The best park i have been in Meriden
Hubbard Park is a great place to go to and have your picnic and fish and go swimming
Lots to do here for the whole family all year long. Playground, feed the ducks, hike, take a stroll, attend a summer concert, springtime daffodils, winter xmas lights, etc.
Had a nice time
Excellent as usual, My children enjoyed the Parade, Stork Club marched and Hunters Ambulance ended the parade, both my kids work at these places, always a goodtime. A lot of fun and food and No Rain a big plus❤️
I got turned around with my GPS directions and saw a truck with a trailer full of Xmad three so I pulled over to the park. I followed them till they stopped by a bldg in the park. I asked for assistance and they obliged and gave me the options of where to finish my correct destination! Thank those city employees for their time and assistance!
Nice park for a hike.
Great park. Band shelter. Mountain roads, castle Craig
its a nice place. nice parks. the castle pretty good. all around good place. on jah.
A beautiful Park in a beautiful area of Meriden. Yes you read that right, Meriden. Very clean. Nice trails etc
Beautiful park, lots of open spaces, plenty of hiking trails
Great place to go for a walk, check out the daffodils, and animals in the pond.
Great place to visit during daffodil festival in spring. There is a parade, carnival rides, face painting, character meet and greet, lots of daffodils, good food and music.. overall a great place for a day out for families...
A lot of fun a little overcrowded but a lot of food to eat and things for the kids to do
Best park in the region
A nice park with a great surprise if you follow the road up to the tower at the top! A great view!
For many many years I’d go here, from walking to fishing to even just relaxing, everything is enjoyable here. They have great hiking trails, a nice playground and overall makes for a fun experience no matter the age!
Playground is big. Plenty of parking. Lots of places to picnic. Amphitheater sometimes has bands. Come back near Christmas to see the lights!
Lots of trails. Great with our puppy son
Beautiful park with water features. Daffodil fest in spring and holiday lights in December are especially great times to visit.
Every time i go it reminds me of my childhood. It's even better around the holiday. Great place to bring the kids and just enjoy your family
Beautiful place, was my first time there!
I love it here! It's so beautiful! I love to be outdoors, love nature, and I appreciate the daily scenery and the festivities of the seasons! I love the Christmas decorations, and I love the 4th of July fireworks! It's a beautiful place to walk or drive through! Two thumbs up and lots of smiles of kudos! (2018)
I love Hubbard Park. I have been going there since I was a child. I just wish people would pick up after themselves. There is a lot of litter and the city should start cracking down on it. Its a beautiful park.
I come every year for the puertorican festival and is really good.
Great place to walk and Others
Hiked from Hubbard part to East Peak area. Good hike and great views. The maps trails / trail blazes are often confusing and having the trial going I more than 2 directions at once. Not for the first time hiker. Trails are rough with broken stone. Wear good footwear.
The Christmas light display is great, and you don't have to pay to see it.
Beautiful park. Hike the trails or walk the road up to Castle Craig for a stunning view of the Hanging Hills around Meriden and a view to New Haven harbor and Long Island Sound.
Lovely park. I came upon it by chance and spent a pleasant afternoon by the duck pond. Lots of police presence in the time I spent there, but I don't know if that's common.
It wasn't packed abd not to stricked
Great place especially in the winter with the Christmas lights...
Such a great spot to spend time, only problem for the most part is the people, by a certain time it becomes the neighborhood hangout and pigsty. If you're taking young kids I suggest you go very very early.
Best park to bring my kids to.. such wide open space, great walking trails..5 stars well deserved.
One of the best parks in Ct !!! There's so much to explore!!! Must see.
Okay VERY nice Needs more seating PLACES
We love this park because we love to walk up to the hills and eat a light snack, talk with friends that we walk with. We love it.
It was beautiful the setting was awesome only down fall is that the litering was upsetting to see but overall nice
Wonderful park to picnic, listen to live music, watch wildlife,...
Great day at park cookout with friends!!
A shut be more clean..and safety
A beautiful Park to walk around. Beautiful scenery
Beautiful park designed by the same man that designed Central Park in NYC. Lots of hiking trails, places to picnic, swimming pool, playground and Castle Craig that you can drive up to in warmer months. Plus they have The Daffodil Festival and fireworks every April which is a lot of fun. One of my favorite local parks. More like a state park than a town park. They also have the holiday light display in winter which is nice and it's free.
Great park! Nice place to have a BBQ, but the problem is the bathroom situation. My guess had to ride to stop and shop to use the restroom. Including my 7 month pregnant wife... need to do something about this ASAP.
Wonderful place to be outdoors. Love the playground. Wish there were more trashcans and more bathrooms.
need more in park just trees and geese, ducks and other things i guess its ok to park and sit
IThe Hubard Park is looking beautiful with daffodils flowers. They are getting ready to the festival.
My son's go to park to monkey around and feed the ducks
I stayed to watch the sunset (beautiful) and also enjoyed watching the ducks
Very nice hiking trails. Good lighting display for the holidays as well. Just go when it's warmer.
Great Park to spend the day.
Well managed..great family place..
Cool place I lovet was so great to feed the duck's
Nice place to go for a walk with your kids or pets, the parking lot is good, the place is huge on itself, one of my favorite places....
Peaceful and Serene park...at 8 am.... Great place for a cool walk.....
Visited the park for the yearly daffodil flower festival. We all had a great experience. There is a nice hiking route too.
Beautiful park with lots to do for everyone.
Great place to bring kids and adults
Excellent place to visit with friends and family
Daffodil festival so much fun
Gorgeous park with a very challenging trail up to Castle Craig. Park looked well maintained. The white trail was a little confusing but I may have been distracted by a friend who was hiking with me. The resident ducks have their own coop for inclement weather. It's very cute. The first two hours after sunrise and the last two hours before sunset will allow for the best photographs to be taken.
Great city park in Meriden. Always something going on, and a great place for picnics and just relaxing by the pond. Playground is well kept (just don't attempt the porto-potties, yuck!) and clean. Daffodil festival in the spring is an annual rite of spring, and with the fireworks in July, rounds out the two fireworks shows in the city each year. Castle Craig is an interesting artifact and a nice walk up there, or pleasant drive during the on-season.
The best place for a piece of mind... And hiking spot...
Good hiking up the mountain. Different trail s mostly easy. Good views at top.
Amazing Enviroment, Has Definitely Improved Since I Have Lived In The US.
A bit rocky, but nice views
Nice place to hang out. If you don't like birds you might not enjoy it there. There's hundreds of geese, ducks and pigeons
Beautiful Park
An amazing place for the whole family with lovely views from the top of Castle Craig!
Great place to spend time outside.
I love this park. Lots of places to park with great views of the woods, pavilion, band shell, or water features. If you like playing pokemon, this place is for you. Walk around the lake for a bounty!! Lots of walking trails, a kids playground, and many other activities. There are different events held throughout the year.
I was feeding the ducks and this woman came up to me and said i was doing a kind thing feeding the ducks we started talking as i was leaveing she told me that she has to give me something for being so kind she had a gift in her car to give me she was parked be hind me i got in the car it was starting to rain and she gave me a gift i would never forget she told me that i feed the ducks and she wanted to be fed also she open her mouth and place her on my lap i fed her i will never forget 2018 and i cannt wait to feed the ducks tomorrow. And i love SUV what a car and a hell of a women
The trails are varied in width and challenges. The bugs were not bad. I will definitely return. Once nearing the top views are good and from the top are breathtaking.
Nice place. Great little walk around the pond
A nice park to spend an afternoon at. Duck ponds holiday light decorations and daffodils festival and a castle on top you could go up into. Generally a nice place to visit.
Beautiful park. Especially during the winter with the Christmas Lights. Summertime you can feed all the geese, go to the pool, the park, walk around or drive up to Castle Craig. Good place for a first date (fyi)
Very nice place Gorgeous view
Great place for kids/family. You can have a great family time here. Lot of people can be seen partying here. I went there for picnic. Quite place, away from the traffic noise. Calm and peaceful place. Great place for busting your stress.
Very nice clean beautiful friendly atmosphere
Such a beautiful park we'll kept too
Many find memories. Tennis courts swimming pool water foul and a nice place to walk.
The portable bathrooms were very dirty. We had to leave the park to find a bathroom.
Really nice park
Beautiful Park, just visited in the fall and enjoyed a colorful walk along reservoir. On a clear day be sure to enjoy the view from Castle Craig at the top and in the Spring be enjoy thousands of daffodils!
Nice walk around the pond and very nice playground.
We took a hike on the trails which were challenging but fun and we'll marked. We hiked from the park to the tower and back down again. The trails are technical in certain parts and very rock throughout. It's a moderate on All Trails so proceed with some caution if you don't have experience.
Great experience had alot of fun
Great park for picnic areas play ground pond and relax reconnect with nature in Christmas they decorate the whole park with Christmas lights beautiful...dont miss pass by and have the experience ur self.
Travel we went see so beautiful place
Quite and clean. Just beautiful
I really liked this park. Im wondering if they decorate or do anything for christmas.
Awesome. Great trails and beautiful lights during the holidays.
I love Hubbard park
Quaint. Worked in Meriden for a year before realizing how close & great this park is. Even enjoyed a friend's wedding here this summer!
What a great park to be! kids love it here and we keep on coming back again and again. Nature lovers will love it.
Great lovely park free to visit. So proud of my hometown
Love going at Christmas time with my family. It’s became a tradition.
What happened to the dinosaur prints?
Godly natural beauty
Nice but only a few dadofills in the entrance. Well organized.
Annual Christmas Lights in the park. Expect a very long wait as it's a immensely popular event.
It's beautiful here and just so relaxing. My boyfriend and I come here almost everyday.
It's beautiful, family friendly and free
We stopped here for a quick rest when driving down to Virginia. It was a great place to walk the dog around and stretch our legs. I didn't see any bathrooms. So we stopped somewhere else real quick to use the restroom. There were a lot of ducks and geese to enjoy and the pond was serene. It was the perfect place for us to stop.
Beautiful playscape for the kids
Beautiful hiking trail and others
One if my favorite places in Meriden especially at Christmas & 4th of July
Nice park with multiple trails of varying difficulties. Great views from the tower!
Duck feeding is fun with the kids
Loved the lights at Christmas and the playground and hiking with my friends and grandchildren
Very pretty park for a stroll in the evenings with a beautiful lake in the center. I visited here for Christmas lights display.. it was decorated beautifully
Great place to bring the kids
Amazing Best place in town
Nice place to relax with nature.
Arts in the park was a wonderful, well run event. The weather was beautiful.
Really a cool park and the tower and lake are quite nice.
I love this place. I've been going there since I was a child. I also brought my children there for picnics and to let them fish. They always had a great time feeding the ducks and also playing at the playground. I hiked it a few times. The scenery is breath taking. Especially in the Fall
Very good job by the town of Meriden this year. It seems like there were a lot more lights more displays, and good flow of traffic. Much better than previous years. Keep up the good work
Nice place for a hike with the kids. Their favorite hiking attractions: the pedestrian highway overpass, the gazebo with a scenic view of Meriden, the reservoir, the tower, and finally the playground at the end.
Open great space for family bbq or just to walk around nice big park n pool for Kids out all ages! Fun, ducks, geese, and lots of places to have a picnic for the day open grass everywhere n water falls ..so pretty
Nice people and good food. Some very good prices and some high price. We enjoyed ourselves
Great place to walk and relax
Puerto Rican festival!
Dirty garbage everywhere. Water we as a disgusting. Drive to the
Relaxing park, I would recommend it to friends.
Nice place for everyone
Great park, hiking trails are well maintained
Always a fun time, arts in the park was so good!
This us an awesome park. Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed. I have actually done a few photo shoots there because there are so many different beautiful scenes. They have a free Christmas lights show during the month of December, maybe for a little longer. The only things I would say are even somewhat of a negative are that it could be a little cleaner and It would be nice to have the castle open more often. Other than that, it's a great, family/dog-friendly place with a huge play scape for kids to play on.
Ok place, map was super hard to follow
Great for kids. Theres alot of trails going up to the gazeebo or castle. You can go fishing or swimming. Theres picinic tables and grills. And a kid park. They have tennis courts and alot of grassy area tp lay out or play catch or whatever. Alot of people have parties there.
A gem in Central Connecticut, with wonderful hiking up to and around Castle Craig, fine recreational facilities, and a great holiday light display.
Great for family or alone on a walk or a run.
Very pretty place but defiantly a heck of a risky and tough work out. (Especially ricky for carry on such as cameras) Very easy to get lost too so just be aware of the trails beforehand.
Was here on a chilly Nov day. Ducks, geese, and pigeons (who are not shy) hang out on the pond. Nice walk around the pond. Strangely, there are no benches along the walk which I find disappointing since my elderly parents at times need a place to sit mid walk.
Beautiful place to spend time at.
Little bit crowded. With limited public restroom.
Love this park. It has a nice play area for kids 3 and up, pool, annual Daffodil festival, Hubbard castle, pond with ducks and walking trails.
hubbar park is a pretry cool guy. eh has geese and doesnt even quack
Cute little park in Meriden. Annual daffodial bloom and festival is particularly nice to see. Also, if you're a pokemon go player, there are three EX gyms there.
Very nice and relaxing for a family outing or to just get some alone time.
Quiet beauty in a big city.
Fun place to visit and hike! We brought dogs here and they enjoyed it as well!
Great park. Something for everyone.
A great park has a great water fall to take pictures a hill to hike show the fire works on the fourth of july..you can feed the ducks..Ride your bike around a nice park for the children to play with swings and all.a great place to have a cook out as well and a lot of trees for sun or a sun tan.five stars for being a great park.a pain to get out when crowded.but plenty of Street parking if you don't mind walking a little great place to be in the summer.
This is a beautiful park! They have multiple places that make great backdrops for photos of all occasions. The best spot, in my opinion, is the waterfall. It has a huge playscape that is great for all ages. A pond where you can feed the birds. As well as many other things. There is just too much to say about this park. If you're looking for a place to take the family or place to have a nice picnic, this is the place. My fiance and I actually had our first date here. It's a beautiful place to just take a walk and enjoy the outdoors with someone you love. Hope this helps someone. Have a great day!
The drive to the castle was so over grown 2 cars have trouble passing eachother..
Beautiful bird island and park. Serene and enjoyable
I went for a walk around a little pond with my fiance who has some walking challenges. For the most part it wasn't even and some parts for gravel it was actually a really comfortable like walking path. The punt self due to probably visitors at some garbage in it that was sad to see. Overalls a little pork roast ice just needs a little pickups.
Beautiful day at the Park.
Big great for romantic walk thru parl
I sit here every morning and look across the pond feed the dogs every once in awhile but I sit here every morning and take in the beautiful scenery
Pond to fish. The park is clean. i think they have grills to cook and picnic tables. Walking trails that also lead up to the tower at the top of mountain, and if your lazy like me you can just drive up the mountain. Great views and i think its the highest point in CT
Great place for hikes solo or with a group
Very Beautiful Park, RELEASE your STRESS by a slow drive to Tower!
It was a great ark..but its gone down hill for concerts and recreation.
