This is a very quiet place to take a walk, read a book, take photos, take a nap, or just sit and relax in sun or shade. There are places for picnics and birthday parties too. Some dog walkers and a few who allow their dogs to swim at the river's edge.

The the river walk starts at Maderson Landing and loops around the Amphitheater. It is about 4 miles if you start complete a lap down and back. Pretty good for walking the pups or for a morning jog. Good for students who want a change from the trails on campus.

The park is always welcoming. We went there for lunch. One of the picnic tables had a wasp nest under the bench so be careful when you go. I don't want it to seem like the park is not taken care of but more of a reminder to watch out for these things. If you haven't been to the park you are missing out. Very good for jogging as well.

This place is beautiful, clean and convenient. There are many photo ops and sitting areas. You can sit on the grass and watch boats go down the water. It's great for kids but you have to keep a close eye on them due to the water and traffic that is near by. The University of Alabama is super close. We have a good time when we come here.

Very nice and clean. There is a place to get right down on the water to sit on boulders. Also a couple of nice piers to relax on. Amazingly quiet for the normal busy crowd there and dog friendly.

We have been going to Manderson Landing regularly with our dogs, no issues until today! Today our leashed Dogs were viciously attacked by an unleashed pitbull! Our male dog was extremely bruised up and our female was admitted to Emergi-pet in Northport for treatment of a severe bite wound resulting in sedation, staples, stitches and a drainage tube for the next 10-14 days. The owners of the pitbull were pure cowards, they loaded their unleashed dog up and sped out of the parking lot. This is not a reflection of the many wonderful pet owners and pet lovers we have encountered, it is however a true example of bad owners that do not care about others, or their own pet!

Beautiful, public space with river access for your canoe or kayak. It's part of the downtown Riverwalk trail system for runners, walkers, and cyclists. Gorgeous views at night of the lights on the other side of the river in Northport. Seems somewhat safe at night with the lights and some strategically placed security cameras.

Pretty walking track by the river, lots of wildlife, trees, benches and tables in the shade, but I can't locate a restroom. I see lampposts, emergency buttons, grills, and trashcans. Looks handicap accessible. Fair amount of parking . Caution though, they have signs about not misusing the trees, no hammocks, ropes, climbing, etc on the trees .

Good place to chill out, watch wildlife or read a book. Benches are shaded and some are secluded so you can find your quiet spot. You can also jog/walk/bike along the riverwalk. It's pretty long, so you can get a good exercise from it.

Giving this a four star rating simply because it has no public restrooms. There are some about a half mile down to the West. Great place for a walk or run with dogs or kids, or even a bike ride. Beautiful and right on the river!

The park is more of a walk/bike down the river, but it feels safe, has great scenery, and generally being used by many people. It's worth the trip to walk down the river and if you are a local, to regularly visit.
