Great spot to have a pinic and barbeque or little get together. Only downside is the extremely long walk. If you're bringing alot of stuff I highly recommend buying a wagon to carry your things.

Great place to bring kids. Lots of trails to explore, Sandy beaches for picnics with ample amount of shade. River can be cold and fast so be sure to keep an eye on the kids.

Fantastic park with lots of trails to explore, great beaches for hanging out and a generally fun and safe place. Things to know: depending on where you walk to once you enter the area you may wind up walking a half mile to reach the water; though you will see scattered remains of fires here - please do NOT make fires in this area, there are no established fire rings anywhere and the brush around the area is very dry for ~8 months out of the year and just waiting for an errant spark to start a runaway fire; not technically an off leash area, but there are lots of well-behaved dogs who wander freely with their owners.

Too many youngsters! Those darn kids were having way too much fun. With their Marco Polo games. They need to learn what time to go home, they act like they wanna live in the parkway.
