I use to talk highly of this water park to people how its great place to relax, kids are safe, staff give great service, place is the cleanest and then.... After going on 7/03/18 never have I been so disappointed kids pool water so nasty turned my hair green, restrooms where dirty the whole time we where there. What really topped it off was the staff at food court, service was sad not only me but even the staff got stared at then have to say out loud what we like to order " even tho we are standing in line for food " doesn't make any sense why we have to feel like we are bothering the service! I came all the way from the springs to deal with this.. No thx.. No place should run like this no matter the cost.

My family and I went for some cheaper water park fun. This place is the place! Decently priced annnnd you get to bring in your own food and drinks and cupcakes, no knives for cake cutting. Lots of all day fun.

Very busy, even on a Monday. Not enough chairs. This forced people to be laying on the ground and hoarding chairs and umbrella space. There were too many people on the lazy river. Look at the line just to wait to get a tube (photo).

Overall Pirates Cove is a fun place for families. Definitely a good place to spend a hot summer day if you have kids maybe 10 and under. Teens not so much. Food at the concession stand is great and reasonably priced. Lots of grass and shady areas with trees. Get there early to find a good spot! Now for the not so good parts: I spent a whopping $115 today to rent a cabana (#5). When we got there the so called cabana was NASTY! The table sticky and crusty with crumbs, the concrete floor was dirty, chair not wiped down. The "cabana" itself was simply a square structure with a cloth tarp thrown over it for some extra privacy. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! Not worth it. The other thing I would lament is the fact that there is hardly any pool space to actually swim. Those are the two main reasons why I didn't give Pirates Cove 5 stars.

Advertised as a water park, however in reality it's mostly for the 8-12 year range. There is an adult swimming pool, but, it's a swimming pool, not a water attraction.

Don't expect a huge theme park sized water park but there was plenty enough variety for my kids. They would love to go again for sure. It was very clean. Even the restrooms, while not perfect, were amazing for a public bathroom.

Terrific place, especially for the price. I found that people are well behaved. Kids are even behaved well and my son played for hours without incident. The staff was friendly but assertive in applying the rules. Perhaps the best feature is the ability to bring in coolers if you'd like to have a lunch that isn't simple fried food. You can also leave and return if you'd like to go somewhere else to eat or it happens to start raining. There's plenty of charm here for a local spot in the sun.

1st time to Pirates Cove, me and my partner we're very happy with our visit on a Sunday. Park was clean, and we'll maintained. The water was clear, and temputre of the water was perfect. We had been referred to this water park by a friend, as we had been visiting the bigger more expensive water/theme park. We were very pleased with the offerings. The only thing I missed from this switch over was the wave pool. Pirates Cove doesn't have a wave pool. However the lengthy lazy river, and cheaper prices made up for it. We will be coming back again for years to come. Thank you to everyone at PC that .Ade our yearly summer trip to the water park the best part of the summer.

Great summer stop for a swim. Kids had a blast on the slides and kids areas. The price is well worth it. My only complaint is how they operate the lazy River. Empty tubes shouldn't just keep floating around. If you're done, take it out so someone else can use it. Instead you pile up at the entrance waiting until you get enough tubes to get the entire family in.

This place is an annual tradition for us every summer. Go early to grab a shady spot. Picnic lunches are allowed (you won’t find healthy options inside), but no glass or bottles allowed. Bring your own super squirt b/c there’s a refill station. This place is small but there’s plenty fun things to do. We get there when they open & stay till closing time. Gift shop kiosk has delightfully reasonable prices. Bring flip flops to wear in the shower/bathrooms b/c it’s usually not super clean in there

We just love this place! We took our nieces, and nephews to this place, and even all the adults had a great time. This was our second time since we live 4 hours away. We would be there all the time if we lived closer! We like the size and don't get board. The price is right and you can bring in your cooler! Definitely a must visit. Plus the bathrooms are clean! Keep up the good work pirates cove!

Took a group of 14 kids here. Apparently the park was celebrating Christmas in July. The decor was pretty cute. Entrance was easy, and the shop at the front was fairly well stocked with things a person might want at a water park. Prices were pretty reasonable too. The kids loved the slides, lazy river, pool equipment and pools. We didn't get to go to the biggest pool because the kids were so content to spend time in the smaller areas. My one complaint is a major one. The lifeguards might be perfectly good at their job. However, they don't necessarily have the training to deal with a stressful situation, which is integral in a place that's packed to the brim with children. The park had to call a lightning warning, and they did it a bit later than would make a person feel comfortable. The parking lot became a major traffic jam, and if there had been any serious sort if disaster Pirates Cove would have been dealing with chaos.

Plenty of parking. All of the employees are nice and friendly. Bathrooms were clean, dry, and stocked this time around. Grounds are kept nice and clean. We love coming here because it’s smaller then water world and its perfect for kids to enjoy.

Lots of fun but limited for any child under 6. Because if your child cannot go down the waterslide side by themselves in the second half of the park you spending too much until they're ready and able to do all the rides. Because they do not allow any two people to ride down together. Your child has to be able to do it by themselves. May I recommend the Apex Center in Wheat Ridge (they allow 2 to ride water tube or the Wheat Ridge Rec Center off of 38th and Kipling to get water tube acquainted.

It's a great place to go if you have kids. It's got a lazy river, a swimming pool, a pirate ship play area/splash pad, and waterslides. Food is not bad and you are allowed to bring your own along with umbrellas, drinks, etc. However, you cannot bring in alcoholic beverages

The woman who booked the party said we could bring our own food then when we tried to bring in the pizza they made us move the ENTIRE party (consisting of 20+ people) outside. The package cost near $400 and to not include food or let us bring food is completely ridiculous.

Friendly staff, water slightly too cold, strict on no goggle rule; water doesn't have a lot of chlorine and is friendly to the eyes. Needs a hottub/warming pool badly. I hate being there for a couple of hours and just shivering the whole time despite moving around. Showers are warm; but not at the end of the night.

Pirate's Cove is an annual, family tradition. Water slides, lazy river, pirate ship, splash pad, sandy beach, good food and even better treats. The lifeguards are well-trained. Prices have gone way up this year but we still found good coupons to make it affordable fun for all ages.

Went as a outing for our dentist office. Kids had alot of fun...but every vending machine was empty and snack bar had closed for some reason. Other then that one odd inconvenience of horridly timed thirst we had a great time and will return next season.

If you're going to go, don't go on Friday at midday... Absolutely nowhere to sit and place our things. My fault. So you really have to be there right when they open. There's plenty of shaded areas, tables, and chairs, you just have to claim it quick. They also have cabanas you can rent which are a great option. The three stars are because of the staff member who watched my son get hit by some bigger boys and didn't do anything about it. He simply turned his head. I get it, perhaps he was new and didn't know what to do but at least stick up for the little kids. It's okay, I stepped in and made it right. I will say that the life guards on duty that day, saved a young girl from drowning. They were immaculate in their protocol and did everything by the book. Great job

Always a fun time. The kids really enjoy this place. The staff is always friendly and the prices are low. My only complaint is that they could take better care of their restroom/changing rooms. I had the food for the first time and it wasn't half bad.

It was a very hot day and the place was packed! We couldn't find a parking spot and neither could the other 10 or so cars we were following around. We found a spot across the street in a public park. The park had multiple areas for different ages/skill levels. It would have been a better experience if it were less crowded. The life guards were very attentive but with the number of children in the water, I watched my grandchildren closely. They did enjoy themselves although they weren't able to swim freely. They especially enjoyed the large splash of the water bucket dump.

Nice 12 and under water park. There's three water play areas and a massive sandbox. You can bring in your own food and beach tent. They have lounge chairs and some picnic tables, but they do get occupied quickly. Nice staff.

We had so much fun at the lazy river, splash pad, diving board, slides and play area. We learned from toys experience, I'll be bringing my shade tent next time as chairs were hard to find. I have literal blisters on my feet from the hot ground so will bring deck shoes.. The food is expensive of course. This was an impromptu trip so didn't plan well food wise. Next time I'll plan better. One note to add. We came on a Sunday. A day I expect to be calmer and more laid back. The cops were there TWICE in 4.5 hours time. They lost a full star for that. Might deserve to lose a second star for it. I'm not sure.

Paid $374 for a birthday party for my daughter never got called for oir party area had to remind them it's party time. The party area was not truly clean cake wasn't right, the dude that was supposed to be our host was garbage. Well at least the kiddos had a good time.

Great place for the younger and older kids. I only give 4 stars because some of some of the life guards, NOT all...that are at the end of the slide pool, totally freak out if the child does not stand straight up in 2 seconds after they come down.....even though my child past the height test and knows how to keep their head above water and doggy paddle AND can touch the bottomof the pool....they just blow their whistle and rush in and make you fill out an incident report. So at my niece's birthday...we had three kids go down and 2 out if the 3 had to have a report done...Like yes i agree SAFETY is important but come on Pirates Cove...she could touch the pool bottom...please use common sense with your ALL of your guards. I even thanked the young gentleman life guard when we went a second time down because he was paying attention and knew she was fine and did not signal a drowning... So it must be that some guards are either unprepared or inexperienced.

A great, safe place to take little kids. I have a 5 and 2 year old that love the water. They have splash pads, and a large enough 3.5 ft pool area that the kids can enjoy. The larger slides and pools are in a separate area and so my littles aren't bothered that they are unable to play there. They have a Sandy Beach area to play in as well. I love that you can bring your own food in, too. We will definitely be getting season passes each year!

It's a small place: 3 slides, small diving board and pool area with a lazy river. There is a kids area that's nice but the whole place is better for children than adults. For the price it's okay. A little dirty overall and the side walks are sticky from food and sandy from the kids sand pit. I will say there lots of lifeguards so that's a plus. There's a concessions stand and lots of parking.Overall, nice but small.

If you want Water World but on a budget or smaller scale then this is it. If you go during the week, you will be surrounded by bus loads of kids. They have lockers and they are $5/$8 depending on size. Restrooms were fairly clean even mid-day when people were throwing toilet paper on the floor. The only complaint I had was someone needs to monitor the empty tubes for the lazy river. It's not safe to expect someone to grab a tube in the middle when its jammed packed plus people don't care if you been trying for 5 minutes to get one. Water World has someone pull out the empty tubes to keep the flow going and to allow people to grab them as they go.

Kinda expensive in my view for a place that had some areas that were not functioning. Also, as a storm came in they were pushing people out the gates yet the storm died after a hour or so. I already left but my friend who came a little before the storm paid full price. Could have provided a discount for next time. This is a great place for younger children. The price is reasonable. We rented a cabana. They don't have a great selection of food. I would suggest you bring a picnic lunch. But they do sell pizza and snacks. Lots of fun for the kids. There is a large sandbox for building sand castles if you want a break from the water. The older kids had a great time as well.

This is a good place to go if you're looking for a bargain water park. Entry is $16/adult and $15/kids. Chikdren 2 and under are free. You will want to get there early to ensure that you have opportunities to get chairs or a table. The facilities are well suited for kids ages 14 and under. Food is reasonably priced but lacks variety with the typical park offering of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken strips, and ice cream. My only disappointment was in the cleaniless of the lounge chairs. They should be wiped down more often because i get the feelong they are cleaned only once per season.

Pirates cove is a great place to have fun, but the more you go there, the more you get bored of it. I’ve been there more than 10 times and the first few times it was all fun, but the more I’ve gone there, the more I’ve gotten bored of it. Like same stuff that you do. Ive been going there over a period of 4 years and I haven’t seen any new editions to it. But other than that, again it’s a great place to have fun with your family and friends, great food to eat, a lot of room to relax, and just overall a great place.

Going to PIRATES COVE WATERPARK made my first visit to COLORADO a great one. I had a blast with my family and friends here. Pirates allowed food and drinks so that i didn't have to purchase any inside the establishment. If i ever visit Colorado again i will definitely return to Pirates. I highly recommend going here.
