Always some kind of logging going on which really means cut the trees down and let them rot where they land. Big fire hazard and the trails are almost impassable.

The blue trail is well marked and we'll maintained. I had a really good time. There were really great views and the hike was challenging, but worth it.

Great trail. Easy to find. Trail was well marked. My 3 1/2 year old conquered the while trail and had a great time. The older children also loved the outing. Can't wait to go again.

Snow shoeing the Falls Brook Falls trail is a lot of fun. Also a great place to set up your hammock in the summer time. There is a Geocache here

One of the newer hikes I've been on lately and have to say it's made its way into my top 10 hikes in New England. The rarely visited hike offers you to become one with nature and enjoy the sights and sounds of a seemingly untouched forest. The trails are marked very well with a blue line. The waterfalls are well worth the short 20-30 min hike, along with the loop.

I didn't actually walk around I stopped at the lake and took a few pictures. It was absolutely amazing from what I was able to see.

We hiked the very northern terminus of the Tunxis Trail. An excellent hike. I misread the topo map and didn't realize how step it is. It a bit difficult to get to and the trail is clearly little used, but still invigorating.

Beautiful forest with many "older growth" trees than other areas in Connecticut. Ample parking along the Farmington river. The overlook view from hogback reservoir is highly recommended.
