We stopped by this park on a road trip and were it would be $50 for an out of state vehicle to enter the park. No thank you. So we parked on the street and walked in. Very glad we didn't pay the entry fee because the park has trash scattered around everywhere, couldn't even get to the water as there were 'no tresspassing' signs all along the shore line (at least in the portion of the park we saw). Overall, I would say I was not impressed.

This is our "go-to" beach in NJ. It's perfect for a relaxing day. There is no board-walk. The nature on the natural dunes is very pretty. The changing rooms and facilities are spacious and clean. There are educational exhibits about the natural flora and fauna of the state park beaches. Love it here!

Easy_off_easy_on from exit 26 of I_95 (Connecticut turnpike and exit 1 of state route 8/25 connector. The history and topography of this park is amazing. Awesome for running/walking or playing soccer or just relaxing and take in the scenery and the port Jeff ferries as they cross long island sound between Bridgeport, CT to port Jefferson,new York.

Best place for families to enjoy each other, the ocean, and the beautiful sun. Bath houses are not open yet but will be following memorial day. Along with the concession stand. The skate ramps and two playgrounds by the second bath house keep little ones active for hours. Good sense of community as well

Horrible park. Roads are horrible, the boat ramp is a disaster, they open the park later than most parks around the area. They close the park whenever they feel like it and closes when fishing is just starting to get good. All these 5 star ratings are ridiculous.

We took the bus here because we were out-of-towners and did not want to pay the fee the walk-in it's free this is a very Lively Beach Park. There was a DJ and beach itself had lush sealife, very natural seashells and seaweed the water was very cold. Restaurants needed updating they need some lights and a little brushing up a very dark inside wrong the park was very clean it was a much trash other than napkins they were blown away from people barbecuing I would recommend doing here and I will come again very great experience. I recommend taking the bus because it gets really packed during the weekend. Come early because early because they're little Islands that form kiddie pools 2 p.m. or before.

I have gone to seaside since I was a kid. I've always loved how nice it looked, plenty open space, the large soccer fields where you could host baseball too. The saltiness of the air. Along with that whipping breeze. Plus you have a good chance seeing some horses towards the back. Only issue.. The water quality. I swear Every time you go in that water it's like Poseidon is tickling the bottom of your feet. Plus you can never see what's touching you so you freak out. seaweed? A crab? Who knows you're too busy running out anyway lol.

Nice Beach and very quiet on a weekday after Memorial Day, when it is also free. The sand is full of shells, so kind of uncomfortable for barefoot walking, but pleasant nonetheless. There are several well-placed benches and picnic tables with a nice seaside view of the Long Island Sound, sidewalks for walking or jogging, and concrete breakings for lounging if one is so inclined. Nice place to spend an afternoon.

We visited this park twice. It's beautiful. We enjoyed seeing big birds in a green field and the calm sea shore. Kids also loved playing in the beach. There are some historic statues and interesting structures.

I love this place. Everytime i go to CT i have to go to this beach. They have a playground with sprinklers. They also have a snack bar. They sell cheeseburgers, fries, hotdogs, ice creams and chicken tenders. They have bathrooms. The beach is big they have 4 parking lots. You can do bbqs.

Seaside is a beautiful beach and park. I enjoy plenty of time there in the summer it is wonderfully maintained in the City of Bridgeport is doing a fantastic job. It's much nicer than Fairfield beaches with snobby people that pay $50 to go on the weekend. Seaside is by far a cleaner happier healthier diverse environment. Thank you to the City of Bridgeport for the wonderful accommodations in sharing the beautiful sea.

Seaside park is an awesome place! you can fish off the pier,take in the Black Rock mini harbor also way in the back,there's plenty of room to layout, interesting samples of monuments in memory of local citizens, take your bike or bikes, hash out lovers quarrel,take your hottest friend or just chelax on the beach....take your family pack some lunch for the kids...police presence to keep everyone happy and having a good time......one thing! out of town guest gotta pay crazy money....I know what you think! everybody else does it! why can't we? I say Bridgeport is better in every way, everyone is welcome to the park city! Let's buck the trends,let's all make a stand...after all I would rather visitors see this place and spend there money here even if it's just ice or soda... that's good for all of us..what is the real price of why can't we do it too......honorable mayor Ganim please have someone at City Hall take a minute sharpen a pencil and do the math!!! Seaside Park is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Eastern seaboard. And lively, too! If you want music and barbecue, no problem. If you want some quiet and a perfect place for kids — there’s plenty of space in the nearly 1 mile of beach. When the tide goes out, the tide pools are glorious and you can walk 100 yards out into the Sound with no trouble.

Worst experience ever my family and I went to this beach each paid $40 and mines for out of state plates paid $60. When we got there my boyfriend had his music on his car and this cop comes up to him with a badge saying he is off duty with his family at the beach but he patrols the house behind them and the people that live there are rich people and they always complaining about loud music to turn it down. We had just got there we weren't even finished unloading the things off the cars. So we shut it of took all the things out the car and then we had music on our portable speaker until it died. Then we turned the music on the car it wasn't even loud the volume goes up to 30 and it was on 8 because the table we were at was next to where our cars were.Then another cop pulls up in front of our car comes out with an attitude to shut the music off. My boyfriend tell him that is not even loud and he says that he needs to shut it off that no one is allowed to have music on and the he will give him a chance like he gives to everyone if he comes back and the music is on then him, his car and his whole family have to leave the beach. A few cars down was another family with music on and also told them to shut it off. We had lifeguards driving thru the whole time. Never complained about the music after we stopped them and asked the lifeguards about the music because there is no signs that said anything about music playing. We asked to see if they were any rules and they said no that people are always playing music there on their cars and very loud and that they dont have any rules when it comes to that. This is the crazies thing I've ever heard. I pay all this money to get harrassed by cops because I asked people around us if the music was loud and they said no or if they felt uncomfortable they said no. Not only this place is a rip off with the amount of money we paying to get in but everyone contradicts themselves. I will never go to this beach ever again and if you are Hispanic you shouldn't go either unless u want to get harrassed by law enforcement.

Nice place to walk along the soft white sand beach, and get up close to a beautiful lighthouse. Spend the day grilling (lots of grills and picnic tables along the beach) or just a simple picnic with family.

Weekdays area the best. Weekends too noisy with people playing music out of cars backed up to the sand or on radios at their blankets. No consideration. If the beach was just crowded that's one thing and that's OK since one expects a nice beach to be crowded on the weekend, but to be subjected to loud music one doesn't prefer to listen to spoils the reason to enjoy Seaside Park beach.

CONNECTICUT Shoreline hallmark. Go for great walks on the beach, several spots for a large family gathering, fun beach area and good area Restaurants with a variety of choices for all budgets and palate's. Watch for high traffic for the disappointment that the City of Bridgeport does not and will ticket and tow Motorcyclist who attempt to ride thru Seaside Park.

Cool lighthouse and surprisingly clean water but graffiti on the breakwater, disgusting bathrooms(granted it was the 4th of July) and a 40 parking fee prevents this place from rating higher. If you're lucky you can find street parking on Atlantic st and walk in but you'll have to walk quite a ways !

Big beautiful park. Great on the week day. Parking fee $30/$40 for out of town, more for out of state. Found on street parking by UB, but walked a very long way to the beach and lighthouse. Walked almost 7 miles to the lighthouse and back.
