REVIEWS OF Disney's Hollywood Studios IN Florida

They've really changed this park and they've done an amazing job. Most of my old favorites are still here and galaxy's edge is really impressive.

John McKean

The new Star Wars section of Hollywood Studios was a trip back to 1977 for me. The details were unbelievable and the whole experience was amazing. Crowds were not insane when we visited and the spaceport food and drinks were a lot of fun. Ogas is a must!~ We will return again next year to see what they open next as there were several area still being finished. All things Stars Wars indeed!~

Johnnie Harrison

If you like thrilling rides, then you will like Rockin Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. My family enjoys them, I don't, so I just hang out and wait. My favorite thing here is the street shows! The characters always interact with the crowd. Each time we've been, a member of our family has been chosen by a cast member to interact with and it is so much fun! If you are invited to join in, do it! You'll love it!! We went in June and, yes, it's hot. But, it's summertime in Florida, so you just have to deal with it.

Vern Rogers

There are great things going on here! The recent additions are top rate. Plus, anywhere you can get a selfie with Darth Vader is top notch in my book.

Erika Espinosa

I hope they find a way to make the entrance more vibrant. Because those older parts get overshadowed by all the new areas. Galaxys edge is an outstanding place

Eric Swanson

We have visited multiple times as a family and love it. The new Star Wars Galaxy Edge is incredible and the Avatar world over in the Animal Kingdom park is amazing.

Ethan

A fun day, but on a multi-day trip to WDW make this only one day and spend more time in other parks. Not as much fun as I had when I went a few years back. I think some of the entertaining and interesting attractions they have removed to …

Arun Kumar Narayanaswami

My daughter (4 years old) loved it. Since we have a 1 year old as well, we didn't go on any of the ride. We were there on a regular weekend - were in there for about 6 hours and watched 6 shows and took photos with 2 of the characters. We used the fast pass+, but didn't need it as there was no queue in most of the shows. My 1 year old son too enjoyed the place. I found Hollywood Studios to be less crowded and hence more enjoyable than Magic Kingdom.

AJ Swinson

Love this park! Galaxy's Edge is an awesome addition for all ages. Toy Story is just plain fun. :)

Melinda Theofanous

Hollywood Studios is a fun place. It is the place I take my granddaughter and we have so much fun. She loves the Disney Junior character connections the best, followed by Little Mermaid, the Muppets, and the rises in the Toy Story themed area. This parked ia never as crowded as any if the other parks and there is plenty to do for the day. I would not book a while vacation around this park unless you are a wild Star Wars fan.

Kurtz Baratier

It's so nice here! I wish I got to go on more rides and fully experience Toy Story land, yet that side was highly crowded; I can't control that anyways. Try food and drinks at The Neighborhood Bakery if you want something sweet and delicious. I had the Num Num Cookie and the Secret Identity drink; both were amazing! But my absolute favorite part was building the droid at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. It's such a memorable gift for an affordable price versus getting some toy at a gift shop that's probably three times more expensive. The staff helped me ship it back to my room so I'll be able to get it tomorrow.

Michael Musselman

Love how every ride queue is interactive. There is always something to look at even when nothing is going on. Love how all the rides has a place to stow your bag... ony thing I need to remember is flavoring for my water bottle.

Steve Kludt

Of course it was amazing it is Disney. But there was way too much merchandising. I think it became intrusive and interfered with the experience. Merchandising is everywhere in the parks of course But this was even more intense. They did a better job on Pandora. Better get your fastpass weeks before you come to the park.

Michele Percy

Like taking. Step back in time with the decor of the golden years of the emerging movie industry! Disney's Hollywood studios offers an opportunity to step into the movies you love and gives background and depth to their development. Fun for old and young alike!

gail neschen

I was lucky to be the plus one to my daughters invite to the new Star Wars theme section. People, if you are a fan and when it opens go. You will be amazed at the attention to detail and the absolute fun of this experience. The Imagineers have outdone themselves. It was a St open, so not everything was up and running, but all that did was whet my appetite for MORE. Disney, you rock!

louis amato

Its Disney. What can go wrong? Galaxy's edge was very cool. Went face to face with First Order troopers. This time of year very short wait times.

Ezra Lockhart

Wow what a theme park. If you are seeking fun for a group of adults here is the place to go. Are you a Star Wars fan? Then Galaxy's Edge is where you want to be. The staff are immersed in the Star Wars Galaxy. They have stormtroopers and Chewy with Finn walking around. What an adventure. Food prices are similar to the other parks. It isn't as crowded as the other theme parks, which I found odd. If your travels allow stay for the fireworks right before the park closes...you won't ne disappointed!

Vivek Gopalakrishnan

Visited the park today. It's good for kids and adults who don't like scary rides. Got vast parking spaces and shuttles frequently picks you and drops you to and fro the parking area. All the eatables are heavily priced inside the park. Outside food is allowed, so it's better to take some food. Do a research on fast passes. I took it for Indiana Jones, but it was unnecessary as it had vast space. The shows are very good. Wait time for some rides are beyond 1 hr most times.

Ian Foose

What else can I saw but wow, this park may be Disney's best in Florida even though it's the smallest. I saw that because it brings a taste of California, enough to fool me, and shows the origins of Disney. This is in my opinion a more intimate park where you can interact with cast members and have a good time with your family!

Carolyn G

The entrance to Toy Story mania has moved, but don't let the crowds discourage you. You will love this ride! I was a little disappointed to see that the Great Movie Ride is closed and is being converted into something else, but I'm also excited to see what that might be. If you want a great meal, make reservations at the Brown Derby. it can be pricey, but it is well worth the money. You can also add on the Fantasmic dinner package to your Brown Derby experience, which will give you special seating in the Fantasmic Night Show. Make these reservations ahead of time online.

Mike Hazelwood

The new Star Wars Galaxy Edge is amazing. The really put a lot of work in making everything look authentic. It’s a must see and experience. The line is understandably long for the new Millennium Falcon ride but wow what a ride. You get to control the Falcon on a mission.

Victoria Reetz

Pretty freakin awesome!!! The cast members are nice and helpful, the shows are amazing, and the food is fresh and delicious!!! Loving the new Star Wars park! Must come to visit if you are in the Orlando area!!! Parking is smooth too and it's easy to find your car again.

Chad M

Here on day 1 of the new Star Wars Galaxies Edge. Absolute insanity but Disney Cast members have been keeping everyone entertained and running smoothly. I love Hollywood Studios for all the rides and attractions and shows. A great place to spend several hundred dollars in a day. Lol

James Fitzsimons

It used to be 5 stars for me, the changes its gone through recently have given it some growing pains and things to work out, and rediscover the Hollywood part of the name, and hopefully refocus on more of the fun behind the scenes rides they once had and more shows, or immersive movie worlds like toy story land, incredible lane and of course the new star wars land. I have no doubt I will change this to 5 stars after my next visit. Still absolutely worth the go, plenty of shows to see and places to eat and things to enjoy.

simon wellard

Well I did like it when it was Disney's MGM studios from 1989 to 2008. I liked the houses, the backlot tour. Then I liked the lights motor action. The Indiana jones stunt show, the great movie ride, one man's dream, yes I like toy story ride. As far as star wars goes that is really cool. Toy story land really cool. Like how cool the park is.the bathrooms are well kept and the custodial cast members really do a great job. The only thing is that nothing Hollywood about the park. Great job.

LP Powderly Korkis

Really liked the new toy story land. Go early in the day and be sure to get a fast pass for slinky dog dash or toy story mania. We hot a preview of toy story 4 while we were there too! The star wars galaxy show in the central plaza was great! You definitely feel they are getting us ready for galaxy's edge! Be careful you took may be asked by a storm trooper if you have been meeting with the resistance! It was a blast!

leticia calhoun

A fun place to be! The Toy Story Land really made for a fun time for my 5 year old grandson. The scenery all around the park brought nostalgic memories of movies made before I was even a consideration to my parents. The good, clean, fun movies. I know my husband and I will return again soon to take in all the stuff a 5 year old would have been bored to pieces with. We were rained out that day and called that visit short, but hoping to return in the cooler, dryer season to enjoy it again.

Grzegorz Bajorski

Lovely theme park, part of Disney chain. Easy access from on site car parks or by the taxi pick up / drop off point. Tons of different activities / rides to enjoy. I would definitely recommend section dedicated to Star Wars. The 3D rides are amazing. Also Rock'n'Roller is very unique and exciting ride.

Travis Oglesby

This has always been my favorite park. Things have changed, new attractions added. The main thing I like is it gives you a small park feel that packs a HUGE punch. Now as a parent, I love all the things that bond you with your kids (toy story land, character meets, shows) yet still gives you some of the best thrill rides Disney offers (Tower of Terror, Rockin Roller coaster). And now, Galaxy's Edge. Wow. It's like really being on another planet. Thank you for this. Flying the Falcon has been a childhood dream. Cannot wait for Rise of the resistance. Keep bringing the magic.

jolly shah

Park is the perfect size for a day trip. There is no need to rush between the areas. Fast passes are a necessity for most of the attractions as wait times push two hours. Most of the entertainment, shows, don't require a fast pass to still secure great seats. The food options at great, especially the Fairfax Fare by Beauty and the Beast at an amazing value!

Fide Andre

Good times. Please visit the tower of terror and the Rock n’ Roller coaster. Those are two of the most thrilling rides at the park. You will enjoy it. Please wear comfortable shoes, drink plenty of water and be aware of the heat during summer time. It is definitely a good time. Remember you can use the speed pass to go on rides quicker

Tom Askew

A fantastic place that captures the romance and shine of classic Hollywood. Strong presence from franchises like Star Wars, Muppets and Indiana Jones. Great opportunities to pick up some Star Wars merchandise. The Indiana Jones stage show is well worth getting a fast pass for as you get to be seated first. You can buy drinks and popcorn after you get inside the theatre which is handy to know.

Joshua Collins

We went to Hollywood Studios as they had some cars attractions and Toy Story land attractions we wanted our LO to see. Even though the Toy Story rides we didn't get to ride due to height requirements it was still neat to see everything they had to offer along with getting to see the characters. Do some googling and make sure to get some of the recommended food like the huge pop tart from Andy's Lunch Box. There is a lot of older kids attractions we didn't get to see but the Star Wars area was packed but did get to see some of the characters walking around which was cool. I would recommend having a park hopper option if you have a younger kid as there isn't a lot for them to do at this particular park but we had fun anyways.

Barbara Rhoads

Good thing we decided that this was our last day visit. It was fun but not very big. Loved the Toy Story area though.

Monica Martins Iasz

It was the first park we visited when getting to the Disney’s Parks. Thematic as expected and beautiful! Having the wrist band made the entering process easier and faster. We enjoyed the Tower of Terror and the Star Wars show. It started raining later in the afternoon, and we couldn’t enjoy the full Indiana Jones presentation because of the weather. We couldn’t do the Slinky Dog Dash ride or the Aerosmith roller coaster because the lines were too long. Overall, it was enjoyable, but we liked the other parks better. Needing some updating, and better food options as well.

Amanda Meeks

Fun theme park full of old Hollywood magic. There's more shows than rides, and it gets really full really fast. Loves are pretty long for most of the popular attractions, but, hey, that's Disney for you. It's smaller than the rest of the parks. The addition of Star Wars is going to make it a lot better. Restaurants are good... Plenty of quick service and snack places.

Bette Festing

Loved it! So much stuff to see with great shows! Had to go back a second day to see the rest of the attractions.

Ashley Philmore

I have been to Hollywood Studios (nee MGM studios) numerous times (2001, 2004, 2010, 2015 & 2018). Every time I have gone it is such an amazing experience and discover something new each time. By far my favorite ride is tower of terror, …

Gustavo Davila

This park was one of my favorites as a big Star Wars person. Galaxy’s Edge was awesome, the details, the rides and the characters everything was perfect. Loved meeting Chewbacca and Darth Vader. Star Tours and Smugglers run were really fun. Toy story land was another great addition to this park. Highly recommend getting on tower of terror is was a lot of fun.

JoshG1978

The entire park was an amazing experience once again. My group did the Frozen sing-along and one thing we wanted to mention was Eric, the cast member that was part of that show. He was excellent and really helped keep the audience engaged. He was one of the most memorable members of the Disney staff for the entire time we visited Disney. Thanks for another great memory!!!

Rosemarie Sanchez

Absolutely love this park. Great area for the smaller children in DinoLand. Fun, exhilarating rides for the thrill seekers (Everest). Perfect for all members of the family, from a safari ride, water ride, roller coaster, slow rides, shows and extra activities. Definitely a learning experience if you're interested in taking your time through the park.

John J

This place really needed something after closing backlot tours and the great movie ride which I thought was a huge mistake… Now with the addition of toy story land, which I absolutely love. I think they did an amazing job. Now since August 29, 2019 they’ve added Star Wars Galaxies edge. A great Disney park.

Charles Shapiro

This park is great but it will be so much more fun in the coming years. With the new toy story land and galaxies edge this park may well finally be realizing it's potential.

Diana Newton

We went to the pre-opening of Star Wars and it was a Fantastic place. You have such a wonderful imagination, it felt as if we were in a whole different world! Thank you for such an Exquisite time in Batu!

Monica Fuentes

Amazing! We went during morning magical hours from 6 am to 9 am, and it was wonderful. No lines! There were wait times of five minutes. We were able to get it all in three hours before the park opened for everyone else. Totally worth it.

Regina Wolfe

We had a blast here today. Every cast member we met was so polite and stopped to talk with me. We even met 2 cast members who shares the same name as my daughter and her best friend. When we mentioned that they shared the same name, they said they were "name buddies"and gave them free ice cream!! This place rocks and we WILL be coming back as soon as we can

Gustavo Davila

This park has truly stepped into the future! We have been coming to this park since it opened and it has never been as good as it is now. We were happy to enter the park at 6am and begin our journey into the world of Star Wars and toy story land. We were so impressed by all the new and all the attention to detail. This day, at this park, is probably my all time favorite Disney park experience.

Megan Henning

We recently moved to New York after living in Winter Garden for the last 5 years, and visiting the parks every weekend and during the week. Despite missing our friends and family, we greatly miss the magic of Disney. We had an opportunity to come "home" this week and spent some time at Hollywood Studios - our favorite Disney park. In addition to the parks always being in pristine condition, the Cast Members always go out of their way to make sure we have the best time - whether we're Florida residents or not! Huge shout out to Robert on the tram, he made sure the Disney magic continued from our way out of the park to our car. "Ain't no party like a Disney party, Hollywood STUDIOS!" Thank you Disney, Robert, and all of the Cast Members for a magical day! We'll see ya real soon!

Olga Cantina Review: Great decorations, very much immersed in Star Wars theme, friendly knowledgeable staff, and good interesting drinks. 4 star for lack of option to sit at a booth, my kids were not comfortable or interested in standing at the bar. Also no kids friendly food, only an exotic Star Wars themed meat & cheese plate or similar exotic gelatin based dish. Good for adults who can enjoy adult beverages, Would not recommend for children less than 21.

First time here ever with some friends and it's definitely my favorite park, especially the Toy Story one! I'm a kid at heart and the way You Story Land was themed with various toys from my childhood along with the bubbly atmosphere made it for an awesome park! The attention to detail was also really amazing and made for an awesomely fun park! Also really enjoyed the Tower of Terror! So much awesome stuff to do, you won't be disappointed! Especially with Star Wars Land just opening up, which is awesome by the way!! We started out at 6 AM and the wait times were insanely short, like, 5 minutes short and some not even having a wait time!

Marco Giovanni Aliberti

Nice place for the far far away galaxy fan! Amazing the Indiana Jones's show and for youngest is cool the little mermaid show as the Frozen one! I suggest take some chili nachos at the boat restaurant! Have a good time!

Stephen Enochian

A place of wonder, far off places, daring adventure, and so much more! Hollywood Studios brings the Magic of cinema to life for all ages. It's timeless tale of romanticized Hollywood of old is a treasure in of itself. As you step through the gates and see the Chinese Theater and Hollywood Tower Hotel in the distance, you're once again among your favourite cinematic treasures, part of the story yourself. From Hollywood Boulevard to Toy Story Land to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, Disney's Hollywood Studios is sure to impress!

Lorena Posadas

FANTASTIC we had a blast. The new 2 land Toy Story and Star Wars are amazing. Super recommended it. The shows are amazing. Well done Disney

Thomas Kaminski

Awesome experience. Highly recommend. A bit pricey. But worth it. Better than Universal Studios by far. Cleaner, friendlier. More fun. They know how to entertain you right.

Micki Woodford

We had an amazing day, park was clean, shows were epic, staff was very friendly and helpful and we packed it full of fun experiences. My only complaint would be there are tons of shirts I would go home with if they had not been 34.99, just so pricey! But saved me money I suppose! We really had a blast and the evening Star Wars show is phenomenal...

Dustin Hatfield

We had nothing but trouble. Fastpass was not disclosed correctly to us. The how it worked was not what we were told. Nothing for us to use it on, but one ride at 4, we got there at 8 am. Only nice thing was star wars area. We choose to go to animal kingdom, after that had to fight a about that, told ticket was our receipt only to be told by gate guy no its not. He final let us go on like he was doing us favor. Was the worst time. Go to universal studios, they are much better place to go. Did what the agent told, got told nothing was noted on my account. Did what that agent told, me was again told nope. Was the worst time, tired to make best out of it, family was done and wanted to go home.

Mugiwara Gaming

First time here since it was MGM and we walked our feet off!! I wish it had more rides but the shows were nice in their own way. Toy story world was super neat and i can't wait till the new star wars expansion is open. From what we could see it looks promising!!

Ashley Ventre

Always fantastic. Thankfully they have options to refill my water bottle for free. It was as hot as the surface of the sun. Sounds weren't out of control. They seemed to move around the park. Toy Story Land was busier than the rest but it was amazing and so worth it.

Tonia Highers

Loved seeing the new Galaxy's edge! Staff always so helpful, we have two special needs kids and Disney is always wonderful for us!

eninman03

This place is a lot of fun with its hollywood vibe at the entrance and then the other sections of the park that are a blast to enjoy that really remind you of the movies. Though I feel this park is a bit smaller than the others there still …

Kiya

Hollywood studios is changing. This is obvious, but it can be for the better. While Toy Story is wonderful aesthetic wise, there is no air conditioned dining option in Andy's Backyard. Galaxy's Edge was stunning. The theming, the food, and even the Cast Members are wonderful. One downside to HW Studios is there are few good sit downs. Drive-in and Prime Time are excellent, but it's hard to get a reservation.

Joe Blockno

New Starwars land is amazing. Also the slinky ride is a lot of fun. The family had an awesome time.

Marylu Kennedy

Had a great time! Even if you are a little down you cannot stay that way long. Shows are good. Lines were long at the new Star Wars Millenium Falcon but there was enough to see to make it fantasticly fun!! Wonderful!!

Julie Lalla

Went to see new Star Wars attraction. For the most part it was great. The details on the flying machines lacked some realistic touches and there needs to be more seating areas. When you have small children in strollers, that can't always go in some places. Those that stay behind to tend to them need a place to sit. There's alot of walking at Disney. Be kind to the parents and grandparents please. More seating!

Jose Vaquez

Fast pass did not work, not enough cover area.. The park lacks shows that are worthy. I would not recommend this park. Slinky Dog was the best attraction and the Indiana Jones show was great.

Jason Berresford

What an amazing place ..we had a VIP tour here with Michele for two days. Amazing, friendly and funny! Our 14 month old didn't want him to leave and our 15 and 13 year old didn't want to have him go either. We went to Hollywood studios as part of our day one .. hit up all the major attractions in hours with back doors and a real VIP treatment. Amazing!

Silvia Cigorean

Love the new Toy Story Land! Loved this park. I think i had more fun than my kids

Shenay Lewis

It was a bit hot out and the shade in toy story was not much however we did have a great time. It would be nice to have more directions/signs on where to go. Sad they removed the backlot tour. That was always a fun/resting ride.for us. Love seeing the props and stuff from famous movies.

Tamica J Patrick

My trip was AMAZING! The entire family enjoyed ourselves. No long wait time in the lines (w or w/o FP). My daughter got to take pictures with ALL of her favorite Disney characters. The staff was really nice and went out of their way to make our time there special. It was well worth the money and drive!

Patrick Kalaboke

Loved it!!! This is definitely one of the better theme parks outta the (4) major... I love the Rockin' Roller Coaster and my kids love the Slinky Dog ride in Toy Story land! wait a minute... did I mention the TOWER OF TERROR! best ride ever! I absolutely love how Disney creates and sets the ambiance and theme every ride.

Trent Connors

No escape from the sun anywhere in the park. With so much construction, changes..we were disappointed there is no sun shades, indoor seating (ABC comm. was closed...again). With so much to do....but no heat or sun relief. Be prepared. We loved slinky dog dash!!

Nathan Howard

Disney World is indeed a magical place. Disney World has fun rides, fun attractions and if you go to the better restaurants, you can get some awesome food. I cannot stress enough to plan ahead. Plan for rides, plan for food, and plan on fun. Buy tickets early, if you are staying at a Disney World resort take advantage of booking fast passes earlier than those who are not staying on the resort. Hollywood Studios was my least favorite of the Disney World parks, but with the Star Wars area opening later this year that may change. Eating plans can be made 6 months out, and if there is a place you really want to eat at, you should make those plans way early. Mama Melrose place was the best place we ate in Hollywood studios and I would strongly suggest it. We had six of us and all ordered different food and did the take a bite and pass the plate. We all got to try different items and all were yummy. You are going to be standing in line bring sunscreen and battery pack for you phone. Bring bags that seal closed for electronics and bring an umbrella. It rains in Florida. employees are supper nice and the place is super clean. It is mind blowing that a place the has so many people go through each day can stay so clean.

J.D. Sawchuk

Love this place! The classic Hollywood charm! The new fun rides! But most importantly, the Indiana Jones show! Dear Disney please make more Indiana Jones movies

Alan Jackson

Went the day after Galaxy's Edge opened. This area was very disappointing. Long walk through very little to be bombarded with merchandise. Where were the goosebumps I got the first time I went through the gates of Jurassic Park with the theme music playing at Islands of Adventure. Smugglers Run fails to be a thrill ride or an interactive experience. If you're not a pilot it's even boring! It failed the first time we went on it. Toy Story land helped the park to score 3 stars

Nick Flamand

I preferred and will always love the "Studio" aspect to this park. I'm keeping an open mind about the new attractions but I wish they hadn't gotten rid of the old studio Hollywood feeling of the park.

Austin Langston

We visited six days after Galaxy's Edge was opened, and it was fantastic. Although I'd recommend Magic Kingdom over this park if you only were able to visit one, this is an easy second. I particularly enjoyed Star Tours (which we rode three times) and the Millennium Falcon Smuggler's Run. The food is pretty good, and there's a ready supply of free water coolers in the park - seemingly more so than in the other parks - plus there's a Starbucks! As for Galaxy's Edge, the ride is pretty good, but I'd really say the coolest part is the atmosphere of the entire area. Get some pics in front of the Falcon, and maybe go into Olga's for a drink if you want to feel like you're in a Star Wars cantina. Blue milk is pretty gross, but if you *have* to try it like I did, there's a stand outside of Olga's that sells the stuff (and green milk, which Olga's doesn't have) so you don't have to go into the bar to try it like we did. P.S.: I got lunch from a place close to the Tower of Terror, Sun-something was the name(?); I'd highly recommend the 7-Layer Rice Bowl--it was the best food I had in all of the parks, but I love Mexican food so your mileage may vary.

Kathleen Ciron

First of all I was lead to believe that Florida residents get an automatic discount. I was only up from ft. Lauderdale for the day and found out that the residents only get the discount if a 2 or more day ticket/hopper is purchase. I really thought that stunk. Also trying to use the app to avoid the long lines was totally impossible. Park was crowded, like a typical day in August and everything is so expensive. I could not believe the parking was $25.00. But all in all the toy story land was magical and I had so much fun. Really brings out the inner child again. I loved it like I always do. Will go again, but definitely buying the discounted pass next time.

Iago Rosa

A fantastic park in Disney World, one of my favorites in-fact and home to the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! It's immensely unfortunate they took down the Iconic Sorcerer's Hat back in 2015, it was honestly such an awesome sight to see as you entered the park but it's understandable as the removal of the hat brings the original nature of the Hollywood Studios back once again. Hollywood Studios is a gorgeous park that takes you back to the classic world, with fantastic music, structures and 2 of my favorite rides, the "Rock 'n' Roller Coaster" starring the legends from Aerosmith and "The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" and it's one awesome park where I'll always have fond memories of.

Tyra Baltram

Fun theme park, lots of things to do. Galaxy's Edge was pretty cool. Arriving early and using fast pass+ smartly is the only way to go.

Mark Hall

This was my 1st experience at Hollywood studios. Disney has done another great job putting this park together. In my opinion it was a better experience than the day that we spent at Epcot.

Cricel Castillo

Everyone knows that Disney is the most magical place on earth but that’s not what my review is about. My review is about an incredible staff member named Katie who works at the PIZZORIA food area near Star Wars. She overheard me talking to my Mom because well, on day 1 on my vacation, DAY 1 >.< I hurt my knee and became disabled. I can’t walk until surgery now with few days out from my qualifier for the Olympics. Katie brought me a mousse cake on the house and said “You sound like you’re having such a bad day. So I brought you this and I really hope it gets better!” I almost started bawling right then and there. There are still amazingly wonderful people in this world who care. I love Katie. Thank you Disney.

Thure Caire

The Galaxy's edge area is great. It has an immersive, grimy feel distinctive from the rest of the park. Line for smuggler's run was long, but the time estimate (70 minutes) was within two minutes of when we entered the final boarding of the ride.

Kristy Fortinberry

My favorite place at Disney! Not as busy as Magic Kingdom and tons to do to suit boys and kids out of the princess crazy ;) Star wars is a must! Toy Story is awesome! Indiana Jones puts on a great show! Only request? Bring back Sweet Spells!!!

Bisi Ajala

How do you give this theme park anything less than five stars as is all other Disney theme parks. Basically Hollywood Studios is about the rides, there are four major ones. Due to long wait wait times and lack of fast pass, we ended up riding two major ones which were Tower of Terror and Slinky Dog Dash. We had to watch the fireworks a second time at Magic Kingdom. So we set out.

Tracy Matyiko

Always love my visits to anything Disney. The new Toy Story and Star Wars theme sections are amazing. The way Toy Story is built makes me feel like a kid again walking around in an imaginary toy world. Star Wars is unique down to the snacks, drinks, and shops...it is out of this world!

Samantha Green

How can I describe Hollywood Studios, and especially Star Wars, besides amazing! You really felt like you were in a different universe. Lunch at the Sci-Fi Drive-In was a great change-up from the rest of the park. We also splurged on the Galactic Dessert Experience. Well worth the $!

Mark Rodriguez

Had an awesome time between Toy Story Land and the new Galaxy's Edge land. Smugglers run was AWESOME. Great job Disney and I look forward to my return.

Sam Fleming

The themes are great, but the actual number of experience's/rides are limited and crowded. Too much wait too little entertainment. Fast pass was useless because we did not book way ahead of our travel. I get the desire to merchandise, but the experience is so heavily weighted to it that you feel like you just paid an entrance fee for a specialty shopping mall.

Paul Garcia

This is our second visit to Disney World and Disney Hollywood Studios. This park is extremely popular due to to the Star Wars attractions. The park has changed so much since out last visit. We went during a weekday so we were able to go on most of the rides. We enjoyed lunch at the food court area at the base if the Tower of Terror. The weather is great in the fall as out last visit was in August and unbearable. Always a great time at Disney.

Diane Snider

Star Wars area is great. Kids will love it. Not much shade though so if it's a hot day, you're going to suffer. The rest of the park is a lot of fun also. Had Cobb salad at the Brown Derby and it was very good

Jadan L

Disney’s Hollywood Studios perfectly executes a timeless experience for people of all ages, with Indiana Jones, to Star Wars attractions, and even the new Toy Story land-not to mention the countless other wonders we already know. My trip here in mid august was amazing, the wait times for many rides were minimal to average, and tinge only ride that really took long was the new Slinky Rollercoaster ride, which is to be expected. All around, it is definitely a place to visit with the family, relax, and enjoy life

Stephen Henrich

Great day. The one ride our 6 year old grandson wanted to do was Slinkydog at night with the lights on. We didn't have a fast pass for it so we waited in lime do 80 minutes, but the smile on his face after the ride made it worthwhile!

Scott Hutchinson

They don't fill all the availability on the ride cars. When you wait for 1 hour in line and you see empty ride seats. This is ridiculous. They don't help out accessible people at all unless you are in a wheelchair. I'm from Utah visiting my first time and will not ever go to a Disney park again. Nothing worth your money. Money hungry corporation. Lower your ticket prices and fast pass a joke. They feed more people through the line but make others wait. Get rid of fast pass.

Edna Caraballo-Gonzalez

I love this place! The Star Wars section is amazing. Highly recommended.

Brian Hirosky

Amazing! I've been waiting all summer to experience the evening at Hollywood Studios. After our visit - I cant stress this enough - This park is AMAZING. The park finally feels complete.

April E

Arrived at 6am to ride Millennium Falcon . I was expecting the ride to be like if Avatar Flight of Passage and Harry Potter's Forbidden Journey had a baby. What I got was a Star Wars themed Mission Space. The Galaxy Edge area is amazing and done well. The prices for food and souvenirs was ridiculously expensive and left me asking " is that US dollars?" My family and I had a great time overall and the wait times for the other rides in the park was the best it's been in years.

Kelsey Doerfer

I really do enjoy this park but I believe that I went during a time of change and rebuilding. I believe they are in the process of creating more offerings. I just can't give it 5 stars at this time.

Gretchen Marie Cosme

Hollywood Studios is an amazing place and it has so many things for people of all ages. I am so excited for everyone to enjoy Galaxy's Edge and they should experience every ride and show as much as they possibly can while they are there. Cast Members are very hard workers and they go above and beyond to make everyone's day as magical and fun as possible.

Mark Rattigan

Fantastic day. Star Wars Galaxy's edge was so well done, Just walking through it was an experience. Great rides and entertainment.

Gerald Kelly

Friggin star wars land is awesome. Its got a full size falcon. Go there. Just go. Its worth the wait

Timothy Kemperle

Enjoyed our day at Hollywood Studios... To bad the love for Slinky Dog Was over two hours within minutes of the park opening. Tried for Alien Saucers but the ride want working... Opened an how later. Was able to get on Toy Story Mania with a short line. Overall great day... Can't wait for Star Wars land.

Kayla F

Such a joy of a park to visit. Love the Toy Story area and Tower of Terror is one of the best rides (in my opinion) at any of the Disney parks. And now they just added Galaxy's Edge which is like walking into an entirely new world.

Karl sacher

Not been here in years but progress has not been made with the fast pass idea. I like a holiday that is not planned with military precision months in advance so have to suffer the now known as standby queue. Only get to do a few rides in a day. Universal on the other hand seems to be a lot better and had much more enjoyment there. For what Disney charge these days the can stick it!

Nancy Boyd

Fantastic experience! The new Toy Story and Star Wars lands are phenomenal. Everything is very true to scale and immersive. Fantastic!

Jock Orr

Not bad but it leaves you wanting more. There are not enough Disney worthy attractions to satisfy everyone in the park. So what you get are extremely long lines for anything good. Plus, fast passes for these attractions are taken by families staying at Disney resorts 30 days prior to allowing other patrons of the park to even look at what's available. I feel sorry for families that travel halfway around the world to wait in line for 8 hours for four decent attractions. We will not return to this park unless Disney makes some serious changes.

Jason Albers

Felt a little over crowded and more congested in some areas....however its Disney theres almost always something magical and unique when visiting! Haven't been here since about 2010 so it was nice to bring my wife and kids. Wasn't alot to do for the kiddos and wasn't able to stay too long, but already excited to come back in future years.

daniel rojas

Words can't describe how wonderful and special it's the time you spend here. BUT fireworks and projection shows are a lot better in Magic Kingdom. Almost not even worth staying.

Manu Bhatnagar

Disney has really stepped up this park for the families. Attractions and shows From Star Wars, Toy Story, Disney Jr, Frozen and many more that connect with the whole family. There is a lot of great dining options and a few great thrill rides. Make sure to use the Disney World to make the most of your experience.

Michael Gabriel

Great time at the park. We were there for the opening of the new Star Wars attractions and also were able to do the rides. Long line but worth the wait

Elliot Bevan

I personally felt that the park was somewhat bare of attractions during my visit relative to magic kingdom. But Galaxys edge does open soon plus a couple other attractions which aught to make the park better. Due to this perceived lack there were long wait times for many of the currently running rides. I felt like there wasn't an awful lot of shade around the place, unless you went into a restaurant or an attraction that happened to have shade in its waiting line. We went into the frozen musical just to get some AC despite having no interest in the attraction!

Shari Zabroski

Fun place to spend a day. The new Star Wars attraction was great, but like all openings for new attractions, very crowded. There are more updates coming to the shops as some were closed with signs directing people to different locations. Can't wait to see what is coming!

Shawn Material

It's pretty cool toy story land is great for kids and adults. The live shows are top notch. Shopping can make you feel a little crazy, some stuff has prices most don't or you have to look for a color to match your price. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Overall it's a great place to go.

james ortiz

The new star wars centric area is quite good. At the moment there is only one new ride available however it's the small details that Star Wars fans can count on. The attention to detail is awesome, you could spend hours finding new little hidden treasures. The Millennium Falcon is fantastic and the primary store that sells all the good stuff is super detailed. I took a pic of the skyline to illustrate how easy it is to believe that you are in the star wars universe.

Jay Bennett

It's Disney so you can expect great service. We had rough morning getting to the park that caused us to get there later than we had planned and caused me to leave my hat at the Disney resorts bus stop. When I went into guest services in the …

Johnathan Durr

Disney’s work has transformed Hollywood studios from a regular visit to a must-do! The addition of the star wars and toy story areas have really revitalized this park. We used to come here just for tower of terror and rockin’ roller coaster. All of this, plus we were able to do extra magic hours, meaning we got into the park at 6am! By 10:30 we had literally ridden every ride at least once and usually twice. The crowds were small that early and it was quite cooler out. If you’re staying on property - GET THERE AT 6am. You won’t regret it.

Kirk Williams

This was one of our favorite parks. The night life was spectacular. We went to this park twice during our week at Disney. It is on our list of parks to go back to...

JD Perry

This used to be one of the slowest parks at Disney, and now it is one of the busiest. Time your visit well, and know what is where before you adventure here. There used to be a big joke of "exit through the gift shop" and almost all the rides here are like that, so grab the kids and pull them through or you'll either waste time or money. Lots of great rides here that are not nearly as tame as the other parks.

John Orlando

The Star Wars portion of this park, before they even opened up the galaxy was great! They do a live showing and parade down the center of the road! My whole family enjoyed this! The night time shows we awesome the Disney one and the Star Wars one in the center of the park! The special effects like the lasers shooting from the movies really come to life!

GiveIt Legs

ok, I have to brag. We went the morning of the Hurricane... you know? The day the park was closing at 2pm? And bam. Went on Smuggler's Run 2 times and had Galaxy's Edge pretty much all to ourselves! (relatively)

Maria Vieira

Great for all the kids! And adult kids! Very hot. The kids areas like toy story could use more air conditioned places to wait while the bigger kids ride.

1st 420

OMG I love this place!!!!!!!! It brought back child hood memories seconds after I walked in the gates. We enjoyed the wide selection of rides and restaurants. I can not tell you what I liked because everything was amazing. I already want to go back.

Ravi Ahuja

Hi Guys, this review is dedicated to all Disney lovers. Hollywood Studios Orlando's is one of the 4 Disney parks. It has some great attractions like Rock and Roller Coaster, Hotel of Terror, the slinky dog roller coaster at Toy story land and so on. Trust me that you must ensure that you select your fast queue rides wisely as most attractions have a wait time of almost 1 hour each. 30 days advance booking is allowed to select your favorite rides so make the most of it.

K Frierson

First let me say ALL cast members are ready and willing to help! Shopping at Celebrity 5 & 10 I had the pleasure of meeting Eric, so humble & personable. Eric thank you SO much for the conversation! #P4:13.

StateGuy Plays

Truly is a fun place to visit. Lots of things to do and see. There's things for all ages but certainly more for adults and older kids then there is for little ones

Emalee Toth

It is very nice but the Star Wars attractions are not marked, no signage, cast members were not helpful and city when trying to get directions. I should have given 2 stars! Perhaps being older and riding a scooter makes that OK.

Antonio Thomas

No shade here folks just like the real Hollywood it's all fun in the sun. It's got that new and old school Studio look with replication of the things you would see in Hollywood from the Chinese theater to the Hollywood Stars. Doesn't seem to be as crowded here as the other parks of Disney. The longest line here was 85 minutes compared to Animal Kingdom with the Pandora section with ride wait times 120 minutes and at time 145 minutes

Brian Duimovich

Nice change of pace. Some rides, lot's of quality shows, a bunch of character meet and greet opportunities, good food options, a cold beer if you choose and friendly, helpful staff. Disney quality all around.

Meagan Forss

Todays visit was not so hot and there was a great breeze. Lines seemed to move pretty quickly and cast were helpful. Definitely a great time of year to visit.

Tms Thomas

Outstanding. Can't wait to go back for another visit someday. Kids absolutely love it. Nearly as much as the parents did

Mary Ann Heaton

Not enough shade. But everything else was good. Would love to see the Disney parks Mark the walking areas so people aren't coming at you from all different directions.

Tom Lemrow

Hollywood studios is great. They are always changing and adding new things for families to explore. The downside is the parking lot construction seems to never end and the walk in gets longer. Lol. However the new Galaxy's Edge is AMAZING! The attention to detail will blow you away. We waiting in line for 55 min to ride the Millennium Falcon and there was so much to look at that the time flew bye! The other ride doesn't open until 5 Dec so we will be back and explore the rest of the Galaxy's Edge! Even if your not a Star wars nut, you'll enjoy this!

Thomas Dodson

Great park. Arrive early! Get the rides done so you have time to see the showed in the afternoon. That's the only way to see it all.

Mark Douglas

Disney's Hollywood Studios is a fun family park. Lots to see and do here. The new Star Wars land is cool but disappointing in my opinion. There isn't enough attractions in this section to make it worth waiting long lines. We went the day hurricane Dorian was supposed to be the strongest, thinking that crowds would be light, which they were - good move on our part but I wouldn't want to endure the crowds on a normal day. As always, Disney is expensive, including food, gifts, etc, and you have to determine is the experience is worth the price.

Lukasz Grabowski

The new Star wars land is very immersive. Not a ton of attractions but fun and well put together. Plenty of other rides and things to do outside of the star wars land. The new toy story area is fantastic as well. Just like the rest of the Disney parks. Lines can get long like all parks, do your research and try to book smart.

mike towns

We love Disney, especially Disney World, and have been going for 40 years. But sadly, it seems they have lost their rudder at Disney World, and instead of the happiest place on earth, have just become the most commercial place on earth. Prices go up considerably from admission to snacks and water and restaurants and merchandise, but the service and park either improve marginally, or even get worse. The staff are indifferent and some downright down in the mouth, and it now feels like you’re a nuisance there, instead a part of the Disney family like it used to be. Still cleaner than other venues like Universal, and the fireworks show, though never changing, is still entertaining. By all appearances they’re waiting for Star Wars to bail them out. I hope it’s that good, because even the tower of terror hasn’t converted to guardians of the galaxy yet.

Jesse Torres

First time stepping foot into a Disney themed park. Loved it! Tons of awesome shows, great rides, very fun, delicious Italian restaurant. Literally walked in when they opened and stayed for almost 12 hours. Fantastic place!

Abigail Vasquez Bruton

Star Wars mania at this park. The new ride: Smugglers Run is awesome! I wanted to ride this 10 times over, but we did not have enough time. Amazingly my 10 year old daughter loved it too. She wears motion bands which help her. Toy Story rides are so much fun too. I love the new roller coaster ride at Toy Story land.

PJSS W

The Toy Story Land was Awesome! My daughter got to meet Jesse from Toy Story 2!!! The Star Wars part was amazing, even for me not being an avid fan like my husband and friends. Going back again in a few days to explore. Will update more.

Mike Villaggio

Good place for kids. Cheapened the shows from years ago. If you were there 25 or more years ago, show quality less with less live actors now. Park staffing top notch. Food really expensive and portions small.

Luiz Fernando Keller

My favorite park so far. Everything looks brand new. And the Star Wars area? Amazing! I loved it. I already miss that... enjoy specially the Millenium Falcon.

Henry Edvard

Good times. Please visit the tower of terror and the Rock n’ Roller coaster. Those are two of the most thrilling rides at the park. You will enjoy it. Please wear comfortable shoes, drink plenty of water and be aware of the heat during summer time. It is definitely a good time. Remember you can use the speed pass to go on rides quicker.

John Farris

It's exactly what you'd expect, and a great quality, too. My only beef is with the required pre-planning to attend rides and shows with Fast Pass. They need a visitors online itinerary algorithm and some map kiosks so we don't have to juggle cards, maps, water bottles and cell phones.

Nature With Mike

They have some cool stuff here but the whole park is not set up very well. Most areas are dead ends where u have to return the way u came in. I assume this is due to the fact that this was supposed to be a half day type park originally etc. At least the new Star Wars area has 2 entrances/exits. Epcot is by far set up the best with most everything being in circles with wide lanes.

Aaron Brooks

Amazing! Truly loved the whole day there. The rides and the specticales around the park are just amazing. Daytime was really fun, but the park light up at night was just amazing. Truly loved seeing it. A special day!

Jeff Harris

The updates that came with the Toy Story and Star Wars areas were needed and make the park feel much more modern than previously. The lines can be long. The food is expensive. But most modern amusement parks have this. The food we got from Woody's Lunch Box tasted far better than I expected. The small touches, like having the green army men march through the area for a fun and distracting couple of minutes. The expense to entry is what knocks it from 5 to 4 stars.

Darrin Gordon

At passholder's early sneak peek of Galaxy's Edge! As usual, phenomenal work Disney painstakingly created for the Star Wars franchise! You got to see it in person. I'm not doing it any justice. The food is decent and the ride, smuggler's run, is amazing! Plenty of merchandise for everyone. We had a great time!

Cecille Freeman

Galaxy's edge is phenomenal. It feels like you're really part of the star wars universe. Shops are awesome - great quality props and costumes ($ though). Rest of the park is sweet too. Rock and roll rollercoaster and tower of terror still hold up, but let's be honest - if you're a star wars fan we all know why you want to hit Hollywood studios. If you're wondering bit it's worth it, the answer is yes.

Carmen Raddatz

The new Star Wars section is beyond belief. So much to do! Hint shop doors and specialty areas are closed - you have to go up to them to open and explore inside. The staff are great and fun to talk to. All staff are really into the characters they portray.

xqueenofxhearts

Not our favorite park. 4 stars because of Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story lands really making this theme park. The rest of the park more or less bored us. Our daughter did really enjoy the Disney Jr. and Muppet sections. But they were only about 20-30 mins worth of entertainment.

Josue Martinez

New Star Wars area is out of this Galaxy!! The detail that disney has created at every corner is breath taking! Even with only 1 ride online it is worth every second spent in the area. There is so much to see and try as you walk around and explore. Characters are roaming thoughout the land all the time and interacting with guests. The ride is awesome!! The ride is interactive in which you can be a pilot, gunner, or engineer with 6 riders per ride. 2 pilots, 2 gunners, 2 engineers. You could ride it 6 times and try each position and be a different experience each time, as each position has a different role to play, AMAZING!!

Ryan Carpenter

This place isn't really worth the hype. If you're going for rides the lines are obnoxiously long. Toy Story Land looks great, but lines are way too long. If you want to see shows there are plenty, but most are just mini love versions of what you've already seen. If there's a park to skip, this is the one I'd pass on.

Yoann Lussier

Can Hollywood Studios be kinder... I don't think so. Going to this attraction, you will see screenplays designed and sketched in front of your eyes. They provide fantastic tours where you can immerse yourself in movies and even be part of short clips for your delight only.

Marvin Fontanilla

Galaxy's Edge alone is worth the price of admission. You can easily spend the entire day exploring and discovering all the nooks and crannies the place has to offer. Hollywood Studios used to be considered a half-day kinda park, but not anymore. Take the time to fully immerse yourself in the lore, use the Play Disney app, bite into Tatooine cuisine, and get lost in a galaxy far, far away.

Jason MacLarty

Disney's Hollywood Studios is a great place to visit. It's the park which has the new Star Wars land, which is super cool. It also has one of my favorites, the Rocking roller coaster, Tower of Terror, Star Tours and the Muppets show. Hollywood Studios also has the new Toy Story land that has a roller coaster and two other rides. Definitely have to visit this park if you are planning a trip.

John Skerl

Another great Disney park! They nailed it with the addition of Toy Story land. The attention to detail is amazing. In my opinion, the Fantasmic show was the best of any of the shows in the 4 parks. The Rock N Roller Coaster and Slinky Dog Dash are both must-do rides

Behemoth D

We love it! My kids have time of their life there! Very pleased with Indiana Jones stunt show!

Asa Sargent

The park is coming into it's own, but it has lost something along . It was quirky and unique before Toy Story Land and Star Wars Galaxies Edge were announced. It had the feel of an old movie set and was more focused on the history and future of cinema. They have transitioned to promoting their intellectual property instead of allowing you to feel the magic of movies and how they are made. All that said; The park is still amazing.

Zawnbre

Josie Tav

Great job on creating the star wars land. The millennium falcon ride was awesome, only downside is that it's a 6 person simulator ride and you are assigned by the staff who will be the captains, u cant pick. But amazing ride anyway

mari p

Use to have more rides. A lot of stores to purchase items. Because there are less ridez the rides they do have are a longer wait. This place use to be way more fun and interactive. The Star Wars ride was ok not amazing in any way. The line is an hour long for about a 3 min ride.

M L

Not enough rides for the money! Toy story land is the best! And the Frozen show is lots of fun even if you don't have kids. Beauty and the beast, Indiana Jones are great too but the park definitely needs a lot more rides imo

Chris Blackburn

I have been to the Disney parks a number of times but this year's visit to Hollywood studios was disappointing. Tower of Terror was only working at 50% capacity so the queue times were ridiculously high. They had closed the Great Movie ride with promise of a new ride in the future, but this lead to high queue times on other rides and experiences. I think we were unlucky with our timings as the new Star Wars ( opens 2nd of August) part looks amazing and the new Mickey and Minnie ride also looks like it will be amazing (when built) , but think Disney have tried to change too much at the same time and this impacted those of us who went at this time. I am always keen to experience new rides but Disney need to think about their paying customers in the 'now' as well as continuing to develop new thrills.

Frank Alexander

Hollywood Studios used to be a half day park, but with Toy Story land and Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, there is so much to do and see that I need a whole day just to take it all in. Sure, there still aren't a ton of rides, but what is there is mostly worth the wait. Tower of Terror, Smuggler's Run, and Slinky Dog are worth the trip. Also, seeing a life size Millennium Falcon is enough to take the breath of any Star Wars fan. All in all, what used to be a so-so park is a must do for me now!

T e r e s a L a v r i n c

Celebrating our 22nd Anniversary. Exactly 22 years ago today we started our honeymoon here for a week. Try to come back every Anniversary!! Always a blast with my crazy hubby. Love Galaxy's Edge.. hope more rides will be added over time. Very cool!

Kyle Dettman

This park probably has the most high thrill rides of any of the four. Recently added Galaxy's Edge is a must visit for any Star Wars fan. The layout of the park can be a bit confusing at times though with a lot of tight corners and high walls, so first timers should definitely pick up a map. Food options are pretty limited outside of the typical quick service restaurants and snack stands.
