Overall park was nice, clean. The lighting policy is not communicated properly. I have been to other parks, that will give updates, we waited in line without being told any reason as to why. At 5:31, my daughter and son were in line to get a drink and the worker shut the glass door when they made it to the window. There should be a last call for refreshments if you close them thirty minutes before listed closing times. My four year old did not understand.

Really fun for the whole family. The waterpark has fallen into a state of disrepair. I love spending time together with my grandchildren and family but the park has some serious issues that they need to address. Steps are rickety, parts of the pool bottom are coming loose, children's slides are peeling and the side of the tile around the kiddie pool is exposed and extremely sharp!

We are going to tell y'all about our VERY BAD experience at point mallards point pizza.(this review is only about point pizza) We ordered at 1:10 and got our pizza and drinks back at 2:00. ALL we asked for was a simple PEPPERONI pizza. Then when he took out a fresh PEPPERONI pizza he started cutting it and putting them on plates when NOBODY in line was asking for slices of PEPPERONI pizza!!!!!!!! We were also at the front of the line when he cut them. After that, HE STARTED MAKING PIZZA BOXES WHEN HE ALREADY HAD SOME STACKED UP. At about 1:30 we got our drinks back which were 2 pepsis and two sprites. Then after another 30 minutes we got our pizza. Then we realized that after all of the wait, the pizza wasn't even good!!!!! If this review was about the water park I would give it 5 stars. We had a great time overall but it was very frustrating with the pizza.

Fun and exciting experience with different things to do for the whole family. Lazy river, 3 tube slides, and a wonderful wave pool spread out so you don't feel super crowded. My daughters loved it and would definitely go again.

Attended on a record setting day, but crowd was very pleasant. Park is amazing. Slides, wave pool, dive boards and towers. Regular pool to just chill in or relax on the spacious lawn. Park was clean, restrooms clean. Lines to slides moved quickly. Even allowed Tennessee River swimming at guarded, Sandy Beach. A real pleasure.

Been going since I was little. Learned to swim in the Olympic pool. I remember when the water slides were first built. Wish they would bring back the blue mats for them. Please get more rafts for the Sky Pond. Bring back the Luau! Very nice and clean. Best to come on Tuesday or Thursday with later hours and half price admission. We always take advantage of the season passes and refillable season cups. Well worth it!

Not a great experience I spent over $100 for my family of 5 but as soon as we got there they closed everything. We literally got about an hour to do anything thing. I basically paid for nothing and if I want to go back it's going to cost almost another 50 bucks. It is over priced for they offer.

Pace of play is a premium here which is VERY refreshing. They told us at the start they expected us to play in 2hrs per 9. And we did just a little over that. Would have easily made it if my cart had not broken down on 14. They got a new cart out to us quickly. Good course, old styled and tree-lined. Greens were in fantastic shape. The clubhouse is okay, but its dated and could use a refresh. One negative is the design of 18. You can hit a drive about 265 and still have close to 200 left as an approach and the hole is bunkered in the front.

Great place to go for a day of fun. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time standing in lines, walking long distances between attractions, and rubbing elbows with a lot of people. The rides themselves are great and they finally seem to be fixing up the park nicely. Just wish they could do something about the long slow moving lines.

Half the price of Nashville Shores, and we drive the further distance because we always have a great time! Very kid friendly but still fun for adults and the lines are never too long. Take swim shoes though. Concrete gets very hot. Concessions are reasonably priced too.

This place has always been a North Alabama staple for me. I saw third eye blind here years ago when I was a junior in high school. I've seen the wonders of real hot air balloons at the renowned Hot Air Ballon Festival. I've certainly spent my fair share of time at the water park and at the ice plex. Great place for the whole family to enjoy, or even for one [or one and some pups] to just a break from the busy world.

Nice little water park. Reasonably priced with plenty to do for the kids. The pool is huge, they have the usual water slides, lazy river, and a fairly large wave pool. If you're going on a Sat or Sun, get there early and there is usually little to no wait for the more popular attractions.

My 4 kids had fun, which is most important, but this isnt really that great of a water park in my opinion. There were only 3 out of 5/6 slides open and the same slides were closed as last year (are they broken?). Also dont like that they make you pay extra to rent a tube. My kids would say go back, but I would say, let's find something else to do.

Best water park around. Brings big crowds on holidays and weekends. Lines aren't a big issue because they have a giant wave pool and lazy river. The things you do wait for are exhilarating. The high jumps are definitely high.

The night swim event on saturday june 1st was a MAD HOUSE!! crazy people with guns on the premises, shooting two people!! Is there going to be Security check points in the future?!? I sure hope so!! Also they were completely over safe capacity!!! surprised no one drowned!!! You need to do a pre-sale for the tickets for an event like this. It was too crazy for me and my family. and the parking was OUT OF HAND!!! clearly posted no parking on side of the road, what was everyone doing? PARKING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. word must have gotten out, because ALL of North Alabama was there!!! crazy stupid is what it was.

The event for this evening made it difficult to get in so we had to leave and head back to Birmingham along with other people from out of town. When there is an event get there as early as possible or you will have a long wait. This turned out to be a disappointing trip for many families.

Yal have a white racism man. The supervisor that be in the picnic area. On the fourth of July, he was bothering black people about there music and let the white people play there music. And the black people were playing oldies, no rap music. Yal, need to check on that. Even the police said there were getting complaints about him being that way.

We had a great walk with our 3 dogs. The walking trail is about 60% shaded and our dogs could drink from the lake to cool off. We did about 3 miles of hiking and was mostly flat and enjoyable. Bring bugspray, the mosquitoes we awful. Will be back with bugspray that has 25% deet.

It was so greasy that we had 4 falls costing me a lot of money! I slipped and fell into pool with food I just bought, phone, sunglasses, everything. Nobody even checked on me. I just got screamed at for being in the pool in a no swimming area. They didn't even offer to replace my flipping food! Then said I'd have to wait to get my sunglasses off the bottom of pool bc none of the lifeguards there knew how to dive. What!?! Other than having to replace my food and had to pay $199 to replace my phone due to their greasy grounds, we had fun. I would love to show you pictures, but.... Phone went swimming.. remember?

Awesome place for our kids to play. We have a 3 year old and a 8 month old (obviously to young to do anything. The only thing I see as an issue is the fact that the lifeguards don’t really “guard” the bigger kids pool section. There are always teenagers in their and kids being absolutely insane, by knocking over or pushing other kids out of the way to get on the slides. In my opinion their should be a guard on each section of slides to have kids wait their turn. I’ve seen so many kids getting hurt by this. Other than that we’ve had no issues.

Our first outing to attend the Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic. I hope this review will paint an accurate picture this excellent facility. Mallard Point is a top shelf water / shoreline recreational park while keeping a homespun fun atmosphere. There is also a large athletic area including several beautiful baseball / softball fields with lighting along with a large covered pavilion that housed what seemed to be about eighty arts and craft vendor's booths. The meticulously kept grounds are still inviting and comfortably casual. Everyone one we interacted with were approachable and accommodating. Now the festival itself was worth the two hour drive. The winds hampered a launch but a late evening compliment of some 25 balloons did inflate in a spectacular display. All in all an absolutely wonderful experience.

We had a great time at Point Mallard Park. It's an all around wonderful place to take the kids for an amazingly fun day in the sun! At this time of year it's not too crowded. The place was very clean including the food court area as well as the facilities. Security is always present so we felt very safe while we were inside the park. All around friendly atmosphere. We will definately visit here again soon!

I went for free and still think I paid to much. Dealt with smart mouthed teen life guards who need a reality check the whole time I was there. I more than likely will never go back unless my wife has to go again for her works bbq and will leave as soon as I can from that.

They advertised that the hot air balloons would be there. They where if you where there at 6:00 am. That's ok but don't insinuated they wlll be there when they want. They told us they would be back around 5:00 pm but they didn't say that they would not be inflated until about 7:00. Took hot too boring.

We visit Point Mallard water park at least once per summer. The kids really enjoy it. This day it wasn't crowded and it was more enjoyable with little wait times for rides. The facilities were clean and the park was clean and well kept. I noticed heightened security with extra police officers on duty.

This was my first time going since 1989, and a lot has changed. My children had the time of their life. The wave pool, a timeless classic, my two oldest said it reminded them of the beach without the sand. My youngest really enjoyed the splash pad and the slides, ghe had to seeing that he stayed at the slides most of the day. We started our day at the lazy river and ended it at the lazy river. This will be apart of our regular summer routine.

They were very confusing.. we rented two tubs so that we didn't have to stand in lines... when we got to the slide they said.. oh you can't use those tubs on this slide... and then the other slide we had to wait in line of a tub because we only rented two because the lady said that we could use are personal tub so we only rented two... and at the second slide we couldn't use the personal tub... it was very confusing.. But we did have a good time! And the ice cream was good!

I’m currently at point mallard. In the past before allergies I could get into the park as a non swimmer without paying full price. This year I’m so allergic to nut oils in lotion that I can’t be around anyone. So I found a shady spot behind the food court area. Waiting for my kids to have fun. I asked if there was anyway I could get a break on admissions. Nope no way. I get it people take advantage of stuff like this. But if I would have known this back when the seasonal passes were half off I would have bought a pass then. There is no shade outside the park except over by the ball fields. I have no choice. I can pay full price to be near my kids or leave them at the park and wait for them across the parking lot. I’m pissed at people who ruin it for those who need a break. And I’m pissed at managers who can’t wrap their head around medical accommodations

We had a fantastic time. The whole family went. The giant slide going into the Olympic pool was awesome. When you go down by yourself, you get air and speed. Wave pool was good until they turned it off for some reason. Lazy river was just that, lazy and relaxing. We ended our day with the grandkids going down water slide. We ate lunch before going into park. They have a food court there if you get hungry or thirsty. Be prepared, it's spendy. You could pack a lunch and go back out of park and eat in parking lot or pavilion if no one has it reserved. They give You a wristband so You can go out and come back in. You can rent a water tube for 5 dollars and skip the lines and keep going. They also have 3 spring boards, also 5m,7m and 10m diving platforms. 10m was not operational. For as busy as it was, we got to do everything we wanted. Defiately worth it. Next time we are looking into camping and spend day at water park. Highly reccomend for whole family.

I have visited here since I was 14 years old. I still love this place. If you want some shade you need to be the first 20 or so there otherwise you will not get it. I went as a child, and took my children when they came along. Now I go with my grandson and my daughter. It has been lifelong fun for me.

We had a great time at Point Mallard Park. It's an all around wonderful place to take the kids for an amazingly fun day in the sun! At this time of year it's not too crowded. The place was very clean including the food court area as well as the facilities. Security is always present so we felt very safe while we were inside the park. All around friendly atmosphere. We will definately visit here again soon!
