Clean, modern facility with many activities for all ages. The center has a swimming pool with a slide, an exercise room a gym and rooms for parties and events. The cost is very reasonable.

Asking about the Silver Sneakers Program, Ms. Dynia & Ms Fassman state “we are not able to run the program.” They do not care for Ridgefield’s elderly. Program offered in Wilton, Danbury, Bethel, New Canaan but NOT in Ridgefield, CT. They now require our senior citizens to drive 1/2 hour to participate in the vital program. Who made this decision??? It is time for the City to start this program..

One of the nicest community centers I have seen. I donate blood there regularly, and have volunteered at shelters there during weather events.

I have never been inside of the facility, I have only used the playground and walking path. Bear that in mind. What gets top score for both of these amenities were fully handicapped accessible well before most other parks in the area. In spite of heavy use, this place is extremely well maintained.

Great value for the price. I only have a few complaints; the fitness center is lacking some equipment and not all the staff is the friendliest, but most are extremely nice. They have great resources outside that are open to the public. Overall, the value of the Rec Center outweighs the minor annoyances and is definitely worth going to at least check out the facilities.

Awesome place for some swim time or for some time at the gym. I do recommend it, even in the winter. The water stays warm. They also have a large variety of activities for all ages including fencing, karate, dance and more.

How about a new scale for the men's locker room? I mentioned this to the front desk 4 months ago...still trying to figure out how much I weigh for over a thousand dollars a year! Is Ridgefield Rec Center really that poor? Everything else is quite nice.

Some parts good, gym is big and in good shape, men's locker room not so much. Either Paper towels and or soap are not available weekly, its the running joke at this point. Running a vacuum around daily might be a nice touch also.

This rec center is family unfriendly with too many rules that restrict what facilities you can enter with your child/teenager, even if you are paying for the whole package. Staff are unfriendly and unwilling to listen to brought up issues. Facilities are good, not great. Pool is less than half olympic size and with an excess of chlorine. Chlorine levels are highly poisonous, leaving nose buds and lungs completely saturated for hours. One can see the chlorine fumes rising from the water surface. Manager does not care about safety and comfort of members. We had an all-inclusive membership that we didn't use till the end and much less had the desire to renew so unfriendly staff were over our concerns and despite the center being so close to our house. Classes like pilates and others were mostly repetitive and boring, no variations or creativity coming from instructors. To us, the most important facility is the pool because we've been swimmers all our lives and despite having swum in so many pools around the US and the world, we've never experienced such high levels of chlorine in any pool. Now we drive half an hour to Norwalk to a beautiful olympic size pool with the right amount of chlorine expected. We'd rather drive 30 minutes than to poison ourselves, plus facilities there are clean and really nice.
