This place was our family's favorite camping area when we were younger. I can't tell you how many times we camped, swam, fished, hiked & just summered here. Great memories! The coldest water to swim in around! Back then the man-made pond water was pulled in from the brook & completely recycled every 21 hrs, I don't know if that flow rate is the same today but baby, it was cold!

Deziree Tarot Readings

Quiet, nice walk, dog friendly. River for fishing and great place for kids to catch minos and frogs.

One of our favorite hiking area with beautiful natural rock formations. Table Rock, Indian chair, and the small cave that was the wolf den. Trails lead through stretches of mountain Laurel and the sound of rippling Brooks are almost ever present.

Padraic Hagan

Great local state park. Small pond with beach. Sometimes gets closed due to runoff. Creek is great for kids to muck in. Pavilion is a nice picnic spot, along with other nice spots with tables by the creek. A couple of campgrounds, multiple great hiking trails. Wolf Den, Table Rock, and Indian Chair are good hike destinations.

Chad Amons

It is a family oriented campsite. There is a field for gaming and outdoor activities in the middle. Restroom is decent and within walking distance. They do accept walk in. But just to be safe, it is better to make a reservation.

Luis Lopez

1st time here and we did a full loop around mashamoquet. It came out to about 4.6 miles and took 1 hour 51 minutes to do. Saw Indian chair and the wolf dens along the way. Beautiful beginner hike and would do it again in heartbeat.

This was an awesome camping experience! The staff were delightful. When we asked where we could buy cream for our coffee, she brought us some so we wouldn't have to make a trip to town. Clean bathrooms and hot showers. First time camping in Connecticut and we'll be back.

Frank Stellato

Went on labor day weekend and the park was empty. The picnic tables look like they were placed there in the 70's and haven't seen much use since. The little charcoal grills near the tables looked new though. The entire park looked like it had chops back some years ago, but maybe doesn't attract a crowd anymore. The entrance had a gate for a greeter but it didn't look like they ever need to staff it. Shame, maybe everyone stays inside nowadays. As for the layout, we had a good time hanging out with the dog by the brook near the entrance road. There was a trailhead close by but we weren't in the mood for a hike. Easy parking. Easy to find. Not too far off of 395. Check it out if you're in Northeast CT and just want to drop in and look around.

Sabrina Collins

Things are changing so much since the past years

Cindy B

Peaceful

Went on the first Walktober Tour of 2018. Approximately 3.5 miles through Wolf Den Park along the blue trail to the Indian Chair, Wolf Den, and Table Rock. Excellent trip, trails are rough in some places.

My family came here today and we have fun although the bathrooms are quite small for such a large crowd. You have to wait to shower. Wake up early. I recommend it. I can't complain. Nice people around.

Quiet, serene, low light pollution camping with likeable helpful staff. Beautiful hiking right from the camp site. Fantastic and easy groomed bike trails a short drive away. Kayaking too! The ONLY problem was the overly hot temperature of the shower. Although uncomfortable, it was not a deal breaker, but it would be if we had kids in our group. Way too hot!
