REVIEWS OF Lakeside Amusement Park IN Colorado

Ivan Moreno

Love this place, and its history. Although it is not remodeled or updated, i think that's perfect, you can still feel the nostalgia that this place has been carrying for years and years. It is cheap to get in, and people might not want to visit for that same reason, but to me is one of the cheapest museums in the city, really nice and interesting story behind it, take some time and do research on this place and you will be surprised of what this place has gone through. Really recommend for people to visit.

Abby Benson

I love Lakeside! I truly don't understand why anyone would do their amusement park adventures anywhere else. The rides are great. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and never had to wait long to get on a ride. It's a good value. It's full of charm and nostalgia.

James Sillman

Pretty good deal. They really need to improve the ticket booth situation inside the park (very slow moving lines). There is decent carnival good for reasonable cost. Plenty of rides for toddlers and adolescents. Some good old carnival rides for adults. I only go on off peak times, because I want shorter waits, and better parking.

Steve Smith

Love love love Lakeside. Short lines, good prices, authentic nostalgia.

Alex Gladsjo

Lakeside is one of those amazing places, where it's been fun for families for generations. I always love coming here! It's been a place where great childhood memories have been made, and I can't wait to bring my own kids here someday too.

MYKEL Blank

Still great rides, they just need to clean up all the trash, and extra parts laying around.

Zibby Williams

I really love this historical place it was great in my childhood and now that im and adult my children love it I brang my 2 Daughters and I mean they really enjoyed it for their first time. Some of the rides where closed due to maintenance but overall and good experience.

Daniel Hoffman

Unpredictable opening times for rides, long lines, and generally dirty environment. Rides for little kids are OK; lines move quickly, there's a good variety in the types of roses, and prices are reasonable. But I spent three hours there trying to get into 'grown-up' rides, and got on a total of four that entire time. Part of the reason is that I got into a line at 6:55 for a ride that was supposed to open at 7, and finally gave up and left at 7:20 when still nobody had showed up to run it.

David Liverant

Run down, many of the rides were closed, only a cpl concessions stands are open anymore. Been going since the 70's and its sad to see such a great place continue to go down hill.

jergy13

Good fun at a decent price, but don't go for the food or that feeling of perfect safety.

Rodney Overbey

Very old run down park but with good prices!

Kenny Haggstrom

A bit of a disappointment. I didn't come expecting a whole lot, and I was still let down. At least half of the rides were not running/working. I don't expect Elitch, but at least have the rides that you DO have be operational.

So I went with my friends to Lakeside, a fun outing before school started. First, my friend had the free library tickets, good for one free unlimited ride I.D. each, and had 4 of them, one for each of us. Even so, when we went to exchange them, the ticket booth lady only gave us 2 wristbands, and my other friend and I had to pay 13.50 each to get our wristbands. Afterwards, we went to management to ask about this little mishap. We had asked around the other ticket stands and they had all said we needed to take it up with management. We went, and there was this teenager there, and we told her about the situation, asked about what we could do. She told us we couldn't get a refund and kept smirking at us. She was evidently not taking us seriously because we were just kids without an adult with us at the time! The entire time, she was very rude and snobby while talking to us, and eventually told us to "get out. We don't do refunds here." I brought $20, and had to use it all, while my friend chipped in for the other $7. This left me with no money for dinner or dessert or any drinks at all. I had to rely on my friends (thanks to them ♡) to eat and drink. Customer service was pretty terrible, but this doesn't speak for all the people there. Some were amazing! The rides were fun, but didn't like to staff, so I probably won't be coming here again.

Joe Flores

1st time there. It was awesome for the babies. Cant wait to go fir Adult fun.

Dwayne Johnson jr

It's so fun especially with the kids. They need staff. Not all the rides were open but short wait lines. Staff is young be they managed to get the job done. I recommend this place.

Shavon Glasper

Best place ever. My favorite place to have fun.

Maria Staley

I love this place hope it never closes I've been coming here forever

Rich stillclevelandbrowndown Mitchell

Are used to go when I was super young one of my most favorite places ever especially at night

CB VSG look at me!

It was fun for the money, it is old but you have to get the kids to appreciate something they have never seen before. Good fun for the price, make sure you get a coupon

Panda Robles

Fun place for family to spend the day . Affordable fun

Jared Rennie

Love all the rides, all the employees are super nice. Cash only for food but it is good, love their double cheeseburgers and fries. Super reasonably priced and all yummy. The neon lights at night are terrific. The Cyclone is one of the old school wood roller coasters and it is so much fun, better without the new bells and whistles. Opens at 6 and grown up rides by 7. You can bring a picnic in and relax. Games of chance(does anyone ever win?)but still a lot of fun. It is a great time every time-been going for almost 20 years with and without the kids!

Dominique Bettini

We had a fun affordable family day. I like the prices even on food and drink. I just wish they had some games open for the kids..all it needs really is to be updated, especially the restrooms. Rides were great kids had a great time. We will be back, but PLEASE update a little. Add a funhouse maybe?

BA R

After living in Denver for five years I've never visited Lakeside because it had such a bad rep. I wish I didn't listen to the haters! It was so much fun and I found the retro infrastructure and art deco design to be incredibly charming! Not to mention it is very affordable! I will go back!

Babi Tearz

Loved the old feel to it. My daughter and I came down for a week and it was amazing to be able to share the memories we've made there.

Martin Hood

A beautiful throw back In time.

Jesse Hutchens

I do like the ease at which things go here. It's not too expensive and the kids still enjoy it. At night, with the sun setting over the lake it's a good setting.

Eric Herhager

Great amusement park, short lines, relaxed atmosphere, super retro vibe!

Jennifer Torrez

Fun place to go at a decent rate. Getting the wrist band is the way to go if you/your kiddos are going to want to ride multiple things. The lines aren't very long (except for a few rides) and the staff is helpful. I did order a jumbo dog from the eatery they have and it was ice cold after being "cooked" on the grill, so I wouldn't recommend that. You can go back and forth to your vehicle with ease so I recommend bringing a cooler of food and drinks. Have a picnic. There are benches throughout the park.

Rhonda Lane

Fun rides and surprisingly decent food items to buy while there. The place looks kind of rundown but it's still got it's charm factor. During the week gets you a very nice all inclusive price and kids will like the kiddie rides. My favorite part is they allow you to bring in food and have covered picnic tables to use!

Michael Underwood

I grew up in Denver so I've always liked Lakeside. It could use some TLC though. I kept finding myself wanting to go around and straighten this and paint that... But we had fun.

Katherine Thompson

Overall I really like the general atmosphere of the place. The workers don't always have the answer to the questions that you're looking for however they do seem to be able to find somebody who does and that is always a plus. I do however wish they wouldn't tidy up the place just a little bit more. And actively work on restoring the park. I am most of my friends would pay more to come through the gates if it was more restored there are so many attractions that you guys could really really improve on. Like reopening the theater. Or offering it as like an event place. You can bring your own food here which I've always liked. And it's pretty easy to reserve some tables. It's a fair amount to pay to get in and I enjoy that you have the option to either enjoy a few rides for a couple of tickets or you can purchase an all day pass for a solid price. Their arcade games are really nostalgic. The train ride is really awesome. Two things that you do not offer that I believe should be offered is there should be some place where you can buy diapers wipes small hygiene products in travel size and like a little sore or something it would make a lot more money then I think you're realizing. and the second is that there is no where you can get sunscreen without leaving the park and coming back. at elitches there are sunscreen everywhere there is both the kind that you can buy and just a bump one by the water park no I know it's not really like something that a lot of people think about but even if you offered it for like I don't know a dollar a pump or something it would be worth it I would spend the dollar my little white children need to not burst into flames. And if I should so happen to have not brought my own sunscreen I would really appreciate either somewhere to buy it or somewhere to get it for free.

Dea Watkins

This place is charming! It's cheap to get in and ride one, a few or all they do tickets and wristbands. People could bring in picknicks and the place had plenty of tables for them. There is a train that you can ride around the lake I would recommend doing at night. Awesome old school rides reminded me of my chilhood. The antique pre WWII rollercoaster will knock your socks off! Minus 1 star because the bathroom were wretched.

littlewar 1739

It's really old but it's fun and the staff is always smiling which just warms my heart

Amber Chavez

We enjoyed coming to Lakeside a lot the previous 2 years, but this year, it seems like most of the rides are shut down or beginning to fail. I'd honestly be willing to pay bit more for admission if they would just try to fix up and maintain this amusement park

Reed Larsen

It's not the greatest amusement park. Sometimes it feels like fly-by-the-night carnivals might have safer rides. However, there are alot of family rides. The prices are reasonable. The staff are kind. And it brings back alot if memories.

Crystal Rodriguez-Lobato

If you want an original experience.of an old theme park...this is your place. Great fun can be had on the train ride around the lake and carousel ❤

Joseph Milnes

Classic old school theme park. Overall it's great, just lately there's a lot of junk coaster cars stacked everywhere which is making it loose it's appealing aesthetic. Not all the riders are open all the time. Would like to see this place in full bloom again.

Jose Vieitez

I didn’t know what to expect going in as it looks old from the outside, but it blew away my expectations! Our kids loved the rides in the kids area, and I think this will become a regular activity for us!

Edward juarez

This is an old fashion amusement park. More of a carnival. Make sure to bring cash if you want to buy food.

Mandy I

An intact slice of Denver culture and US history. Not fancy in a corporate way. Affordable fun for the whole family. Fantastic and intact art deco architecture. Historic Cyclone wood roller coaster is must ride.

Abigail Posey

Lower prices than elitches from tickets to parking to food and drinks. Older park but same rides my kids enjoy. Low to no ride wait times. Lenient on height requirements. Wish more rides were open and more managers directing teen staff in kiddieland. Will go back for affordable evening out of the house.

Dorothy August

Though I currently live in Tucson, I grew up in the Denver area, and visiting Lakeside Amusement Park was a regular childhood experience. It is nostalgic for me to visit the park. I do miss the Star Ride and the opportunity to feed the fish, but I love riding the train. I also miss seeing the tower lit up at night, but I know that takes a lot of electricity. Lakeside Amusement Park offers wholesome entertainment for a reasonable price.

Age

It's ok but it's not the same anymore

Steve Henderson

A nostagic place to go and see art deco architecture everywhere. The place needs a remodel but I didn't care cause this was my childhood I was walking through!

Connie Jones

It is old..we went for kiddie rides. Got there at 3:30 only 4 rides open! Finally at 6pm they opened 4 more rides. The frogger and skater rides were closed for maintenance all year. And these are the newest kiddie rides and there closed. There was some other kiddie rides closed too, but they weren’t the new ones. So not very many kiddie rides. We didn’t venture into the older rides. I wish they could get some of these rides working, it is a little run down, kinda sad because this could really be a cool place for Denver.

vino Johns

Great time and you dont have to stand in line long always fun

Tamara Neeley

Great place just to have fun! Not Elitch's but more cost effective! A lot of rides were not running but for the price & FABULOUS "food" cost I believe this is more than worth it for fun!

Angela Collins

Sure it's not new and shiney but it is just so much fun. I love that the lines are never that long especially in the kid area. My little ones can jump from ride to ride and they love it.

Melissa Meredith

We had a pleasant evening but I'm glad the tickets were a gift. Maybe it's great for small kids but my kids are 11 and 12 and they weren't impressed. It's pretty run down. Needs a lot of maintenance. Broken equipment piled up all over. That was kind of sad to see. The people were all very nice. I got some super cool pics for myself though because I loved the graveyard amusement park feel.

Justin Tyme

Visited this place for an evening while we were in town. Time definitely forgot this place about 40 years ago if not longer. It was cool for the historic aspect and the rides were fun. Didn't eat any food there. Some of the patrons appeared questionable, so I'll just say keep a close watch on the kiddos. Take the 13.5 minute train ride around the lake and enjoy the view of what was.

Benji Herrada

Came on a Wednesday price wasn't too bad workers have I dont like my job attitude not enough rides running! Too dark like creepy watch your kids dark!

The Honey People Curry

This place could really use a makeover. Peeling paint, inoperable rides and unsanitary conditions permeate the park. Games to were broken and untended. Out of all the park employees we interacted with only four seemed knowledgeable and friendly. It has become very sad to watch Lakeside's decline. One can only hope that the next generation of owners/ caretakers takes more of an interest in providing a fun safe experience for its community.

Arvis Layton

It's like the dive bar of amusement parks. I love it!

not real

I love it I go there for every birthday party

monique Everett

Love this place! I love the old school feel it has. Have been coming here since I was little and I now take my own kids who also love it!

Lori R

Went on Memorial Day with my dad who is in a wheelchair at 97 years young. We spent 3 hours there and had a great time! We had a lunch in one of the many picnic areas, rode the merry go round ride, took the adult train ride around the lake (Loved the tunnel!), and watched other rides as we toured the park. Price is right and the cinnamon & sugar pretzels are fantastic. The employees are super helpful. Great place to enjoy a bit of the past and have some great fun.

Diane Zimmerman

Great family fun at a reasonable price. Love the nostalgia and could easily imagine my grandparents enjoying a similar park in the 1930-40's.

Sarah Winn

So much fun for all ages! Good prices. Even better on weekdays. (Except Tuesday..closed).

Floated artist

We had tickets that shaved off a buck fifty per ticket / person going, not that much right? They were expired so we called a week in advance, and they said that they would extend them cause you know, business. We get here and the lady was like "sorry you can't use these" and when we called the place they pretended that we didn't call them. It sucked because my little sister REALLLLLLLY wanted to have her birthday here, cause she'd never gone. My parents scraped up barely enough money so that she could go so when this happened it was just so tedious and frustrating. At least I got to see my sister smile.

Alex Harb

Amazing and cheap fun, all ages including teens can go! On week days $17 for unlimited rides 6-10ish or $4 entry (you're given 2 tickets) $.50 per ticket (but it may take up to 8 tickets for a ride)

The Assimilator

Great for the younger audience. Little to no wait times on most rides and attractions. Prices are nice as well.

Mr. Noneyabidness

Fun time with friends and family. The park has a lot of history, and many fun rides.

Brian G

Amazing. You can literally travel back in time here. Experience a bygone era. All at an affordable ticket price. I just wish they undertook some more restorations on the park and some of its rides given their historical value. I can imagine it's a lot of work as is though. Good times!

5280 303 DENVER!!

It's a good time. It's cheap some of the good rides where not working. like the bigger ones but for the kids great way to spend the night. Parking was easy and close so with parking 2 kids 2 adults was like 70 bucks. Park is old needs a good cleaning lines are not to bad around 10 min for the big rollercoaster.

Jay Somebody

This place has gone far downhill since I was a kid. I'm 29. Denver raised and spent many days here. The rides seem unsafe and dilapidated. I get the nostalgia but come on. You can't fix everything with plywood and paint. If they put some money into the park it'll be better. The food is still the same so decent. The pickles by the roller coaster are amazing. Hence the extra star. But I will never go back. So many memories. But come on. FIX THINGS. RESTORE THEM. MAKE THEM NICE.

Takeenia E.

Park is definitely and old gem, but I must say.. my 2 year old was able to ride alot of rides! That was the good part. I like that you can bring you own food and grab a table.

JESSE MARTINEZ

Fun place to have a birthday party and not that expensive for kids to have fun until midnight

Habbies Toys

My kids love this place! They can ride all the rides and you don't have to stand in line for 40 minutes waiting to get on a ride.

Allie Mitchell

Enjoyable amusement park for people who enjoy a good old fashioned Fair feeling! the rides are well maintained even though they are old, and the price is great! you can get single tickets like you would at a fair, or a wristband for all-access.

Gordon Flammer

No lines, cheap price, and just rickety enough to add fear to excitement. Definitely a diamond in the rough. Highly recommend!

Annmarie Sandoval

Lakeside is amazing! We brought our kids and all of the kiddie rides were perfect for little ones. And it's super shady for hot days. Prices are great! Parking and entry is breeze.

levi jones

Great place to take a family for a cheap night of fun. Would get the fifth star if they put more effort into updates.

M & M

This place has really gone down hill please do some updates a lot of stuff here doesn’t even work yet there’s so much potential I really loved it here.

Jennifer Noon

Hasn't changed. Quite a few rides were not running. But we had fun.

Jennifer Thompson

It's a really old amusement park and it looks like it. Not all rides are operating either. Still a good places to have fun for a lot less than Eliches. Better suited for kids and teens.

Dominique Perez

We really loved it despite the bugs and old everything! Haha the employees ate extremely nice and it's like a step into nostalgia for sure. My son had a blast and park entry is only $4 a person, 13 dollars if you want unlimited ride wrist band. Worth it! The only thing I would change is the cigarette smoking throughout the park, I mean there's children everywhere! But, overall good fun for cheap price. And be ready for crazy parking on loose gravel.

Stephanie Martinez

This place is unforgettable I would like to see an upgrade there because this is for our little ones!

Jairo fontes

Fun place to take the family. Small wait times. Worth the price. Staff is very nice and good at there job.

Julie Armana

This is so amazing place with all the beautiful sight seeing. It was just like a fairy tale view. Awesome. Clean and has lot of food court and good food as well.

Melissa Dykhuis

Fun park! My 4 and 6 yr old kids enjoyed it. I gave it four stars because it's super confusing to figure out its hours and pricing, and some rides didn't work, but otherwise it was a lot of fun with fairly short lines during the afternoon. Kids loved the rides in Kiddieland which opened at 1pm, but adults can't ride those, so any kids or adults older than about 8yrs might want to wait till 6 or 7pm when the big rides open. Some rides were broken or under repair, which was a little disappointing. We used our library summer reading passes for our kids tickets and then bought adult unlimited rides, but for our age of kids it would have made more sense to not buy adult unlimited passes and just use some tickets to ride individual rides at cost. Overall, we had a good experience and would go back next year, with more awareness of how the park and pricing works and what to expect.

Kevin Loeffler

The classic! Great retro rides and environment. The Cyclone is without a doubt the beat coaster in Colorado- and I have been on over 150 coasters across the US!

Mccooper 665

I LOVE Lakeside Amusement Park! The ambiance is so calming and nostalgic as many of the buildings in the park are from the early 1900's. This also gives it an antique feel. There is also a diverse selection of rides from both older and younger place. Plus, for how many rides there are, the unlimited rides pass is fairly cheap (I think its about $17.00).

Elvis Colucci

This place has been family owed for 100 years! It’s a good value for families with younger children. Just know, It’s getting a little run down and in desperate need of some TLC!! With that being said, it’s a great old nostalgic park, it’s really a night park, but it’s on the shore of lake Rhoda, and the lake keeps it cooler throughout the day. The food is reasonably priced, as far as attractions prices go. Picnics, coolers and such are always welcome and there are picnics area are everywhere. A great place for birthday parties and family reunions! The wooden rollercoaster is Awesome. They still have tickets for rides or you can buy wristbands for unlimited riding.

April G

It's is old and all the rides are open and some of it seriously needs paint, but I love it. It's retro cool and has lots of trees and benches and picnic tables and baby strollers and happy children.

Scott Posilkin

Amazing on an event night. Fine otherwise. Old amusement park. Go at sunset.

Miriam Jael Marin

Had a great time with my kiddo, not too badly crowded on a week night. And enough games for the little ones to keep entertained.

Ashley Mondragon

I've been going here since I was in my mom's tummy and I'll forever go till I can't anymore. Lakeside is one of my favorite places ever even though I'm all grown up I'll forever scream and be excited as a little kid when I visit this is my place ❤️❤️

Kelly K Smith

Old school Denver Art Deco beauty of an amusement park. Summer Scream is a great night to go!

Lisa Gutierre

I was just so happy every time I was with here with my family and friends. This place was extremely amazing and very relaxing wandering around with so much fun rides and other great spots. This place builds a lot memorie4s of every tourist visited here.

Anna Martinez

I have been going to Lakeside since I was a little girl. It brings back alot of Beautiful memories of my Mom..Dad..Brothers and sisters. It is a Beautiful place to walk around with your Grandchildren..as I have.

Constance Maes

One of the best old time Denver places that haven't been changed or knocked down I definitely Love this amusement park especially the thrill of riding the 100 year old rollercoaster!

Adrian Nagle

We attend here every year with the younger children. Lakeside is awesome for toddlers where they can go from ride to ride and ride what they want. The small roller coaster is obviously a big hit. There are the larger rides for teenagers and adults which are old, but it adds to the nostalgia for adults and fun for the children. The park is decently kept up, but certainly shows wear and not always cleaned up after crowds. Food is actually affordable here so I don't feel that stress when out with our large family. The decor and symbols throughout the park should make this park a landmark if not already. There is a miniature train ride around the lake which makes for a nice break if the excitement gets to unbearable with the children. I'll add thanks to the honest patrons or staff that found my wallet which I was able to recover the next day.

Curt Hunnewell

Such a fun, vintage place. Kids and adults alike love it. The Cyclone rollercoaster is solid.

Denise Rodriguez

Fun place to go lines are long and a few rude staff(young people) but we did have a good time.

Celery MonteCelery

Upsides: it's cheap, and the lines are short! The coasters are delightfully terrifying, and the rest are about as expected. A few only exist at Lakeside now! Downsides: to stay cheap, maintenance is pretty much focused on the essentials. Be prepared for some less than beautiful upkeep on the buildings. I really wish it could be restored as a historical monument, because the history is definitely worth preserving, but it would probably make it ridiculously expensive to attend. But don't be scared off by the slightly tarnished appearance: it might not be new, but you definitely get your money's worth!

Adam Boatner

This is a lovely place to go. It's an old amusement park so expect an old amusement park. The scenery is quite captivating and I enjoy watching the lights come on as the sun goes down. The staff is always friendly and I find the admission price to be very fair. Even the food inside was surprisingly inexpensive. This is a wonderful spot for a date night. It has its own special charm.

Brad Cranwell

Good value. Rides were fun. Park needs a lot of maintenance.

John Burns

On weekdays not very crowded. Lots of rides. Only open a few hours at night..check schedule

David Shaddox

Ghost town, must've been a cool place to go ba k in the day

Roland Ruiz

Load's of fun, nostalgic, low prices, fun work staff, company party's available, great location and hour's, lot's of fun rides...

Jenny Mentzer

Good please to have fun and rid the rids! My favorite rid is the Sidewinder!

Paul Hammond

Lakeside remains a classic amusement park from a much earlier time. Its imposing wooden roller coaster, the Cyclone Racer, hasn't lost its charm and its ability to thrill, either!

Cheyne Polston

Went today at 2pm till 9:30pm it was awesome for the kids and adults and Grandparents lol! There was a gentleman in a blue Lakeside shirt (Boss) I think, talked to him by the airplane ride he made sure all the people and staff were always good Great Job!! We will back for SURE!!

VandR Machado

We love Lakeside! We go every year with all the family and its always a great time! We also love how they are still serving their items at a great love price! That's always a plus with a big family like ours!

Patrick Crowley

Vintage rides at a reasonable price, but, it needs some maintenance and repair.

Taz C

Bad parking, fun rides. Place needs a remodel and some more fun rides, many rides were down in my last visit.

Annabelle Hardin

I wouldn’t recommend this place for ANYONE! It’s supposed to be a kid friendly place when there workers are RUDE to the kids. I will not be bringing my family back here.

Bongo Kitten

Dirty, staff needs rehab. Rides "broke" frequently Place seems held together with duct tape and bubble gum. My daughter is too young to notice and seemed to enjoy herself, but we won't be back

Celina Gonzalez

Overall my kids had a great night my brother had to deal with some rude people tho specifically a worker named Don or as we called him Dong. He needs to consider how he talks to people he was extremely rude and had a horrible attitude. But besides Dong (Don) it was great.

Romero Family

We love lakeside especially when we have coupons! So much fun! We stay all afternoon. Until closing. My children love it and so do I!

Anna Stockton

I wish the drop zone was open but everything was pretty reasonably priced

Evan Carmichael

This could be the crown jewel of this area if the owner put money back into the park! That being said rides are cheap but ran by high schoolers and you can bring a cooler and chill all day.

Stacy Bramer

Fun, but wish they could repair some of the rides that are not working or falling apart. & Miss seeing the tower of light from a Mike down Sheridan.

Ais Mom

I'm a local native. It's a great price and not stuck up.

Emily Ragan

Old facilities but we always have so much fun here. Bring your own food!

Steven Harrison

Each year the struggle, now they have less rides, less people to maintain the grounds, and it feels like they wont be in business much longer. It's sad there are a lot of great memories

Brandy Miller

A bit run down, not alot of staff to man all the rides, nkt a lot of concession options. They should let other vendors come in and split profits. It is still old school and a great value. Kind of really feels like being a kid again. Really neat a night time. Train that goes around the lake is cool. Lots of kiddie rides.

Christopher Fox-Endsley

Always fun for the kids. But getting more expensive. Used to be 5$ per car noe its 4$ per person and you still need tickets/wrist band.

Jeff Wright

It may be been a great place in Its day. Now it very run down and really kinda sad to think what it prob once was and what it is now. That said, still fun for the family at a low price

Mic Vitry

The chance of getting tetanus really just enhances the fun at this point.

Doodle Bear

Very fun old school carnival rides. The funnel cake is

Michael Moniger

This place is exhilarating in a risking-your-life kinda way.

ClydeMonkey 07

I love lake side so much. It is an amazing place and the rides are very fun. I come here every year for my birthday however it is a little pricey and the wild chipmunk hurts really bad. But other than that I love it.

Mellissa Ealey-Bonge

It's older and clearly been well used over the years, but this place is an amazing piece of Denver and Colorado history. Many of the structures are originals, look into the place a little before visiting and it's fun to realize how much is still standing after all these years.

Lance Gregory

Love this place. Cheap and fun, and my kids love it! Enough kiddie rides for the small one and enough excitement for the older one. Definitely go in the evening. My family had a fantastic time and will be returning. As a Denver native Lakeside is a staple in my family going back generations, and has co tongued in to the generation

Jennifer Martinez

I Love Lakeside. As a Colorado native I have been coming here for almost 40 years. It's an affordable way to spend the day with the family. They are trying new a set up where you pay at the entrance instead inside the park, which I liked because It was more efficient. The rides and the park feel safe to me. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced. The lines are usually short even when the park is full. The best part is that history and the architecture.

Tina Martinez

Great place for an outdoor activity. Kids had a blast ... limited lines for the rides!

Jesus Chavez

Best place for kids under 15 years old super fun!!!

Don Austin

Serviceable if you're on the go. Never my first choice.

Bianca DeHerrera

I love Lakeside! Always have. No super long lines or over priced items

To start we tried to use a coupon that we have used before and the people at the gate did not know how to take the coupon. They sent us to the office where we were asked to wait. We waited 40 minutes until finally a manager showed up and told us sorry she had been at the front gate. She then told us that we could not use the coupon but she would do something for us since we waited so long. Turns out she offered us 25 dollars at first. This is more then the posted 23.50 that they show at the gate. She ended up giving us tickets for 20 each but she took 20 minutes telling us we couldnt use the coupon and trying to figure out math. The staff is overworked and not friendly at all.

It's a run down old amusement park on its last legs, yet the employees and the guests, make the best of it. I love the food item menu prices at a buck for a drink, $2 for fries, and so on... take the train ride. Definitely worth the price of admission.

Mike Peddycord

For the age and price it is a great deal. And the labor day weekend prices are unbeatable. In the process of adding a new to lakeside classic rollercoaster. This caused some other rides to be closed. Home to a rollercoaster on the historical list. I still enjoy taking my second round of kids there

BoriceKayla Stevenson

Loved the rides that were open... But the employees were not happy to be there at all and were extremely rude and were not running the biz. Safely

Kristen Hall

Love Lakeside. Would be even better if more than 5 rides were open.

We had a family day here today. What an amazing value. They have stuck to their roots. Very affordable for tickets and FREE parking. Loved talking to longtime naitives whom re now bringing their grandkids. Hot day 3 icee drinks 4.50, what a deal. I am not a roller coaster girl but my husband convinced me on the history of the Cyclone. Soo fun.Mature trees flowers, allow family picnic spaces. Needs some love. Do not let Lakeside fade.

Think carnival and not amusement park. Great for young kids 3-6 especially. Food was better than expected and the staff was awesome.

Jeff Peters

So epic! Like taking a trip way back into the past, the rides are so fun, great time for all ages! Great value for the money! Cyclone was amazing!!!

Mike Caruso

Fun place for a few hours. Nice to get away from the common high tech amusement parks in this nostalgic environment. Worth the visit.

Great old school park, lots of super old rides most were operating when we went. Staff was light but so was the crowd, we went on a weekday. Lines were very short. Operators let my kids ride over and over again if the line was short which it was on almost everything except the cyclone even that one moved very fast. If a ride wasn’t operating in the kids area an operator with no line would come over and fire it up for us. Super cool atmosphere from staff and guests. Everything is a very old and may need a bit of paint here and there but you can’t duplicate a place like this! Lakeside is magical and you really should check it out. The cyclone still uses manual brakes!!! The comet at Hershey park used to be like that when I was a kid but not anymore I think they added pneumatic brakes in the late 90s It was so cool watching them run the cyclone also super fun to ride may be my favorite wood coaster defiantly my wife’s favorite but she grew up 5 minutes from lakeside so she may be biased. My tragically short 5 year old even got to ride the cyclone! He isn’t allowed to ride the comet yet... he is a quarter inch too short to be a Hershey bar... we rode the cyclone 5 times together! His first real roller coaster and he LOVED it! He also got to go on the bumper cars with me, he is too short to ride them anywhere else. All the rides seemed very old but very well maintained and incredibly original. For example the Ferris wheel stamped with a patent date of 1922 looks like it was still using the original electric motor! The train that goes around the lake seemed like it was built on site 80 years ago by some dude with a curly mustache and big meat hands and was super cool! Food was good and very affordable. Lakeside was definitely one of the best parts of my Vacation to Denver! Forget what the haters say check this place out! Parks like this are going extinct in America! The parks like this we had near Baltimore have all shut down or turned to a horrid six flags full of miserable rude line cutting thieving jerks such a shame... at least we still have Hershey park... Will definitely visit lakeside every time we come to visit the father in law.

Rides not open. Need help to get rides

The historic buildings and architecture makes it a pleasant place to spend a day with the family. Plus where else you can ride a rollercoaster thats 80 years old and fully functional. I recommend it.

noeln

This place is an absolute dump. Smoking is allowed. The rides are dilapidated and run by what liked children - making me question the safety. Looks like they haven't done anything to maintain or freshen up in decades. No wonder its so cheap to go there. Never going back.

Angelica Arreola

Great for any age! Awesome prices.

Tomas Bandera

My son loves the kiddy rides .. and we have so much fun ..the food is cheap .. everything is pretty much the same

Mario Mendoza

Lakeside has a special feeling to it. Their cheeseburgers are really good, it may be a run down place but it does sure have a lot of people visiting it.

Jenny Dalby

A great afternoon. Lots of fun!

Josette Lopez

Its an amazing fun place to bring kids. You can take your own food. Nice, snacks and pricing not bad!.

Irving U

The rides that work are still exciting and safe, funnel cake was good, it's a shame there are so many attractions that are no longer functional that just sit there to rot in the corners of the park. Would have been nice to have seen the place 30 years ago when it was in better condition.

Leroy Damian

A trip back in time! When you could have a picnic at the amusement park. Shade trees. It could use some clean up but it has character and is reasonably priced. Family friendly and no long wait times to get on a ride. Sure miss the Funhouse.

Eric Lucero

I feel like this place is on the verge of closing down. There are a lot of rides that's are no longer functional but, it was great to take my kids to a place I loved when I was little.

Kadeen Willacey

Old school fun. Needs repair. Investors help!

Eric Wright

Really nice, simple amusement park for families at a good price.

Christina Day

Every year we go to Lakeside for my uncle's bday and We bring our own picnic. The price is right! Kid friendly. Great place for kids, family and friends.

Dee Elliott

We bought two getoutpasses for 200 and this was one of the venues. We had a great time.

Amanda Schelonka

Lakeside is a great place to take your 12 and under kids or for those not seeking a big box, long line, thrill ride type amusement park. I had a great time on a Monday night with my kid sister for less than $50. Admission is paid at the gate as $4 for parking and then you can purchase all you can ride wrist bands are $14 each or tickets for just a few rides. There are 3 tame- medium thrill roller coasters and a fun "giant drop" type ride. Most other rides are the bumper car/tilt-a-whirl type carnival rides fun for teens and younger kids. Snacks and meals are super affordable! Only $2 for a slice of pizza or Super Pretzel ans $3 for a good sized Dip n' Dots. It was fun to imagine what the place would have been like in its hay-day. Enjoy the nostolgic 1950s/60s look and don't let the flaking paint and faded neon get you down. All the rides felt and looked structurally and mechanically safe.

Where are these reviews coming from? Seriously, the park has old equipment hanging all over the place (old drink, snack and popcorn machines as well), the park is run down. My kids didn't even want to eat at the park. I am talking about teenage boys who have dropped food on the floor in the kitchen and promptly ate it. The one bright side was the wooden roller coaster. One of the rides had a chipped side and it ripped the front of my pants leg. I just told them to give me twenty dollars and call it a day. They offered me free tickets and of course I declined. If you have never been to an amusement park and if you go during the week when it is only 10 dollars a person then go for it but paying 25 dollars is way too much truthfully I enjoyed traveling amusement parks a whole lot more.

Nostalgia reasons. Ice cream was only 2 bucks a cone. For the three of us it was 6 bucks. A good place for families who are on a budget.

Randy Ritthaler

It's an old and run down amusement park. It has great charm at night when the neon lights are on, during the day it's dirty and unkempt. Bring cash as only the ride to let's are purchasable by credit card. They do not serve any booze.

Rebecca Hausmann

We had a fun church potluck at Lakeside. It's nice that we could take our own food in. Unlike the other amusement park in town, the entrance price is low and affordable. It's a little run down and could use a coat of paint, but the old, original signs on all the rides are charming. It's very family friendly.
