Here you will be able to see the reviews of people who bought the services of Go Ape Zip Line & Treetop Adventure - Lums Pond State Park (Park) in Delaware area.
Currently the business has a rating of 4.7 out of 5 and the rating is based on 305 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is practically the best one, and it's based on a very high number of reviews, so we can say that the valuation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are happy with the service, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to write evaluations when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Park corresponds to the category of Recreation center.
Please be aware of their refund policy since it was not posted clearly on their website. I made a reservation for two and had unfortunate circumstances which required me to cancel, but I was going to reschedule at a later date but had to see what worked well for the both of us. As a customer I expected to get a refund without much hassle. I made the reservation 2 days ago, for an adventure reservation this weekend, and I was told most likely I won’t get my money back. They were going to give me a gift card for the same amount to use when I reschedule. I hate businesses that operate in this manner. They take your money first and offer their b.s. gift card. They just take your money. Had their website clearly stated this, I would not have gone through with this transaction.
I loved the experience even though I had a very hard time going through the course. I must gain strength and lose weight if I ever think about doing this adventure again. Lol Thanks for the push staff.
This place is definitely for those who like adventure, aren't afraid of heights and are down to get active and push yourself. I definitely underestimated the amount of physical effort and exertion it was going to be but I don't regret it! There's a decent amount of climbing throughout the larger course that I did and there are some opportunities to branch out and choose to challenge yourself with harder routes to the same destination. Not counting the little "training" zip line, there were four in total going over the lake each time. The views are beautiful but if heights are not your thing then this will test your resolve. At some points you are well into the treetops and have to look down to see where you are stepping (not counting the zip lines!). However, while it was a hot day, the canopy from the trees shades the entire course and keeps the sun from making the entire adventure a sweat induced nightmare. I would have definitely preferred to try this in the fall when it was cooler but it wasn't unbearable at all. Just as an FYI to anyone going, make sure to heed their warning and dress for the occasion. Your going to get sweaty and dirty throughout the course and the ziplines end in some very soft but also messy mulch. Don't bother bringing your phone (risky if you ask me) and other belongings and just enjoy the experience!
A very good place to spend a day. GoApe is a good well curated adventure for the family
A great time. We've been here three times now and we had an excellent time every time. I could see getting stuck behind some slower groups and that possibly wrecking you're fun, but otherwise it's worth the fifty bucks.
We went here for a birthday party and this was the best time I have ever had at a kids birthday party. It was more challenging than I expected. It was a real rush. Definitely a great time.
Had a Blast
Staff is always very friendly. Have a 6yo and the staff was very interactive with her, helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an active day.
This is awesome. Totally a must do if you're in the area with nothing to do.
Wow! Had so much fun!! Tucked away in a beautiful state park, this place was all around fun! Staff did a great job with instruction and we felt very comfortable with our adventure!
Favorite park. Besides beach. Parks.
A wonderful experience!
Had a great time at Go Ape! The staff was very friendly and supportive.
It is a lot fun.. Great for beginners zip line. Not too long or too high
I went to this place last week, was a fun day . Zip lining was a real fun. They provide perfect training and most important they really consider safety . Course fees were affordable .Zip lining through and across the water was amazingly fun. They have different rope courses, swings, ladder,Bridges. Good and very safe for children too.
Course is very fun with multiple zip lines. Can get through it in as little as an hour or take your time and do it in 3 hours. This does not require someone in perfect shape, but you need to be able to climb a ladder/rope net at least. The staff is excellent and ensures you are safely having fun. Very beautiful views along the way.
Fun time with friends and family. Staff was very professional and organized, course and equipment was well-maintained.
I knew almost nothing about Go Ape until friend asked me to go with her one day. Wow, blew me away! What a fun and challenging day. If you're on the fence, trust me, go try it, you'll love it! Be warned though, there is the chance for serious injury or worse if you don't respect it or don't take it seriously. I loved it for me and my friend who is also athletic, but I would be very hesitant to take someone who doesn't pay attention AND is in poor physical condition.
Cool place you must try
I do not recommend this. There are not enough safety checks. I took this adventure and was not hooked up properly during a switch over! The people behind me noticed thank goodness. I was exhausted towards the end and could have been the 2nd fatality! There should be someone checking hookups at every changeover! I'm 70 and I thought in good physical shape; but this challenge is for younger folks! My grandchildren loved it.
My family had a fearful and fun time. Lol Of course they are telling me that they want to come back. Staff is very helpful and responsible. Love this place.
Best Place for Tree Adventures and more importantly it is in State Park, Beautiful Park with lake
What a day! A tad scary, a lot of fun and a whole lot of satisfaction as we went through the courses. To tell the truth I was there only to check 'zip-lining' off of my bucket list. However, it turns out that the zip lines were more or less a reward for completing each course. Surprise. Next time I'll read the information on the webpage. lol I can't say enough about our guide, Kevin, who was super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and very encouraging. I guess he thought a 77 year old needed all the encouraging she could get and he was right. It worked Kevin. Wish I could say that we finished all of the obstacle courses but that didn't happen - I completed 3 of the 5 and my step-daughter completed 4 of the 5. But we both went away feeling great about what we had accomplished.
Must have experience!
We had a blast! Beautiful day of climbing up trees, clambering across lines high above the ground, Tarzan Swings, and a bunch of zip lines. The staff were great too, seemed to love their jobs and be having a lot of fun. Took us about two and a half hours to do it all. We will probably go back!
Great time! Easy moderate options as well as more difficult exteame options on 3 of the 5 courses.
Love this place.
Good adventure
My friend and I went to go Apes yesterday and we had a fantastic time I am scared of heights but I conquered every course I did a great and had a great time full of fun laugh and adventure. The instructors was great patient and caring I've been wanting to do the zipline at go Apes for the past 4 years and finally yesterday I'll complete all five areas.
It was fun. A little pricey though.
My experience here was so much fun. The instructors make sure you know how to secure yourself before they let you go out and do the course. I panicked at one point, but I knew that I was properly secured, so I was able to push through. I can't want to go try out their other locations. Highly recommend.
Good place for adults and kids to have fun
So much fun. No one thought I could do it. And I did... Every obstacle. Can't wait to do it again. Great views. Great way to face fears. Awesome staff.
So much fun traversingthrough the trees and ziplining! We did the jr course and the kids had a blast. The adults (myself included) were terrified at first but you get comfortable about half way through. We had such a great time we plan to come back and tackle the adult course!
Great place they help my kids and didn't rush us. Can't wait to do it again
OMG my husband and I had a Great time here. It was so much fun and the staff was great (Shout out to Paige)and our fellow people in the group was great. It was alot of full body strength that you will need to have to get thru them courses but all in all a fun time. Gotta bring my fellow family members that loves a crazy adventure!!! Thank you Go Ape for the best Adventure ever for my bday weekend
Great place, highly recommended
It was a great experience, with a great cast of employees!!!
Fun times and great staff.
It was a great experience for myself and family..loved it and planning another trip there
Really friendly and professional young staff. Good learners course - perfect afternoon for kids. Worth the price.
Really fun must do
Went with 7 friends to go have fun. It was a hot day but the course was in the shade and was very fun! As long as you listen to your instructor and follow the safety guidelines you will be perfectly safe.
This is one of the finest way to spend a very eventful day with friends. Really enjoyed it! We went in a group and 7 of us decided to take the Adventure course which takes about 3 hrs to complete. The cost was $58 per person. It started with a brief tutorial and introduction to the whole activity and safety instructions were repeated quite a few times. Once done, we were on our own on the 5 stage course. The stages consisted of varying degree of difficulty of activities including Tarzan, Zip line across the pond and several 'walking across planks' type thingies. Some of them were scary - especially the last Tarzan swing. It's really something to be experienced and cannot be expressed in words. I overcame my fear of heights and its absolutely safe to do all of them. There is no chance of getting hurt or injuring yourself as long as you follow the instructions of 'staying attached' at all times. I really enjoyed the several ziplines across the pond - 5 in total. Pace yourself well, stay hydrated and enjoy! We had great fun and will definitely be back if I get a chance. At the end of 3 hrs, we got certificate of completion which was an icing on the cake! It's a one of a kind experience and I encourage all adventure loving people out there to give it a go! Enjoy!!
My grandson and his mom loved this place.
Just left, little sore but had great time. Instructors we very supportive and informative. Can't wait to go back
Great experience, I have done this course 2 times and it is a ton of fun! The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. The only reason it is 4 stars versus 5 is the price, it's about $50 which seems a bit expensive. Other than that no complaints!
it is very fun, and you can pick the difficulty on the tree top by going different route! perfect for a group of people with different strength.
We just went there and had a really great experience. The staff were so friendly patient and helpful namely sky pheobe and gabby! They even handled my four year old sons freak attack with aplomb! We had a blast and would highly recommend it for all ages. (Our group ranged from 4 - 39). Even the adults enjoyed the younger course it was plenty challenging! Thanks!
PLEASE READ! I am giving this place a 5 star review but I only had one issue. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable no doubt in my mind and are great individuals to be around with. The courses are fun and exciting with some challenging options for those of us thrill seekers and risk takers. Overall fantastic place to go to. Now my only issue is that we drove there only to find out that no one can go up do to the wind. When asked about it the staff member said they were monitoring the weather all morning but failed to inform other groups that they were shutting down for the day. This lack of communication should be corrected. Aside from that fantastic place to go to!
The staff was wonderful and the course challenging. I went with my 12 yo son and he had a good time. The only thing that I didn't like is for the long zip line I ended up being dragged through the mulch because the cable was low to the ground. this is not a safety issue. safety was great. just a user experience.
Not visible
A scary fun time!
vast area but lacking neatness, it has entry pass for 4$ per day and they also sell the pass which we can take per year for 30$, the park doesnt have proper child crossing zone, though the speed limit is 25, vehicles inside go very fast and it scared me! the speed bumps are few and vehicles dont have contrl when they r speeding! no strict rules followed! Area1 doesnot have restrooms, they provided mobile/sanitary restrooms for time being but they stink, restrooms are not neat and tidy. dunno what they r doing wid the fee that they collect !
Best experience I've had. It was great to try something new. It is a true adventure that you will be braver after lol
Two words. Outdoor Greatness! And the best staff I've ever met. Happy and very knowledgeable. Will be back next week!
What an awesome experience! Felt very secure the whole time. Equipment was top notch. Staff was incredible. Can't wait to go back.
Even though I'm not wildly keen on heights, I made it through fine. The kids and I hade a great time.
We had so much fun! Sad one course section was closed (due to hawk nesting, so totally understandable). We used a groupon so didn’t mind, just wish we had a heads up before we got there
Spent a late summer evening ziptieing the staff was wonderful knowledgeable and professional. Coarse was safe and we'll kept. Will definitely be back
So much fun!
Strenuous Fun!
I did junior and mid-level course for kids. Kids would really love it. Bring your own lunch and drinks. Also, bathroom is walking distance from their office.
Everybody should try this place!!! We had a awesome time here!! We made great memories. You can’t put a star on that.
Good times but need.to.change the course up.
Great instructors and very safe. We all had a lot of fun!
Amazing and fun :)
It's ok for kids
A nice family zipline experience. One negative is that they should mention that there is an $8.00 fee to get into the state park.
So much fun
Adventures Fun! Try something different
Fun and safe summer activity
Must visit place for kids . Tree top is short duration but it's worth
My bf and I came her for a friends birthday along with her bf. Neither of us had been zip lining before and didn't know what to expect. I really only anticipated climbing up a tree and zip lining down... But it was a lot more than just that! I'll be honest though, I was a little surprised how much free range we had after the initial practice. Once you learn how the harness works and what to do, you're pretty much on your own up there! We climbed along the tree tops where there was obstacles, swings, etc. but we were all extremely entertained and had SO much fun! Plus, we counted it as our workout for the weekend ;-) haha. Can't wait to go again!
Really enjoyed the Go Ape, treetop adventure. Highly recommended!
My co workers and I came here for a company party. None of us had been zip lining before and didn't know what to expect. I really only anticipated climbing up a tree and zip lining down... But it was a lot more than just that!. Once you learn how the harness works and what to do, you're pretty much on your own up there! We climbed along the tree tops where there was obstacles, swings, etc. but we were all extremely entertained and had SO much fun! Plus, we counted it as our workout for the weekend lol abosolutely coming back
Go ape is an excellent adventure. The course is well setup and a lot of fun. I appreciated how they don't damage the trees. The zip lines are fool proof... You will land gently if not always elegantly. The equipment was good quality.
Had a great time with my 11 year old son. He really enjoyed the zip lines. Staff was friendly and helpful.
This place was so much fun. Had a great time. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating and helpful. Definitely make sure you wear clothes that you don't mind getting ruined because you will get them dirty. But other than that it was a wonderful time. I highly recommend it.
Great place fun helpful staff. Amazing time.
Kids and husband had a blast!
The kids and I loved this place. The course can be a bit challenging based on your fitness levels...but it's fun giving it a shot
Can't wait for them to open for the season. Our guide was hysterical and knowledgeable. I hope to bring my son when we come back.
Kinda expensive, but well worth doing once.
Went there for the first time from out of state. Staff was helpful and professional. Course was fun and we had a great time. Also if you're coming from out of state you will have to pay an entry fee of 8 dollars to get into the state park that Go Ape is located in. If you don't have cash on you make sure to hit the office up first before you get to the entry gate to purchase your pass or else you will just have to pull a u-turn at the entry gate to go back to the office.
Wish the gps would have mentioned the fact they are closed and schedule is changed.
The course it's self was great as well as the employees but I would suggest looking for a discount before going.
Scary but fun
First time ever having a zip line experience. Had a blast! Definitely a lot of hard work, especially climbing that rope wall in the air. Myself and my husband felt safe the entire time. Their number one rule, always stay attached! Definitely would love to do again!
Excellent!!!!!! Although some sections scared the POO OUT OF ME!!!!!!
Awesome day, the staff did an awesome job and we had a great day!
Great staff. Great park. Great adventure.
This place was a lot of fun!
Great fun for Mother's Day!
Ok
Two mid 60 yr olds loved the junior course and all the personnel !! First, the customer support people I talked to by phone were fantastic !!! The day before our scheduled trip, I needed to change 2 std tickets for 2 junior tickets. They were eventually able to trade a Groupon for 2 juniors and refund the 2nd std ticket. When we got there, all the personnel were very friendly and helpful ! I completed all of the junior course and loved it !! I hope to do the main course next year. My girlfriend was very nervous and got stuck partway on the 2nd loop. One of the guides was able to help her walk back to the beginning. We would suggest that during the initial training, you have everyone simulate falling and getting caught by the harness. This way people know not to fear falling.
Did not try the ziplining
killer good time
Great experience! Highly recommends for anyone who wants a "rock climbing but in trees" activity. Good for a date, family activity or youth group.
Great time for kids and adults!
Awesome place. Staff was very helpful and I felt very safe.
My family had a wonderful time at this Treetop and zipline Adventure. My son was 9 so we all went on the junior Adventure. I think it was a great way to be introduced two zip lines as no one in our family had ever experienced it before. My husband children and adult sister are all excited to go back next year when my son is 10 and can go on the adult course. It was more of a workout than I expected, the treetop course definitely requires you to use your core!
What a blast! Great day full of fun and laughter.
Went early in the morning. Didn’t have to wait long to start at all. The instructor Jessie was really nice and helped make me comfortable even though I have a huge fear of heights. I’d definitely recommend going. It makes you test you’re limits in a fun setting.
Nice place to challenge your self. Kids enjoyed a lot.
Great fun for a beautiful day! The staff is friendly and fun, and keep the safety of the climbers their top priority. The course is challenging but doable for easily discouraged younger ones. The feeling after they completed the course is indescribable. Now they can't wait to come back for another run.
I took my 12 and 14 year old boys. This was our second aerial Adventure. The hands on training started right at out scheduled time and went over all the basics. We then went on 4 runs that each ended in a zip line over water. The safety lines were just there right length so that you were not fighting to keep the lines with you. There were choices in the runs that could add to the physical challenge. I did like that there were NOT spots in the middle of the challenges were you would need to move you after lines around an obstacle. I encountered that with my sons at a different aerial Adventure and it was hard for the kids. The boys loved it, and I was able to keep up with the challenges. The only draw back was the zip line end ramps. I ended up covered in mulch.
The smaller course was great for kids and adults.
Loved the event. Wish they had another way to get started on the 5th run. That latter is very difficult to climb. Even some of the men that climbed it had a hard time.
Incredibly patient, kind employees. I unfortunately wasn't able to continue adter step 2. A good work out for the fit lol
90 degree weather with ridiculous humidity is not the day to go, but they had lots of free water readily available. The staff was awesome - super encouraging and helpful. Training was perfect to prepare you, and watch segment of the course was progressively more challenging. But because you conquered the previous segment, you knew you could do the next. Felt very safe with the harness and safety lines. Fun rope bridges, ladders, cargo nets and AMAZING long-expanse zip lines over the water. Breathtaking!
Excellent place for family time and event. Staff is amazing. Respectful and professional
Great outdoor activity for the brave and yhe bold!
So cool! Great day with the boys. Second visit to Go Ape! (Once in Rockville, now in Delaware). The kids absolutely loved it, and were racing through the course to get to the zip line. Highly recommended. Staff was incredible.
My kids had an absolute blast there.. Highly recommend this place. It is costly for some looking for budget friendly ideas but well worth the price.
Great staff friendly and lots of fun
We had a great time. Check it out you will Love it
Expensive but worth it! It was a ton of fun and I'll definitely be back.
Helpful staff and challenging obstacles.
Survived the cargo net
This was so much fun. The kids and my wife really enjoyed it. We don’t typically do outdoorsy stuff and this was just on the edge of their comfort zone but they all said they would do it again and next time wanted to try the adult side.
Great fun!
Great staff that ensure that you have a great time. Our first trip here got cancelled due to lightning in the area in the middle of the course, but they gave us credit for all the tickets we bought to come back and properly finish which was surprising, but really appreciated. Great place for some fresh air and challenging fun
We went in summer and it was super cool even for kiddos
I went here with a group of 6! Our instructor was Bryce and she was awesome! She was very informative and personable. She learned all of our names and kept an eye on us through the adventure. In general, the staff was really good about keeping an eye on us from the ground and ensuring we were using the equipment right for safety purposes. I am not very comfortable with heights, but I felt pretty safe in this environment because of the staff. Definitely recommend this place .
My husband and I bought five tickets a piece and decided to use it weekly to get ourselves doing some physical activity that wasn't too hard. So we bought the five tickets for the junior course! Today was our first day using it and we had a great time! We are looking forward to the next four weeks and the fun that we will have doing this junior course. We felt very safe. They are very safety conscious and check everything every day!
A good family outing place...
Today I did another tree top adventure at Go Ape in Bear Delaware! Always a blast and everyone who works there is always smiling and has such a great attitude. I always have so much fun and can't wait to share my expierence with my friends and family. If you haven't tried this yet, what are you waiting for?!
Staff were energetic and gave great instructions on how to navigate the course safely. My husband, my 11 yr old daughter and I had a great afternoon. The park is beautiful...the course is exciting without being overly challenging. Perfect Saturday afternoon activity.
I have been here just once but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The instructors were all very friendly and the entire place was well built. There are several levels of difficulty and it's up to you as to which level you want to go to. This is located in Lums pond and once this is complete, there are other opportunities to explore around.
Challenging and fun series of 5 climbs and zips. Good safety training and conciousness.
I had an amazing time. The staff were very courteous and professional. The course was well maintained and the area around it was very clean.
Great time. My wife and I along with our 7 and 6 year old did the junior treetop course and it was perfect. Kids had a blast and an hour was just enough time. Would definitely go again. Also, the harness system and cables are as safe as you can get.
Go Ape is one of my favorite places to visit for any occasion. I have been there 5 times. I love the outdoors and ziplining is one of my favorite outdoor activities. Go Ape is great for any age and fitness level. The instructors are very knowledgeable and concerned about your safety. Included with your price is 5 zip lines, 5 tree top courses, and a safety course. For anyone concerned about safety they have signs throughout the course reminding you what to do. Their are also instructors that walk below you and check in. They offer many discounts so I would suggest following on every social media and checking out their newsletter. If you are traveling far there is a park surrounding it with many things to do while you wait. My favorite part was the Tarzan thing. Its incredible. The treetop junior course is great for kids and a great way to get them away from electronics. They will have a blast. I would recommend this for anyone!
This place is awesome
An exhilarating adventure that I've now marked off my "bucket list"!
Beautiful place! Just recently started coming back here since I was much younger. Used to always come here with my family as a child so I guess we're starting the tradition back up lol. $8 parking for out of state isn't bad. Boat rentals are fairly cheap compared to other state parks I've been to. Can't wait to stay at their camp site!
Awesome adventure! Can picinic by the lake too!
Amazing place
Great experience. Staff were great. Will do again.
Very fun!
needs to be on everyone's bucket list
Fantastic place to test you skills and stamina taking on the challenges 30+ feet above the ground in amongst the trees. Some skill in climbing necessary. Safety instructions and guides great. One MUST FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS IN ORDER TO TRAVERSE THIS COURSE. SAFETY IS A MUST ON THIS ADVENTURE!
The place was well run, very organized. Staff was great and very pleasant.
Exciting, not for the timid.fun
Loved it had the best time.. best part was ziplining across the late
Fun place for kids and adults
A great place to hang out!! It's a great adventure for all ages!!!!
Loved this place. Lots of fun.
It's a lot of fun. It's also terrifying. As some one confronting a fear of heights, it's plenty scary. The obstacle courses were very challenging at points. The staff there were excellent. They were kind and enthusiastic. I would actually like to go again.
My teen daughter did the zip line course and enjoyed herself. Price were reasonable.
Not worth 60 but fun as hell.
Welcoming and customer focused staff. Can only speak for the Journey Adventure, 2 courses were nice openers, if you felt adventurous, you are able to attempt the obstacle courses without holding on to grips. Would go again, would also try the Treetop Adventure.
Nice treetop obstacle course. Our experience was dampened by a very slow group of loud kids in the front. Zip lines are fun. Very professionally run.
More exciting than I anticipated. The way the harnass system is set up does a good job of allowing you to easily pull yourself across obstacles or give yourself a real challenge by pretending the harnass isn't there. Good length. My brother and I are both in our mid 20's and in decent shape. Took us 1.5hr to do the harder path at a moderate pace. It's annoying that you have to pay the Lums Pond Park entrance fee to get to Go Ape. If I did it again I'd plan a full day with hiking/ cook out in the park to get my moneys worth. I would have some concern about the lack of supervision if I was there with children. They do a pretty comprehensive safety brief and training, but with no one actually in the trees it's not hard to imagine someone not tethering in correctly.
Great fun! Phoebe was a great instructor! Lots of ziplines for one course
Nice place to spend with your family. They provide BBQ racks. Kids can have outdoor activities.
It is better than you may think! Our trainer, Jessica, was great and we will be returning!
Great State Park and I come there often and plan to go camping there also.
