You have the information of real people who consumed the services and products of Little River Canyon National Preserve (Park) in Alabama area.
Now this firm has a score of 4.8 over 5 and the rating has been based on 1663 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is virtually the highest, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the rating is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to leave their review when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Park is classified in the category of Nature preserve.
Very nice with numerous and easy access overlooks. Dry time of year and water flow was low. Still beautiful and well worth the drive. Oh, area is well maintained and very clean.
Great place to ride Motorcycle. Awesome Center facility, friendly staff. Gotta be careful on the second part of the ride on CR 275, there's some gravel near every adjoining road and low places. Kinda hard to see the canyon unless you stop at the overlooks. They should pave the overlooks for motorcycles. Gotta come back in the fall or spring to see a good flow over the falls.
Great hike with the dog. Pretty views despite drought. Nice swimming hole to cool off at the end of red trail.
Such a beautiful ,natural park. Hiking trails and waterfalls. They have a small restroom and a boardwalk trail through the woods. Nice place to enjoy nature's beauty!
Little River Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the eastern United States with beautiful waterfalls. The Little River flows through Mount Luke and creates a narrow canyon. The national nature reserve covers an area of 55 square kilometers. For those who are adventurous, you can come here to sign up for an outdoor route and experience camping in the mountains of northern Alabama.
This is my happy place. They are pet friendly and even have a dish of dog biscuits at the welcome centre desk and a dog water bowl by the drinking fountain for the humans. I love this place and have spent hours there.
Pretty area with wheelchair accessible ramp to see the waterfall. Easy walk to see the river and a lot of pull offs for overlooks and pictures. Not too much to do here, but it's a nice place to see and go for a walk!
Absolutely beautiful and amazing natural park. Lots of great views.
Will always love this beautiful spot!
A beautiful place to explore. Rock formations, place to swim, and great pics.
It was so very beautiful the waterfalls are great! But people need to remember what a garbage can is for!!! And not use the ground for there garbage dump. Cigarette butts put them in your pockets then empty your pockets in the trash can. Mother Nature can't stand much more of this type of foolishness!!! Nature is to be loved by all and kept clean!!!!! PLEASE OUR CHILDREN WON'T BE ABLE TO BREATH OR ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF THIS EARTH IF PEOPLE DON'T STOP IT NOW! NOW NOT LATER
Awesome views, although very dry year so no falls, beautiful drive around the preserve.
If you love scenic overlooks, this is a good place to visit. However, I have not, as yet, found a good trail in an older, established forest for hiking. I will continue my search and update if I find one.
Beautiful views, with plenty of wonderful photo ops. Be careful in the water, the rocks can be slippery.
The views are spectacular and hiking and climbing here was an awesome adventure! Super excited to go back!
Great area with nice views and some decent hikes. Highly recommend at least driving through.
Although it would be easy to miss on your way to Atlanta, the little River Canyon is worth a stop for some pleasant hiking trails and breathtaking scenic views. The park service rangers and volunteers helped us get the most of the experience!
My Favorite Place in Alabama
Perfect time of year. Low water, lower falls has an amazing swimming hole.
Beautiful scenery! The scenic drive has several beautiful overlooks. I recommend the short hike down to the falls and there are a couple of benches on the bridge that give you a nice overlook of the falls from a high vantage point. We'll definitely be back with the whole family!
Very little water. Couldn't find a way to get to the bottom or the falls. Dry and hot this time of year. The Visitors Center was very nice and informative.
Very pretty and wonderful views. They allow visitors to walk out onto the riverbed. We hiked down to the "Hippie Hole" swimming area, which is approximately 3/4 of a mile from the parking lot at the bridge. That was one of the roughest trails I've ever been on and the 180 "steps" at the end are not for the faint of heart. They views and experience are worth the trek, however.
It's real Good alot of people and game wardens there tho
Fantastic scenery.....good hiking area.... Beautiful in winter with snow....!!
We're from out of state and that is the most beautiful place it took a while to get there. On their Mountain thank God I had a walking stick but it was worth every breath and every step down that mountain
I rode my Harley down thru this trail. Awesome beautiful rides. Roads are in fair condition. Great bike ride in my opinion!
Pretty cool area that my family and I enjoyed. Hiked down to the falls which was definitely worth seeing. Highly recommend..
Beautiful scenery and helpful rangers. Please pick up after yourselves. There are plenty of trash receptacles available.
This is one of my " TO-GO-TO " places, just to get away, usually quiet but can get crowded. They tell me that this spring they are going to clear some of the canyon wall of tree for better viewing. When I first came to the canyon about fourty years ago the trees had not overgrown the walls making for a lot better viewing. I hope so because there are some spectacular sites to see.
I grew up there and I have not been able to take my family. I love this place
The canyon was beautiful today and the drive mellow. You rarely find many people at the canyon in the middle of the week. If you love to to explore and relax without the crowds visit away from the weekend.
I love this place! Slow curvy roads on my motorcycle or just hiking and swimming, it's a great place
I do love this place! So sad that it’s not getting the care it once had. Some parts are a little unsafe for children due to no rails but it’s so beautiful
Absolutely gorgeous. A breadth to be admired and respected.
I've been coming here for as lo g as I can remember. One of my favorite places on the planet. Beautiful views and a great place to explore.
Absolutely gorgeous! Stunning ! A must see ! Had a fantastic time here walking trail seeing the waterfall and visiting the visitors center. They have a gift shop and video that tells you about the history of the Canyon as well. Great way to spend the day. Educational experience for children and adults as well.
This is a great place to visit and Avery scenic hike
Little River Canyon has beautiful views 12 months a year. On a clear day in winter you can see the beautiful tree lined mountains for miles. Gorgeous breathtaking waterfalls, easy walking trails and pathways. In the fall there are amazing views you wouldn’t believe unless seen. I highly recommend you visit this National Park if you’ve never been, you won’t be disappointed.
Great area to visit. We went rappelling in little river canyon. It had some amazing views of rivers and mountains. The cliffs were perfect for rappelling and rock climbing.
It was ready fun and had lots of great views
Needs paved pull off for motorcycles. Nice ride. Just wasn't able do pull offs.
Awesome place to do some gentle hikes or even a little heavier hikes . Beautiful views
The falls and canyon are breath taking .I heard a little girl with her family say a whole lotta of WOW.Could not have said it any better.
Stunning beauty. Amazing sights. Incredible waterfalls. Fun for all of the outdoor feels! Kayaking, swimming (summer) hiking.
Love it, born and raised here, always a beautiful place. Although they really need to weed eat around the overlooks.
Absolutely beautiful, awesome motorcycle your route. Many, many turn outs with amazing views.
A great area to swim and hike. Really amazing views, especially at sunset.
The view of the waterfall here is great. The visitors center here is also interesting.
Natural beauty at it's finest. You can take a relaxing drive around the canyon road, stop off at one of the many incredible overlooks, swim in the river at the park or visit the Little River Canyon Center
The welcome center was really nice. They have a short movie you can watch about the park. There were rangers throughout the park and they had a water bottle fill-up station in the boardwalk to the falls. The boardwalk was handicap accessible. The falls water flow was down due to it being summer and having little rain, but that created a great opportunity to explore closer and get in the water. Several people were swimming at the Little Falls. We spent about eight hours there. We parked at the welcome center and hiked the Bridge Trail, the Boardwalk, The Little Falls (or Little Martha Falls), waded at the Little River Falls, enjoyed the views and ate our picnic lunch at Lynn's Overlook. Beaver Pond Trail was disappointing because there was no pond at the end and the trail was overgrown in some areas, the overlook was overgrown with no view at all. We explored at the Mushroom Rock and were sadden to see the graffiti, it's a cool rock formation to check out. We saw a meadowlark, blue jays, hairy woodpecker, and brown thrasher.
Beautiful place to visit. Great scenery
Beautiful!! This place is great to go and just hang out meditate just being nature you don't have to worry about too many people there you might see two or three passing by if you are out walking the path it's great to take your animal for a walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery just be careful and look down and don't trip on a rock because it is a very long way down on those cliffs..
Beautiful place. It's nice right after it rains
Really a gem! Great layout with a short, easy hike that builds anticipation. Very glad we drove up here.
Very friendly staff at the welcome center. They have an education room with live snakes and interesting items from nature. The falls are beautiful and there is some nice hiking and rock climbing.
Chaperoned a group of Ohio high school seniors for a week down in Cedar Bluff, Alabama. Various activities were planned, but the best part of the trip was spent at the Little River Canyon Nature Preserve. The time spent on the hike down to the water and back was well worth it, even on the hot day we had. Would go back to Alabama just to visit the Preserve.
Great swimming and fun at Martha's Falls
One of the most amazing places in Alabama. Must see
This is one of the most beautiful parks in the state of Alabama. There are great hiking trails and many things to do in the area. I have been coming here for at least 15 years. Amazing variety of plants that only grow in this area.
One of my favorite places in all of Alabama. It's peaceful and a wonderful place to bring the family. The views alone are worth the trip. Also great hiking trails. Great anytime of year to visit
Another great spot to admire. Not a long hike. A short walk to an amazing waterfall and some great scenery. Check it out some time.
The 12 mile scenic drive is great for some fun driving. The curvy roads with walls of trees on both sides make your exhaust sound aweosme. The falls is alright too xD
Beautiful, dog friendly, with some really lovely trails. Let's keep this place clean and preserved for generations to come!
Great view and a better water fall. Best time to watch is sunset!
Beautiful place to visit. The views were great. The canyon is off the beaten path.
Beautiful scenery, a fabulous place to spend time with friends and family!
This is a really nice park. It's good to spend time with family while camping or hiking. It's definitely also nice to just go alone and exercise. Running along the shore of the river is especially relaxing. There is a big waterfall there too. Overall a great natural location.
It is a great place to go too. Also very beautiful.
Is awesome place for family clean and very well patrolled by the park rangers to keep it safe
Great place to go to enjoy the sights, and kids love it also.
Beautiful, serene atmosphere. BE CAREFUL, people were being airlifted out of the canyon due to a fall at the Hippie Hole. Tread with caution.
Always a great place to hike, or exercise. I love to come here and just find a rock and sorta meditate on it. I come here once or twice monthly from Rome, GA. So worth it.
Not too difficult of a hike down to the swimming area I'd say it's about a mile and a half each way. Definitely more strenuous coming back up though. There was a park ranger on site walking around checking bags. Beautiful spot! I have large dogs that slightly pull when they hear water so wouldn't recommend bringing any large animals for the last bit of the hike before arriving at the swimming hole because the steps are carved into steep rocks. Did see some small pups out there ( that were most likely carried in some spots) Will definitely return !
Absolutely Beautiful all year long. Every time I make the trip to the canyon I am amazed at the incredible views and wildlife.
Beautiful area. Lots of overlooks. Most are overgrown in the spring and summer so the view may be reduced.
Very pretty place, theres just alot of people in the warmer months.
Best waterfalls ever! Check it ou ...
Love swimming here great family area
Great spot to relax with beautiful scenery & water to cool off in
Beautiful scenery. Loved the area.
Nice park. Great for swimming during the summer.
Easily one of my favorite day trips in the state of Alabama. The wildlife is amazing as well as all of the beautiful swim spots and hiking trails! We have been up every other weekend (pretty much) this summer.
Such a beautiful spot for anything. Problem was Visiting Center closed at Four p.m. I was on Eastern Time. Really messed up. Now got to return soon. Still marvelous crowds. Easy walking.
Beautiful fall colors on Lookout Mountain. The Canyon Center had demos and an informative movie about this part of Alabama. There are hiking trails and the falls are a short walk. There are restrooms and a nice gift shop.
I went here with my family. It was very beautiful.
We visited over the July 4th weekend. It was very crowded but the kids loved it and we were able to escape the heat for awhile. Great swimming hole with a walking trail also.
Loved Little River Canyon! Went swimming at the Hippie Hole (Martha's Falls) and then went the The Canyon Center!
We enjoyed the field trip to LRCNP so much. It was exciting to learn new things about this majestic place that we are blessed to have right in our back yard. We will definitely be making another visit very soon!
Family friendly and very nice. Places to cookout or have a picnic.
A must see national park. Beautiful views and waterfalls! Hiking trails, swimming and camping. Wheel chair accessable at the falls. They also have "classes" that are educational and fun for adults and kids alike. Check out their Facebook page and see the many classes they offer. Stop by the Canyon Center and meet the amazing staff. They have free maps and will tell you about the things to see while visiting!
We loved little river canyon. Everything was so beautiful. We have already said we will be back in the fall to see it when the leaves change. We stopped at every lookout and got out and explored a little. It was a great half day adventure. Be aware if you have a low vehicle you won’t be able to turn into some of the overlooks due to them being washed out some from the roadway.
Nice park with 2 good areas for swimming and enjoying the area.
This place is amazing and has a wonderful waterfall and I'm glad they allow you to play in the upper side of it.
Little River Canyon National Preserve in Alabama, not far from Georgia border is a park of a canyon through which the Little river runs. The highlight of the park is the Little River falls with the lake in fron of which. In summer you may see families picnicking and swimming in the lake. There is a not very well defined trail that takes you from the overlook over the falls down to the swimming area/ lake. There is also a scenic drive along the rim of the canyon with few overlooks stop/parking areas. It is beautiful and worth visiting but not stunning.
Alabama's own Grand Canyon. Don't miss it.
This place was great. Gorgeous views, helpful staff at the visitor center. Long, winding mountain roads with amazing overlooks. Several hiking trails. If you enjoy being outdoors, you'll love this place. Stop in at the guest center and pick up a couple maps and trail directions and spend the day.
This is a breath taking park. Absolutely gorgeous. The waterfall was do calming and the area was so big, it was fun site seeing the whole day
Best thing to do in fort payne
Little River Canyon is breathtaking. The views from the overlooks are spectacular, as are the rock formations. Water is low right now so the falls are minimal.
We drove the Canyon Rim scenic route from the Canyon Mouth Park to Little River Falls. Pretty drive and great photo opportunity at the overlook stops. The veiws were beautiful and it was fun to swim at the Hippie Hole which is a not too hard hike from the Falls.
Awesome place to watch the water all the waterfalls flowing through the canyon
We had a very nice time there, it wasn't as "Grand" as I had imagined it might be, but my family had a very nice time stopping at all the overlooks and taking in the beautiful scenery. Our favorite parts were hiking the beaver pond party (didn't walk all the way, but it was still lovely), and roasting hotdogs over a fire pit near the parking by the last overlook. It probably won't be our last time.
Can't believe this wonder is an hour from our house! Just gorgeous. Could have stayed all day.
Great place to go rent a cabin and just enjoy the outdoors
I feel lucky to have such a beautiful place nearby. Drive around the area. Check out the different overlooks. Get out and enjoy a hike down. It's so wonderful, don't just limit yourself to the area by Highway 35.
This park is filled with beautiful views and easy to follow trails. With the ladder we were able to go from the top to the pools below in under 20 minutes and vice versa. There were a few areas where I had to essentially do some bouldering to get to where I was trying to go and the less mobile people had to be lifted and pulled up. There are lots of swimming areas and boulders to jump off of and climb. Bring your bug spray.
Endless river boulders and sporty climbs. Hidden gem for sport climbers. Don't go here.
One of the most awesome places in state of Alabama. The canyon is the largest and deepest east of the Mississippi River . I spent most of my teen years in and around Little River Canyon . It is nature at its best .
