We have all the feddbacks of people who purchased the services of Lahaina Banyan Court (Park) in the area close to the state of Hawaii.
At present the firm receives a score of 4.6 stars over 5 and this rating was based on 2018 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is practically the best one, and it's based on a very large number of reviews, so we may say that the score is very reliable. If people have bothered to leave their score when they are pleased with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Park corresponds to the category of Park.
If you like watching people, this is your place. Every tourist that visits Lahaina ends up coming to this park. Like most of Hawaii, it's overated, but there's no lack of restaurants and bars all around, so you won't starve or die of thirst. A bunch of tourist boats are across from the park, hawking whale watches, Dolphin Tours, snorkeling, diving, and a host of other things. Just remember that you'd best bring at least a 3mm wetsuit with hood to snorkel or dive most places. (Good days are in the lower 70s for water temperature, but not uncommon to find 60s offshore)
Lots of interesting shops including a great T Shirt shop.
Definitely visit you should make during the day in the sunlight instead of during an evening stroll. As seeing the homeless people sleeping on the benches doesn’t seem quite so bad in the sun. Lol. Too bad that something like this can damper such an awesome natural wonder.
The larget Banyan tree in the U.S.! Unbelievable, really can't comprehend the size and awesomeness until you see in person. Worth a stop by when you either hit a luau or spend some time walking the ships downtown Lahaina.
Love the Banyan tree. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to climb it. Still a great shady place to sit and rest your feet after shopping in Lahaina. Also close to the boat dock!
Cool tree and I don't understand how it's one tree but forms multiple trunks.
Birds being explored for hours by photographers was sad to see.
Really amazing place to visit and soak up the Hawaiian atmosphere.
The amazing banyan tree in Lahaina on the island of Maui covers an entire city block! It is a sight to see, and more spectacular in person!
Fun gathering place in Lahina. Sort of a tourist trap but a good place to get your bearings. Very incredible tree has spread out to cover a city block.
Banyan court is good place to cool down after your stroll on Lahaina marketplace. There are benches to sit and shade to thank Banyan tree for. There is lot of parking on road side, if you cannot find one, just drive a fit further to park in public parking.
Such a cool tree! Definitely worth checking out.
We had fun doing the all the things in town.
Such an historic location and, despite the throngs on the rest of Front Street, we found cool shade and nice benches for eating our shaved ice under this ancient and glorious tree.
Pretty place. Biggest Banyan tree
Cool place, next to old court house and plenty of shops
Cute small park. Definitely go see it if in the area. The trees are beautiful and make a great place for shade from a sunny hours
Banyan tree gives sense of awe. Calming and cool under the tree
Large and very cool old Banyan tree taking up a city block. The tree is surrounded by shops and places to eat. There was a ton of tourists around the tree taking pictures as well as some homeless people taking a rest on the park benches. Parking was very difficult, watch out for tickets.
That's one huge banyan tree! And a pleasant walk around Front Street in old Lahaina.
It's really a beautiful tree. Climbing. Not allowed. Unless it's dark and they can't see you
Amazing experience, seeing this beautiful, interconnected tree spanning the park. Spiritual and mystical in nature.
Absolutely gorgeous. The shady relief from the warm sun was just what I needed when walking around downtown Lahaina. One afternoon there was even a live hula demonstration and craft fair!
Nice place to sit and enjoy the banyan tree. Definitely full of tourists so difficult to take a picture of the tree without folks all around. It’s near a port for tourists from cruise ships so expect very touristy stuff, including things that you see on port of calls during cruises (ie jewellery, artwork, etc.). Nice to walk around for some sunshine and with some shaved ice
Nice area with lots of local shops in the area.
Really impressive banyan tree, good break from the sun!
Great place with a giant tree. Try to see the artisans festival there. It is amazing. And the art gallery in the court house is great.
Was cool to see such an old tree...we sat and had Ice cream and watched people..
Wonderful tree to experience in Maui, the area gets crowded at times but lots of seating to enjoy.
Peaceful, lots of shade. Near all the great shops
Utterly amazing. You must see this tree = park. It is one tree and it is a whole park. I walked around in awe.
It's pretty neat. As you've read, the whole thing is one tree with the vines growing down to become their own tree trunks. I would say go out of your way to see it, but you are here and found parking consider making the stop.
These trees are really amazing, and unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. I walked in from the cinema center and was amazed when my eyes met the trees. It was beautiful!
Great place at Lahaina. A lot of stores. Restaurants, great atmosphere ambiance. You will also see great ocean view.
Love the oldest banyan tree! And best dole whip in the store opposite to the court!
Always cool to go back and take pictures with the tree
It was great to hear Hawaiin music being performed under the Banyan Tree and the kids that played songs were excellent also thanks
Amazing- must see. Its been around for 150 years
The huge banyan tree covers the whole block of the street. It's difficult to take a picture with such a huge tree. Impressive.
Gorgeous park, waking distance to the beach just down the road, interesting info in the adjacent visitors center. Great vibe, though we did get hit up by a beggar who wanted money to take a picture of us. Love this place, though!
Fantastic tree in the heart of Lahaina. Great restaurants.
Beautiful tree and location, this town has a lot of history and it was awesome to experience it. It's a great stop before the Old Lahaina Luau.
A spectacularly large tree. Something to see!
Neat little ocean side town with harbor, history and amazing banyan tree in park by historic courthouse. Lots of shops and restaurants to pick from. Highly recommend if visiting Western Maui.
Awesome place for the family to take pics. This tree is amazing!
Historic, beautiful, kool, artistic. A little messy due to fruits dropping off the trees, but that's nature. These trees were planted back in 1850s, history plaques installed around them. Oceanside of the court has some historic buildings. Good place to chill and escape the sun.
It's so beautiful, it's a must see.
This is a cool little park with a couple of big Bayan trees. They have events there every so often so keep you eyes peeled if you're passing through here. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because depending on the day, it can smell pretty bad for reasons you might guess.
The square and the Banyan Tree look pretty much like it did 20 years ago when I last visited. Unfortunately we were there the day when the cruise ship unloaded it’s thousands of passengers, so the town was mobbed and the streets almost impassable. After checking out the tree, we only spent another 30 minutes in town before we made a quick exit.
Probably the most famous on the island of Maui. Really nice views on the water. Many shops to visit and things to see. The art galleries are phenomenal, worth visiting and they are all free. Also the drive to this town from the airport is very scenic.
Great feature of "a shopper's paradise' is the banyon tree.largest one east of miss
Gorgeous! Magical! Breath taking! Unbelievably massive! Mother Nature at her finest.
It's a tree that takes up an entire block and looks like multiple trees. Simple yet needs to be seen. Amazing what mother nature can do.
Nice spot to visit but as a tourist I wouldn’t want to hang around too long there, too many homeless and hippies. Just had this funny feeling like a fight might break out or get yelled at by “locals” for looking at their direction.
This is such a neat tree. Pretty amazing that it is just one. It looks like there are a whole bunch of them.
I absolutely love this banyan tree! Every time I go to Maui I have to visit the banyan tree. It feels so amazing to hear the hundreds of mina birds singing and to know this is all one tree. I had the pleasure of seeing it decked out in Christmas lights this year ❤
Very nice park with those old trees
Very nice place. Beautiful Banyan tree from around 1873
Beautiful tree. The kids loved this place. Everyone liked the cool shade of this tree while the rest of the town was so hot.
Its really tricky to describe to people just how BIG this tree is. It could easily be considered a world heritage site, as I'm sure there isnt another tree (or even plant for that matter) that spans and weaves the way this tree does, not from what I see at least. An amazing site to behold and a MUST if you are in the are. That being said, its soo big and it's on the main drag, so it's very difficult to miss.
Beautiful example of Nature's handiwork. Magnificent tree takes up nearly an acre of land and continues to expand by dropping down roots from its branches.
Very relaxing, except when everyone else is trying to relax too.
The museum upstairs had some cool artifacts and info.
Classic old town Hawaiian feel. Great shops but full price for tourists. Can get crowded when the cruise ships are in.
You have to see this tree. Words do not properly describe.
Cute spot. I got some fire sculpted turtle for $5 and the went on a submarine ride.
Never saw a so huge tree. Provided welcome shade on a very hot day
Loved the court house and the art that was being sold there along with the use of the old jail to put up the art!
Great place to sit down, and enjoy surroundings...
A must see in Lahaina. A nice place to cool off on a hot day. Check out the artist market on the weekends - unique gifts and artwork. Local artist Bryan Debris does the coolest art prints. Check it out.
Community event and market was going on. ... great time. Hard to find parking though.
I was walking down Front St. on a very hot day. Once I reached the Banyan Court the temperature dropped a little and it felt cool. Many people were sitting under the Banyan tree relaxing. This is a miraculous tree that fills the entire park and I believe it is the second largest in the world. It is a blessing that the people of Lahaina had foresight and preserved this sacred tree. If you are ever in the area stop to check this out and learn a little of its history. Give it a hug or two while you are there. The whole area was very nice with little shops and delicious food choices.
Awesome piece of Hawaiian history. Well worth the visit to the museum, especially if you are able to get one of Kalapana's guided tours
Really cool park with a huge Banyan tree. It’s too bad a bunch of folks carved their initials into the tree. The square is kept up well and there are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the tree. Convenient located within short walking distance of many downtown shops and restaurants. Easy to walk over and check it out if waiting for a table.
Nice tree, great location, near the boat area and other shops
Beautiful Banyan tree. Oldest in Hawaii. Lots of shade and benches!
Beautiful Banyan tree. We were surrounded by people experiencing homelessness, which was unsettling and sad.
So wonderful ! Thats the beauty of the nature ❤ Just look each details, thats incredible!
A must see tree. Guy playing soothing guitar music
This was an amazing tree with a fascinating history.
Cool park in old Lahaina with the block completely covered by the banyan tree. Good place to sit and have lunch to people watch and listen to some of the locals perform their music. Sort of felt the entire square could use a good scrub down and cleaning, but overall it didn't distract too much from the ambiance of it all.
Beautiful tree! A must see if you are in the Lahaina area.
This Banyan tree is a must-see in Lahaina! All of the branches became trees themselves by shooting down roots which became trees over time. Fills up the town square! Planted in 1873.
Amazing tree. It felt so cool under this tree in a hot day.
It's a really unique sight. The largest banyan tree in the US. You can read about it, look at pictures, etc, but it just didn't compare to seeing it in person. Free parking a couple of blocks north, skip the "public parking" pay lots. Then walk down front street and peruse the shops and grab a bite to eat in one of the many restaurants.
A haven from the hustle and bustle of Front Street. Plenty of shade and a pleasant breeze from the nearby ocean .
Huge banyan tree to sit under to enjoy the food and drinks from food eateries around court.
Awesome place to congregate to and go for a stroll to one do some people watching or window shopping or catching a bite to eat at one of the many eateries. The marina is only steps away where you can go fishing or whale watching or whatever floats your boat. Great gathering place for the locals and tourists alike.
It is so cool to see this huge beautiful tree! We got to see it around Christmas time and it was covered in Christmas lights. The shopping around it is great too, but definitely over priced. Look for the people selling their wood carvings, it is amazing to watch! There seemed to be plenty of people smoking weed or sleeping in the park, so heads up for that.
Old town Lahaina is a must-see / experience if you're in the area. It is such a quaint cute little town. Mostly just a tourist trap now but it still captures the charm of old time Hawaii. There are historic buildings there and lots of shops which attract The Tourist. Plus the cruise ships stop hair daily bringing lots of people to town. You can book excursions right from the town. The Banyan trees are absolutely amazing! If you don't go for any other reason go for the Banyan trees!
Beautiful park. It's nice to sit under the tree. They have art shows. Great to go to. You'll always find good art.
It was amazing to sit underneath the tree and see so many of it's off shoots, etc. It was fascinating!
Go see this amazing tree. Wow!
Amazing! Beautiful to sit under the trees and enjoy the day
Beautiful, stunning, plus wild chickens running around!
Amazing trees but it's also a place for the homeless to gather.
So beautiful. Be prepared for chickens walking around.
Breath taking and beautiful. Many places to visit and shop, also historical and educational. Truly love it.
Loved the shopping at lihaina so pretty
Beautiful and amazing banyan tree provides welcome shade and relaxation in the center of town.
Amazing Banyan Tree, I've never quite seen anything like it. The park was nice enough, but the tree is the obvious center-point. Definitely worth passing through.
Located in the heart of downtown Lahaina, the park was a breath of fresh air from all the stores and shops.
Very peaceful, a nice place for some shade and cool selfies.
Super cool tree that has spread to a half block area.
This place is beautiful great place to take pictures
Drawn in by the banyan tree, stayed to learn about the Chinese history of the area. Inside the building in a museum area with historical displays and photos. There was a great deal of history about the Chinese and the history and how they helped to shape the culture of the area. I can't begin to describe the Chinese heritage here, there is much and it runs pretty deep. I have included some photos to help. I wish I had more time to educate myself. You really need to visit to begin to grasp how much influence the Chinese had on the Lahaina area.
Two words lilikoi sherbert.
Beautiful tree's nice place to get out of the sun.
Really cool tree but my wife and I witnessed multiple incidents here involving the local homeless population, including a guy punching another guy with a knife in his other hand as well as a separate accusation and confrontation over stolen wallet. It definitely distracted us from the natural beauty of the tree. That said, we never felt directly threatened so it is still worth a visit if you are already in the area
This is a cool spot to visit! The tree is huge and spread across a large area. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!
Awesome place! The trees are gorgeous and right by the harbor and in the middle of downtown by all the restaurants and shops. I the court house there I believe it was, there are public restrooms upstairs. Nice place to relax in the shade.
Very pretty and interesting! Rich in history.
We enjoyed wandering through the multiple levels of this shopping area. There was lots to buy, but they weren't pushy at all. Everything was clean, and there are some fun food options.
Very cool and relaxing place. This tree is very very big!
" Lahaina Banyan Court is a Historic Place, it's one of a Tourist Destination to visit. Inside the Court Building is where you can explore around inside and learn about the history of Lahaina and what Maui was like. Outside is where you can just relax and sit down under this Huge Banyan Tree which is right in the middle of the court. The Banyan Court has all kinds of events that they have for entertaining people, they also have like a flea market or vendors that sales all kinds of merchandise, gifts, artwork, handcrafted Necklaces, earrings and much more."
A must see in person, a very awesome creation by the one and only creator of all things GOD
Wonderful place just to chill and relax and watch the day go bye.
Would be better without the arguing bums, but what can you do. Very cool, spectacular tree.
Such an amazing tree! I didn't realize all of these trees are offshoots from the main one. This is a must see if you are in Maui!
Coolest tree ever! Check out the history museum here too!
It was an amazing place , it is a 150 years old and still spreading well and giving absolute shade for so many travellers, birds and felt cool after sunny whale watching cruise. Close by you do have food joints , Dolpineapple fruit shop .
Gets busy and bustling, but this 190 year old tree reminds you of the legacy in Maui. Do checkout the art gallery next to it. Wonderful art and the vicinity can be perfect for a book and a coffee on a non-busy day(which I don't know when it can be)
Never seen anything like this. So awesome! I came for the bars, saw this spot, and spent 30 minutes here instead. Trees are otherworldly.
Magical place with a very fascinating banyon tree!
Cool place to visit. The giant banyan tree simply impressive.
This tree is incredible. I can't believe it's not on any of the list of must do things in Maui. Take 15 min and go marvel at this.
Lot of history cool Banyan tree one tree many branches check out the history and across the street Baldwin building too. And the port lot of info. Local Street craft shows from time to time.
If you want the tourist experience along with shopping, this is the place to go. they have endless isles of clothing and souvenirs - they also center themselves around a park and great foodery. i just came to watch a local get a fish, and then i went and swam in the ocean. the views, as with anywhere in maui, are divine and infinitely beautiful. also a great place to get photos.
Awesome place. Tree is 1 of a kind
Beautiful trees and lots of shade in the park. Great place to hang out and relax.
A huge tree, all interconnected, provides pleasant shade for humans and chickens alike.
This tree is amazing! It actually is one Tree but has come up in several different places and it's connected above ground, it is awesome to look at it. You will find it at the end the Front Street across from where the shuttle will drop you off. You're not supposed to climb it but you know there is always someone who thinks it's cute to let their kids climb on it. They actually had musicians in the same area clean and vendor set-up selling little items under the tree
Nice rest area. Not the cleanest. There are stragglers strolling around. Not a ton of benches to sit on. The banyan tree does provide a lot of shade though. I would recommend stopping by just to take in the view of this massive tree but other than that, not much to do there.
One of my most favorite things about Lahaina is the banya tree! So much history, so massive yet so unconditionally romantic! Must see and must take pics!
Really cool!! If you like seeing cool trees. Nice shady spot in the middle of town.
VERY NICE ATMOSPHERE AND BEAUTIFUL ARTISTIC DISPLAYS
Impressive trea right in the center, offering nice shade. A free museum right behind. The place has a nice vibe.
There are probably less than 100 trees on Earth that are as awe inspiring as the great Banyan in Lahaina. Walk around and realize that all of this is one tree and think about the hundreds of years of sailors, Hawaiian royalty, whalers and visitors who have relaxed in its shade. Then do what you can to make sure hundreds more years get to enjoy it by not climbing, carving or pulling on it.
Beautiful trees, nice price point. Make it your business to check out the shops and attend the Feast at LeLe
It's a shame they cut the vines short but other than that it's as beautiful as I remember it
Pretty cool to check out the tree, definitely a popular place, lots of people. Lots of cute shops for souvenirs just down the street as well.
The most amazing Banyan tree in all of the Hawaiian islands.
Loved the new upgrades being done! It's pretty clean and refreshed!
A cool park with lost of shade. The Banyan tree is huge. It's the center of town so lots of shops and restaurants.
The tree is like something out of Pandora. The art and craft vendors are pretty cool and unique. The shady homeless people make the whole thing uneasy.
We enjoyed the view and the people we met
Pretty tree court.m they often have craft fairs under and around the tree.
The atmosphere was outstanding. You get a feeling of peace when toy go into it
Unforgettable and always fun for the kids. A must see while on Maui.
The most amazing tree that I have seen.
Great place to enjoy the beauty of the tree in the park it covers. It's right on the main strip and just off the beach. Kid friendly, as well.
Cool breeze under the banyan tree. Lahania is HOT
Amazing tree and root system. The old courthouse is full of interesting history and great eats just across the street.
Awesome breezes in the shade on a hot day watching surfers!
Loved seeing the trees they way the have grown
It's beautiful. Worth a visit for sure.
Enjoyed the amazing beauty and shade of this tree during our recent very warm visit to Lahaina on Maui.
A must see if you've not yet! I always tell people visiting Maui this is a must see spot. Along with the magnificent tree there are plenty of shops to visit and food to eat. You will almost always see homeless folks around the tree but they have never been a problem. The problem for me are all the people ignoring the do not play on tree signs and engraving of initials and such. There were two guys repairing some broken concrete on the path around it that just couldn't stop cussing out visitors to the point that one of the workers got on his bike rode the path telling off everyone only to park his bike on the opposite side of the park and continue to curse out cars, pedestrians, kids and anyone he could so that was pretty lame. Overall be sure to make this a stop on your itinerary, it's fun for the whole family.
