty! Service was awful out of food, no condiments. Kids goggles were stolen. Very run down. Bathrooms were awful dirty gross! Prefer Six flags Hurricane Harbor! Will not be returning

Balasubramanya Gokere Satish

Land and Water rides are amazing especially the newly opened Maxx Force.

Kellie Peterson

The 1 star I gave it is over stated. Now being a Six Flags property I was expecting way more than received. First, our season passes wouldn't work. That took about 30 mins to correct as the scanner wasn't working. We arrived about 30-45 minutes after they opened. Family changing room had no toilet paper. Wave pool is disgusting!! The debris floating in the pool is gross (coins, Bobby pins, grass and leaves). Waited 1.5 hours in line just to order pizza. Cashier had no clue how to use dining pass and while trying to order proceeded to ask about what time she was getting off. Staff couldn't keep up with order demands so waited another 30 minutes after placing order to get food. Garbage cans overflowing throughout the park. Screaming lizard was closed entire time we were there (left at park close). Cabanas along the lazy river look like horse stalls that are about to fall over. Dumpsters overflowing with trash in parking lot. In my opinion, Six Flags should of done something before opening this property. Definitely not up to their standards and I will never return here. It was a dump.

Sue and Ron Krug

This place is ridiculously expensive for a rundown and filthy water park with not near enough nice water rides. Food is over priced, bathrooms are nasty. Sorry, but this place is a disgrace for an affiliate of Six Flags.

Danielle DeFauw-Brooks

First time there, used my season pass. The lazy river is the best lazy river ive experienced. The place was fun, food was a little expensive but other then that a great time

Sacred Tiger

My family and I are locals and came every summer. Since 6 Flags bought Magic Waters things are way over priced now!! It cost 130 for a family of 4 for 2 and a half hours. What happened to the after 3 price??? Parking price was not a thing until 6 Flags. Took us over 30 mins to get into the park, due to the employee struggling with the card reader while we were trying to pay for parking. He tried to contact others to get help but nobody responded to him, he eventually let us through. Ticket booth also took forever and we got 2 tickets printed wrong and they made us go around. We got attitude and disrespect from another employee while getting through the other entrance when we explained our problem. Screaming Lizard ride also scratches up your back. It is painful and a hazard.

Samantha Embrey

Fun enough time but same park for extreme prices unless you plan ahead to get the library free tickets for the kids, pay $7 more than last year for your own ticket, NOT eat, NOT park ( have someone drop you off) bring empty water bottles so you don't have to pay $6 a bottle. Am a Rockford native and remember parking for free, bringing in own food and drinks and you could always get in for $12 on 12 buck Tuesdays. Six Flags will lose on this deal unless they #1 lower prices and #2 increase standard and quality of rides and food. A little bit of info six flags, this is NOT a Chicago suburb. This is a blue collar area and if you lose the natives you lose the park. Natives will NOT be buying Six Flags memberships for every member of their family and those who have memberships from other areas will find the quality subpar to other Great America parks. This is a small park that needs lots of work to be improved. You made a wrong move more than doubling the price for the exact same experience. You underestimate the intelligence if these blue collar natives of Rockford who have kept this park going for years.

Q B

My goodness! They link up with six flags and now everything cost. This was a very nice and reasonable place to take your family. I’ve been going to this place since 1999 and last year was the only year we didn’t go. I get on their website to book for a group trip as I do all the time for 30 people and not only did the tickets go up by $5 or more but it also cost to park there as well. It was fun while it lasted

Ryan Kessler

Have been here a few times and enjoyed spending time with the family. Same park, partly different name, higher price tag. $16.00 for a cheese burger, are you serious?! Bring your own food in a cooler, leave it in the car and eat out there. SAVE the $.

Jeremy Flanagan

Great day at the park! Great staff! Accommodating, friendly.

Lily Cruz

I was there on Sunday, July 7, 2019 I'm an Elite six flag member which of course this place knew nothing about! They didn't know where prefer parking was for members - they did not have member sitting as well. The food stand couldn't give me 50% of anything because their cash register could not calculate discount amounts. This place its not what it used to be- I am glad we had passes because there was NO WAY I would of paid the ENTRANCE PRICE AT THE GATE - THIS PLACE IS A DUMP.! The Managers were unprofessional and untrained for their positions! I am glad I didn't pay the GATE PRICE!!! GARBAGE, DIRTY, WATER WAS NOT CLEAN, BATHROOM SMELLED LIKE DIRTY DIAPERS, THE FOOD WAS COLD! NOT WORTH IT!

Lightning Sprague

I Loved the screaming lizard so fun!

Matt L

So much cleaner bow that six flags has taken over. It's finally a place for great family outings again.

Robin M

Loved it years ago before it got so packed

Jenny Hanson

Today the wave pool was not running and therefore because the purple and orange slides are connected they weren't running either. Otherwise good.

Amy Rutledge

The place is a little run down but has what you want there. It took a long time to get our food and this was at 2pm. But the slides are fun, the Lazy river is awsome and the wave pool a blast. Will definitely be back. Hoping Six Flags will spruce it up a little for next year.

Jonathan Schmidt

The water park was bice and clean and tge life guards were very friendly and caring

Amy Fisher

Our first time. I was with my 4 year old and some friends. The water in multiple area was so full of debris from leaves and other? I was shocked how unkept it was. I have no desire to go back.

Daniel BS

Now that Six Flags runs the place the food has improved and the park is more clean.

Daniel Lazar

Water was cold. Lines enormous. Waited 3 hours in line for sandwiches for my kids. They said that they are short staffed. Very disappointing.

Latisha doyle

Had a great time, fun place for the whole family.

Nora Hurst

Had some fun but did not buy any food there because it cost way to much for so little of it and someone bought a pizza with hair on it......soooo always take a cooler and your own food and snacks

mary wright

Lasr day the park was open and they did not have the wave pool working. I waited 2 and a 1/2 hours in the food line. Very disappointing Labor Day

Lupita Monsivaiz

Was awesome for being first time

Juan Avila

Fun slides. Great food. Awesome staff.

Teresa Esteves

Years ago I came to this place and it was very good now I return and the facilities look a bit old without renovations the dirty wave pool a bit disappointed but we had fun anyway.

K Bradley

There are a decent amount of attractions without being overcrowded for the space. The water is a refreshing temperature without being cold. However, there is room for improvement in the dining realm.

anthony villarreal

Good, but needs more rides and some more extravagant ones as well.

Avonte

Pretty fun. Great deal with the membership subscription! Friendly attendants and the life guards or on their toes!

Stephany Alakroush

They did not have VIP parking! When asked they said there was none and then VIP seating at pool was only 10 chairs and anyone can sit there ! It does not matter if you reserve parking or seating or not they don't honor it !

Janessa Shaw

It's a great place to have alot of fun. It's unfortunate that there was so much stuff floating in the water. Leaves and things from the trees or plants. Maybe need better filters

Mike Brown

A lot of fun! Very expensive!! I went all the time when I was younger and the Park District ran it, and it was cheaper to get in... This last time I only went for a company outing, so I got in free, but I only bought a refillable cup, because I knew I would get my money's worth!!!

Sasha Anderson

I wasn't able to enjoy myself (pregnant)

Michelle Velasco

This is a nice park and the set up is good. The park could use some clean up and maybe a few updates. Prices are a little high for food $ drinks. Overall it was fun.

Mike Hogue

Since Six Flags took over the general cleanliness has gone up.

Laurie Malina

Nice place to spend a day! Only thing wrong is they need to clean wave pool too many leaves

Meredith Heinrich

Looks like there starting to make improvements. You're sixflags season from gurnee works at the location as well. I have been there 3 time and have had a great experience.

Charlotte Huber

Everything was awesome. The food was good. The rides were so much fun and catered to everyone that was in our party. If there was a problem it was quickly resolved. Going back is a definite.

Nicholas carter

Cute and small! Just be sure to avoid weekends or you'll be in for decent waiting lines!

Squid Tube

So nice to let my poor mom use the wheelchair with her broken foot. Made it much easier for her.

Natalie Lopez

A Really Nice place for the family to spend time together. But they should add more food stands. And they should fix their bad services when it comes to the food stands.

TinaT5193

Season/food passes bought for the first time this year. The food pass has already paid for its self in just 2 visits!

James Kind

A very well run place, but could use some new rides too

Rosario Graves

Fun place for adults and kids, very nice and well taken care of.

Larry Handel

Its been a tradition with my family to go every year. However, Magic Waters hasn't had the best upkeep.

Alex Reed

I dont come here often but when I do I have a great time

Alexz Da gamer

I love it tiki island was closed for a little but it's the best!

MIKEY D DUMP LORD

MAN... THIS USED TO BE THE BEST PLACE TO GO (ASIDE FROM BOBBY Fs POOL) TO BEAT THE HEAT ON A DAY LIKE TODAY. I CAN REMEMBER GOING HERE AS A YOUNG BUCK AND ROCKING THE PARK WITH THE BOYS! HOLDING IN A MEGA DUMP AS YOU STAND IN LINE FOR THE WATERSLIDES AND THEN LETTING IT LOOSE AS SOON AS YOU SIT DOWN AND RACING IT DOWN! GREAT TIMES! I CAN STILL REMEMBER TAKING MY FIRST DUMP IN THE WAVE POOL! IT CHANGED MY LIFE! THERE WAS NO NEED TO WIPE! WELL ALL OF THESE MEMORIES MEAN NOTHING NOW... I DROVE MY PURPLE TRUCK UP THERE YESTERDAY, WHICH USED A TON OF GAS (She's not that efficent) AND BOY WAS I IN FOR A SURPRISE!! FIRST THEY TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY FOR PARKING! ARE YOU JOKING??!!! YOU SHOULD PAY ME FOR PARKING THIS AWESOME VEHICLE IN YOUR LOT! THEN THEY TOLD ME TICKETS HAD GONE UP IN PRICE!!!! I DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO GET IN AND I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO THEM I HAD JUST BOUGHT A NEW TOILET BUT THOSE HEARTLESS BASTATDS DIDN'T EVEN CARE! THEY TURNED ME AWAY! ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS HANG OUT IN THE WAVE POOL!!!!! SIX FLAGS CAN EAT MY SHORTS!!!! 2/10 (ONLY BECAUSE OF THE MEMORIES!) I WON'T BE COMING BACK! CAN'T BELIEVE I HAD TO STOP AT CRACKER BARREL ON THE WAY HOME TO DUMP...

Ericka U.

Will be a wonderful day if the pool be open

Heather Paar

I took my niece there and we had a great time.

Flare_Evan

Beautiful Time Being There. The Slides Are Awesome. And Having A Family Time Here Is Really A Good Choice

Abhishek Tiwari

Amazing place with some of the best rides. It was a surprise for my wife and she loved it.

Edward Johnson

We were exceptionally disappointed by this water park

Eric and Laura Peterson

The prices have become unreasonable. The restroom facilities are in the worst condition they've ever been.

Peter Song

Terrible terrible. Overpriced. Warning!!!! Will regret. When your a resident of Rockford Il we got a little discount very disappointing when their isn’t one just for seniors. I haven’t been here for 2 yrs. came here with family from overseas just to have fun. But not this time I’m so frustrated so much unrealistic change. By the way you have to buy 1/2 of seasonal pass their isn’t just 1 day pass for those local. Plus taking pictures really some would say privately. What if you don’t want your pictures taken. All I have to say today is my last visit here locally till this expires thank you magic waters local water park today was a terrible experience. Here is not worth the money spent here. I rather spend my money on Wisconsin dells water park. At least their reasonably worth.

Sofi Teske

food is way too overpriced it’s like $6 for a bottle of water and admission is way too overpriced it’s 30$ to get in. 11$ for a piece of pizza. 9$ for dip n dots. but it is fun for the slides but for the price to get in i wouldn’t say it’s worth your money

rielyn patrick

The slides were amazing and the water is kinda already warm

Kenneth Stevenson

The life guards are annoying, stuff if over priced, 4.50 for a 1 liter. I guess if there is no where else to go.

Dione Bohrnell

Not enough shaded areas with chairs. The wave pool got shut down twice for an hour each time, they do a breaks in the wave pool where everyone had to get out for 15 min. The lines for the food were terrible. I waited in line for 45 min to get nachos. The bathroom was packed and super hot.

Sandra Watz-Olson

Today at 12:22pm arrived at Magic Waters with 3boys who used their own money to buy their tickets. All 3 were excited & had checked to make sure park was open before we left.Within a few minutes of arriving people starte coming out of the park stating it was closing. The boys checked to see if they could get rain check for their unused tickets. The answer was no! A change in policy needs to be made. Tickets are too expensive for young boys to use their own money to not even get to the water!!

Amy Wilson

After spending nearly $400 just to get in and have a place to set our things down we were met with sub-par amenities. We paid extra for an upgraded cabana which did not have electricity and the sides were NAILED SHUT so we couldn’t let any air in. We supposedly had “VIP” parking and upon arrival the attendant said park “wherever”. Bought a $30 small pizza and they forgot to make it and then gave me a raw pizza. Mmmmm. I mistakenly assumed with the increased pricing after Six Flags ownership took place that there will be an increase in class. Don’t waste your time or money here support a smaller local community pool you will have just as much fun

Sara Newsted

Tried it out because of six flags season pass. Fun but not a lot of shade to be found. Wave pool is cool

Cathryn Kasten

For the past 2 years we have visited with our daughter, it is close to home and was always a good time. I have been looking forward to going again this year however now that Six Flags owns the park it is $30/person and $10 to park! What a joke!! That makes it $100 for a family of 3 just to walk in the front door! You can't bring a picnic basket anymore either so then you have to factor in food and drinks! Thank you for making a fun day out for my family, and countless others, unobtainable now. It stinks that we won't be able to stay close to home and support a local business.

Jack Davis

Very cool water slides. A few are original creations. The tsunami pool was cool, but not impressive. Waves are too small for my taste. Nice lazy river though.

Misty Thompson

The rides are great. The staff is friendly. I'm only rating a 3 star because I feel there is no organization. Random tubes laying in walk ways. The "lazy" river was such a mess. I've never been in one that didnt require the use of tubes. This made it chaotic and unpleasant. There were children swimming under me. I do.t understand how that can be safe. I guess based on how hurricane harbor operates I expected more from a 6 flags park.

thug cat

Love it and had a ball with my Family

Beth Croft

Great water park with just the right amount of slides. Tiki island is great for younger kids and the wave pool is quite large.

Erica Hardiman

Can’t believe they had the nerve to take their coupons out of the park district book been buying that book for 10 years each book gives 2 free passes to Magic Water a shame we won’t be going at all anymore with a family of 8. Everything is so overpriced now.

Broham Hammer

The slides and all are fine but it just can’t get a little repetitive If you go there over and over again I hope since six flags bought it they’re going to be a lot more stuff

Jessica Lace Up

I've been going for years being able to afford 12 dollar Wednesdays and free parking now I'm lucky if I'll make it once a year with the price increases

Alexia Oracki

terrible. terrible. not worth the money, time, stress or effort! ur better off swimming at a community pool. the food lines took a tremendous amount of time out of tour day and they close very early. not an enjoyable experience.

Christopher Wallace

Alot has changed since 6 flags purchased the park...now everything costs more and things that were free now cost money. Kids still enjoy the park regardless

Rosemary Jacobs

My granddaughter is a life guard here good food and lots of fun for everyone

Ajit Patel

Ever since six flags took over, they increased tickets price, added parking fee, online transaction fee of $10 (really?). Food cost increased inside and they charge for wavepool tubes ($10). I'm surprised they dont charge to use bathrooms, that's all thats left to charge for.

Jen Michaels

Used to be our favorite place to go. However, prices increased, and they also charge for parking now. We used to rent a cabana 2-3 times a year but prices of that have also gone up and without being allowed to take in a cooler makes no sense to rent. Hope they make some drastic changes for 2020 season or we'll be exploringbother waterparks.

Greg Cobb

With a season pass and free parking this place is great. At full price for a family, this place can get expensive quick. How about cheaper locker Magic Waters?

Esmeralda Bolivar

The park is nice, but waiting for our food completely ruined the trip. My husband had to wait 1h 45min to get us food! The park was busy but not anything that should be out of norm...seriously get some pick up and go sandwiches or something. The park itself was your typical water park. It’s clean and life guards are very alert.

Jessica Jach

Many things are in disrepair or run down feeling. Not enough tubes for the lazy river made it feel like they were trying to force people to rent tubes. The prices of food are astronomical. $13 for a plain cheeseburger, $5 for a bottle of water, etc. Definitely bring your own food/drinks if you go and take a break to eat at your car. I was offered free tickets to go, I would go back again if it was free, but I would never pay to go here again in the state it is in. The whole thing was not a terribly pleasant experience where it felt like they were just trying to scam people out of money instead of being an enjoyable family destination.

Rocky Morelos

This place has come a LOOOONNNG WAY!!! Very cool slides and they made a very friendly atmosphere. It was bought out by 6 FLAGS GREAT AMERICA so the prices are DEFINITELY HIGHER! But overall I believe if you plan accordingly you can enjoy the day and NOT BREAK THE BANK! You can NOT take food in but you can take a cooler to eat outside the confines. Be sure to get a stamp in order to re-enter. I definitely plan on bringing my family back.

Waaaaaaaay too expensive. $10 for parking. $15 for a medium sized Locker. Astronomical entrance fee, and not a whole lot to do. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you're rich go somewhere nicer, if you're poor go somewhere cheaper.

Michelle G

I like that I could use my Great America passes to go here. I do think that charging $10 to park is a little ridiculous. I thought the park overall is a nice place to take the kids for a simple outing. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the food stations are so so slow it takes forever to order and get your food. It tastes okay though and I was a apologized to and compensated. Otherwise I would give this place 3 stars. I will be returning.

Elias Fernandez

Meh it's okay. $12.50 for an Italian beef? Rides are okay. I think if your from Chicago your better off going to sign flags great America hurricane harborj.

Anonymous Cookie

Such a great place, the lifeguards there really know what they're doing, they should get more credit for their outstanding work

Pamela Douglas

Although small and a bit dated, this water park delivers a lot of fun. It has many different slides and areas for all ages to enjoy. With Six Flags picking up the management, I expected more....tubes need painting, grass was overgrown all over and general unkeep was needed.

Daniel Avila

If they are not going to let people bring food or snacks in, they should at least have quality food and reasonable prices.

Angeli S

Used to be only $17 or $19 to get in and parking was free. Now it’s owned by six flags, parking is $10 and entry is $39. Overpriced. The teenage lifeguards are rude and have let the power go to their head. The lazy river is pretty much the guards constantly telling our to get out and give your tube to someone else. Perhaps with the price raise they should invest in more tubes. Food is over priced and not good. I got a pizza combo that came with a salad and a soda and paid almost $20. A simple bottle of water costs over $5 or $4.50 from a vending machine.

Miriam Pacheco

First time coming to these waterpark cause I have a six flag membership though it would be nice but to be owned by six flags it sucks staff dont know what they are doing couldn't give me my membership discount also they are not organized like the actual six flags sorry six flags u got alot a work in your hands with these new park not worth my 50 min drive pretty dirty to

Joe Schramm

Helps that it's included this year with the Great America Season Pass. Sometimes the lines for food are crazy long, but today the VP was there.

Monica Banuelos

Although the water park it's small it's a great place to visit, good food, and the staff was ok

Kelly Rizzo

I went here for the first time and I was excited to go with my family. We get there and had to pay for parking and get in and the staff was very rude and they didn’t know how to help you. I was in the lazy river and there were leaves and sticks in there. Then I went to the wave pool and the pool liner was buckling up and there were leaves and band-Aids and hair and it was so gross. The bathrooms were gross and the cabana that we had had a dove with a nest and it was on top of the cable box. I will definitely tell people not to go here . It was disgusting.

Herbert Morris

First and foremost me and my family attended this water park every year and the prices were reasonable....BUT NOW you’re gunna double the price and charge for PARKING ?!?! It’s sad! Me and my future wife were almost obligated to purchase season passes because of it but let’s touch up on why the LIFEGUARDS are blowing their whistles every 30 seconds to which seemed like at kids for even breathing

Karen Slatter

Food and drinks very expressive! Had a lot of fun from 6 yrs old to 56

Cj Madrid

I used to go there for the last few years with my family , This year I went back there and everything was different that is $10 for the parking and The ticket went up to double now and to be honest The park it’s kind of fun but it doesn’t worth all the amount of money

lazyellie1

They should really consider set up some umbrellas near the chairs.

Lee Revachoni

While it doesn't exactly compare to somewhere like Wisconsin Dells in terms of size and budget, this place is great for what it is. Good environment, multiple interesting rides. I know it sounds weird, but my favorite part about this place is standing in line! I'm 100% serious, I love standing there with my brother watching all the trucks and cars go by on the highway, it inspires us. Go to Magic Waters if you want to be inspired!

HeccYes

For a waterpark, it wasnt bad. They had plenty of fun rides, for all ages. However, it is very expensive. Per usual, the food is over $10 for some stale chips. And the tickets are even more. Other than the cost portion, it was good. It was fun, and not too crowded.

xzUltra-99 Kevin

My finally from New york came to Cgmhicago to visitit me and we went here to have a nice and fun day as a family ! We had a great time here?! Me encanto

Dayla Griffeth

Great way to cool off. Grounds could be better maintained, getting food needs to be more efficient.

David Springer

All food service lost ability to do transactions due to computer system glitch. So the meal plan i paid for was not able to be used.... upgrade your system please!

Emma W

Small not a lot of water slides to choice from, very overcrowded.

Michael Mosher

Wow are the costs high for this small park. I would only recommend it if you are a season pass owner for six flags. And eat before you go in.

Melissa Morrison

This place is amazing for all ages! An average size locker cost $12 but it's well worth not having to carry anything all day!

Anita/Carlos Ortiz

The lady river and the wave pool are really dirty. The lazy river you can see the dirty at the bottom. The lines for the food are at least an hour wait for funnel cakes. They make the food ahead of time so by the time you get it it taste gross. And everything is over priced. You can't even take your own coolers like before. So disappointed. I still go because what else is there to do in rockford. Its here in town.

Candice Murphy

So much better since six flags took over.

Julie Trickle

Love a good water park. Just enough to keep everyone happy without being spread out exhaustingly far. Great wave pool, expensive food. Buy a food package for the day or picnic in the parking lot

Ban Bell

It was good but the the water stinged my eyes and my mom said the water tastes like bleach plus Some pools need cleaning. (Am sure that the water was chlorine

Rebecca Karl

Owned by six flags now, season passes are good here as well as other theme parks

Natalie Pardo-Navejar

Kids had fun. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Fatima Delacruz

Great for little ones and the ages between 5 and teen, great wave pool because it gets as deep as 6ft love that.

Steph Lynn

Got free tickets to go here because of work. It is an okay water park, for kids. I would not pay to come here however, going once was enough for me. Could use a little TLC in the cleanliness department. Got fries from the food court that were absolutely atrocious. I was not expecting 5 star quality food, it's a waterpark.. I was expecting something I could actually stomach though.

drew parker

Great time, very short lines. Park is looking a little run down, but it didn't really detract from the overall experience.

Luanne Rodgers

EXPENSIVE!!

Melissa Crowell

Long lines and long wait times for food. Food is terribly expensive. Better option to buy the package if you are going to purchase food. Disappointing that you can no longer bring items in. Other than that, kids had a great time.

Thomas Striley

Decent place. Would have been much nicer if the lazy River was open when we were there. Would have also been nice to have the leaves out of the wave pool.

Rocky Morelos

Really worth the money. Get to go to six flags too. Cant beat it!!!

sparkiplayz2 8

Magic waters has a lot of slides. Innertube and bodyslides are very fun to ride on. If you are coming with a big party. Tell them to bring at least 20 bucks if you plan on eating there. Other than that, enjoy hurricane harbor!

Jonathan Stopek

Now owned by six flags and being renamed "Hurricane Harbor, Rockford", here's hoping that they will have extended hours next year...Be aware that there are no hooks nor benches in the changing stalls, and if you want to wear sunglasses, bring a neck strap for them, as they'll make you remove them prior to going on the slides... ostensibly "so that you don't lose them", but of course they're far less secure in your lap or hand. Also, a double tube is REQUIRED to ride double with a small child... unfortunately, the park doesn't have nearly enough of them, so you have to wait for others to come down with one and beg it off them. Otherwise, you must RENT tubes. The lazy river doesn't provide tubes either, and requires a SPECIFIC tube. Also, ask prior to going in the wave pool if the waves are on that day... sometimes they are not. It's still a lot of fun for a family day.

lindsay mota

This facility gets worse and worse. Human poop left on lounge chairs, workers eating while serving food and uncaring managers.

Christopher Lofton

It used to be priced 'fair'. Now that they are owned by 6 Flags everything is over the top expensive. If you're not a Season Pass holder, be ready to be nickeled and dimed into poverty.

Graham Wilson

Love the take over of Six Flags. Membership well worth it if taken advantage of. We'll be getting our money's worth between Great America and the water parks all year around.

Itzel Chavez

It was great! The best part is that since this waterpark is now owned by sixflags you can enter with your membership card. You dont have to pay!!! Yet another reason to get a membership card from sixflags. The pools were very clean and the bottom of most of the pools have a plastic sort of feel to it instead of the rock hard pebble floors in the pools which dont scratch your legs while youre in the water. They have a lot of ffod options and the lines go at a fair pace even on hot weekends when there are a lot of people. It was a great experience!!! I'll definitely come again!!

Barbara Soliz

They have everything food, fun, water fun , items to buy , music

Amy Wolf

I will not go back. It was one problem after another. Six Flags needs to have better customer service and all my headaches would have been avoided. We had more fun when it was a Rockford Park facility.

Sharyl Rodriguez

I haven't been there for a long time but since we could use our season passes we went ahead and made the trip and it was worth it something different water slides were pretty fun. Just a word of wisdom if you have a gold pass membership it does not work at this park!! It's for gold plus and up members.
