We did the time chasers room. We had 10 people ages 8-50 and we all had a blast! The kids wanted to stay an do another room they had so much fun.

Our group had booked for a group of 5 for the time chasers room and were excited for the experience since we had some first timers. We were put together with another group of 5 and did not fully experience the challenge since many of them were aggressive in wanting to solve every puzzle. Our group took a back seat role as we observed for the most part. The experience would have been great if we had the room to ourselves or people who understands teamwork. We would have mentioned it to the staff, but they were in a hurry and didn't seem to value our experience.

I have done a couple of escape rooms spanning from North Carolina to Maryland, and I have to say this location is probably the best escape room in terms of design, technology, and creativity. We were a group of 5 people and we did the Time Chasers: Race for the Cure. Unfortunately, we did not escape the room, however that did not lessen our wonderful experience. Everything was great up until the end when we were greeted by our game master who asked us if we had a great time to which we happily replied yes. Afterward, he led us to the lobby to take our picture and mentioned it was going to be sent to one of us and promptly left without saying anything else. We were slightly confused as to whether he was going to provide something else, but instead we saw him walk into another room. We did not think this interaction would have affected our entire experience because it seems such a minimal tasks for the host to provide friendly service or treat us like valuable customers. In other escape room experiences, the game master would point out what we did well, what we could have improved on, and/or encourage/welcome us back to do other rooms. I can understand if the game master may have been busy with another room, but maybe that should have been communicated. At the very least, he could have given us a proper farewell to which he did not. We would come back to try other rooms, but with a game master like that, probably not.

I had booked the Time Chasers room and it was definitely difficult; however, my friends had LOTS of fun! The room was decorated perfectly to its 'futuristic' theme and each room could have been its own escape room. The different worlds you travel to definitely felt like you were in that world. I had such a great time and I can't wait to go back again to try the other rooms!

Loved that there were multiple rooms, that made the whole experience more fun. Would like more of a more immersive theme with a compelling story, and I'd suggest capping capacity at 8 or under, because with 10 people it was challenging to even get into some of the rooms all at the same time, and resulted in time spent standing outside the room waiting for others to try to find clues and solve the puzzles.

My boyfriend and I are from Long Island, but we decided to take a little day trip to go hiking in Connecticut. After our hike we were sitting at dinner trying to decide what to do for the rest of the day, because we didn’t want to go home yet, and stumbled upon Trap’t. Now we love escape rooms, we’ve done probably 25-30 of them, and Trap’t was definitely one of the best! It was high tech, with a spacious room and the theme was very cool. The clues were all really cool, and none of them get disappointing when we figured them out. We played “Time Chasers: Race for the Cure” with a group of four others. We go out with 3 minutes and 16 seconds to spare, and we absolutely loved it! If we ever find ourselves back in Connecticut, we know where we’re going!

The staff was very friendly and the experience was top notch. I have done a few escape rooms and this one was by far the best. At the time of this review, we did their hardest room and the staff made it very enjoyable. The theme and additional rooms off of the main room was a very creative twist to an escape room and my family and I enjoyed it. I would definitely return and would recommend this to anyone who enjoys escape rooms.

Went for the VR experience. Seemed a little pricey, but well worth it! Great first date. I did have a minor technical issue with gameplay (setting issue) that had me bumping into the real life wall in the room lol but I was able to navigate around- the tech has offered a discount off the next VR experience which I am definitely going to take him up on. This is an amazing experience that is worth every penny. Thanks Trap't Stamford!

The overall experience was great. I found the Museum Mystery room to be challenging and engaging. The clues we received came at just the right time and were super helpful, without giving anything away. While my overall experience was positive, we had a malfunction with the sensors at the end that did not allow us to open the door to the last room. This took away from the experience, I felt. We did eventually open the final door with the sensors, but a staff member had to come in and help fiddle with the sensors. Thanks so much trapt!

I know we are probably the 1st to give a bad review. We had nothing but problems from the start. We were giving bad rules/guidelines. We were told that all clues to leave a room were either in the room we were in or the 1 we just left. But NOT so. Also I have done numerous escape rooms and this one had way to many dead end clues. Wasted way to much time figuring out what clues were real and which ones were meaningless! Won't be going back and won't be recommending it. Sorry but fool me once.......... WOW after talking personally on the pone with the owner, I will change my rating. He was willing to hear me out, not to change my mind but to honestly take everything I said to make sure there would be no miscommunications next time. Some of my group WILL be going back, because we are not quitters and we really do want to have a great time! The 5 stars are for the management's/owner wanting to make sure everyone had a great time and if not try to understand how they could in the future. This is a rare quality that I have only seen a few times, when the owner of a company treats it's customers with TRUE respect! Thanks Stewart (hope that's how you spell your name)

We did “Abducted: Escape from the Madman.” Very clever, varied and tricky. Nice combination of locks, number puzzles, math problems, maps, etc. Great layout and 4 rooms. Fun and NOT easy but with 10 clues for our group of 5 we almost made it out alive! Every one of us immensely enjoyed it and we were already making plans to return with more groups — sports teams, school classes, couples — before we even walked out the door. Good job Trap’t!

The experience and facility is first rate. I was very impressed with the depth of the challenge, and the attention to detail in all of the various rooms. I would really like to see an additional 30 minutes added to the time, as I think we would have finished. Given the depth of this challenge, if you haven't done an escape room before . . . it's REALLY difficult to finish in the allotted time. My family and I will definitely be going again to experience the other rooms!!!

We went for a family day that we purchased for xmas. We were able to get a sale on black friday and couldn't use them till after january 1 which was perfect for us. We had a fantastic time, we did the scary one that had to do with an abduction. It was actually 5 different areas which was really fun. We got out with 13 seconds to spare. But the only thing we struggled with was one of the items were were to find we don't believe was put back from the last group. But with clues from them we were able to be successful in getting out. well worth the time and money.

So I have been to over a dozen escape rooms, and was super excited to go to Trap't in Stamford, as I saw the online accolades. But to be honest, I was surprisingly disappointed. It wasn't the staff, they were good, just the room wasn't good. Poorly designed, weak decor, weak playability. It was the worst I have played, with the exception of a poor mall version that should not be designated as an escape room. We did the Madman room. There were 10 people, us 2, and a group of 8 people. A good designed room in my opinion engages the full group whatever the size. Throughout the whole hour, over half the people sat around and watched, as the puzzles were one to two people, and linear. This room should max out to 6 people, tough with 8, but by them booking 10, it appears to be a money play. I like challenging puzzles. Without giving away anything specific that would ruin another experience, These puzzles most made little congruous sense.. like no way anyone would connect the dots they were trying to connect to solve use that item here. When we solved the room, the person came in and said we used 7 clues which was good, that most people use 10 clues or more... I'm sure we used more than 7 as every clue had to ask for more clarification multiple times.. But there weren't too many puzzles, so basically virtually every puzzle needed clarifying, whats the point? I'm pretty good at escape rooms, and have done many hard ones. None or few of the hinted puzzles I said, wow, thats cool, I should've got that. Every clued puzzle I stopped and said, "really, cmon..." Re: Decor, very basic props, low budget, hand made. I dont usually penalize a place for low decor, though appreciate technology and whistles and bells. Again, without giving up too much, didn't stop ever and say, wow, this room looks so cool. There was a cool element in last room, but wont give that away, but that was about it, and certainly not worth going just to see. Re: Escape, we were given some extra time at the end because gamemaster said we spent too much time in room 1 which was true. But I really wasnt excited when we escaped... super anticlimactic, when usually its a high. Just no feeling of accomplishment for completign the series of puzzles. Staff: People were really nice. Have never been to an escape room without a good staff. But that was good to see Rooms: They say right at beginning there are multiple rooms. I love secret chambers and excitement of areas opening. But you do see all the doors, so nothing too secret in this one. Was really excited to try another one from TRAPt though not sure I will as seem like similar designs being designed by the owner per staffmember. I have tried in stamford Deadlockd and Escape New haven which I thought has a much smoother game mechanics and playability fun factor.

VR was cool. Wear sneakers, learned the hard way at the end of the game the worker opened the door when I had on the goggles and couldn’t see anything and broke 3 of my toes opening the door on them. Game should shut off and players should be able to take goggles off themselves before anyone opens the door because someone could get seriously hurt like I did. Great experience besides that.

Was really fun! Worth the money!! Very friendly group of people who work there, and they explain and answer all question you have about the room you are going to be in. In my opinion, I think the one I was doing should of had maybe about 20 more minutes to do (there was 4 people). The hints that were given are GREAT! they make you think, but are a target. One thing that I did not like was at the end they walked you through on how to get out without asking if you wanted to know. I wish they didn't because it would given me the choice of coming back soon and trying the same one again to try to get out.

From the parking lot, you wonder if you are in the right place; but as soon as you get inside Trap't, it is a great place to be! Clean, bright, interesting and welcoming. And that's just the foyer! Our family of 4 completed the Art Museum. Challenging enough for 2 teens, and clear enough that we could solve th puzzles. Great bonding experience. Strongly recommend it!

I did the Museum Mayhem in a group of 6 (2 of which were doing an escape room for the first time) and we escaped in about 45 minutes. I enjoyed it. Theming was good, but not great. I didn't find any one puzzle extremely difficult and I think if we had a group of 6 enthusiasts this room would've been a little too easy. So on that note, this is a good room especially if you are a little newer to escape rooms. Based on what I've heard, looking forward to trying the Time Chasers room next time!

My husband and I visited Trap't yesterday. We were greeted by the friendly, welcoming owners, Jill and Stuart. The lobby area is roomy and very pleasant to the eyes. We first Beta Tested the new room that will be opening soon.. Time Chaser..AWESOME!!! We then went through Museum Mayham. Amazing room, fun, challenging, and very entertaining! The hospitality of Jill and Stuart was top notch!! We will be back to do Abducted at another time. So if you are thinking about trying this venue... do not hesitate!! You will not regret it!! Trap't is a great escape room experience. All of the rooms have creative themes and unique puzzles to solve. They are all challenging but not impossible solve. The staff is very friendly and professional - they will provide clues when needed to encourage groups to complete the room. Time Chasers is extremely well done - highly recommended.

we went for my sisters birthday. we did the abducted room. we had a full party of 10 people. there was plenty of room for the entire group. the game was challenging enough to keep us entertained with out being too difficult. the staff is very friendly and helpful. the facilities are very clean. this was my third escape room experience and be far my favorite one. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking to have a great time. totally worth it.

The challenge itself was intriguing - the plot was well-thought out, and props/supporting detail were highly creative. My issue was with the service provided at the end of the challenge. I was most disappointed by the low level of interpersonal sensitivity and perceptiveness demonstrated by the staff, particularly as we walked out as at that point the staff had observed group interactions via live video for over an hour. The lack of situational awareness and effort to proactively manage the situation was surprising. At the very least, the team could have acknowledged the experience was less than ideal and invite us back another time. Unfortunately, we won't be returning, and our recommendation is not to pay full price. This was a waste of both time and money.

I went there with three teenagers. We did the Find a Cure/Time Chasers room and it was SOOOO cool. We didn't realize this was the hardest room, and thankfully we got some hints to help us through. It was my first time in an escpae room and I had no idea what to expect. It was def a lot of fun, just expensive. It was $135 for four people for one hour. Shout out to the awesome staff! They were really nice!

This was the first time I tried an escape room so I can't compare this one with any other. I enjoyed it and some people with me who have done other escape rooms said that this was a very good one. We were a group of 7 trying "Museum Mayhem". The puzzles were varied and challenging but everyone in my group enjoyed them and we all worked well together. We successfully escaped the rooms and felt a sense of accomplishment. The hosts/owners were very friendly and helpful in explaining everything we needed to know beforehand. I will be returning to try their other room.

The experience was intricate and well laid out, and we were all impressed by the different levels that were involved. This was our 3rd time at an escape room, and this was the best one so far. We just completed our 3rd room at Trap't. What's unique about Trap't is that it's obvious that these are no cookie cutter rooms. So much goes into setting them up and making it a challenging, yet fun, experience for all players. We were a group of teens and adults and found "Time Chasers" to be awesome (could be difficult if you are a first-time player). All rooms are really unique and the staff is great in "guiding" you through them if you are stuck...or just need a little help. Each room is very different. Great experience . Sends groups into rooms to solve a puzzle using the props in the room. It is well done and the participants really get into the task. Everyone had fun. At the time I busted they only had two sets of rooms but they were going to add more.

This was my first escape room experience but it was great fun. The rooms and clues were very challenging and clever, but our group managed to "escape" at the last minute! Very exciting and a very reasonable price for the amount of fun we had. We loved the extras, like the group picture. The staff was very helpful when we needed a few accommodations.

My partner and I had our birthdays here.we had about 16 guests so we ended up doing 2 rooms. One group did the Time Chasers and the other group did Museum Mayhem. Everyone had a great time and we all want to go back.

We had a great time here. Plenty of parking and easy to get to from both I-95 and the Merit Pkwy. They offer a few different themed escapes. Ours was challenging but fun. I'd definitely go back.

This was my first room escape and I really enjoyed every part of it! The staff was welcoming when we got there and extremely friendly on our way out. This escape definitely had a lot of thought put into it and forced me to use my brain in ways I haven't had to in a long time. I can't wait to go back and try their other rooms!

My son & I have completed every room as well as VR available at this location. That said we would not be returning if service wasn't amazing. We have had a great time each visit. The most current we went over the hour completion time & the staff still let us finish the room without interruption. Looking forward to the next release in a few weeks!

Better than expected. Harder than expected. And they still let us see how the rest of it played out (even though our group totally failed to solve it in an hour). Fantastic date idea. Definitely better in a group, but we could see ourselves going through it as a twosome.

This was my first escape experience and I had a wonderful time in the Mystery Museum Story. My friends and I went together and we really enjoyed ourselves in the rooms. The only disappointment was the customer service we received from Christian, one of the staff members who checked us in. He seemed a little rude and my friends and noticed when checking in. I am not sure if it was because we did not reserve ahead (which is not mandatory) but it was not a pleasant customer service experience. Attending another escape room adventure is in the plans for my friends and I, just not at this facility.

We've played these games all over the country and this was one of the most clever. Definitely needed the number of people recommended as there are a lot of moving parts. Well designed and well thought out. The rooms were also done with great care. Would highly recommend this to a non-novice.

The escape room was fun and challenging, but the lukewarm service took out one star. We went there for my son's birthday party starting at 5:00 pm. When we got there 5 minutes earlier for decoration, the door was closed until we called the owner. After about 10 minutes while guests were already waiting outside Jill came and opened the door without any apology. As a couple running business, Jill, the wife, delivered more frowns than smiles in our party while Stuart, the husband, was quite warm and nice.

Quite a fun adventure for a really bargain price. I tried their race against time room and it was great. Needed some clues here and there but puzzles are not too complicated. I would recommend this place any day.

The Abducted room was awesome; loved it!!! Unfortunately, we shared the room with 5 strangers that were loud, obnoxious and did nothing to include my group of teens, except take control of every lock and clue. I would not recommend sharing with strangers.

Been here twice and both times have been awesome! 4 people worked great with Abduction. Had additional 6 people we were paired with for Time Chasers, but also worked out great. Looking forward to going back to finish the rest!

I and my boyfriend visited this place few time and we like it more and more. We played there escape room and virtual reality escape room. Last time a we tried new VR escape room - Huxley, this game is different from the Escape the Lost Pyramid. It is more about solving puzzles and moving anther step, but we like solving puzzles. You can find out how good team you are with your boyfriend, husband or friends. We can wait for new games come in. We are coming back.
