All new facilities since the fire in 2013. Not recognizable, since our last visit. Great parking for cars smaller trucks. RVs park a little further away. Admission is much steeper since our last visit, now $28 for adults. Ride gondola over, and walk back...a chance to explore the bridge. Make sure to see the old steam engine 499, parked in parking lot.

JJB 632116

The one negative I can say is the price. It was around 25 dollars to enter the park. All we were looking to do was to walk across the bridge and check out the views. The price is way too much for that. They do have a bridge only price but you can only get that an hour before the park closes. The views are fantastic both from the bridge and looking down on it from the viewpoints above it. It is neat how they have all 50 state flags hanging along the bridge. Walking across the bridge you can feel it swaying especially on windy days. The view of the river below is pretty amazing. It looks so small from so high above it. We did also enjoy the free movie they show about the park. Very interesting stuff. We arrived as the park was opening so we had no problem finding a space. However by the time we left the lot was almost full. I do believe they have an over flow lot though. Overall great experience just a little too expensive for it.

Always a fun place to take the family. Even being afraid of heights, it's worth it. The view is amazing once you reach the other side.

C Jeffries

Awesome experience! Beautiful work of nature! Park was great.... Wonderful customer service! We got rained out towards the end of the day and were able to get our tickets validated for the next day. We hadn't ridden the Gondola yet.... so it was just perfect!

David Vlottes

Great experience and breath-taking view. The rate of $25 for admissions is pretty high though..

Diane M

Great views! Fun family trip. Tickets include access to the gondola ride, bridge, theater and kids play area.

I've been twice to the Royal Gorge now. It's a really great place to visit. Pick a nice weather day. It's VERY windy on the bridge a lot of the time so if it's chilly, it's really cold there. The views are amazing. The staff is great. It's kinda pricey for the small park and bridge access but if you've never seen it, go. I think it was $40 for my wife and me. Very nice visitor building with restaurant as well.

Lisa Rabenaldt

Can't believe I walked that much and lived. Fantastic trip. Worth the four day drive to get there.

Michael Rodenbeck

Great view and it is very fun to walk across the bridge and to watch the history of the Royal George in a mini movie they show at there mini theater

Linda Keith

Have stayed there 2 times. Both times the room was cute but not clean. The 2nd time the sheets smelled of body odor and the pillow cases smelled like men's cologne. There was hairs on the toilet and sink.

Reflections of a simple mind

Royal Gorge Bridge- highest bridge in USA. Construction of the bridge was completed in 1929. Situated in a 360 acre amusement park surrounded by Royal Gorge. The bridge crosses the gorge 955 feet above the Arkansas River. The bridge was closed for maintenance while we visited. So had to enjoy it from far and admire its beauty.

merryl redding

Awesome beyond words. Great play area to wear out the kiddos. We walked miles & loved every minute. Watching the swing & zipline was so cool.

Tory Tammen

Great place to visit. I found that admission was rather high and you still had to pay for rides. This may be because they are improving the park. The cloudscraper was very fun but had to wait more than an hour and the ride is only 1 min.

Nicole

It's definitely a cool experience to walk across the bridge for the views however it's super expensive! It takes about 10 minutes to do the bridge. The pictures make it seem scary but it's really not. Zipline ($45) and everything else cost extra.

Jerry Looker

Beautiful place to visit! We loved the gondola and the view from the bridge is spectacular! We also had a blast on the sky coaster! However, we were very disappointed that they did not have any cold drinks besides beer on the other side of the gorge!

Lisa Sutherland

Really is a sight to see. Unfortunately, the day we went, the whole park lost power right before we were able to go on the zipline. The people in the gondola were stuck in there for over an hour. I was surprised that they don't have a generator or some kind of rescue plan in place. The park was kind enough to refund all admission fees though.

Jill Vosberg

Overall this was a positive experience for our family, but I am not sure it was worth the price tag. We did some things in the morning with the plan to come back in the evening as you do get a re-entry stamp. When we returned, the power had been off, but did come back on, but they shut everything down except the bridge which was a bummer as we had planned to ride the gondola. It was beautiful and we had fun, but it did feel like an overpriced tourist trap.

Joseph Lima

This is a place I have wanted to visit for years, and finally did so with a visiting relative. It was well worth the trip, and the one and a half hour drive was actually very nice. I can check this off my bucket list, but I will go back again.

Itza Frias

Everything was great!!! BUT make sure (if you plan to do the wax hand) you ask whoever is there if and how long they will be doing them. I NEVER complain but we waited a good hour or more to get our hands done when the girl told us she doesn’t think she could do anymore...... if you know after a certain time you have to stop save your customers their time and let them know ahead of time!!! Thanks for ruining our last moments of our trip!!!!

It was incredible to see and learn the history. I am scared of heights but sucked it up to walk across the bridge and ride the gondola back across. The kids area is nice as well. We also had lunch there and I was pleasantly surprised the burger was good.

John Bidwell

First visit. You might want to carry some extra water with you as it is high altitude and quite a bit of walking. I tend to get nervous around some heights; I did pretty well here. The day I was there, it was pretty windy, the bridge itself swayed pretty noticeably. There is a passenger vehicle going back and forth on the bridge quite often that is noticeable as far as feeling vibrations. Weather turned cool very quickly around 3pm. Might want to take a light jacket with you. One thing to know, a fire took out a lot of the area in 2013. The bridge itself was came close to being included in the damage. I've heard that recently the inclined railway has been rebuilt and is now operating. I was fascinated by an old style theater on the opposite side of the bridge. They have a recorded show of the history of Royal Gorge and include a lot of facts about the fire. The film runs approximately 20 minutes. Inside the theater are some artifacts displayed from the time of the fire.

Kanna Karri

Scenic and breathtaking views at the same point. The entry ticket offers free Gandola ride. There is also a free fall recreation area where you can feel the thrill of falling free in the gorge.

Jessi Timmermans

Breathtaking. This is a must see if you are visiting the area. They have a nice shaded patio. And a shuttle across the bridge on a tram if you are not up for the hike or taking the gondola across the gorge.

Jamie Crowe

BEAUTIFUL. BREATHTAKING. THERE ARE NO WORDS. This place is worth the drive, worth the money - don't swing through Canon City & NOT see this gorge!! It is a bit scary crossing the bridge, but definitely rewarding to arrive at the theater & watch the short history film. We will definitely be back & bring out-of-state visitors next time. We stayed in the Big Horn Mountain Top Lodge the night prior & the peachy & bright sunrise was just UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Jehanne Smith

Well we went there to see the Royal Gorge bridge and we find out you have to pay $28 to get to it regardless of wanting to go to the amusement park or not! Absolutely ridiculous ! They should have an option (like $10) for people to only cross the bridge and back (just the people who want to see the beauty of nature!) It isn't that hard ! Anyway just really annoyed they went and ruined the possibility of seeing a gorgeous natural site and made it a thing about money...

Mary Bailey

Just thought it would be a great place to see but they didn't even offer an entrance fee for just viewing the gorge had to buy a ticket to ride the rides, walk out on the bridge etc. We felt like $132 dollars was to much to spend on our family of five. So it was a complete waste of time for us. I gave it an extra star just for the simple fact that they are dog friendly.

Sapphire Gem

Beautiful is all I can say . The people that work there are awesome. I love to talk and when my family were going go go across on the tram I was a little bit of a coward and stayed in the gift shop . I had a really nice conversation with the security guard and a couple others all who were extremely friendly and helpful. The last time we came was probably 18 yrs ago but it was when you could still drive across the bridge. So glad to be able to see it with my kids as small children and again as young adults.

Gerald Weis

I was really impressed. It's been decades since my last visit. There is so much to do and see. I highly recommend visiting.

Laura Votava

Sept 2019 Beautiful destination day trip. Scenery YES! Once you get beyond the (park) entrance fee, it was $28 per person this day, you're in for more pay-as-you-go rides. Must do one or more. Coaster or Gondola or Zipline or more across the gorge of the Arkansas River. Or walk or drive across the amazing rebuilt bridge to the adventure and shops. This was my first time back since the late 80's/early 90's when it was not an adventure park with rides. Simply a grand nature park with no fees to cross the bridge. Miss that. But time and changes go on. Must see!

Loryn Papania

So cool, definitely take the gondola to see the whole Gorge. Walk across the bridge and take a photo ny your state sign.

Kelli Park

Fantastic family experience with plenty to enjoy for people of all walks of life. 100ft drop swing for adrenaline junkies, chair-style zip line across the Royal Gorge for medium level risk takers, and beautiful playground with included carousel for children. Plenty of food options, beer cart, ice cream, and thoughtful touches throughout. You wouldn’t know this is government-run — it’s very well done, well maintained, and clearly customer oriented. Absolutely worth the money and time.

Emil Ardelean

It may deserve five stars, but we went through rather quickly and didn't get to check out everything. The landscape is spectacular, though!

Trysten Rocchi

I LOVED this place. Beautiful scenery, gorgeous landscapes. The bridge, while terrifying to me, was impressive and very high up. The food there was subpar, but the beer was cold. The gondola rode was exciting and thrilling. I will definitely be coming back here again.

Eva Tijerina

This Place is Amazing. We Enjoyed the Gondola., Zip line, the bridge , the View and Train. Everyone was very Helpful and Friendly.

A great ending to our discover Colorado Summer. Beautiful sights and weather, great people and a wonderful view. It is America's bridge. Hit up cannon city for some good food. We love mugs, good people, great food and reasonably priced.

Akash Bhattacharya

Another must see place in Colorado. The way to do this is to first do the Royal Gorge Railroad and then the bridge. There are ziplines for the more adventurous of you. That also costs extra. For the standard entry price, I suggest you line up for the gondola ride across the canyon and then walk back over the bridge. The gondola ride does tend to have a long line, but is a good compromise if you suffer from only mild vertigo. The walk across the bridge is extra fun when it is windy. If you absolutely cannot walk across, they do have golf carts and suchlike.

Josue E.

Definitely one, of the many greatest attraction I ever visited in Colorado being from LA, so many activities for the young and the old... I'll be going back soon...

It was awesome! Will test your fear of heights,if you can cross the bridge you will be fine. There are places for the children to enjoy as well.

Peachy Peach

Standing on the bridge is COLD!! Make sure you bring a jacket. They have a nice 3 story playground. Lovely views from various areas in the vicinity. Safe for kids. In general had a great time. I didn't like the trail to get playground though, not so fun when you are guiding two active kids and pushing a stroller with a sleeping infant. The staff are very nice and helpful with information about the place.

Gretchen Houdek

I did the Rim to rim 5k and it was a lot of fun. Beautiful area to do a 5k run at. Great place to see big horn sheep. Lots to do.

Paul S

Easy to spend several hours here. Nice overlooks to take photos of the bridge, great views from the bridge (train & rafters were way down below), gondola was fun & the movie at the theater was interesting (both included with general admission). Did not try the zip line nor the sky coaster (additional fees to ride). There is a kids land, amphitheater with stage and seating for relaxing. Clean bathrooms and a nice gift shop.

MuaJPingxw Vue

I read a lot about Royal Gorge Bridge and I was not disappointed one bit, in fact, it exceeded my expectations. I was lucky it was a nice sunny day because I have seen Youtube videos where it was cloudy or misty and it affected how far off you can see. Anyways, getting on the bridge itself was quite thrilling. Seeing how far up you were and seeing the train tracks on the very bottom sent a spine chilling sensation. It was very beautiful, to say the least. The staff was also very warm and welcoming. From the front counter to the people driving across the bridge, waving and saying "hi". Overall, I am glad I was able to experience this opportunity. It was truly well worth it!

Kevin Michael Vreeken

Loved the Royal George! Beautiful part of the country! Can not wait to return. There is a lot of fun to be had at the Royal George!

Steve Wilson

An absolute must visit for all ages. The zip line is fantastic! The walk across the bridge now breath taking. The gondola ride is fun as well. Play area for the kids includes a small merry-go-round. Rock climbing added this year is also worth it if you have the time. Plenty of parking. Nice gift shop as well. This is really a national treasure to see the size and beauty of this gorge.

Colleen LaRock

Great adventure. It does require walking up some steep hills. Went a couple of years ago in November and again this year in June. It was good both times. They have some good food that's reasonably priced. The gondola ride in included with entry fee. Older children and adults can zipline, climb or swing on coaster for the price. There was a play area for younger children. The walk across the bridge is cool. There was 8 of us four children ages 9 - 15 and 4 adults. Be sure to keep hydrated in the heat

Jacob Bauman

Super fun for the kids. Gondola ride, carousel, and kids play area all included in admission. Extras are the sky coaster (bungee swing) and zip lining across the gorge! Great fun

Daniel Birch

Cool place, but a tourist trap. $28 each to walk across the bridge. What a water? $3.99. Ice cream for my kid, $5.50. They warn everyone that all persons and property are subject to search. Guess that makes me feel safe. I wonder if it is just to keep people from bringing a picnic.

Gilbert Aveno

Awesome place. We've experienced rain, thunderstorm, lightning and strong wind, and still enjoyed crossing the bridge. It was scary, but that's the fun of it.

Jon Aldama

If I had one word to sum up this place it would be SPECTACULAR! The bridge itself is breathtaking. When you walk across, the bridge is moving side to side and flexing up and down. It’s a really neat feeling. The red gondola that you can take across the gorge is really awesome too. I would recommend (if you can tolerate the walk) to walk across the bridge and take the gondola back. The line is usually much shorter on the far side.

Ralph McCoy

Nice experience if you visit in Colorado Springs, Its about an hour and 45 minutes South York to the Royal gorge bridge. Prices are reasonable and they do offer military discounts. Gondola ride I was experiencing itself and the zip line was awesome. Great Kids park and splash pad on site. if you're scared of heights be wary, but the views are amazing definitely bringing all my friends and family to this location it's a must-see highly recommended.

Kenny Z

Royal Gorge Bridge is a breathtaking place, literally. Walking across the suspension bridge was a bit terrifying and breathtaking at the same time. Seeing thru the bottom of the bridge while walking had me picking and choosing each board as I walked. It was a long way down and the bridge moves side to side and up and down. Yikes! But it was fun nevertheless and an engineering marvel for sure.

Mo Nuwwarah

Pretty cool view. Not worth what they ate charging though. Also, I was excited to take the gondola, and since i arrived at 6:30 I figured I would have to hurry. The guy up front said it wouldn't be a problem to make it over for the final ride at 7. Well, signage was extremely poor. Does not seem like it would be hard to point people the right way. Because I followed the signs, I missed out. Thanks, guys

joshua young

One of my favorite places to go!!!! Its amazing and beautiful. It cost to get in but it's very worth it.

Varuni Shama Rao

Beautiful place to visit. The bridge has flags of all the states. Zipline was super fun, so was the gondola ride.

Natalie McComack

Very cool place to check out on your bucket list. So many things to do here for you and your family. There is history, play area, food, rides and trains. You can stop on the bridge next to your flag and get a picture. Not good for ones who are scared of heights, the bride moves so it's really scary but safe. The winds can pick up quick so hold on tight!! You can look down and see the water and train. They have a gift shop on the way out also. Parking is free the admission ticket is all you need to pay for on the way in and any other rides you want.

Bricole Filipovic

Don't go here! Its $20+ per person to walk across the bridge! We turned off just before the bridge at the picnic area and hiked instead. There u see breath taking views of the bridge and river for free. Pack a lunch and make a day of it.

Joyce G

We enjoyed seeing the bridge, walking across (which was a challenge for my husband who doesn't enjoy heights), and watching the video about the history of the area. I rode the gondola back (note to self - next time, ride the gondola across and walk back to avoid the uphill climb!) and enjoyed seeing and photographing the bridge from another perspective. The only reasons for less than a 5 star review from me are the cost and entry procedures. In my opinion, the entry fee is too high. It was bad enough for only two of us -- I cant imagine paying for a whole family. I am glad I saw it once, but probably won't pay to see it again as I don't feel it is worth the fee. I bought tickets online, saving $2 on each, which was good. But on the website it implies that if you have your tickets, you can skip the line and go straight to the gate for entry. However, this was not true. We still had to stand in line to have our tickets scanned and get our hands stamped before we could enter. A small thing, but in my opinion inefficient, when they could have a dedicated line for those with pre-purchased tickets. Maybe we were just ready to enjoy nature in a less commercial setting. Luckily we were able to do that much of the rest of our trip.

kyle connors

It was a lot of fun. When we went it was to windy to do any of the swings. It’s pretty nerve wrecking being that high up especially with full size SUVs driving on it with you. It’s cool that have all the states flags out there. Makes for a cool photo moment.

Meghan Thompson

Hadn't been here since I was younger before it had been sadly burned down and came here about a week ago and wow it is so beautiful and amazing. Such a great experience. Everyone should do this in their lifetime.

JR Kolie

If you've never been, go. It's a great time! If you were there before the 2013 fire and are going back just know that you can no longer go to the bottom. We debated it due to the high price and not being able to go to the bottom, but in the end had a good time.

Terra Costin

My 7-year old son found a brochure about this place over a year ago, and has wanted to walk over the bridge ever since. Turns out my kids LOVED it. The bridge is sooooo high! I just wish the park was a little less expensive (price is kinda high for just walking across the bridge and riding the gondola), and I wish the lines were shorter. I really wanted to do the zipline (extra charge), but the line looked like it was at least an hour long. My advice: walk the bridge first and ride the gondola back. The welcome center advised us to do the opposite because the park is all downhill if you ridge the gondola first, and all uphill if you walk the bridge first. However because of that, we surmised (correctly) that the gondola line would be MUCH shorter on the far side. We looked at the line when we first arrived, and it was HUGE. It would have been at least an hour wait. We decided to walk the bridge, play at the playground, and ride the gondola back across. The trail going up IS pretty steep and uphill, but if you can manage it, the line for the gondola coming back only took us about 10 minutes, which was great.

Sam V

Beautiful view, wasn't too crowded when I was here so I could really enjoy it with my family. There was a little theatre there with a short movie about the history about the gorge and the bridge, including the fire that burned the place in 2013. Work is still being done though. No animals here like there used to be.

Inglis Reynolds

Wow. What a wonder! The line was long but moved quickly. For the price, you get many things to see and do. The bridge itself is fantastic. Me, being afraid of heights, didn't look over the railing much but my family did. We watched the 17 minute video and felt well acquainted with its history.

David Marcano

A very nice views, if you are a daredevil person so croos the brigde walking, it's almost a mile long over 986 feet high.

CaSondra Stinson

This place was so fun! I was terrified of the ziplining, but it was actually a very gentle ride and I enjoyed looking away the glacial striations in the cliff on the way over. The bar area was very clean and staff friendly. I would suggest getting the guy who takes all the photos a sound barrier for all the incoming riders, as it can be difficult to talk to and hear him when riders come in with a bang.

Izaiah Zaragoza

Very unhappy visit to such a beautiful landmark. We had bought our admission tickets and zip line tickets online, and had them placed at "will call". There is no specific place that is "Will Call", instead you get in the same line with people who haven't bought the tickets yet. Makes sense. Then waited over 2.5 hours for the zip line ride before a storm hit. Noted that in the 2.5 hour time, they waited for the zip line harnesses multiple times (15-20 minute wait per trip), let single riders go through without asking for other single riders in the crowd, then the cash register was "full" and couldn't let the people who hadn't paid yet buy tickets, so instead of sending the people who already bought tickets in front, everyone waited (30 minute wait and no one went on the ride). The zip line should be moving 2 people every 3-5 minutes, but they were running 2 people every 10 minutes. Just very unprofessional and it's ashamed. People come here to have fun, but it's ruined with poor customer service and management only caring for the money, not the people. There is no such thing as bad workers, just bad management. Upsetting.

Shaun Krein

After a fire completely destroyed the place in 2013, it is a testament to the love of the park by the people of Cañon City that it has not only been fully rebuilt, but better than before the fire. A highly recommended stop in this area. Perhaps you will have more courage than me and try the zip line

Shannon Marie

What an adrenaline rush! Something for everyone, see the gorge the way you want to - walk, bungee jump, ride the Gondola or you can even catch the little bus. It was super windy and a storm was rolling in but the views were breathtaking and the temperature was perfect. Worth the money and I would do it again.

Zakeer M.S

The Royal Gorge Suspension Bridge is the highest bridge in the United States and held the title of tallest bridge in the world from it’s completion in 1929 until 2001. All along the bridge, each state flag waves in the considerable breeze. Naturally, I had to capture a shot of all state’s flags. Royal Gorge Suspension Bridge is in Canon City, about an hour and a half from Colorado Springs. For the scenic minded, I highly suggest taking the longer way along Route 24.

Natasha Smith

I would highly recommend this adventure. It was a lot of fun! Ample parking, not too long of a wait for tickets or to ride. Well worth the time, money, and drive to experience such a beautiful sight!

Bonnie Cantrell

Amazing views! Tons of activities. We walked across the bridge one way, and then took the gondola back. There are a few places to eat and to get snacks, drinks and ice cream. There's a carousel, and an outdoor stage. The day we were there, a band was playing. If you are adventurous, there is a zip line across the gorge, and a sky coaster. Both of these cost extra over the regular entrance fee. Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful. This is definitely a must see and do if you are visiting the area.

Hari Hara Kumar Earlapati

This is a good place for sight seeing. I wish the lines. Moved faster for gondola rides. My parents had to stand in sun for a long time before we get on gandola ride, I wish they had some seating area separately for elders and mothers with infants.

Casey White

One star for the beautiful view, one star for the convenient shuttle. Otherwise, a total ripoff that is really not worth the 30 bucks a person. When we went, the gondolas were down, so they gave us a whopping $2.00 discount. You're better off spending 15 bucks to drive up to Pike's Peak and calling it a day .

Meghan Hollenbach

Via ferrata was an amazing experience. My group of 3 did the 5 hour tour and it was the perfect difficulty. They can change what routes you go on based on your skill level. The hike to the routes is a pretty steep decline but easy enough with the shoes they give you. Views were exceptional.

Stephen Delaney

Absolutely beautiful place. Zip lining, cable cars and ofcourse that Awesome bit of engineering the bridge. One of the last relics of a great railway history sits proudly on the side of the canyon. Great place to stop off on your roadtrip or just a good day out with the family.. Definitely worth the stop.. you'll be kicking yourself for not seeing it..

Aaron Brooks

The park is great, but very disappointed with the food service. Attempted to upgrade the fries that came with the meal to green chili fries and happy to pay the extra charge, but the person at the counter said I would have place a second order of fries to get the green chili added. This is a simple request and an easy fix that management should make. Instead of getting $13+ from me they got nothing.

Jacob Portillo

Very family oriented & has places to let kids be kids which my boys very much enjoyed. It was a mostly cloudy day with a little sun when I went & the views were still spectacular. Make sure to check out the short film about the Gorge @ the movie theater for all you history lovers. Drove from Houston, TX to come here & would go back any day.

Frank Bredow

Great must do when friends and family are in town. The drive from Denver is certainly a drag but the view is stunning and the experience is great. It is not cheap for what it is but still highly recommended. For the love of the gods don't drink the coffee...

Raven Mcvay

Absolutely Breathtaking

Kyle Mead

Stunning location of Colorado. Gorgeous overlook and bridge with all 50 State flags where you show your native pride. You can easily make a day of the Park and town. Be prepared to support the national parks though. Tickets are pricey but very well worth it. Make it a weekend and find a hike, rafting, ride the Royal Gorge railway, or, for you big spenders, you can get a helicopter tour over the gorge. Burger joint up the road had killer wings and green chili burger. Loved it even though it started raining as we parked. Classic Colorado experience.

Sadie Noyes

Fun! Lots of views but nothing I’d want to spend more than 2 hours on. Recommend wearing shoes that you can walk uphill easily in. Gondola ride was fun across the gorge. Much better if you ride it up and then walk back down across the bridge, the walk up will make you work up a sweat.

Will Harrison

Make no mistake, this is a cool place. However, hearing the history of the bridge, it's a bit disappointing it's been turned into such a tourist trap. Everything is designed to make you spend money.

Vibhav Bisht

Absolutely breathtaking views. I went ziplining and it was absolutely worth the price. There are other fun activities to do if you have the time. Can easily spend half a day there. Unfortunately I went on memorial day weekend so it was a 2 hour wait. The staff commented that it was unusually busy that weekend.

Steven McDermott

Expensive to get on the bridge but awe inspiring. The Arkansas snaking underneath with a train hugging the edge of the gorge is a sight to say the least, especially from 1,000 feet up. The only thing I didn't like was that they take trucks and busses on the bridge, which makes is wobble and is very unnerving. I'm sure it's safe but still, be ready.

Tom Parker

Wasn't impressed. Nice ride on the bike. Looked cool but you can't drive across and everything was too much money.

Aaron Brooks

The park is great, but very disappointed with the food service. Attempted to upgrade the fries that came with the meal to green chili fries and happy to pay the extra charge, but the person at the counter said I would have place a second order of fries to get the green chili added. Gretchen Schaumann

This place is an amazing place to see. However, I do think the advertising and road signs leave a lot to be desired. We did not know what to expect or what we were getting into and since we were traveling through it was not a destination for us, but rather a Very Happy Find. The road in was quite lengthy and not very detailed, thus we didn’t know what to expect. We saw an overlook area and went up on it and Loved it. But, by the time we were done with that we were hot, thirsty and have traveled anxious to get out of the sun. We DID NOT pay and go through the actual experience, but WILL come back another time when we are in the area and do the paid experience with walking the bridge, gondola ride and all the building has to offer. My photos are all showing the FREE sights we experienced and not the entire Royal Gorge experience.

Order tickets on line, no will call line when you get there? So have to wait in same line for tickets anyway!? Buy zip line tickets online, get to zip line and still stand in same line as people who need to buy tickets?! Sending single riders down? Waste! Then their drawer of cash is full and have to wait to send riders down for them to empty drawer? Should be sending riders down who already had purchased tickets! Poor management! Place used to be great to come to, now they operate like people do not drive great distances to come see it. Poor business practices!

kelley bland

This place is beautiful! There are plenty of activities for the more adventurous and walking the bridge is amazing. The park is very clean and the employees are great. Highly recommend.

Paul Shin

Right off the bat, $28 is not worth it. At 1000 ft high, it is one of the tallest foot bridges in the world. There are small holes in between the wood planks where you can see 1000 ft down. Yes, this is terrifying! It doesn't help that there are vehicles going back and forth shaking the bridge. Since the vehicles drive down the middle of the bridge, you are forced to be on the side, which is also terrifying. The gondola, maybe because it's fully enclosed, didn't seem as terrifying. There's also a theater that plays a 15 minute movie about the history of the Royal Gorge bridge which is interesting. All in all, totally not worth $28 per person entry.

D Coates

It is something to see once in your life - it's way more commercialized than I would like and everything is stupid money to do. The "play area" that you will spend hours playing in will have your kids bored in 20 minutes. The best part is the bridge - if you can stomach it that's where the majority of your time should be spent

Hannah Ward

A must visit on your next road trip through Colorado! The ticket prices are fairly steep prices, but it does come with unlimited gondola rides across the gorge, which in itself is pretty incredible. The bridge walk is lined with amazing things to see. It's a great photo opportunity and piece of history to be remembered.

Naveen Reddy

It is worth finding some time to visit this place in your trip. It’s a good old and nice bridge. You can see the flags of all states on this bridge. We didn’t get the time to try their rides but they have zip line, sky coaster and some aerial rides.

Lyndall Canter

Totally not worth 28 dollar admission. Wait for gondola was over 2 hours in the sun. No seats. Small bottle water was 4 dollars and warm. I'm disabled and having to stand in the sun for such a long time caused me extreme discomfort. Will never come back will not recommend

Jeff Connor

Wow, how did they build this bridge? Very cool park. Chatted with one of the security guards and he provided some interesting back stories of the bridges history. The gondola ride over the gorge was great

Anand Sharma

This used to be so much fun place for the kids, before the fire .. The inclined train/petting zoo, Mountain man ..Those days we could have driven on the bridge in our own car and that was really the most thrilling part of this place. They don't allow that anymore and none of the fun stuff they used to have before, is not there anymore.

Arif Mahesar

Good for people who are visiting Colorado springs, I traveled to all the way from Denver, which is little too long , and not that much for which to drive 3 hours one way .

Viviana Rodriguez

The bridge does shake as you walk on it so keep that in mind!!! It’s a breathtaking view on the bridge, but a little too pricey. I do recommend calling ahead of time (especially if you’re driving and hour or more to get there) and checking to see what attractions are open. I had booked a couple of things online only to get there and not be able to make the most out of my ticket due to high winds.

Chris Tina

This place is beautiful. We've been wanting to go for a long time and just never made it out until recently. We went with our kids (10 and 13 ) and our friends with their kids who are 13 and two preschoolers. All of the kids had fun and the adults did as well. There was a lot to see and do other than just the bridge. They have a nice gift shop, beer haus, snack shack type thing and an area for kids to play. The view is amazing.

Lynda Nelson

What a view! Loved the bridge and all the scenery. Couldn't see movie because projector was broken. Waited an hour for gandola. Lots of walking but there are vehicles to get you to your destination.

Mike C

Great park, wish we had more time to wander about. I enjoyed the history behind it as well

SESHADRI SUBBANNA

Great place to visit. Our second time here. Unfortunately Zipline was closed due to high winds. But in general good weather and breathtaking views.

Frank Bredow

Great must do when friends and family are in town. The drive from Denver is certainly a drag but the view is stunning and the experience is great. It is not cheap for what it is but still highly recommended. For the love of the gods don't drink the coffee...

JMS63 60KWS

Awesome history. Walk the bridge. I think it's only about an 1/8 of a mile. Ride the Gondola, takes about 4-5 minutes. Definitely do the Zip line!

Pavan Kumar Kanikicherla

Stunning location of Colorado. Gorgeous overlook and bridge with all 50 State flags You can easily make a day of the Park and town. Rides are terrific.one of the top place in Denver.

david s

visited 30 years ago and has great memories. Brought my kids and wife this time and they loved it too! The new rides (gondola, zipline, sky coaster) didn't disappoint either! It was a great day with new memories made!

Sean Milligan

Really cool place and was looking forward to walking the bridge but at $28 per person?!?!?! No way! We turned around and spent our time and money elsewhere. My suggestion a bridge walk only ticket for maybe $10 and let me add other things we want to do. Really disappointed and please cut the “we are similarly priced” line. No reason you couldn’t offer a “walk only” option.

Ronin truthseeker

Standard tourist trap. You'll pay $30 a person to walk across a bridge. There's really Nothing else to do. The Sky coaster (a giant swing that goes over the cliff a bit) as well as the zip line cost extra. The gondola that slowly traverses across the canyon is included in your fare, if you like the feeling of being stuck in a giant elevator shoulder to shoulder with strangers dangling over a 1000ft drop. Other than that there is a Merry go round for the kids and your run of the mill over-priced gift shops. Ultimately this place is all about how many times and in how many different ways can you cross a canyon.

Renee Troendly

A full day of fun and learning. The zip line was great. So worth the drive. I just wish they had recycled cans to put plastic in. The bird show was so nice and informative. Where good walking shoes. Enjoyable Birthday

Jo Povall

This place is a fully day visit. If it is hot be aware the airconditioned cafe is on the entrance side. I recommend the souvenir cup on a hot day for access to lots of liquid. I was surprised to hear about the fire and how it jumped the gorge. Wish they still had the train down into the valley but well worth a trip. Nature is impressive

amanda meisinger

Great place to visit. Mother nature kinda ruined our plans of ziplining but it was still a fun experience. Live music, rides for the kids, drinks, ice cream, we even had a big horn sheep visit in the middle of the park. Great gift shop and we purchased our tickets online and saved a few dollars per ticket.

Massage Harbor

Bridge view absolutely wonderful. NO SHADE!! BRING YOUR OWN lawn chairs, ice chest, shade and wagon. Pet friendly. Water is over $4 a bottle. Craft beer close to $9 for 16oz. Food is super expensive and basic. Staff super friendly.

Rebecca Miller

Beautiful park. Loved the views. Had a wonderful time. I am only giving four stars for lack of communication. We were waiting on our riders to come back from the south side via the zip line. And they shut it down. No one said anything. People waiting for 2hrs. Trying to find answers. Workers just left. And when they closed the Gondolas, shouldn't they have closed the zip line as well instead of waiting for a while then only closing one side.. Just lack of communication.

Tamyra Stock

Great place to go, you can bring your dogs aswell. The rides are worth trying out atleast once. Definitely a fun trip, I give it a 4 only because it's a bit pricey when it comes to the food and drinks, to be expected and there is no gas station around for MILES!!! not there fault but it was apart of my experience.

Holli Marshall

This was a cool place to visit to be able to say that you've gone. The views are spectacular and the history is interesting. There is a theater that shows the history of the place in a video and has artifacts from the bridge. There is a nice play area for children. There is live music some evenings but we were there in the morning. We weren't brave enough to do the Zipline or Skycoaster, which cost extra. The gondola gives a terrific view of the canyon and you can ride it as many times as you want with regular admission. We didn't find much to do besides crossing the bridge, watching the history video, and riding the gondola so the visit didn't take long.

Joe Santamaria

Had a great time! Beautiful location. But felt hard justifying a trip down from Denver without paying for some of the extra features/rides however.

Kaitlyn

Would of been a good experience except 2 hours and 30 min before the park closed the school district brought out there runners/track. So the visitors and tourists couldn't enjoy themselves or even get pictures without being ran over by runners. Maybe do these after hours?

Eric Westerman

We visited about ten years ago and really enjoyed the experience. Our kids were kids at that time also. The fire last year destroyed the tram to the bottom of the gorge and that was a big draw for us last time. It also took up alseveral hours of the day, waiting to descend and ascend and spending time walking around at the bottom. It is still a good place to visit but we did not spend long here this time and our thoughts it would be a good place to visit with children and grandchildren.

Kelly Knotts

Awesome place! Amazing engineering! A little pricey at $28.00 per person but that would have included other attractions such as the gondola ride. Unfortunately, it was so windy that all the other attractions were shut down except for the bridge and the theater. Definitely a must see!

Bobbi Laski

I feel that this park is WAY over priced for what you get. A family of three cost us $60 to walk across a bridge and play at a play structure and to see a recorded 17min movie. You also get a free ride on the gondola but we choose not to. I feel like it should be a separate charge. The Gorge is cool to see, however, there isn't much else to do. The kids played on the play structure for a time. BTW, there is VERY limited bathroom options across the bridge. We had to use an outhouse and then we found that they had non-flushing option up the road. If you can't do steep hills, be advised, there is a lot of walking up steep inclines. Even if you take the gondola, it is a steep walk down to the kids play area. We went in late April and it wasn't busy, also, much wasn't open yet or ready for the season.

Katrina Kiko Halterman

Coming here was absolutely breathe taking and a little a little bit of an adrenaline rush! There's something here for everyone in your family. One tip is to not go on a windy day like how we did, they ended closing everything early. We had fun despite. We'll just have to come back :)

Lauren Kromminga

Nice place, but it costs $28 per person. A lot of features are included in that ticket, but for a quick stop on a road trip I don't think it's worth that price. Plan on staying a while and enjoying all the features.

Akin Fadeyi

Well, I used to live in Colorado, the Rocky Mountain High. Royal Gorge Bridge and park is amazing place to see and it is a breath taken, you have to be brave to go there. You would go Wow!! That is all I have got say fir now. Go see it on your vacation and enjoy the beauty of Rocky Mountain have to offer.

A.W. Wulah

Amazing place. The tallest bridge in america. Besides walking across the flag filled bridge you can ride a train to get there and they gave other amazing rides! I must see experience!

vicki hyde

I absolutely loved it. My first time to zipline and I would do it again. I would recommend it to everyone.

Nelson Brentlinger

The rim2rim was great. Wonderful volunteers. Great scenery.

Monica Young

Absolutely breathtaking! The gondola takes you across the river and then you can walk back across the bridge or you can walk both ways. There's stands by the bridge to get drinks and snacks, but a bit pricey. Costs $26 per person to get in. They do offer train rides and helicopter rides for an additional cost. Definitely worth the money to see it! Can't wait to go back, hopefully!

Bart Truchanowicz

Great place as always. The bridge is great to walk across and see the great views. The gondola ride is nice to see the gorge from a different view with the one side being totally glass. The zipline is great but unfortunately today winds were too high so they closed them down but do give you a refund if this happens. The swing over the gorge is the greatest if you like that kind of thing. It was a first time for me and my daughter and we had such an amazing ride. Glad we got on before the wind kicked way up. Will definitely be back again and again.

Suz NoneYa

My husband I went to the Royal Gorge a few days ago. The bridge is definitely a must see and plenty of other things to do as well like zip lining, train ride, gondolas and a playground for the kids. We only stayed an hour or so..long enough to walk across the bridge and take a few pictures but we did feel it was worth the drive to see.

Emily Tomlinson

Amazing view! Not crowded at all! Lots to see and do. Really cool experience!

Brad Hansen

WOW... THE VIEWS!! If you are in Colorado, and looking for a once in a lifetime experience, the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park is a destination you need to make a stop at. While not an all day adventure, the views here and the bridge itself are simply jaw dropping. Hope you like heights!!

Kyra Carter

This place is wonderful! But if you go on a holiday weekend GET THERE EARLY! Made a huge difference in enjoying the bridge and park. Make sure you hit up the Plaza Theater to watch a video about the makings of the place. Tommy Knocker Children's Playland was well worth it, excellent playground! Of course the bridge was awesome and the Aerial Gondolas provided different vantage point views. This is a great place to spend the day!

Andrea Gnojek

Zip line was amazing! Worth the money. Would have liked to gone a 2nd time. Take the Gondola over to the zip line then walk back over the bridge. The museum and video are very interesting so don't skip it. Walking the bridge was fun especially when it sways in the wind but you always feel safe.

Crystal Black

Drove all the way back a curvy road to see the bridge to find out we couldn’t even look at the bridge without spending $28 per person. And they make sure that you can’t see it too because they put up high board fence. I get it if you want the thrill of walking across but just to see it? Total rip off. I won’t be back.

SamI Am

Extremely beautiful place to visit and enjoy. Their drink pricing is extremely overpriced, 3.99 for a 20oz water. Water fountains are few and far between. The ones you can find are not chilled water and were as hot as it was outside. Their food and non-water drinks priced worst than most high end amusement parks. Still it is a beautiful place, just be ready to throw your wallet off the bridge and into the gorge after you pay a fair price for entry.

thiru chandar

Best experience if you take the zip line and the aerial gondolas .walking along the bridge is fun Good place to chill during weekends To take the rides on weekend you better start early and be there on time ..service might be closed depending on the climatic condition at the place

Zachary Maxwell

Zipline was fun. Walking the bridge was great. The gondola ride was amazing. Overall, it was a good experience. They also had a nice play area/splash pad foe the smaller kids.

Robert Glucksman

They need to be better and letting the handicap know just how accessible it is or isn't. They don't let you know that there are no ramps off the gondola. They let me push my aunt in her chair all the way up the steep hill to it where another patron and his son volunteered to assist us in getting chair up. They did however call a ranger to help us when there was lighting and we had to get ride back to start because gondola was shut down.

Turtle

I absolutely loved my trip here, the scenery and nature was just so beautiful. The only have two rides which are a zip line and the sky coaster. The sky coaster is a big swing that you ride over the edge of the cliff. I highly recommend going here but it can get really hot so stay hydrated and have lots of money, cause your gonna need it.

Volomon

Came way to early in the mourning nothing was really going, kind disappointed by that. However, the view was amazing. Wife wouldn't look down once. Make sure to bring a jacket gets pretty chilly.

Monica Morgan

Visiting in August! So much fun!! However, the wind caused the Gondola to be shut down. Also, definitely bring a secure hat to block the sun as the temperature is warm. This is a must visit if anywhere near the area - America's Bridge!

Laura P

They should probably start calling this the Royal Gouge. $28 per adult just to walk out onto the bridge. Stayed in Cañon City and decided to check this out, I hadn’t been since I was a child. There was a bag checker going through purses and bags before we even got in to look at the ridiculous ticket prices and he looked at my makeup compact with a lot of scrutiny. We had our glance and then left. I’m sure the view is great and it’s a “once in a lifetime experience” but I’ll pass for $28 each to stand on a bridge. There are much better things to do in Colorado than empty your wallet at this boring place.

rhonda goertzen

Not a totally amazing place, depends what you like though! The gorge itself is impressive, yes! Not sure if it's worth $26 to walk across the bridge.. If we go back would maybe opt for the train instead of the bridge, ect..

Jim Buzbee

Great views. Fun to walk the bridge. But we gave up on both the Gondola and zip line due to lines and slow service. There were around 90 people waiting for the zip line and after 45 minutes of standing in a non-covered line, we realized that they were only sending people down at the rate of 2 every 4 minutes and when they had to fetch a new batch of harnesses, this stretched to 9 minutes.

Jhoannel valerio

Did the October fest mid day ride. Very nice, service was great and the food was delicious. Only down side you have to share tables

Patricia Awapara

A natural wonder! We couldn’t get into the Park. My husband and I arrived too early. It was an unplanned trip. The park opens its doors at 10AM, but I believe the tickets could be purchased at the gate after 8 AM. We just wanted to walk the bridge, we didn’t have time to stay for long, so we thought that the admission fee was a bit too high. It is $28 per person. There seems to be plenty of things to do, rides and a gondola, which is included in the price. Also, go on a sunny day, because they close most of it when windy. We do plan to come back. I want to do the zip line. By the way, there is a dirt road right before the park entrance. We decided to explore. It is worth it. The views are amazing and it is free. See pictures attached.

Alainee Simonson

Awesome place to visit. I first went in 2014 but it was right after the large fire. Came back with my family in July 2019 and we got to see all the attractions. The kids had a blast on the okay area, and we enjoyed the gondala ride across the gorge (even though I was scared out if my mind, ha!). Nice view from the bridge. Should definitely stop if you're planning a trip to CO! We could've even brought our pup (well behaved leased dogs only)! :)

Susann Ropella

Excellent place to visit open 365 days a year. You take the gondola across the gorge them you can chose between taking a zip wire seat back over, walk across the bridge (best experience) or take the tractor ride back. - lots of places to buy drinks and food and a fun looking playground for the kids with a old fashioned mary-go-round.

Moa Warren

The Royal Gouge. Back in the day this place was free. You could just walk out and enjoy the view. Now it has been turned into an exploitative tourist nightmare structured so that you can't even see the bridge much less go on it without paying at least $28 per person. What a rip off. We didn't pay, just left.

Mindy Baker

Just the scenery of the mountain alone was well worth the trip . It was breathtaking, astonishing. Just amazing. As far as the park the people were very friendly . It took about an hour to get through the park. I did ride the gondola with my husband but we did not ride any other of the rides . It would certainly be a great place to bring the kids on a summer vacation. They have a little theater and a little spot for the little ones. Teens would just be so excited about the scenery. Thank you for the day well spent .

Anita Bellant

Fun place for all the lines for the zip line are long even when they aren’t busy. They should institute a different cureing system. Reservation or ticket times would be easy to do. It’s a great ride.

Stephanie Murphy

The pricing is all wrong. It would seem appropriate to pay $5 for the foot bridge, $10-12 for the gondola, etc, but $28 per person is a rip off. For that price, it should be hella cool inside with tons to do, but the only things inside cost more money to do. The food (and water!) is also priced at amusement park levels. Dumb. I’m a Colorado resident, and will never take my family or visitors here.

Beckie Peck

Neat place. Was hoping for better prices to experience it better. For a family traveling through it was a little pricey. It was nice seeing it though, even at a distance.

Chad Rassett

Awesome view but incredibly windy when I went sk all rides were closed.

Melissa Gonzalez

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Such an incredible feeling walking across this incredible suspension bridge! Easy and inexpensive admission, clean facilities and much more than just a bridge! The playground on the other side was perfect for children of all ages, the water play was cute and perfect for the hot day! We liked the live band as well. Only downfall was that the hot dogs on the other side were rather pricey, but also expected. Good food nonetheless. Gondola ride back was a crazy cool experience! Definitely recommend!

Mariah Charrier

Even though I wish it was less expensive, it was worth the price! All the employees were so nice & helpful. The price includes the bridge, the gondola ride (as many times as you want,) & the kids playground area! There is a carousel in the kids area that is free to ride; if you want to ride on the ponies you just have to be less that 170lbs, if not you’ll have to stand next to your child or sit on the bench.

Steve Feldman

The bridge was a marvel to walk along. I was afraid at first but I quickly acclimated and was able to enjoy it. The views were spectacular of the river and rocks below. We rode the gondola and it was a great view of the gorge as well.

Eric Da Garzster

Trying to make a bridge like a theme park was interesting. Lol. Not quite pulled it off but close. I did enjoy this place though. Some things catch your attention

Justin Carpenter

This place is a sight to see! In high winds the bridge moves more than some people would like. The gondola also moves pretty good in the wind. The cable swing is definitely for thrill seekers. Very nice restaurant. A kids play area is available on the other side of the bridge. Enjoyed it very much; worth your time.

Amber Glatt

The only reason this got 4 stars is because I wanted to do the Zipline and it wasn't open! The bridge walk is really cool and so is the theater. You can take a free ride from one side to the other in this cool sky train thing. The sky coaster also looked like fun. The best part I think is the child play area. It was AMAZING. This is for sure I go to at least once !!

Yaya T

The admission fee is a little high for a National Park. They charge $4 for a small frozen yogurt so I'd think they would be making enough to cover salaries and upkeep for all their extras. The Gondola was included, however, after walking up the very steep hill we discovered it was closed. Bathrooms were clean. The views, AMAZING! Back to the fee...We visited Pike's Peak for 35% of the cost and enjoyed it also.

Kevin Pair

The gorge is beautiful. The bridge across was nice to see but I likely wouldn't go back. As for spending the day their as the brochure suggests, I think there is not enough to make that worth it. I had visited before many years ago on the train and for my money that was the better of the two options to see the gorge.

Madeline Perkins

Loved seeing this place!! Too windy to do the zip line across the gorge but the bridge was so beautiful and gave the perfect view! Would recommend taking the gondola across and walking back on the bridge!! Kiddie playground was cute and very nice. Tons of places to grab a refreshment and food too!

Joshua Nickles

Spectacular views. At first I was put off by the 28 bucks per adult to get in but you also get free gondola rides across as many times as you want, access to the bridge all day and a theater with some live shows and a 20 minute film on the history of the bridge. When it was all said and done it was well worth it for the views and experience!

Kasper Rugård Thomsen

Nice bridge and gondola, but that's about it on the positive side. On the negative side: - While we were there for 2 hours we met at least 10 different vehicles driving across the bridge. Why do you need to do that? Why can't the employees walk just like everyone else? It really ruins the experience when you have to play dodge with cars. - On the opposite side of the bridge there were large construction areas. Now I understand that things needs to be fixed and all, but why does it have to be fixed in the middle of peak season? And why does it need to be fixed at noon and not after 7 pm when the park is closed anyways? - Then there's the food: are you kidding me? All the food is just junk food and of the worst kind. A sloppy burger can be really nice if it's nicely prepared, but the food here was as if it was made on an assembly line. Just not worth it. Don't waste your money on this place. If you're camping the free campsite right outside the park is amazing, but spent your money somewhere else than this park.
