Very happy i found this place. I brought my daughters here today for the first time we all had a blast . There is a 3 and under area which is great because the jump place where i used to bring my 3 year old, makes us leave at noon when the bigger children arrive. The staff was very friendly and helpful, one of the girls working noticed i was waiting for the bathroom and walked over to let me know when it was available. Lots of bounce houses and games. We cant wait to go back.

Run down and dirty. Toddler area is especially showing signs of wear. I was really disappointed a grossed out by our most recent trip. My kids didn't notice, and they had fun. But the whole time I was cringing thinking about what illnesses we'd be taking home! I have photos but can't figure out how to post! :(

I absolutely love this place I take my 18 month old grandson here and he has a blast... it's very affordable.. it's fun for all ages.... they have massage chairs for the adults to sit in while watching the little ones running around.... fun games for the little ones to play... and I am never rushed out... truly one of our favorite spots...

They have expanded it with more things to do. They have spinner which is like a bumper car but goes in circles. They also added a laser tag which is real cool.

Not satisfied. The staff stand around talking to each other like it's gossip hour. The website describes how secure the place is. That's not true. They do not and will not check bracelets to make sure a child belongs to that adult. So anyone can walk out the door with a child. Not safe at all. We've gone here many times and are highly dissatisfied.

We had a birthday party for my daughter here. The place is nice, although very loud. The staff was very helpful is getting us setup, and helping serve pizza and cake when it was time. My only real complaint was inside was very warm, even if you were just standing around.

I have been here several times throughout the years. My review is of my visit two days ago (Dec 18'). They have plenty of fun bounce houses for the kids. They also have a nice section for kids 3 and under. However, their arcade is extremely lacking. They have some fun games but most are not working or even plugged in. The two bowling games were non-functioning, air hockey was off, barrel of monkeys was not functioning, and the list goes on. It seems the only functioning games are the ones that you spin and hope to win tickets for overpriced prizes. The number of credits needed to play the games is also very high. None of the machines are flagged as out of order so I found out after putting in $20 for credits. I had just been to chucky cheese the day before and for comparison games were mostly 1 credit vs 4-8 at Joes and all WORKED! The food is lacking and very expensive. I would never pay full price to play there. They just don't seem to care about keeping things functioning. This has been an ongoing issue here. And it doesnt seem that any of the staff has any idea how to troubleshoot anything. I dont recommend unless you get a good deal on admission and expect to just jump among 5 inflatables.

Not worth it the 12.99 to enter. Pizza is bought from an outside source but they don't want you to bring anything outside. They have about four bouncing house. Kids had somewhat fun. Should of went to chuck e cheese!

Year by year..This place is declining. Have been here coming here randomly for a few years. Staff do not enforce shoe rule and kids are rude and teens trample smaller age kids and staff just turn the other way...total anarchy. This place is definitely declining.

I had a birthday party yesterday. There were only 5 kids. I was 2 busy with the kids and i didn't pay much attention, but today one of the kids mom told me that only 4 kids had ice cream and they didn't finish one large pica while we had 2 large pica on the package. I didn't get anything what was left back. I paid full price for ice cream , 2 large pica and juice. I give 1 star because the host was friendly with the kids and thats at. I feel rubbed. She said that the girl hide 1 pica and when we left the room they went in and eat it with 3 other girls from the staff. I feel i want to throw up when i think of this place. The problem is not the pica BUT HIDING THE PICA. How can 5 little kids eat 2 large pica when the oldest kid was 5 years old?

Took my two toddlers on a Sunday. Wasn’t busy, wasn’t crazy but there was a lot of bigger kids. Running up the slides, bouncing around like crazy, not paying any mind to my children along with the other smaller children. There was two workers walking around one was actually playing in the bounce things and neither said nothing to the bigger kids like calm down, the slides are for going down. My younger son got hurt and so did another little girl. We weren’t even there for 45 minutes and had to leave because I was too scared my children would get worse injuries than a scratch, bump and bruises. I feel the two workers walking around should at least told the kids to use the inflatables properly instead on turning a blind eye.

Fun place for kids to let loose, but as a parent stressful! Be prepared to get trampled on. Not all parents keep close eye on their kids and equipment is dirty looking. We were looking into this place for our sons birthday but found a less hectic more cleaner spot.

My 2 year old son loves this place! It is perfect for kids his age especially since there is nothing closer to where we live. It gets boring for adults but we are there for the kids! Never tried the lazer tag or bumper cars.

Ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pizza and went to play with the kids. An hour and 15 minutes later the pizza is not here. They do not make pizza here, they order it from our location close by. The pizza was ordered wrong and are half and half never showed. I asked for credit indicating that I'm going to leave and get lunch elsewhere how much cheaper and faster. What they gave me was one 3 slices with 1 slice of pizza for free yet charged me for everything else. I asked for a refund entirely and they declined. The kids had fun but it's not about that, it's about doing business fairly. If you screw up my experience then I'll never visit again. How hard would it have been for them to refund my money completely and let me move on? We already paid for the sodas so they would lose nothing. Unfortunately Monkey Joe's will not see my family again

This place is pretty good for kids of all ages they had been adding new games and make it bigger they use coin less arcade games using the cards. Just like Chuck e cheese. But even better because there's no actual paper tickets but using the same card to record your tickets you have earn.bathroom are very clean and the staff is very friendly.

See update after original review: Biggest rip off EVER!! 14 99 for 6 bouncing houses( some are age restricted) and u gotta come outta pocket for games too!!! Never EVER again!! If i could give less than 1 star i would. Don't waste your money!!!! 3 months later: I see a post that this place is under new management and that things have been fixed and urged those who were dissatisfied previously to come back for a better experience. Well i was one of the dissatisfied and came back today. Monkey Joes has redeemed themselves for me! It's clean, cool, the staff are very friendly and the games work great! As long as they continue on this path this place can become great again.

They will take your money and offer you minimal service. Their arcade is riddled with games that do not work but there are no signs to inform customers of the circumstances. I’d recommend going to Urban Air in Orange, Ct for parties. Dave and Busters & Chuck e Cheese are also close by. Monkey Joe’s is a rip off hackneyed version of the afformentioned businesses. Don’t waste your time there.

The staff is very polite the time that I went was in the evening so it wasn't really busy or anything they do have a lot of bouncy houses and they have some bumper cars which this time of the day was actually in the dark but they said that they did do them when the kids wanted to play with them but they are additional fee most of the video games we're okay but a lot of them needed repair work the bounce houses did have the added tarps for sliding to protect them but unfortunately they are showing signs of wear on the corners where people grab a hold of them but still functional the bathrooms were clean and well-stocked and they had a nice sitting area and better-than-average snackbar not anything healthy Mind you but I don't really expect it hope you all please forgive the lack of punctuation capitalization and general section structure but I use voice recognition and I'm not going over this again hope this helps it was a nice place in general in an industrial park set off the road very easy to get to though I do however have things that are closer to me that are similar so this will not be a frequent place

Had a birthday party for my kids I was not pleased with time management, planning, and organization. Also I was very displeased that my party events were incorporated with the public referencing laser tag and bumber cars. The kids for my party were in line with the "general public" my party should of only included kids in attendance. There was no guidance at all I had to ask questions for everything several times. The structure of planning and time management must improve immediately. The host was friendly and respectful. Kids from the general public were using obscene language in the bouncers lack of supervision.My experience let's me know management is not dedicating to ongoing training and staff development. Also my party room was not monitored other kids from the facility were coming in and out asking for cake and food. During the cake celebration the host was not prepared for lighting the cake didn't have a lighter then once she got the lighter and it was time to cut the cake she didn't have the cutter. It was small things like that but also is time consuming going in and out of the room. I ordered popcorn that took forever to come I had to ask several times as a reminder. The arcade game passes did not work. Host had to fix them. I also felt as though management had my host assisting with other duties along with my party it just seemed as though she was all over the place. I expressed my concerns during checkout and the reasoning behind the lack of efficiency was due to a party before mines that was extremely late?? Ice cream and party bags/ favors was suppose to be included didn't get the party bags. Ice cream did not come until I had to ask several times meanwhile there was a lot left over and instead of giving me to take home since I paid for 12 kids they put it back in their inventory. Bathrooms needed sanitizing & cleaning. I did tip the host due effort and patience but she has to work on planning. Lastly, my party did not start on time even though myself and guests were on time.

A bit pricey for what they have to offer and the day we were there both parents and kids complained it was too cold. The kids were satiated within an hour of arrival and wanted to go home. I could see it as a decent place for birthday parties but that would depend on how much they were.

We went for a birthday party and had a blast! The place disnt smell of funky feet and pizza like at Chuck E Cheese. Staff kept the place clean (a couple of adults brung juice into the bounce area and the staff was very polite to them) I will definitely go there without a attending a party. Monkey Joe's in Hamden is my daughters favorite go to for active indoor fun. The staff is great, especially the manager. Shes fantastic! Shes always super helpful, always has a smile on her face, always wants to help, and is great with kids. The price is good with no strict time limit. I wish they had a bigger selection for food and refreshments but other than that I have no complaints. The place is usually pretty clean even when it gets packed out on Saturday nights. They do a good job there!

Staff was underwhelmed, they also looked bored and inconvenienced, which is not the face I want my child to be greeted with when they're super excited, happy and curious. I've never really had such an experience like that at a business with my son before, it just rubbed me the wrong way, not sure if it was because the time of day or what because I read positive reviews before I went. My toddler loves this place! Sure, some things need fixing in the 3 and under area, but he doesn't seem to mind. Great price for a great experience! Worth noting that we've never gotten sick after this place and we have after the others. I believe they take an active role in cleaning the equipment. My son is special needs and we've never had an issue, this is our 4th time here and we'll keep coming back!

Attractions The location boasts 5 full size inflatable play areas, mostly slide based, the inflatable play areas are sturdy but are unsupervised by location staff. So watching your children is mandatory. Toddler Play Area The location also has a Toddler Play Area made for children 3 and under. The location is a acceptably clean with plenty of room for your little ones to run around. Arcade The location also has 25+ arcade games to satisfy children of all ages, tickets can be won and exchanged for trinkets at the front desk. Birthday Parties Monkey Joe's offers Birthday Parties options Other Attractions The location also has a Lazer Tag room and an open space for Bumper Cars. Bathrooms The bathrooms are clean, my only complaint is the weak hand dryer Food Food is available onsite, food, water and bottled coffee options are avaiable. Overall Monkey Joe's is a moderately priced I door activity center. Pro Tip Eat before you get there Pack hand sanitizer Leave your valuables in the car

Confused by the recent 1 star reviews? I have been going to Monkey Joes for years with my kids and found dramatic improvement over the last 13 months. Laser Tag and Bumper Cars are a lot of fun and arcade games are always up and running... only 2 machines down when I went there this past weekend. I have been to Dave and Busters and Urban Air, both are also very nice, but be prepared to spend a lot more money at those places. Monkey Joe's is still the best value for your money around!! Will be back soon!

Took our three year old granddaughter here. She had fun. We got there just as they were opening. It seemed like they weren't really prepared for anything. There are signs telling you that no outside food or drink was allowed but they didn't really have anything to offer. The snack bar was pretty empty and what was there was mostly candy. I guess that's why we saw other parents feeding their children food they brought from home. Probably won't go back.

If you have multiple kids, it gets pricey fast. Last time I went was over a year ago. Folks working with the children were friendly enough, but customer service was poor (for example: we walked in and waited to pay for admission for 15 minutes before someone even came to the admission desk to greet us, then they couldn't figure out how to take the gift cards they had sold us at Christmas, and rather than allowing our older kids to at least start taking off their shoes to play, they had us all wait a full 20 minutes more until they figured it out). There is food, but its costly, not great, not always available, and I feel a little uncertain about sanitation, so I recommend eating ahead. There is limited comfortable seating for adults, but not too near where the kids jump.

There are some fun arcades for kids and the bounce castles are a lot of fun! I wish the place were bigger, they could use some more bouncing areas. They did add bumper cars and Laser Tag, which is a huge Plus! It is shaping up to be a lot of fun there.

This people working here were very unprofessional, bathrooms dirty, the little kids section had older kids maybe 10 years old knocking my BABY down, taking toys away from him, telling him to "get out" of the TODDLER SECTION- We were clearly not welcome there. The teenagers working there dont have a clue what to do, ADULTS need to be put in charge!!!!!!!! We paid for my son to be pushed around and bullied for the whole 20 mins we stayed. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!! There are so many other places to take your kids and have birthday parties. This place is trash.

I’m currently at Monkey Joes in Hamden with my daughter and her two cousins and not all the jumpy things are inflated which stinks because we mainly came for them to jump. I asked for fresh popcorn at the refreshment stand after already buying a cold pizza and warm Coca Cola and the manager refused to make it because the popcorn was made a half hour ago but I’ve been here since 12 and it’s 1:39 and haven’t seen anyone popping popcorn since!! I will never come back I am pregnant and wanted fresh popcorn if I came to spend my money here why wouldn’t you just make your customer happy!!!! Bonus points to the bathrooms being disgusting !!

This is a fun place for kids. At peak hours the place becomes a mad house but that's to be expected. The toddler area is clean and has age appropriate equipment. The "referees" are hit and miss when enforcing the rules but if you're supervising your kids like you should you should be all set. The entrance fee is pretty reasonable and Monkey Joe's represents a pretty good value.

After going when they first opened to going this week, I will NEVER go there again. The place was absolutely disgusting. Both bathrooms (for kids and adults) were so dirty I couldn't let my 4 year old touch a thing. When I saw disgusting, I mean no soap, diapers overflowing and the stench was awful. Urine all over the place. I mean it was god awful. Her clothes came home and were put in the wash with bleach...The guy at the desk with miserable and suddenly disappeared. The guy behind the concession stand was busy with his iPhone and Apple Watch that he couldn't be bothered. When he got up he was mopping the same area for 15 minutes and couldn't be bothered with anyone else. Stunk like chemicals that I asked if he could stop. Again, couldn't be bothered. I attempted to tell him about the facilities and he could care less. The place is the bottom of the barrel. When you put a place like that in the "ghetto" it becomes "ghetto." Families, be aware. It's a waste of money and you're bound to get grossed out after paying. Never again will I EVER go to this place. There's so many other places that are worth trying. Monkey Joes...you're disappointing. Close down, clean up, get new employees, and then try to re-open. Your facility is by far the worst thing I have ever stepped foot in.When my 4 year old asks to leave...you know the place is vile. I really hope the health department comes to inspect because this place needs to be closed down!!!!
