Had a fantastic time here! Tried two rooms with a group of friends and they were incredibly well thought out and felt as real as you can imagine. The family owners who also do everything from booking to running the rooms are fantastic and very helpful and informative. You can see the passion in all of them in what they are doing. For my first escape room experience it certainly far exceeded my expectations!

Just an amazing experience all around. We booked one of the escape rooms (Dragonborne) for my son's 9th birthday party and everyone had a great time. The staff was amazing with the kids and helped them navigate through the room, but also let them solve the puzzle and escape on their own. It was a great time and the kids had a blast. I would 100% do this again and plan on booking more party and corporate events here in the future. One of the best escape room experiences I've had, hands down.

I was pretty reluctant to try out an escape room, but I had so much fun!! It was a super fun puzzle to try and figure out--great activity to try with friends! (Also, they do NOT actually lock you in if that worries you. Nor is it too scary/creepy)

Awesome escape room experience! We had 3 kids in our group (ages 9, 5 and 3) and everyone had a good time in the prison room. We also had a chance to do the dragon room. Our guide was Eric, and he was great at setting up the rooms and the stories for us. The facility was nice and clean, and there was room for one kid to relax when she no longer wanted to be in the room. This was my first escape room, and I would definitely go back again.

I’ve been to 2 other escape room places & this is by far the best one. All the rooms look super authentic. We did the Dragonborne & it was a blast! Every prop works so well. The owner was nice, helpful, & very encouraging. Everything was super clean and they even have free locked lockers for you to put your stuff in. This place is absolutely wonderful & I will definitely be coming back for the other rooms. Don’t forget to sign the wall after escaping!

This company is the best escape room company in CT that we’ve found to date in terms of both quality and difficulty of puzzles. My husband and I and children (11 & 8) have visited both of Lara’s locations and completed 3 rooms to date - The Dragon room, the Egyptian Room and Museum Heist in East Haven. The sets and practical effects of these escape rooms are really amazing - like movie set amazing. It’s not the usual lock and key overload you get at some of the other escape rooms. The puzzles are hard and many of them are mechanical where you have to use the props themselves to figure stuff out. And the escape room host we had at the East Haven location was just awesome. He gave us hints without telling us what to do. His hints were hints. Of all the escape rooms in CT we have done we liked Museum Heist the best. We’ll be back to do cell block and Meltdown.

We’ve done quite a few escape rooms in CT and the production values and immersion in Lara’s rooms is truly top of the heap. We did both the Prison Cell Block and the Egyptian Tomb and the puzzles were both logical and streamlined (i.e. not a ton of excess “stuff” floating around to keep track of — once the puzzle is over, you put it aside and move on). Staff was super friendly and the location was immaculate. Great job, guys — will definitely be returning for the other room (Game of Thrones/Fantasy themed).

We completed the Egyptian themed room. The room was detailed and elaborately designed but relied almost exclusively on electronically controlled trap doors/special effects in order to escape. Three of the major special affects were malfunctioning so our room kept having to be reset/the person who was working had to keep coming in and manually resetting parts of the room. We were also given some misleading instructions (I.e., things not to touch) that we actually needed to use to solve the puzzle. There was also no definitive ending/conclusion to the puzzle. All in all a disappointing escape room experience.

I've been to several Escape Rooms throughout the state and I have to say, this is the best one. I did the Cell Block room with 6 other adults and it was great! Logical clues, but tough. Things were detailed and it was a lot of fun solving each puzzle. I will be back to solve the other two rooms and am patiently waiting for Red Riding Hood to be available!

We did the Dragonborne room. Family of 4. It was pretty tough. The first puzzle was really complex and we did get hints. But once we got past that stage, we hit our stride and we did quite well. With 10 minutes to spare, we got the dragons eye. Very fun. The room master showed us some of the other themed rooms and they looked cool. We’ll be back!

We enjoyed cell block 4 for my husbands birthday! Lara’s Labyrinth has some really cool high end puzzle rooms, the space is designed very trendy and we loved the outfits and photo props at the end. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, we will for sure be returning to try out the other rooms.

I loved the vibes each room gave and wanted to do all of them. I staff was so welcoming and kind. I would go again and recommend it to others as well!

I have done many escape rooms, this is one of the best! Great game design, realistic sets, and awesome employees. I went for my daughters 10th birthday and there were 6 screaming excited girls asking a million questions, the game master showed an incredible amount of patience with the first timers and made the hour one the girls will never forget. In fact we had so much fun, we went back the next day to do another room!

Couldn't have had a better experience! I went in as a solo solver due to living far from friends, and the entire team were very welcoming and went above and beyond to help me out! I took on both The Curse of Osiris and Dragonborne, and both were fantastic. Beautifully themed, high-quality props, and a solid challenge without ever feeling overwhelming. Everything you need to win is there, no deception or red herrings to waste your time. A must-visit to newbies or veterans alike! I will definitely be bringing my friends to play Cell Block 4!

Awesome experience in Cell Block 4! I went with a group of 4 20-something’s and we had a blast. The room was challenging and we were solving things right up until the end of the 1 hour timer. If you call ahead you can reserve the room for just your party at no extra cost which is great. It’s also BYOB. Also love that it’s family owned and operated! Would definitely come again to do the Tomb of Osiris.

I did my first escape room with my family at the start of the summer and have now completed 9 around the area. I can say for a fact that Lara's Labyrinth is the best of the companies I've tried so far. The level of detail in each room is movie quality and the puzzles aren't just a bunch of boxes with keys. There are practical effects that also unlock clues. If you are looking for a great experience you should try this company. I took my team from work to doo Cell Block and it was a great experience. So far my favorite room was Museum Heist in East haven, but Dragonborne, the Egyptian Tom, and Cell Block 4 were also really awesome.

The customer service is fantastic, and the puzzles are diverse and well thought out. The props and environment are very immersive, and the game masters are really fantastic about either guiding you or letting you sweat a little, depending on your experience level and preference. This is by far the best escape room I've ever been to. Escape rooms are one of my favorite things to do and while visiting my parents for the holidays we all went to Laras Labyrinth on a Saturday afternoon. They were really welcoming from when we first walked in. We chose the cell block escape room. It was a blast. I'm not going to go into too much detail because I don't want to ruin it but the room was really clean and all the props worked really well. The person was attentive to us and if we needed any clues she would quickly respond. It made for a great experience. We are already planning our next trip back!

Are you looking for a GREAT time to spend with friends, family or that significant other? While there are tons of things to do out there, I can honestly say that the escape rooms at Lara’s Labyrinth (we went to East Haven location) are some of the most fun, engaging and authentic escape room experiences out there! A friend and I brought our kids (2 girls/2 boys between the ages of 8-13) and they had the time of their lives trying to escape from Cell Block 4! The rooms (we were able to view some of the others afterward) are all set up to look authentic and the clues are designed to challenge players of all ages. The AWESOME thing about each room and game is that the game master can provide plenty of clues or hints (GREAT FOR KIDS) or none at all for the most seasoned adult players! Upon completing the game, my 10 year old immediately turned and asked if they could go in and try another room!!! While my friend and I waited for our children, we saw some other people (adults) attempting to escape from another room and it turned out this was their second time in as many weeks. To top things off...the owner is a fantastic guy who spent an additional 40 minutes letting our kids try out the new VR games they plan to house in their new state of the art VR rooms! Will we be back??? ABSOLUTELY! This experience at Lara’s is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL! -CJ

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!!! Did the Egypt/Indiana Jones room with sisters and it was soooo FUN. The music, lighting, set...so immersive. Our game master was great too. The props you can pick from before going in to get into character made the experience that much better. This was better than other escape rooms I’ve done. ALSO you can byob. Pretty cool. From the staff and the environment to the difficulty of the puzzles, everything was fantastic! Went with one friend and they not only accommodated us with two other members to do our first room, they quickly helped us get into our second room because we were demolishing the escape rooms! They were hard and well thought out. You get to sign the desk when you win which is awesome, and they sent us pictures of us afterwards! The staff genuinely cares too, would 100% work with them if I could. This was my second time doing an escape room, my friends first, for context. :)

My wife and I have done 20+ escape rooms, and we like this place. They currently have 3 rooms, and we've done 2. The rooms are well constructed, with few snags. Puzzles are relatively intuitive and good variety in type of puzzle, story line is good, decor is good. Will happily do their 3rd room when we get a chance. 4-6 people per room would is ideal, more than 6 would be crowded.

I love escape rooms and have been to many throughout the state. This was by far the best experience. They really immerse you in the theme (right down to coordinating costumes!). We did Cell Block 4 and it was pretty difficult. We escaped....with some help and "flossing!" The puzzles were challenging, but great and it was nice to be working ok multiple things at once so everyone was busy. The owner had a great sense of humor and made the experience more enjoyable. We will definitely be going back to do their other 2 rooms. I would highly recommend Lara's Labrinth if you like escape rooms or want to try one for the first time.
