Ooo Sequoia..it had been 25 years since i was here..and i am sorry..took some friends for a weekend motorcycle ride..first time for them..they were in awe with beauty..had a bear run right across the road in front of us..glad it was in a slow corner...but the experience was great..saw some dear..great..was planning on doing Moro rock and Thorps log..but being older as we are and not used the alltitude..we could only walk Thorps complete trail...and museum...we were tired..legs done..Damn we have to go back...to bad huh..

We visited at the beginning of Sept and it was not very crowded except for some small crowds at General Sherman Tree. My two older children completed their Jr. Ranger workbooks and earned their badges.

Beautiful redwood trees and camp ground. We went during off season do it was still cold outside but it's easier to stay warm and you don't get the bugs. We even saw a few deers. It was relaxing and beyond expectations. It's mother nature at its best.

Loved every bit of this park! Just a short drive up from Fresno into the National Park. You pass beautiful citrus orchards on the way. There is even local fruit stands along the way. The visitors center has a small museum with artifacts on one side and a gift shop on the other. Across from the visitors center there is a spot with picnic benches to stop and eat your lunch. The scenery is so beautiful as you climb up the mountain towards the giant forest. You must stop at General Sherman and take a picture next to the biggest tree you will ever see! The trail is beautiful and great for the whole family. There are plenty of places to stop and take pictures and even pull an RV up and stay! A place to visit for sure.

I have a couple suggestions, though: lower the speed limits on the road up and down the mountains; paint the yellow lane lines and the white shoulder line; ensure all the sharp and hairpin turns are marked in advance so drivers can prepare; clearly inform visitors that there is a SIGNIFICANT drive before reaching the Big Trees!!! And increase the amount of parking, and ANGLED parking in order to enjoy the scenery at this beautiful park!
