REVIEWS OF Six Flags Magic Mountain IN California

Memberships/ Season passes are still affordable. It had been some years since I've been, but now my daughter is over the 48" mark and wanted to try every ride she could get on. She loves it and we have been half a dozen times in the past 2 months and will continue. Lines don't seem as long as they did in years past; possibly because of a variety things to do?

Danielle Morgana

Extremely long lines to get food, snacks, drinks, anything. Workers aren't very knowledgeable in their menus or items. But they seemed to be trying their best. Hurricane harbor was a great family experience but the kid rides at six flags really needed a wipe down with a disinfectant. Other than that, nice place.

Tina Robles

I love this place! 9/14/19 was the perfect time to visit Hurricane Harbor to beat the heat. This place brings back a lot of memories!!

Alejandro Martinez

Great place! Food is really expensive. If you are a family of 6 like me. It gets really pricey. There are places close by where you can get food. There's soup plantation. They just opened a McDonald's a block away from Six Flags.

Daniel Campbell

One of the best amusement parks I have ever been to. The price is better than others and it's non stop fun. Sometimes the lines can get long but that's something you can't change. The food is good if you know where to go and what to look for, same for the bathrooms. The rides are incredible and there is so much to do with the whole family. The deals you can find for the park are great to. It's at least affordable. It's always better to go with somebody who has been to show you the ropes and secrets.

Jessica Flores

I had a great time! I got to go on all the rides and I had a blast! It was a great day! Thank you Six Flags Magic Mountain!

Zee Maniac

I haven't been in years but every time I go I have the most fun I've ever had, the employees do a great job with keeping the park clean, all the roller coasters feel safe even the older ones that has been there for years. If you're a screen queen, you are going to have the most fun time of your life. P.S. you may lose your voice because of all the excitement.

Eunice Rendon

Had lots of fun with my 7 year old daughter! Only downfall was all the closed rides. Also an entire section of it was under construction. Wish they would lower the ticket price accordingly. Also, most of the rides we did go on didn't even have the option to purchase a picture of us on the ride

Sean Murphy

Very disappointed. Zero respect for clients. Paid for a flash pass and didn’t even need it, no one informed me it wasn’t busy and still sold it to me. Went on a pretty hot day and had to buy a $10 bottle of water as cold water fountains are hard to find and taste bad. The park feels like it needs a lot of maintenance that is being neglected. Lots of rides closed the day I went.

Jared Beskow

We had so much fun. Probably my favorite Abilene park with roller coasters. Cedar Point is probably my 2nd favorite. I recommend the gold flash pass to skip lines. With the gold flash pass we were able to go on all the biggest roller coasters and repeat a couple and still leave about an hour before closing (we arrived when they opened).

Donald Langham

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a theme park. I paid $100 for a ticket and only had the opportunity to go on 4 rides. That’s $25 per ride. Waited in line for Superman for 90 min and it broke down when I got to the front. Then walked to Goliath- it was broken. Then walked to twisted colossal- broke down. My buddy and I spent the entire day walking around the park trying to find a ride that was less than a 90 minute wait and it was impossible. The. We went to look into a flash pass. There are three different options that really don’t make any sense. The cheapest flash pass is $50 and you still have to wait the entire estimated time for a line... Six Flags Magic Mountain is truly a rip off and not worth the time or money. I highly recommend staying away from this place

Yess Please

Love this theme park. Great for thrill lovers. The flash pass is definitely worth it. Felt like I really got my day's worth. Wish they had more availability for water stations. Also wish they had more restrooms.

jarod salas

Their kids area is great for the littles ones have just about free reign to ride until their faces fall off. So much better than the OTHER amusement parks when it comes to that. And I haven't even mentioned the thrill rides here for the older folks... AWESOME!!! Even on a summer day the lines never exceeded 1 hour with some of the older coasters being around 10-15 minutes. GREAT value for the dollar, can't beat it!

Anise Gerardi

I'm a 28 year old stay at home mother with a 4 and 6 year old, so my everyday life is full of chaos and adrenaline and tantrums. Which turned out to be a great decision to lea e them behind. My sister in law blessed me with a free ticket and we had lunch in our cars & to cut down on thirst and dehydration we took our own empty hydro flask and were able to have them filled with ice water for free. Even though we hot there close to opening and it was hardly crowded my sister n law didnt think we got to really go on enough of the rides. But seeing my nieces all happy was priceless! Just next time we might just have a mommy coaster date!

Dan Roman

Fist time I visited six flags I was a teenager if you love thrills and heights this is the right place to be in the opposite but after a few rides had a blast. My company signed a contract with sixflags so I have been back recently the place is awesome as always just stay hydrated because it does get hot in the area.

David Stammers

Absolute must for thrill seeking roller coaster fans! We went today and my wife isn't a lover of the big ones *cough* so the majority were "single rider" entries. I don't think I waited more than 5 mins all day! Brilliant.

Beau Hovey

Got to ride everything on a Saturday. Park is open till 9. Expect some break downs, but for them to open back up. X2 will close down at least once per day, but will always open back up. Coasters are great. Bring sunscreen, season doesn't matter

Suzette

Kids loved it, rides are little rough, lots of walking, and if you don't get the flash pass the lines are long. We only visited the Magic Mountain side. $25 to park. We were there for 10 hours and rode on 10 rides. The Justice League one was pretty awesome!!

John Berrellez

Six Flags has done an extremely good job to enhance the theme park experience. They have cleaned up and refreshed a bit and continue to move forward. They also have a better variety of "healthy" food choices to offer. Very impressed. Look forward to their future.

Vivian Lu

I have a season pass to Six Flags and I've been to both Magic Mountain and Discovery Kingdom. What I love about Magic Mountain is that they have some pretty intense right for those who loved more extreme roller coasters. Unfortunately sometimes on weekends and holidays the wait times can be pretty long so you might want to think about some ways to pass time while waiting in line.

Jeff Adams

Great thrill rides. The lines are too long. Their customer service is possibly the worst ever. Purchased a season pass, upgraded online to membership. The upgrade is really just purchasing a membership (no refund of gold pass). So I paid twice for the same thing. Six flags says too bad. And they refuse to make it right. Sadly, this will be our last season as pass holders. Can't support such inept or crooked business practices. Beware.

M Wakasa

it seems like the more people show up , the more parking spaces they make.expect to wait in bathroom lines(male and female) on weekends for 10 to twenty min at a time.get there early on weekends because in ten hours, you'll be lucky to get on four " good " rides.average wait for top rides 2-3 hours! have fun

My family and i we have visit six flags in San Antonio and in Dallas, and now here in California, well the rides are awesome my kids are having so much fun, but theres always a BUT ... 1-the kids in the food area don’t really have a lot of training. 2-Teenagers have poor management of how to place people in the right places in the rides. 3-Not enough places where to sit to wait for the kids to get of from the rides. Other than that is a great place to have fun

Jamie Quintana

This place is awesome and although other theme parks are much closer to me, they aren't anything like six flags. I've been a member for quite a few years now and loving it!

John Heppell

I was going to meet up with friends there but they couldn't make it. Having already parked, I decided to go get a refund for the parking. I was told to talk to guest relations inside and that I needed to talk to security to get in. I talked to a security supervisor and he told me he'd send someone over to let me in. No one showed up after 20 minutes so I cut my losses and left. The supervisor spent that 20 standing around not doing much aside from watching people and writing on his clipboard. Incredible customer service.

Ucheya Moultrie

Love seeing the joy in his eyes when I say we're going to six flags. Great place to feel like your flying

Breanna Williams

I love Six flags! I have been coming here since I was a kid. I have the diamond elite membership. And it's worth it because of how many times I have gone with my friend. And all the benefits definitely save money! But everyone should definitely go during Halloween. That's the best time!

Meifeng Wu

My group and I visited on a dead day and the wait was rather short. We got the photo pass, but only a few of the rides took photos. Overall the rides were thrilling and scary. My favorite was definitely katsu. There is a shuttle that takes you to amusement park from the parking lot, and back.

Trevor Miller

Overall, this amusement park is very good. I'd definitely call it an amusement park, and not a THEME park, as it doesnt offer a theme like Universal or Disneyland. But, this place is a must if you even relatively like roller coasters at all. I would highly suggest buying a season pass if you have the opportunity to go more than 1 day. This park is massive, so doing everything in 1 day, especially with lines for rides, is nearly impossible. This park is also tough on the legs and feet. Definitely buy a year-long souvenir cup for unlimited refills of water, it pays for itself. On days that it is busy, do as much as you can in the first 2 hours, as after that the lines tend to get pretty long. I have a few little issues with this park, but they are all made up by the sheer amount of world-class rides this park has. If you live anywhere close, this is a must.

Natasha Camas

Great rides for all ages and levels of adventure. Be prepared to be in the sun and walk miles during the day. The dining pass is very cost effective-$35 lunch, dinner, a snack and drink refills all day.

Jeremy Renton

Good place, but don't come on labour day, and expect to waste a lot of time waiting if you do not pay for an expres pass and spend money on renting a tube... Without spending that extra money it really is not worth the entry fee... And with the extra fees, it becomes very expensive for a family....

Queen Afrikaren Plazdohtifaw deCarriere

We are Members at Magic Mountain... We haven't had any Negativity at all and we're there OFTEN. Only wish they would search for my Grandchild Ray Ban's glasses and NOT just act as if their doing it... THEY CAN FIND THEM IF THEY LOOK. BATMAN AREA. JULY 2019...

Victoria Gayle Beatty

Super fun they're getting lots of new rides and we still love all the old rides to Monday through Friday is a great time to go it's not as crowded you don't have to wait very long for the rides all most of the workers are kind and courteous they keep the rides moving quickly. Considering that Los Angeles County has 10 million people you don't have to wait long for the rides at all the best time to ride is from 5 p.m. until closing

Liliana Cortez

Haven't been to 6 flags in 10 yrs!! I forgot how much fun it was. The rides can be considered extreme, but fun none the less. Stay hydrated! Not as pricey as i thought it would be to buy food or souvenirs.

Taylor Duncan

If you go at the right times of the year, you get the full experience and enjoyment without the crowds. My fiancé and I visited six flags for his birthday and we enjoyed it 100%. Such a great time for adults and teens. Some attractions suit the young is but not the best place for small children.

Jennifer E

Best place ever!!!! If you like rollercoasters you will definitely love this place!

Lisa Fourtwenty

Best day ever, low crowd and great weather. Amazing! The park has gotten even better over the years since Ive been away 17 years.. As a avid thrill seeker, this park is the ultimate thrill park no doubt. Go on X2 and earn your wings!

Spencer T

Excellent for thrill rides, 5 stars! Grounds could be maintained better but great for the price compared to Disney.

Kristina Delaski

Today is my birthday and had the best time at Six Flags today! Went with my lady and we were able to go on all the rides! Less than 5 minute wait for all the rides, great michelada, and friendly staff!! Loved the park. Reasonable priced tickets too. Just wished we lived closer....

Katrina Ringgold

Tell All your Family and Friends! Great entertainment from the rides to the shows to the park themes!

Chuck Mound

This is the easiest review of them all. The park is great and is a must visit for all. Great rides, great coasters. Staff is friendly and the ride operators work hard to get you on your ride. One of the best in the country.

Thomas Arroyo

This park was super friendly, and the staff I felt took a hint in respect to taking the Disney approach towards customer service. Anytime we asked about something they were super helpful and even called around to get an answer for us if they didn’t have one directly. We were there on a Thursday from open to close. The best part was that every ride was a 2 minute wait or less a we were pretty much able to ride again immediately! Our annual pass has been great and we have toured 3 different parks this year. It has been so great that we have already purchased our 2020 pass!

Sabin Astralis

six flags is a wonderful place. You have lots of fun and they have an amazing variety of cuisine and drink. They have lots of different plans for if you are trying to save money and it is definitely worth your time when you go on the rides. During the later months of the year the park is less populated which means you can go into some awesome ride steaks.

Steven Teixeira

Oh my gosh! I have only been here once and I will say it was the best first time ever! And I went with my friends and after we were through in the park we have grown to be even greater friends and our love for each other after visiting this park was immense. Thanks to this park, it has shown me how to be social and not sit on my butt all day and just screw around on my phone. This park has also shown me to live life to the fullest and with each breathe is a new opportunity. Of course the rides were freaking amazing but the new bonds forged here and the older bonds strengthened in this park made me feel valued and me and my friends have a stronger connection then ever before. Thank you again and my first time visiting this park will be something that I keep in my heart forever until I die! ☺️

David Atkinson

The rides are second to none in terms of thrill white-knuckle rides. We've visited every single Florida Theme Park and none of them compare to this place in terms of 'extreme rides' All the expense has gone into the construction of the steel works, much less into the park and queue aesthetics. Thoroughly recommended.

Cameron Kapicka

Awesome time spent with my thirteen year son. .We got there at about half an hour before opening. The park was not too busy all day. Cloudy day in the mid 80's. The three water rides were closed. Bummer. The Green Lantern was amazing. I believe all the other rides amazing. Short wait time for most. First time here and I bought the gold fast pass for both of us. Didn't really need it because the lines where so short. I would say weekends and summertime better to use. Over all the best Six flags park for older kids and adults. I highly recommend that everyone of all ages tries out this amazing park.

Steven Kenedy

Wonderfully designed coasters and food for those that are ready to be thrilled to the maximum. Enthusiasm exudes happy feelings in the people throughout the park. After experiencing the rides and refreshments memories tend to be lasting ones at this cite.

Ethan Mendoza

This park is a lot better than all other parks. The rides are amazing the park is never dirty the ride ops have quick dispatches and almost all rides are amazing. I think Viper should be refurbished though

Sarah Tiedeman

Six Flags can be a lot of fun if you treat her rights and fortunately after an hour of being there I went on a roller-coaster and got totally sick and wasn't able to do anything but throw up and be dizzy whenever I liifted in my head the staff however was so nice they brought me a wheelchair and wheeled me out in the non-public areas of Six Flags which is pretty freaking incredible took me all the way to my car and allowed me to go home with some dignity intact I can't wait to get back

Matthew Garcia

Such an amazing park ! One of my favorites to go in socal. Definitely a destination for someone who seeks thrill with their coasters. All those rides are amazing to go on at some point. You get a lot of great personal experience with some of their employees but most aren't too bad. Guest service could be a lot better.

Kyle Lieberman

Great So Cal amusement park. Tons of A+ roller coasters. In fact, some of the best in the world. Only 2 negatives: It can get REAL hot in the summer. Like 100-110 degrees. There is a big lack of dark rides. Prepare for lots of walking, but I love that aspect! Tons of rides! A whole day worth of fun! Overall, great for ages 10+.

Patty Johnson

Hot but uncrowded in late August. No lines! Rides are awesome but tough on the senior crowd. Be prepared for walking hills and stairs.

Tyler Davies

Great rides, stupidly expensive. A single water bottle is $6. If you need water, ask for a complimentary water cup. They have to offer some way for you to get water for free by law.

Delilah Patino

We had an amazing time! Lines were not too bad but the only downside was we bought the $30 digital download option for the ride pictures. We were told that we just show our card at the photo booth and our pictures would be added. Well, there were more rides that didn't have pictures or their booths weren't open than there were open. Also if the ride had a video instead of pictures those were not included in the package and were available for additional costs as if the park is not expensive enough!

john florez

Fun place with lots of coasters that will keep you entertained. It can be a tad dirty and not as well run as the other mouse themed attraction in SoCal, but this is more for older kids so they don't mind as much. A lot of the rides require 52 inches thick ride, my youngest isn't that tall so there wasn't much for him to do. The kids rides are decent, so he wasn't bored, just took some planning to make sure everyone had a good time. Definitely worth a visit (especially if you have a season pass)

Patricia Woods

Today was so hot but worth it! Had ordered a cheeseburger & fries chicken strips & onion rings & a chocolate shake from Johnny Rockets, it was fast to order & fast to get & pretty damn good! Wasn't that bad everyone present today was nice & in good moods never heard a complaint lines were about a 30min to 70min wait at the end of the night last call rides especially for the newer rides went from 25, 55, 70min wait. Everyone cleared out ratherly really smooth

Judy A

Put on your most comfortable shoes because you're going to do A LOT of walking. The rides, games, food and yummy snacks make this place such a good time. If you're visiting during the weekends I would recommend getting a flash pass. The wait time for rides can be pretty long. Oh and don't forget the sunscreen if you're visiting during a hot day :)

Jagannadh Kumar

My first time roller coaster experience here. A great collection of roller coasters starting from simple ones to the ones that make you scare to get on them. I still remember those rides even after three months. Best if you go with friends.

Dan Baden

Great times! But, this place pushes patrons toward dehydration very quickly, only about half of the drinking fountains work, and there are very few of them throughout the park (take a page from Disney make big hydration stations in many locations - make your customers comfortable). Six and EIght dollar soft drinks are NOT the answer for the customer (but, it makes the park a LOT of money).

ketan yadav

Very fun place to go. Lots of high intensity, adrenaline pumping rides. Some days there are very long lines, but that's to be expected for a place like this. The water park is also very fun with lots of things to try out.

Daniel Harrison

This is the best theme park I have ever been to - 10+ Thrill rides! long opening hours! got to ride the all of them as cue's were good. Nothing compares to this in the UK. X2 is some next level.... Would 100% recommend to thrill seekers!

J.D. Julander

Six Flags Magic Mountain has some of the best roller coasters in America! My wife and I paid for the Platinum (The Flash) pass. It was a little pricier than usual but they provide you with an outdated and slow-responding watch that is simple to use and reserves you a spot in line. We were able to do everything we wanted in the time the park was open. The majority of the coasters are big and awesome! There are some huge drops and fast loops. Tatsu is really fun and Goliath as well as the Twisted Colossus were some of our favorites. Full Throttle topped the list with a little surprise the first time we rode. We are parents and this isn't a place we would take our younger children (we came just us two on this trip). There were a lot of teenagers at the park and I think that is the target audience of the park along with the adults. There could have been some fun rides for the younger ones but they weren't on our radar.

Lynn Greeley

Good to know that the membership flash pass is only good for your "home" park. After that everything went well. The kids had plenty of rides to go on and the Roaring Rapids was such fun for our 3 generational group. Lots of stairs to get to it, but lots of fun too.

gavin mcentee

Lovely staff. Great DJ. The rides are really good. It's a shame the shops and food outlets close early. We wanted to eat before we left, but every was closed.

Jonathan Steele

Love it there been there 20 times and still love this park more NOT only because it's funner then all others that are local, but it's also the closest one to my house

Erik Sawyer

Great fun! Short lines. Would like to see the park cleaner. (Trash and lost items on the ground at every ride)

gina williams

Always have a great time here. Love my season pass. It helps with my busy schedule to go a few hours at a time.

Stephen Pinks

Such a fun day! Their membership deals were great. Getting there early was the best decision - we rode all the big rides before 12 with minimal wait time. After 1, we waited for over an hour per ride.

Phil Archer

The BEST night of the year, to go. Park not crowded. Short and quick wait time. Can get on all of them. OUT on the Mountain is the bomb!

Mark Spivack

This place is magic and perfect for those people with no bones in their body to withstand the intense coasters. Once you cross 50 you should make sure you have great life insurance. Otherwise it was a blast.

Marco Medina

I really enjoy six flags but what disappointed me was they closed Tatsu and X2. For all the other rides they only ran 1 car so the lines were long. Also many of the stores were closed. Again I like six flags but yesterday was disappointing

Sara Alexon

One of the best theme parks in California. There are plenty of rides. The queue is short. So you don't have to wait for long. This place is for people of all ages.

Lucas Dow

Fun and enjoyable park with loads of rides for all ages! I would definitely recommend going here with family or friends! There are places where you can eat and relax but also have fun or get wet!

Howard Creighton

It was totally awesome!! This was my first time going to Hurricane Harbor. I did not expect for the park to have as many slides as they did. In addition, the children's parks were fun as well. I felt like a kid again.

Eddie Pintado

It took long to pay admission then it took 1 hour and half to ride GOLIATH. Thought since it was Monday it wouldn't be so packed worth guest. Also, doing understand why theme park closes at 6 pm rather then later at night. Isn't it still summer? I miss the old days when Magic Mountain wasn't as it is like now... oh well, welcome to new generation!

Rebecca Breen

I’m sure my experience would have been great if I were able to ride more than 4 rides in the 5 and a half hours I was there. Yes, I understand it was a weekend in the summer but come on... 45-90 minute wait on most rides. The app also didn’t have accurate wait times and barely worked in the park so it was pretty useless. Wasn’t worth the money or the 2.5 hour drive for us

Martha Perez

We bought the tickets on line so it made it so much easier and faster to get in the park. We went on a Monday and I couldn't believe most of the rides were only about 5 to 10 min wait. It was awesome! My kids were able to get on mostly all rides.

Selena Baughman

IDC what people say...I love six flags!! Coasters coasters coasters and Halloween is my absolute favorite time to go. Very affordable

Mario Galvan

Lots of fun. Could use more trees for shade and more staff at dinning location's. Waiting in line for lunch for a little over 30 minutes, dinner was a 55 minute line.

Jeff Bollen

Lots of good coasters, but I am 6'3" and weigh 260lbs. Could not fit on most of the good coasters. Most of the seat belts are not adjustable, so I had to leave many rides after waiting in line to ride them. Very disappointing! Definitely not worth the admission price if I could only ride 3 or 4 coasters after trying 9 or 10 of them. Lots of walking too and a limited number of benches to sit down at. Prices for refreshments were extremely high as well.

Holly Sensakovic

Halloween party was dead compared to last 2 times.......not enough smoke, Gouls and not enough music blasting around park it was a quarter of the excitement as last 2 times we went......very bummed. Stage singers not Good... Sadly but actors were amazing

Julie Horino

Best place for thrill rides or any levels actually. They have the BIG coasters but also have rides that will train you for the big ones. It's definitely worth your money. Lines can be long but if you bring something to do or have someone to talk to it's not bad at all. There's also a flash pass where you can go ahead of the line. I didn't get one cuz I don't mind waiting. They have some new big coasters and upgraded some old ones. There are also shows you can see and carnival games you can play. Great place to go. I love it

Alexander Scott

Got the platinum membership along with the flash pass. Mu favorite amusement park without a doubt in southern California. Plenty to do and of course love the DC heroes.

Dolly Gamlyn

Great thrilling rides! Plenty of shade areas and food choices were plenty but prices were somewhat expensive. I would return for sure some time.

Chuck Mound

This is the easiest review of them all. The park is great and is a must visit for all. Great rides, great coasters. Staff is friendly and the ride operators work hard to get you on your ride. One of the best in the country.

Ms. Alvarez

Had a great time at both parks took my kids 6 and 10 and their cousins 8 and 10 bought membership with lunch, dinner and snack. lunch took about two hours @ hurricane harbor so time to play was lost. I would suggest to either pack a lunch put it in one of their lockers or eat before getting there.

Deadly Siren

Had an awesome time spending my birthday day at six flags with my hubby. Wait times not so long and go to ride all the major rides except a few that were closed. Unfortunately never got to ride superman because of a 70 minutes wait time and the funny cake was great. Other then the heat cant complain:)

Joshua Talbot

Amazing world class rides including a good selection of coasters and other thrilling attractions, Themeing is sub par but is actually quite good during the fall and Christmas events. The Park can really get busy but during the off season and on weekdays it's not too bad. Food isn't bad

Andrea Gutierrez

Yes it was hot but it wasn't as crowded as expected for a weekend lines weren't so bad either staff were better than the last time I took my family and the park kept the grounds looking good. Fun times with my family!

Terry Adams

Full Throttle is my favorite ride at Magic Mountain. The quick acceleration and the surprise take off is very fun, and the way back is even better. I like that it is close to the gate and a great last stop on the way out. Don’t miss it.

Eric Munoz

This place is great! I've been to quite a few theme parks and this one has some of the best coasters around. Sure there's a wait for the most popular ones.. that's a given but the quality of the rides are top notch. I recommend buying the tickets online as sometimes they have special offers.

Victor Brown

Best time to go is end of summer when kids are going back to school. Went the 2nd weekend in August and wait times for lines were drastically shorter. Great park

Martin Hernandez

Much of the rides were close and the rides that were open keep closing because of maintenance problems. Today, I got stuck in three different rides. Got offered head of the line to only one ride. In addition, not worth buying all four Express passes $540, not all the games had Express lanes and a few of the cool games didn't offer Express lane. $923.81 in tickets plus two parking tickets didn't get my free all day pictures like I was promised, had to pay for it. To finish the pictures and their system to see on line or via my email is still down as of this moment. Plus had to pay extra $30 for video from Batman the ride because they are not the same company as the company for pictures and video's for the rest of the park. Plus $340 in souvenirs. Expensive and not the best experience. The only good thing about today is the time with my family.

Melinda Thomas

I do enjoy go to the amusement parks especially if its for a great deal. I got tickets for 2 different days, a parking pass and a complimentary photo all for $20. Great deal for a union picnic.

Yamile Tulian

If I were only judging the rides, I would give this park 5 stars. BUT everything is part of the experience not only the rides. This park needs a huge update on their systems to be able to provide better customer service. We paid for the gold flash pass, and it took forever to get it set up, and when they did set it up it wasn’t working, so we had to waste our time heading back to the flash pass center to get everything resolved (the website is also really outdated). The staff also need to be trained a lot better, there was a lot of miscommunication and unprepared staff to help us with our simple problem. For the money we all pay to be there, the park could also use some major TLC.

L Suandy

Me and my family really enjoyed Six Flags, especially the FrightFest, which took place on the weekends. My favorite rides include Ninja, Wonder Woman:The lasso of truth, Gold Rusher, X2, Twisted Colossus, Tatsu, and others. I highly recommend Six Flags Magic Mountain.

David S

Great theme park, this is only my second time visiting Magic mountain specifically. Took a youth group here and they loved it. Staff was cool but the park was super busy. Didn't take a lot of pictures inside the park this time. This is the biggest Six Flags I've been to do day. It looks like they're building 2 more rides that should be open next year or the year after.

AMAZING PLACE ! For the one time I've been there, it was awesome. Six Flags is now considered my happy place ! The food is quite expensive (bag of taxis: $5) but overall it is quite good ! I recommend the fish a chips. But the main reason were all the rides ! They have rides for everyone, small kids, thrill lovers, water ride lovers, scary ride lovers, etc ! I recommend Goliath and Roaring Rapids (gets you soaking wet). The lines are not that long, but it does depend on what day and time you go ! Overall, it is a good place to go with your family and have fun !

Wagner Ureta

Lots of fun. Highly recommend Full Throttle. And going on Wednesday way less people at the park

Cheryl Yan

Worth the visit just for the roller coasters - did 5 rides and all unique in some aspects. Not a lot of shades in the park so be well prepared for a fine day.

Chris Palm

Six Flags Magic Mountain has an amazing lineup of thrills for all ages, it features some top tier rollercoasters but one downside to the park is there are not many places to cool off. If you're in the park during a hot day it's very draining and takes a lot away from your fun. Something the park really lacks is fans/misters around the park and line queues to help cool off guests. Also the ride queues are pretty ugly and run down, especially now that the park is open every day. The prices for the park is great, but service is mediocre and employees seem like they hate their jobs.

Vicky P

This location was super fun!!! We had a blast! At this time of year every ride we went on was literally walk up and ride! We also had a roast beef sandwich and a chocolate chip brownie at the cafe on location and it was pretty decent quality and price! Can't wait till our next visit!

Hannah Roberts

Amazing theme park! If you're looking for one specifically for the rides, this is the best you are going to find. A wide range of rides, most of them long, fast and intense. We went on a weekday and all the lines were between 5-10 minutes if not less! Only criticism is the food was over-priced for the amount, the same as every other theme park

Noah Godard

It's a fun visit at a good price, but not the best park in the world. It sometimes feels like an attempt to fit too much into too little space (at the expense of quality in some cases), with virtually no effort put into theming. The service varies, but is not as good as Disney, Knotts, Universal, etc. Overall, I'd recommend, but if you have to choose between this and Disneyland, Disney takes the cake, no question.

NicosHereDude

The rides were fun, obviously there were very long waits to almost all of them but we were able to go on a few good ones multiple times in a row. The riddler squeezes your legs and would not recommend. I was very thirsty at one point so I went to buy a water 20 oz from the vending machine. It said 6 dollars on the vending machine but I was charged 10 dollars! Overall the experience was fun but there were many things I did not like.

Joshua Dudley

Absolutely phenomenal location free for family and extremely clean Sonny Curtis cab I will strongly recommend getting a season pass in the Diamond Elite package the savings during one trip have already paid for itself between parking 50% all four merchandise at all stores makes truly the best buy!

Kevin Williams

Six flags is fun, but the last time I went it looked like it needed some renovations. Many of the rides look like they needed some paint, and they could really benefit from having a few more employees to make sure rides are running smoothly. Right now it's a free for all when you're boarding, which really gets confusing and seems to result in a decent number of empty seats despite long lines.

Manny Sanchez

If you love adrenaline, and love rollercoasters? This is the place to be, there is a variety of rides for kids and adults, just know drinks and food will be unreasonably priced. Overall it was awesome.

Edward Perez

My kids of been here 100 times do you love this part tons of thrills love to crazy roller coasters of the games to be played we also come every Halloween for the Halloween fest parking is not too bad and be ready to walk a lot because there’s a lot of walking here well worth it if you’re roller coaster junkie like my kids are going to love this place and in the summertime they also go to the waterpark next-door hurricane Harbor they like you couple cool slides there

A R Paez

Rides as thrilling as I remember with some great new ones. Get the app, for map and directions, which is very useful for a somewhat confusing park layout. The parking location is strange making it a very far walk to the entrance. Go to a tram pickup point. As a new annual member it was confusing understanding the perks. Again, get the app and log in first thing to see your perks. The staff won't be very helpful with this. They'll just tell you to get the app. I ended up spending more on several items that I wasn't aware were free your greatly discounted as part of my new membership.

Brittani Berg

Great rides!! Dining pass is well worth it. Pays for its self in one visit. During the week in the fall is the best time to go, 15 minute wait on all the rides

Shellye Ledbetter

Loved all the themed areas and awesome coasters...that were running. Would have given 5 but lots of long lines with only 1 or 2 staff in commonly used eating and drink areas. Several rides down throughout the day. And staff were not accommodating when issues came up. However i did enjoy myself as i came a long way from NC.

Jason

Six Flags is awesome. Can get very hot in the summer. The park needs a little reboot to compete with Disneyland and Universal but is still a fun park to come to with the family. Not so much for younger kids but i would say 11 and up

Jay Michael

A lot for the whole family to do. With thrill rides and roller coasters for the adrenaline junkies to kiddie lands for the young ones. There are lots of quick places to grab a bite and the park is landscaped beautifully. The terrain can be a little rough, so wear comfortable walking shoes. I would also suggest wearing a fanny pack to carry your phone and keys with you on the rides that don't have lockers. You'll be doing a lot of walking, but it's beautiful, shady towards the front of the park and its very clean. Stop by for sure! Easy drive from LA.

A Hubscher

Awesome park! Careful on hot days, though, because there isn't much air conditioning to be found and not a lot of shade, either. Great place for teens, adults, and adrenaline junkies! I wouldn't recommend bringing kids, there's almost nothing for them to enjoy.

Dan F

We had a good time here. Season passes are great to go in the afternoon for a few hours. Several new rides, plus some expansion taking place. That is exciting. Rides for different ages and some of the newer rides are great for those adrenaline junkies in the family. Superman and Crazanity to name a couple. Tats has you leaning forward facing down with loops and twists, kids loved it! Some healthy choice eating, but the food lines need some work. Had some pizza and it was good. Pretty at night, check those pics!

Seth Schaffner

Went in August. Lines were not bad at 3:30p. Had to wait 40 mins for first ride but less and less as the day progressed. Save Secret passage and bamboo shoot for last when the lines die down. Lazy river - no thrills 4/10 Cobra + fang 7.5 Secret passage 9 Daredevil plunge - fast short 4 Bamboo shoot - fastest 8 Inner tube single one 6 Giant raft one 7

Captain Chester.

I don't come here often because of how far it is and my work schedule but I have come a lot more this year than any other and have yet to ride all the rides. I'm so curious about the construction and excited to see what it will become, in the meantime sticking to the really cool rides there already. Plus the few water rides are refreshing. Yes, food and drink are expensive as all theme park food and drinks are but they have a lot of good options. The membership and season passes have a lot of great deals and stuff so if you want to go at least more than twice a year, I'd recommend season pass.

Brandon Fernandez

Of course I love this place. It's a theme park. Rides are for the most part maintained. They have an excellent members program for those planning to visit throughout the years.

Maralyn Smith

We went to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor on a Saturday Memorial weekend to meet family. Needless to say, the park was wall-to-wall people. I haven't been to the park in about 25 years and a few things have changed and they've added a few rides. However, the place continues to be worn and tired, and the water was cloudy and disgusting. I did order a chicken salad and I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh and tasty it was. We left the park after only a few hours because it was definitely not fun. More than likely, we won't go back.

Yvonne Mosqueda

The rides are amazing at Six Flags. Hurricane Harbor right next door makes for an awesome all day and night adventure. Stay cool in Hurricane Harbor and enjoy the thrills of Six flags.

Angela Thomas

I love the experience but so many rides were out of order for the price of admission. Due to so many rides being out of service caused for longer lines for the limited rides that were working. If they had 10 rides only 2 were in service so I wont be going back unless I have kids are something. Teens and kids can enjoy it I value my dollar.

D MT

Had lots of fun. Several different rides. Can get cold during the winter so make sure you have a jacket!

Rolando Francia

Great selection of rollercoasters and thrill rides. The atmosphere is lively and friendly. And the workers are nice and funny. There's also plenty of deals for tickets. Going on the weekdays will give you the best bang for your buck, because not as many people go which means being able to go on more rides.

Sean McAlpine

Didn't like having to pay for a locker at a lot of the rides , when most of them I didn't even have to when I got up to the station. Almost every ride has a storage box to put your stuff in I didn't see any reason why every ride couldn't have the same thing , the X2 ride was the only exception but I believe I could come up with a easy solution in 10 minutes , and every ride except for one you put your stuff in the storage box you may not see it again let me elaborate on this because it's not rocket science it's very easy to do it happen to me. Ok you're getting on the ride you go over to the exit side of the ride to put you're stuff in the storage box but you find there isn't a lot of room left because the riders just before you have there stuff in it , so you jam you're stuff in there and get on the ride now you come back to find you're stuff is now under a bunch of other stuff from the people who just got on the ride before you came back , but here's the kicker you're stuff is not there anymore because someone who was getting off the ride well you are now on the ride decided since you jammed you stuff in there on top of their stuff they're just going to take you're stuff to. I saw a lot of nice personal things go in there my back pack I was putting in there all day had everything in there wallet, keys, cellphone, money after I noticed this I couldn't tell you how many times I could have taken a small purse or a expensive item . The only one ride that had a full proof method was the new ride full throttle they had a container for each train and some one monitoring it so simple and easy this person was even doing other tasks it's so incredibly simple now why can't every ride do the same

Steven Arboleda

An incredible place for those who enjoy having a great time while feeling a bunch of adrenaline, there are many different types of games to choose from for the whole family, also the food it's great and not so expensive. You can also count with resting places, or games that require less extreme.

Oskie Mignon

Okay, so I'm not going to be brutal here. However, I will offer a recommendation (s) - better employee moral. I love Six Flags and the other parks within the family. The problem I encounter everytime I visit is the service when it comes to the parks employee's. Don't get me wrong, I've interacted with a few star park members but as a whole, I think a more holistic and genuine employee moral is in dire need.

Skylar Sharp

Super fun park! A great place to go if you're a thrill junkie. Depending on the day, the lines can move pretty smoothly. Only issue is that the prices for food are way too high.

Tamara Mendez

I Love MM!! However, today's trip was not the most stellar. The ride attendants at all but 1 ride were definitely not happy with their jobs. And treated the customers accordingly. The Only redeeming factor was the Entire crew at Twisted Colossus.....a BIG SHOUT OUT to the team there!!! You guys brought your A-game for certain!!!

Amber Lynott

Highly recommend the VIP experience! It seems pricey but, if you do the math, it is well worth it! All the food you want is included along with a front of the line escort onto every ride (with digital photos included as well). We got the best seats without any waiting and easily got in 20 rides in the day. Our tour guide completely enhanced the experience--she was whitty, accommodating, and patient. It was a fabulous day!!

Michael Francisco

I enjoyed all the rides with my family and friends. Best place to go for thrill seekers.. i gave 4 because some rides could be painful for the head because its bumpy. And the line is a bummer. Best to go early to try all. Thanks

Gabriela Becerra

I’ll start off by saying customer service is not the best Today I was so disappointed my family and I were in line for Canyon Blaster At Bugs Bunny World our favorite junior “family roller coaster” we ride this ride every visit it’s a fun little roller coaster that gives the opportunity to some of the persons in my party that don’t ride big coasters have a little fun We waited in line when it came to our turn the attendant asked us how many and said she would put us on the next ride since there wasn’t enough space she made us wait and then had the male that was controlling the ride tell us we couldn’t ride because most of us were over 12 years old I did not see any sign that said it’s for children 12 and under only nowhere did I see a max height just a min height of 33” with adult aside from that six flags really needs to work on their customer service not too many friendly employees other than the ones talking on the intercom sound some what excited to be working there

Nicole Harris

I love taking my kids here because they really enjoy it. I like how it is now open 365 days a year and the membership passes include Hurricane Harbor. They need to be able to let you speak to someone when it comes to customer service issues instead of making you leave an email with them online and waiting for someone to contact you 48 hours later. They need to work on the lines to get food. It takes forever! I don't like the different membership passes because it seems like the more you pay for a pass the more perks there are. The problem I have with that is that is almost $20 for the diamond elite membership. That's ridiculous! I have a family of 8 and if I were to spend that much per a person every month, that would cost me $160 and that's not even including the food! They make so much money they shouldn't be charging people so much when they are now open 365 days a year. With my family, I can't afford that. I only take my kids here because it is the most economical in my opinion.

Zachary Bilsky

Magic Mountain is one of the most exciting things to do in California! For those visiting from out of town, set a day aside for you and your family. A day of extreme fun! These roller coasters are EXTREME! Guaranteed to satisfy the thrill seekers. Don't forget about Bugs Bunny Land either! There is about 8 or 9 mini roller coasters for kids, so there is something for everyone! The price on food it's roughly $15 per meal, which in my opinion it's not too bad considering it's an amusement park.

Brittany F

I was only able to ride five rides in the nine hours I was there. THREE rides after spending an 45+ minutes in line suddenly announced they were down due to tech issues. Another thing to note: THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR LOCKERS right before you get on a ride (but not warn you about this until right before you get on the ride in the hopes you'll feel forced to pay since you invested all that time waiting). Pretty scummy to do if you ask me. Be up front right at the beginning of the line if you are going to force people to pay for lockers.

Alyssa Boiii

I have went here with family and the rides are amazingly exciting! The funnel cakes taste like they were crafted by angels and a piece of heaven itself! The rides are family friendly and the food variety is wide. the price is a little high but it is worth it! 10/10 would recommend

Ron Cambridge

Forget about Disney Land, this is where the real magic is and the real rides are, hence the name: Magic Mountain. Busy during holiday time, but a lot more comfortable when the children are back at school, so not much queues then. There is a flash-card (in a form of a watch), which allows you to skip some of the queues (some rides are not included). Shame they close at 6pm, which seems early. Great fun.

Phillip

It was awesome, the rides were great! There was one that bugged me though, they didn't put the lap bar all the way down and we couldn't lower it anymore. I had at least 8 inches between me and the bar and that ride threw me around pretty good. When I brought it up to an employee she ignored me and kept talking to her coworker.

Cory Newman

We had a fantastic time at Six Flags. The food was delicious, the rides were fun and it wasn't crazy wait times for rides. We'll definitely be back!

Lexy Nguyen

I bought the Diamond membership and wanted to ask a few questions so I started a chat with Agent : Diana T. She gave me really bad customer service. Not trying to solve my problems nor help me find a solution. She was also giving me a lot of false information that made me want to cancel my membership. Once I said that she was like well then pay the cancelltion fee its $141. Instead of trying should be helping me or trying to keep me as a member. I was like wow they must not value customer or even their membership holders. After going around over and over. I asked for the manager 3 times throughout out conversation and she wouldn't transfer me. She told me the Manager will just say the same thing and gave me the customer service number to call. That made me even more upset. She was pretty much saying the management would give me as horrible of a service as her. When she finally did transfer me. The Manager was able to solve my problem explaining to me what my membership entitled. The manager apologize for the other rep. Since the other rep was giving false information. She also told me she will talk to that rep to make she's better for the next person. Thank god

Princess Tatyanna

I visited Six Flags Magic Mountain on September 14th and I really enjoyed it. The rides were amazing and the food was great. It was super hot out there though lol. I look forward to visiting again someday.

Lollipop

In my opinion the best place you can spend your weekend. It's just a hyped and fun atmosphere and usually the lines are fast. It is better to go with friends though, it isn't as much fun by yourself. Fun for all ages I've been going for years

Shane Walker

DO NOT GO HERE! You have been warned. Quite possibly the worst experience of my life. The fact that they charge money to enter the park is laughable. Every line I stood in I had people cut in front of me. One line I stood in someone hopped the railing and landed on my 6year old kid and of course when I said something about it I was made out to be the bad guy. When I said something to the workers about all they said was "I'm sorry". No one there has any idea of what's going on. I guess the only qualification to work there is "are you able to breathe oxygen"? The wait time for the rides is not worth it. The food prices are not worth it. We ended up leaving after half a day and went to the beach instead. That was the greatest decision we made. Do yourself a favor and just spend the day at the beach. Stay away from this place at all costs.

Sharon Holmes

We got season passes this year and it's awesome. Both parks anytime. Food isn't the greatest and prices are outrageous, but we live close and can come & go as we please, so we make it work. Kids love it & so do we!

Kathy G

Great park ! I also make the trip to get over to six flags Darien Lake once a season. That park is awesome also. These are my two favorite six flags parks !

ori harel

Great theme park for all ages. From unreal rooler coasters to kids game. We had a great day there and everyone had fun. Not expensive after using a coupon

Alma Phelps

So much fun and great food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Read small print on their ad, website is efficient.

John M

Great ! park. Be careful of the membership scam on food all season. Time limits on when you can eat cause huge lines and when you're passed the times set, you are required to pay! Even if you've waited in line for over an hour... It's not cheap to eat here.. Suggest leaving the park to feed the family to stay on budget..

Somia Davis

If you live close enough buy the season pass online...its cheaper and totally worth it. I will go as much as I can. Have so much fun every time I go.

Carlo A.

Great fun place.. Had a blast.. But the people or shall I say kids who work there in the food area look lost and poorly trained.. No idea of customer service.. Waited almost 25 mins for a burger.. Ordered a lemonade and it was just water without the syrup.. Also, the park could use some maintenance.. Some painting.. Some small fixing here and there.. Its looks a bit worn.. And some places look older and a bit run down.. Rides were fun and was great to walk around. They just need to get these kids better training if they are going to be servicing people..

Damon Yang

Six Flags has the best roller coasters around, but 8 of the 12 good ones were closed the day I went. Which made the lines for the ones that were open even longer. Whoever is managing this place needs to be fired!

Matt Jones

I grew up going here in the 90s and it only gets better as the years go by! The new coasters are insane and the annual membership is the best deal around! Definitely worth the drive from Utah if your kids are cool enough to not scream for Disneyland every week. Actually nevermind, keep your screaming kids at home.

Brenda Ocampo

Best park to experience extreme rides. Very hot weather. Also offers rides so you can get wet and water slides. No outside food or drinks.

James Flick

Fun rides, the roller coasters here are the best in SoCal, but the layout of the place is horrible. The paths are not intuitive, and there are several steep hills that you have to climb to get to certain rides. Also there is next to no water availability anywhere. Make sure you bring water if it is a hot day.

Matt Voegtli

It's a pretty fun place but their customer service is terrible. No employee knows what's going on. I asked about dining pass functionality and got three different answers. Their website isn't much help either and they may or may not get back to you online. There is no way to call with a question.

Risa mos

We visited on a Monday so it was not too crowed and the lines were pretty short. Very clean with a very friendly staff. Staff member Mr. Germ was awesome.

Mrs. Price

Always fun! Getting a membership is the way to go! Reserve parking is a great feature. Just make sure you do it a few days/week before hand or you'll likely end up on the wait list.

Robyn Castello

Great value if you have passes. We come here for a few hours and go on a good amount of rides. Not usually super packed unless its a holiday or free bring a friend day

Martique Johnson

The most fun Six Flags I've been to in a long time. Definitely a good selection of rides and plenty of food options. Be prepared to spend a lot of money here between food and drinks, especially if you buy a Flash Pass. Definitely worth it regardless.

Khulood Alkanderi

A great amusement park. Breathtaking roller coasters. Waiting lines are very boring so you should have the fast pass ticket.

pablo dominguez

This place is really awesome!! And has super great deals on annual passes!! But at the same time, that's also one of the down sides, due to the low price, it's always packed! And u get a bunch of parents that just leave their obnoxious kids there. It should be more like 16 and under need a parent !! But other than that, best place for thrills!!

jio valdez

This is a great place to go if you are a roller coaster enthusiast or a thrill seeker looking to go nuts. Although the place itself is not really aesthetically pleasing compared to Universal Studious or Disneyland. I wouldn't really recommend it for most families who are looking for a relaxing day at the park with their children. The food is good enough and will make you full but it's nothing special either. Then again you get what you pay for. It is much cheaper compared to Universal or Disneyland, still worth the visit though.
